Reviews of Su Teatro Cultural & Performing Arts Center
J.M. Serrano
One of the best and most diverse theatres in Denver. Highly recommend this place for unique stories and showings. The people and aesthetics are excellent. They are local and could use all the good word-of-mouth as possible 👍 …
Erica Green
Super dope spot on Santa Fe street! Great please for date night and local plays

The non-profit staff of Su Teatro should be commended for the job they do. One of very few institutions that still serve the Hispanic, Latin community. Because of their dedication, hard work, the support of the Denver Sherrifs Department and many others generosities Su Teatro has and will continue to strive, grow and educate the surrounding communities with a beautiful, vibrant, Hispanic, Latin (Mexican) culture.
Thank you to all their staff for hard work and dedication! Blessings to you and the incredible work you do.

An Arts anchor in the neighborhood and a place for film, performing arts, lectures and more. An authentic and genuine destination for storytelling. Fill your soul at Su Teatro! GH

Paul Arguello

Marlene Rose -Vigil
Such a fabulous production, Chicago's sing the Blues!!! The music brought back family memories. I'm impressed (again) by the splendid local talent on stage. The marvelous talent of the singers, musicians and story tellers are Broadway level! Thank you so much for all you do for our community and for each of us individually!!!
Lex Mendez
I went to see Joaquin's Christmas and it was an amazing performance, all the actors were dedicated to their craft, the staff was very accommodating and they are very mindful of covid safety in the modern world. They also had great snacks to munch on before and during the show, can anybody say Tamales?
julia baker
The staff was friendly. No bad seats. Love the BEATLES THEME. Mask and shots records needed to get in. My friend like it alot. Fun to get out of the house. 😀😀😀 …

This theater always has great productions. I have seen multiple plays here and they range from funny to serious to truly eye opening. They have some truly talented performers here. It is also fun to see the productions with the younger kids ranging from their first play ever to high school aged. They have a bar so you can get beer, wine, or mixed drinks. They also have a great little store filled with local artisans, jewelers, musicians, & authors. To top if off any donation made rolls right back into the community to help teach free youth classes and so much more. This is a very welcoming and fun place to be. Highly recommend seeing a play here.

Andrea Renteria
A beautiful historic community theater. Great ambiance, drinks and foods. Every production is worth seeing!
Tamara Sotillo
Yet another wonderful production by my favorite Community Theater group! War of the flowers tells the story awesome Brave women who seemingly lost their fight against the unfair working conditions but started a movement that continues even today

For Denver, this place still manages to feel nice and comfortable. Despite not being a local, I could pick up on the sense of community and culture. Most of the actors are all people from the surrounding latino community with a passion for what they do. The true value of the production lies in the raw emotion that everyone involved associates with it. The facility itself tells a story too; the building is old enough that the walls tell stories of their own, shadowing the scattered bilingual conversations of the people within.
I would recommend knowing a fair amount of both English and Spanish so as to get the most out of the shows, but it is definitely a worthwhile experience.

A cultural feast. One of the best places to connect to community arts in the Denver metro area.
Gia Bryan
Culturally relevant theater with superbly crafted stories and actors who put their heart into their work. Exactly what every community needs. Tickets are affordable and can be purchased online without ridiculous surcharges that other theaters charge. Check out this gem!
bernadette gonzalez
It's a great place to go for a nice evening entertainment of music and acting in shows the only problem there is the guy who manages he talks too much instead of getting on with the show!!
Deon Ruybal
Such an amazing Cultural and professional theater company. One of my all time favorite places to attend, plays film festivals, and much more. Please give it a chance if u can ever attend it is well worth going to.
John Joseph Niemann
Wonderful cultural plays, focused on the Chicano and Denver experience. For about 10 yrs in this location and 40 yrs total these performers have been keeping our cultural heritage growing and and remembering.
Mateo Cisneros
I love Su Teatro and try to get here a few times per year. Awesome productions. Pure truths. If you're new to Denver, get to Su Teatro to learn the history of the city and its people.
Sierra Swearingen
Historic. Great production. No frills, but the concessions are wonderfully non-corporate. Red wine and apple pie? Yes please. Parking is not great. Don't even try to park close to the theatre - waste of time.
Margie Domingo
Always love watching new revisions of “El Corrido Del Barrio.” Enjoyed the show of course with Yolanda & new actors. Margie Domingo.
Kathleen N
Amazing theater! The music festival was amazing and had extremelytalented musicians! Very friendly and fun! I'll be back!
Cindy P.
It's a great local performing arts theater. A gem in the Latino and Westside community. All they do is truly for the community and by the community. People can sign up for their newsletter or follow them on FB to be updated on events.
Robert Fox
This facility is a little run-down and nothing is state-of-the-art, but the theaters are intimate, the acoustics are very good, and the seats are padded. There's a small paid parking lot next to the theater, otherwise it's free street parking.
CC
What a beautiful theater, rich with Culture. I'm so glad to have been able to see NORTHSIDE! Great play, great atmosphere, great people, overall wonderful experience! Viva La Raza!
Joanne McLain
I love the comfortable feeling of the place and the play we watched was great.
Paul Martinez
Both plays were excellent. I graduated from Lincoln in 1969 and the first play reflected sentiments of the time. I never heard of the strike at Kitayama but I was involved in other boycotts and demonstrations. Compelling history.
lee keene
Nice play... Promise on the Hill
Emily Smith
Every time we go to a show the staff are friendly and smiling like they actually love where they work. The acting is on par and the singing and music is always beautiful.

El Centro Su Teatro continues to lead the way, giving the community the cultural sustenance it needs to navigate through these difficult times. The enormous talent within the walls of Su Teatro, the Source theatre, Denver's premier Black theatre, and Teatro Volarte continue to forge ahead, creating thought provoking productions and bridging the cultural gaps.Kudos to the talent and vision of Su Teatro, the Source, and Teatro Volarte. Out of a possible 5 stars, they get 100.
Patti Briones
Wonderful Chicano arts and entertainment venue. We saw a musical play called El Abuelo, El Arbol y El Burro. Bilingual. Everyone could understand. Audience participation encouraged. My grand kids loved it!

A small, some might prefer intimate, theater in the Santa Fe arts district. The performance I saw was excellent, though it was my first, so I can't say how consistent they are.
