Reviews of Ordway Center for the Performing Arts
Enjoyed Beauty and the Beast. What a magnificent show! The talent, music, and show production was top-notch, and the venue is amazing. As a Broadway-adapted musical, the small tweaks in script and music kept the story fresh while staying true to the original story. After the show we walked through Rice Park and experienced a marriage proposal!
Friendly employees and a beautiful venue for watching the beauty and the beast! We so enjoyed it!
We took our whole family to see Beauty and the Beast for Christmas. Absolutely breathtaking and wonderful. One of the best shows I've ever been to and it brought back so many childhood memories for my daughter who's actually in her 30s and couldn't hear me singing every word every song. Wonderful wonderful time thank you Ordway
Gorgeous. Opera is always delightful. Staff is very helpful. Box office has very limited hours and is extremely hard to reach. I ended up not being able to attend a performance. My ticket was at Will Call, and I would have loved to give it away to someone, but couldn't reach anyone...so I guess I made a donation to the opera.
Absolutely amazing performance of Beauty and the Beast last night. The cast kept it true to the Disney movie. My 6 year old granddaughter was mesmerized. Performers were wonderful. Would definitely see it again.
This place is friggin awesome! The back stage crew is on point!!Lighting during shows Rocks !! Sound is amazing!!! Everyone in the building that I have met is courteous and extremely helpful. I will come to performances as much as I physically can. I recommend this venue to everyone.
Loved the show... the seats were great... thank you, ticket agent!!! Will call worked like a dream.
Came and saw the Beauty and The Beast performance. The show was amazing and the character drinks were very cute!
We were a party of 9 ranging in ages from 10 to 76. Beauty & the Beast was every bit as wonderful in costumes, cast, music, and sets. We all loved the musical. It was a magical evening.
Amazing sounds and terrific performance. Beauty and the Beast but I'm guessing any play would be great.
The Ordway is the best Twin Cities musical theater by far. I have been to the Orpheum, State and the Guthrie, and the Ordway surpasses all three. The expansive space and available seating is unmatched. The location is also fantastic.
Had a lovely time at the Pedway. I saw Beauty and the Beast. They had character cocktails, the place was beautifully decorated, seats were comfortable, clean. The play was wonderfully done. I loved the inclusivity and diversity.
Beauty and the beast was amazing! Always a great time here!
Beauty and the Beast was such a great show! We really enjoyed it!!
The Ordway is the premiere performance venue in the Twin Cities! And the performance was incredible. We saw Beauty and the Beast, a truly wonderful production!
We had a great time as a family of 5 seeing beauty and the beast, we wish a couple of things would be different, a rest on site would be really nice, and the gift shop could definitely offer more options especially for a play like beauty and the beast.
Six qas excellant. Highly recommend it this one better than last six play I saw two years ago. Sold out show.
Love Ordway.
Said the Last Ship written by Sting he was canceling on doing it.
Welcoming, kind, helpful staff, beautiful building, pretty view of the park in winter, clean bathrooms. Seats are more comfortable/slightly roomier than at The Orpheum.
Beautifully done production, Beauty and the Beast. Stage was decorated very nice and props were amazing. Cannot wait to see another production.
Outstanding theater -we've been here many times and will continue to come. Always great shows at a great venue.
Best PAC I've ever been to. Amazing architecture, clean everything, nice elevators, good beverages, comfy seats for a theater, great overall, cant wait to come back!!!
Great venue. The arrangemet makes every seat a great seat. The performance was very well done and the talent was incredible
We went and saw Mike Birbiglia on a Saturday evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the bartenders definitely mix a good drink. The space was clean and well maintained. We will definitely be back!
Had a fabulous time with my daughter at a performance of Elf the Musical! The refreshments were delicious (cake, coffee, cookies) although only drinks are allowed inside the theatre. A wonderful pianist filled the air with holiday tunes, as everyone had their fill of cranberry vodkas and gin and tonics. Many bars throughout the theatre as well as a coffee bar. A must for families!
Beautiful & comfortable venue with phenomenal performances.
Comfortable seats, great view from almost everywhere, easy access to amenities. Loves the show too (Six)!
Such a wonderful theater! We saw Beauty and the Beast. The entire experience was fantastic.
Beautiful 😍 The Sounds of Blackness, singing for God!! …
Good venue and friendly staff! Guthrie doesn't have a bad seat but there seats with occluded views at the Ordway. Good concessions offering. Programming is good. Beautiful location. They building has that grand feel.
Amazing staff and great performances!
The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts has a spectactular concert hall and the sounds that fill the space while the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra (SPCO) is perfroming is wondeful, so much so, it's as if you are being transported to a different time or place in life. Everyone should experience a concert here, you may fall in love with the music. Bring a friend and introduce them to the experience as well. It is one you will not soon forget.
Have been visiting since I was a teenager, this is STILL one of the BEST places to see a play or musical in the Twin Cities! Site lines are terrific and a majority of the seats are FANTASTIC! The sound is wonderful and the theater itself is beautiful.
The renovated chamber orchestra concert hall is also STATE of the ART and UNBELIEVABLE for sound. Not a bad seat in the hall and GORGEOUS!
Ordway staff I have encountered has always been friendly and helpful!
We went here to see local youth in the Vocal Essence performance. It was phenomenal. Highly recommend seeing this performance. We were seated in the smaller theater at the Ordway. The seats were slightly uncomfortable and hardly any leg room. If you go on a non-event day you could park in the Science Museum parking lot. When we went it was $5.
Saw White Christmas Dec 30th and thought the whole experience was wonderful. Beautiful venue inside and out and decked out for Christmas with plenty of picture opportunities--except why put up a cheap screen as a backdrop for the crowd to do pictures when you've got plenty of nooks with trees and decor that are much more pleasing? Liked the $10 valet parking!
Our seats were in the balcony and we still had a great full view of the stage. The sound was fantastic as well.
Come visit for a tour of the space or a show, it's a great tiny hall that seems to be built specifically for the size and sound of a chamber orchestra. Staff are informative and friendly and the space is wheelchair accessible.
Way better venue than Orpheum. I am half Asian and felt targeted and discriminated at Orpheum. I will always go to Ordway from now on. Love the atmosphere and staff at Ordway.
There isn't a bad seat in the house! Every opera I have been to here has been sublime! Ushers are very helpful in finding your seats. Prices are reasonable for the quality of work being performed. This is a destination to be sure to stop at!
Accidentally got tickets for the wrong date. Called and spoke to Graham and he made it so easy to correct my mistake and get me the show I was looking for. Great Customer Service!
