Reviews of Town Hall Arts Center
Dave Klingler
I like this theater. I've seen two musicals this year at that location. I don't live down there or I'd probably go more often. The first time was the Little Shoppe of Horrors, and the last one was Xanadu.
Both musicals were done well. Only a few off pitch notes were sung in both which can be explained away with live theater rather than poor casting.
The theater is on the small side, but that is what makes it so intimate and nice. I sat on the sides during both productions and didn't feel I was excluded or robbed from poor seating.
Overall, they do an excellent job and hire good performers. Keep up the great work and break a leg. 😉

Really great theatre company! The theatre is small but the seats are relatively comfortable and even the side view seats are just fine- they make an effort to block the shows so that all seats get to feel front and center. All of the staff was great as well!
Kathy Winterburn
Really love this place! It's small and personable - and every performance I've seen has been awesome! I don't know where they pull the talent from but it is definitely "broadway worthy"!
Linda Carney
Master Class was thoroughly entertaining. Superb performance by Megan who played Maria Callas. She owned the show and her audience. Everyone in the show was terrific. Especially Joel, the pianist.
Sandy K
Very nice, small town feeling theater. Newsies was performed well. Many high energy, young actors. Highly recommend.

I am very excited to see what events and shows are to come.
The staff are always readily available for a tour of the center and very great about answering any questions you may have about the history. The town hall arts center has a very cool history behind it. It used to be a fire department and they ended up turning it into a theater because they needed a bigger place for the fire department so some of the old features still remain. And it used to also be a courthouse and a jail which is very interesting.
If you're looking to find more history Old Town Littleton is a great place to start there are many memorial marks throughout the city ready to tell their story.

Littleton Town Hall continues to improve its quality of productions. The plays are phenomenal. It is a fabulous venue for excellent local theater
Mark Freeman
Great place for theater. Saw Xanadu and it was exceptional! Friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Look forward to going again soon.

My neighbor invited us to come with her and her homeschool group for an inside look at this theater and arts center. A very nice man who is the director of the educational department did a very cool play for us using volunteers from the group. It was so fun and the kids had a blast. They did a fun spin on Little Red Riding Hood. Afterwards he answered questions and gave us a backstage tour. I'm an old man and I thought it was fascinating to learn about the theater. They also have a ton of camps and classes for kids were they get to learn acting, about theater, and how to battle (were you learn how to act like your fighting, sounds very cool). I would love to come back and see a real show here and I think I'll do that soon.

We loved the production of Xanadu! Saw it twice! Wonderful talent 😊

Such a great theater!! Amazing actors and employees
Steven Spearman
Really enjoyed getting back to a live musical after this last year. I think maybe it's time that they could get back to doing some concessions and such but I can appreciate being cautious. The show and the five actresses were all very good. The spacing and distancing was very conservative; it's a mostly older crowd that I'm assuming is mostly vaccinated - I felt comfortable.
Gary Nordlander
My family's family's first play at the Town Hall Arts Center "Little Shop of Horrors". The play was wonderful and entertaining. The venue was great so this was perfect. Great work.
Joe Schmoe
Had a great time watching a rendition of Little shop of horrors. It's quite intimate with seating for less than 300. I will be going again this year to one of their upcoming events.
Michelle Baldwin
Terrific productions in a small space. The stage sets were really creative! Very impressed!

We just saw Meet Me In St. Louis, what a wonderful show. The theater is quaint ~200 seats and you are so close to the stage you feel as though you are part of the show. We will definitely be going back. The ticket pricing is very reasonable. Side note: My husband found a historical document in the entry way that said the building used to be a fire station.

AMAZING PERFORMANCE
Attended "A Christmas Carrol" for my birthday on the 23rd of December, their final performance for this Christmas season... we have seen 18 or 19 versions of this play over the years in many cities, including Providence, Boston, Newport, New York and Vail....many times at Triniry Theatre in Providence (a VERY old Theatre and our absolute favorite) ...my wife and I checked out the theater and stage in Littleton a few weeks before and were a bit concerned with the lack of features we were used to seeing for this production...
!Fears abated! The sets were VERY SIMPLE and special effects limited but we were were Wildly and Pleasantly surprised by HOW MUCH they were able to accomplish with so little.
AMAZING PERFORMANCE! Very creative and talented crew. Vocals were superb! Dance numbers were entertainingly brilliant.
A Fantastic experience all around! Glad we attended and would recommend to anyone for next year.

