Reviews of Boston Common Garage
Definitely reserve online for cheaper parking fees. An easy walk to all the spots in downtown Boston as it is pretty centrally located. If you are driving in and not taking the subway this is a good parking place.
Convenient for start of freedom trail. Park on top is nice to cool down with kids (it had water only ankle high - saw some homeless washing their clothes in there too though). If prepay machine isn’t working you can pay at the exit.
Fairly easy parking and easy to pay for. It's underground parking and there is usually plenty of room to find a parking spot. Allows great access to tour Boston from or do the freedom trail as well.
An easy place to find parking in the heart of the city, but be aware that the streets around the Boston Garden are one-way, going counter-clockwise, so you have to be in the far left lane to get onto the street that has the entrance to the garage, which is on the right side of that street.
Centrally located parking garage - right in the middle of Boston common - close to Freedom trail and other Boston sightseeing places. I think the parking was under $30 a day which is not bad for Boston, weekends $18. Even in high tourist season we found some spaces. I definetly recommend this place.
This garage was super clean and relatively inexpensive through SpotHero. It is fully underground so the entrances were somewhat difficult to find and the levels were hard to navigate. Other than that, I found this parking garage to be more than sufficient for my needs 🤷♂️ …
Affordable parking and walking distance to lots of things. Make sure you screen shot your parking barcode. Poor to no coverage inside and I wasn't able to open the gate to get out
Good central location for sight seeing Boston.... No need to worry about another parking garage if this one is available
So clean & convenient!! I paid $16 reservation online for the whole day, i love it!!
So glad we found this garage when we were going to be in the area. We were heading to the Old Town Trolley and this was right by the stops we wanted. Such easy parking. Clean. Easy to navigate. Good pricing for being in the center of Boston. Highly recommend!
Fairly priced. Pretty neat to park your car and come out into the beautiful park.
Parking was good but some will park very near to car and had to check every time
Conveniently located at the heart of Boston, this is one of the few garages that are still affordable to park your car in Boston. Sometimes, depending on the level one finds a spot, it feels very stuffy and last time it smelled bad, but it’s not always.
Best parking garage I’ve utilized anywhere. Wide spots, well patrolled by Mass Convention Center Public Safety.
Was on vaca, had no issues parking there for a whole day. Seemed secure and safe.
Garage underneath the Boston commons. Plenty of parking available especially in the morning. Very close to everything. One problem we had is that going back, the QR code won't work and won't let us into the garage so we just waited until someone came out and went in.
It was bright and well lit. I felt safe entering and exciting the garage.
Clean nice & well labeled. Easy to find your car and plently of exits. Cell reception is limited. Parking is expensive ...starting at $12 per hour. <~~only reason for minus 1star.
This is a really nice parking garage that’s very conveniently located for many of Boston’s big tourist destinations. The MBTA is by far your best option for getting around (plus walking), but if you have to drive and street parking is tight, this is a solid option.
Easy to get too.
Clean, well lighted, easy to park!
Pay attention to what the name of the level you are on as well as the name of the building you exit when you come out of on the ground floor.
$24 bucks for 2 hours vs parking in Salem for 8 hours an paying $5.
This garage is underneath Boston commons which makes it a perfect place to park for getting Around. Very conveniently close to the shops. This is a also a few mins away from Quincy market. The prices are also quite competitive.
Reasonable rates in a nice location central to many Boston attractions
Very good location and the most reasonable prices for overnight parking, especially on weekends.
Tip: I paid online for Friday 4pm-Saturday 8am and then paid online again for Saturday 8am - Sunday 8am. I did not scan in again on Saturday because the car didn't leave the garage. When I went to exit Sunday morning the machine read that I never checked in with barcode. Luckily a very friendly and helpful staff member was able to get me out. Might be worth it to scan in for the day if you end up buying additional time online.
Very clean. Feels safe and great location.
Parked here for free EV charging. Facility needs better signage indicating where charging stations are
My favorite place to park in the Boston area. VERY clean and well-lit, which is very important to me. Plus, it’s central to just about anywhere I want to go in downtown. See y’all again soon!
Best parking in all of Boston. Clean and safe. Have parked there for years while attending the Boston marathon. You can’t park there on marathon day but we come into town and stay at a friends place so parking here works.