First time here and I had a great time. This is the smaller venue but it was perfect and cozy. Only issue is that people were coming in at the middle of the show and that included people in front of us, they practically blocked me and my boyfriend views so we leaned over most of the second hour of the show and he’s 5’9”; so the seats could be lift a bit higher.
Beautiful venue. I saw Six here and it was SO much fun. Will definitely come back again.
I was amazed at everything! I have not attended a perfotmance at the Ordway in many years and was very impressed and excited by the incredible new design and acoustics.
Breathtaking! I came for A Rap on Race and loved the performace, and the space. Truly a beautiful place to see the performing arts. I want to go back, mostly just to be in the space!
Life hack: we learned that the pitch of the floor seating goes up slightly around row P. Great, close up seats, and you can look head on, with no blockages, and without craning your neck. Just sayin...
Beautiful venue. Parking across from the Xcel center was quite reasonable. Beauty and the Beast was great.
Gorgeous venue. We saw Dream Theater, not the typical act you'd catch here as they're intense prog metal, but the acoustics were flawless.
Great seating setup, clear views from anywhere in the house. Quality bars, professional staff. All in all a great night at an awesome new-to-me venue.
Amazing place came here for a field trip and it was amazing' if you want to learn about history of Martin Luther King come here.
Great view. Everyone was very helpful. Can not wait to see beauty and the beast this Christmas
Saw Okee Dokee Brothers during the day. The staff was friendly and gave us a wonderful theatre experience even though it was a field trip with kids from multiple area schools. Would definitely go again
I love seeing shows at the Ordway. Plenty of legroom, the sound is great, and the staff are always wonderful!
Beauty and the Beast, phenomenal presentation and production, thoroughly enjoyed it, wonderful orchestra, great acoustics!
Comfy seats and nice layout great show! Parking was easy but $20. It was decorated nice but i didn't feel out of place in a nice shirt and jeans.
Great place to see theater performances. Great service. Friendly staff and helpful.
It was a beautiful theater I bet the play would have been nice but it was cancled due to lead actors being sick.
Outside cabaret shows are still going on near the loading dock. See a weekend show and buy tickets at ordway.org
There’s a stage with tables and chairs arranged over the black top. The bustling downtown, with the sound of buses, trains and passer-bys makes this a unique setting for sure . Actors and audience Maintain a distance of six feet apart. The artists stand to deliver to an audience of less than seventy.
Great theater! Saw elf! Very accommodating to limo pick up/drop off! Food and beverage lines were ridiculously long.
Beautiful facility, superb staff and there doesn't seem to be a bad seat in the house. We went to an event recently and were in nearly the back row on the main floor, but the view was brilliant. Can't wait for the next opportunity to visit!
Saw beauty and the beast, absolutely loved how clean the ordway was. The holiday decor was beautiful as well
An annual event to see the featured play around the holidays! An excellent venue and performers!
Beautiful venue. There is a nice garden and fountain area across the street and cafes nearby. We attended a performance during the Latvian Song and Dance Festival.
This is such a beautiful theater!!! First time there - will definitely be back!!
Awesome venue! Love the grand staircase and the piano area! Great show as well!
Ordway is always a class act. Wear your best or more casual, you will love anything you see!!
Very helpful workers seating and sound great.cant say enough great about this place
One of the great concert halls in town. It includes nice smaller spaces for chamber music, jazz nights, etc. Great views of Rice Park from the upper lobbies.
I saw an amazing performance of Six. The theater has very comfortable seating.
Quality performances in a beautiful space, with a wonderful public park and many restaurant options nearby.
Beauty and the Beast was terrific!!! The staff was amazing and the lobby was beautifully decorated.
This is a beautiful establishment, everyone working there were very kind and I had a wonderful time! Thank you Ali, Tammy and everyone else I encountered. Bonus, was that we saw a Broadway quality show right here at the Ordway!!
A great place to go see music, even the Dream Theater show I went to. Had beautiful architecture and acoustics. Great experience overall.
Wonderful venue! They put on outstanding performances, and their staff goes above and beyond! I had hurt my knee before the show, and on the intermission, I asked for ice from the bartender, and another staff saw this brought me an ice pack, ibuprofen, and got me a seat on the aisle with no one in the seat next to it so I could elevate my leg.
Gorgeous venue for the best shows! The staff is especially professional and courteous! Love it!
We've seen numerous productions from Mamma Mia to Kinky Boots and there's not a bad seat in the house. The ushers are extremely helpful and there's usually an art installation to admire before the show begins.
Cute decor and very comfortable seats!!!! Saw SIX and what an AMAZING show!
JoAnn Fabrics trip. Not happy with the prices. Same spray paint at Home Depot $4 less!
Beautiful venue. Seated first row second tier great view of stage. Attending staff make guests feel pampered and amenities are well appointed. If you have not been I highly recommend it.
I love performances at The Ordway. The sound is very good wherever one's seated. Some of the seats on the far left and right have poor sightlines, but the sound is always great.
First time going to the Ordway Center and was pleasantly surprised with the layout on the stage and acoustics with the music that you could hear the percussions of the instruments so clearly. We will definitely will be back again to hear more musical events.
Stunning atmosphete, atmosphere, and clean. Beauty and the Beast, fabulous
My first visit. It is a great place to listen to music.
Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is a treasure! This Grammy award winning orchestra is a wonderful place to listen and learn about Baroque, Classical, and modern music. I’ve been going to listen to them for over three decades! ❤️❤️👍🏻 …
My wife and I saw Elf The Musical here over the holidays and it was amazing. Great staff. Great venue. Great performances.
I saw the Opera Carmen and it was absolutely fantastic. It was my first opera and I will be back. And of course the hard way is just a beautiful place.
Always a delightful experience. Truly not a bad seat in the house
Great place for a concert, great acoustics and view
There are better theaters in the Twin Cities but this is no ordinary market. This showhouse would easily be the best in any other Midwestern market save Chicago.
Loved the performance I seen from black violin. The only down fall was the bar closed at 8pm and we couldn't get any more liquor :(
An amazing theater! The building is lovely and the stage incredible. The acoustics are fantastic! Our seats have us several sections above stage level yet the orchestra sounds precise and perfectly measured. I'm in awe of how perfectly the opera singers voices carry through this amazing venue. My first opera here at the Ordway will hopefully not be my last as I cant wait ti return for other performances.
Classy theater connected to Xcel, River Centre, Roy Wilkins
What a wonderful theater! We really enjoyed it! Great atmosphere and acoustics! Seats are pretty comfortable. Very kind and helpful staff. Good desserts. They even have closed captioning for the whole performance on helpful signs on each side of the stage! We really enjoyed it! Got great seats at great prices! We will be back! Short walk, straight up the block from the science museum. I recommend using the science museum parking garage...
