Unique experience! You enter what looks like an old laundry and then pass through a "secret" entrance to the bar/lounge. You don't need to have purchased a ticket for the actual show. You can simply stop in for a drink and enjoy the ongoing table Magic being performed at the bar. If you have purchased a ticket for the show, they will seat you in groups to your reserved seats at about 7pm. You then have about an hour to order food, drinks and again enjoy the roving table Magic. Various Magicians come to your table. The main performance consisted of two performers ... Both excellent! If you purchased the premium ticket, (limited to 40 people), you then get to go backstage for a special close up performance. The food was surprisingly good. Normally I wouldn't expect much from this kind of venue, but the Chicago Magic Lounge did an excellent job all way around! The tenderloin sliders were delicious and the fries hot and crispy. The surprisingly good appetizer was the roasted olives! YUM! I highly recommend you check this place out for a unique and entertaining evening!!!

A beautiful entertaining experience! Had one too many laughs throughout the whole show! They have a seperate bar for casual drinking and the shows are at certain times! Make sure you come try it out!

A really cool place for a night out or even for special events! All performers are really good and with a great sense of humour. The drinks are really good and the initial close-up tricks at each individual table before the main show are a nice touch. If you don't want to end the night early, you can remain at the bar where you can experience extra tricks.

Best Laundromat Ever!!!!! This Laundromat has amazing cocktails, Magic Shows, great vibe but unfortunately you can’t do the laundry here. Go there for a drink and some magic shows. You won’t regret

I wanted to take my girl out for her birthday and came across the Chicago Magic lounge thru Google read the reviews and was amazed by all the good reviews that I had to experience for ourselves. We got there around 6:30 walked thru the front door which was by far amazing. Got to the bar and watched a pre-show while we got our 1st drink. The magician was fantastic very entertaining including everyone in the room with his magic and personality. We than got to go back to be seated for the show and had magicians at every table showing all their neat unique tricks. Not one seemed to be the same and they were all so entertaining. We ordered some drinks and the servers were excellent as well as the drinks that were top notch delicious. If your glass was empty they were there. We didn't get to order any food but I heard it was worth the price. Jan Rose started our evening out before the magicians came on and stole the show with her personality. The magicians were by far entertaining after the show we got to go to the 654 club which was about another hour of magic. 654 is like a VIP lounge that's more private experience of magic. The whole night was awesome my girl loved it and so did I. So if u need a night out for a special occasion or just a date this is the place to go to see some great magic.

My fiance took me here for my birthday. Wow what a magical night! From the second you walk in to when you walk out it's entertaining. The staff was tremendously welcoming, accommodating, and so so friendly! We went to the 10:00 show then the midnight show after. Definitely recommend the aftershow also. Definitely can't wait to show this place off to some family and friends.

This is one of those places that is a complete hidden gem unless a local tells you about it. And that's if they even know about it! Fantastical little place with incredible hidden rooms. This place offers a good little number of snacks and drink choices to make your visit even better. If you arrive early enough to fit into the bar area before a show, you can see plenty of close up card magic before the show, also afterwards if you so desire. They host great magicians and have awesome servers and hosts to make your visit very memorable.

If you’ve never been, you HAVE to go! Although it’s a bit on the pricier side once you add in the cost of tickets, food, and drinks, it’s well worth the cost. For their signature shows, you get about 3-4 table magicians, a stage opener, and then the headliner over the course of the night. If you get premium tickets, the extra 645 club is so fun too. Overall, this is a place well worth the trip and makes you feel like a kid again, which is priceless. Thank you CML 💖

Such a fun, unique experience! The tickets are so well-priced considering you’re getting a few hours of music, magic, and even one on one magic for that flat price. There’s a bar with classic and more unique drinks as well, plus a kitchen. The magicians were great! They had cool tricks and they were excellent performers. Loved the mix of magic and music, the band was really talented as well! The space itself is also wonderful. You enter through a “laundromat” and head through beautifully decorated lounges to the theater area that’s not too large. This is a great one of a kind experience! It’s the perfect date night.

