Reviews of Geffen Playhouse
Shanelle S
Playhouse with 2 different stages inside. Came here on a Sunday at 7pm to see Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf and had a fantastic experience. There’s paid lot parking ($20 at the Ralph’s) or you can try finding street parking (free after 8pm). Masks were required and enforced regardless of vaccination status. The restrooms were in the back far right, and there were two water fountains. During intermission, note that the entire restroom will blackout during the 5 minute and 2 minute warning. There’s a small outdoor patio for people to enjoy their drinks.
Inside, the seats were comfier than I was expecting. The theater was intimate and the view from Row N was still very close to the stage.
Lorenzo Warfel
This an amazing venue to watch a show or play! I just saw the riveting Power of Sail featuring Bryan Cranston and it was absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere of the theater made the play come to life and the lighting and set designs were top-notch! This venue has a bar, clean restrooms and a courtyard where you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer with a light snack. The staff here are very professional, well-mannered and friendly! You must visit this theater and enjoy everything it has to offer, I’ll be coming back soon!

We saw the play The Inheritance and had an absolutely lovely time.
The theater is charming, comfortable and the staff were super friendly and helpful.
The concession area is very good, and the outdoor patio area is a lovely place to mingle with other guests.
The play was incredible, with lessons that transcend generations, orientation and heritage.
A touching storytelling of the human experience.
Christina MacGregor
We saw "Power of Sail" at the 3 pm matinee showing today, and had the best time. The play brought up a lot of interesting points with freedom of speech, and caused a lot of long conversations. Hopefully people can go and watch it while it is still there.

Went to see the Inheritance and enjoyed it. I really liked the actings though I think the story didn’t have enough twists and turns. Would have been more fun and more enjoyable. The theater was great. Any seats are good to see the stage. Don’t spend too much money to buy good seats.
Joel Dale
I love this place. Great theater with a mix of standard and experimental plays. They have a very decent parking solution for those driving in as well by having a relationship with the Trader Joe's just behind the theater
Elizabeth Wong
Great play two- part play (The Inheritance) high-caliber acting direction design...it's continental seating so if you probably will have to cross a lot of legs to get to seat.. i chose a seat on an aisle...theres a balcony too...and a bar...artwork to look at, a small lovely romantic patio festooned with tealights and a gurgling fountain. Parking in the Westhood lot for 5 bucks flat rate but it closes at 11:30 pm...there's another lot nearby for 8 bucks that is open after hours. Great place to see theatre.
James Gautereaux
What to say after many years of actually working in this business television rock and roll live entertainment it's nice to come to places with a feeling of being actually with the cast doing whatever entertainment they are doing for Their audience and it's a great environment and so much to do in the area everybody have a great 2023 and grow Go Solar and get control of contracts and contractors for your do-it-yourself products through any home Improvement contractor

More than a neighborhood playhouse, but not a major theater, the Geffen helps to fill that important niche for LA theater goers. Running a wide variety of shows, some that include live music, two theaters in the complex (one small) provide comfortable seating with an unobstructed view. There is a small bar that serves alcohol. In this time of Covid, the Geffen goes to great lengths to screen their patrons for immunization status with masks required in the theater. We've seen some great shows with outstanding actors and some not-so-great. That's pretty much the norm for most theaters.
Judi Glova
Lovely theater and the live performance of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf with Calista Flockhart was so good. I was able to get street parking really easily too. Definitely going back for more.
Glenn Martin
Great place for up close experience in live theater. Actors often mingle in the lobby afterwards.
ComedyX MundialXx

Talia Shandler
I don't want to post because I feel like this is my hidden gem. But I have to share what a magical theater this is. Great shows, amazing atmosphere and great bartenders!!!! Thank you all!!!
Michael Pennington
20+ years of Season Tickets. Great venue. Another great performance on July 24, 2022. Already have my season tickets for the next year.
Randy Clark
Please “recommend” masking. Forced masking with mask police is over. I will not attend til then.
Other thank that, what an awesome venue, we love love it.
