What a beautiful venue and made me nervous to watch a rock show here. The outside was well manicured and when we entered I was taken back at how nice the facility has been maintained and refurbished. Love the woodwork and the ornate detail within the auditorium. We sat in section C in the balcony and the sound for the show was terrific. We saw the Cult play and I have seen them in several venues from outdoors to small bars. This was a phenomenal shoe and will be back for other shows here now that I know it is here.

I really enjoy attending concerts at Hoyt Sherman Place. They always do a good job of bringing in great performers. The architecture is fantastic here & it gives you the sense of a place that's old school glamorous. My only knock on it is they can be real sticklers about video recording. They don't mind the occasional photography but they will track you down if they see you recording anything & tell you to put your camera away which is really very annoying. I like to sit in the balcony when I go here because there's not a bad seat anywhere up there & the tickets are usually cheaper.

WOW! Incredible show! Incredible venue! Black Jacket Symphony is a MUST see! WOW!

I loved their building. Took my dad to see the George Thorogood and the destroyers concert. The seating was tight since it was built back when people were smaller (less obese). The only strange thing I noticed was their was only one bathroom for men and women both. Another nice thing is the venue is not huge, you can actually see the concert or show!

Great show. Amazing acoustics. I sat in balcony. Section C which is middle overlooking stage, 1st row. When purchasing tickets it mentioned nothing about having box seating infront of 1st row. I figured I'd be sitting at the edge above stage with no obstructions. When in reality 1st row starts after a row of box seats and the walkway. So, while not terrible, not the greatest either.
Quite a few heads blocking my view at times. But overall, great show, great sound, clean, comfortable and beautiful is an understatement. Also, beer and wine was allowed at your seat which was awsome too! I'll definitely go back!

Such a fun spot to see a show! The theater itself has beautiful architectural detail sprinkled all around. Seating is a little tight, but always have had a great view of the stage. Be sure to take a stroll through the art collection after grabbing a drink from the bar area before a show.

I went with my wife to the concert of We The Kingdom and it was an unforgettable experience! The place is very classic and all the seats feel very close to the stage. We stay at the mezzanine and could have a privileged view of the whole place.

Hoyt Sherman is a great venue! I've seen Joe Jackson and recently The Indigo Girls (with Lyris Hung on violin) and Mary Bragg (opened) and special guest "Bat" (just an actual bat flying inside for a few minutes - not abnormal and part of HSP's charm). There are about 1,200 seats - so it's an intimate concert venue.

It was an awesome experience. I would like to see some improvements in the area of ADA compliance. My wife uses a walker and it was difficult to maneuver around to get refreshments. Also wear layers because we definitely had to strip down by the end of the night. It was very warm. The performance was great and the theatre is beautiful.

Get there early enough to tour the venue and attached house. Gorgeous, comfortable, lots of helpful volunteers, great acoustics. Seats were wider than most from the era! Ample parking. Balcony view from row B was somewhat obscured. We saw Yola and it was one of the best shows I've seen in any venue.
