One Noble Journey and Mike Wiley were amazing. Everyone was very welcoming. Peter Treadway in the one act play, every brilliant thing was also amazing.
Larry Weiss
Excellent variety of programs and always done really well. Great resource in the arts community!

This is an amazing little theater. Big city productions quality and professional acting. My husband and I live in Greenville now and we drive to see plays in this small theater... So worth it. Last one was Jeeves Saves the Day this past Saturday. This picture is from the Handle with Care.

It's a nice venue but seating arrangements were confused and the ushers were no help. They had to bring the house manager in to figure it out. Requirements for vaccination cards, driver's licenses and masks seems overboard as the cast is within spitting distance of you without masks. Most of the roles seemed over acted for such a cozy venue. I was ready to leave at intermission but my companion wanted to stay. I think it's wonderful to have this facility in our community. They have plenty of sponsors to be an ongoing success, I just hope other people have a better experience than I had

We have a fantastic experience every time we go to the NC Stage. The setting is intimate and the players are excellent!!

First visit, most certainly NOT the last time. We saw the comedy 'Jeeves @ Sea'. Acting was outstanding. Not a bad seat in the house, but chairs a tad stiff. Whole Foods catered appetizers before performance; it was really good. Want a fun intimate experience? Don't pass this up.

Amazing space, convenient parking, incredible theatre! My husband and I went to a fantastic show. We were running late, and didn't have the usual 30 minute time window to find parking in downtown Asheville. Parking was right next door and we were in our seats with time to spare. Comfortable seating, intimate atmosphere, superb production, friendly ushers, nice bar/concessions, we will be going back very soon!

I attended a production of "Other Desert Cities" with my family. The venue is very cute. The show was well done and I enjoyed the actors performances. The theatre is tiny (whether that's a good or bad thing would be subjective). I found the seats to be uncomfortable to sit in for multiple hours.

I just went to see Jeeves at Sea. This was my third Jeeves play. Sadly I missed Jeeves Intervenes. Every Jeeves performance has been a 'delightful romp' lol. I drive 3 hours each way to attend the shows and it is so worth it! Hopefully this won't go to anyone's head lol....but the truth is the actors performances were flawless! I don't think that they could have been any more perfect for their roles! PG Wodehouse would have been proud! Very well done! I had been looking forward to seeing that show since I purchased my tickets in early September and it exceeded my expectations. I am so looking forward to the next Jeeves adventure lol.

I can't express how good the production of "A Doll's House: Part 2" is. The play itself is thoughtfully written, but the acting is as good as anything you might see in New York or London. The bonus here is that you have a small, intimate (and affordable) theater to experience these professionals in. If you're a Western North Carolinian or just passing through, try to get to this. (Come to think of it, since I've driven to Raleigh for plays, theater-goers there could make a trip here, as well). If you haven't read Ibsen's original, you still pick up the thread in the first ten minutes. If you review the original, it will enhance this, which is set 15 years later.

For my birthday, my adult children took me to a performance of "Other Desert Cities." I thoroughly enjoyed this play. The actors were superb. The subject matter is not for younger audiences.

Phenomenal local plays that allow individuals to bring some legitimate art to the city. I ALMOST won a trip. I think I got 3rd place and won a gift card or something but the trip to NYC was my dream! Love this place!!
Lorraine Barrett
I enjoyed the play very much. The actors were great.

A show here is always an event to celebrate & remember! I recommend going when there is a party, reception, or food event. It is a great opportunity to meet and greet the theatre folks and actors, and support a great organization.
My wife and I recently saw "Jeeves at Sea" and the familiar characters were ably & brilliantly depicted by the company here! What a delight! Wodehouse's iconic characters-from top to bottom-were presented in top form! Superb!!!
This cast, especially Michael MacCauley & Scott Treadway, portray a seemingly affable & symbiotic affiliation started years ago by Bertie & Jeeves. They are supported by Charlie Flynn-McIver, Carin Metzger, Ryan Mitchell, and Paula O'Brien. The entire group was perfect! Every character had their own quirks, and they all meshed together like a troupe of long-time friends from way back! I am convinced they have realized the most authentic presentation of Wodehouse's efforts!
So, my recommendation is: GO! It is a worthy activity that enriches all of us culturally, and supports high-quality local artists. Of course, I recommend this comedy, since it's my personal favorite, but all are very good!
Bravo to the cast, crew, company, production staff, volunteers, and supporters at NC Stage! From the time we arrive until the time we leave, we are well-cared for and in good company! We are already planning our next adventure there!

I've seen "Liebe Love Amour" twice, once at Duke and once in Brooklyn. There is so much comedy in the lines, actions and story that it is a fun night, more so, if you get involved which any audience member can do. Enjoy

A wonderful little black box theater headed by a dedicated director and a core group of professional actors good enough for New York stages. Always entertaining and often adventurous, NC Stage is my favorite theater in Asheville, narrowly besting the Asheville Community Theater. Reasonably priced tickets and there are no bad seats in the house. The actors always come to the lobby after the curtain for handshakes, hugs and selfies. A true gem of Asheville.