They take speakeasy a little too far. Outside there is nothing to tell you this is the Magic Lounge. Luckily the have a greeter out front or I would have been totally lost. Inside the speakeasy continues with a laundry mat with a hidden entry door. This leads into a lounge with another hidden door behind the fireplace. This finally led into the Magic Lounge. It is a cozy space with a couple of magicians making the rounds to the tables doing close card magic they did this for about an hour. During which you can order food and drinks. I had a really good Spiced Hor Cider. I was here on a Tuesday when they had 2 Chicago favorites as the main show, staring Justin Purcell & AJ Sacco. They apparently view themselves as comedians, because they did a really stupid show about being corporate speakers. They did a couple of very good tricks and showed off some impressive memory skills. They were kinda funny. It just wasn't what I wanted from a magic show. I've been to David Copperfield a couple of times and was looking for more illusions. The front hype man was very good, likable, and funny. Overall a 4 star review. A 3 star for the main show. 5 star for the card magicians and the atmosphere of the venue. Plus 1 star for outside look. Would I return? Absolutely. Just not for Mr Purcell and Mr Succo. I would love to see a magic show more than a comedy show.

Me and my wife visited for my birthday, we were welcomed with a glass of champagne, the drinks were one of a kind. The entrance is like you’re going in a laundry which I think is so cool. The magic show was totally worth the hype, the magicians were funny and their magic was awesome. It’s a perfect spot for a date night or a celebration.

Wow one of the must-dos in Chicago. Fantastic magic and the drinks are very good. I’d recommend to spend the extra kn premium tickets so you get additional unique magic performances which are not included in the standard tickets.

It's a magic show from the time you enter, to the time you leave! The drinks were strong, the food looked good and the staff was professional. You are entertained by a magician at the bar. Side note. You can go to the bar without purchasing a ticket and watch the bar magician, just dont forget to tip! Once it's about curtain time you enter the main room. Magicians come to your table and do up close magic. We paid for the show after the show. This was in a smaller room in the back and entertained by more magic. The magician's owned their craft and were funny. Loved the interactions of the magicans with the crowd. Great experience would go back. Parking wasn't terrible to find around that area. The parking meters were free after 6pm.

I don’t know how I came across a magic show at 7pm on a Wednesday- but I’m so glad I did. As fast as my money disappeared, so did my doubt. The jokes came one after the other. I had no idea who I paid to see but I know I got way more than I paid for. The food could make Gordon Ramsey proud, the drinks would make James Bond blush and the comedy.. the comedy was like if John Mulaney and Tom Segura had a baby. The whole night was great, I would go back tomorrow if I wasn’t waiting on child support. (Kidding). But seriously- just go. I hope it takes you less than 5 minutes to find the door.

What a great evening. The magic was above my expectations, the drinks were the perfect refreshing sip. The food was as delicious as it was stunningly presented. The magic itself was an awesome experience ,an amazing example of slight of hand tableside before the main show,. Don't miss the bar show before either. The highlight of the night was the after show where we were truly blown away by some spectacular examples of showmanship of a younger magician. I highly recommend this experience.

The food is very yucky, I found it to be pretty flavorless. The tricks were pretty good. I was expecting to have my mind blown but I didn't. That was my fault tho for not knowing how Chicago has a specific way of doing tricks. Paige Thompson was fun, but her show was kinda boring. I wasn't on the edge of my seat I would have rather looked at my phone.she had one trick that was very exciting. Sadly I was not impressed with this place like I thought. I'd skip her show and just go see 7 Devin in the bar he was amazing and actually funny. The service tho was amazing. U never had to worry about getting another drink. Paige seems like an incredible illusionist just not in this type of magic. For some reason we got some sad montage of her glory days. One of the best parts was their heated toilet seats, incredible art & ambiance of the place. I'd definitely eat before going cause the food was gross.

Don't want to post pictures and ruin the experience for people that haven't been yet but we had a really good time! The Monday show both at the bar and in the main theater area was loads of fun and kept us engaged and mind blown throughout the entire thing! We will definitely be back for the weekend show!

Went here with a group of friends on a weeknight and have a fantastic time! Unfortunately I was not able to get there early to enjoy time in the bar beforehand but the cocktail hour before the show with table magic and the main act were great fun. Would be a perfect place to take visitors from out of town or a date night. Being a weeknight we didn't stick around after the show but they do continue to do magic in the front bar afterwards as well.

I cannot rave about this place enough. I and my boyfriend visited the Magic Lounge on our first night in Chicago and this place was the highlight of our trip. All of the staff were extremely friendly and it had a lovely ambiance. We were greeted by two magicians at our table while we got our drinks and food plus we got to know the history behind the Chicago Magic Lounge as well. The magic show in itself was something I cannot explain with words. It completely blew our minds and I cannot wait to be back again. A must-visit if you're in the city.

What a blast! I’ve never been to a real magic show in my life and my friend in Chicago (totally random) got us tickets to this when I came to town to visit him! This was one of the funnest things I’ve ever done. If you want do something totally unique; a date, a birthday present, whatever…give this a try!

