I thought this was a great venue. It had outdoor festival vibe but less lollapalooza and more intimate.
The general admission space was nice even over half way back you felt close. They also had screens on either side of the stage which I love to see during live music shows.
Lastly, the space held nice acoustics. I would see another show here!

We had a great time going to see Jack Johnson! A nice outdoor venue where you can see the skyline and the sunset. Enough clean bathrooms to be comfortable. Food and Drinks are a bit overpriced, so maybe eat outside. Additionally, they don't allow bags larger than your hand and charge for storage, so bring everything in a clear bag or keep them in your pockets!

Location is fantastic, but the venue itself (if we are being honest) is less so. Cheap chairs on a blacktop parking lot.
The amenities are good. Lots of food and drink options and seemingly plenty of bathrooms (the show I saw probably had 8000 ish people).
Wish the city would build a proper pavilion and lawn on this site, the skyline views and summer breeze off the lake would be tough to top!

Saw Alicia Keys here. My first time visiting this amphitheater. Very nice venue. Didn't like the roundabout way they had us enter but that may be a result of the pandemic and trying to keep some order. Loved being under the stars, had great seats in the middle section, the 200s.

I was so excited to visit this venue for the first time, especially for the LANY: Summer Forever Tour 🥰. All the google reviews I read were true & helpful — bringing a small or clear bag helped and the restrooms were really clean. The quality of seats may not be the best as it is an outdoor venue but overall I felt like this concert venue was well-kept. Staff members were really attentive & kind too— we ended up in better seats too thanks to them!! I wasn’t able to see the skyline that clearly as our seats were closer & the weather was cloudy. But to me another reason to revisit this venue 🎟!

Phenomenal views. Easy parking. Not as difficult to get in and out of as expected. Amazing sound. Easy to get drinks and a great selection. The bathrooms were clean for an outdoor venue. Absolutely 0 complaints!!

Went and day $uicideBoy$ tour here and they had amazing security, affordable drinks, quick and easy to get in to lines at all. The bathrooms were amazing. From what my girlfriend said the women's room was pristine. One of the better venues I've been to.
Kevin O'Brien
Great location and fantastic setting to see music outdoor. Went to see Norah Jones and Emily King and got second row seating last minute for $24 apiece on SeatGeek. The bathrooms are really clean as well. Outside of drinks costing $20 each, there’s nothing bad about this experience. It took five minutes to get out of the busy parking lot and I recommend parking parallel on the left side of the lot for an easy and quick exit among crowds of people. We are totally going back here.
Erin S
The sound is good and so are concessions but it's hard to see from the back since the stage is low and the seats don't really rise as you go back like most amphitheaters

Fantastic concert (New Order, Pet Shop Boys, Paul Oakenfold). We were in 1980's, 1990's heaven!!! Easy to get an Uber there and easy to get out back to our hotel. Who knew this all outdoor concert facility used to be a corporate airport...

I read through a lot of reviews talking about the bag policy. I went online and as of 8/6/22, it is correct. There is also a text hotline you can message with any questions, which I found very cool! I ended up taking a gallon ziploc bag in with me and they gave me no issues. They will also allow a plastic or aluminum refillable water bottle (no glass) and there are two water stations. You can also bring in factory-sealed water bottles. That was definitely needed as I went on a 100+ degree day. I didn’t partake in any of the refreshments because I wanted to save my money.
The seats are indeed a little cramped, but once the concert starts, most people stood in the empty spaces just outside the seats and kind of spread out, so it ended up being not too much of a problem. I was disappointed with whomever was operating the projector. They didn’t turn it off the flashing advertisements until halfway through the second performer! Then you could tell they were having issues with it and it took me “out” of it. But the performers were awesome and it wasn’t too loud (normally my complaint in an indoor theatre). I didn’t have to put in my earplugs. They had mobile order available for merch which I think is a pretty cool feature — no standing in line with everyone after the show. And you get to see all the options and prices on your phone. The buses were still running at 11pm on the island which was great.
They also had cocktail stands conveniently located but as I said, I did not partake.
Overall, it was a pretty decent night. Definitely plan ahead about your bags and beverages. Use the text hotline for any questions.

We saw Florence & the Machine on Wednesday evening and then saw Sylvan Esso & Odesza on Saturday. Both shows were fantastic, the venue was really nice, & the backdrop of Chicago's skyline made this a great experience.
Rizelle Angelique McDermott
Been here a few times for concerts over the years. I love this venue as it is outdoors and on the lake. I love that it isn’t extremely massive. There’s lots of fun food and drink stands within the venue.
Zander Betterton
Cool venue with a nice skyline view. The seats aren’t great, so best case scenario you are moderately uncomfortable on a cheap plastic chair, and worst case you are suffocated by your big, burly, sweaty seat-neighbor and you can’t move since they’re ziptied together. But live nation has to cram everyone in since they need the $$$. Love that they serve liquid death to reduce plastic waste, otherwise all the concessions are way overpriced (as expected).
Glen Feulner
Ok place to see a concert. The acoustics aren't great and beware, GA is so big that seating is further back than most venues. Your great seat isn't quite as great as other venues
Bead Haus
I had a wonderful time asolutely amazing concert from Alicia Keys that was worth the wait good vibe great energy glad I had a chance to speak with security to advise purse inside the venue were not allowed (good time)
James Tanner
The concert was good, but side bleachers were pretty lame as nobody was standing up and you had to watch everyone on the ground have a blast. Also, there must have been 20 spiders on the bleachers near us, which made it difficult enjoy the concert.
LeBarron Burton
This was my first time at this Pavilion... This is a great place right off the lake to catch a concert!
Paul J
I was here 07/02/2022 for the My Mom Jacket concert. The venue was decent, the food tents varied, and the perfect watching was great.
This place still has a temporary feel to it. Our seats were folding chairs. The washrooms were in trailers (albeit clean). The whole venue seemed like it could be taken down in one day and put away for the season.
Kayee Ip
Great venue with the backdrop of the Chicago skyline. Love the new app to place mobile orders. Once I was able to figure out where the "north side pickup" was (I was misdirected by three different staff), it was super quick and easy to pick up my order. The venue can be challenging to get to/from for those with accessibility issues.
Mona Meza
I've been here a few times before, but I feel like we were literally crammed into the venue. You couldn't really move because you were hitting the person next to you, I got a drunk spilled on me 3 times by the lady sitting behind me because she was being bumped, and I kept hitting the guy in front of me. All the space you had was the size of your chair. Between the drunk lady behind me and the large man in front of me I think if I had 12 inches it was a lot. Great concert, just very uncomfortable. Hey Northerly Island Management Covid is very real and I know your trying to recuperate the money you lost from the last 2+ years, but charging $250 for a ticket with barely enough room to breathe is not it. Chairs were zip tied together to keep the row straight. The man in front of me was very large and kept pushing the row back I almost fell on top of drunk lady behind me. I wish I could say I had a blast like I've had before but this was torture. Please just keep in mind that we've just come out of a pandemic, let's not go back into one.
Andrew Schwab
Great staff and very well organized!
Greta Van Fleet was amazing and the music was never overbearing with the way the sound was being projected.
Highly recommend pit tickets if attending a concert! No bad seats there.
Philip Rentschler
I loved this venue! It was simple, but really effective for having a good show. The acoustics were very solid, too. Of course the band had a lot to do with it, but Huntington Bank Pavilion hosted the greatest concert that I have ever seen.
jeremiah barr
Not the worst venue in Chicago, but serviceable. From the technical end its good, the audio balances well in the center and the lights/video are spot on. The venue has, as one expects, over priced food and beverages (17 dollars for a beer) but at least it is good selection. Also clear bag policy at the venue, anything large then a clutch purse needs to be transparent. I recommend bringing a picnic and a cooler pre-show have a nice little relaxing picnic on the lake and then go in.
Ladi Oyewo
Incredible venue perfect for concerts! Saw Burna Boy & Alicia Keys there this summer and I was impressed with the sound system and the views of the city are spectacular. You can also go sit by the lake right by the venue. Also very well organized crowd control even if you're driving. Easy to enter and exit.
David Scroggins
Pet Shop Boys and New Order unity tour? Truly an incredible experience. One of the best concerts I've been to. Huntington Bank Pavilion? Eh. The venue itself is fine. Good acoustics. Seating is adequate if not cramped and thankfully the crowd was up on their feet the entire time anyways. The pavilion is capable for seating up to 30,000 yet has the food and drink infrastructure of a much, much smaller venue. You will wait in long lines if you need something to eat or drink and you may find out after a half hour in that line that they're suddenly out of everything but two things on the menu. It's adequate as a concert venue but I wouldn't come hungry.
Blake Dillon
A really intimate venue with views of the city skyline that make it priceless. The bathrooms are a little far away, but that's just one negative to this venue. Word of advice, you'll get strong winds in this pavilion, so make sure you dress accordingly if going to a show in the fall. Can't wait to come back!
Alan Feffer
Excellent venue for intimate and great experience. Sound system was very good especially for an outdoor event. Chicago crowd can really rock it and we both had a blast at Pet Shop Boys and New Order!
Bruce Venable
Good venue for an outdoor concert but the exits are too restricted for the mass exodus after the concert. Too many times we were funneled through a narrow opening when we were leaving. At the last days they offered "reserved general admission" but unfortunately never described where it was located. Turned out to be straight out from center stage in front of the tech booth.
