Nice venue to see concerts at. Be prepared to pay $25 for parking but we got a good spot that was easy to exit from after the show. Food was good for concert food, hot and fresh tenders and fries. I love how wide the aisles are so people can cross freely in front of you with out you having to get up and move and bump knees or whatnot.
Renea Young
Very nice venue for outdoor concerts. It The surrounding views are spectacular. It is a well maintained area. There are stalls at which to buy drinks, food, or souvenirs. Worth the long drive to Atlanta

I hadn't visited Chastain Park in quite awhile but was very pleased with the makeup of the seating arrangement. There was grass on the upper seating when last I visited. Eventhough the walking for parking was grueling, the excitement of being under the stars again, made it all worth it. Ron Isley was the opener. There seemed to be some glitches in the audio. Also with his and his band's dress. But we thoroughly enjoyed it. And as usual, Frankie Beverly and Maze gave me back some of my past. Sitting under the stars at the long forgotten, Southern Heritage Festival in Birmingham's long gone Fair Park. Oh what a 21st birthday I had. Nonetheless, Chastain remains one of my favorite places to take in some people watching, finger popping, hand clapping , 'Joy and Pain'!!!! Though we had rain the moment Maze hit the first note, the joy of the gathering was apparent that very few took to the e it's as the liquid sunshine came down. Security was prudent and thorough on my end. I felt safe because of the precautions taken. Post COVID looked like days of old at Chastain.....

Attending a Common concert was a first for me and what a great first time experience! Common in collaboration with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra put on an awesome concert. I danced the entire night. I traveled across state lines with a friend of mine, who is an avid fan, to see Common on stage and it was worth every penny. An awesome venue and great weather to add to the evening made a spectacular night!!

What amazingly fun venue! We got to see David Gray, the seats were great, the staffs was fantastic, and it was a beautiful night. What more could you ask for?
Heidi Parent
Great venue. Not a bad seat to be found.
Parking however? The WORST. We circled for almost half an hour before finding a spot at a local public park.
Allyson Kreger
Went to see 5 Seconds of Summer here- the venue was great! Love the pavilion to eat and drink (food is delicious, also has vegan options), but for me the best part is the leg room in the aisles. You don't have to constantly get up and shuffle back every time someone comes through! The sound carries wonderfully and you can see the stage very well even way back. I'll definitely come here for more concerts in the future.
Sabrina Renee
Fabulous acoustics! Seating is easy to locate and wide isles with low steps make the venue very convenient to navigate. You will pay to park close but it's worth it and there's no issue getting in or out they do a Fantastic job keeping the flow of traffic. Food was moderately priced for a buckhead venue although not many gluten free options. Alcohol on site and the list of preforming bands is Awesome! Definitely worth it! If you have never been it is open outdoors so dress according to your weather and time. Most of all Have Fun! 🥰
Jaime McQuilkin
Always enjoy this venue! Pretty amphitheater among the trees and every seat is a good seat. Comfy bleachers and room for people to walk in each aisle.
Allie Ghisson
Sound was great, seats were actually pitched like an amphitheater so no trouble seeing over everyone. Parking was busy as expected.
Alyssa Vann
Beautiful park. Very friendly staff. Side note: do not bring any bag unless it is clear and very small. The v walk to the park is uphill and the walk down is very dark. Children need to be on shoulders or kept close with hands held when exiting. Drinks are pricey but strong. I recommend one of the frozen drinks. This is 100% outside but even in the summer it was very comfortable, no bugs, etc. There is a smoking section outside the park. The park also does not take cash. Make arrangements before hand bc the credit card they converted my cash onto (for free) worked elsewhere, but did not actually work at their concession stand.
Al Rem
Great amphitheater. Sound system was good. Food and drinks options were nice
Hastings Henderson
This is a magnificent, beautiful concert venue. I saw Australian Pink Floyd and what a magical performance. The old outdoor amphitheater has good acoustics and isn't too big. Highly recommend.
Ray Lane
The show was AWESOME. The venue was average at best. The tricked us into paying more for a table seat, which when we arrived, was the same seat as the rest, with a dirty, rickety folding table, blocking the aisle way... it was ridiculous, and likely a fire hazard. The food and drinks were horrifying. A $4 tiny bag of horribly stale popcorn, a $7 “jumbo” hot dog, which was a regular store bought 25 cent dog on a soggy bun. Absolute rip-off, but other bring in good shows.

Love this amphitheater at Chastain Park. Easy to get to and easy to get out. Parking runs $20-$30. It's also nice that for most shows you can bring your own food and beverage. I've seen Alice Cooper and Adam Sandler there. The seats are a little tough, suggest bringing a seat pad. The lawn is has some stadium seating structure instead of the typical slanted lawns at most amphitheaters. Bring your blankets. Shows typically don't start on time as they open gates 1 hour before the show is scheduled, not leaving much time for people to get in, get concessions, bathroom, and visit the merchandise booth. While you can bring in food/drink most of the time, it might not be feasible on week night shows with people coming from work. One show started over 30 mins late and they were still trying to urge people to get in their seats because the place looked so empty to the artists performing. Food and drink prices are decent, comparable to most venues.
Dominick Villano
Perfect place for a more intimate experience with the artists and crowd. Food is insanely expensive but that's just how they make extra money. Best is to go to lunch or dinner right before this place. Bring a hat and shades, the seating is in the open sun.
David Cross
It's still Chastain Park no matter the name change.
Parking is not that good, but the Outdoor Theater experience it's worth going for to see a concert here in Atlanta.
We went to see Maxwell and Ambrosia and the concert was incredible. The weather however not so much as it was freezing cold. We managed by huddling together and focusing on enjoying a great experience.
Overall it's still a great place to see an outdoor concert. Just be prepared for a long walk
Ruben Perez
Chastain Park Amphitheater is a great venue to see any show. Unfortunately parking is poor but nothing an Uber, Lyft, or taxi ride can't solve. The seating is awesome and the isle between rows has enough room that one can walk by without the row havong to stand as they go by. If you're visiting from outside Atlanta area, the Amphitheater close to resturants and hotels in Buckhead.
Thomas Hinson
Love their "table" shows! Bring a small cooler in and enjoy some good music. Plenty of parking and great live venue. Lawn section is smaller than appears on the layout. If you expect a packed house and your doing lawn...get there early.
James Nguyen
Really cool, spacious yet intimate venue. Saw Rex orange county in here and it was truly memorable.
Patrice Smith
This is my second time to come to this venue. 10 months ago I saw the Revolution 3 Tour, with Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and The Cult. I really like the venue, with the exception of the restrooms by Gate 1. They are not air conditioned. Later, I found another set that are, but just a heads up. There was great sound and you feel really close to the performers. I even got to TOUCH one of the singers I came to see. Jeff Gutt of Stone Temple Pilots. He came out into the Audience and Gavin Rossdale did as well ! It was Amazing.
Grace Myers
This place is amazing.
I may be biased because I've only been here to see Josh Groban (🤩), but it was a genuinely amazing experience.
There are four entrances to the Amphitheater, which seems to be a guarded secret. Gate 2 was PACKED with people waiting to scan tickets, but gate 4 was wide open.
There were concessions available (including adult beverages), but they were asking $13 for a 12oz spiked lemonade, so I'll let you use your better judgment there.
Overall, I had a fantastic time and can't wait for another exceptional artist to entice my return.
Trina Dillard
Awesome Venue! Customer service is superb. Love the "table" concerts. All seats are great and the vibe is euphoric.
Only gripe is parking.. Get there at least one hour before the show begins and u should be good to go!
Greg Goss
Great venue! Lots of seat room. Not as cramped as other amphitheaters. Plenty of food and drink options. Great surrounding area.
scott wilson
Went to see ZZ Top. Had a weather delay but the venue and Mayor worked together to make it a success. However my biggest complaint is the lack of video screens. The 2 screens are small and not size appropriate. You could take down the signs on each side the the stage and mount 2 more large jumbotrons so people in the lawn and rows Aa and back can enjoy their experience.
Winn High
Common along with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was fantastic . A beautiful night under the star . The music , sights and sounds were terrific . Looking forward to the next event .
Ava
Being an ATL native, I was surprised I had never been to Chastain before this year. We had tickets to see Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, super exciting but we were rained out after four songs.
I plan on updating my review when we see the show again in September but here is what I gathered from my brief time there.
From what I have heard from others, Chastain has changed their rules over the last year or so. Apparently for certain shows you can bring coolers - not this show.
You can not really bring in any personal bags. Think fanny packs only!
The food/beverage lines are so ridiculously slow. It is clear this venue was built for people to BYOB. Even water takes at least 30 mins to purchase - a total bummer when we found out that the venue lets you bring in your own reusable water bottle!!
Redd Beard
Enjoyed Trombone Shorty.
Great sound
Nice crowd
Kurt Nikolas
Great smaller venue for concerts. If your show gets rain they may delay it (1 hour in my case) but fortunately the mayor allowed the show to go to 11:30pm so we got a hour instead of reschedule.
Laurie Journeaux
We have always had an amazing time attending concerts here and there are plenty of rest rooms available. People are so kind and friendly too!
Randal Hartsfield
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss were fantastic. Venue and weather could not have been any better. Everyone was extremely friendly.