Connor Amacio Matthews
Love doing Lights Out Nat King Cole there. Crew and cast were amazing to me. Loved playing Young Nat and Young Billy Preston. There's not a bad seat in the house. Rush tickets available.
Jeremiah
We saw Lights Out: Nat "King" Cole, it was AMAZING!!! Loved every minute of it. It's fantastic, it's funny, and it has a very strong message, really good!!
Sam Laine
Wonderful theatre to see a show. It had some of the most comfortable seats of any playhouse I had been to a live show in across the country. The courtyard earlier was a wonderful play to have a couple of glasses of champagne while waiting for the doors to open.
Dani Harrold
Since I attended UCLA in the Summers of the 70s I was introduced to the Geffen Theater in Westwood. I am so delighted I remain on their updated email list.
Over the years the Geffen has produced a wonderful lineup of plays ( similar to the Playwrights Horizon in NYC) . They highlight new playwrights as well as renown , many straight from Broadway. ( or about to open there).
I find they are on the pulse of theater
and the variety is top drawer.
Located in the heart of Westwood , Geffen is easily accessible and tickets are affordable. No need to fight downtown traffic to see theater in LA.
I advise you all to get on their mailing list so you won’t miss out on their upcoming Seasons.
Take my word they will deliver on the edge of your seat live entertainment!
Nance Yuan
Love the Geffen! Beautiful but intimate theater with fantastic, high-quality productions. It's also very affordable. I used to occasionally get rush tickets but this year I purchased a season ticket and was surprised at how affordable the plays ended up being. I love being up close and personal with great seats, seeing excellent plays. The playhouse is lovely and also in a fun area.
Shey Lyn Zanotti
I've qlways enjoyed performances at the Geffen. This was my first time back since COVID. They have a great set up, requiring vaccine checks and masks on the way in, plus the patio is great if you need a little fresh air at intermission. I had a friend in the show and the house staff was so hospitable and organized while we waited to greet her.
Miguel Chion
Came to see Who is afraid of Virginia Wolf. They were well organized with patrons. Provided individual orientation of the rules (vaccinated and always wearing masks). You can order your drinks and food in advance. Staff were helpful. Playhouse seats are all great. Great experience.
Bradley Pierce
A really beautiful venue with an amazing history (that most of the staff is aware of and willing to share) The Geffen playhouse actually houses two theatres. A large one, I’d guess seats about 500 and a smaller one with a capacity of around 100, both offer great opportunities for intimate theatrical experiences, of which I’ve enjoyed several.
My most recent experience was for the show “Power of Sail” starring Bryan Cranston. I was most impressed by the way the team here has really adapted to the ever changing Covid protocols and made it feel like a very safe (but still welcoming) environment. There was a whole team of staff members outside checking vax cards and IDs, and giving a brief rundown on the expectations for mask wearing, which is gently enforced by signs (posted and carried by some staff) during your visit. The process was was very efficient and well organized.
There is a really gorgeous patio with heaters and great atmosphere to enjoy your drinks and snacks from the bar, this outdoor area is the only place where masks are allowed to be removed.
Parking is fairly abundant nearby. There is a lot under the Chik-Fil-a (enter off Laconte just west of the playhouse) that is flat rate, or one at the nearby Trader Joe’s that the playhouse gives you validation for (cost is $5 with the discount) I usually arrive early, park at Trader Joe’s and enjoy a meal somewhere nearby before heading to the theatre, dinner and a show with just $5 spent on parking in Westwood is a great deal.
All around a great night of theatre that I highly recommend.
Patricia B
This place is magic in the heart of Westwood. So fortunate to have season passes and get to come here to support and appreciate the arts. Wonderful theater with so much talent inhabiting this place. It's quaint, historic, and cultural.
Craig Rogers
Perfect place to see live theater. Not too large like the other popular LA theaters.
Gavin Doughtie
Beautiful, iconic venue with excellent projection and lighting design.
Michael Stemmeler
Great theatre in Westwood (LA). The place has comfortable seating and is well-ventilated. Friendly staff everywhere. I saw "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" and had a blast!
