Beautiful auditorium for my daughter's graduation ceremony. We had a WONDERFUL view behind the graduates. They do run a tight ship because you are prevented from taking 📸 in the aisles, only from your seat. I do ❤️ ❤️ that they acknowledged the fact that I was wearing a boot due to a broken toe and they allowed me to enter and sit down because the line was outrageously long. Ceremony was short and efficient.

Came for the Idan Rachel concert. It was magnificent. The venue has great acoustics, the seating is comfortable, and the two story viewing floor adds to the luxurious astethics. The bellhops were polite and did a good job with seating and security. Parking was easy, you can make an online account and pay when you arrive or pay at the 5 level parking garage. It is about 1/4 mile walk from the garage to Royce hall.

Having been in both the audience and performing sides of the house, this is one of my favorite venues for musical events. Stadium seating, dynamic lighting, and a great potential for good sound. Glad to have had a chance to visit!

UCLA has a beautiful campus, and Royce Hall is a perfect venue for the performing arts. The outdoor space is unique for this location. Parking is a little tricky depending on your event, but finding your way to the hall is generally straightforward.

A great medium sized theater on the UCLA campus. We were there for a concert and everything from parking, to the shuttles from the parking structure, to the beautiful theater itself were all great. The acoustics were decent and the seats were super comfortable. I look forward to visiting again.

Contemporary performance hall with unobstructed views and comfortable seating. Park in UCLA Lot 4 and climb the Janss Steps to reach the entrance, or drop off at the flag pole for a short, flat walk. Four aisles lead into the hall for convenient access. Loge seating is also available. Lighting is subdued.

Royce Hall is a beautiful Building inside and out. The university keeps it in wonderful condition. It's easy to hear who is on stage. I always choose to sit on the ground floor as close to the stage as possible. The seats are well cushioned and large enough to accommodate an average person.

Dear Sirs and Madams, This is to alert you that two individuals, named Rajiv and Vineetha Thomas, may disrupt the graduation ceremony at UCLA on Monday, 6/13. They followed me to the UCLA campus yesterday afternoon, as they have been for the past year all over Los Angeles, including buses and Ubers, over what I am told (by an employee of a company I interned at last quarter) is a public emergency communication technology. (Since then, I've heard the stalkers access it outside LA, most recently an Indian call center location that is mailing me a new multi currency travel card). Their style is to engage the general public in conversation, usually to disparage Indians or me directly, or provide non-stop commentary on the live action on the ground or to mess with my energy by making up a story about the live action that they believe will affect me since I am "open, not closed" and delivering it with the supreme confidence one acquires after obtaining a citizenship/spouse/house/car/kids/job in a foreign land. I am not associated with them (or with any others who follow them, relatives of my dead father, ostensibly to get them to leave). I want to graduate with my colleagues on Monday, June 13, 2022, as is tradition. Since Rajiv Thomas did not respect the Academy Museum on 05/22 to keep quiet during a film screening, and the group did speak at UCLA Store yesterday, I do believe they are looking to disrupt the graduation ceremony as a matter of inexplicable and self manufactured ill-will towards me for letting them know about the Delta wave in India last May that killed my father. They will not respect UCLA enough to not make a public nuisance of themselves. I am writing to you because I do not want the ceremony to be ruined for anyone and I do not want to be blamed for their disruptions, as I was yesterday morning at a nail salon, with microaggressions by disgruntled people in geographic proximity to me. Gorgeous theater on an absolutely beautiful campus. Great sound and small enough where all the seats are decent. The only major ding... why sell alcohol but not tell us that we can’t bring alcohol into the theater!?! So it forces you to chug as soon as you buy the drinks. What a weird set up...

I have been there many times for concerts, events ets.. the building is historic and beautiful (specially at night with a good moonlight). The only negative that comes to mind is the fact that it is not very accessible and distance between parking and building is considerable. The inside is pretty standard and nothing very stands out but I like its classic soul

Saw John McLaughlin's last show here and it was absolutely epic. This venue is pretty incredible, the main theater area is majestic, and very aesthetically pleasing. Acoustics were great, we sat in the upper balcony area and had a superb view too. Definitely coming back to this venue for shows in the future.