Jennifer Scanlin
Great venue...pretty much any seat in the house will have at least a decent view; sound is of high quality. Seats are not the most comfortable so recommend bringing some type of cushion that you can get for concerts/games or a blanket for padding (if you intend to sit for most of the show). Some shows allow you to bring outside food and drinks, definitely check beforehand as it is very much worth it! Free parking is available if you go all the way to the venue entrance!! There is a ton of paid parking further out that I think people see first and end up utilizing.
Nick LaPinta
My wife and I seen a retro 80s show here a week ago and I really enjoyed everything about it. The show was great. The buildings layout was as really nice and convenient. Restrooms are a short walk away with plenty of room (mens room). Drink stand by the restrooms and food stands with drinks available as well right around the corner. The sound quality was real clear and the stats where comfortable. I seems some seats came with tables and extra chairs for picnics. This place was definitely worth going to and we will come back out here again, for sure! There was also a merch stand. I didn't go to it, so I cant speak on it. But there was one! Everything was clean and all the employees where very kind!
Chloe Ieong
This is a cute lil venue/ amphitheater. It exudes a intimate feel and friendly setting. Although the merch line at this concert had one of the longest lines I've seen. I would hope they place more booths for customers to purchase inventory with easier practical efficiency.
Thomas Gasque
First time my wife and I been to this place and we loved it. Traffic was heavy but moved quickly. Parking is $20 across the street and you get can get a ride on a go cart. We tiped the kid $5 bucks. Free parking is at the venue but you probably have to get there pretty early. You can bring your on food and beverages in a cooler but always check on the website before you go. We were 15 feet from the stage which had tables. They are a little crowded but you get use to it. The sound was amazing not over the top. We had fun. 😊
Melanie Myers
Went to the The Cult/Bush/STP show. Parking was $25 and $5 for water! That is way too much for the event. Bathrooms were clean. Our seats had backs, but we're very close together. I would recommend bringing a cushion. Still had a great time and the staff was pleasant.
Ana Silva
Great view, great song quality. Some concerts allows you to bring a cooler and food, which makes it an amazing experience.
Stacey Chadwell
One of the nicest and oldest amphitheaters in the Atlanta area. Surrounded by a lovely neighborhood, which is why events end promptly at 11pm. Bring an umbrella in case of rain unless dangerous, the show will go on. Some shows allow for table set up and bringing food and drink in. In the past, I have seen candles, wine glasses, and silverware and china on white table cloth on small tables people brought in. Other shows do not allow food to be brought in, but offer concessions such as pizza, hotdogs, and etc. Call or check the web to see which set up is for your show. Amphitheater stage offers great sound. They offer season tickets online. This is my favorite place to see shows.
Brittany H.
This place is SO TUCKED AWAY and I love it! Food was cheap, the lawn seats provided a great view, and the atmosphere was very chill (as chill as Adam Sandler stand-up allows). I definitely can't wait to visit this venue again. The only downside is getting there & getting out - it's a little complicated and hard to navigate, especially post-show. I would have appreciated more staff assisting at the show's end.
Katie Corsaut
A nice stadium for the summer time! My boyfriend and I went here for a Lindsay Sterling and Evanescence concert in August, and the acoustics for the stadium were not half bad. Seating was great with a lot of leg room and a nice patio/bar area behind the stage
Chad McCool
Hands down my favorite venue in Georgia. It just has a great atmosphere and there are no bad seats in the House. Also, there's plenty of reasonably priced parking very close by.
HP Jacket
Still great after all these years. Live Nation invested some $$ last year to upgrade bathrooms and concessions. only negative is the old tiny inadequate video screens remain. Center Orch seats remain the best in ATL. plenty of room and good sound. Ride share arrangements are. PITA. Best to walk a few blocks for your ride home. Be aware that all shows get shutdown at present times per city ordinance. Treat yourself to a show at Chastain Park Amphitheater!
Ann_Gee
All the years I lived in Atlanta and this was my first time at Chastian. It was nice and cozy with great seating. I didn't feel stuffed in since there is walking room between the aisles. Now getting out is a challenge. Follow the exact same path you used to get in. Police escort traffic in and out. I will definitely go back!
Megan King
Lovely venue. Clean and well equipped restrooms. Good food/drink service. Comfortably spaced rows. Great visibility of stage.
Steve M.
Great venue with lots of legroom! Very pretty setting and area. All seats are good.
Mrs. Cummings
The venue and concert were everything. The parking was horrible. It was my first time there, so I know now how to better prepare for parking and traffic. I also know where to always sit for rain or shine performances.
Dan Orchard
Great outdoor amphitheater but there are several issues to consider before attending a show there.
Parking can be an issue but my chief complaint is the audience members who talk through the whole show thereby disrupting the enjoyment of those around them. An occassional comment about the show is to be expected, however constant chatter is rude and inconsiderate. For some reason this situation happens at Chastion at every show. I suspect it has to do with how Chastion sells ticket packages to several shows, and some attendees don't know or care who is onstage which makes it very frustrating to true fans of the artist they paid to see and hear.
The venue itself is a classic though access can be difficult due to stairs and bottleneck traffic areas.
When the weather is good, and fellow patrons are quiet this venue can be a real treat, however you should be prepared to suffer through inconsiderate neighbors. If the artist you want to see has quiet songs don't bother seeing them at Chastain!
Seating is reasonably comfortable, but be aware there are no armrests or cup holders, which means you may be shoulder to shoulder with your neighbor, problematic when hit and humid. Some shows will allow you to bring a cooler which is nice, but be prepared to carry, rather than roll, your cooler due to stairs.
Those with mobility issues should avoid this venue as there is little or no consideration for the handicap.
Also, the amphitheater is in a neighborhood, there is a noise ordinance curfew at 11pm. Shows start early and end early because of that.
Andrea Steck (Andee)
Smallish venue (big plus) and great vantage point from just about any seat. Bring a cooler and eats, hang out and enjoy some good music. What else could you ask for?
Emily Vong
Nice laid back venue, lots of room to bring cooler and picnic if sitting in the orchestra. Sound quality is decent. The "lawn" is nothing more than a few wooden bleachers so I wouldn't recommend. Try to get seats as low to the stage as possible so the awning and light fixtures are not blocking the view. Ample bathrooms and concession stands with reasonable prices. Plenty of free parking on the street but it was a relatively low key show. Otherwise lot parking is about $20. Even then, driving yourself is probably the cheapest way compared to taxi, uber, etc. Will definitely go back for another good show.
Tracie McGee-Benton
I love Chastain but the parking and the line waiting to park is TERRIBLE. If your show starts at 7:30, get there at 6:00, trust me, you won't be sorry! We heard Anthony Hamilton from the road because we sat in the parking line for an hour, we didn't get to our seats until 9:00pm...lesson learned.
Scott Cornett
First time visit. Awesome venue. I really enjoyed how it was setup and is definitely unique for the area. Not really a bad seat in the house and plenty of leg room.
Ken Howell
I always enjoy shows here, even though they seem to have to end before 11 PM. I get why, it is nestled in the apparent middle of several subdivisions and nice houses, so noise ordinances will be strict. It's a little tough to navigate the roads surrounding the area, so early arrival and late departure is suggested (or the patience to sit for a bit in traffic)
Jay Forman
Nice venue, very good acoustics. Excellent show from 10,000 Maniacs. Now that Live Nation has their fingers in this location it's only a matter of time before it becomes cost prohibitive to attend a concert there. I know of extremely long term ticket holders that are bailing due to Live Nation now being involved in the business. It was fun while it lasted.
Jason Butler
That was my first concert ( Anthony Hamilton) & experience it with my wife. Great atmosphere, great show.
Joshua Hood
Best place in the entire Southeast to go watch live music. Pay for a picnic table, pack a nice lunch bottle of wine or some beer and it becomes a lovely evening out. Parking is a bit of an issue and traffic around the area gets busy, plus they have to shut it down early because it's right in the middle of a nice neighborhood.
Genie Burnett
Great Australian Pink Floyd show! And we got to bring in the snacks! Keep it up!
Mary Barenklau (Su Z Que)
I have waited since 8th grade year to see this band.. Finally got to!!! For my 40th birthday!! Incredible!!!
Sharon Tooson
Love the atmosphere and concerts under the stars. No bad seats. Come with your favorite drinks and food depending on the performance. Cool place
Dale Hall
Awesome concert venue!! Sound and acoustics are great. Food is decent and not overly expensive. Good beer, wine, alcohol selection. Not a bad seat in the house.
Richard Daly
We've always enjoyed Chastain as a concert venue. It's much smaller than the other "mega" amphitheaters near Atlanta and thus doesn't have anywhere near the traffic congestion. We've been to two shows this month (June '22) and neither one permitted coolers being brought in. The prices for drinks at the concession stands are just plain ridiculous and greedy, so Chastain doesn't get 5 stars.
Jared Young
I’ve been to quite a few concerts here and it is by far my favorite concert venue in Atlanta. Easy to get to and while there are pricey parking lots, you can also find plenty of free parking near the actual park. Not to mention at most events you can bring in your own food and drinks. Even Evanescence was enjoyable (sort of)!
Joanne Gaw
First time here to see Josh Groban and Sarah McLachlan. Great venue. Easy parking and walk. Beautiful surroundings. Great atmosphere for summer outdoor concert. Awesome acoustics. Loved it!
David Champagne
Parking is the biggest headache at this well established and historic venue. Get there early. Occasionally patrons are allowed to bring in their own outside food and beverages. Still one of Atlanta's best outside venues.