I love this theatre!!!!!!! I have done six productions here and I hope to do more soon! It's an amazing environment for young actors and actresses, like myself, to learn and grow. I have also seen many professional shows and they are all AMAZING!!!!!!! I love the set, costumes, characters, and the directors obviously put a TON of thought into who would be perfect for the roles.
Laurie Pritzl
This theatre is so charming. I love how intimate the seating is. The shows are very entertaining and great to watch. The theatre is older, and I got a little confused on how to actually get to the seats, but I have enjoyed all the shows I have gone to there! Definitely worth checking out!
Rachel Moore
Enjoy the intimacy of theater! I really like this outfit as they put on quality and well-beloved shows where no seat is a bad seat. The Littleton Main Street players are great at their craft, and the staff is always incredibly accommodating. It's a short walk from the Light Rail station, plus there are several restaurants nearby to grab dinner before your show.
Poison Psych
Little shop of horrors was absolutely incredible and I can't wait for once on this island! The show's here are absolutely incredible and I love the details
RedElectric3
Great small theater that is remodeled from a town hall, duh. Cozy seats, and their thing is musicals!! They offer alcohol too so that's fun and if you get front row seats you are literally going to be sitting on the stage. Awesome place to go, I recommend going to a show here.
Amber Daniels
Wonderful staff and ushers. High quality Community Theater. There were many talented actors within these walls. I brought my toddler's to see Seussical it was a very colorful and Lively performance. The stage was nicely decorated like jumping out of a book of Seuss.
Vivian R
Went to see the Fantasticks, had a great time. Beautiful building with a small intimate theater that let's you feel a part of the play.
Laura S.
I love this place. It's really cute. My friend has been in a theater program here for ages and has absolutely loved it. They are so supportive. Their shows are adorable and entertaining. I hope to catch Shakespeare here sometime in the future. It's a lovely staple of downtown Littleton. Their side stage is adorable and pretty small, which makes it a great intimate space for shows ranging from children's theater to Shakespeare and beyond. THAC is a wonderful addition to the community, and I highly reccomend checking it out.
Aubrey W.
This is an amazing theater for its size! Every show has the same energy and skill as anything you would see at DCPA, but far more affordable. I have loved coming here for 8 years now to see a variety of shows.
Michelle Andrews
Love their pancakes and the original Joe. Leo was our waiter and was very attentive and helpful. Great lunch with friends.
Phil Meltzer
Awesome little intimate theater. And the quality of the performances is always great! We've seen 3 shows here and will continue to come back for more.
A Wu
A wonderful small theater which seats about 200 people. I've been here several times and have always enjoyed the productions. It is street parking only but we've never had a problem finding a spot.
Bobbie Smith
Town Hall Arts Center is a gem in downtown Littleton. The shows are well done with great actors, sets, lighting, sound, etc. Ushers are volunteers and very helpful and friendly. The restrooms are small, but clean and well stocked. Actors use the aisles to enter and exit the stage. It makes the audience feel a part of the show.
Sarah Lawson
Great little local venue for shows. One small theater with only a few rows of seats that come right up to the stage. We saw Avenue Q and it was fun to be so close to the performers.
Kenneth Mestas
Everything about the performance I saw was incredible. The use of space, the lighting, the acting (was pretty good) the direction, the set. Town hall arts center really knows how to put a show together.
rick acres
My wife and I always enjoy our experience of live theatre at this downtown Littleton venue. Have dinner at one of the many restaurants and then catch the show, it makes for a great date night.
Justin Benoit
Easily the Best place to see a play!!! From the absolute worst seat in the house, you can still almost touch the stage. Super intimate, great production quality, and just a really cool great place.
Bill Doyle
This is our first time at the Town Hall Arts Center. We really enjoyed their production of the Christmas Carole. This is the local theater we have been looking for and we will be back.

I've seen a few plays there and I really enjoy it. An intimate experience. Glad to have this venue near home.

"Young Frankenstein" is another smash hit: great acting, music, songs, singing, dancing, costumes and monster! Tremendous fun, and definitely PG-13. Don't miss it!
"Next to Normal" is a tremendously powerful, significant and moving story, with serious comments about life, pharmacology, mental health care, loss, love, tenacity and reality. The singing and music are amazing: love the special harmony - I believe it is added on top of as well as around the melody - made every song drill right into your heart!
"Boeing Boeing" a while back was a sound-clarity BUST, but the Executive Director saved the day. Usually THAC has very good plays and musicals with decent sound, but this was a low. The actors were not mic'd, so instead they yelled while moving around, talking to the side and back (a theatrical no-no without mic's*) sound bouncing all over the theater several times, all talked very fast, and the women talked like teenagers - no consonants - and two used foreign accents...............
One of them played Ulla (with an accent) in the "Producers," WITH a mic, and was decent to understand..............
Got a refund at intermission and left. Will come back for musicals............
Executive Director offered Collaboration - 2 tickets to the Final Dress Rehearsal of each show for feedback on sound quality.

*sft. edu/tips/stage-acting. html: "always angle your body out toward the audience if you’re not facing them outright. Any movements that require you to turn, always turn in the downstage direction... As many directors say, 'They’re paying to see your face, not your behind.'"