Fantastic venue. Great drinks. Amazing magic. Hilarious comedy. We bought Premium tickets so that we could experience everything the Chicago Magic Lounge has to offer. Kayla Drescher's bar magic show was brilliant as was Justin Purcell and Deven Brown's sleight of hand close-up magic at our table in The Harry Blackstone Cabaret Theater. Both Rebecca Spectre and Trent James were hilarious in their parlour shows (which both contained incredible magic) and Jan Rose was the perfect emcee. Martin Braessas also put on a superb show in the 654 Club. Highly recommend to anyone living in or visiting Chicago!

Absolutely loved this place! It is a hidden Chicago gem which we found from a Thrillist YouTube video on Chicago's secret menu as we were visiting from the UK. I say a hidden gem because you would not realise it was there we ended up walking straight past it and then when we found the entrance it was another mystery to get in as it is disguised as a Laundromat, which is all part of the fun. Once in we were met with a friendly greet by staff who were really helpful and informative. We booked ourselves in for the music and magic show then settled down at the bar. The cloak room is complimentary which was also great. The venue decor and ambience is great and really adds to the experience. Erin our Mixologist was friendly, chatty and made great cocktails all while holding down the bar on his own but still provided prompt service. I really recommend the Amortintia#9. While in the bar we were entertained with Magic and Comedy by AJ who did a great job, he was funny and engaging. We sat down for the show and the views are good. We ordered the Goats Cheese Marinara, Potato Pancakes, Pork Belly Sliders and Fries which were all really good. The music and magic show was entertaining with bits of close up magic at your table. My only disappointment was the second Stage Magic slot only lasted 5 minutes as I was really enjoying it all. So in summary great staff, great food, great cocktails, great show... GREAT PLACE!

This was by far the BEST date night I've ever experienced!!! From the second you get to the entrance it is NONSTOP elegance mixed with so much entertainment, fun, & comedy! I could not stop smiling the entire time! Entering the building alone was amazing. Then once seated the beautiful MC personally comes up and greets you. She was amazing and spoke with so much enthusiasm and character. She did beautiful outfit changes between acts as well. She was the definition of a classy and fun story teller. The magicians also did an AMAZING job prior to the show. They went up to each table, introduced themselves with their fun personalities, and gave a jaw dropping close up magic show at your table!! They're was an amazing piano player too set the mood. All the servers were super attentive & serve you during the entire show. The show itself was so much fun. I love how interactive they were with the crowd. I also paid for the 654 show after and omg SO worth the money!!! Its a more personal inclusive group watching a single magician. I was absolutely amazed at every trick.

So, I am biased, because my husband is a magician, and we have been trying to get to Chicago to visit the Chicago Magic Lounge for a long time, and we absolutely loved it. From the minute you enter the front door (which is an experience in itself) to the very end, it's a whole different world. Be sure to come early and enjoy magic in the front bar area (and visit the bar restroom while you are there; trust me). Before the main event is an hour of close up magic by other talented magicians. Be sure to tell the staff if you are celebrating a special event. We were made to feel like VIPs, thanks to Jan Rose. The featured and main events were wonderful. We paid more for premium seating so that we had access to the 654 Club, the last show of the night. Excellent quality magicians, friendly staff, delicious food... it's an experience that will stay with you. My only disappointment... I wanted more magic!! We can't wait to come again!!! Thank you for an excellent experience!!

We were looking for something to do last minute and managed to snag tickets to their Monday night show. The entrance was an experience in itself where you enter through a laundromat. Inside there was a hidden door that opened to the bar where we were sent through another hidden door to the lounge. The evening consisted of a live band performing while magicians came to the tables and performed tricks. About halfway through the night, the lovely Paige Thompson performed some on-stage tricks which were super cool and very well done. The drinks we had were great and our server was amazing. We had the roasted olives (I highly recommend them) and the fries which were both delicious! The price for the tickets honestly felt low for the experience we had. I would highly recommend them and they are open 7 days a week which is great!

The experience here is amazing. They have 4 different magic experiences, bar, table side (Chicago), stage, and a close up show after the main show for certain ticket holders. The magicians are very interactive and multiple people get selected for assistance. From the entrance to the end of the show, it's super fun and entertaining. We'll definitely be coming back.