Kenneth Wright (Ken)
Saw Power of Sail with Bryan Cranston. The facility is very intimate and well built. I appreciated the COVID precautions. I come from 1 1/2 hours away, and was concerned about parking, but there is a convenient parking garage right next door that only cost $5. Awesome overall experience.
Jonathan Renteria
Always showing great plays or hosting fun events. The theatre stage and seating is intimate, great vibes. Really enjoyed the outdoor space as well.
Karen Palty
Love the beautiful Geffen theater, the best! Saw Power of Sail a couple months ago & going to see Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? this week!
Mario Estrada
This is a very intimate and amazing playhouse. We say Whose Afraid of Virginia Woolf for a matinee. One cool thing is you can pre order consessions and skip the line. The only challenge is parking but that just requires a little planning.
Irmi Johnson
Lovely small theater, great location.
Ruth Araujo
Amazing service, super friendly staff, great productions every single time
Janice Gray
The play, Power Of Sail, was excellent. The theater has very adequate restroom facilities for women. The theater staff is very personable and very helpful.
Chad DeFranco
Great little theater with top notch acts. You're sure to catch a great play or show. There really probably aren't bad seats in the house.
Erick Breneman
Live in person Theater is back
Just saw The Enigmatist. Great show. The performer had a great memory for his "tricks" and he carries the story well. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the show!
jane dubovy
AMAZING. One of Geffen's Best. CALISA and ZACHARY were unbelievable. Supporting actors great. Standing ovation as the last words were being spoken.
20 year subscriber.
Dev Prema
The small theatre was very nice.
James Gautereaux
Well we saw who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf at the geffen the staff and service was quite excellent even though we suffered for 3 hours with our masks on in the theater it was still entertaining so please check out the gas they have I think two theaters so you may see a couple of different place if you wish and enjoy Westwood what a beautiful set specially at night and of course with you CLA right next door text you can't beat a better place to walk or have a meal before the show anyway everybody have a great day
Jeff Slayton
Beautiful theater and the play, The Inheritance was brilliant!
Maryam Tahmasebi
This was my first visit. Parking is a bit tricky but reasonable for LA. With your theater ticket it is 5$ to park in Trader Joe's parking which seems a bit unfair. I think It should be free for people who are paying to see a play. The playhouse itself is classic, small and nicely decorated. The design of the chairs makes it easy to have a good view to the stage from every angel and wherever you are seated. The restrooms were clean (long line) and as usual, women's restrooms are farther than men's! I always wonder why is that. I didn't give it a 5 because nothing stood out to me about the place. There wasn't anything that I say "wow, I will remember this place"
Bill Ross
I had a fabulous time at the Griffin playhouse the play Nat King Cole was fabulous I really enjoyed that and the playhouse itself Griffin playhouse was very upscale first time ever been there really enjoyed it
Lorena Rodriguez
Parked at Target parking lot next to the theater for free. This is a beautiful little theater. Their small outdoor area is cute and has outdoor heaters for cold nights. The inside has very comfy seats and the sound transfers well in the theater. I am a little hard of hearing, but I didn't have a problem throughout the play.
Giacomo Valentini
Very pleasant experience, nice seats, good visibility from where we were seated. Nice atmosphere. The play was great.
M.J. Kang
A nice theater that generally shows quality work. Sometimes, I wish the work showcased was deeper and richer, but this is a theater that deserves continued support. Affordable rush tickets may be purchased at the door on the day of the performance. I believe one hour before, but check the website to make sure. They have an agreement with a parking lot nearby for cheaper parking, but there is also metered parking - which can be hard to find. They have drinks and snacks at the concession and on some performances, offer free wine - usually Sunday evenings.
Hengqian Guo
If the show is at Geffen playhouse, then it’s hard to be bad.
Katie Jacobs
Beautiful structure and not so difficult to find. unfortunately they don't have their own parking structure or lot but it is located right next door to a Ralph's grocery store which has an attached parking lot and parking structure. I think it was 2 hours for free w/ validation and then some ~$10 every 30 minutes or so.