Nice garage but they should put it up somewhere that you need to bring the card with you so you can pay before you come back down to your car
This garage is convenient to downtown, clean and well lit.
Easy to get to, spots were marked well and staff was helpful. Seemed to be located right in the middle of everything downtown.
beware- we bought a ticket on the 4th for fireworks and then found street access to the Garage completely cut off. No previous announcement by police or garage. We had to go home. They were great about refund- no problem there- but it could leave you stranded if there's a big event downtown. Get there before evening ( but that may defeat the purpose of paying for the spot to begin with).
Nice place. New. Well iluimnated and no so expensive for Boaton. Ideal to park and start your day at Boston. Near the visitor center and Freedom Trail
Convenient but it's gotten pricey
Very narrow and kinda dark. I’d be scared to go in alone at night
Ole reliable when it comes to parking in Boston. Expensive, but their website makes it really clear what the prices will be ahead of time. Centrally located and convenient. Official online deals for weekends etc.
Good central location to walk to nearby attractions
Great parking area. Make sure you take your ticket with you . And also take pictures of the parking place and the door your are exiting out to the park .
Very well priced and secure garage located under the Boston common area. Very easy to walk to TD Garden and other attractions while also being very well lit. You need your ticket to enter the garage via buildings on the common making it very secure. Paid $28 to park from 1:30pm to almost 12am. Highly recommend. Takes cash or credit.
So glad I researched where to park in the city before getting there. This place was awesome. Plenty of parking for a Thursday morning. Yes, it is $28, but we'll worth it! We went to the visitors center from here! Park here and grab the hop on hop off trolley! We took the one from the visitors center. $16 per person for all day. City view trolley tour. Don't try to drive around in Boston. There is way too much construction and busy streets to navigate!
Centrally located and easy to navigate garage.
It's pretty convenient and not too expensive. Worst part was returning after they lock the doors to enter the garage because apparently you need the ticket to unlock them, which of course we left in the car. After pushing a bunch of buttons because we were freaking out it unlocked. Would have been nice it it was clearer that we needed to keep the ticket on us.
For a city it isn’t bad pricing wise
about 2 hours was 20 bucks, pretty expensive but well laid out
Easy in and out. I paid using an app and had a bit of problem scanning the code, and the staff was very helpful resolving it
Expensive but very convenient. Keep driving up and there are plenty of space at the top! Parked here twice with no issues. $40 each time. Ouch.
This was a very convenient parking location. The rates are pretty steep, but not terrible for parking in town. Wasn't perfect because only payment kiosk was working and it was sitting in a room with (apparently) no ventilation on a 90 degree day. Sitting around waiting for someone else to finish got old quickly. The garage itself was clean, well lit, and had plenty of ventilation.
Best parking in Boston. Central and easy in and out. Very low clearance garage so be very mindful of roof racks or larger trucks.
I pulled in once with Kayak racks on and the staff was extremely helpful in allowing me to remove them quickly and continue on my way.
-Excellent downtown location (Freedom Trail starting point)
-Expensive
It's a fairly priced garage for a city and the Boston Commons are lovely. However, you can get free 2 hour parking on Beacon Hill, and probably other streets nearby.
Easy to get into, directly under the park, plenty of parking spaces on a weekend, just a little more costly than any other parking downtown, but if you don’t mind an extra 15-20% to reduce the walk to the park, it’s worth it!
For parking in Boston, it's not a bad experience. The spots are good sized for SUVs and you get to do your own parking. There are multiple entrances to come and go from and it's hidden under the park. The spaces are clean and well lit. The price is average for Boston and within easy walking distance of several well-known tourist areas. The T is nearby and easy to get to for getting farther away. If you're going during the weekday try to arrive after 4pm for the best rates and leave prior to 8am.
The best parking experience I've ever had! I highly recommend this garage!
Reviewing a parking garage seems silly but Google said to do it so here I am reviewing a parking garage. After a questionable drive into the heart of Boston wondering if we were going to live or die because the city streets were apparently designed by a toddler given a crayon and paper we made it to this garage. This parking lot did its job by providing a clearly marked space to park my automobile. Decently well lit so I didn’t feel like I was going to be murdered in there. We parked, we paid, and we left. The end.
Good central parking with wide spaces in the middle of the city. The prices are reasonable compared to other places.