We went last night and got premium tix. This is the ultimate experience for up-close Chicago Magic. Excellent table magic for everyone in the room by skilled sleight of hand magicians. Then, the Signature show with Sigfried was awesome: hilarious, lots of audience interaction and incredible tricks with books and memory. Real cool show. I almost forgot to mention that the attentive servers provide nice appetizers and drinks. Afterwards, we got seats in a smaller lounge and were treated to a more intimate magic show by David. He was equally mystifying and finished off the night with some additional excitement. THANKS TO THE CHICAGO MAGIC LOUNGE. I highly recommend

We had a great time! Loved the ambiance and high ceilings. Great drinks too! We went to the Music and Magic show, and we had "up close" magicians who were really great, we especially liked Ryan. However for an establishment that serves alcohol in the "club" area, it seems irresponsible to not allow tap water to be served, and to only sell bottled water. It seems you can bring in tap water from the lobby/bar area, but only if you know to do that ahead of time.

What a truly magical evening. In every sense, for every sense. We started at the bar with an abracadabra drink with a beautiful flower perched on the rim of the glass. Then once we were seated we enjoyed the pictured Pork Belly sliders and S'More. They were so good that we ordered another set of sliders and an order of fries. The wait staff was attentive and the Chicago-style close up magicians roaming before the main show were all outstanding! Finally, the two stage performers were incredible! Both extremely talented entertainers! Definitely looking forward to another visit here!!

I have a great time!, it was lively, and funny. The people are nice. For a Tuesday I thought the place would be empty, but to my surprise it was a nice crowd. Drinks are strong and good. What an awesome place! My husband and I bought tickets for my parents and mother in law for Christmas. We really had no idea what it was all about but thought it sounded fun. It was so much better than we expected. The table magic was great, the signature show was also great, but my favorite was the show afterwards. We were all amazed over and over again. Food looked delicious but we ate before going so didn’t order any. If you’re debating about going just go!! Yes tickets are pricy but so worth it for a special night out! I can’t wait to plan another visit.

This place is amazing! We've gone past it a lot and never knew it was there. Went for the standard show for a birthday and it didn't disappoint. Get there on time so you can see all the table tricks and order some snacks, then the main show starts about an hour after. Afterwards you can head to the bar for a drink and some more magic.

A really fun concept. Much better that just grabbing a drink at the local bar. You are entertained with in person and up close magic. Check the schedule, as it varies greatly. Some shows in the bar are free and others are paid and take place in 1 of their 2 theaters.

What am awesome concept, magic and music. Went on a Monday night and was utterly amazed at how good the jazz musicians were as well as the magicians. We were entertained at the bar until the show started. Food was small plates & perfect for 2. Definitely a hidden gem in the city.

This is one of the best experiences you can have in Chicago. Grab a front row seat if you want a chance to go on stage or give your loved one a chance to go up. The 654 club is also worth it at least once! The olives and fries are amazing and everyone from the magicians to Jan rose are absolutely delightful. Go here.

We came to Chicago for the weekend and bought tickets in advance. Best show I’ve been to in years, and would reccomend to everybody. Was definitely the highlight of the trip for us. Start to finish the team pays careful attention to make the experience special. Starting with the special lounge room entrance introduction, to the close up magic at the table, to the signature show. All were great, and the audience really appreciates the time and effort put into each step. There are two critiques I’d give. The first is timing with the close up magic pre-show. We got there relatively early, but didn’t get a close up show until 10 minutes before the show(So we unfortunately sat around for 40ish minutes). When the magician did arrive, his trick was excellent though. And I was not crazy about the drinks themselves. The taste was a bit too bold, and didn’t match the quality of the show. Neither of which I’d take a point off for. Overall, will tell all of my friends to go and share the experience.

Spectacular service, from the casual magic to the entrance of the place. I went in with high hopes, and even those were blown away. Drinks are moderately priced, and the premium tickets are very worth it. Over two hours of entertainment and I have got to say, I'd do it again.

Really, *really* fun. I passed by it once when it was young and I headed elsewhere, but very glad I came back to see a full show. The venue isn't too large, the staff engages you before the main event, along with well-made cocktails and good appetizers. There were 2 main acts in the signature show, and their styles were pretty different, but both used plenty of good humor in their acts. As skeptical as you may be, it's impossible not to enjoy it with wonder and plenty of laughs. Simply worth it!

This place was recommended to us by a friend during our stay in Chicago and I have to say it was one of the highlights of our trip! The art deco decor is gorgeous, the drinks perfect to the theme, and the space is intimate and cozy. We did not attend a show in the theatre but did watch and participate in the magic show at the bar, and let me just say we enjoyed every minute of it. The magician, bartender and clientele were super fun and lovely to get to know, and the tricks were mysterious and exciting to see! We loved it all and cannot wait to tell our friends and family about this unique magical experience. Next trip to Chicago we will most definitely be back!

