Reviews of Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center
Great experience. Parked in adjacent underground deck for $10. As you enter underground deck take first 2 lefts to access P2 section & park near elevator. Take elevator to street level & you are directly across from venue. Facility had great sound, clean bathrooms & attendants to seat you.
I recently bought tickets to a musical and a concert here and had a nice time. My seats to both performances were in the balcony section. I had no problem hearing the band or the songs the performers sang from the balcony. If Balcony tickets are the only tickets left for a show you want to see, it is still worthwhile to purchase tickets.
Excellent architecture. Well maintained and clean. There are lots of Photography options. Fountain in front is very good. Went during Xmas season and hall is well decorated. Even the outside too is well decorated. Kudos to staff for maintaining this hall very well.
Great Venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Awesome acoustics. I prefer the lower side balconies
Enjoyed our Northside Christmas event. Food was very good, along with the staff. Easy parking inside the garage area with convenient elevators close by Blair a short walk to the event.
Nice venue with lots of seating. $10 parking if you can't find a spot on the street. We saw West Side Story. Dress spanned casual (jeans and t-shirt) to dressy (nice evening dresses). The had concessions.
Very nice & chic venue. Easy to arrive at off Roswell Rd & easy to get to the underground ($5) parking. Decent seats and excellent view of the stage. Acoustics are excellent also.
This is a different level of enjoyment! We had so much fun. My husband and I have been complimenting the theatre for days.
We were really high up and could see EVERYTHING, which wasn't so great for those of my group who were scared of heights. Still it is a very nicely designed theatre.
This is a very nice venue: easy to navigate, good acoustics, comfortable seats, good lighting ... everything is good once inside the building.
We were there for the Atlanta Gay Mens Chorus April 10, 2022.
Things needing improvement:
Parking - We ended up NOT using the underground lot because the line was too long and too slow. We turned off and parked in another lot. They need to find a way to speed up entry into the underground parking lot. At $10 per car they owe patrons better service.
Ticket pickup - Stood in line for over 10 minutes to pick up the tickets we had purchased on line. There was only 1 person working the "will call" window. That is unacceptable. Put more people on duty to handle the crowd, and/or let prepaid ticket holders show their phone receipt (email receipt) to the ushers. The email receipt shows the seat, date, amount paid and method of payment. There is no need for a paper ticket to be picked up. Please come into the 21st century and dump the paper and the lines.
This venue can be superb if some attention is given to parking management and ticket distribution.
Purple Xperience a great 5 piece group production of Prince.
Simply Awesome!
Very intimate venue with great sound. Have been there to see Herman's Hermits and Christopher Cross. Both sounded great. Helpful staff.
My first time at the Byers Theater and it was great. Saw City Springs "A Chorus Line" and the site lines and sound was very good. They have box seats which I really must try. It is in a performing arts complex which looks promising and interesting. You should give it a try.
Beautiful venue with great sound, comfy seats, full bar.
Very nice venue 10 dollars to park but very clean and good seats all around
Great theater. Haven't had a bad seat so far.
This is a beautiful new facility! The theater is wonderful! There are two balconies and boxes on each side. I recommend seeing anything produced by City Springs Theatre!
Love this place! Been twice, once for Air Supply concert and once for The Nutcracker. There are no bad seats in the place. Always clean! The volunteers are great too. Highly recommend.
It is hard to imagine that the City Springs Theater Company at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center is so incredibly GREAT! Their productions are simply off-the-chart wonderful. The acting is amazing; the setting is exquisite; the staff is warm and welcoming; the parking is convenient. There are a million things to like about the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, including some great restaurants adjoining the facility, including The Select, Flower Child, a cute little French place and I good Vietnamese place, with fine dining such as Kaiser's Chophouse a few blocks away, and Slopes BBQ just across the street. Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center is a jewel.
Gorgeous theater. Amazing stage lighting. We saw The Color Purple and it was INCREDIBLE! The vocal talent was insane
Excellent performance of In The Heights
Gorgeous theater even without the pomp of The Fox or the smaller Buckhead Theater; very stylish and intimate. Stunning performance of Into The Woods (my wife hated the movie, LOVED the play last week), wish the staff were 'maybe' a bit better at knowing which door leads to which seats... we did A LOT of walking back and forth until we finally arrived at the correct entrance (the signs are very confusing, and even the staff are confused). The drinks were spot on, and the drink special for the evening was a lot of fun! We will be back, so happy to find this gem close to us!
Very clean and nice facility. If parking is crowded up top, there is amble space down below in parking deck in which you pay by the hour.