We printed our tickets at home instead of choosing well call and we're able to walk right in. All of the staff were very professional and helpful when dealing with the attending guests. 5 stars for service *
Our seats were in the 3rd price tier and still had a reasonably good view. I would definitely come back here but definitely not on a Sunday, weekday evening shows are more to my preference.
NotGonna Say
Among my favorite theatre venues in Los Angeles - the smaller space is ideal for intimate plays, and the main theatre has great viewing from pretty much every seat....though I will say the mezzanine doesn't leave much room for patrons passing through to their seats. The quality of the shows varies greatly, but they're always well produced.
Malcolm Mclean
The most beautiful Theater in Los Angeles.
Great plays And off off Broadway theatre.
Many well known actors perform there and it is a delight to watch well known actors perform on stage in such an intimate space.
The best plays and performances I have seen and such a beautiful Center.
Highly recommended.
Very nice people.
Christine Swanson
Great local theater with big name stars. Not a bad seat in the house. Friday’s there is a happy hour open to ticket and non ticket holders. And you can pre-purchase food and drink before the show for intermission. Looking forward to returning to seeing another show.
Steve Lloyd
Christmas Carol was an awesome one man show. Top notch professional production in a very nice theater. First time for us. We will spend a little more and order earlier so as not to be sitting in the far edge seats that have poor sightlines for the near side upstage. We are contemplating season tickets even though it would mean 200 miles of driving round trip. We are a theater family and think it well worth the drive.
Lara Gertzen
Love the Geffen. Have been there a couple times. I am not a subscriber but they don't make me feel guilty about it. Its nice to have good theater in my area. The local restaurants are walkable if you come early. Parking is close for $7 right next door or $4 with validation at the public structure by Trader Joe's. They have a cool outdoor seating area and a nice bar. Eat first though. Not much food options and you cant bring in drinks to the theater. Makes sense though. Its not a cineplex.
Just saw an amazing show at called Nothing to Hide. Blew my mind. I highly recommend it.
Bobbie Kostos
One of the more intimate, romantic, finest theaters around. Every play is at their best and so very entertaining. Some of your finest actors/ actresses can be found here. Excellent venue. Tip...rent the earphones even if you do not have hearing problems. The acoustics can be a problem in the larger theater.
Linda Holliday
Intimate theater. The back seats are elevate sothat the stage is well seen.Accoustics are excellent. Patio is quaint. Beware of parking issues.
Jessica Young
The Geffen has continued to be innovative with their content and how they have adapted to a pandemic world. I saw the first show back in person last night and it was fantastic. The Enigmatist was funny, challenging, and mind blowing. David Kwong put on an amazing show and the set and pre-show puzzles were fantastic!
Denise Berringer-Wood
Wonderful and charming venue. We had a delightful experience with all of the staff and the highest quality of theater in the country. Remember to get your parking validated for the garage next to Trader Joe's.
Joe Annabi
This theater is beautiful, and they are always cycling thru great contemporary shows. There is a sense of change in the direction of the theater as it seemingly shifts gears from catering mostly to an older donor audience to try to bring in more shows that will attract the next generation of active theater goers. As with any change there may be some bumps in the road as it can be hard to please all people all the time, but it's a worthwhile undertaking and they're doing a great job so far.
Denelle Reid
Great play house. We had seats up against the wall and we were still able to see everything! Enjoyed the architecture and the ambiance of the outside too. Seats could use some updates Ava were really close, but still comfortable.
Glenn Orton
Great show, parking next door, great COVID safety protocols. Had a wonderful time at a Saturday matinee.
Poupee Cabalar
If you are up for a evening out, try a performance here. We saw Key Largo with Andy Garcia, this evening. It was good. The set was amazing. Every seat in the plahouse offers an awesome view. We sat in the balcony, center. Good seats!
Lisa J Salas
Beautiful little theatre! High quality professional show with equity actors. Wine, beer, cheese plates, and sweets available before the show and at intermission. Parking structure available, and parking only cost me $7.00.
Darren Wright
I love this place. The courtyard is beautiful and always such a joy to watch the plays.
