Reviews of Acta
Saw Elf the musical last night. Great acting by all cast members!! All involved always do such a great job & enjoy immensely going to see fantastic live performances they do!!
Beautiful community Theater in downtown Trussville, Alabama. Close to the Library, it has it's own standalone building. Acta is an older venue but has decent seating, excellent lighting and acoustics. If l had a qualm, it would be that you enter directly into the playhouse. There is no foyer. So once a play begins, anyone coming late or leaving early disturbs the play. Acta does a good job at casting and selecting entertaining shows. "Rumors" was being performed for my visit.
Sweet, small, intimate theatre about the size of a one-room schoolhouse, where everyone knows everyone. The cast comes out immediately into the audience and associates with the patrons and engages in conversation. Very friendly and personal. Leaves a good feeling inside that makes you glad you came.
Great, fun place. They mostly put on plays which are family friendly. Some of their shows are amazing, and rival any theater in thw area. The staff is friendly and helpful. Acta also has art exhibits and musical performances from time to time.
This theater has significant local support, and therefore quality shows, sets, directors and actors. The people sometimes come from quite a distance to be a part of these productions. Yes, I'm in them occasionally, but I'm most impressed when I am audience! That's when you realize its real value!
I love ACTA so much!!!! I did my first play there ! And my next play there will be my 10th show!!!! You might have seen me in “little women “ and birgdoon!!! I have been at acta my whole life ! Everyone is so nice it is a really great place for you’re kids to start ! They have amazing musical and plays !

Steel magnolias great performances by
whole cast.
Always great productions. Superior acting, sets, stage hands, music/audio, costumes and lighting/sound. I have been to several productions and have enjoyed them all.
Great community theater. Great place to bring a date.
Absolutely great community theater! Thoroughly enjoyed their performance and talent.
This is a great place to see some great performances.
I love the chance that this theater gives to amateur actors like myself. Lucy Lunsford is amazing with the work she does with young aspiring actors.
To my niece to see "Little Shop of Horrors" and it was great. They did a really great job.
Love this place. I send my daughter at least 4 times a year. She love the shows.
The play, Step in Time was great. The cast was wonderful. Keep up the good work.
Place is old, dusty, and small. The theater that goes on there, however, is magical!
Love ACTA. It's an intimate setting with quality, family friendly shows.
Small intimate theatre that presents wonderful plays. Will go back for sure.