Love the new Ordway excellent place with great sound for music and singing. Lots of great little places to eat and drink around it too.
Great place for music, musicals, concerts. Kids are often free now, and it's located a block from the Science Museum.
Fiddler on the Roof was great on their first night. We enjoyed the play and impressed by the full house, all masked and vaccinated. Thanks Ordway!
Great Venue and Great show (Beauty and the Beast)!
First time at this iconic venue in Saint Paul and it was wonderful. The theater is beautiful, seating comfortable and the acoustics were excellent. Parking is abundant nearby, and there are several great places to dine or drink before or after a show. We will definitely return.
Saw Six. Fun show, lots of excitement in the lobby.
Wow... no bad seats, site lines or sound zones! And small enough for that personal performance, while big enough for National Acts.
Sold on The Ordway!
Very beautiful place. I finally returned to the Ordway as an adult as I used to visit it as a child. It's still as charming as I remember it. I do not know if it still holds true that sound quality is better near the rear of a theater because of advancements in sound technology. I do know that I didn't have any complaints about the sound from my seat that was five rows from the stage and slightly to the side. I really do wish that the height difference of the flooring between each row was greater as my view of the stage was severely impeded by an average height person's head. Great show. I was very impressed with the diversity of shows they have advertised in their pamphlets. I can see coming here again.
This place is beautiful. It has this grand vibe. Top class service from their friendly staff. Not a bad seat in the house! If I may suggest, Ordway needs another bar to get drinks because depending on the show, their lines can be too long. Also, I wish the seats have cup holders. Overall, a must-see experience! Worth every penny to visit this place.
Open environment, lots of bars, good number of bathrooms, and, above all, great plays! I'll be back for sure.
Wonderful performance center. We like that they put on operas that are cutting edge and different from other venues. Totally worth the trip from the East coast for their performances. Very good talent and scenery. Have seen several performances here and always look forward to coming back.
Always a lovely and beautiful place to come to. Great performances! Went on a school field trip and all of the ushers were great with the kids, we even got tons of compliments from the guest on how well the young kids did.
Beautiful inside, friendly professional staff, impressive schedule of performances. My only complaint is the temperature and airflow is not regulated properly. My girlfriend and I recently attended a much anticipated opera; the performance was wonderful but we left at intermission because it was too uncomfortably warm. It's quite unfortunate because we would like to attend more performances but are reluctant to do so.
I absolutely love the ordway! I've seen many wonderful performances here! The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restrooms are clean.
This is a beautiful venue that has a multitude of different shows--all of them are top notch!
It is a traditional theater with balconies and the exceptional staging!
It is such a great a atmosphere!
The Minnesota productions from this theater tend to be so good that they tour intentionally! And all the music is live!
This is the best venue in Saint Paul, if not Minnesota!
Wonderful venue in a beautiful part of St. Paul. I was in the concert hall in the first row of the balcony (seat 211). Could see everything great, and I would speculate that even the top of the balcony is pretty good. Ordway has a great program for student rush seating for discounted tickets. If you are a college student, you can even get these tickets on line 45 minutes in advance. Great place for SPCO concerts.
Mama Mia! Highly Energetic, Great Dancing, Great Stage Design...Much of the Sound was a Big Disappointment.
The Ordway is beautiful and all the staff is very friendly and helpful. The set design was well done and worked perfectly for this show. The dancing was fantastic and energetic and fun! The costumes were also well done.
But I practically cried because the sound was so bad in the first act. The instrumental music blared over the vocals and I'm wondering if the vocal sound wasn't also turned up to high, because it was hard to understand many of the words, which seemed distorted. Sometimes, I missed two to three out of five words. At one point I had to put my fingers in my ears because the sound was so loud. (We sat in the C section of the Gallery). Is overwhelming sound a new trend in musicals?
It is really hard to describe such an eloquent and magical place such as the Ordway Center. First off if you have never had the pleasure of attending any of there many fantastic programs I would highly recommend it. Perfect place for a date or just a fun night. The acoustics are some of the best I've ever heard and the staff at the Ordway are truly top class. So many great memories here.
We were season ticket holders many years ago and now attend a wider variety of institutions. Nice theater in general. Poorly designed bars that block all of the traffic flow and not enough service to get something at intermission. Was also too warm in the gallery at White Christmas this past weekend. But all in all a great place to see a performance.
Always a first class experience; this was my first time in the concert hall for a non-award show, and it was phenomenal. Great acoustics, comfy seats, enough room for my tall husband's legs, delicious cake for my 8yo, and wine for me! Perfect!
Friendly and attentive staff, overall a very positive experience.
Love it, such a good time and staff is amazing and shows are great!
Amazing place to see an epic Rock Opera, just got out of The Classic Albums Live concert. They did the epic double Pink Floyd album "The Wall" note for note in it's entirety!! Intimate performance with an optimal seating/viewing arrangement not to mention incredible acoustics!!!
Staff are somewhat helpful. I did have to ask for guidance, rather than just being ushered to the right place. It was slightly confusing to have 2 concerts going on at once. The Concert Hall side of the Ordway is beautiful. Bathrooms are not on the main level, but one floor down, which gets way too crowded during the Intermission of a show. There's only one non-gendered single bathroom and it does not lock.
The experience starts on the outside. Enjoy the beautiful lights in Rice park before going in. Very classy building and they provide exceptional customer service. The theater is just stunning, great sight lines and excellent acoustics. We have enjoyed this theater and their performances for years.
Majestic venue with a great seating layout and plenty of leg room.
Saw Fiddler on the Roof last night. The show was good but everyone in our party of 8 said it was difficult to understand the actor’s speaking and singing.
We went to hear the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, and this is a wonderful acoustical space to hear them. It is also visually interesting, and the box seats and loft seats bring the audience right into the experience.
Everyone from the box office to the ushers are cheerful and helpful.
Drinks, coffee, other beverages and treats can be purchased at intermission, and drinks, beverages and coffee (covered) may be brought into the hall during the performance.
(Please be courteous and discreet when sipping.)
Ringo Star & his All Star band entertained a sold out crowd of all ages with awesome live music for 2 hours nonstop on 9/23. Great to see everyone having fun. Darlene Love rocked the packed Ordway last fall (2017). It was another memorable live performance for all ages. Keep up the good work at bringing wholesome live musicians/entertainers to the beautiful Ordway Theater. Thank you.
I like the ordway. I've gone for a number of shows. There isn't really a bad seat in the whole place. The mezzanine and balcony provide good views and are good for any shows where you can get by without seeing every expression on the actor's faces. Sound quality and acoustics are great.
