Reviews of Hamilton Station Park & Ride Garage
This train station is the easiest to park and use. There is an outdoor parking lot for monthly tag holders and a garage for additional parking. If you take the NEC to NYC it takes 1.5 hours to NYC Penn Station. I prefer this station over others as there is ample space for my 2500 truck.
No problem once you get there early morning, lots of parking space not sure about later on during the day.
Perfect place to park if heading to NYC or EWR!
Parked over night. Great price secure garage. Cool sculptures.
This facility is well maintained at all times, be it summer or Winter. Even in a snow storm, the snow is plowed veery quickly & efficiently. 100% of the clientele using this facility are well educated, well mannered & very friendly- never seen arguments or fights here. I have been a monthly customer for the last 2 years and would say that “Your car 🚗 is in good hands”. The daily commuters have no problem at all. Only suggestion- often new visitors for the first time are confused where to park as weekdays & Weekend rules are different for the “daily parking”- so I would suggest that some signs should be posted at key places especially on the weekends.
We for the first time decided to take the train to Newark Airport omg it was our best decision we have had in a long time.
Super easy, affordable and safe
Nice station really. The convenience store could be better but that's not a make it or break it. The signage for which platform to get on the New York City vs. Trenton bound train could be much better. I agree with one of the other reviewers that it is a much better park and ride than the Trenton station.
The parking situation is unclear and the whole station could use more signage. Plus, their little building closes rather early, and when you get off the train after a long bathroomless train ride, it would be nice to have a place to pee! My poor wife was very uncomfortable 😬 …
Cheaper and much better than the Trenton station. Worth the extra drive if you're heading into NY, or anywhere else along the line.
You can insert your credit card when entering the garage, and pay with the same card as you leave. This way, you don't have to keep track of a ticket or pay at the ground level kiosk.
Lower floors are usually full, but I've always been able to find a space on the upper levels. Elevator brings you out very close to ticket kiosks, so there's really no disadvantage to taking an upper level parking space.
The garage is great. 7 bucks for a whole work day, totally beats finding parking elsewhere. Unreserved parking for a hundred a month is good also. What stinks is the traffic flow design of the surrounding lot, especially during rush. It's another 15-20 minutes to get out of the outside parking lot.
This is a nice, relatively new, train station with a Dunkin Donuts inside.
I took away one star because the escalators on the west bound side are so frequently broken.
There is a lot of parking, but it fills up with commuters. Remember that if you need to park overnight you must park in the garage. The open lots are only for daytime use.
We have not gone back to the Trenton train station since discovering Hamilton. The parking garage is large, clean, well lit and very safe, the station is new and spacious, and it's an overall better experience. We regularly take NJ Transit into New York city, and this is the only way to do it in our opinion.
Parking here often fills up up by 9am and they re-route you to Trenton station. Really, REALLY inconvenient. The station is nice otherwise, but if you're going to the city after rush hour, better allow an hours' time to catch your train in case you are rerouted. Trenton station is also a stop BACK on the NJT line. PLEASE EXPAND PARKING!
Safe, great parking. Use the NJ Transit App. Works great. I can’t understand how such a busy station does not have a person always present for ticketing, which is not easy for older folks who aren’t App-savvy, which is the only reason I give it 4/5. For ME it’s a 5/5. For others, it could cause anxiety. Last year during week of Christmas to New Years, ONE person working window, shut window for lunch. It was crazy busy. I respect their lunch time, but not NJT’s understaffing of a busy station. All in all, plenty of parking, plenty of overnight parking, garage parking for bad weather, snow, overnight. I’ll give it 5 stars when it’s adequately staffed.
Very simple to be able to park your car in the garage just make sure you don't lose your ticket if you're going to New York. Huge platform to be able to wait and a nice clean waiting area inside if it's cold or too hot to wait outside. There's also a Dunkin Donuts inside to be able to grab a drink or breakfast.
Pretty good! I leave my car in the parking lot over the weekends and it is safe! Bathroom closes a little early (~9 I think), so if you have a long trip, go before you get there!
It would be nicer if they had some of the same amenities that Trenton Transit has. There is only a Dunkin donuts which sells about half of their regular menu. For Hamilton you'd expect it to be nicer than Trenton.
Could not find elevator to go down to main lobby on the way out but coming back I saw it
The most convenient way to get to NYC Philly. Park in the secure lot and buy your tickets at the kiosk on the platform. You can also buy tickets from the conductor on the train if in a hurry (but there is an up charge for this). Park and go!
With more in the big parking deck, you get the best parking there. Just remember, get a ticket before you in and pay first before you head out. Great place to see trains. Just don't cross the yellow line. Some trains may coming on track one or track four. It's a great place.
Honestly this is my favorite place through all the years to ride a train down into Grand Central Station in New York City :-) it's just tremendous this is a great location and not far from where I spent my childhood and have many many memories. Just a great funktional location
This train station is easy to get to. Exit 65b off 295. It is right there and the platform is easy to get to, etc. Way easier than using the Trenton station.
Great station with a convenient large parking deck. Though if you happen to go at the tail end of rush hour, be prepared with cash as the deck will be closed and the on-ground parking attendants will ONLY accept cash payments.
Great option to leave your car for the weekend and get to NYC from Philly. Parking in the garage costs $12/day so it's one of the more affordable rates too!
A little further than Trenton, but better chance of living to write a review about your experience AND/OR finding your car with most parts on it parked in location you placed it prior to departing.
This is a good, clean & safe alternative to catching the train in Trenton. I’m in and out of this station often and have never encountered a problem.
I prefer this station over Trenton. Easier in and out, with plenty of garage parking. You can get express trains into NYC from here
The Best way to get to New York period. Plenty of parking includes a multiteired garage.
No indoor waiting area.
Pretty decent station, has a coffee n snack store, restrooms, park and ride has stairs and escalators to the platforms
We won two tickets via broadway lottery! It was absolutely amazing! ❤️🤩 …
Pretty good place to catch a train. Bought a round trip ticket to new york Penn. Station for like 32.00
Safer to park here for days on end than Trenton. Makes NYC very accessible from Philly.
Just off of I-295, this station is convenient, and easy to manage whether you're leaving your car, or dropping someone off.
Good parking place is you wanna go to NYC and don't need to take your car with you.
I am an early commuter and the parking lot is a breeze to get in and out. Very easy access to trains and not that expensive.
Pretty good spot to leave the car when I'm not willing to drive my car to NYC. Feels pretty safe too.
Parking is ok the only store inside the station is Dunkin Donuts and its the MOST expensive DD ever.
When taking the train to New York; this is a much better station to park and ride than Trenton.
Awesome
First time here. Nice enough place, clean, well kept. Parking $7.00
Clean restrooms with well lit parking lot. Unfortunate that the waiting area closes at 9pm daily without access to restroom 🚻. …
The trains running are generally always on time. Also easy ticket purchasing.
Great easy way to commute to NY City
Very convenient and safe parking for the train into NYC!
One of the nicer stations. There's an indoor area right next to the New York bound trains.
Waiting area is nice. The restrooms not always in good shape.
Super convenient. Safe parking. Trains run constantly.
Really nice station. Surprisingly clean. Also everything is working as it should be and around the clock.
Nice and bright easy to get a ticket nice ride to New York
It's a train station. It has an often closed waiting area, and an even more frequently closed convince store.
As good as it gets for a park and ride. Nice sculptures around the station.
We tip our hats to you! I go in there 3 times a week just for the peanut stand. Holla!