William Willams
First concert at this venue very well organized.
Julie Burton
It was ok. Parking a long way from the venue $35. If you had a medium purse you had to pay $10 to check it. Long lines to get in. Probably won't come there again. Alicia Keys was good.
Karen Cole
I went to Alicia Keys concert last night. Excellent performance. I have complaints about the venue. The website says “ All points of sale will only accept credit, debit or mobile pay (such as Apple Pay or Google Pay)”. Therefore, I did not bring a physical card since I carried a very small see through over the shoulder bag. However, Ticketmaster tickets were in Apple wallet and 2 different scanners were unable to scan them. We had to go to email from Ticketmaster. Next we went to concessions and attempted to get a drink and Apple wallet wouldn’t work at the entrance concessions. Next I went inside to another concession stand and they only had handheld device not iPads which needs a physical card. When I quoted the website and since I only asked for sparkling water she handed it to me. The website should be specific and state you need an actual card. A sign should be posted in the ladies room that the flusher is on the bottom of toliet and you push down with your foot. The stage is on the same level as the folding chairs. You can’t see the performance. I watched Alicia on the big screen.
David Semmes
Had a fun time when we went to see Pet Shop Boys/New Order this September. We'd definitely come back in the future, now that we know what to expect.
We opted for VIP parking and it seemed worth it, especially leaving after the concert. In about 15 minutes we were on Lake Shore. We WON'T purchase Fast Trac? entry passes. Just get to the event early enough and there's not really any waiting through general admission.
One thing to note- all general "floor" seating is on one level- and the seats are basically folding chairs. We stood for the whole event (just like everyone else), because if we didn't we wouldn't have been able to see anything. Also, it looked as though all seating was exposed to the elements, except VIP seating, which was under a canopy and elevated for sight to the stage.
Food and drinks were typically priced, with a better selection and quality, than what we recently experienced at R.F. a few weeks earlier. There were porta-toilets clearly displayed and they seemed to be well maintained.
Lastly, this has nothing to do with H.B., but the t-shirt selection was really uninspired and lacking. The designs were just bland. Too bad.
Emily Wilhite
While there were a lot of things I liked about Northerly Island I was not impressed with the staff or how it was maintained. I get that it is an outdoor venue but the amount of spiders was just too much for this arachnophobe. They had someone walking around before the concert sort of clearing out webs before the show, which made less than zero difference. Worse than that, when I asked about a couple of other maintenance issues, (a garbage can lid literally at our seats and a trail of fecal matter going up the stairs) I was rudely told that he had a whole section to do. He said he had no idea if anyone would take care of that and basically not to ask him. No attempt was made to get on a walkie and ask for assistance or anything else. We wound up not sitting in our seats because there were easily 6 spiders on the railing and our seats were up against the rail. We stood at the top for awhile but again a dozen or so spiders there made us move.
Florence + the Machine put on an amazing show. The stage area was great and visibility was amazing. I loved being able to enjoy the cityscape behind the concert area. The food options were good and not horribly priced. I would probably go back as long as I could get seats nowhere near a railing lol.
Lindsey E. Bates
Alicia Keys concert was the positive love energy needed for that night!
Chris Haen
The chairs here are uncomfortably close, both from side to side and front to back. Closer than any other venue I can recall. Beautiful venue space, however, right on the lake with views of the city.
Remmington VanAllen
Staff was friendly, attentive and assisted me to my seat .when arrived at the seat they asked me if I would be mote comfortable in a different seat as I was cramped with the accquired walker.. Re-ticketed our tickets were was in front row to side. Constantly checked on us. They made sure I had a time of my life. Definitely can't wait for the next concert.
Malieya LiliPop Williams
We were here for the Nickelodeon Slime fest last month.
Huge venue. I’m not sure why they don’t allow umbrellas and sunscreen in the facility but they don’t. So if you bring it you have to leave it outside and get it on your way out. They will sell ponchos on the inside for $10 each! And yes they are the ones that are $1 at the dollar store. Shocker right?
Parking is a complete disaster!! Uber or get s ride to drop you off!!
The seating was very easy to understand. Every seat seemed to be a good view of the stage. I’m not sure if the set up was exclusive to this event. But I recommend the standing section close to the stage. They had two huge monitors for viewing the acts as well.
The food is RIDICULOUSLY OVER PRICED and you can’t bring anything into the park.
Thomas Bock
No complaints here. Really cool venue right by the lake. Have to walk a bit if coming by CTA, but it's totally worth it because it's a beautiful stroll through the museum campus. Concert sound was very good. Wish the ground was sloped more for better stage views, but hey, it used to be an airfield.
L. Royster
Enjoyed the VIP concert experience at the Pavilion--air conditioned stands, a nice buffet, and overpriced drinks. My overall perception of the venue is that it is overpriced--$10 pizza slice. Sit on the ground level if you are going strictly for the concert. The acoustics in the VIP boxes is poor. There are no speakers there.
Christine Kern
Went to a concert with the family this weekend and had a great experience. It isn’t too big so no matter what seat you are in you could see great. Getting to the pavilion from the garage is a bit of a hike but it’s a beautiful walk with views of the lake. It is right on the lake so there is a good breeze.
S Anderson
Getting into the venue was chaotic and disorganized, but once past that it was a breeze. The bartenders were friendly and accommodating, and the lady working the VIP deck on 6/3/22 was an absolute angel. You really can't beat the sunset over the lake behind your favorite band either. One of the better venues I've been to and would enjoy going again!
Brooke Uporsky
Great out door venue! With the beach right behind the venue and the city skyline right the the left of the stage. Had an awesome set up of venders as well at the Thirty Seconds to Mars concert I went to. We even got the chance to move up seats because no one had bought those!
Definitely would go to another concert here again!
Logan French
Great venue. Easy to navigate. Lots of bars around the venue.
Mary Swain
My children really enjoyed the venue. But the issues were ......The things that were said allowed per website snacks , sealed bottled water, and small backpacks. None of those things were allowed. Conveniently there were $10.00 lockers. Which I sure people will use. Because it's quite a hike back to your vehicle. Also they don't accept cash. But again Conveniently they have cash exchange machines. The website should be updated.
Anthony Frank
Good view from section 312; great venue in general. We went to see Rise Against, Descendents, and The Menzingers. The only issues were:
1. The seats areas seems to be where all spiders originate.
2. A few concessions employees that seemed to hate their job and the people there to see the show.
Alexandria Simms
Okay they have the best food and drink options of any stadium, theater, etc hands down. The only thing that I didn't like was their bag process. I stood in line for an hour plus before they told me that I needed to check my bag. Someone should be at the entrance warning guest or include the message in the announcement emails. I did appreciate the announcement/delay emails. Burna Boy was amazing. I had so much fun and was able to quickly leave the venue.
Maureen VanBrooker
Excellent venue. Great food options. Friendly staff. Amazing location. Clean restrooms. Perfect seating. Awesome view! Thank you for making our experience memorable!
Cleveland Smith
This was my first visit to Northerly Island and far from my last! We had a great time in the rain listening to Norah Jones sing her heart out. The sound was great, the view was great, the food and drink options were great and they provided a friendly staff to top off the experience. I highly recommend going to an event here and making some memories.
Kathy Neal
Great venue! Can't believe I finally got to see 5SOS live! They were amazing! Lots of great people and my daughter and I were right up in the pit! Awesome night!
Julie Haferkamp
Gorgeous Chicago downtown city views at Huntington Bank Pavilion! Seen some amazing concerts here and it's always a great time. If you can get the VIP experience, or at least parking - it's worth it!
Katelyn Norris
Very nice venue. Prices of alcohol is pricey and spending $15 a tall boy. But overall very wonderful experience and definitely recommend VIP tickets, very nice sunset view.
Bryant Robinson
Great Venue. The only downside is getting to and from the venue sucks. Also, the drinks are overpriced for what you get
Yadira Booth
First time back in 10 years for Gojira and Deftones and still an amazing place!
Jereme D.
The folding chairs ziptied to each other were too close to be comfortable. People were falling over them or just walking on top of them. Less of these chairs would be nice. Besides the chairs I had a good time.
Marissa Mahoney
Does it get much better than a venue with the city skyline behind the stage? No. Could the drinks and food be a bit more reasonable? Absolutely. But that's Live Nation's issue. Check out a show here, you won't regret it!
Hassan Janjua
Great outdoor pavilion. One of my favorite venues in the city. If my favorite artist is playing here I always try to go there. The view of the city in the background is unreal. Great vibes all around
Chris Miller
Second show at this venue this summer and I have to say I absolutely love it. Beers are expensive, but in line with Chicago pricing. Other alcohol options available (wine and mixed drinks). Shows have a hard stop at 11 so expect the bands to play a close as possible to that time.
Danilo Jahn
Cute venue. You can see the skyline of Chicago in the background. 45 minutes walking distance from McCormick place or China town, 30 min from the Hilton.
The area is rather flat and doesn't offer a good view of the stage other than on a big screen. There is stadium-like seating available. Bring loads of money and a backup to you credit card. Drinks are outrageously expensive $13.75 to $17 for a beer (20oz+).