Alice Cooper was a GREAT show! Need more rock shows at the Ordway!
I brought my daughter to see The Illusionist presents Adam Trent not only was the show amazing, the Ordway is beautiful! We sat in the mezzanine section and had a great view. The staff was friendly and very helpful, I can't wait to go back for another show!
The show was great. Ordway is a great place to go to with lots of restaurants to go to and located in beautiful downtown Saint Paul. I would expect better wine and food / snacks selection for such a place. Seating not always great for tall people.
Always love seeing shows here. We saw Spamelot tonight. Great show. They always do a great job. Its always immaculate and the upkeep is great. Will be back later this year for Ever After. Can't wait.
Great show. CV plastic albums live series. Highly recommend
First time in the Ordway for me, and to the opera for that matter. I really enjoyed La bohème. It was a delightful escape. Loved the ambiance of the Ordway--although the lines for refreshments were too long during the short intermissions. The theater staff were very attentive and gracious. I would definitely attend another performance.
The Ordway took their time in designing a great performing arts stage. The entry is open with plenty of space to move, even when it's busy. The seating area is spacious with aisles that also allow for free movement. A GREAT place to see a show or event!
Love the Center itself (It's gorgeous) and the shows they put on. However the seats are INCREDIBLY uncomfortable and are tight together, leaving you with barely any space on the tiny, hard, unpleasant armrests, which you have to awkwardly share with the person next to you.
If they ever renovate and change their seats, I'd be glad to regularly throw my money at them.
My evening here was truly the first times that I became fully aware of the differences between myself and what is considered the "Upper Class".
I was fortunate enough to receive a free ticket via a program that assists Veterans, to attend Rosy Simas' Weave performance which was an interpretive dance event. I have never witnessed a performance such as this, I was wrapped up in attempts of trying to understand what each dancer was attempting to convey with each movement that was timed with the soundscape or a fellow performers movements.
I wish I could say that I understood what I saw able to enjoy the experience like so many others visibly seemed to have. I just could not though and I'm okay with that.
As for the Ordway, it was rather beautiful. The acoustics, seating, ambiance and architecture were on point. I'd love to go there and watch a play or concert.
We had the cheap seats in the mezzanine balcony last week for Romeo and Juliet because my wife wanted to try them. We did from time to time need to strain to see the far end of stage right, but the extra room and more comfortable chairs more than made up for that. =In addition of course to the fabulous production. Not a skilled Opera goer, I enjoy the production value of the staging as much as the music and singing. With that said, it was a wonderful spectacle.
Attended the Maz Jobrani comic show last evening and it was a joy to see Maz and be at the Ordway! The Ordway is a beautiful theater and was staffed extremely well with very helpful, efficient staff; especially in-light of the current Covid restrictions etc! What a great show from Maz Jobrani and his opener Tehran!!! We laughed the entire time and it was good to feel a bit more normal😁
Staff super helpful! (Yay!)
My wife lost her mom at Emmy Lou Harris and the staff literally radioed to help them find each other. Adorable.
Show was good. Drinks weren't cheap. But they never are.
The Ordway is a beautiful theater and Fiddler On The Roof is always terrific.... although I do wish the fiddler was actually on the roof for the performance.
Excellent, classy venue. Always had a nice time and provides a classic theater experience. Classic Albums Live shows in the smaller auditorium have been awesome!
Nice venue especially for music. Lots of ushers to direct you helps for first time patron. Comfortable seats. Lots of parking ramps within walking distance. If the Wild hockey team is playing next door at the Xcel the ramps jack up their rates so find a ramp farther east for a much better price.
Very beautiful theatre in downtown St. Paul. Have been to two shows here in the last couple years and it has always been very easy to find parking, pick up tickets, and get out. Bathrooms are large and make intermissions less stressful and more enjoyable.
It's always a joy to be at The Ordway a centerpiece of architecture in downtown Saint Paul, MN. We were in the performance hall and not the main theater. I think the sound and sight lines are better than the main theater. Very comfortable seating and helpful usher staff throughout The Ordway.
Mama Mia brought down the house this evening at the Ordway in St. Paul! It's a "must see" and goes through August 5th.
The Ordway is a great place to visit in St. Paul. If you like the theater, it's a must!
Beautiful! One of the best places in Minnesota to see a play! The actors and actress's are amazing you can see the stage from all angles! There is no bad set in any of the theaters!
Great show and a good theater space. Seats were decently comfortable, lobby was pleasant, and the ushers were very professional and helpful. Not a whole lot of street parking, but several nearby lots.
I'm only saying this because I'm not fond of classical and opera music. I really hope that the original Ordway Music Theater building will be open to more recording artists from the pop/rock music community.
To begin with, the location in Downtown St. Paul is lovely with the beautiful Rice Park directly across the street. It's just as lovely and beautiful for a walk pre or post show whether it's January or July! If you can't find street parking (it's tough to get that anytime) there are plenty of parking ramps with ample space nearby. The Ordway houses both the MN Opera and the various Broadway shows, some of which are national tours coming through town and some are produced and created right there at The Ordway! The talent of the performers is INCREDIBLE, the folks at the ticket office very helpful, and the facility is clean, modern and has amazing accoustics! Get season tickets and Go often! Best investment you could make💜
I have gone to the Ordway in quite a few times and enjoyed all the performances I saw there. The seeding I think is better than what I experienced at the Orpheum in Minneapolis. The view of the stage I think is good for from any seat in the theater.
Clean, well maintained, and plenty of knowledgeable staff to answer any questions.
Beautiful space. I enjoy the balcony seating when I've been here for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra performances... and I've even played my flute on stage here and I can personally tell you that the acoustics here bring the music alive~ :)
It is always great fun to look forward to a performance at the Ordway! "42nd Street" was magical and entertaining! Everyone involved, worked so hard to put on a great show, filled with lots of fabulous song and dance! The costumes were amazing, along with a great set! It's too bad that the music was often over powering, making it difficult at times, to hear the singing. I sat halfway back, on the right and several individuals commented on the uncomfortable volume level.
Went to see the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. The Beethoven and Iyer pieces were excellent. The ad-lib, improv piece was terrible. Good experience, though. Nice seats right up front and good sound.
It was a joy to experience SPCO again in person. The performance, as always, was outstanding & their commitment to COVID-safe practices was appreciated.
A beautiful venue with great sightlines and sound. Easy access for entry, beverages and the merchandise table's. One of the biggest thing's I noticed was that every staff person I spoke with couldn't have been kinder and more helpful than any other venue I've been to. Excellent!!
