Great place to spend a few hours with the grandkids! Hands on activities, laser show, movie, and fresh tossed pizza baked in a hearth oven make for a fun day. The puzzles, wind tunnel, water tables are just a few of our favorites. Can’t wait to go again!

The Oregon Museum of Science and industry is now open! Post the pandemic shutdown, the place is back in action in a renewed avataar
An awesome experience and a place to spend half a day with your kids. The place is just slowly completely opening up.
The currently running exhibit on Mr. Nelson mandela's life is a good eye opener for children to see.
The submarine tour is a must go and so is a planetarium show. They had a different theatrical show each week. Plan your trip in a manner that can cover all of these to make the visit a fruitful one.
Remember your car parking slot 'coz the reception's going to ask you that when you are ticketing-in. Lovely museum folks who are kind and extremely kids friendly!

Great museum, awesome exhibitions.
Go check it out with your kids it’s a fun place to spend the day.

Super fun and it's all well priced! There's tons to do for kids and adults both! The sub tour is well put together as well, ive gone twice. Cool souvenir shop too. Looking to check out one of the special exhibits next!

Went on a rainy day with all the kids- and it was super crowded.. still enjoyed the experience!

We were there for the Brewfest after Dark. Great selection of brewpubs throughout the complex. There was a very interesting talk given about the local history of hops in the Imax Theater. The James Cameron Titanic exhibit was going on with a lot of info and items on display. Original and replicas from the movie and actual dive on the wreck.
Milissa Mcclane
The dinosaur exhibit was amazing! Definitely will be going back to Omsi! I loved the way they handled the crowds! It fell very clean and not too crowned! (Restrooms were spotless btw) had a little wait in line but definitely worth it for the experience with little crowd around us! We will be going back for sure!

OMSI is an amazing place to go for people of all ages that love science and history. My family loves going here and always has a fun time! Their movie theater is very comfortable and the submarine is a must see. The new dinosaur experience is a blast from the past! I would highly recommend checking it out if you're in the Portland area!

Just checking out the Museum during Portland trip, there is not much for adults to see here but there are labs for kids, others exhibits are cost extra but I think submarine is good. If you are coming to museum by car, just remember your spot and pay inside.

Has some interesting exhibits, and it's pretty good for children. As a science minded adult tho, it was a little disappointing. Recommend spending time here as a family, but as an adult couple it was just "meh."

OMSI is always a great place to go if you enjoy learning. My family and I have gone here for years. They have hands-on exhibits that both children and adults can enjoy. I also love the OMSI after dark program and the specialty exhibits that come through as there have been some really interesting ones.

Di Vinci exhibition was fantastic.
The James Cameron exhibit was nice. I love The Abyss.
Charlene Larson Rotandi
Great hands on museum! We went on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. Got tickets to the special Leonard de Vinci exhibit — fascinating to learn more about this forward-thinking genius. We also got to explore the USS Blueback Submarine — great tour guide, learned a lot about life onboard this diesel electric submarine. Lunch from the kiosk was tasty — pb&j, vegan buffalo cauliflower and chickpea wrap (delicious), and Willamette salad with hazelnuts, blue cheese, grapes, and apples (a favorite). Only complaint is museum is so big and we definitely needed a second day to go through all the exhibits.
Aaron Vareberg
I spent the entire day here with my granddaughter and wife. We all enjoyed our time. The submarine is so cool
Rachel Sobecki
Incredible exhibits but it’s too expensive, science needs to be more accessible
Sebastian Rosch
Good for kids and family. I enjoyed the Pixar exhibition and the planetarium show
M. F-D.
Still mostly closed, but a fun short break from the heat with two under 4.
The dino exhibit is both ADA and stroller-accessible.
Staff are extremely accommodating and friendly.
Gender neutral bathrooms are by the Planetarium with full length stall doors and easy hinges, extremely clean, great for kids.

When enjoyed visiting here before our falls tour that departed nearby.

Fun for all ages. Adults can let out their inner geek at the exhibits, I learn something new every time I go.
Children of all ages can play have something to do, under 3 is free, so I take my daughter to the children's area upstairs to interact with kids and be exposed to new things.
All the extras they offer, while cost extra, are also worth it. There is a planetarium, a decommissioned submarine, a featured exhibit (this time was Pixar), a space shuttle experience, and more depending on the day.
Very worth while to get membership, I'd say its a bargan. And even one time visitors can spend a few hours there and easily get their money's worth.

My grandchildren love this place, in fact, the whole family enjoys it. Grandson enjoyed the live bugs display. My granddaughter liked the fossils. We all did. We enjoyed the movie about the Australia's Wild North

Can get backed up at certain hours, but mostly shaded spots are great when it's hot out. Easy to pay online. Just be sure to remember the number of the spot you're parked in to tell the ticketing desk if you prepaid online. Most of the time they'll remember to ask, if you've forgotten.
SHANNA
The kids loved it. Awesome dinosaur exhibit and so much for the kids to explore. It was spacious and clean and masks were required.
Felipe Lora
I love this place. My kids had a lot of fun with the interactive displays and brain power activities. The Chemistry Lab is a most.
Perfect for family time, learning experience and great food.
What a combo!

COVID has taken its toll on ol OMSI. We went to see the dinosaur exhibit and it was...lackluster. The models were dated and sparse, and there isnt much else to do or see there right now.
Steve Lacey
Act in defiance, embrace science! O.M.S.I. is a state treasure. There are permanent exhibits and traveling shows. We recently experienced Body Worlds. The word I give it is stunning. OMSI is the most family friendly place to science... So many hands on exhibits for the kids. If you've not been, go.
Debbie Wolfe
I had 6 kids ranging from 4 to 13 Yeats old and I and all of the children found it to be absolutely wonderful. It is hard to please everyone but yippee omsi did it.
Vicki Wilson
We came to OMSI at the perfect time because they had the Pixar exhibit and general admission that day was $5 since it was the first Sunday of the month. We ended up doing the submarine tour and the Pixar exhibit. Parking is $5 but I still recommend carpooling. The submarine tour was more interesting that I expected! We walked to a re-purposed submarine that was docked at the river. The tour guide was funny and engaging with the children. I never knew how bad the conditions were for those working in submarines! I'd definitely recommend doing this tour! The Pixar exhibit was awesome. As an engineer, I love to learn about how things work and there's a lot of practical applications that was shown without getting too technical. I wish they had this in LA when I was a kid!
Tiny SMART House
I have been learning from this museum since I was a young boy. I remember when they moved from what is now the Children's Museum next to the Oregon Zoo. Did you know the current property used to be a PGE power station?
Alisha Stireman-Beyer
We love OMSI. We are very grateful to be able to enjoy and support this Portland institution that provides so much education and entertainment for children and adults alike. All the stars.

Love this place. Theres always something interesting there for all ages to experience. Easy, onsite parking. Friendly, helpful staff. Beautiful view of the city. Coffee/snack bar available. Stunning planetarium, plus an actual submarine docked on the Willamette, behind OMSI.
Markisha Ellet
When I say that you have to go on the the Willamette jet boat excursion we had like 30 people on the boat we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest
Joi Poulin

5 minute Dino tour, and basically everything else was closed. Not worth the ticket price. Hell not even worth the parking cost.
Doug Vincent
Right now so much of it's closed because of covid-19... But it was still a great place to go when visiting Portland when it's fully open it's excellent I highly recommend