Scott Shipley
Saw Shakey Graves an a cold blustery Oct 1, nice layout, friendly staff, super selections for concessions. All around great, undiscovered music venue
Chris Abramowicz
Had an opportunity to enjoy a concert here in the VIP box. That was fun and definitely would do it again. It was also welcomed that I could park right on northerly isle with ease. Had some difficulty with the food however. There are no menus. You must scan a QR Code with your phone. Unfortunately, I don't know if it's the fact that they're printed in Grey instead of black, or what, but neither my wife's phone nor mine could scan them. Eventually the light and angle must of been just right so we got to order. Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't seem well prepared, as there were a couple items they said they were out of. Then when we did attempt to order something, the server mistook it for something else, confirmed it with us, he told us something that wasn't even on our menu, but sounded much better. Happy little mistake. We ordered that instead. Unfortunately, again, when it came time to eat, it wasn't what we ordered, but similar, and did have italian beef, which they had claimed to be out of. I think there's room for improvement in the "VIP" food service menu. Drinks were okay. They ran out of several of the beers they had on the list. They just didn't seem prepared for the crowd they regularly have space for or something. Still I'd go back, but they only get 4 stars.
Aaron Warner
The white Claw was $15 for the tall boys, but when you consider that local bars are charging $7, for the little ones it averages out that they're not actually gouging you more than anyone else, so good on ya bank robbers!
John Turnbull
What a great venue for a concert. Right on the lake. Very close to Soldier Field. Plenty of good options for food and they allow you to bring in water bottles and have refill stations. Friendly staff also. Beautiful view of Chicago skyline
Carolyn Chellis
It was a well run facility. Great concert venue but expensive food and drinks. It was relatively far distance to walk to catch a taxi after the show.
Matthew Villareal
Onstage experience is not really worth it. Get in the first 2 rows and you'll enjoy it much better. Other than that, excellent concert experience. I love it here.
Erin Hobe Herman
Breezy, beautiful venue for a show; saw NeedtoBreathe here last night! Folding chair seats in box seats/section 200 were expectedly cozy but helped with the brisk wind that was present last night. Girls, bring a hair tie or clip if you want to actually see the show, LOL. We got a last-minute chance to be in the pit area and it was awesome! Drinks were expensive but also expected to be that way. $9.75 for cheap beer, $13.50 for craft, and $17 for taller, specialty cans. I had a decently-sized cup of red wine for $10. It's all part of the experience, though! We parked on the street (Roosevelt) near Stan's Donuts and the walk was easy. Enjoy your night here!
Fred G
Awesome venue, in it's smaller configuration, they're isn't a bad seat in the place. Great sounds, and right on the beach.
T J
Great venue! On site parking worth the $! Saw Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Paul Oakenfold. Great night!
Ruby George
This is the best place in the city to see a concert. You get a nice breeze from the lake, and an amazing view of the Chicago skyline.
mandy pence
My favorite concert venue. It is very easy to get too and each seat has a perfect view also the skyline and occasional fireworks from Navy Pier depending on the day are a plus too.No obstructed views and great sound quality.Love it!!!
Greg Searcy
Not like the sound of an amphitheater but still pleasant. Lots of lush grassy areas to sit. Had a water house station which was good for wetting a towel to combat the heat. Also lots of porta John's. Nice breeze off the water at night if u escape the crowd.
Jill O'Sullivan
This is a perfectly fine music venue.
Parking is insanely expensive, but it's pretty easy to get to via train/public transportation. The other thing that's horribly expensive here is food and drinks. I get it, it's a music venue in Chicago. I'm not expecting a beer to be $1. But $22 for a mixed drink is insane.
The sound quality is fine. The view is super pretty, with Lake Michigan to one side and the Chicago skyline to the other. It also makes for a nice summer breeze.
The bathrooms are nice and clean, in the long trailers.
Merch lines moved pretty quick and they seemed to have their stuff together.
I recommend skipping on drinks and parking, but enjoying the band and the views.
Tim Witek
Great venue to see a show! Audio is decent and the skyline view in the background is a major plus. Can get a little chilly on summer nights so consider bringing a sweatshirt or light jacket. Food and drinks are at a premium but you can bring in a gallon bag's worth of food and an empty or sealed water bottle to fill at the venue. Public transportation can also get a little tricky if the concert runs later from my experience at a Sunday night show, so look into it ahead of time and have a plan if your show runs late. Don't buy lawn seats or 300 section seats if you want a good view of the stage!
Damaris Rodriguez
Getting into the venue was a bit difficult but it’s a nice spacious outdoor space. Seats are zip tied together which makes it a tight squeeze. My main shoutout goes to the staff who were very friendly and helpful.
Michael Lawler
A fun venue on the old Meigs Field on Lake Michigan in Chicago. You've got a variety of seating available. You'll get your exercise going back and forth to parking but that's healthy. I thoroughly enjoyed Peter Frampton's amazing performance on his final tour with a can't miss opening by Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Evening.
Todd McIntyre, MLD
Had a great time on Day 3 of the Country Lake Shake! The venue was beautiful but all the vendors were ridiculously over priced. $14.75 for a 24 oz can of Bud Light... It should be illegal how much they price gouge. Also, the way that the gate entrances were set up was terrible. For general admission, it took about an hour minutes to get into the venue and I arrived one hour before the first artist.
siewchung wong
Nice venue for a concert. Nice bathroom set ups. Could use better consession stands. Otherwise, will come back again. My morning jacket played a terrific show!
Frizzankle1
Food court workers are all volunteers and they move slower than molasses. There is no coordination between food stations so you can have 5 or more workers standing around doing nothing while 300 plus people are waited on by 5 people. Some of the food counters have 20 registered but at most there will only be 5 open. Plan ahead if you intend on not missing a good chunk of the concert since you will spend way too much time standing in food lines.
J “JROKZ” YARZA
Awesome outdoor venue. Great acoustic sound...seats were plastic but bearable, stood most of the time concert was wicked good. VIP parking totally worth it right next to the venue.
Leslie Landrum
We went online ahead of time to see if bags were allowed. There was no posting about needing a see-through plastic bag, which we were prepared to bring, so we just brought purses. At the gate, we were informed that purses/bags are not allowed. We scrambled at the last minute to accommodate this rule. This rule should be clearly posted on the initial webpage, so that guests can make needed plans!
Jason Martin
Great venue with friendly, efficient staff and beautiful view of Lake Michigan. DMB was great to see here.
megan brown
It's a beautiful place to see a concert, could work on the sound for lawn goers and the exit strategy was not good. They always are trying to improve your experience and that's always good.
Robert J
Awesome venue, awesome view of the city. The only bad part is a warm can of beer costs 14$. It’s ridiculous but other than that the place is a good time
brook escalona
The venue is pretty ! The downside for me was how close the seats were in the 200 sections. The person next to me was practically on top of me :c
So next time i come I'll get pit tickets to avoid that
Liv Kim
We went there for Alicia Keys concert. It was beautiful outdoor venue. Perfect for summer night.
Isabella Lee
Loved the VIP lounge area! The rest of the floor seats are all at the same level so having the elevated area helped us see the second half of the concert
Mike Coker
Great venue. The views of the city as backdrop are amazing! The sound crew was spot on! Plenty of security and friendly staff. Good vendors and varied menu selections.
GrilledWaffle
Fantastic Concert but food venue was not ready during the first 15 to 20 minutes.
Samantha Warren
Acoustics were good, and it was nice to have seats, even though a lot of people were milling around instead of sitting. The bathroom situation waaaaaayyy better than expected- instead of porta potties, the toilets were on trailers, and were actually not disgusting! Bottled water was pricy (5 bucks for a 20oz bottle), but if I'm not mistaken I think I overheard one of the security guards checking people's items in telling a girl that water could be brought in.
Angie R
Seats so close together you're bumping rear ends with strangers. Bathrooms decent setup with the trailers. Sound ok, but poor screen projection (showing nothing or bouncy).
William Marshall
Really cool venue, love being outside, drinks are reasonable. Bathrooms are aplenty!
RayView
Amazing sound no matter where you sit. Awesome venue. The sunsetting behind the stage and city background is wonderful. Staff was professional and helpful. Even the washrooms were clean and quick.
RJ Coleman
Florence & the Machine put on a memorable show on a gorgeous spring evening. Great venue. Nice to see they compost at the venue, and they are moving towards zero waste.
Josh Stell
Saw thirty seconds to Mars here and they were absolutely awesome. The venue itself was nicely sized. I couldn't find any place to get soda though, but every cooler there said Pepsi... Overall, as long as you have good weather you're in for a treat.
Anna Dolezal
Awesome venue but hard to get to and much harder to get out of after a show
Ken Frisby
Very Nice outdoor concert venue. Depends on annual owner or bank. Sections 101 -105 are best. 202- 206 are your next choice. Bleachers 306-312 are ok views. I’ve been in the VIP Double decker seating & funhouse. Clowns 🤡 Pros; 1. It’s under stage style roofing if its sprinkling out. 2. Restrooms 🚽 are close. 3. Liquor & vending are there. 4. The food options are much nicer than the general population. Cons; 1. Not very good view, far back & left side view obstructed. 2. 7/11/18 foreigner concert was an additional $125 per person up charge to your existing ticket prices. 2017 up charge was $60.
Ashley McC.