Best rate in Boston common period ! Late Overnight parking is only $5 if you entered after 9pm and get out by 8AM. 24 hour parking is $32 and THERE IS NO Start time at 5 AM or 7 AM like most other public parking garage. There is no building visible because it is underground parking entered from Charles St. Resetve your space online and get the QR code sent to you or take a picture and scan at the entrance, that's it !
Super convenient location. Higher priced but totally worth it for the location. Very clean.
Garage is at prominent location all famous food spots are just by side, Boston public garden is right there, you can catch train from nearby subway. You can follow freedom trail from there. Trinity church-Copley square are 0.5 miles. Rates are fine, especially on weekends and after 04:00 PM, even better after 09:00 PM.
Very reasonable pricing. Left my car there for 5 days with no issue and had access to it the entire time. Safe and secure, I recommend this one if you're ever in the area
Very clean and nice garage! Only complaint is it's a little low, my brother in law had to park his 6'8" truck elsewhere.
Easy in and out, and centrally located.
Spacious, clean and well lit. Easy to access off of Charles Street. Price is reasonable. Make note of the pedestrian entrance when you are leaving; they can be difficult to find later.
Easy to park, good location
Best place to park in downtown Boston!!!! Driving into Boston can be confusing** use your GPS and park here to visit all the historical sites. Easy in/out access and we were there on a Saturday from 11 am -6 pm**
cost = 12.00 = awesome
Great rates and easy to navigate.
My friend & I were desperate for a bathroom in Boston. In the end we paid $12.00 + $4.00. Pricey. It was modern & very clean near their office.
This was easy to navigate and had very wide aisles, which is important to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your car. It actually ended up being cheaper to just park there for the day than taking the train into the city. It's also centrally located, which is a plus.
Perfect for weekend parking. Enclosed and locsted under the park with secured doors to the top. Never had a problem parking here though the clearance is not high enough for lifted trucks or some luggage racks on SUVs. My only complaint is the expensive weekday rate.
I lost my wallet in the garage while on a business trip. An employee found it, turned it into his supervisor and they contacted me to ship it to me. I live in Portland OR, so not only did they ship it across the country, but when I received it all the money and cards were still in it. I want to give a big thanks to the employee and supervisor who were honest and loyal! Thanks!!
Nice garage, clean, well lit and secure. It's expensive of course, but no more so than all the parking in downtown Boston. It's completely underground. Sometimes I find the entrances a little hard to find on the Common but I'm not a regular parker.
A nice price for a day of parking. Safe and well lit. Can't beat the location!
The EV parking is extremely hard to access but otherwise it's a perfectly fine parking garage. There is zero service since it's below ground so if you need information about where you're going next look it up before you drive.
We recommend parking here. Large spaces. On the mid-level near the Charles St exit, there's rest rooms. We parked for over 4 hours and the cost was $18. Well worth it to be right at the beginning of the Freedom Trail.
Wait, I came in from...no it was....ok wait...Yeah.
Confusing as hell. I took pictures of my spot IN the garage, at the end of the lane, outside the entry, and a few feet uphill (including all signs), and it STILL took me about 45 minutes to find the entrance closest to my car. I'm sure long time residents have no problem navigating, but for the rest of us could really use some color separation or a plumb Bob like on the Sims. Hell, I'd take Christmas lights...
Convenient but expensive! Easily accessible, usually lots of parking available.
Pretty pricey, but it's convenient. You can start the freedom trail from here. It's pretty easy to get in and out of the garage.
Make sure you use a good machine when you bring your ticket back to your car because you can save a couple bucks by putting the ticket upstairs I'm not waiting until you actually leave as long as you leave within a few minutes likely they don't let you use the ticket twice to get back in the garage.
unbeatable $18 overnight on weekends if you can make it out of there before 8 am. the hotel down the street was sorely mistaken if they thought we were going to pay 60 USD to have them valet park our car instead.
Did it's job. Not outrageously expensive.
Very clean and felt safe..paid 28 dollars for around 4 hours
Centre location althoug pretty full. I paid easily with cash.
Great parking structure a little pricey but in a great location
Our go-to parking garage for showing guests around Boston. Inexpensive daily fare which makes it especially worth it for groups, clean, easy access, and it’s a great start and end in order to follow the freedom trail.