Mel May
Plant Krauss concert was great until the rain came.
Billy Galligan
Parking is a bit of a nightmare but otherwise good
Jamey Davis
Great small venue. Fun and relaxed. No issues going in, no issues inside. Great show!
Patrick Tisdel
You can bring your own food and drinks, which is good because the offerings there are overpriced. The outdoor arena itself is pretty nice, with designated seats.
Chae Beezy
I had fun while there but the seats were so close to one another it made me grateful the event wasnt sold out. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Mark Davies
Great atmosphere for a concert, smaller venue gives an up close feel. Saw Michael McDonald and Boz Skaggs and they were both great. Definitely makes us WA t to come back.
Erin Dukes
Seating is great; it's hard to get a bad view at this park. Surrounded by trees and nature, it's really got a great vibe. My biggest problem is that the staff are ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. They wouldn't let us bring in a very small bag that could be worn as a backpack or purse, and yet we saw many other people with actual backpacks inside. They also won't even let you vape in the ampatheater area, you have to go outside one of the gates to do that. There were both security guards and cops on the inside, both taking their jobs way too seriously if you ask me.
We we're worried about parking, but it really wasn't a problem. We paid the $20 to park at a lot nearby, so we only had to walk about a quarter of a mile, up and down a few hills. There is parking directly across from one of the gates for easier access on foot, but it's a bit harder to get in and out of with your car. Still, the traffic wasn't horrible coming in or out, though it was present so definitely leave yourself an extra 15 minutes to deal with that.
Make sure you get your merch early, if you're going to, because the merch booth is in a TERRIBLE location where the line directly blocks a major thoroughfare. It's miserable. This is the case with several of their drink vendors too, but luckily there are a lot of alternative options if you don't want to get run over.
Bathrooms were nice and kept pretty clean throughout the night- there are multiple options here too if the line ever backs up, but even then the line goes fast because there are so many stalls.
All in all, if you keep your nose clean and don't try to bring anything in, or smoke, or cross a security guard, this is a great venue. Seats are pretty uncomfortable, so either bring padding or do a lot of dancing!!
Briar Rose
The visit last night was so much easier because I took Uber. My past complaints about the venue always surrounded the parking and walking. Last night was perfect (staff, sound, atmosphere).
Nita Juárez
Loved the area. Was clean and huge. You can bring food and buy food. I think this is one of the best places for summer shows
Chase Brinson
Fantastic venue where the sound is great every where. We went to a concert 3 years ago and now we try and go to 2 summers series shoes every year. Yacht Rock is a staple!!!
Andria DB
Great venue in a nice safe neighborhood but not much parking space and no free parking lot.
Brandon Echols
Brand New was incredible & Modest Mouse were good too. Sound was well done, and overall a very cool venue.
Jason Chandler
Great venue with easy parking and ever seat in the house is great. Tables for "6" are super tight, really best for 4 or less
JOSEPH GUMENY
Love this place! Great concert venue. Great staff. Convenient parking $20-$25. Concession prices are ridiculous though!
Canija White
I’ve been here for Boyz II Men & En Vouge, and Charlie Wilson. Great venue!
Kay M
Absolutly love the outdoor concert!!! Was such a great experience
Kevin Franklin
Very good venue. Very high prices for everything, though
candice kirkpatrick
Fabulous experience! The staff here are always courteous and professional, I will always support this venue as a top choice for seeing a concert! Highly recommend
Bill Cheatham
Atlanta’s best outdoor amphitheater! Intimate setting, usually allows you you bring your own snacks and drinks!
American TradeMasters Group
First time. Venue built in 1944 wide aisles, comfortable, cozy. Very incredible to watch Robert Plant.
Joe G.
Beautiful venue that lets you bring your own food and wine. Great for a romantic evening under the stars listening to great music.
Michael Klinksiek
Amazing outdoor experience for enjoying music!! Beverages are pricey
jhamal smith
Went to see Dnice and his club Quarantine at the venue
James Facemyer
There is not a bad seat in the house, just saw collective soul, 3 doors down and soul asylum. Very very good.
Unawarefruit
Love it here! Awesome Indigo Girls concert! I will say, their lawn section was not very lawn-y.
Ben Jeffries
I like the acoustics in this park and the staff is excellent. The seating is very tight for anybody that weighs over 100 lbs. I was too close to a lady I never met before on a warm July day. There was a few empty seats in front of us so we moved down for more room.
You can bring water, food, wine and up to a pint of liquor. That is one of the best things about this venue.
Jason Whitworth
Great Amphitheater lots of legroom not a bad seat in the house
Jessica Burnett
Wow! Great space for an outdoor show. I saw John Legend here and even with orchestra seats I had a fantastic view of the stage. There truly is no bad seat here, the food vendors have a wide variety of familiar fast food and healthier options, and there is a full bar! Some guests even set up tables with a display of food and drinks. Great location! Good security & parking (roughly $20) is available in the surrounding locations.
Marilyn K
I had a grear time at the Anthony Hamilton concert Labor Day weekwns!
Mike Brackett
Beautiful venue in nice part of town. Easy to get to. We bring a picnic very early and find a nice table in the park. Getting out after the concert can be slow but people are generally kind and allow you in. Some seasons are great, some you have to be more selective. All in all a very pleasant time close to musicians of incredible talent.
Teri Abbey
I love being allowed to bring your own cooler, dinner, drinks, etc. We brought small cushions to make the hard seats a bit more comfortable.
There are table seats that look fun but they also looked like people really has to squeeeeeze in to fit. We loved our seats just a few rows behind the table seats.
The facilities were relatively clean overall. We arrived early so parking wouldn't be a problem. It cost $25 to park in the lot so carpool if you can!
Chris Ryals
Great venue and friendly staff
Marlene Brooks
Went to the Charlie Wilson concert here and it was very nice. You can bring your own food and drinks if you like. The seating was decent. It can be hard to find parking but they did have people on carts that will give you a ride up the hill for a tip.
Andrea Bacon
I absolutely love this amphitheater, it's one of my favorites. The upgrades that they did to the concession and women bathroom are a really great addition.
Steve Peters
Great venue for music. We had a beautiful night and great show w Bonnie Raitt
ricky colter
Love this outdoor venue! The fact that you can be outside and bring your own food and drinks is exceptional in this day and age! Seems like most seats are provide a great view! They bring in a variety of acts!
Brandy Steele
Great venue. Seat set up is fabulous. The Bush and Live show was killer. Ease to get around is ok. Bathrooms are maintained, but a little far from seats. Alcohol is pricey. So is the parking. You are basically parking at the schools and nearby parks for a $20 to $25 fee.
We were really impressed with the young kids offering rides to the venue for tips on their golf carts. That was very helpful and such a great business idea.
Christine S
Loved this little tucked away concert venue. Very clean, bright, cheery atmosphere. Very laid back environment. I loved the security staff! The vendors were also friendly as well. Everyone was super helpful with navigating the venue, and the bathrooms were fairly clean for servicing so many patrons. Would return!
Jennifer Xu
John Legend at Chastain park! Great venue, completely outdoors, plenty of leg room, great sound and atmosphere. Many people brought their own dinner, drinks, and candles for a nice dinner and show.
Avaria Jordan
Was there for the first time with my CQ Family...Club Quarantine. The entire night was epic.
T M (TLM)
We went to see Charlie Wilson Friday night and had a great time! We will be back! Sound and lighting was great! Venue is nice and we got there about 45 min early to make sure we had a close parking spot for $25. Open cooler option is perfect, so you can bring your own wine and food! Hopefully we can catch Maxwell's concert there this month!
Chad Herndon
Make sure to check ahead whether you're going to a table and picnic concert or a regular concert. That will inform you whether or not you can bring a picnic.
Tifany Coleman
This was actually my first visit. It's a great venue. Parking was easy (a bit expensive 25$) and the seating was surprisingly good. I didnt have great seats -or so I though- but I could still see the stage clearly. Also, the aisles were wide enough that people weren't crunching your feet trying to get by. All in all - great place!
Megan Cagle
Such an amazing venue! It is a little bit in the middle of nowhere suburbia, but this is hands down my FAVORITE concert venue. It is small, parking is easy, the music sounds great, and there is literally not a bad seat in the place! Even sitting in the very back row, you would have a very good view, and close, too! Plus, the seats are spaced far enough apart to allow for tables. Not all concerts there allow tables, but for those that don’t, you end up having soooo much legroom! I’ve never been more comfortable at a concert in my life!
Robert Carnes
I attended my first concert at Chastain earlier this week and highly enjoyed it. The venue is nice, as were the acoustics. They had decent food and drinks, even though they were overpriced. There's a good deal of parking close by, but it is tough to get out because of how tight everything is in Buckhead.
Regina McCormick
Incredible venue - great sound and plenty of space, plenty of stalls in clean bathrooms, very friendly and helpful staff, awesome food/drink choices. However, I had heard that crowds at this venue were noisy - and all the reports were very accurate. If they didn't know the song - they were talking, loudly. Very unfortunate. Maybe they could make an announcement on etiquette prior to shows, some folks travel far and save up much to be able to attend legendary performances in smaller venues like this one.
Hiroko “Hiro” Ortiz
There is no bad seat here in terms of sound. This time we had lawn tickets. The stage is far as you can see in thr photos but the sound was good.
With some concerts you can take your cooler bit with others you cannot. So check before you go.
