Great museum to learn about Samuel Clemon's life in Hartford while he was writing classics like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. If you do the tour you can have a character guide that would have lived in the house. I recommend this tour because it was very entertaining while being very informative. The house has beautiful architectural features inside and out as well as incredible decorative flare. The tour is a little pricey at $27 per person as of this writing but I don't think I would have enjoyed a tour without the actor.

This was a wonderful place to visit. And the fact that the Harriet Beecher Stowe home is right next to it is a big bonus. Everything from the gift shop to the museum to the videos to the tour was top-notch. The house is stunning and the guide I had was absolutely wonderful in her narrative.

Amazing to see the house and imagine life as it was then. Learning a little history and standing where he stood is just out of this world! Staff was extremely informed about the building and the life that was once.