I just wish they could improve the food & drinks, ...this would make it "amazing".
You're almost there Geffen, ...now just make all aspects of the entire experience important.
Stephanie Lawrence
The theater is classic, clean, and all the employees are very helpful. Saw Key Largo (Andy Garcia, Joely Fisher, Danny Piño, etc) and lighting and sound are great. Intimate and can't wait to see another show here.
Michael Greenwald
Great opening theatre experience. Bryan Cranston in The Power of Sail. Helps when you have Gil Cates Jr at the helm of the ship.
Kevin Luck
I love going to this theater. It is an intimate atmosphere with a broad range of plays from known and new playwrights from around the country
Situated in the middle of downtown LA Westwood area, it has lots of interesting restaurants to choose from.
Parking can be a little difficult but there are several parking structures in the area.
Trecia Lovering
Adorable theater tucked away in Westwood. Great plays and performances. Worth checking it out.
Chadd Watson
The quality of show you get at this theater is incredible. The Geffen also has the nicest little courtyard to hang in before or after shows. Very nice..bit of a romantic vibe if you're looking for that
Martin Cremer
What I appreciate about the Geffen Playhouse is their willingness to showcase new playwrights on a regular basis and quickly rotate shows so that a range of players and writers have an opportunity to share their unique voices. A truly great live theatrical performance is unforgettable and can move audiences beyond measure. If anyone reading has experienced that miracle you know how rare it is. It's a bit like fishing for an ol' grander Marlin, no matter how many times you go out, you're not guaranteed to even get a bite.
I am grateful to have been present for at least two extraordinary theatrical masterpieces (though I understand beauty is in the eye of the beholder). Theater doesn't have to be soul jarring drama to be transformative. I have fond memories of thunderous laughter from the comedies hosted on Geffen's stage. Again, the artistic director(s) have reliability demonstrated a willingness to showcase a diverse range of stories and voices. In this digital era, a night at the theater has a powerful and lingering effect. I am glad that Los Angeles has at least one stage where I know I can see something new...and I have the best chance of witnessing that elusive magic which brings me back to live performances again and again.
Glenn Wallace
The theater is very nice and comfortable with more leg room than most. Some plays are very good and others are not. It all depends on your taste. I suggest reading about the play and any reviews before buying tickets.
J K
Beautiful theater, outstanding production.
Jay Vogel
Love this beautiful theater. Right in the heart of Westwood across from UCLA. Not too large so every seat is good. And their multiple annual productions are always thought provoking, exciting and first rate.
Jeffrey DeVore
The venue itself is well-appointed, and staff and ushers are friendly and enthusiastic (but not overly so). The play, "Skintight", was funny, well-acted. But too many of my buttons got pushed (my issue), so I left at intermission.
Kresh Reil
Nice little theater where even the seats in the rear have a good view of the stage
Daniel Will-Harris
WORLD-CLASS THEATER.
LA is famous for movies, London, for theater.
And while London lives up to its reputation for world-class theater, LA has some world-class theater of its own. The top two are the Center Theater group at the Music Center and Kirk Douglas, and the Geffen Playhouse, in Westwood.
The venue is beautiful, a 1929 Spanish style building with a charming courtyard where you can have a drink before the show and during intermission.
The largest of the theaters is an intimate state-of-the-art auditorium with 512 seats. Even the balcony feels close and has good sightlines.
But even more than the venue, it's the quality of productions that makes this the theater lovers' theater.
I recently saw the World Premiere adaptation of "A Christmas Carol." You're probably thinking, "Oh, please, not another production of that weary old chestnut!"
But no, this stunning one-man show, featuring the truly astonishing Jefferson Mays, made it feel like the old story was brand new--and scary. May's energy borders on mystical, as he narrates and plays all the characters, jumping instantly from an all-too-human Scrooge, to an all-too-ghostly Marley. It's hard to believe one person can perform with such energy, exuberance, and heart for the 90 minutes of the show--much less that he can accomplish this magical feat almost every night (and four times on weekends!)
