Reviews of Palikū Theatre
I enjoyed my first play at Paliku theater. The chairs were comfy. The layout is great. Not a bad seat in the house unless you have difficulty climbing steps.
We enjoyed watching "Seasons", a series of original, creative and inspiring ballet performances by dancers of Hawaii's Prisma Dance studio. Excellent sound, visual backgrounds. We sat at the top, so did not have to go down the very steep stairs.
Beautiful theater with great shows and great sound. Technically advanced and equipped. I wish that Windward Community College had this theater when I went to school there!
I especially appreciate that they now honor my Kanaka Warrior ID as military identification. We had a few struggles over this some years back, but they never give me any trouble over it at all now. We are all learning and growing together, and they are a valued and awesome part of our community that I am very proud of.
I attended the 24/7 Danceforce Concert on July 30. The concert was great and viewing of the performers was unhindered . Wonderful concert and concert theatre !!
Lovely performance of "Children of Eden". It's great that there is not a bad seat in the theater due to the raked seating.
Was a great location for graduation. Plenty of seating. Wonderful atmosphere.
Nice Theater.
Nice church production.
Beautiful Theatre! I been here so many times, I loss count!
Children of Eden
I know the story of Adam and Eve. I know the story of Noah. I’ve seen many versions of them. This is the first time seen this version and #imabrightkid and #palikutheatre’s production of Children of Eden does not disappoint.
Michael Bright leads the show as both Adam and Noah with co-leads Jade Stice and Jade Bright completing the partnership. The musical numbers range from church choir energy to a jazzy temptation piece into a glorious broadway number and peaking with a hand clapping gospel celebration. The ensemble cast, ever present on stage, added to the sense that this is a family story to which all need to pay attention.
Ultimately, this show just simply blew me away. This powerful combination of a well written show, Palikū Theater’s awesome layout, and I’m A Bright Kid Foundation’s strong history of musical theater makes a powerhouse show that needs to be seen. Only two more weekends to catch this show so don’t miss it!!!
Just spent a wonderful evening enjoying Windward Community College Paliku Theatre's production of 1776: The Musical! We were blessed and incredibly lucky to have seen "Hamilton" last September on Broadway, so we anticipated that this play would provide more educational insight and genuine entertainment about the founding of our nation. We were not disappointed! You should make every effort to see this outstanding play!
The dynamic story of the first Continental Congress and the creation of the Declaration of Independence is riveting. The script, some of which is taken from actual front line dispatches from General George Washington, is engaging; the acting is stellar; and the musical performances, complete with an orchestra and musicians outfitted in period attire, are excellent! Lead performers Eli Foster as John Adams and Gary Morris as Benjamin Franklin are particularly enjoyable, along with their fellow patriot and author of the Declaration Thomas Jefferson, portrayed by Neil Scheibelhut. No question, the most gifted singer in the cast is John Adams' wife, Abigail, played by Kate Sarff. The audience eavesdrops on the couple's intimate written correspondence which is played out face-to-face in tender, heart-tugging words and songs throughout the play. Director Miles Phillips is to be congratulated for pulling together such a talented cast and a truly enjoyable production!
Great sight-lines fur every seat! High-quality productions - ambiance, lighting, sound, sets, props, costumes. Gracious, smiling staff. Worth it every time!
Beautiful modern handi-accessable theater well equipped backstage, featuring Hawaiiana, local theater, high culture, and visiting performers. Close free parking.
Excellent theater for performances.
Best performing art theater on the windward side. Loved watching my granddaughter in her play Journey and "Once On the Island Jr."
Beautiful theatre. Good parking. Views of koolaus. Ballet recital for Queen Emma Ballet stunning.
Paliku is like a second home. A house where there is no bad seat. A stage that is great for small and large groups!
Steep stairs make for excellent viewing even if a tall person sits in front of you! Not a bad seat in the small house
Beautiful performance venue!
Chef Daniel Swift knocked out an incredible tasting menu for 150 guests !!!
Also the art exhibit was outstanding !!!
Awesome! Went to see The Wonderful Wiz of Oz. One of the best performances I have seen in recent times.