What a wonderful place this is. Good drinks, great performances, and excellent ambiance. The food is small portioned and high price, for those who enjoy that. My only downside is that many of the magicians that come around for close-up magic seemed to focus on larger groups and pass by our two-person table. Other than that, we had a splendid time!

This was such a fun experience. The fun begin as soon as we walked in the door. The thing that makes this a special experience is the little details; heated toilet seat in the ladies room, nice paper towels, entertainment by the bar as you wait for the show, friendly staff, etc. The misdirection and the constant entertainment are exceptional. We had a great time. The new venue is very nice. Stop in for a drink and a few magic tricks at the bar, or get show tickets and plan an evening out. The staff were all very friendly. Cocktails were actually reasonably priced at about $10 per drink, and better than I would have expected. The food was a little underwhelming, but that's my only real complaint.

A fun place to check out. The decor is really cool. The best part was walking through the entrance into the main hall (won't give away any spoilers here). The Timeless Magic Act is fun, but can get a bit long and drawn out at some points. Make sure you do your homework to find out which show you'd like to watch. As far as food/apps goes, the fries are worth getting!

Fantastic show! The magicians are very skilled at their craft. Arrive early and sit at the bar while the magicians walk around and show their skills. The only downside was that they seat you, even though I arrived early, I was sitting on the very edge and unfortunately was at an angle where I could see some of the "magic" happening (strings, hidden items, etc.).

The lounge is beautiful, food & drinks were good. I wish there was more accuracy in the timing of this event. Groupon told me that the show would begin at 730pm for a . Actually, that is when you must move from the lounge to the theatre. Once inside the theatre, you can order food & drinks (identical menu). Unfortunately, we arrived early, thinking we'd need to eat before the show. There is table side magic done by several magicians. Unfortunately, this gave us entertainment for about 7 minutes. The magicians all seemed to be entertaining the people on the left front section of the theatre. This table side magic goes on for about 90 minutes. And then the headliner comes out, This was about 850pm, and he did about 40 minutes of storytelling, accompanied by about 6 magic tricks. He's entertaining, but somehow I expected that there would be continuous magic for the entire time he was performing.

We got magic while we waited in the bar, magic during the cocktail hour, two 30-minute shows than a bonus 30-minute show in an extra room. They really make sure everyone has a chance to participate in the magic with magicians walking around interacting with every customer. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely return.

We really enjoyed the two major acts. Had some fries that were very good. The rest of the menu looked really good, but we had eaten across the street at Bar Roma. There was an hour of roving magicians in the audience for an hour before the show began. Many other groups were visited by two or three magicians, but we only got one. It is a nice space. The emcee gave an interesting history of magic in Chicago.

This is such a unique and new experience. I went here on an outing with coworkers and had the best time. This is a great place for a alternative to the same old boring bar you go to every week. After reading the reviews and being a lover of magic i decided to go for a pre birthday celebration. I found the magic mediocre at best, i kept thinking of a magician hired for a kids party. Shout out to Jan Rose and Lucy Darling two great performers. Handsome Jack also gave a good performance although he only gave a birthday greeting to only one audience member despite their being several in the crowd. Wasn't entertaining enough to make another hour and a half drive.

This place is amazing - great place to bring guests or for a unique date night. I've been to the bar 5 times and it is very entertaining with great drinks and a magician performing magic! They also do bar challenges where you get a chance to try to figure out his challenges for a free drink. We also went to the Wednesday night show with David Parr and that was highly entertaining as well. The venue is also on theme with beautiful "Great Gatsby"-chic decor, a secret entrance, and plenty of vintage magic memorabilia. Note to parents: there is a matinee on Monday which kids are welcome!

Pay attention to the address though as it's kind of easy to miss :) The staff is wonderful, and the drinks are yummy. The magicians are professional, entertaining and good at what they do. An absolutely amazing performance in a fun cabaret style lounge setting. The evening started out with magicians performing sleight of hand performances at the table side prior to the headliner on the main stage. I enjoyed how they engaged and included the audience throughout the evenings. The cocktails and service were spot on. The only thing I would do differently is to arrive early and have food and drinks there during to the performance. We wound up going out to dinner prior.

Great spot, you can see magic and comedy and have drinks at the bar from open til their first show starts (500-730, iirc), then it's just drinks.They guy performing at the bar (The Great Bibick, I think) was REALLY GOOD. He was hilarious and the magic was fantastic. The paid show... Meh, the first hour was really underwhelming with magicians rounding the tables. The stage show was pretty good though. There are a lot of nice surprises at this spot too. Definitely recommend stopping in for a drink at the very least.