I wish the restroom is more easily accessible from anywhere.
Overall this is a smaller buy nice venue.
Lynn Johnson
Excellent seating arrangement, not a bad seat in the house. We had great box seats. Parking was $25 for a few hours is a bit on the expensive side but worth it for me as we were able to quickly leave. I would recommend 2 major upgrades that can easily be applied: 1) Add bigger screens- at least 5 times bigger and 2) Need a covering, awning or canopy over the amphitheater for rain and sun protection, even if it is retractable. If these are done, you will see every event sold out and satisfied patrons! They can really afford to this this. Otherwise, it is worth a return revisit!
Raisa D'souza
It's a great space. Get yourself a raincoat if it's raining though. There is very limited area with rain cover.
BGSports Athletes
I forgot to mention that parking was $25 and limited. We got there early and still missed the start of the show. There was two entry ways and both where slow moving.
Steve K
Located within a residential neighborhood, parking is a bit weird, but not too tough if you don't mind walking a ways. If you don't like walking parking in a paid lot will set you back $20-$25.
The venue itself is outstanding! One of the best sounding rock concerts I have ever been too!!!
Because of it's location the concerts must end by a specific time, so shows start and end earlier than I am used to.
Lera Anderson
What a wonderful experience!! The show was phenomenal but I guess that's not what I'm here to review. Did not try the food so I can't comment on that but the event staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was well organized and seem to move efficiently. The amphitheater is really cute but not as big as I had originally imagined. Only gave 4 stars because there is a STRICT 11pm noise ordinance and parking was a stressful experience.
Dillan G
One of my favorite venues. People are always laid back an easy going. Easy to get in an out.
Wendy James
Great venue. The staff was friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Concessions are expensive so be prepared for that.
Matthew Landers
Great place to see a show. Nice amenities. Helpful staff. Very good food, although not enough. The cashier bragged about how good one item was only to be told it was sold out. This was one hour before the show! Parking wasn't terrible. The two screens up top - for the folks in the back, I guess, are old and need replacing.
Michael Harris
Amazing show
Sidnee Freeman
IT WAS GREAT. I get to say I saw one of my favorite artists of ALL time, COMMON!!!! He was amazing. Nice open venue. Seats were surprisingly comfortable. I think the LiveNation crew could of operated a little smoother but other than that it was awesome.
Hamid Barkah
Great place not for the handicap or the ones with knee or back issues it's very hard to clone the stairs the concert of Chicago was great
Shawn Dwyer
Venue was great, sounded fantastic, people working very friendly. Only thing that is tough, unless you want to go down super early, hard to find parking.
Y. Baker
Great outdoor concert venue with ample free parking options. I also appreciate the extra security though the pat-down process made me feel like a criminal. I also took offense to my mosquito repellent being confiscated though other patrons were allowed to bring in weed and blow big clouds of smoke all night.
leslie kimbell
I have attended multiple events at this theater over the years. I always find the employees to be extremely friendly and thorough. If it's the summer, don't forget to bring your bug spray! You can bring your own wine and food and enjoy a concert Under the Stars! I highly recommend this venue
Stephanie Flint
Don’t get me wrong, I love the venue itself but apparently since the switch to “State Bank” Amphitheater the quality of concessions has gone WAY down. When you are attending shows with a “Rock” set up and can’t bring things in it’s nice to at least have a wide variety of choices for beverages. Obviously Budweiser is the preferred sponsor and now controls what beverages are offered. Very few if any premium or craft brew options. They no longer even offer Sweetwater not to mention New Realm, Creature Comfort etc. Also, the choices they do have are offered in 24oz cans. They get hot really quickly IF they were even cold in the first place. For the price of tickets, especially if you are buying a series I would expect better options. The food choices were dismal, hot dogs, Nachos, etc. On a positive note, we just drank lots of water. We will definitely take this into account when series tickets are offered next year. Not sure I would bother again. There are too many good venues in this town with better options.
anita m
Up close and personal. Saw Earth wind and fire, and the Isly brothers , bring your Own dinner, get a table. Or buy your dinner and drinks. Really nice
tom hall
Great place to see a show! The layout is really cool. The drink prices are ridiculous though as they are at most places like this, only they are even higher here. $15.00 for a beer! You are allowed to bring a cooler with your own sometimes, so check online before you go.
Ed Williams
Love this venue - located in a nice, upscale part of Atlanta. Concerts under the stars!
Atlanta Native
I love rigging here for concerts!! This is a great venue for concerts and other live events. All seats are good. The audio is great too. Although the parking could be better for employees and contractors. The venue still gets a 5.
Toni Basaldu
Excellent flow. Even though this event had to have everyone's phone locked up....entry and exit was perfect and quick. We had close seats, however looks like all seats are good seats. We Ubered to the venue, nice and easy! Excellent sound for an outdoor amphitheater.
Nathan Whelan
Great concert but not the best acoustics.
Glen Decker
The show was amazing! Common, powered by the Atlanta Symphony, was fantastic, not to mention an amazing venue to see it in.
The symphony orchestra played perfectly alongside him while we skipped around a journey in time from 1992, to not even released yet, to made up off the tip, and back.
He peppered in some 'Resurrection' and"I Used to Love H.E.R.', tossed a little 'Light' from 'Like Water for Chocolate', 'The People' dropped a hello from' Finding Forever'... Not too mention 'Testify', 'Go', 'Glory', and some wicked freestyling... The list could go all night.
Borrow a dollar? You could have em' all Son!
Great show, and a great time.
Tammika Stewart
Attended Frankie Beverly and Maze show it was awesome! There's really no bad seat in the house. I sat in the orchestra center section with direct view of the stage. Glad we were able to bring small cooler with food and drinks.
Bruce Ralston
Great venue for live music! Carry-in option and table seating make for a wonderful, grown up experience. Perfect size (not too big and crowded, but still draws national acts) and consistently good sound.
Mike McKoy
I've yet to attend a concert but I love the area. As an Uber driver I've picked up a lot of people after concerts and have dropped off people before a show was to start. The people that attend this amphitheatre are normally elites with great charisma. The neighborhood the park is located in is very nice. I think many of the residences ate million dollar homes.
Rebecca Godwin
This was a great space and a great show! (Brandi Carlile, Secret Sisters, Shovels and Rope) just wish the crowd had been more friendly to dancing. In the tables set up people actually expect you to sit quietly through a rock concert!
Jacquelynn Alexis Barli
My all time favorite venue !! I’ve been to about 15-20 concerts here in the past 4 years of living in ATL :) outdoor, beautiful night sky, fun when tables / able to bring in your own food/ drinks (this isn’t for every concert. About to go see Earth Wind and Fire for the second time :) saw Jimmy Buffet , Sting, Lionel Richie And many more!! LOVE IT
Albert Hopkins
Great venue for good weather. Lack of shade options could be improved. Totally need to work on a connection between the left and right sides of the lawn seats more than ducking under some stairs. Food and drink prices are decent all things considered.
Andres Rodriguez
Great concert venue. Great sight lines with wide isles. The merch stands are small so there will be longer lines then other places. The food and drinks are nothing special either but I don't go to concerts for food.
Justin Mattingly
This is an absolutely gorgeous venue. On a cool night in early fall there are few things as nice as a concert outdoors. The ampitheater is easy to find and seating is ample, bathrooms are in easy reach, and the accoustics are perfect. I can't wait to see the lineup for fall!
Gene Ussery
The venue is great and parking even though challenging on occasion is not impossible. My biggest complaint are the people. I want to see the concert, that is the reason I go. I know it is outside, but there has become way too much socializing to the point that it is hard to hear the actual show. Get up and dance, sing have a good time. But screaming over the show to have a conversation just seems a little extreme. There are nice tables at concessions if you want to chat.
J26G
Staff welcoming and polite. Attended for New Edition concert. Stadium type seating. Concrete foundation vs aluminum. Uneven areas so dont go trying to look too cute in heels. Can bring drinks and snack but no glassware or real utensils allowed. Only plastic. I had a picnic basket and the staff was nice and educated me on it for the future, asked that I not use them that night. That was a nice alternative vs giving me a hard time and sending me back to the car. Felt safe. Area clean. Tight seating in double lettered area. Great time. Loved seeing people have fun. Real flames candles are allowed.
The GreenEggMan
A great venue. The sound was stellar, the seats were fab. No real complaints. Loved seeing Lake Street Dive here!
Julie U
Great venue. The table seating is very tight, comfortable for 4 but really tight for 6...especially if you bring a cooler. The sound was good. Many people seem to Uber/Lyft so the rideshare area was a bit of a bottleneck. Parking at the upper lot towards the exit will save you considerable time exiting.
Michelle Ghunmeyeen
Great spot! Not really a bad seat in the house!
Nick Swafford
If you attend a cooler concert it's fantastic. You can bring in your own food, drinks, etc and tray table for a fun evening that saves you hundreds over other venues when you consider the high prices of food and drinks at most concerts. Merchandise is the same high prices tho.
B Davenport Jr.
I like there policy of allowing food into the venue. People had whole picnics and it was a fun atmosphere. Verizon is much more modern and has better seating available but this was nice. Anthony Hamilton stole the show from Maze though
Donna Smith
Fun smaller venue. But acoustics are not that great
Amy Ochoa
I was pleasantly surprised by this venue. The seating is spacious and the weather was truly a blessing. My husband surprised me with tix to watch my favorite singer Charlie Wilson for our 19th anniversary. My love for Uncle Charlie has been instilled into my son's musical repertoire, so our youngest joined us and we had the time of our lives. The Amphitheatre was clean and accessible for all. I look forward to another experience at Chastain. Thank you to the staff and the performance was perfection.