Great venue. I wish seats were better for 5th row. AWESOME DRINK CHOICES!
Tyler Kuhlman
It was great but I got roofied by someone so I'm gonna bring the rating down to just good.
Alex Lachapelle
Bears game best day ever go Justin fields hell yeah
Miguel Gonzalez
Security is quite a gauntlet to walk and bag requirements are STRINGENT so DO NOT JUST PRESUME you can bring all items inside; egress after the concert is unnaceptable
Joseph Arnezeder
Watched Daughtry and Nickelback Live at the Huntington Bank Pavilion in Chicago. Both are two of my favorite bands. What a great time! The amphitheater is huge and outdoors. The location is amazing, right on the lake. The lighting and sound are second to none. Hope to come back and see another concert in the summer ☺
Paul Shinkle
Lush venue, excellent sight lines. Great support staff. Safe. Good parking. Premium prices on food and beverages.
Janet Oh
My favorite venue in chicago. The parking/uber situation is quite annoying but the beauty of the venue and its surroundings overcomes it all. My favorite shows have all been at this venue. Cannot wait to see Odesza in September!
Jennifer K
Country Lakeshake location! Good sound, clean venue, amazing location.
Veronica Cervantez
Love this place! You can enjoy the Beautiful view of our City. Love coming to concerts here. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Live Nation Rocks!
Justin Higgins
Legit venue! Seen multiple concerts here and look forward to seeing more! This is an outdoors.
Jon Harrington
Shows here are always great but there is poor to no communication if you have other than general admission tickets. We had fan club pit tickets to get in a little early to our show and there was three different lines at our gate. There was only one sign specifying "no bag entry" and employees didn't know it where not saying what line was for different ticket holders.
Ed Rowe
Fantastic Venue! Easy in, easy out. Not a bad seat in the house! Highly recommended.
Rick Hogan
Great place to see a concert. However, $15 for a beer seems a bit outrageous to me.
Suszanne Grinash
Large area and great steage. It is outdoors so make sure to dress for IL weather. The only reason im giving it 4/5 is bc of the price. It's soooo expensive. $5 for a little bag of chips, $12 for 1 slice of pizza.. you get it. It's expensive, I recommend eating before you get there.
Rosie Weppner
Great venue in Chicago! Little fyi.. You cannot bring a bag or purse bigger than a wristlet inside!!
Jessica Bauer
Loved it had a great time while at smilefeast ! Got rained on slimed on ! Stepped on and even had a drink! Just glad my babygirl had a great time it was worth every sore body muscles and joints! We will do it again next year if they come back!
Leslie
This is a beautiful place for a concert, but the venue needs improvement......
PROS: Beautiful views of the skyline of Chicago as you're watching the concert. The breeze off the lake is gorgeous on a hot summer night. You can bring a water bottle in (put your cap in your pocket) and they have a nice filtered water refill station. The VIP parking, which is right next to the Northerly Island is only $5 more then the regular parking, which is about a half mile away.
CONS: Concert parking is $30 and is about a half mile walk (do VIP parking for $5 more). The food and drinks are expensive. The bathrooms are big trailers and have lines (especially the women's). The seats on the main floor are plastic folding chairs zip tied together and the rows are too close together, making it extremely difficult to get to a middle seat. They don't have straws, but you can buy a metal one (not sure of the price). I know, it's for environmental reasons.
Overall, a fair venue. They need improvement to make this place more of a permanent venue.
Chris hynes
Sound is decent but you want 100 level / pit or the 300... 100/Pit is good, 200 level of but flat no elevation, 300 level are elevated, and lawn has zero view of the stage and is flat as well
Billy Lowie
So much fun went to see grey day 2022 and it was crazy the drinks were good, the staff was friendly.
Bobby Ballbuster
Great place for a show! Like the turf they installed, it definitely helped for Lake Shake 2018
Debbi Bloomingdale
I never knew this place existed! Beautiful setting next to the lake.
William Bourdeau
An interesting venue, right by a marina across the bay from Soldier Field. Looks like they threw a stage up in a parking lot. Not far from hotels, I had a nice walk through Grant Park.
Joseph Love
Great place to see a concert....
Tim Garneau
Best concert venue in the Chicagoland area by far. Beautiful views, great stage sightlines, and acoustical sound. Party on the beach before the show! A must go if you like a band that plays there.
Kelly K
Great affordable seats in a location right on the waterfront! All of the staff were very helpful and gave great customer service!
gaetan spurgin
Amazing place to see a show, nestled right between soldier field and Lake Michigan . Highly recommend eating downtown first and then walking to this venue through the park
Ralph M
Great venue .. very scenic with the City in the background!!
Robin Morgan
Great venue for an outdoor concert. Right near great venues such as the Schedd Aquarium.
Scotty Stillman
Pet Shop Boys was awesome! Awesome sound and light shows!!
kevin thorp
Always a great place to see a show. Beer is a little pricey but that's normal for concerts.
Michael Nagel
Great location downtown and an incredible outdoor venue!
Nichelle Middaugh
The 311 concert was there September 10th and it was a great place for a concert. All of the people were really friendly the staff were really friendly. My bf and I will be back there in the future for more shows! 😊 …
teknophelia
Great venue with easy access, bike friendly, and great viewing from all over the place. Beers are expensive as hell but it's a pretty excellent overall.
Nicole Argudin
Nice venue for a concert. It is right off the lake so you get a nice breeze and an amazing view of the Chicago skyline. I recommend getting seats around the 308-9 range because you get a nice view of the stage. Anymore right and it's hard to see the stage.
Food and drinks are overpriced though so I recommend eating ahead of time and same for things like water bring your own bottle (alcohol and other drinks are not allowed to bring into venue). Also bring bug spray and sunscreen because you get hit by the sunset. After that nice venue!
Steven H
Great sound quality and ambience! I don't recommend lawn seats if you are really interested in seeing the stage at all however. Thankfully they have a screen to make up for that. Drink prices are also very high, but that's pretty standard for most venues.
Rob Grzymala
Great Venue, so long as you're close. Lots of expensive beer to pick from!
G Castro
Awesome venue for concerts! As expected, drinks and food are very expensive.
Ashley Harley
Attended Kanye Sunday Service and had an amazing time! The weather wasn't great, but the venue and the event were!
Paul Smith
No lawn,? Maybe they change the venue based on how many tickets sold
Katrina Gen21
Great concert venue! There really aren't any bad seats, sound quality is awesome. Of course, vendor prices are high (but that's to be expected). Breeze off the lake, helpful staff and clean bathrooms. There really isn't anything not to like!
Dave Tipp
Saw 5 seconds of Summer here. Not a bad venue. Lots of room
Jodi Hurd
Fabulous venue!
Wendy Murphey
While the area is beautiful, since Huntington took over management of this venue prices have gone up by almost 100%. It is still one of the most lovely places to see a concert, but be prepared to pay much more for a decent view and $$$ for food and drinks. There is a station for filling water bottles and you may bring your own (sealed) disposable bottle or (empty) refillable bottle - they also allow snacks in clear zip-lock bags. If you plan to park nearby, arrive early and purchase your parking in advance if possible (it's more expensive the day of the event and the price varies depending on other nearby events).
britney llewellyn
Don't sit in 307 or 308. It looks as if it'd be elevated but it's not so you can't see anything. I paid extra for trash seats.
Michael Bauknecht
Maren Morris is fantastic live
Lisa
Cool concert venue! Right on the lake. Bathrooms are in trailers with flushing portajohns. Drinks are pricey but that's too be expected for a concert venue. Parking is kind of hectic. Not much of a difference between pricing for VIP & Regular. There's handicap risers. GA is a nice option if you're there to move around. The furthest seats back are under a canopy but the rest is open. I wouldn't say there's a bad seat in the place.
Torrance Anthony
Great outdoor space located right next to Lake Michigan, the Planterium and Shedd Aquarium. Great for concerts and enjoying a cool breeze.
Elysian Dreams
Excellent outdoor venue for concerts. It's not too big nor too small which is awesome because no matter where your sitting you can enjoy the music. I love the location of this venue because the beach is a right across the road as well as Field Museum. The food & drink options were very pricey but that's the nature of the beast. There were bathrooms scattered (some clean, some not) all around the venue which is a BIG PLUS for me because when I drink alcohol, it goes right through me.
Erin Zamojski
First time attending a concert at Northerly. It was decent. General admission standing space is huge. The seating areas are way to far from the stage to be worth paying for. Handicapped seating was available without special ticketing & much better viewing options.
Vince Estep
Have been here a few times for concerts. It's a beautiful location, especially when the sun is setting. Always getting a nice breeze from the lake. Although it is outdoors, the sound quality and loudness is great.
Nocturnalife
Over the summer we saw Cheap Trick, Heart and Joan Jett. They were all fabulous!!
Our seats ended up being right on a walk path that everyone entering walked down.
Food lines were long, with ridiculously long waits. Eat before you go! And take an unopened bottle of water in with you, 1 per person is allowed.
We paid for premium parking, highly recommend it.
We will definitely return, but we checked out other areas we'd be interested to sit in next time.
They also have the nice air conditioned trailer restrooms. So nice, all venues should have these.