We have season passes each year for the opera. It has three different levels, upper are cheaper but farther away, easy to read the words above stage. Midlevel is not bad, easy to read and closer to the stage. Best I believe is the lower, it is split into upper and stage. Upper is best to read, just tilt you eyes and can see the actors. The stage level is best to see the actors, but hard to read, have to tilt head up and miss the action. Come early to have meet and greet with background information about the performance. Warning, get to you seats or inside the doors before the sounds of the trumpets, you will be locked out for a few minutes, one time was eights minutes before the first break. Also, if you leave, make a call, bathroom break, you may not get back in right away.
I love the Ordway! For me this is the home of the MN Opera and all of the magic the opera brings. From the doorman in a top hat greeting you to the people dressed to the nines for the show. Go ahead and wear whatever your finest outfit is. No matter how over the top there will be people more lavishly dressed. Also, for those whisky drinkers the bar is a bit of a deal for scotch at an event which I am pretty into.
Mama Mia was excellent! I wish the Ordway would remodel to make their bathrooms more accessable. They have one family restroom on the ticket level....which means you have to cross the entire theatre, roll down two ramps, cross the lobby and return to the one family restroom near the set of stairs (with no ramp or elevator) that are closest to the accessible seats on the orchestra level.
Classical music soothes the soul. Very comfortable seating. Very helpful ushers. Go early to enjoy a beverage with relaxed space to hang out and enjoy the view of beautiful down town St. Paul.
Great venue with intimate seating and a nice mix of musical genres. I've seen a number of shows at the Ordway. As a working musician myself, I'm very conscious of the sound mix. I've always been impressed with sound at Ordway shows.
Beautiful theater and also a world class music Hall.
Always a good experience and quality performance!
I've seen the Ordways production of The Magic Flute in concert and Rigoletto in the last Dress Rehearsal. Operas are fantastic in both interpretation and execution. Purchasing tickets is easy and cheap even if purchased the day of or in larger groups. Service for food can be variable, but overall amiable. Would definitely recommend for anyone: resident or tourist.
The Twin Cities is so lucky to have such a great space! Well curated performances, and all of the Arts organizations that perform here offer an incredibly high quality of art, theater, and music.
Saw an Alice Cooper concert here. Prior to show open, sitting in velvet seats, thought there was a mismatch between the venue and the superstar we came to hear/see. I was wrong! This was the most comfortable, intimate, elegant rock concert I've ever been to. Like a rock concert for grown-ups! I'd happily go back to the Ordway for more rock concerts!!
Excellent venue with world class productions! Whether on the main stage or in the concert hall, you will find good acoustics and mostly good sightlines. I come to as many shows here as I can!
We saw “Spamalot” here on a Friday. I personally prefer this theater to the Orpheum by a long shot. The seats have adequate leg room and the lobby is not as crowded during intermission. The actuall Theater is very beautiful and the ushers were all friendly and helpful.
Beautiful venue to see a Broadway musical. The Ushers here are very friendly and helpful. Great location in downtown St. Paul. Buying tickets online is easy. Great Place!
Gorgeous theater experience, but gender neutral bathroom was locked so I had to pick one that was super uncomfortable.
I sat in the Blog section seat 17 which is centered to the stage. I loved my view. I could see both dancers and chamber orchestra. I had minimized movement to my head with no blind spots, enough leg room, and comfortable seats.
Only con, due to distance from the stage I could't see so much facial expressions by the performers.
The sound system was remarkable and lighting perfect for view.
I enjoyed Shen Yun presentation, from their costume, fluid movements, use of probes and I could relate to their themes emphasized; Love, Religion and Politics and versatile culture pre-communism.
I would have loved to at least capture one shot during performance but photography was forbidden, which I respect, lights from camera and phones can be distracting.
The atmosphere in general and set-up is great. Refreshments were rather on the pricey end, seems to be a common trend in most shows I attend. Plan ahead of time or look-up what activities are taking place in St.paul. Parking was rather challenging on this day.
An excellent venue for about any show. I've seen opera, musicals, solo performers, and even progressive metal shows here. Sight lines are awesome, staff is friendly. Parking is available at multiple ramps nearby.
An outstanding live performance theater in downtown St. Paul. Everything from Broadway musicals to rock concerts. Love the space and the acoustics here. I never hesitate to buy tickets for events here.
Second review over the last one I had few months ago. We saw Don pasquale. I do like this place and the opera performances is awesome. No incident this time.
Although I really like ordway center for their wonderful performing art events, however, my wife and I had a very bad experience dealing with a drunk and loud person sitting next to us. I had to ask one of the lady employee to do something about it. The lady talk to the loud person to keep it quiet. He continued being annoyance and laughing loud and making stupid comments. I felt sorry for the employees who couldn't deal with him. I haven't given up on the ordway yet and hoping next time we will have a pleasant experience.
The staff are very professional and the main concert hall has amazing acoustics. I came here for Make It MSP's annual meeting to learn about the noteworthy successes of the economic co-operation.
Saw a dream theater concert there last weekend and couldn't be more impressed with the venue and venue staff. Incredible experience. Please go there to enjoy a show. Also good acoustics.
Went to see La Traviata today. I haven't been to the Ordway in quite some time. I sat in the cheapest section as it was pretty much all that was available last min. I was pleased with the view and quality of the sound from so high up.
Best place ever for a rock concert! Bravo to Alice Cooper! They must have enjoyed playing there, as much as we enjoyed watching and hearing them perform!
Great views and sound. Very classy joint!
I went to see a Queen cover band concert. They were a great show. Loved it so much we purchased two more concerts. Fleetwood Mac and the Beetles
Good venue?
SPCO - Bach's Double Violin Concerto:
Great experience if you have any level of care or love for classical music. Hearing a professional who has dedicated themselves fully to the craft like those in our Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is a gift and event worth making space for in your life. Seize any opportunity to go, you won't regret it.
The Ordway is a magical place. The staff is really friendly and make you feel like a VIP.
The only downside is the seat size. They are fine for most people, but for us overweight people, it's snug.
Great staff, great facility. Not a bad seat in the house. Amazing sound. First rate experience. Opera openers are super glamorous with everyone dressed to the nine's! Treat yourself.
The October 28 performance of Ringo start and his all Starr band was a blast! The venue is plush, beautiful, extravagant. Perfect for an iconic, lasting icon, Ringo, from one of the major rock groups of all time!!!!
Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful theater with great acoustics in central location in downtown St.Paul. The seats were quite comfortable in a well designed setting.
Absolutely gorgeous theatre in upscale St. Paul. Full bar and tappas in the lobby. Business/formal dress code. Great sight lines from every seat.
We love the SPCO, and their new concert hall fits them perfectly! Excellent musicians playing a good variety of pieces, with frequent guest artists from around the world.
