Reviews of Baltimore Center Stage

What a lovely place to spend a night. The event? It was a celebration for educators, and so this location was selected. Tucked away between a line of buildings, except for the brilliantly-arched lighting and signage, you could easily pass it. However, once you make the deliberate move up the 8 or so steps to the building, the brilliance really shines. You arrive into a lobby reception area that is open and well-laid out. On your right is a little cafe and bar with an opposing open dining area, across from another cool hangout spot.
Above you appears the balcony and entrance to upper seats set by recessed lights and artwork And to your left, and in front, open standing area or picture taking space, with leather-cushioned seats for the fatigued. Once you enter the amphitheater, seats are arranged descending towards the stage. Acoustics were great, setting okay. Only a bit of difficulty with parking because of location.
Still, a lovely and elegant location for any event if you enjoy an evening well spent! For sure, I’ll be back!

I really appreciate the level of safety & health precautions take and the theater. It made the experience more enjoyable for me. The show was entertaining and somewhat thought provoking too.

I used to attend all the time when I was in high school. The Pearlstone theater looks the same. I attended the Baltimore Teacher's Network Gala....very nice event!!! Looking forward to seeing a production soon.

Has been awhile since I visited but it was awesome! Caught Ain't No Mo which was a very relatable satirical play. I loves how accomodations and inclusive CS is for patrons with visual, hearing and physical differences🖤 …

Beautiful, small and quaint playhouse.
Not one bad seat in the place!!
Lobby looks like a museum, picture perfect!!
I've driven by millions of times and never knew this local gem was there!!
I was invited by my great great gf out for her birthday to go see "Fun Home" and it was a fantastic experience.
I am now enrolled to their emails so I will never miss information regarding upcoming plays and events here!!
Oh, & the parking ... Street parking available and there's a $5 garage diagonally from playhouse.
Bravo Center Stage... Bravo !!

The facilities are modern and well-maintained and the staff are nice and helpful. The bartender complimented my partner and I's outfit and was super sociable, and the show selection is a great variety of important and mature shows. Highly recommended theatre!

What a nice experience! I took my parents to see "Soul - The Stax Musical". What a nice play, the music, the actors, the venue were all truly wonderful. This was my first time experiencing the newly remodeled theater, and what a wonderful job Center Stage did. I look forward to the next play I attend here.