Cassandra Lang
The only bad is not having a ramp for people who have coolers or wheelchairs. You have to enter through gate 1 and walk around.
Luke Rosetti
The venue is clean, seats well-kept, and the atmosphere is great. Sound carries extremely well. The staff are also friendly and hard-working. Great place for a concert/event, especially on a warm summer night.
Sebastian Denes
Great acoustics, almost everyone can have a good look at the scene. And combined with the possibility of bringing your own stuff in a cooler makes everything an unforgettable experience. One advise: if you can walk for 10 minutes, do not pay for parking on the spot but park for free, curbside, near the park.
Yvette Clayborne
Awesome experience Alicia Keys concert ♥
G.E LEWIS
A very nice venue tucked away in a upscale residential neighborhood. The Green room area was very nice and the catering was top notch. The PA system seemed very clear and good. I would Glady watch a show there, the seating was good, plenty of viewable angles and no obstructions. It is the only concert venue I have been to in ATL buy comparing it to others I have been to it is a good place.
M Ayers
Food wasn't that good. Paid $16 for a sandwich with tough bread and slaw that was horrible. Drink $5. Don't mind the price for more edible food. Not a lot of choices. Hopefully the remodel will be an improvement in the food too. The sound was amazing! Enjoyed the beautiful fall evening with Evanescene and my hubby. Good leg room in seating area.
Norman Evans III
Last night I saw the Bush concert. It wasn't a bad venue but alot of stairs. Smoking area is up the stairs out front. The Shirt vender is literally in the middle of the place. Going to the bathroom is kinda hectic. Other than that the atmosphere was good.
Sergio Pausa
Beautiful amphitheatre! Just wish there were more speakers so the shows can be louder.
Catherine LaVoy-Ouzts
Loved the venue. It was my first time at Chastain Park. I wish I would have known that I could have brought a cooler and food, a little picnic. We saw the Moody Blues in concert. The sound seemed off and the man sitting beside me talked throughout the entire concert, which was annoying. Overall, the venue was great. I would love to go another concert at Chastain Park. Food at the venue was pricey.
David Taylor
Formerly known as simply, "Chastain Amphitheater," this open air venue offers an intimate experience while still having a larger capacity (around 6900). Dress for the weather as summer shows can get quite hot or wet. Generally accommodating staff and typical concert concessions available. The area for "lawn" seats is tiny and are quite far from the stage when compared to larger venues such as Lakewood.
william robinson
I loved the Common concert. The cost of food and beer was high. But that's to be expected in a concert venue. But there should be responsible cost for others who may not have or may not want to pay inflated prices. Give consumer more options.
Lib N Me
First time going to Chastain. Loved it! I went to
Pink Floyd-cover band. Sound was excellent! Surrounded by MULTI-MILLION dollar homes, it's hard not to stair. Only problem is it's deep inside a residential neighborhood Winding roads, expensive concession prices and expensive $25 dollar parking..bring your own snacks or beverages. Helpful staff are a plus. Becarful of the stone and deep steps.
Dawlish carmauta
Summer concerts are best at this venue
angelica roberts
Awesome Time....
The venue was great as always!!!
Love the upgrade.
wanda brown
Frankie Beverly and Maze concert was great. Seating space at Chastain Park Ampitheatre was very tight. We sat on row B. Great seats relative to distance from the stage, but this row has super high traffic throughout the entire show. I do not recommend seats on this row.
RêK HaVoK
Amazing venue for setting a show. Still needs work upgrading, but not bad for a venue that has been around since the '40's. No bad seat in the house and great sound. LOVE this venue ... just finish updating.
Thalia Woodson
3 couples set up a lovely spread of food...appetizers, wine, cheese and mood lighting to see Jill Scott. What an amazing night! Great memory.
DeeDee Smith
Live Nation staff friendly, helpful and personable. I have Stage IV cancer and they were so kind and "kept an eye on me" in case I needed help. Thanks! Venue, 75 miles north of Newnan, was awesome! Clean, good traffic flow, helpful parking attendants. Sound?...Frampton rocked and not a bad seat in the venue🤩 …
Janeene
Superb! Common w/ the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra was remarkable.
Sheri Curtis
Great place to go for a concert!! Not a bad seat.
Stefan Attaway
Clean and open small venue, it's nice to be able to bring food and wine. I would recommend seeing not so popular bands as when it's not crowded you can spread out and make a loud joyful noise onto the crowd. Only disappointment was some petite male ATL cop making an arse out of himself by yelling at our uber driver, however that is not their security at the gate which were all fantatically through and very kind. Great experience
Meli Brown
Had lawn seats. We were on the side with very little grass, on the bottom row of the retaining walls that are set up for lawn seating. The railing in front of us was in my direct line of sight the entire time, which was pretty frustrating. The food and drinks were good, and they were priced pretty much like any other venue. I did like the way the concessions were set up, that whole area looks very updated, and there were some seating options available. I found a phone in the ladies' restroom and brought it to an Amphitheater employee, and she didn't know what to do with it. Brought it to someone else, she didn't know what to do with it either, but she took it to try and find lost and found. I dont like that you can't step outside of the gates to the venue because they won't let you back in. I was trying to say hi to some musician friends of mine that were playing a show there, and the gate attendant wouldn't let me step outside the gate to wave at my friends.
MartinandDeborah Werr
Been to a couple concerts (Alt-J, Jeff Beck) at this cool little venue in the park. It's located in a neighborhood, so there's minimal parking. Get there very early or Uber in. Food concessions are less than wonderful so bring your own (acts vary on bringing stuff in so double check with the venue) or order in advance from Proof of the Pudding.
Tyler Stanley
This place is an awesome outside arena for shows. The Coheed and Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, and Story So Far show was epic.
My only complaint is that there is a noise ordinance which didn't allow the concert to go beyond 11pm.
Tom
Saw Lauryn Hill here, beautiful night, friendly bartenders, couldn't be a better venue for a monumental and historic (20 year anniversary tour of Mis-education) concert. It is outdoor, all uncovered so weather can be an issue, but on a beautiful night, great place for a concert.
Kimberly Dixon
Nice surprise, came to see George Benson and Boney James for an extra treat Will Downing and Regina Bell.
Lisa Lewis
The amphitheater Is very nice. Restrooms drinks and food right there as you walk in
Getting in was quick, and easy the staff keep the people moving. Staff always willing to show you to your table, or seat.
Greg Layton
Nice concert venue. A bit dated and parking is a pain. But it has good sound and brings in some great bands. Also nice to be able to bring in your own coolers for some events.
Sami Parker
Very nice venue. Plenty of clean restrooms. Handicap accessible. Loads of adult beverage choices. Great layout with ample leg room. Only negative issue was zero healthy food choices.
Mark Knophfler rocked!!!
Dianne Bray
Love this venue. I've been going to concerts here since I was a teenager. It's one of my favorite places to see a concert. Not really a bad seat in thecentire venue and the sound is nice. And plenty of parking!!
Cameron Luna
Everyone has their own individual seats, except for the lawn sesting. I couldn't even see the lawn seating, so I assume it was so far back that they wouldn't be very good. I didn't have the closest seat but it was a nice experience. Not one of the best amphitheaters I've been to.
Mary Fifield
We went to the Lionel Richie Concert Last week and It was Awesome. I am an Atlanta native that has been to Chastain Amphitheatre many times thru the years. Its always a good experience. This was the first time we have sat in the "Lawn Area". There was very little Lawn. Ticket cost keep rising so we are sitting farther and farther away from the stage. Of course we stood most of concert but still those seats werent cheap. I work for a event company and we had grass problems so we had astro turf installed. Made a huge difference!!Also the screens need to be bigger!! We love concerts but probably wont buy "Lawn Seats" again!!
Bailey Eubanks
I’ve been to many a music venue and this one stood out to me. Nestled beneath the tall trees of the Park and offering a great time not only by the atmosphere but BYOB, food, & anything really for that matter! A must do if you can catch your favorite band.
Doug Gravino
Nice outdoor amphitheater that's a great venue for summer evening concerts. Lots of people show up with coolers full of drinks and food for picnics before and during the show. Only problem really is that parking can be a pain but the solution is just to show up early.
Gary Shaw
What a nice venue...... Just saw Josh Groban with ASO what great acoustics.
How cool is it to be able to carry coolers and snacks to a concert. Makes you feel at home!!!! Very helpful staff. Great location! Spacious seating. Even in the rain was a great time!
Jill Switch
Great open air venue. Small enough that every seat is a good one.
Lisa Ezzard
Love Love Love this place!!!!! Can bring food to most concerts, clean and new food court area with alcoholic beverages. Best to arrive extra early if you want free parking which is available in gravel lot ajdacent to gym and baseball fields. Other free spits along back side of playground area on one way street . Once spits r filled expect to pay ,20 for parking. Check website for things you can bring in so you do not cause yourself inconvenience. A good tip try to purchase tickets after row P on right side of orchestra if worried about rain that's the only spot where there is a awning.Bring portable small fan if u r hot natured
Sherry Ramsey
Lionel Richie concert with all I thought it should be. It was amazing
Jamarla Bess
Totally appreciated the golf cart service that went around the entire parking areas near the park so that those who were parked far off would not have to walk as far and be delivered straight to the front gate. I also appreciated the fast lane for T-Mobile, and the options for food if you forgot to pack any.
