On a date night out, wife & I visited the Horizon theatre to see the play "The Light" on 3/25/22. The actors gave a great performance! The play was poignant, raw, and powerful in meaning. I attended a play at the Horizon Theatre Company, to to left "SQUARE BLUES" BY SHAY YOUNGBLOOD. A comedy-drama about how, three generations of the Blue family, handles, the courage to stand up for their beliefs. I enjoyed this awesome play.

By far the best theater in metro Atlanta. Their plays focuses on real life issues, especially current issues. The acting is superb and unbelievable and realistic artistry in the stage. Greatly recommend going to one of their plays which will have you being a returned visit like most.

Amazing show, set, and lighting design! Seats are cramped and a little warm inside, but a great venue. They also serve some of the largest cookies you've ever seen. Almost the size of a dinner plate and delicious. Support the arts and check out the great things happening here!

Attended two prformamce so far this year this year and both were excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The actors in both plays were extremely talented. The venue is small and intimate. Every seat has a perfect view of the stage and feels up close and personal with the actors and performance. Has quickly become one of my favorite cultural event spots in Atlanta.

The show I saw was absolutely amazing! I would definitely go here to see another one. Just note that there is limited parking, the house of the theater is relatively small, and the facilities are a bit older. Great shows, up close views, and community geared.

This was amazing! The facility is small, but the performance the actors and sound/lighting technicians managed to pull off was phenomenal and highly immersive. I didn't take any pictures as it felt intrusive during the performance and I was too focused on getting to chat with the actors afterwards.

Well...we flew in from California and decided to attend this play! Sweet Water Taste at the Horizon Theater did not disappoint. I am telling hotel staff, conference attendees and Lyft drivers that you live here and need to see this play. It addresses tough issues with humor and was wonderfully presented! Was visiting from out of state and looking for something local to do. Purchased tickets for "Freaky Friday." Horizon Theatre building is not much at all from the outside, quite worn down, and houses a variety of other businesses inside. But don't let that stop you from seeing this absolute gem. I was absolutely floored by the high quality of the acting, singing, and dancing by the large number of performers (who demonstrated amazing endurance and swiftness for wardrobe adjustments). Great live music and sets / set changes. And the opportunity to chat with the truly gracious performers after the show really made the night a triumph. Highly recommended! Support local arts - visual and performing arts! PS - Snacks and drinks are available for sale before and at intermission of performances.

I brought my nieces here to see Madeline’s Christmas. It is a quaint venue with nice staff. Be mindful of their parking lot though! We thought it would be fun to dress up for a little girls outing but it had been raining that day and the parking lot was one big mud puddle! Not a negative, just something to think about when getting dressed for your visit.

Love this little theatre. Just went to the 4th play that I have seen here, "The City of Conversation" and thought that I should give it a review. I loved it!!! The New York Times said it best--"Smart, literate, and funny." This theatre is able to draw professional actors and actresses that are every bit as good as Broadway. This little theatre has easy parking, friendly staff, and wonderful talent. They also pick plays that are entertaining and relevant. One of the great entertainment bargains.

Went to see Pipeline. Excellent! Well written and thought provoking. It's amazing the perspective you have when can feel the the live emotions from the actors. Stress, joy, love, anger and more. This beats the movies any day. You'll be seeing me more often. Only suggestion I have is to level out the parking (bumpy).

The Horizon is a small venue putting out impressive work. There isn't a bad seat in the house, although getting to a few can be a bit precarious. Take the advice of "get there early" to heart. There's a concession stand offering beverages (including a few for adults) and baked goods to help you pass the time.

I took a suggestion from my friend Carla, regarding volunteering for the Horizon theater. Well, on Saturday, July 30th for the 8:30 performance, my friends and I ushered for ‘da Kink in my Hair performance. Saturday night was a sold out performance! This was my first experience volunteering for the Horizon theater, and it was incredible! We felt welcomed and supporting the arts @ Horizon was an excellent experience, and I will do it again. The staff was super friendly and made our experience fun and exciting. I will continuously volunteer there because it was relaxing, informal and the regular customers are passionate about supporting such a grassroots organization. Free parking, come early, I would suggest because space is limited and their concession stands offers, the best largest oatmeal cookies I've tasted in a long time. What was so special was that the performers hung around and took pictures with us and talked with everyone. It was up close and personal. We enjoyed that so much!

What a treat to have so many good plays at this community theater. The actors in the play, The Cake, performed as well as any actors I've seen on Broadway or other prominent theaters. The moral dilemma, which is the central plot, was totally believable.

Just left their production of "Once." It was mind-blowing. Atlantans don't know what they have in their own local Theatre. The synergy of the cast was palpable. The music swooned, I had chills literally every song. They tell a story that engulfs you. Do not miss this show.

Great little venue. No need to worry about where to sit because every seat is a good seat. Concessions are pretty limited as far as snacks go but they do offer wine and other drinks.

Its not just a theatre. Its a place for local organizations and entrepenuers to meet. I lived in the outskirts of ATL my whole life and always find myself visiting this theatre for something going on. Great place to find out whats going on in the community too. Its even used by film production companies sometimes for it old vintage style building structure.

For me Horizons is local theater done right. The stage is maybe about the size of an average bedroom but that's irrelevant because the shows that this company premiers are so damn immersive you'll forget about the size. In my honest opinion I've seen more impressive shows right here at Horizons than the shows I've seen on Main stage Alliance. Given the limited resources Horizons delivers PREMIUM theater at a fraction of the cost without compromising on set design, acting or storytelling. Horizons single handedly entertains better than ANY other theater company I've ever had the pleasure of attending. Hear me when I say that this review is not a dig at any of the other theater companies, it's just the plain truth. This place is truly an ATL and lil 5 gem. 💎💎💎

"Waffle Palace Christmas" was way too long and needs a serious rewrite! Many a great line lost in a story that was made more confusing by the devil. I would cut his part way down and a few others all together. It could be a fealty funny Atlanta story with a good edit.