Saw Rob Schneider a couple weeks ago here. Amazing venue! Can't wait to check another show out there!
Attended 'Elegant Elf' nice event, good venue.
Absolutely stunning state of the art performing arts center in the heart of Sandy Springs new City Springs development. Amazing acoustics. Comfy seats. Not a bad seat in the house. Lobby waiting area has many seating areas to relax and enjoy a drink before shows. Easy underground parking with over 700 spaces and multiple entrances. Valet available during events.
Small venue. Seems all seats have a great view of the stage. Nice amenities. Parking is easy.
The show was fantastic! The venue is really spacious and well designed. I will go back!
Nice Venue, very quaint. Acoustically sounds outstanding. Nice atmosphere. Food is more like appetizers and price according
Have to agree with other posters on here that the venue itself is fabulous, and the acoustics were perfect, at least for the show I attended. Two major issues detracted from my experience there. 1) The signage for the seating sections is vague, and there was no corresponding signage for what they called my section on my ticket. Calling the Loge (which was printed on my ticket), something else on the theater signage doesn't make sense. Compounding that confusion is the fact that there were no attendants in the lobby to help you find where you were going. I had to wait on a line to be seated in a section, only to find that I was in the wrong section. This is totally unnecessary, if you would just print ticket sections as the same as the theater signs, and have a few attendants in the lobby.
2) I'm sure this isn't the first time you've heard this criticism, and it won't be the last -- in each of the men's restrooms there's only one urinal and one toilet! So naturally there are lines out the door before shows and during intermissions. All I heard were complaints, and incredulous remarks from all the men standing in line, each time I visited the men's room. It' makes absolutely no sense. It's as if the designers of the building had never visited any other performance venue before. It's difficult to believe a place that is so modern and enjoyable in every other respect, could make such a design blunder. Take a cue from the Fox, and make intermissions stress free!
Amazing and cozy venue. Love having such a wonderful facility so close to home. Plays have been outstanding!
Beautiful facility! Went for the nutcracker, so I believe it was a bit different than normal. The parking was difficult to find, but I was able to park across the street.
It's a very nice, new facility. Parking is only $5.00 and there is plenty of it. The security check was chaotic and somewhat childish. They are checking ladies purses ... But I guess it needed because of the world we live in. Sad!!! Seats are comfortable. Sound is excellent.
Saw 42nd Street Saturday matinee with very few open seats from observation. The venue was perfect. We sat in last row downstairs Orchestra, fabulous view and sound systems sounded great. At intermission downstairs bathrooms had really long ladies room lines so we went upstairs to super short line. Long lines at intermission at concessions, we went to bar where there was no wait. So in the 15 minute intermission we took care of business and got a drink easily with no wait. Parking very convenient underground onsite, $10 event charge but plenty of spaces. The show was old school Broadway Musical Comedy fabulous. Strong vocals and the dancing was superb. A great addition to Sandy Springs and the Metro ATL arts scene. Not a bad seat in the place.
The show was full of energy, I loved the band, ain't nothing like New Orleans Music. Nice venue for live shows, acoustics were good, seats were great, use valet its worth. I plan on going back.
Very nice. Enjoyed the play " The Color Purple". Awesome cast of characters.
Great venue. Very nice looking. It's a good size that allows you to see the performers. There's not a bad seat in the house. Only thing is that you're charged more for parking if you're going there for an event versus parking there for something else. ( That's why only 4stars).
Great place to sit and eat. AMAZING food and service. The concert was AMAZING. GO KEITH WASHINGTON!!!
Beautiful new contemporary venue. Friendly and helpful staff, but the sound was subpar- could not hear the vocals of the performers clearly; show was delayed about 20 minutes late due to sound system issues that continued throughout the entire performances.
My daughter had 2 performances here over the weekend with Atlanta Ballet. Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center is very nice. The area itself is nice and peaceful. There is plenty to do and plenty of relaxing places to rest your buns.
Parking is mostly easy although I don't understand why they need a person to operate an automated parking machine. Also the reviews about the bathrooms being under sized for the venue is true although there are more than one on different floors.
This venue has fabulous productions-I saw Hairspray yesterday with some friends and it was over the top-the actors, dancers and overall directing were spot on! I have season tickets for next season, season 2, and I can not wait to see the shows. Hurray for live thearter-I grew up on it and I will never stop supporting it-thank you to all the fine actors, actresses, musicians, and production staff for sharing their talent with us-I totally appreciate all of you! You bring such joy to so many!