Quinn McColly
We were there for a kids festival/concert (Nick Slimefest). Overall the lines/crowds weren't bad but that may have related more to the turnout of the show.... we had some rainy weather and the sod gets very water logged and fairly muddy pretty fast. Stage setup and grandstands were nice and they do a nice job of how they handle food vendors. Getting there.... we cabbed over from Michigan, but drivers don't always want to go all the way down the road into the bottleneck so we jumped out and took bike rickshaw thing. It was about 20 bucks from the field add that to the cab ride and you are at about the same cost as the parking lot. The lot is super-close, but I imagine tough to get out of if you stay at the show until the end. Gate/security folks were friendly and overall we had a good experience. I would go back.
Steve Popdan
Best outdoor concert venue in Il. Right on the lake , always nice and cool at night. small, not a terrible seat in the house, mostly GA. See 311 every year, usually wins there 2 or 3 times a season. Great Venue, beer was $17 this year, getting out if hand with that
Christopher Rhone
Kind of bottle-necked with only one entrance, but a nice open venue with great scenery.
Mitchell Gordon
It was okay. Layout seemed off and actually seeing the concert was harded than needed. Seemed more like a listen and chill place than watch a concert. Still great because it is outside on the lake with great views but if layout were to be changed would be 5 stars all the way.
Rachael Jalbuena
Open air Ampitheatre great for summer time concerts.
Michael Marciano
This is THE spot for summer shows. We have been here for many different shows and even if the place is packed there is always a good view. The drinks are way over priced and the food is basic, but the bathroom's are decent, always clean. Getting here can be difficult, best is to walk in from Michigan Ave unless you want to fork over $$$ for a taxi or pedi cab.
P Moore
This was my first time attending an event here, I was extremely surprised at what a wonderful time I had. First of all it's an outdoor venue so I was apprehensive about mosquitoes and the restroom situation, but let me just say not one problem with either. Somehow no issue with annoying flying bugs, not one mosquito bite and I did not have on any repellant. Extremely pleased that in addition to the port a potty, they had separate women and men air conditioned restroom trailers with about five or six stalls that flushed, an actual working sink with running water to wash your hands, complete with a mirror so us ladies could touch ourselves up if needed. Plenty of refreshment stands available which are about average in price, every seat has a good view of the stage, plus for this event the jumbotron was used. I will definitely be attending more events here.
Joshua Daily
Do not get lawn tickets! You won't be able to see much and you will be standing for a long period of time. Be prepared to walk nearly a mile to and from the concert when taking public transportation or ride shares.
The lake front views are really nice though.
Meg
one of my favorite outdoor concert venues.
Roman Budek
Excellent place to see a concert. Surrounded by water, so most nights you get a beautiful breeze off the lake. Concessions and bathroom lines are very reasonable wait compared to other venues.
Charles Dinwiddy
What a venue!!! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!! I come here really often with my friends, let me tell you the organization is top of the line, really professional people and security crew, never make you feel like you an outsider, at the concert you feel like part of big family. The speakers are with great sound from another dimension, overall the lightning and sound have to take a number one place across the country, believe me I have been going often out of state, but anyway this memories giving me chills right now, what a place! Love to getting lost in crowd singing here for sure! I’m out, you have a blessed day, aloha!:)
Teresa Kern
It was mine and my kids' 1st time going to this venue (to see Charlie Puth) and we LOVED it! The lake and city views are amazing! The sound was a lot better than expected for an outdoor event. The facilities were very nice with ample clean bathrooms (in trailers that didn't feel like porta-potties). We had to eat at the venue and was expecting outrageous prices, but they weren't terrible and the portions were big. We shared 2 burgers (which were GREAT) and fries between 3 people for $26. I would suggest getting the stadium style seating in the 300 sections, it gives you a clear view of the stage. Also, there were food stands and bathrooms behind the 310-311 sections that not many people go to, so it' s less crowded. Only one merch stand was a bummer, but overall it was a great experience! We are going back in September to see NEEDTOBREATH and Johnnyswim!
Eric Robbins
Great venue to see a concert. We biked in and avoided the hassles of driving, commuting and walking. The sound was excellent for an outdoor facility. The one not unsurprising surprise was the cost of a 20 ounce beer, $13. We saw Dave Matthews and had a great time!!
Briana Barrales
It was my first time ever coming to this venue about a month ago and I loved it. Its not too big so wherever you stand or sit you get a very nice view of the stage. I would highly recommend getting the vip parking because it's right in front of northerly island and you won't have to walk super far and getting out is really fast. I can't wait to go see more shows there.
Dane Holmes
Concerts there are fun and the venue is small and personal. Lawn tickets however are a joke, you can't see anything and they are not worth it at all! Spend the money and get a seat, you won't regret it. The HUGE downside is leaving the concerts is a mess. To get a cab you have to walk over a mile so be ready. And if you parked good luck leaving anytime soon.
Derek Such
Fun venue for music! My wife and I went here to see Farm Aid in 2015. The venue was nice and spacious, plenty of room to spread out. There was nice views of the city and the sound was good as well. The downside was that because it is flat the sight lines are not that good if you are further back. Parking not super convenient but there is ample parking in walking distance.
Robert Svoboda
Nice venue! Not a bad seat in the place. Nice view of the Chicago skyline to the west, and Lake Michigan to the east. Beer is expensive.
Martin Leal
First time there and really like the place will definitely be back.
Valerie Baker
I enjoyed the park. The layout is good. I had a good view of the stage even with seats in the back. There were several areas to buy food and drinks, which I didn't. They have on public bathroom with 2 stalls, very basic and not the cleanest, which is right before you go into the park on the right. They also had several trailers with portable toilets. I didn't use them. Also what I did not know is that they will not let you bring your umbrella in the park. So even if its raining they take it along with any opened bottles. I had an half drank water bottle and they threw it away. Also you can't leave the park and come back.
Arnita Mouhcine
This is a great venue, went to see a concert here
Steve martinez
My first time here . It was small , but it makes for a nice view in the seats . Sound was good . Of course prices for beer are $13.75 , thanks Chicago taxes . I paid the $35 for.parking cause I'm handicapped and couldn't walk a mile from the $10 parking spot , thanks again Chicago. My real only complaint about the seats was there were spiders everywhere on the railings , seats , under the seats . They really need a crew to go thru and give a quick clean to the seats before an event . We watched spiders climb on a girls.head in the box seats in front of us . I really do not know where the bathrooms were , maybe behind the stands ? I used the handicapped one right next to us . Was actually really clean and hardly.any wait for it .
Robert Runnels
You want a $20 beer, average sound, and a great view!? Go no further this is your spot.
Tim Kollasch
Great venue for a show. The music sounded incredible ! Also helps when you have Greta Van Fleet rocking the house. PHENOMENAL!!
David Reuter
Fun place for a concert right on the lake, with a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline. Not a huge stadium, so it s a little bit more intimate. Food and beer is way overpriced.
Kara Anderson
It is a good venue and not too small. Its a good size for a huge festival like northcoast. I saw a lot of clean up crews keeping it clean which is nice. The problem is getting an uber afterwards and the bathrooms and horrible not upkept and so stinky! For a venue of its size they do pretty good accommodating!
Elijah E Collins
Not my 1st time here, I love the venue... being able to soak up the sun as you see your favorite performers is a great feeling. I hate the parking and food prices but its expected. 30-50 bucks for parking. Drinks 17-20 bucks per cup.
Mary Kehoe
Beautiful spot for a concert. Visited for a 3 day country music festival. Downside, not easy to get to especially if there is an event at Soldiers Field. No permanent cover available should a storm whip up.
Zakee Goliak
Clean restrooms, did not eat there, so can't judge. Plastic seats for the 100 section in front of stage were not comfortable. They tried to zip tie the seats together to keep rows, many were broken however.
Our concert was delayed due to weather, but once that passed they managed to clean up and open on the new time. There was little communicated about the opening after the initial guess on when it would be opened. Also the initial guess was sent just 1 hour prior to the original start, not bad for me, a 30 minute walk, but those driving from far were forced to fund somewhere else to hide. Met people from 1.5 hour Southwest that luckily were able to go to aquarium while they waited.
All in all, not the greatest concert venue, but I usually buy lawn seats, the place hasn't got any, unless you want to just free load just south in the lawn I guess.
PJ L
I love being outside and on the lake. Good sound. Beer can be pricey, but that's to be expected. Parking is roughly $30. I wish it was just general admission. If you don't pay to be in the pit, your seat will be a ways back from the stage.
Jessica Colburn
Really nice place to see a show. Right on the lake front and a smaller venue. I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. The skyline and breeze off the lake is awsome. The staff were all so nice and helpful. And the food was the best I have ever had at a concert !
Mark Johnson
We attended the Peter Frampton concert, the concert was fantastic!
If you're not tall, the center seats may not be a good idea, they're all at the same level, so with tall people sitting or standing in front of you, the view will be obstructed. In that case, the bleacher seats on the sides are a better choice.
Terri Tihlarik
I attended the Rob Thomas/Counting Crows concert. Great concert. Venue is at a great location and the night was just beautiful.
Having said that, we had VIP seats. They have a SERIOUS SPIDER PROBLEM. There were huge black spiders everywhere. Crawling over the seats, dropping from the ceiling right onto you, crawling on your feet and legs.
We asked to be moved and were told there was no where in the VIP section that did not have spiders and they were right. We left our seats and stood for the entire concert. Spiders somehow managed to find us no matter where we went.