Great venue that gets really good performances. The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is a top class group of musicians without the hugeness of a full orchestra.
The world is my Stage and community leaders who have heard me encourage you to be alive and well as Master class of all sorts including those orchestra players as well as those singing and those in silence.
Each of us need each other's company in large part because then we SEE we are all making the new history of tomorrow morning with our music and fellow man by our side . We are not alone!
Not a bad seat in the house. No matter what you go to see you will enjoy the experience. Located downtown so parking can be pain for the newbie. Light rail walk is about 7 blocks.
Wonderful venue, very comfortable.
The best theater in the twin cities.
I wish more shows that are playing at the outdated Orpheum and State would play here.
I went to an opera which was beautifully staged and excellently executed. They put the English words on a screen above the stage so we could understand what was actually being sung. It is typical of the experiences that I have had in the past at the Ordway for operas.
Ordered tickets online for my mom and I. The theater map on the website indicated that the Orchestra seats would be one behind the other in a box on stage left. The seats were not labeled as obstructed on my tickets or anywhere during the purchasing experience.
My mom couldn't make it to the performance, which I'm not very happy about because the seats were terrible. I feel ripped off.
My boyfriend came with me, so he took the seat next to a wall obstructing 50% of the stage from our seats. There were 3 seats next to us and 4 more in front of us in the little box area. Not at all what was portrayed on the map.
During the performance my boyfriend would have to move his head in front of mine so that he could see what was happening. I tried not to move my head so that I wasn't blocking the view of the lady next to me. What a mess!
So, a WARNING: don't buy Orchestra box tickets!
Very nice venue. The only problem was the seats in the upper balcony are short. I'm 6' 6" and the back of my legs did not touch the seat when I sat down.
The seating! The Classic balcony views! The sound! The lighting! Oh how I missed this venue! DEFINITELY will be looking for more opportunities to visit!
Next! Is the black violinists
I have been lucky to have been there for multiple activities and performances and I am always, ALWAYS impressed and inspired. It is an uplifting experience from beginning to end .The theater and the people that collaborate and work in this institution are amazing.
Wednesday 30th of May 2018.Ordway Center, what a great performance of Moon Mouse! All of the children there enjoyed the story, as I did too. My son & I would love to see it again.
Went and seen Annie. They did a outstanding job. There isn't really a bad seat in the house. We were in top row of balcony and enjoyed every moment.
Acoustically pleasant theatre. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that they had several employees doing nothing while 1 did will call. The line got super backed up and eventually more employees were added to help with will call.
Had a fantastic experience watching the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Beautiful music theater on St Paul. We attended Smokey Joe's Cafe. This was a great production that used local talent. It was very enjoyable.
We went to Wizard of Oz and the show and theatre were both amazing. Ushers were very friendly and helpful. Can't wait for the 14-15 Season announcement tonight!
Love seeing shows at the Ordway! It's a great venue. Six was an excellent show and one of the best I have seen there in the past 7 years.
Great venue for a show!
I have been whistling Carmen since! Such a great show!
I go to the Ordway regularly for dances, concerts and the children's series. The performance are always wonderful and my grand daughter loves the children shows, which have hands-on activities to enjoy before the show.
1-15-19 was my 2nd time to the ordway in st paul this was for randy bachman and this show was in the smaller concert hall...i did not know they had multiple stages..awesome..the 1st time there was for alice cooper on the larger stage
the venue is very nice and the staff is friendly
hope they plan more "rock" shows
Excellent orchestra, excellent auditorium, excellent venue, excellent ushers. Not more can be said. They also have 3 bars. I didn’t look into them, I just knew they were there.
Saw Kinky Boots! Seats wear awesome. Talent amazing. Easy to get drinks during intermission. Love this theater!
A beautiful venue for musical theater, dance, opera and orchesta concerts. The newly renovated concert hall has superb acoustics. The nearby parking options are abundant and affordable.
Great place for theatre, ...and they're bringing some unique twists and popular shows. It feels more classy and clean than the Orpheum. (I love the Orpheum too)
The Shen Yun performance I saw here was wonderful. The hall was beautiful and the seating was not too cramped. There is room to walk in the aisle when someone is seated.
Outstanding! So happy to have such a pinnacle of arts and culture in St. Paul. They offer a rich variety of performances for all audiences including free events for kids.
Beautiful building. The MN Opera is an underrated treasure in the rain cities. Tempo makes it really easy to get great deals for shows
A fairytale vision in the winter when Rice Parks lighting fills the windows of the Ordway lobby.
Beautiful theater. Great show. Helpful staff
Classy performance site hosting the absolutely gorgeous voices of the Minnesota Opera.
Smokey Joe Cafe was astounding, breath taking. I truly enjoyed the performance and music took me back to when I was a young child, it was music my parents listen to which I gained an appreciation for...Superb!
Great venue - large enough for touring shows but feels cozy
Super nice place. Really enjoyed the show. Staff was extremely friendly. Only complaint is I'm disabled and it wasn't real user friendly. Parking is a huge issue. Nothing close.
It's a great place for a musical, but they seriously need to have more bartenders or another bar to get drinks and water at intermission. I barely made it through the line and all I wanted was a bottle of water.
My first time there with a group and it's just magical. Dazzling lights, amazing ushers, wonderful show and my heart has been stolen by the performing arts!
Met fabulous new friends and...
Seeing Ringo (I've always been a BeatleManiac!!) And his All Starr Band...could Not have been better!!
Truly, it was the best!!
Ive been there a few times. Went there to see Elf. Honestly it was magical. I wished I could have come back to see FALSETTOS! I didn't have the time, unfortunately. I miss that place! Hope to go again.
We LOVED it. Great show and amazing choreography. I would definitely go again. One of my favorite musicals
Very nice. The staff are very professional and friendly. The decor and seats are a little dated, but in good shape. Viewing is decent from just about anywhere.
There is no such thing as bad seating at the Ordway. Bonus: if you have an opportunity to see singer Kathleen Johnson perform, do it. I PROMISE you will love it
Just saw 42nd Street - HOLY COW!! Better than Broadway. Beautiful show and production. The quality of the design and tech aspects of the show blew me away.
The place is so beautiful, and quite fancy! They put on wonderful shows and concerts, and it's sure to entertain you.
The Concert Hall has fantastic acoustics and feels very intimate when the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is performing. Check out the SPCO membership - it's a great deal for music fans.
Ok - view blocked by rail of another row. Very small seats. Many better seats than ours were empty and we were told they were the best of what was left.
Opera, musicals, internationally known musicians, other assorted acts and a concert hall for our very own Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Extraordinary!