Saw the Nutcracker here, which was amazing. The facility is gorgeous and eaily the match if any other venue. Lots of parking and food, the staff is extremely helpful and courteous. There is a full bar here as well.
Very good place to see a show. Great acoustics and it looks like every seat has a good view. Nice size, not to big but big enough to get decent shows.
Beautiful place, seats were small but we still had a blast.
Saw the color purple play. AWESOME. As usual, ladies restroom lines were ridiculously long!
New venue which is very well done. Great sight lines in every seat. Performances are are generally regional artist when it comes to quality.... OK, but not the very best...
Parking was a breeze. Facility was clean and spacious. There wasn't a bad seat in the house. Staff helpful. Delightful outing.
Great show and excellent facility. The staff were super friendly a d helpful. I will definitely look for more opportunities to attend events here.
The staff was super friendly, quick to answer any and all questions. The facility was beautiful and I was expecting $10 parking but they said it had been reduced to $5.
I'll be watching for events there in the future.
The Sandy Springs PAC is state of the art gorgeous.
And the City Springs Theater Company uses every single feature to bring musical theater alive!!!
Great venue close to home.... Quick and easy garage parking and very reasonably priced. Everything was clean and presentable. Staff was friendly and available when we had questions.
Lovely! Do something at the performing arts center. Incredibly convenient parking on premises. Modern, well thought out
We visited for a friend's ballet recital, and we were really impressed! It was beautiful, spacious, and comfortable inside and out.
My daughter performed in the Nutcracker at this wonderful new theater. The staff is very nice and welcoming. Easy to park with relative ease.
Balcony seats were great!
Fantastic venue! Sat in the loge and had a perfect view of everything. Can't wait to go back for another event!!
A very lovely spot. What a movie as part of the Jewish Film festival. My first time here and was very impressed with the venue.
This is a beautiful facility. Looking forward to attending a concert in the new space. The free outdoor concerts during the summer are great?
Very nice. Impressive box seating. Excellent venue.
Great acoustics. Not a bad seat in the house
So convenient and close to nice restaurants. Not a bad seat in the house!
Excellent venue, wonderful experience. Will go again and often.!
Great new facility. City Springs Theatre is a high quality addition to the Atlanta area performing arts scene.
This is a lovely new performing arts center! The parking deck is well-incorporated into the space so it isn’t an eye sore. Outside, the beautiful fountain and architecture are nice for fun photos before a show. The expansive lobby has lots of room and seating for mingling and conversation. Our seats were in the loge and we had a great view of the stage. The bathrooms were very clean.
Very nice venue but wasn't pleased with the show.
Beautiful venue for a first class production!!! Wonderfully intimate!!! I couldn't have been more impressed!
Beautiful place...amazing show...very intimate space for a 1st class production! This is the way to experience a night of theater! Or any production!!!
Wonderful and clean venue. Excellent production. Parking is easy & only $5.
Nice venue, staff was very accommodating. Wish it was easier to figure out which seats are wheelchair accessible.
Visited with friends for Elf Market. There was so much to see and purchase. Check it out next year.
Great venue for concerts and events!
Awesome place!!! Enjoy the concert, Sandy Springs have really put their tax dollars to work.
Great spot for concerts, saw Brandford Marsalias, great wine
The design of the building is splendid. Visibility to the stage is perfect from all seating areas.
Great venue for concerts and events!
Beautiful entertainment center. Easy access, parking, handicap entrance.great location. Helpful staff. Bar on premices.
Just saw the most amazing opera, Frida. The composer was there and the cast were amazing...must go and see it.
A world class performing arts facility with wonderful seating, beautiful productions and a professional staff.
The facilities are clean, especially the bathrooms.
There's a full service bar in the lobby and concessions available for purchase.
They frequently hire Broadway performers for their lead roles and fantastic local Atlanta talent for the supporting leads and ensemble.
The orchestra is beautiful and well-directed.
All around a wonderful experience!
So excited to finally get back to watching plays and musicals. Into the woods music was great.
Awesome venue, smooth process, easy parking
This is a nice theater space, but there is no ground floor seating; you either have to go down stairs (for the orchestra) or up stairs. If you are of limited mobility, plan to get there well before the show, and be ready to wait in line afterwards, because there is only one elevator. Traffic flow out of the orchestra is as slow as molasses sure to the location of the stairs.
Seems like a great place but they were having difficulties with their parking during our visit. Hopefully they’ve figured it out by now.
Awesome performing arts theatre. Good parking too.
Great venue and well organized!