The direction, production design, lighting are all first-rate, stunning, beautiful, scary.
The ability to see this level of talent in a theater in Los Angeles is a true gift. As is the fact that seats are available for as little as $30.
The staff is all very friendly and helpful. And, last, but not least in LA, ample validated parking is only $4 under the Trader Joe's a block away.
If you love theater you'll LOVE the Geffen.
Anthony Angel
I went there for a school field trip to see a play Iceberg and it wad great. They offered great satisfaction to any needs and their stage is amazing. The seats are perfect for long plays that take 2 or more hours. And the lobby is so magnificent.
John Houser
A stalwart of the theater scene on the west side of LA. Renowned productions with famous names pepper the season. Excellent productions at both theaters throughout the year. Parking is paid. You might be able to find street parking but it's right next to UCLA so count yourself lucky if you do find it.
Donald Owens
Attended a performance at the Historic "Geffen Playhouse". The show was :" Lights Out: Nat "King " Cole. The show was an inside view of Nat's last show. Excellent presentation! However, the Geffen Playhouse is historic. I sat on the mezzanine. Great view and sound system was good as well. Seats are comfortable. The walkway is tight. Staff : Very good. Will call, Polite. The Playhouse does offer /serves drinks and snacks. Wine and other alcoholic drinks available. There is a small garden sitting area. Parking is validated and is used at ,Trader Joe's parking structure. Walking distance. However, there is parking next door. I paid $7.00. No attendant. Pay by credit card. No cash! An enjoyable time. More performances on the way. Check the "Playhouse " out. Who says, Don Owens.... Dining all over. Remember, it is in the mist of UCLA....Yea
Jocelyn Eke
Every seat in the house is great. They gave me a free drink on my birthday. They have this cool rotating stage. The people who work there are courteous. All around quality playhouse.
Time2danz
Not a bad seat in the house. Gorgeous theater. $4.00 parking next to Trader Joe's along with theater validation. The Ralph's next to the Geffen is fabulous & let's not forget the convenience of Trade Joe's and plenty of local restaurants.
Cydney Davis
I saw two wonderful plays with stellar actors. Brian Dennehey in HUGHIE and Krapps Last Tape was amazing. It was pure joy to watch one of my favorite film actors perform live. Then Dickens A Christmas Carol was brought to life in the most thrilling production I've ever seen starring Jefferson Mays. To witness one man tell this classic tale with such passion and believability was an experience of a lifetime. I LOVED it.
Mary Aracena
The venue was beautiful. We sat in the orchestra section in the back. The lady's bathroom was clean and well kept. A great experience overall and an awesome time out with friends.MaryYourSoul(dot)com
DeEtte Tikotzinski
A great venue with atmosphere and class; what a show!
Rick Dorsey
Intimate playhouses that attracts top talent & shows. Staff is courteous and extremely helpful.
Marco Baldan
Very nice and cozy theatre in Westwood (UCLA) offering a range of interesting plays. Only minus point, some seats might not be comfortable for tall people.
Ron Gillen
A wonderful place!! Loved it and liked the experience a great deal.
JEFF SUMMERS
Some good shows, some silly shows, the boots out soon as it’s over
Michael Weissman
Super friendly staff here, and a nice theater. For parking you'll want to park in the Trader Joe's parking lot around the block on Weyburn, and they'll validate you in the theater for $5 parking, but it wont work for the lot right next to the theater. That can be a little confusing.
Sarah Floyd
I loved the atmosphere and the play I attended was amazing. I came here to see the Play; 'Thom pain ( about nothing )' -staring Rainn Wilson and enjoyed every second of the experience. The Geffen playhouse is so lovely. I also was able to meet Rainn Wilson after and take a photo with him. Highly recommend this cozy playhouse.
gwen jones
Everything was great from the speakers to the food
Marina V
Amazing place. Especially love the small stage.
Daniel G. Lam
One of the finer West Coast regional theatres offering a variety of modern and classic works. There are two performance space including a 600 plus seat proscenium stage and a 150 plus seat black box theatre that is modified according to the performance.