The Ordway is absolutely great, very spacious, comfortable, and we'll laid out. Also, the accustics are so good you can hear every note in a concert.
My wife and I saw West Side Story recently and I was reminded of how much I love the Ordway. I've never had a bad seat and I've sat all over. This place is a gem and I recommend going.
Great for SPCO chamber performance in one hall and perfect for MN Opera in the large hall. Music fans in St Paul are so lucky.
Fantastic live performance venue...beautiful open public areas overlooking Rice Park...good seating & acoustics in the theaters...great variety of performance offerings...home to The St. Paul Chamber Orchestra,Minnesota Opera & more...assortment of parking lots & eating options nearby...fantastic decorations at the Holidays with photo op sets...been a patron since it opened in the mid-'80's.
Beautiful venue, excellent sound
The staff here always make you feel extra special no matter what show you are seeing. Such a beautiful stage. Look forward to every visit.
Perfect venue for a concert or show. The sight lines are great, and acoustics are wonderful. Ushers were very helpful with directions.
Beautiful venue! Make sure to take advantage of the student and educator discount - great ticket prices and opens the door to seeing many more shows!
Not really. Sound was too loud and seating very uncomfortable. No place to safely set your expensive drink. I spilled one while trying to settle in and had to purchase another. Not impressed.....
Nice place but they allow smoking by front door and by end of show the entire lobby up to 2nd floor smells. Assistant by front door made excuses. Show was awesome, Shen Yun.
Beautiful theater. Very enjoyable evening. Wanted a snack at intermission but couldn't find anything but drinks. Looking forward to going again sometime.
Saw "In the Heights" here and really enjoyed it. Our seats were in the lower level on the side, but the vantage point was still great and we had great sight lines.
I have seen several musicals here throught out the years (over 20 years to be exact) and loved the experience! Latest musical was Six and it was amazing!
That was an amazing Concert! Kudos to the ensemble, because it was also hard work! I love the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra!
Excellent performance of Waitress. I've seen many at the Ordway and this was the best.
Beautiful place and wonderful time. Great for a date and I got a good price on last second tickets. By the way, I would watch stomp If I were you.
This place is Amazing. Someone was Always there to help us with our seating for Daniel Tiger...Thanks for making us feel Welcomed and We had a lot of fun
Hope to come back again 💜💜💜 …
Ordway is awesome. Great sound and views. Friendly staff who seem pumped to be there. So cozy and warm and dark. I almost fall asleep every time.
Great place to take in a dance performance. Only complaint is hard seats and how annoyingly often ushers let in stragglers during the performance. Will be back!
Kinky Boots was great! Very entertaining. The Ordway has beautiful spaces, in the theater and the hallway & gathering areas.
Mamma Mia was a wonderful production. I was happily surprised to learn that the majority of the cast was home grown talent. Took me back many years.
At the top balcony, closest to the stage, the view is awkward, obstructed, and uncomfortable unless everyone is able to pile up in the corner nearest the stage. The show itself however, was fantastic!!
Amazing venue had a very nice experience! The event we went to was great! All staff were very friendly and very helpful!
Broadway in Minnesota! Awesome
SIX was amazing! Only issue was we were interupted during the performance to seat someone that was late... Not good theater etiquette.
A great place to see opera and easy parking around the corner
Beauty and the Beast was PHENOMENAL!!!
I went with my daughter on a field trip here. The performance was fantastic! The venue is very interesting and warm!
Both ample men's AND women's restrooms for intermission. Parking can be a challenge on nights when the MN Wild are playing at the nearby Xcel Energy center. If this is the case, plan on spending some extra time searching for parking.
Great venue. The theater gets pretty warm so dress accordingly. $10 parking around the corner on Kellogg.
Unlike Broadway Across America, which couldn't care less about who you are, the Ordway goes above and beyond to take care of its customers. I'll admit that, at 40, I'm very much in the"young" part of the crowd, but I have been a happy Ordway subscriber for over 10 years.
I love this venue. It's located in an awesome location near a ton of great restaurants, is gorgeous inside, and everyone is super friendly.
The renovations to the center are very nice. It is spacious, modern and yet feels cozy. The location also puts it very near to many restaurants and other attractions.
Top notch theater space, very elegant and a wonderful venue. I've been here many times, always nice to come back
Black Violin put on a fantastic show.
Awesome show! All 5 performers were fantastic and wonderful piano music!
Went to see White Christmas here and I loved the atmosphere. It really is a place to see the performing arts and in a great location in downtown St. Paul!
Went Smoky Joe's Cafe. It was a lot of fun with excellent group of singers. Very well done! 5-stars!
Great venue for an opera. Parking can be found in a ramp nearby for $10 if there are no hockey games going on.
Fabulous venue with great staff who greet you warmly as you arrive, then help direct you to your seats, refreshments or whatever you need. Not a bad seat in the house!
The Ordway is always a 5-star. If you don't like the show or the concert, the building alone is enough to give it five stars. Of course, most of the shows are 5-stars performances, including the SPCO concerts.
First time here and saw a play. The music was clear and had good sound, drinks are served, large restrooms, liked the seating.
The most amazing concert... North American debut of Daniil Trifornov. Best pianist of the decade. Grammy winner.
Jesus Christ Superstar was fantastic! Enjoyed the music, singing, performance, energy, and atmosphere. We had a great time!
Wonderful performance. We were in third row which seemed a bit close but worked out well.
Very friendly, helpful ushers.
I loved my experience at the Ordway Center last night. I was there to see the Brian McKnight concert and my guest and I had an awesome time.
Beautiful venue!! We saw our first Opera here and the show was wonderful.
We saw the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra here. Amazing venue with tremendous music. They also have affordable tickets.
Great venue where I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. We saw 42nd Street and enjoyed the show.
The new concert hall is outstanding. Sat in the back row of the upper balcony and sound was exceptional.
Saw a wonderful talk by including Diana Hagagg. I was very impressed by the discourse and discussion. Sadly, the event ended as we started to really dig into the issues.
Waitress was an awesome show! Ordway was a beautiful venue
The venue is a beautiful building. The opera was fantastic. Previous concerts have sounded amazing.
Seats are great for viewing no matter where you sit. The music was great. And the performance I saw was amazing.
Love the Ordway everytime I go! Tammy is amazing there! Got to meet John Cusack!!! Lifelong fan of his.
Great venue for "Kinky Boots". Like all theatres, not enough bathrooms for women, but it's easy to get to and parking is convenient.
Saw a great show. Use the option to pre buy your intermission drink and it will be there waiting for you with no line.
The show was AMAZING and the staff was incredible to help make sure that everyone in our group had an awesome time!
I love this theater. Last night's musical performance was outstanding. Bringing a friend to the next show.