Candice McCollough
Nice venue, though difficult to get to. It's in the middle of a neighborhood so parking can be extremely limited and expensive. Good beer selection in the concessions, though expectedly overpriced. They do not allow you to leave and come back (no wrist bands or stamps) and they are a straw-free venue.
Renee Warren
My first time there. Went alone. Met a nice person that needed a ticket and i had an extra one. We had a great time. There for the Isley Brothers concert. Would go again. Parking is a beast.
Jermain R
Great place! First time there a month ago, was there to see the isley brothers which was a hit. Man the years he called out threw me for a loop and how old but still able to bust a tune was surprising. Great place hope to visit again for another concert.
Ginger
Pros: Really nice open air venue with a clear view of the stage and ample leg room and space between rows. People's heads won't block you if you're short.
Cons: Security needs to be more present. My concert experienced was completely ruined by a drunk guy behind me who harassed me and my friend continually. At first he was passive-aggressive, and then he yelled in our face and physically threatened us. We reported this to security, but they said they couldn't do anything about it unless we knew the guy's name.
Bobbi Jo Conigliaro
One of my favorite places to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house and its tucked away inside a gorgeous residential neighborhood. Beers and drinks are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend finding an excuse to go!
Sheena Parker
It's a nice little venue. The seats are a little uncomfortable after awhile, they have concessions all over. It's uncovered, so monitor the weather and bring supplies accordingly... umbrella, rain jacket, etc. It's expensive, like other places. There are a ton of fast food places to eat near by. Parking is a pain, most of the lots are $25.
Crystalrose T
Honestly this place is super dated. The TV's on each side of the stage could easily be 4 times as large and that would be a massive improvement on the qualit of ahow that you can see from anywhere in the amphitheater. It also would not detract from the current sound quality or presence of fhe stage. I was lucky to see an amazing concert and that helped but the dated feeling of the technology is a massive draw back. The screens behind the performers were much lower than what they should have been and it was even stated by one of the performers. Considering the area a few improvements would go a long way from the high school atmosphere it currently has.
Timothy Thomas
It's a good venue for concerts, especially when they have the setup without the picnic tables. The negatives are the hard stops when it comes to the end of the concert. But that's true with most of the outdoor venues.
Paul T Clark
Get there early for a good parking spot. On most events, you can bring in adult drinks. The seats are wide and the aisles too. Expect to walk up and down stairs. The facility is lower than the surrounding areas.
Sandy White
Saw non other than the amazing Uncle Charlie Wilson! The concert was as awesome as expected on a hot summer night. I always enjoy Chastain when I get the opportunity to go. Took Uber for a change and it was a great experience.
Bill Webb
Great outdoor venue with great free parking unless you're not toooo bright and try to get there 30 minutes before they start playing! Haha
Plenty of drink and eat options and even chair rental if you want!
highly recommend
BRIAN EZELL
Great venue! Sound is amazing, you can see from pretty much every seat in the house. Parking is the only issue, especially if it's your first time.
Emily K
First time since they management change at chastain. I did not see noted changes but the sound system was good and the remodeled bathrooms were plenty and clean. WiFi system was not very good as it took a while to get my credit card purchases approved. Overall it’s chastain and its lovely to just be outside with great music lineup.
Robert Kelly
A great venue with built in seating (there is a small lawn). Many showes allow coolers, tables, food, and alchohol. We have seen many concerts here. Always a good show. Almost no bad seats.
Chris Kiefer
2018 update is nice. I tend to stay right side, so I can't report on major left side concession upgrades. But now there's a giant screen behind the stage with multiple we'll managed cameras. Real production crew presenting a good screen show!
Andrea Lynn (Minister of Magic)
Great great night and show! Perfect outdoor venue with great parking
Sandra McQueen
Went to my first concert a few weeks ago and loved it. Amazingly I have lived in Atlanta for over 20 yrs and had not been there before. Loved it and looking for more events to go again.
Shana Lee
I loving attending concerts here! The seating is great. You can bring your own food and drink to enjoy. The parking is a little challenging so get there early!
John Griscom
I love this place! It's an older venue, but much more laid back and relaxed than anything else I've been to. Cant wait to see the next years concert series.
jonathan butler
Really great place, wish we would have visited sooner. Everyone gets a seat! Which is great cause I'm getting old!! You can still bring your cooler. People all around us with candles and tv dinner trays. Only downside was $13 for a beer?! Come on.
81DaddyMac
There is no more classic and intimate a venue in Atlanta than Chastain. No matter how the name changes over the years, this place will always be Chastain Park Ampitheatre to me. Recent renovations and new ownership has revitalized an historic concert venue without removing any of the charm and intimacy. And the concert season this year has been fantastic.
Patrick Boyd
Nice venue
Virtually every seat is a good seat
Virgil Pearson
Entertainment/musicianship was top notch. Venue is over monetized. We had to negotiate with the other people at our table for space. We sat in the 2nd tier of tables. No way 6 people can be comfortable. Guest experience/comfort way better at Wolfcreek. Going there next week, hope they don't start cramming people together like that.
Marlene Mackey
Parking was $25, which I think is excessive. We were not allowed to bring in food or snacks
Tanya Le GoldKey Ent
Great time at this Umphrey Mcgree Show last year. The Bathrooms were clean and we'll maintained. I thought parking was going to be be worse but actually not a big deal. Staff was friendly. Wish the sound was a little better.
Jerri Moore Dutton
Great venue for concerts. Added security was a nice add on. However wish the drinks were not as expensive as they were. Overall had a good time.
REJ
Went to go see El DeBarge and Charlie Wilson. The venue is huge and very nice. Didn't use the restroom or order any food so I cannot give an experience on that. The security however didn't know who El DeBarge was and that was a bit alarming. El DeBarge is legendary and who doesn't know who he or his family is? I get that some folks may not follow El DeBarge's genre of music depending upon the ethnicity but at least Google the artist that's going to be performing so you're familiar with how they look.
El DeBarge could've walked right up to those security people and they would not have had a clue it was him. Not a good look for staff to not familiarize themselves with the artist so when fans are inquiring, at least they can offer some type of info.
Nikia Payne
It was a good venue for the concert I went too.
Heather Maureen
Went here for Adam Sandler great show. Only complaint was they did not tell us prior to getting there that phones were not allowed. I have a special needs daughter who was left at home and needed to check on her a few times. The attendants had an attitude about it. Even threatened to take my phone away from me. I did not take one picture nor did I even take a selfie all I did was text my daughter.
Lara H
My favorite concert venue in Atlanta
Andra Pittman
I love that some of the events you can bring a cooler with food and drinks and a little portable table. I love the outdoor theater and so far we have not had a problem with bugs lol.
T C
The venue is nice. However, they sell tickets 8 to a table.....thats great if each person is the size of a three year old! They need to sell less people to a table. MAYBE....four.
Anais Felix Carrion
Great Venue! I saw the Retro Futura Tour here in July 2018. Table setting allows for one cooler per person full of food and drinks. Bring tv tables for set-up for a great time!
Stefano Lana
Great place to go for a concert.
Kevan Miller
a concert under the Georgia night sky. what can be better? taking it Easy with Lionel Richie. Chastain is the perfect venue. bring a small table, a big honkin jar of sammich pickles and you're all set. someone brought enough pickles for everyone in the section. why?!? check their schedule for your favorite artist, bring a cuddle buddy and enjoy. pickles...really?
Ian Ross
Nice place to listen to music. Great concert venue. Parking is terrible during concerts, get there early.
Lorelei McBroom
I've had the pleasure of performing at this venue several times. It's a nice open air Amphitheater and the catering is off the chain! Great audiences too!
Rick Bumgarner
This place is the best! You can bring in food, beverages, wine, tables, etc. The seats and leg room are huge. It's clean and the staff is superb. The only drawback is parking can be difficult if you don't arrive early. Plan ahead.
Scarlett Mclain
If you're run by live nation could you please have them contact me for compensation over last night's rained out concert?
Kasia Wright (wolfspirit7584)
GOD I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I went here for a Pentatonix concert and I was blown away by how amazing the sound was- normally at a concert the sound gets distorted at least some (I've been to both a Paramore concert and Backstreet boys concert and was so disappointed at how messed up the sound was at the Paramore concert) but with the way the concert area is shaped there was almost no sound distortion!! I felt like I was sitting in my car enjoying one of their CDs!!
Michelle johnson
Enjoyed the Isley brothers last night. Ron Isley still going strong.
Moid Ansari
The crowd and the amphitheater is phenomenal ! Every Atlantian must go here to watch a concert. Mark Knopfler was amazing.
Concerts end at 10:30 pm max because of the residential area.
Walk up the hill from uber pick up spot to be picked up quicker. A U-turn can get u out in minutes. Go to the uber instead of the uber trying to get to you (a general rule in rush areas).
T.R. Baker
The only thing that could make State Bank Amphitheater better is if it had a roof over it. Otherwise, every concert is enjoyable and the crowds are always fun.
Jeff Gates
What a cool venue. Really love that you can bring outside food and drink in for most shows. However, be warned, parking is no longer free. Expect to pay upwards of $20.