These seats cost $125.00 per seat. They should at least warn people when you buy the seats what you are up against. What if you were allergic and got bit by one!
I would go back, just not to the VIP section.
Also, a beer ranged anywhere in price from $12.50 to $17.50!!!
Maeghan Conley
A wonderful surprise!! Great venue for the summer. No bad seat in the whole place and it's very chill as you can cruise around with your drink and still see and hear the show.
Yvette Lucas
This venue was great for a first time visitor. Finding the parking was easy and they provide signing and people to direct you to yourparking area. Inside the venue was like a fair. With so many different foods and drinks that or alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They also had kettle corn and coffee stand that made frappuccinos or lattes. Sitting was great, I saw no areas that would be obstructed and the pit area you could go right up to the stage. I'm hoping to attend another event there this summer.
Emily Wagner
Easy to maneuver and loved our show. Choose seats closer to the middle if you can though because the sides are a little further over than the tickets make it seem and it's a bit hard to see everything. Sound quality was fantastic though!
Ron Essany
This place and the Aragon are my two favorite Chicago venues. Two great places but the outdoor atmosphere is always breathtaking. If you've never been, I highly recommend it. Only annoyance is the constant name change. Stop selling it!
Cearra Williams
Great Show. Buy parking pass in advance when you buy tickets. General Parking is the same exact price when you arrive. It sucks because the seats are floor level. Besidea bleachers. The closer to the stage the better. Wasn't bad.
bridgette white
Awesome concert venue. Super easy to get to, parking a bit expensive but convenient and close to all the great Chicago museums that you know you should be visiting more frequently. Great concert space right on the lakefront.
Rich Landgraff
Huntington Bank Pavilion is an example of fitting a square peg in a round hole.
When Megis Airfield was closed the City of Chicago found itself with a large patch of lake front property some distance from beaches and residents of the city. No angry people besides the harbor boaters.
Now everyone wants to hold their event in the lake front parks and they are over taxed with events. Now they built the Harris Theatre at Monore St for dance. Why not a designated venue for pop music.
So there it is Northerly Island and the "fill in the blank" Pavilion. Man made peninsula in the lake and isolated.
That's the first problem. About a mile walk from the Soldier Field Parking garage and it's $30.00 fee. Now a small lot is closer for $35.00 but fills quickly. Pedal carriages are available and quite colorful.
Entrance through security is common to all outdoor music menus.
Snack stations are over worked but a nice arrangement of concert fare.
Many liquor booths and specialty drinks. Numerous liquor vendors toam the seating area.
They have some of the designated trailer hard wall washrooms with running water and sinks. Heads above the chemical tank portables of our childhood.
The stage and supporting lighting with displays and video background is framed by video screens.
Sound was clear and not over done. It can get washed out by the wind. But not on July 31, 2019.
Seating. Those damn folding chairs that are not wide enough to fit an adults shoulders let alone someone of large statue. The chairs are tied together with plastic ties and keeps it snug. The rows are only wide enough to allow (with difficulty) for those in need of the restroom to bump their way through.
All that said. This menu is meant for people loving crowds that are going to stand all night in mosh like conditions while dancing and vocalizing with or with out self induced intoxicating substances.
What a outdoor pop music venue was meant to be with a big plus from the lake front location. And a few hardships.
Dave Stedman
Nice small venue to see concert. The food and drinks are way over priced $22 for a beer is ridiculous parking was $35 you're better off parking somewhere else and taking a lift there. Would definitely visit there again but would drink and eat prior to getting there
Kimberly Mogan
I was pleasantly surprised at this venue. I have visited MANY venues and theres always some issues weather lack of restrooms, overcrowding from selling too many tickets, not enough food/refreshment vendors, etc. But not only were there plenty of food/drink vendors (although very pricey) there were also other vendors selling things, advertising their businesses, games to play before the concert started, etc. Also, the restrooms. OMG I wish every venue that uses porta pottys used these. Trailers with stalls that they kept spotless and fully stocked but best of all VERY well air conditioned. So very important and a real luxury on steamy hot days. As for seating, I dont think theres a bad seat in the place. I am taking a star off due to an issue we had not once, twice, not even 5 times but 6 separate times in 4 hours. I have MS, as well as knee and back issues. It's very hard for me to take stairs and sit in some seats so we always pay extra if required, or go the extra steps to get ADA compliant seating. When we showed our ticket to the section usher he showed us our seats but people were in them. He asked us again to see our tickets and confirmed that they were indeed in our seats. They asked them for their tickets and they said they didnt have any. They had wristbands. They said they went to guest services when they got there because of a recent injury and was given wristbands and told to sit anywhere they wanted. They didnt want to move but my husband said "If we give them our seats and sit elsewhere, when the people come for the seats we are sitting in then we have to move again and possibly not have seats. So he said no, we will be sitting in our seats. Since there was so much conversation and confirmation we figured that we wouldnt be questioned again but the same man asked us again for proof of our right to be in that area when we went to the restroom 10 minutes later. We showed him and said "I cant believe you dont remember us from 10 minutes ago" and he said he did but wanted to confirm again we were suppose to be there since we didnt look handicapped. I blew it off and went and sat down. 3 more times we had staff ask to see our tickets and asked WHY I was in the area and to confirm my disability, which is illigal to ask my disability. By this time I was quite upset because it caused the ladies who were initially in our seats to start talking LOUDLY to others saying we werent suppose to be there and made them move. That we were healthy people taking seats from legitimate handicapped people. We tried to blow it off but the tension was high. Once the main performer came on stage 2 women staff members came and stood at the corner of our section. Midway through the 2nd song one came over to me and asked to see my tickets and to please explain why we were in that section. I had finally had it and told them I would be filing a complaint with the ADA administration, the venue, and contacting my attorney for harrassment. That 6 times proving my right to sit in seats we paid for due to a disability I did NOT have to disclose caused tension and distrust from the others in our section and in fact had caused them to call us names. I made my husband once again show our digital tickets then because I was highly upset at this point dumped my bag of medications out onto the floor and yelled to everyone calling us names that I had MS, degenerative disk disease, bone on bone knees, body wide arthritis, and would love to be without it so would anyone like to.switch with me. Then I told the woman that this would be the last time I would prove my right to be there before I would be requiring a full refund as well as the costs we incurred coming there be reimbursed as well as filing suit with my attorney. We were left alone after that but the tension among the other guests really hindered our enjoyment of the concert, which was sad considering what the concert was (Peter Framptons farewell tour due to his medical condition) I still loved the venue and things otherwise was great and that's why I still gave 4 stars. Would have been 5
Lori
What can I say about this place except FABULOUS. My friends and I go in the summer for the V103 Block Party. The line up is fantastic, the drinks are great and the people come to have a good time. The seats not so great but you can't have every thing.
Steve Weissmann
The smaller venue offers great sound and all seats are good here. However, the plastic chairs suck and it would be nice if the better seats had a pavilion roof in case of rain.
Andrew Driscoll
Great venue, but four stars for expensive parking and beverages. Sound is great there, plus the setting couldn't be more beautiful. Overlooks Burnham Harbor, Solider Field and the Chicago Skyline. Since it's right next to Lake Michigan, there is usually a breeze which keeps it cool and mosquito-free.
Vinod Kalathil
One of the best places in Chicago to watch a concert - especially outdoors. If possible, try and get seats on the floor. One of the big problems with the stands is that the wind off the lake can distort the sound. The staff there are extremely friendly and for most concerts will let you wander around a bit and also get close to the stage sometimes.
Jessica Markey
Fantastic sight for a concert. Great backdrop of Chicago behind stage. I use a wheelchair and they had a ton of ADA seating and nice amount of ADA bathrooms. Well done Northerly. I'll be back soon.
Vanessa Vega
Perfect location, great views and sound. Pricey beer but worth it!
sachiko
Primus was on fire 🔥 Great sound. Closer The better. Overheard it was hard to hear from the lawn area. The pit is the way to go, make sure you get a bracelet to get in there. Great staff/security. $7 water, $13.75 beer. Take public transportation to avoid all traffic drama and expensive parking. On the way back, I got on Bus 146 at the stop near the planetarium to the train station. Nice to geek out about the band with other fans on the bus 🤘. Grinned all night after seeing my favorite band ever sound fantastic.
Melissa Moreno
Pretty location on the lake, but was disappointed with the location of our box seats.
William Donald
Couldn't have a better location for a venue. But the venue itself is weird. Close seating is just folding chairs zip-tied together. Bathrooms are in a trailer or just Portajohns. I haven't sat in the lawn but it looks like it would suck here. View of the city is amazing though.
Miguel Arroyo
Nice out door venue. Staff is great. Every seat is a good seat at the venue.
Ivan Semenenko
Was there for a first time after pandemic. Great experience, nice location.
Kristina Dehlin
This is one my favorite concert venues of all of Chicago. It has a beautiful view of the beach and the skyline. It's outdoor so you can really see the lit up city at night during concerts and sometimes get a glance of the fireworks over at Navy Pier. The venue is larger than a typical general admission venue but is more intimate than big stadiums so literally every seat has a great view. They also let you bring in cameras and unopened water bottles. I would definitely see another concert there.