Oboist François Leleux was spectacular performing Franz Joseph Haydn's
Oboe Concerto with the SPCO. Hopefully he will return soon as an artistic partner!
great experience seeing how NPR’s how I built this. Even 3rd tier seating was very accommodating and unobstructed view
Always a lovely venue. However traffic before and after the show is a mess. Plan for extra time for drop off and pick up
Recently seen Alice Cooper here, Great staff , Sound was great, comfortably loud. Not a bad seat in the house.
Beautiful hall with friendly staff. Seats and view were great. Opera was very well done.
This place really has an appreciation ans respect for housing fine art. It should be a regular habit for people to go out and see a show here.
Been coming here with family almost every year (e.g. Sound of Music, White Christmas, etc.. ) during the Christmas holidays as a gift to "elderly" parents. They love it!
It was a really fabulous show. The energy and the dancing and music was fantastic. We absolutely loved it
Great theater environment. Enjoyed a great performance of 42nd Street. First time attending a performance and will be back.
Great venue to see theatrical performances and the downtown park across from the Ordway makes for a beautiful view.
Great stage for an amazing concert (Air Suuply)
Seats too Close together(no leg room) could not hear clearly(acoustics bad? My ears bad??) Maybe your experience will B better..
I attended the Marriage of Figaro and was very impressed with both talent and acoustics! It was a beautiful experience.
Magnificent. Great staff and beautiful theater. I've been there 15 times for Opera's and it's the same great experience every time
Wonderful venue and wonderful artists. The Saint Paul chamber orchestra is a gem of this city.
Historic concert venue. Airy and lush, gorgeous views. A bit drafty though. Restrooms show their age.
Saw an excellent performance from Black Violin!
Shen Yun was a great experience! It was colorful, and very detailed. If its different each year I will be going in 2021❤
Nachito Herrera was awesome!!!!
I have seen a number of performances here and always enjoy it. Classy venue for classy people!
Always enjoy going here. I was in the first row of the first balcony which were excellent seats!!
Have seen several musicals here and have never been disappointed. It's a great theater!
Wonderful performance of Don Pasquale
Such a beautiful theater. Downtown St Paul is alsomuch easier to navigate and park than downtown Minneapolis
A lovely experience for music. My favorite is the St Paul Chamber Orchestra. Not a bad seat in the house!
We saw 42nd Street and it was AMAZING! So well put together. The cast is all EXTREMELY talented!
A beautiful space with a great acoustic and the staff are fabulous. Always a treat to go, either to listen or to perform.
Beautiful theater. Starting to host more cultural performances. I enjoy this experience always.
Great show. I think my Lily was the first drag queen to ever perform there
Great place for a concert. The acoustics are amazing! The staff is so helpful.
The space here for the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra is fantastic and they always put on an amazing show!
I love their Broadway series. Staff is very friendly here always making you feel welcomed.
Wonderful music and theater venue. Great acoustics and the fabulous, innovative SPCO calls the Ordway home.
Wonderful place to enjoy a show. Staff very helpful and stage production well done.
Lost my wallet at an event with over $100 in it. Called about my wallet and my money was still there with everything else. Other than that events are great.
Wonderful venue, parking on street or ramp if you're early enough.
Very clean, classy and comfortable.
Saw Annie, was amazing , but after the intermission the CEO appeared on the screen to talk about orphans, boy, that was a big downer.
I've been to better Productions at the Ordway, but the Ordway only has so much control over that. Every other show I've been to has been amazing.
Here for the last SPCO of this season in the concert hall. Beautiful sound and very comfortable seats.
This place makes the best paninis this side of Europe. Oh, if only this were a chain and had locations all over. I love this place.
I saw Shen Yun and it was amazing! The show was great and the venue was beautiful. Lots of nearby parking.
"Mamma Mia!" ... ABBAsolutely high-energy fantastical singing, dancing, entertaining for a feel-good about life extravaganzoid evening!
Beautiful space. Box seats are pretty decent. Cool to see a doorman for the opera nights.
Love the performance of Shen Yue! A great time to dress up and have a night out on the town.
Smokey Joes Cafe....What an awesome show, cast was amazing! Best show ever! Want to see it again!
Concert hall and staff were wonderful.
I went to a performance created for elementary school kids. Very organized. Top notch interactive show.
Rigoletto was terrific. I know nothing of opera, but I enjoyed it! Ordway services were on the mark.
It's a very nice place for all ages. Especially kids, They sometimes go for field trips here so be aware of that.
Great venue to see orchestras. I don’t think there is a bad seat.
Love this place. Just saw Joshua Bell perform. Dinner afterwards at the St. Paul Hotel.
Seats on main floor are not made for tall people at all! Performance and staff was amazing though!
Beautiful facility, friendly staff, great sight lines and convenient parking - in St. Paul, this is all hard to come by!
My knees have a little trouble with the seats here due to the angle (which makes me sound super old, but really I'm not) but shows are great!
Excellent experience. A bit pricey but def take your significant other here if they are even remotely interested.
Absolutely wonderful venue and what a great staff. Love the doorman!
Great up to date venue for the MSP area. I really like the local restaurants too.
The black violin performance was outstanding!
Great almosphere and very nice theatre. The staff really knows how to run the pace.
Great place to see a show. Seats are comfortable. Space is elegant
Great venue for theater and opera with a beautiful setting in the heart of St Paul.
Saw Napoleon Dynamite followed by a conversation with Napoleon, Pedro, and Uncle Rico. A fun evening for all!
Amazing theater with a phenomenal performance of 42nd Street! I can't wait to come back!
Beautiful place, host MN opera, has discounts for kids n students(sometimes free)

Beautiful venue with great acoustics. Not a bad seat in the house.
The play Annie was amazing! The theater itself is beautiful and the the staff is awesome.
Fun show and friendly staff.
Beautiful venue. Love this place for performances and special events.
Excellent venue, needs an update. On the other hand ticket prices are reasonable in comparison with others.
Really great seats, even up in the balcony. Jane Fonda was wonderful.
Amazing tap dancers and singers!
Concert halls do not get any better than this. Beauty, sound, comfort and classiness!
I love this place we went there for a concert it was small yet big enough to attract a major band
The Fix - Compelling plot well sung and acted. Great staging. Fine theatre.
Wonderful venue for a play or concert. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Beautiful facility.
Great venue with excellent acoustics and some very enjoyable shows.
Totally felt out of my element but everybody was nice and the experience was cool. A+
Outstanding venue to watch theater productions, whether it be off Broadway or Ordway productions.
Saw STOMP there, it was an excellent show. Seating was good with friendly and helpful staff.