John Huber
This is the former UCLA Theater, to present campus productions. Now a popular theater venue, with a rich history of past productions. Always top notch, with Meet the Cast evenings/ talk back, on Tuesdays.
William Mortensen Vaughan
I've been to the Geffen Playhouse four times, and look forward to going again Sunday, September 14. The food and drink are fit for Hollywood movie stars. The stages are architectural wonders which are reconstructed for each play. The highlight of all my visits was when I had the privilege of meeting Gary Sinise in person there. Thank you, Mr. Sinise, for some of the best times of my life!
John Milligan
An excellent theatre experience in the heart of Westwood just across the street from UCLA. They have two theaters and show two plays concurrently. They perform award winning plays and we are seldom disappointed in any production.
Michael Coan
Wonderful setting, not a bad seat in the theater and easy parking.
ROBERT Rewies
The Pasadena Playhouse is a historic performing arts venue located 39 S. El Molino Avenue in Pasadena, California, United States. The 686-seat auditorium produces a variety of cultural and artistic events, professional shows, and community engagements each year.
Marc Annotti
Absolutely a lovely place to watch a play... Small and intimate theater

I love this venue. And they put on interesting theater.
Larry C
Comfortable, intimate theater space.
Paul Hejja MD
This is a first class venue for a theatrical experience. Good seats throughout. Suggest hearing amplifier esp in the balcony.

The Geffen is a beautiful theater . Andy Garcia , Tony Plana and Danny Pino were great in the noir classic Key Largo . I would highly recommend seeing this production !
Sandra Cobos
Beautiful theater with outdoor fairy lights all over!!
Marty Flores
First place visiting over the weekend, beautiful place and we had a perfect view! I'm pretty sure you'll get a good view from any seat you purchase and we found parking right next door for only 7 bucks!
Matthew Ellison
Such a wonderful venue I really enjoyed the show and the atmosphere
Karen Hatch
We are subscribers of General Playhouse. We love what it is about. Lovely plays.
Sylvia Almstadt
It was a telling, wonderful, timely play. Kudos to our star. What an inspiration. The suburb star was beyond anything I expected. I was in tears. By the we saw "I was my own wife" and I was hooked on this artist.
Sylvia almstadt, San gabriel, California. Thank you!
AndyMike Emata
Such a jewel in the LA arts community! The venues are beautiful and the staff are friendly. Only challenge is parking.
Andy Abrams
Great venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Wonderful selection of plays. Go if you get a chance. In fact, make sure you get a chance.
Nate
Wonderful theater right next to UCLA with new shows coming every other month. I bought a 5 show packet and have enjoyed each show!
Josh Roblez
i saw super hero black magic momma by Inda Craig Galvan and it was fantastic! There was one tech problem that lasted 30 seconds, but the actors didn't even notice and powered through it! And the play was amazing, what a line up! Such talented writing. Definently go see bshmm.
Tempast Wulf
The theater is beautiful I would LOVE to see s Shakespeares "The Tempest" there.
No clue what I watched the other night but the acting was horrible.
Gregory Fu
High quality productions. Intimate atmosphere, particularly in the orchestra seats.
Andrew C. (fanofhockey)
Great place to see a show. Lots of restaurants in the area that you can walk to also.
Kipp Fisher
The Geffen is a Southern California gift. Every presentation (5) we have experienced has been extremely special. We are moving back north in a couple of months and will miss The Geffen most of all...
Brett Kushner
Very nice theater experience, with both a mainstage, and a smaller side room. The side room can be very intimate. Great shows!
debbaworks
It's a beautiful theater with comfortable seats, a wonderful bar, easy parking nearby, and great performances.
Micki K Kirkland
A conversation with Lin Manuel Miranda and his dad Luis Miranda and Soledad O'Brien moderating, it could only have been better if it were longer. Absolutely fascinated by their story and their support of Puerto Rico relief efforts.
Steve Evans
The Geffen is a beautiful theater! We saw "Significant Other" and really enjoyed it. Near UCLA. There is some shopping and restaurants nearby.
Tatiana Tuccio