Lauren Meltzer
This is the best outdoor venue. Not only do you watch a concert you have been anticipating for a while, but they view is amazing. While looking at the stage, the backdrop is the Chicago skyline. What more could you want?! Also, behind you is Lake Michigan. This location is just unbelievable for a concert. The only downside is when it rains, there is NO shelter, good luck. Overall I love this venue and recommenced it, in the spring and summer.
CeCe Wilder
The concert was amazing, seating is questionable. Unless you are in the bleachers or very 1st or 2nd row, you will not see anything because concert goers stand up the moment the artist hits the stage.
Vee M
Overpriced tickets. Uncomfortable seats. Disgusting restroom facilities. Terrible arrangement. Sound system was very meh. You would do better just listening from other parts of the museum campus, maybe make it a picnic, and save ALL your money.
Seth Anderson
Venue is absolutely amazing. Limited seating (and I would advise against any that are not in the bleachers), but when the sun is going down, you have the light breeze off the lake and the Chicago skyline as a back drop to the stage!
mattcowling
Great intimate concert experiance. I have seen Styx, Foreigner, Nickelback, Joan Jett and others here and each was an absolute great time. One thing they could upgrade is the bathrooms - as they are in mobile outhouse units, but that is better than the urine troughs at other venues...Good times
Betsy Thompson
Seeing your favorite band play live with the Chicago skyline behind them is one of the coolest experiences. This small, underrated venue hosts some big name acts, as well as smaller ones. I've sat in seats near the stage and in the bleachers and enjoyed some great shows.
The bathrooms are a step up from port-a-potties, in that they are mobile units (as of 2011 when I was there last), but it could be worse. Concession stands and a couple bars are scattered around the pavilion as well.
Danielle Graziana
concerts and venues .. bring a good memories and feelings. love it every time i come and visit this place . it is so organized and taking care of. nice spot to spend with your boyfriend .. i was dancing my feet out if you know what i mean ... amazing times makes me want to go back and repeat it again and again. take a sweater in case it would get chilly . thank you for this spot. chao
Sherri Ding
Beautiful Chicago backdrop! VIP parking is only $5 more and is totally worth it, though the walk from Soldier Field was not too bad either. Refreshments are a little high so be prepared to spend some money. All in all a very positive experience!
Dora Aguilar
I went to go see Paramore. Overall the venue is pretty decent. The only bad problem was that the chairs had spiderwebs and even spiders. It would had been nice if they had cleaned them before concert.
Andy Gilleand
Music was good and loud, but the sun was right in my face at sunset and the chairs were really cramped, almost impossible for people to get in or out. A lot of the chair numbers had fallen off as well, making it hard to find my seat. Within walking distance of a lot of places though, which is nice.
Jessica Esparza
Saw Thirty Seconds to Mars here for the first time. It was incredible. Very nice venue. Never been there before either and it was such a nice location. Lots of food and drink options and it was easy to get to with CTA. Definitely would go again.
rick dudney
What a venue right next to Lake Michigan beautifully set up not too big nice and cozy
Francisco Diaz
I really enjoy this venue when it comes to seeing shows especially during the summer. During the summer you'll always get a nice breeze and see an amazing view of the Chicago skyline while checking out your favorite band.
Brendan Walsh
Venue has been improved to become quite a bit bigger. Bigger stage and light setup Large GA standing area in the front (absolutely necessary for a good music show) and then the other seats all have good views. You can tell it's Live Nation owned as the drink and food prices are insane, including water.
It's a solid place to see a show but the scheduled lineup ranges from amazing to awful has beens, which definitely knocks it down from 4 stars. If you favorite band is there go.
Anthony Ramirez
A bit out of the way, but still way easier to get to then say Allstate Arena or what used to be Tweeter center. Great skyline views. Okay for an outdoor concert venue, but sound definitely leaks out and there is a beach right behind it that you can easily get to. Great on a summer day/night if you don't have the funds and can make a picnic out of it.
Justin Harding-Hoffman
Great venue. Had an amazing time with an amazing woman.
James Cusack
Great venue and great performance- Lake Shake rocks!
Lavinia Redmond (The Freckled Afrikan)
All seating is outside. Seats are small, extremely close together (noooo elbow room), and weak. Get there hours early to park nearby. Can not bring umbrellas in past check point. If u park (probably 20 to $25) far, prepare to walk or hitch a ride on a bus trolley(not sure the cost, I think free or very cheap), or a bike haul (a bit pricey-these guys take cash and credit, please tip them. they are friendly funny upbeat and they provide music...fun).
Jeff Neiman
It is a great venue for outdoor concerts. The food was quite expensive for just better than average taste. Drinks are pretty expensive as well. Overall we had a fun night of live music.
Julie W
2019 country lake shake has been amazing!! Only thing that needs a little fix is the pickup location after a concert..2.5 miles up the lake shore, just to be able to come back 1.7 miles from the actual starting point at the gate back to our hotel..plus Lyft drivers are not as understanding when it's your first time using the app... to get to the lake shake
Sarah Enderle
Love coming here for concerts. There isn't a bad seat in the venue. Food and drinks are good. They have air conditioned bathrooms. And the view of the city! 😍 …
Kelly Spreitzer
Venue is fantastic. I highly recommend upgrading to the VIP club if you have the chance. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly. This is the concert venue of choice in the Chicagoland area.
Steve McFate
Fantastic Venue beautiful setting on the Lake everything accommodating and well thought out from vendors to bathrooms to seating. Great views of the stage from everywhere. So much better than Tinley Park
Danil Khrustov
Great venue for concerts. Can't beat the view near Northerly Island. On-site parking available for $35. Convenient drop off lanes for uber/lyft/taxis. Great selection of food and drinks. Un-ironically enjoyable Guy Fieri food stand.
Ken Kreterfield
Alicia Keys ... Awesome
Anthony
Beautiful venue with a nice view of the city skyline
Justin Worley
Great cover venue
Bill Junkin
Saw 5 seconds of summer, awesome concert and venue.
Gage McCoy
Great experience overall! The outside atmosphere was perfect. Saw Gorillaz live here! Sound was loud! My only cons to this venue are drink prices and routing traffic in and out of the venue is a bit unorganized.
Kieran Stuck
A very decent outdoor venue. I'm giving 5 stars for the place's security. Head security guard Mike is the best. Him and his entire crew were very polite and respectful, kept the front floor area safe, and made sure everyone around was able to have a great time. I know many of us Phish phans wished that Mike was heading security at every show! Thanks again to you and your staff Mike!!
Sandy Geethu
Warm weather makes the place best to visit
Bill Daker
Great time as always! Excellent time and amenities.
David Reger
Great place to see a concert! Been here several times and every show makes for a great evening!
Edna Tymick
Average music venue with outstanding views of the Chicago skyline. The seats were uncomfortable, the beer was overpriced and the sound system could be better. Restroom facilities were plentiful but not very nice.
Sir Piggy
What a great place to see Tedeschi Trucks Band and The Black Crowes. never enjoy the show on an island before or peninsula whatever you want to call it it was a great backdrop for the shows definitely have to give this venue five stars wish they had better parking are buses running out there when it was over would like to return again and see another show here.
Mary D'Andrea
What stood out to me and made for a great experience at HBP was that security actually enforced the no moshing or crowdsurfing rule. Both of those acts can be very disruptive to those who want to view and enjoy the show, so, the venue won me over by enforcing the rules. My only complaint is about the drink prices, which range from $13.50-$30.00. However, water is only $5.00, which is reasonable. I will definitely return to Huntington Bank Pavillion in the future.
mark buczko
This is a great venue for a summer concert. We saw Peter Frampton and really enjoyed the show. There are plenty of vendors and restrooms and the sound system is great.
Michael Smith
Show started 45 minutes late, lots of empty seats for a rock and roll legend, sound wasn't great, seating close to the stage wasn't great (seats were just plastic folder chairs, nicer seats were further back in the stadium seating under the tent). Prices for food and drinks were some of the highest I've seen outside of Lollapalooza or festivals.
Laura S
My first experience at Northerly Island perhaps wasn't my favorite. I was at the 3 Phish shows in July. The place was packed. I go back a month later for Umphrey's McGee/STS9 and what a different feel the venue has when it is not sold out and with 20,000 extra people on the lawn. I now understand what my friend meant when she said they "ruined it" by adding space for so many extra people. The walk from the parking lots is extreme. Shuttles would be nice. Strict "no tailgating" policy in the museum campus parking structure. Be warned. I'll go back, but maybe not for a big show.
Carl Arndt
Great venue for a concert!
Bryant Sanchez
I've enjoyed all my concerts here. Can't wait to go again! I love getting some snacks while waiting in line from this small place right next to the lake.
Steve Wang
Best views of the city and right in the middle of so many things happening in Chicago especially over the summer.
blackhawk81
Well-managed venue. Parking and food/drinks are overpriced but that's to be expected. I have been here a few times and I enjoy going because there's a nice view of the sunset, skyline, and lake around the venue.
Nicole Smith
Paid parking, public bathrooms, the vip bathrooms are nice. There is food and beverage vendors, cash and credit cards accepted, there is an atm, Live music, and the beach is right behind it. The upper vip is great for views but it's a lot more windy and colder than the lower vip.
Daniel Fuhrman
Great venue, was there for Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds. Lines to get in weren't bad at all and vendors were very fast. Had a drink immediately after getting through the ticket gate.