Such a historical and sacred space. So many lives have intersected here in different times, and their souls of liberty and commitment still linger. Freedom is alive at this place.
Easy access right by the park and T. Paying with card is simple as well unlike the issues i usually faced with MBTA parking booths at Alewife. But the parking rates seem expensive for weekend parking even when there are no events.
I can not say enough about boston common. living in boston area for over 11 yrs, this is one of my fav place around. i always find a meter parking however the under ground parking is right there, so much so close .. you can walk to and from the park, pretty much anywhere like downtown boston, copley place, chinatown, even to fenway.
Very good place to spend time with family.
Great place to park to get out and explore historic Boston. It is underground, so when your GPS says you are here look carefully!
Super clean and you can't beat the weekend rates, 12 dollar's for 3 hrs😁 …
Underground parking garage beneath Boston Common. Our go to spot in the City to park. Fairly priced and central enough to everything. Safe, secure, and clean for a garage.
This is the best option for commuter parking near Beacon Hill. The monthly rates are worth it if you park 3/4 days. EZ pass entry and exit makes coming and going a breeze.
Good place to park downtown. It was $28 but that’s not much more than paying to park at an MRT station and taking a family of 4 into Boston.
Convenient place to park in Boston. Some of the EV chargers are broken.
look no further. BEST garage in Boston downtown. Cheap af, Empty af, Secure af, Easily accessible af, right in the middle of all tourist attractions! Plenty of security walking around!
Great location to park! Very easy to get in and out of. Close to everything!
Easy to get to. Middle of everything convenient. Fair price, especially considering location.
Easy in, Easy out. Clean and safe. Great for tourists to park who don't want to take the time to figure out other less expensive places.
Convenient and well appointed garage
The garage is overpriced! I would recommend going to another local garage as they will have better prices. If you’re looking for security, then I would highly recommend.
Tons of parking under the common, just make sure you don't forget your ticket to get back in!
Great place to park for the weekend. Need a parking pass to get in and out, so the car is pretty secure. Also not horribly expensive.
Prices reasonable. Spaces small. Be careful opening doors. Need card, provided by vending machine, to re-enter parking area.
This is a convenient place to park for most trips in this area. After parking, you can take an elevator straight up into Boston Commons.
Well lighted BUT cold and stale air but expected fer an underground garage. Well situated fer tourists visiting Boston HISTORICAL Sites.
Convenient parking especially if you come to rest and walk in the garden. The parking lot is located directly opposite and it is very handy.
Most convenient lot in the city. Easy access to everything. However, it’s not cheap!
Huge parking garage. Not particularly cheap but given the central location (we started our touristy walking tour along the freedom trail just a few yards from the exit) I guess that's okay.
You can park here. No toilets so don't ask.
I always park here because it's cheaper than the rest of downtown. Nice little walk through the garden and commons too.
I had a problem with my phone signal when trying to enter the garage. The staff was so kind and helpful.
Totally Rossome place to park, one time my aunt left her car running and unlocked here for 3-4 hours while we ate at top of the hub!🤐 Totally safe nobody touched her car! …
Be carefull. Take all tickets so you can find your way back to your vehicle. Bring tons of $. Mr very in 65 years have I paid so much to park.
Soooo much cheaper than all other garages around! They even have special rates sometimes if you prepay online.
Lots of spaces, simple to use, easy to navigate. Conveniently located in the heart of Boston.
It's a little hard to find in the town, but reasonably priced parking make this a good spot if you're visiting Boston.
Center of the Boston and good place to park . $5 parking in Boston is very tough
Very costly garage if you could not find any other place for parking, I would suggest lyft or uber instead of driving in big Boston area
Parking is so hard to find here. I am from new zealand so i am not ues to having to find parking lol. But I liked the parking here was good. Did not cost that much. Was very good.
Affordable and almost always has space. There’s multiple entrances so remember which one you used!
This garage is liiiiit!
Organized and clean, clear instructions, convenient affordable night parking on the weekend when I went to watch a movie at AMC.
Clean.
Decent rate for all day, very clean
Very nice location, reasonably priced and convenient to reach key spots in downtown Boston!
Good place to park your car. It’s not too expensive in the weekend.
Few times I was there too me 10min to find parking. But it is downtown so can't expect much
Easy Boston Parking! Put me right in the middle of the Common, so I could get everywhere I wanted.