Royce Hall is stunningly beautiful as is the library across the courtyard. The Acoustics were mind-bogglingly good. It has a wonderful feeling and environment once you step through the doors, and it is a place I feel tremendously comfortable and at home in. Awesome Venue with family history. Saw a great jazz concert here. My partner is a alumni and hadn't been in the building since she was a freshman. We were staying in the area that night and she offered a tour of the campus and memory lane. We spent most of the next day on the campus.

Interesting architecture, definitely feels old school. Not particularly ornate as the Pantages theatre in Hollywood, still has an amazing feel of authenticity. The Los Angeles Ballet performance of The Nutcracker in December was delightful. From the balcony, we could see the entire stage come to life. My kids enjoyed the ballet, especially my 10 year old daughter. The audio was good, with ample sound for a classical performance. We will visit again for a concert. Parking was about a mile walk, but we enjoyed walking through the historic UCLA campus.

The exterior is gorgeous but the building is desperately in need of renovation or at least an update. The bathrooms are in the basement while the classrooms are on the first floor. When everyone is let out, the women's room is packed and lead to long lines. The exterior of the building is exquisite and the grounds are beautiful.

We saw the youth symphony perform here...for free! Let me start off by saying that it is great that they periodically offer things like this for free! We took my daughter and she really liked it. The hall was clean and it was neat that we got to sit up on the balcony.

Here for a Joan Baez concert. Of course Joan was wonderful, but the venue added so much to the experience. Beautiful interior, good acoustics, and very helpful ushers. I was especially impressed by the free shuttle from the parking structure.

We went to go see the Nutcracker. This was our Christmas present to each other! It was beautiful. The ballet dancers were phenomenal, the theater was cozy, but the seating was a little tight. The Ballet rocks!!!

Royce Hall is the landmark icon of UCLA and rightly so. It's beautiful and grand and is a symbol of academic achievement at one of the best institutions in the nation. Utilitarian wise, I have been to several Cultural nights in the historic auditorium and it is the perfect place to host those.

I saw the Los Angeles ballet perform Swan Lake here. I've seen a lot of great performers at Royce Hall through the years but it didn't work for the ballet that night. The stage was too small and the ballerinas to crammed. Add to that the fact there was no Orchestra but only pre-recorded music and you really should spend a little bit more money to see a Russian ballet in a larger setting. I would have thought it to be okay and worth the money if they had a real Orchestra given they would still look cramped on stage. Unless your idea of a ballet takes place inside of bus bumping around with people the next time they tour like I said spend a little more money and go see the Bolshoi or Kirov.

If you're a UCLA student, seeing Royce Hall in its beauty makes you proud to be a Bruin. If you're not a UCLA student, it makes you want to be a Bruin. The auditorium inside is impressively large. The classrooms are relatively new and clean as well. Definitely a highlight of UCLA's campus.

Hall is great, beautiful inside and quite comfortable. But parking is so convoluted. When paying at kiosk you must enter your license plate number. But this is not posted anywhere so you only realize it after you have parked and walked to kiosk. Also you can only pay cash, exact amount at the kiosk. UCLA hosts so many events its time to modernize their parking system.

We were there to celebrate 🎉 the independence day! The place is huge and the parking was miles away. The parking attendant told us to get the shuttle but we couldn't find the park so we walked. Ouch with my high heels 👠 lol The common restrooms were all locked and people were desperately looking for a restroom on two different floors. I was sad to see a person using a walking stick climbing stairs and find the restroom closed 😢 finally we snuck to the backstage and used one phew lol. After the show was over we had to walk back (I almost crawled lol) to the parking structure, thumbs down 😎

Along with Powell Library and Janss steps, Royce is one of the most iconic places on the campus, and has an absolutely stunning auditorium for events and the like. Royce also has some of the nicer lecture halls and classrooms on campus along with Haines and the rest of the humanities area.
