Reviews of 9th Street Garage
My first time in the Virginia beach area and was apprehensive about comments I read about several parking lots. I can say parking here was a pleasant experience. I got there early enough to get parking pretty quickly. The stairway to the street was clean and smelled faintly of the cleaning agent used but it was not a bad smell. Exiting was easy enough. Scanned my ticket and paid $6 for 3 hours. Will gladly utilize this parking lot if I'm back in the area..
Inexpensive way to spend the day at the beach without paying $400 for hotel. Only $10 a day. It's a parking garage. Notch to review
$10 all day parking on a Saturday. Great location!
This is definitely a great place to park if you don't want your car to be cooked by the sun. It seems clean and not too tight between vehicles. Structure organization is easy and makes it so that you are not worried hitting a car while you are turning and such. Price is not expensive at all and very close to beach. Try it! =)0

A great place to park, and the prices are not too bad. Get out of the beach traffic and start living that beach life in the sand and surf.
Pro tip:
I love this end of the boardwalk; it is not as busy as the other side.
This is the garage I always park in when I'm playing beach volleyball for the season with the league.
Parking is $2 an hour with a max of $10 a day - for locals with a VB license, it's $3 total which is pretty sweet if you are playing sand VB on the beach right across the street for 2-3 hours!
There is nearby street parking but during peak summer hours it's metered and you have to come remember to feed it, it's also hard to find as there are neighborhoods around here so you can't steal their parking.
This garage is easy to find, easy to get in an out of, has tons of parking and is kept really clean. They also have friendly ladies working the toll booths and, have a punch card for locals so if you keep coming you eventually get a park for free!
Why not. Haha.
Nice close parking to the oceanfront....but urine smell can be quite bad
It's ok. Owned by the city and a public parking garage, it's a much cheaper option that on street parking or the private lots both of which are very expensive. Be warned though that the parking fees are variable - e.g. the city Jack's up the parking rates if busy/special events.
The garage structure itself is not great. Mediocre construction, low overheads, cramped navigation, and no elevators. It's always an unpleasant shock to smell urine or vomit in the stairwells, and they don't seem to get cleaned very often. Like many of the local municipal services, they are good at parting you from your money but don't offer a whole lot in return.
There is very little parking available during the height of the summer/holiday season, so this is one of the few public options available.
parked here while on vacation. price is fair but they need to find a better way to deal with lost tickets besides charging people $28 extra dollars. We didn't lose our ticket but a friend of ours did
Price is relatively cheap for all day parking.
A public parking garage where rates start at $3 per hour. We paid $10 for 4 hours of parking. Very close to restaurants and the boardwalk. Easy to enter and leave. Credit and debit cards only; NO CASH!
The water feels so nice but I've seen some jellyfish and the black &white whales
Great parking garage, parking very close to the beach.
Perfect parking location for quick access to the water and a rinse off location.
Do yourself a favor and spend the money to keep your car safe and near you on your beach trip. Easily worth the peace of mind.
January 2nd 2021 at Va Beach all Masked up enjoying the beautiful weather, nice walk on the broadwalk
The signage is very poor. It's like a corn maze. Find your own way out.
It ok to park your car in for a day at $10 to walk to the beach and have a little fun it is crowded in there and a lot of step from the 4th floor
Fills fast but it's a nice, covered garage. It's close to the beach, and there's plenty of space for backing in and out in a fullsize car.
Near to the Center of the beach. had to go to the parking since I left my stuffs on car. I was back in the beach in no time. But space is full before 12 in the morning.
Best place to park for the day at $10. If you plan on eating at Planet Pizza, it's convenient parking right beside it for $2
Up to 3 hours the rate is 2$/hour. Beyond that it is 10$. Parking location is very easy to find. Its bit costly thats the only downside
Great place to park. It's close to everything
Lots of spaces. Brightly lit. Only $10.00 for the whole day.
maybe update some of your technolgies like red and green lights above avalible or unavailable parking or even a live total number of spots avalible posted outside.
I always park my car here when we go to the ocean front!
Love the fact that they have reduced fee for VA beach residents
Affordable parking for the beach. Only a block walk to the oceanfront.
Belongs to holiday travel park. Could use more room although there is nowhere to expand but up.
Visiting for the ECSC. Flat rate parking. Easy access to the boardwalk and activities.
I always park here when I go to Chix or Waterman's. It's cheaper if you're a VB local, too.
Great place to park
Best place to park for whole day with 10$.
Best prices for parking near the waterfront
Great location easy walk to the beach, and the price is right
I park here for work. There are four levels. The hotel offers valet parking.
Wonderful prices to park here for hours.
Fair pricing with good proximity to the beach.
Clean, fair price and the car was in shade all day
Very convenient and secure parking area for Virginia Beach
It's a parking lot, yes you have to pay.
Best parking in the oceanfront!
Reasonable rate, never any problems.
Pretty cheap in the afternoon. Walking distance to beach.
10 max. But keep as a location to park in the future.