Good experience! Very clean and easy to navigate.
Very safe and and a great place to park for those late nights. They have cameras but no active security so I wish they had that.
My 04 Tahoe just barely fit in there. Sketchyyyyyyyy
Easy enough to find using GPS. Cheaper than most other parking in Boston.
Like the underground parking in the heart of the city
Proximity to a lot of places and the subway makes this place great.
Prepay thru parking app (Park Wiz for me) taking full advantage of high tech avoiding paying stations.
Very convenient parking with four charging stations. Best rates in Boston.
Convenient, easy, safe, less expensive than other options!
Really great location, and there is usually space and a reasonable price on the weekends.
the easiest place to park your car while on the stroll in the beautiful Boston. The parking garage situated underground in the Boston public park.
Easy check in and out. Lots of places. Very cheap for weekend.
Large spaces, easy in and out, reasonable prices ($28 for 10 hours, $32 for full day)
Cheap clean weekend Boston parking..... 16 bucks for the day versus the 10 I spent at the garden for 8 minutes
Easiest place to park in BC!!
Easy to park, always space available, but can be expensive unless staying for a prolonged period of time
Very convenient - for the location, the price (on weekends at least) is a good deal. Its also very easy in and out
Absolutely wonderful place to walk around on a warm day or in the snow, little one enjoyed it as well.
Clean, affordable, safe and prime location for parking.
Great location, pretty good rates. Cheaper on Sundays. It's a little confusion to get out.
Parking is expensive in Boston, and this lot is no exception. But in comparison to other lots, this is your best option downtown.
Reasonable prices
Easy parking. Okay price but good location.
Good location with normally many spots available. Decent weekend pricing
Good place to park if you want to get in and out of Boston faster.
Easy in and out parking in the evening.
Nice and organized car parking. Pricing was reasonable
Super clean and easy to use garage.
The motorcycle parking is awesome. Free to use electric air pump.
Very convenient location to park and walk the common and local shops.
Super cheap parking. Reserved a parking space online(only $16/day).
Relatively cheap. $28 per day
One of my best parks ever
Easy to find your car& love you cold get out easily.
Affordable prices for parking in Boston downtown..$18 for 3 hrw
If you have to park in Boston this is the place. Best prices.
Clean, good location to visit the downtown
The layout is confusing. It's not clear where the exits are. All the elevators were out of service. Prices were okay.
Easy to get to safe to leave your car with no worries
You're going to pay high prices to stay at this garage
Convenient, clean, secure. Expensive, but so is all Boston parking.
DO NOT USE SPOT HERO FOR THIS LOCATION.
If you pay ahead, there's no guarantee you'll get a spot.
Convenient location. Rates aren't too bad considering. Easy in and out!
Way over priced, but convenient if you absolutely need to park on the Common
I only park here on weekends, but its a fair price for the location.
Great spot to park when you want to hit the town.
Well lit garage, clean... How much more can you say about a parking garage???
Easy to get to and exit from.
Unusual bright parking, conveniently located. I like it!
$18 for 3 plus hrs. Convenient on weekends but not cheap
Its a garage. Grest location. Didn't get mugged or car jacked, lol.
It's a garage there's nothing more to say about it just lock your doors
Nice and well lit. Easy in, easy out of downtown Boston.
Charging stations, zip cars, no Wi-Fi
Easy place to park when walking he Freedom Trail.
Super expensive I hate having to drive into Boston and need to park.

Pricey but super convenient... best on week nights
Very nice and easy accessibility to Boston Common.
Clean safe and convenient location
Easy in easy out put you right in the heart of downtown Boston
Pricey, also found it difficult to find my car in the garage.
expensive, but close to public transportation to get to Fenway
Parkable
Parking lot is usually overcrowded but at least I didn't fight to find street parking
Forgot about street parking. It's like 11 bucks and everything's sorted.
This is the place to park for anywhere near downtown or the theater district.
Little pricey, worth it. Mohammad is the best.
Reasonable price to park on weekends
Good parking under Boston common park.

28$ für 10 Stunden am Tag. Klingt viel, ist aber absolut fair. Mitten in der Stadt, sicher, sauber… bis 6ft 3in Höhe kein Problem. Passen also auch sehr hohe SUV rein. Am Wochenende günstiger.
