Reviews of The Garner Galleria Theatre
We arrived to the parking beside it at 7:10 pm on a Thursday night.
We were able to park quickly, and close to the elevator. Parking fee was $12. We head to level 3 where all the theaters are at.
Our e-tickets wouldn't come up so they printed us hard copy.
The theater is cozy but tight. Drinks were expensive! Like $6 for a water bottle!
But the act was fun!
Surrounded with lots of restaurants.
Fun show and great experience. Went to see First Date with my girlfriend, and had a blast. I was concerned at first that the show experience would be diminished with the wait staff coming in and out of the theater area, but they were like Ninjas. You hardly knew they were there, so there was no degradation to the show experience. Awesome time!
Great, intimate theater space with good sight lines everywhere. Talent was solid and I'd love to see a show here again.
Fun afternoon out. Excellent performers.
Lot's of cool shows, the drinks are very expensive though.
I love this theater. It is a much more intimate environment. There is table service for drinks and a limited number of snacks. Personally, I prefer to sit at one of the bar rail type seats rather than the small tables. The productions I've seen here definitely play into the smaller, closer audience.
Intimate theater, not a bad seat in the house and acoustics are fine. But as is usual for places like this, the seats are crammed together, drinks are slightly overpriced as well as the snacks . Even so, I would still definitely see another Play or performer at this venue.
Exceptional experience at this small theater, great cast and venue. This was my first time visiting the Garner and I had a fantastic time. I was very impressed with with play quality and cast, and can't wait to see what is offered at the venue next time. I would even go back to see Xanadu again!
Cute little place. Fun cabaret style show. 😎 …
We love the Galleria! If you prefer to enjoy performances in a small cozy venue, this theater is not to be missed. Simple snacks and drinks are available in the theater, and the distraction and noise from servers during a show is the only reason I dropped off one star. If you're ok with that, it'll be a five star venue for you!
Improvised Shakespeare was amazing! A must see (although it is different every night). Our show was call "Don't Go In There!" - suggested by an audience member. Total laugh riot!
The Garner Galleria Theatre is a fantastic space for intimate performances. Unlike many of the other theaters that make up the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, drinks are allowed in the venue and served throughout the performances. Service is underwhelming and, no doubt, the product of having a captive audience. The bartender on my last visit was excessively rude. Nevertheless, this is one of my favorite theater spaces, and a joy to have in Denver.
A cosy, fun theater with an adequate wine selection. The cast of Xanadu was full of energy and really captured the over the top fun self seriousness of the 80s perfectly. Others expecting something gargantuan and Brechtian would rate this lower than me, but I found the cozy and personal space close to the stage one in which the illusion could be more easily preserved and this is what made my night. My date and I had a wonderful time
Great venue. We watched a comedy musical and had a wonderful time. The place is a little too warm for me. If you run cold, you will feel nice and comfortable.
We love the venue! Interactive! Sit on the front row if you can!
Saw Xanadu here with my wife. Small theater, but a fun layout that allows for audience interaction/participation and no bad seats. Would absolutely go back to see a show in this theater.
I love small theaters and this place is perfect for intimate shows! The tables are so convenient and I like that you can be served (drinks) while seated.
hard place for parking!! Get here early tho park in the DCPA garage. The Garner theater is directly to the south of the garage.
The theater is a smaller intimate venue for smaller productions but is a great experience. Drinks are served before and during the show, as well as some food items.
Really enjoyed the intimate atmosphere of this smaller theater. Saw the Improv Shakespeare Company and had a complete blast. Recommend to everyone.
I have been here a couple times for some musicals. It is an interesting layout. They have enough seating for those who are early to be able to relax before the musicals start.
What a wonderful, intimate theater! The seating is well-placed and comfortable. I think any seat would lend itself to easy viewing of the stage.
Cozy, intimate theatre downtown. Despite the small venue the shows are always spectacular. The wine is very below average, I tried the Sauv Blanc, the Chard and the house red, all dissapointing. We like to sit at the stage front tables, as opposed to the row-searinf towards the back of the theatre. Great location, parking garage just steps away and plenty of food/drinks options right around the corner.
Fun intimate theatre. Small tables, small stage. They serve drinks while you watch their productions. Usually good, fun entertainment.
The performance was hilarious! Comfortable seating however extremely understaffed. Waitstaff skipped over our table several time....took 40min to get a drink.
Connected bar is super cute and the theatre itself is great. Comfy chairs with wait staff! Not a bad seat in the house either
We had a wonderful time. The show we it's me not you was hilarious. Great place and very small always a great time there.
Had a blast at the theatre, great venue for small shows, staff was friendly, all around great experience.
Would recommend to any fan of the theatre.
Xanadu! It was an amazing play. I look forward to going back to see more.
The "Lady Day" performance was excellent. The cocktail was less than excellent. I would recommend having your drinks beforehand.
Quaint theater with drink service available. We were in the back row and due to some empty seats, we were moved up to the middle rows to fill in for the performance.
This is a great little theater in the Denver Center for Performance Arts complex. Just over 200 seat with table and drink rails.
It's a smaller theater but all the shows are fantastic. Dixie the Tupperware Lady is the best! DCPA rocks.
Great in close venue for fun shows that DPAC puts on. We saw Xanadu tonight and it was so fun and lively with audience participation.
Was a small but very fun theater. Actors were good and singing not bad.
Cute theatre with tables. They have snacks and drinks during the shows. We saw Xanadu and it was great..
We loved the intimate setting and saw Murder for Two. Good waiter service within during the show.
Great place for a show. Every seat has a good view
Xanadu was a lot of fun. Always enjoy the shows here. Nice intimate feeling.
Was here today for a Second City show. The show was great and everyone working the show was kind and attentive and funny as well!
I love this intimate little theatre! Always comfortable and fabulous shows!
My favourite theater at DCPA. Very intimate and with a full bar.
Great bar with fun drink specials before the show
Newly remodeled, fun atmosphere, great bar, awesome restaurant and staff was so on spot with their service and attention!
Go see the Shakespeare improve if you get a chance. Hilarious. We might go again.
Great place for offbeat but well produced works. Cocktail lounge atmosphere.
Theatre in an intimate setting. Great place for a show and a drink.
Fun performances with cocktail service at your seat!
Great little theater! Perfect for comedy show
It was an amazing experience. Saw Xanadu and there was so much interaction.
Amazing set up and great staff. Had so much fun.
Awesome improv Shakespeare theatre. Would go again.
Great theater, very talented actors, perfect atmosphere
Quaint, but fun smaller venue. Had a blast watching Xanadu!
Great shows and always such nice people
Small theater experience with some great shows
Great acoustics. Not a bad seat in the house.
It feels like a cocktail lounge that was created in the 80's and hasn't been updated since.
Good place to take a drink in to the show.
Fun place to see a musical in a small theater.
Lady Day was excellent. Have to agree with others about slow service
It was a fun, quaint venue, and Xanadu was a blast!
Always a fun time at this cozy theater.
The shows here are always worth seeing.
Saw the Second City show and it was fantastic!
Improvised Shakespeare. Blaine Swen. Honey Suit. Yum.😄 …
Great visit. Great views from every seat.
Intimate friendly place with great wait staff.
Erma Bombeck was not as funny as we were expecting.
Season ticket holders, great atmosphere.
Great place to enjoy a show.
Small, intimate theater. Great sound.
Just a blast. Seating was awkward. Third row.
Fun plays, great venue