John Sheffield
I still call it Chastain, it is a cool venue, but parking is a bear, so either get there as early as possible or get dropped off. If the event allows you to bring your own food and drinks, do that. Everything is expensive.
Jeffrey Brown
I always enjoy concerts here, even on humid summer evenings, and seeing Weird Al Yankovic tonight with my children was no exception.
I wish the concessionaires offered a wider variety of nonalcoholic beverages.
Linda
I love outdoor theaters HOWEVER a table for 6 is really for 4 people. You know there isn't enough space for 6 people. Quit robbing the audience. $18 for a weak frozen drink w vodka, ridiculous! No cover for food in the rain, again ridiculous & disrespectful of the amount of money paid for common snacks i.e. nachos. The prices reflect 5 star food i.e. shrimp cocktails, crab cakes, not chips!! I'm only at Cadence (10 miles from home) bc of the act, not the venue. I prefer traveling further (30-40 miles) to WolfCreek

If you've never been there, go at least once for the experience of an older outdoor amphitheatre. Bring a picnic basket. Everyone does. Enjoy the park on your way out while waiting for traffic to die down.
Ian Carlson
There venue itself is great, and the upgraded box seats are fantastic, but the traffic situation and the ingress/egress from the venue itself leave a lot to be desired. If there were an actual emergency, people would die.
John Branch
Great venue! There are no bad seats. Only caveat, the defined seats are a little narrow. So if the show is sold out, it's going to be close quarters.
Anthony Cashin
I’ve only been to two shows there but already my favorite venue. Cozy and old and beautiful. Parking and in/out were a breeze when I went.
S c
Intimate setting for concerts compared with most venues. You can park on the street (be careful not to be in a row zone) and save on the parking charge. Can often bring in food and drinks.
Jessica Sykes
Wonder venue! Loved it! Was pretty hot outside but that's expected in the middle of summer! Drinks were very overpriced but again we expected that. So plan for those things. But the venue itself is gorgeous!
Ki-Hon Lin
Very nice venue with good food and drink options and decent bathrooms. We are not big fans of the table setup seats - they can be extremely cramped/tight.
Judd Brogden
Always a great venue for concerts. Nice table set up to where you can bring your own snacks and drinks. Collective Soul was great.
Thomas Goossens
Great place. They have a wonderful selection of concerts. The outdoor facilities are very nice. Love going there when we can.
Anita “Nita” Coker
RBRM best concert ever! 4th row, a table and we were able to bring our own food and drinks! The sound was awesome! What's not to love?
Chip Mautz
Saw Sarah McLaughlin and Josh Groban here - been going here since the early 80's, and it's always been an amazing treasure for the ATL. I've seen some great acts here, it's open air, very intimate, and fun to watch everyone set up their tables for candelight dining! Highly recommended! Not a bad seat in the house!
Meg Mayfield
Fantastic venue, staff and catering team
maura young
Great venue. In the middle of a suburban neighborhood which makes traffic going to and coming from the venue an issue. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom facilities were very clean.
Dianne Thigpen
Always enjoy Chastain. However as I've aged I realized it's not accessible for me. No railings at stairs making it difficult for those with physical challenges. The stairs were also irregular making it difficult for walking. Still it's a fun venue.
Eagle Archambeault
Poor handicapped access, plenty of misinformation as well. Some usher retraining seems needed as well. Won't post what they said to me so we avoid piling on the theater, but I was flabbergasted.
Sabrina Chism
Charlie Wilson was AWESOME! El Debarge still sings amazingly. He needed backup dancers or something to enhance his showmanship. Great Show!
Poloz Utka
The Amphitheater has the renovation which is including a new plaza with landscaping, a VIP deck, and three new structures: a two-story concessions/commissary building, public women’s restroom and public men’s restroom. Additionally, there will be two new exterior elevators – one providing ADA access from Alex Cooley Parkway to the plaza and one providing ADA access from the VIP deck to the seating below.
Cody Stubblefield
One of the best places in town to see a show. The people who work here are amazing and super nice as well
Jimi Church
It was a nice place. We went there to see Earth,Wind, and Fire in concert there a d we had a great time.
It was my first time being there and I enjoyed it very much.
It was a beautiful place.
Chris Manning
We just love this venue!
Pete Horton
Lot's of fun with Chicago on a beautiful night
David Nally
My favorite concert site in Atlanta next to the Fox. I've seen acts ranging from Willie Nelson, Chicago, B.B. King, Jonny Lang, K.D. Lang, James Taylor - if I could remember them all, I wouldn't have been there. If you have the chance, go there. A summer or fall night in Atlanta, under the stars, listening to music is a great memory.
Jacob Awad
Awesome venue - perfect size, and the lawn is super cool - also you are able to bring in your own coolers for some of the concerts.
Kevin Lares
Always fun. Liked the upgrades to the food area
Wes D
Saw Mark Knopfler. Great venue with excellent sound. Weather cooperated fortunately. The concessions are very nice and efficient and the restrooms are very clean.
matthew gantz
Been said by every musician whi has ever gone here. Put down your wine and cheese and oay attention. Also... lady at smoking area should not be a non smoker complaining about all us cornered off like cattle. Find someone who doesn't hate smokers.
Anastasia Shumakova
No designated parking. But overall the place is nice and cozy for outdoor concerts. Rows are wide enough to dance and stretch your legs
Joel Nichols
Very nice place. I went to see Charlie Wilson concert. The staff working was very nice and warm. I would love to go to another event there.
Jilly Pepper
Wonderful concerts and acoustics! Parking is an absolute nightmare; try the middle school for $20+ across the street. Use the Waze app for quickest in and out routes.
CAretha Joyner
Great outdoor concert spot, bring in food & drinks.
Pam Brooks
Very nice concert space for an outdoor show. We had a great time. Would definitely go back for another show.
JoAnne Cash
Outdoor amphitheater brings rain scorching sun every thing outside on uncomfortable (at 62) metal mesh seat/benches or more expensive folding chairs on floor. It was clean but I won't go back. What's with them removing bottle caps. But Pentatonix was good.
David Schwartz
First time here. Great venue. Wide rows for dancing. You can bring in your own food and beverages. Will definitely return.
Tara Marie
Venue was nice but God forbid there was an emergency. They only way out.of your seat if you are sitting at s table is to climb up and over the bench behind it in front of you. They squeeze so many people in that you literally can NOT get out if you had to. Climbing over the bench behind me to go to the restroom was a little ridiculous. And hazardous.
James Fleming
This place is easily accessible and traffic flowed smoothly although there was a great amount of traffic. Once in side theatre the seats, restrooms, and concession areas were easily accessible as well.
Clifford Rudd
Great music venue however it is in need of some major updating. Would be nice to have a cover like Verizon and more vendor food and beverage locations that are not centralized.
Paige Levin
Chastain Ampitheater is a pretty awesome arena to enjoy a performance. The acoustics are pretty good and the views are great. The seating is kind of uncomfortable and the lawn area is nominal compared to other outside venues. The setting feels intimate. The hiccups are parking and pre/post concert traffic because the ampitheater is set in a residential area. Luckily police help move people. Be sure to check both the venue's website and ticketmaster for events because, with different sponsors, there isn't one easy portal to see a listing of all upcoming events.
Sean Kelly
They have a Chic-Fil-A in the back. True bro move. Even though I bring my own food and drinks, I can't resist the Chicken Sandwich and Lemonade on the way in after popping a few edibles before a show. They know how to reach their customers 👊 …
Michael Jones
Concert was wonderful - Edgar Winter, Alice Cooper and Deep Purple all did a great job. Staff at Chastain very nice, polite and professional.
Cadon B
Not my favorite concert venue in Atlanta. The video screens aren't really good enough for the people in the back and the lines to get in can be very long because of the lack of security staff.
Ward Gass
Love the venue Great vibe, excellent roster, always a good, diverse crowd.
Drinks and food are okay, overpriced. Parking is a hassle, and expensive, but we always have a good time here.
Tessie Lee
The place is super dark at night, so it's hard to find your parking lot if you are out there in late night. The event parking is expensive. The staircase is rocky, easy to make you fall.
Bo Baswell
Great venue with stellar sound system. Concessions when a no table event occurs has ridiculous wait times. Traffic while Atlanta, is off the chain upon departure
Charlie P
What a beautiful, intimate amphitheater. I recommend sitting in the first orchestra rows, all the way left or right. Still a great view and very close to the stage.
Marie Tremble
I always enjoy the lawn at Chastain. I look forward to relaxing on the lawn while listening to music that I love. Not sure why they started the pat-down at the entrance and the checking of your belongings.
Lawrence Leek
Went to several concerts here over the years, seating is Great, Sound is good, service is slow. Takes forever to find parking
Paris Evans-Robinson
Saw Maxwell in concert and he Was awesome. Was disappointed that we couldn't bring in food. Also the Uber pick up situation after the concert was awful.
Stephen Marshall
Great venue to see a show. Literally not a bad seat in the house, close concessions, and free parking just a short walk from the gate.
Stacy Mock
First visit. Great place to enjoy a concert!
K Cooper
Great outdoor concert venue. However, the no smoking policy isn't enforced, and as soon as night falls the whole place wreaks of weed.
Jan Fassett
My first visit here was fantastic! I had room to enjoy the concert, convenient (but expensive) parking, tasty and we'll portioned concessions.
Andrea Simpson
It's a great place to enjoy a concert. The aisles are spacious so you can dance to the music and enjoy yourself.