Bryan Justin
Nice outdoor venue. I've been there before to see Paramore many years ago. The security staff was amazing in sticking up for me with girls who tried using an ADA accesible bathroom when they shouldnt have.
Midniight Sun
This is my second show here and I love it!!
Xavier Hernandez
Very nice and spacious concert venue
Cassie Robledo
The venue is great! Beautiful on a nice day because you can see the skyline. Seats are organized, had a good view even from the back
Macayla Lenzi
Love this venue!! Can be a little windy at times due to the location, but you have a beautiful view of the city skyline and the sound quality is amazing!!
Jonathon Holland
It was great. Beer is pricey, but it's tall boy cans. They also have craft beer, and wine or even mixed drinks. Could see it getting cold and windy on some September night's, but it was warm this night.
Kathy G.
The best outdoor concert venue!
Clean, enough restrooms (also clean), many food beverage booths, great sound and the staff were ALL friendly.
Grant Greenberg
Gorgeous venue, lots of fun. Decent sound quality. Sightly expensive drinks, but tickets were pretty cheap, so it all evens out
Michael Cruz
Great show setting just off the lake but seats were too congested and diminished enjoyment of otherwise wonderful musical event!
Brandi Wright
Great concert venue, always a fun place! Jist make sure you get there early enough to deal with parking and walking to the venue, that's the only downfall.
Ute McIntosh
A beautiful place to watch any music venue. Between the views of the city, views and breeze of the lake, this place makes every concert a magical experience.
Ken Jennings
Pretty good venue for a concert. The layout is a little awkward and the sections aren't marked very clearly, but once you find your spot, there isn't a bad seat in the place.
Diana C
Awesome venue with spectacular views of the Chicago skyline
Kevin Conroy
I always love coming to concerts here. Took off one star cause they made us all funnel out of one exit on the far side (by the lake) which was a disaster. please open both sides to exit
Michael Sharp
Nice outdoor venue for a concert. Well staffed, plenty of vendors to reduce the lines, decent faclities.
Eelco van Wijk
Nice outdoor pavillion. Not great for ride share pickup after...
Judy Zimmerman
Great place for a concert.Walk along Lake Michigan prior to show. Good food venues and seating. I love coming back here every summer!
Giovanni Chernobil
Norah Jones Concert. Very well organized and safe place!!!
Michael Johnston
Ok place to see a show. It was a parking lot.
Michael Coulter
Very cool venue with amazing views of Chicago!
Getting to and from the pavilion can be hard. Expect backed up traffic and maybe leave the venue before the mass exodus to snag an uber/lyft.
Khia
It's a great location for events. It has a great of downtown and the lake. Very spacious venue. Perfect for a stroll and a picnic. Overall, a satisfactory space.
Ruby George
This is my favorite concert venue ever. The views of the city and the lake are fantastic, and the further back you sit the better the acoustics are!
Natasha M Barrett
The crowd was huge
The venue staff was prepared
A good array of food snd drinks choices
They're are pricey
The tickets are pricey too
However you'll still enjoy yourself
The panoramic views of the city are to great describe
You must experience it
This is my first time here
Thanks to my sister
Todd Johnston
Decent venue. Go with general admission tickets or upgrade to VIP. At all costs, avoid the plastic folding chairs or get comfortable sitting hip to hip with 10k of your closest friends
Denise Dunaway
It was a beautiful venue. Could see the skyline as well as the lake. We will be back!
Mark Willis (Willis Tower)
Very cool place to have a show. Beautiful views and right by the lake. Highly recommended. Wish more bands would play there though.
Phil McGuire
Small and views are great. Seating a bit cramped and drinks were way too much. Eat and drink off site before concert.
Bryan Gay
Cool place to see a show. Beer and food prices are outrageous but that's par for the course in that area. We had seats in the 200 area with a great view of the stage.
Trav K
It was an amazing venue with lots of food venders and seating. The best part was the sound quality of the concert. Fantastic.
Chase
Amphitheater with a beautiful backdrop of the entire Chicago skyline!
Ayrrielle Nelson
Crowded and kind of smelly in certain areas. But not a bad place, its decent. Tells you what concerts are coming up on posters on the ground as you walk its cute.
Keshava Mysore
a place that's at the very heart of museum campus of Chicago, a great place to have a wonderful time at any time of the year! also a great place to bird during spring/fall migration and as well in winter. also a remarkable place to photograph the downtown Chicago skyline.
Angel De Fina
This intimate outdoor venue on Lake Michigan has killer sound and can't be beat. The entire Chicago skyline can be seen from any seat in the house! Favorite outdoor venue in the city, hands down.
Ron Stern
Nice venue if you have main floor seats. Kind of a pain to get to. We parked far but got Divi bikes and rode there!! Best move of the day!!
Joe Degnan
One of the best summer venues in the city
Alivia Shook
Once we got in the venue and to our seats, it was awesome! The view of Chicago is top-notch. We saw the Backstreet Boys in June of 2014.
Srijeetā Pal
Beautiful….lake side perfect for biking/hiking
Elizabeth Hughey
Came as vendor staff for Lake Shake, a 3-day event. Day 1 it rained and the food area , which was set up against the porta-potty area, was inundated with rain, run-off, spilled beer, and unfortunately. ... what might have been human waste and vomit. Day 2 was drier, but by 6 p.m. most toilets were emptied of their paper and layered inside with ¿beer¿ i pretended. And by 10 p.m. the ground was again 3 " thick mud in front of the toilets ....Day 3 was nearly identical to day 2, except while breaking down our food stand the vendor organizer informed us he thought we were staying for the next event the following weekend, but btw there's a 10 day hold on all of the profits you made.
The view of the harbor and city skyline was beautifu, but parking, and traffic was of course a nightmare and costly
Guadalupe A Medina JR
Great setting with the backdrop of skyline, bathrooms where much better than others described AC cooled and all.. definitely will attend future concerts here.
Grace Grantz
What a great setting for a concert. The skyline, the lake, the boats - just gorgeous! WAIT: they want $20 for one drink - yikes!
Osama Saleh
I was here at Collective soul & 3 doors down concert, it was awesome. I had the best view of the city while listening to one of my good bands.
John Campbell
Great venue with an intimate atmosphere. Fantastic location by the lake with superb views of the city while you wait. Parking at Soldier Field recommended!
Carrie Von Hoff
Great views of the city but not my favorite place to watch a concert. The lawn seats can be pretty bad if that front section isnt open seating.
PK C
Great spot for summer concerts. The downside is 8 bucks for a bottle of water. Also an area for people to smoke in would be great.
F S
Saw Jay-Z here around 2012-13. Great atmosphere. The Chicago skyline as a backdrop was breathtaking.
Rob williams
I come here regularly during the summer to see music acts during the summer. If it is going to be aclumet weather bring the right hear Because there is no place to hide from the rain
Allen Irvine
Very good venue. Great view of the city and cool by the lake in the summer. It is outside so beware the weather
Andy Charles
Awesome place for a show, but requires a lot of walking. Great sound. Section 203 seats were a good value.
JP
I saw STS9 and Umphrey's McGee there on August 17, 2013. It is a great venue I have no complaints. It was probably one of the best shows I have ever been to.
Michael Liepitz
Great venue, but SO HARD to get to/out of whether driving, bus or L. I would really need to want to see a band to commit to going here
Kizzy K (Kreativ)
Walking around can be pretty rough for people. Venue is outside so that’s something to note. Floor seating is pretty packed and tight no matter who’s performing. I suggest getting a seat in the VIP section or in the 300 level pavilion seats to the side!
Ted Jones
$47 for 2 drinks and a water. Plus tip. We were in the VIP section. They closed the buffet after the first act. The margarita was tremendously awful. Don't order one.
Mark Sundwall
Wonderful venue, Easy to get too.
Latanya Jackson
My First Live Concert there was on 7/15/16 was Amazing! The Sound System is Great! The Atmosphere was Magical!
Dan H
Show had gotten cancelled and staff would not talk about it other than to say go on social media while they're all leaving to go home.
Deb Kosiba
Saw Post Modern Jutebox, absolutely amazing! Perfectly beautiful day for an outdoor concert on the lakefront. Only giving it 4 stars because the seats are too small and horribly uncomfortable.
Michael Maenza
Good venue for not only seeing a show but also eyeballing the skyline. Bring a light jacket or pull over as the night cools off with wind coming off the lake.
Mahrya Garcia
I've been to a couple of concerts here, and haven't been too happy with the sound... Not my favorite outdoor venue.
Nic Sinople
Great place to see a show. I'm withholding one star because of the absurd beer prices. $17 for a "premium" tall boy is absolutely out of control.
patrick Hippydog
Great venue, really nice layout..but, buy the preferred parking...unless you like to walk.
Frank Harmon
Awesome - as long as you pay for the VIP (rockstar) Parking. Otherwise, it's a looong walk to and from any other parking, bus, Uber, taxi options. Remember that loooong walk applies to arriving and leaving.
Kelly Ferrari
Decent place to see a show, having the Chicago skyline in the background is cool.
Drinks and food are ridiculously expensive. Don't expect to get a buzz going without spending a lot.
Ryan Wesolowski
Sublime with Rome..... What a great show 👌 …