Christopher Paul
Very beautiful park. Wonderful seating arrangements. Friendly staff. Only down fall is there smoking area is completely crowded and undersized
Michael Hanley
Staff and venue is great!
Frederick Thompson
We had a wonderful time. The show was fantastic.Charlie Wilson and Debarge was outstanding. The employees were.very helpful finding our seats.
Jason Mendonca
Fun place to see a show. Can be challenging to park. Recommend uber or Lyft. Smallish venue makes entry and exit easy except for traffic. Love the setting.
Tim Taylor
First time here for Styx n .38 Special, and must say love the layout. Plenty of room in front of you for people to pass without steeping on your feet. Will be back........
David
Great place. Great seating. Only gripe is that it is not at all handicapped friendly. Honestly I thought all government facilities had to be ADA compliant and this place isn't even close.
Candace Duty
It's smaller than I expected but that also contributed to the over all experience!
Dave Myer
Dated. 2018 changes were badly needed. Good acts. Parking is unpredictable. Shows in July n Aug, get smelly real fast without a breeze.
Eduardo Barreras
Love this place for the great venues the accommodate.
The best part is the arrangement where you can bring food and beverages.
Excellent place to share with friends.
Mike Smith
Great venue for vocal performances. Attracts a wide variety of talent. Coolers allowed. Lawn seating and tables are available.
Kani Saeed
Great venue, not too big, not too small, just right. The shows on weekdays dont go too late, which is great for most of us working adults.
Gabriela Figueroa
Parking everywhere, easy entrance. Get a view from every seat.
Aktn MyVizn
Location and accessibility. You are allowed to bring your own cooler, food, and drinks. Close to Horse stables and of course sporting activities, fitness trails, and lovely views.
Victor Reategui
It has a great acoustics, numbered seats and great space to straight your legs and allow people walk between rows. A family place to be too!
Chris Cotter
Chastain is a great place to see a show. Make sure you look and see if your show allows you to bring in your own food and beverage. Some shows do and some do not.
James Nobles
Great show and staff but entrance and exit to and from seats was a nightmare. Tables are cool and all but I think there need to be some more ways up stars
Joua Nelson
There are a lot of good restaurants around this place. Spacious seating.
My only complaint is paying $20 for parking when we've already paid $250 for tickets.
Heather McCumber
Seating was well labeled which made it easy to find our spot. All the seats had a good view. The staff kept things organized.
William Hawkins
Cool venue, but very difficult to maneuver after the concert, despite the efforts of the people directing traffic. Without them it would have been impossible.
Scotty Coulter
Great place to go for a venue if any kind. Plenty of leg room when you are seated and you can bring your own cooler in. I recommend it anytime
Barbara Dennis
It very beautiful and fun place to spend time with loved ones.
Angela Lee
Great outdoor venue, plenty of restrooms, cute concession stand, parking is horrendous, contact high from the weed is free. Enjoyed Earth Wind and Fire.
terry mabery
Great atmosphere. Was like partying with old friends.
Racquel Gilpin
Excellent venue for live music. Clean facilities, great staff. Definitely would attend future events at this venue.
linda m
Super nice venue to listen to music, you can bring your own food, wine and have a feast! Didn't know this the first time we were there.
Mandi S
Nice venue. My only criticism is the absurd mark up for drinks. Over $10 for a canned Bud Light seems beyond excessive.
Jeff Otterson
Great outdoor concert venue, in fact, the only one I am aware of that you can bring coolers to. Not handicapped accessible, much.
Samantha Tate
Staff is extremely rude. I understand their position however I wasn't inebriated and was treated like a child. We paid an ungodly amount to be there and we're dossile yet still treated like a piece of trash.
Patrick Ceska
Great outdoor venue and wonderful Seal concert
Dana Wilkinson
Love Chastain! It's so laid back, you can bring in a small cooler so you don't break the bank, and there's really not a bad seat in the house.
Todd Hardy
Beautiful venue with a great view no matter where you sit. Saw Charlie Wilson there and the sound quality was outstanding.
Paul M
Wonderful open air venue. Excellent views from anywhere in the amphitheater. Something for everyone. Only drawback is sometimes the weather but otherwise superb.
Michael Lores
Great outdoor venue. Probably the best in Atlanta. The best nights are when you can bring your own food and liquor into the show!!!
Jessi Jo
Beautiful playground! Complete with musical instruments, large slides, and even a unique piano. Nice park to enjoy some family time.
Jackie Moore
The concert was awesome
Jonathan NeSmith
Nice venue. Be careful if it rains--can be very dangerous. Saw a guy fall and took over 20 min for help to get to him
Charles McDANIEL
I've attended concerts at this venue for 30 years and it's still one of the best atmospheres for listening to live music.
T John
love that you can bring in your own tables, food and drinks.
makes for an affordable night out
Katharine N
I LOVE this place! I love how you can bring your own cooler with food/wine inside! Great outdoor venue accept for when it rains lol.
Sara Williams
Great concerts but I wish people would be respectful of those behind them! But that’s not the venue’s fault.
Felecia Henderson
Beautiful venue and location, concert started on time, did not appear to have any bad seats.
Elwyn Murphy
Had a Great Time . the sound was awesome and lighting and whole experience there was so cool . Can't wait until Maze And Franky Beverly come back to the park !!! Got there by Mint Life Limousine
Marie Smith
Love this place! Before you go, make sure to check out whether or not you can carry a cooler in. Some concerts you can and some you cannot. It will say no if you can't.
Hannah Rouse
The staff was informative and friendly. The place was clean. It was such an experience getting to see Blondie and Garbage here. Made great people that night.
Cliff Marshall
Quaint venue. Many a good show.
Kenny Gutzler
Great venue - best in the summer time. Make sure to Uber to get dropped off, parking can be tricky to put it mildly.
Fabricio Ortiz
Great venue and Deftones rocked the amphitheater!!
Tiffany Peters
Really enjoyed the Lauyrn Hill concert!! The State Bank Amphitheater was a nice venue for such an event.
M.S The Secret Poetry that Speaks For Itself
Smooth jazz George Benson style, your favorite wine ,fetish food and a beautiful woman. A perfect night out. Got to love it....
Terra Mahre
Great venue, except buy good tickets as the screens are ridiculously out of date. You cannot bring in food or drink unless specified on your event ticket.
Greg Heathcock
What a unique and wonderful place! Bring your own food and drink and enjoy the show under the stars with your friends (and make some new ones!).
Ida McNeill
Been going to concerts here since the 70s. Great atmosphere. Just big enough.
Judy Morgan
Formerly known as Chastain I guess ...always loved this venue because of the intimacy it seems to provide. It's just SO hot in the summer that I have to go late spring or early fall and even then it's pretty hot lol
Pravin Kumar
Excellent view of stage from all around. More enjoyable than seeing a band in a stadium. Parking lot close by.
Kirsten Brooks
Great place in a cool location. Went for a rock show, 3 stars because they put chairs in the pit area & policed them all night.
Beth
Super hot the day that we saw our show their but otherwise it was fun & i liked the atmosphere once you got used to the constant sweating.
Jon Fortner
Good for fall or spring shows... summer on the other hand... it's miserably stuffy since its surrounded by tall trees and it gets almost no breeze.
Jeff Upton
Loved we could take in coolers, food and drink.
douglas tiemersma
The New Concession Stand and liquor Carts are Awesome!!
Charetta Robinson
Tonight I went to see Charlie Wilson the atmosphere was great the music was delightful. If you haven't seen him in concert it's a must.
Donna Farmer
Nice upgrades to the concessions and restrooms! Great sound!! just needs more parking. Over all, an excellent experience at Chastain.
Ramon Sol
Parking was a nightmare. But it's a grate place.
Michael Carr
Great setting for smaller concerts, sometimes you can bring your own food and drink
Mattie Clark
Loved it! enjoyed very much the John Legend concert!!. Bring your food and drink cool stuff!
Harry Gallo
Pretty decent venue, I've enjoyed it everytime I have gone. Ticket prices are never terrible either.
Andy Killebrew
Small venue with great atmosphere.
Courtney Wingo
Went for the coheed concert. Every staff member we encountered, from security to the people running the drink stations, were super friendly and helpful with any questions we had.
Michael Arnett
Good outdoor amphitheatre. Shows end a little early due to noise ordinances, but otherwise it's great.
Scooter Maloney
Incredible venue, it won't be the last time I come up from Sarasota to go there for a concert!
Cynthia Lynn Adams
Really fun place. Great entertainment, bring your own treats events with great good . A SET up for good fellowship.
William Sears
Nice venue. Even though it's located in Atlanta, it still has that feeling of being secluded in the woods. Finding parking is a bit of a nightmare sometimes.
Hollie Bonds
One of the best venues I've been to. Great area and great sounds and seats
Broderick Warrior
The venue is a nice place, but the so called Vip seating was horrible, flimsy plastic folding chairs crammed together with no room to get comfortable
Mike Adams
Great venue but concessions need work on quality, time to service and food running out early!
Kevin D
Nice venue I can bring my own beverage in and also food. Great place for adults
Michelle Edens
Great venue for a concert. You can bring your own food and beverage
Ashok Guru
Great venue for concerts. I enjoyed watching Santana and Deep Purple 4ock this joint.
Jonathan Paez
Cool place. You can bring your own food and drinks. Just make sure you don't put it in a backpack. They are not allowed.
