Great concert venue! Saw KSHMR and he did not disappoint. There were large screens, lasers, strobe lights, LED lights on the ceiling, smoke jets, confetti and more! If you like being visually stimulated, this place is for you. The bathrooms were large, clean and easy to get to. There is free bottled water in front of the stage and First Aid staff walking around to help people. Getting in the venue was fairly easy but there will be a line, even at 11pm. Leaving Echostage may be tricky if you didn’t drive. Public transit is not available after 2am and ride share is hard to get. I will be back!

First time checking out this music venue space in DC. I loved the big space for DC standards. Multiple levels with plenty of bathrooms and attendants working the bathrooms too. Went to DC capital pride event and it was nice. Overall, plenty of staff to ensure your safety and good lighting along with DJs. It’s a great place to have a club night in the area.

The Griselda concert was live!!!!! Echostage is not huge, so for the price I paid I was way closer than I feel like I should've been. The pics I posted were right before Griselda came out we worked out way way closer to the front. Had a blast going back very soon. Also no violence after the show so that was cool too.

Echo is an amazing venue. I'm here 2-3 times a week normally for EDM shows and it's by far and large one of if not my most favorite music venue. Drink prices are a bit high, and I'd appreciate chips and snacks sometimes being available outside of the bathroom attendants, but overall a great club ran by great people.

Nearly 10 years going here. In recent years crowds can be downers depending on the artist. Medical staff and security are top notch. Drinks are pricey just like every other nightclub. Gorgeous festival esque LED wall and a giant Dance Floor. Tickets are affordable. Club has it all. Lasers, CO2 Cannons, confetti, & Trippy Visual effects. Rough area of town surrounding the venue and rip-off price parking are why it’s 4 not 5 stars. Travel in groups. And be prepared to cough up $40-60 Cash only for parking.

Great venue!!
I was very impressed by the staff and the cleanliness of Echostage! The staff is very well organized and helpful. The venue is kept clean and well laid out. There's no obstructed view from the main floor, which is awesome!
The merch counter is in the corner, out of the way. Restrooms are either side of the building. There is a long bar on one side of the venue. They do have a coat check which is very nice - $5 pet item.
I look forward to attending more events at Echostage!

Spectacular venue for electronic music. Strict security (goes through wallets). Free water if you walk up to the security near the stages. A lot of bathroom space available. Great audio quality and open space for dancing.
Melissa Sanders
Armin up close and personal! Great venue! Make sure you have your ID or a photo of your passport on your phone. Event parking next door is $40. Great bartenders! Water bottles get distributed. Crowd was courteous as much as crowds can be he he

Went here for a Sofi Tucker concert and had a great time. Well worth it to get a table as the price was really good for the service and experience we had. Can't wait to go back!

The show was definitely entertaining. Not sure why there needed to be the awkward female uniforms on the wait staff or such production around bottle purchases. It should be about the music. That said, all the staff and security were friendly and worked hard.

Love coming here. Artist selections is diverse. The vibe is amazing. It’s a large venue. Doors open at 9pm for EDM concerts. It’s fine to arrive late. The opener usually starts at 10/10:30pm. Then the headliner will come on at 12/12:30pm. Getting an Uber or Lyft takes a while in the area that late cause of the sheer amount of people also getting rides. No problems going alone or with a group. Gone for Alan Walker, Illenium, and Adventure Club.
Elias Rauch
Echostage always is an excellent experience. Get a table with 5-8 friends and have a blast.
Bar accessibility 5/5
Restroom access 5/5 ( largest and cleanest I've seen in a club)
Line processing 5/5
Aesthetic and atmosphere 5/5
Music 5/5
Security and workers are very nice too. Many places have overbearing security- here, they actually treat you with respect. Always excited to return!
Charlie Butchko
It was awesome! I got to see DJ Diesel (Shaq) perform life. The bathrooms are very clean, with attendants there to soap your hands and hand you paper towels. As well as that, was close to the front during the performance and there was staff handing water bottles out to the crowd. I got a few drinks at the bar (tequila sunrise and 2 shots of vodka,) each were $10. By the end of the show it got pretty crowded, so if you’re claustrophobic make sure to mentally prepare yourself, or stay further away from the stage. All else aside, for sure gather a group of buddies and find a show you like to check out echostage!

I've lost count of the times I been here! First time I crowd surfed 😂 and I'm a big boy..
Just saw Excision and it was SURREAL, would definitely recommend
Just make sure you're good with transportation!
Mike Figueroa
One of DC's best music venues. It has a huge dance floor, great sound system, and is relatively easy to navigate. The club itself is a bit far from most places, so be careful calling transportation.

Got tickets to see Deadmau5 on NYD 2023 as a Christmas gift. The building was nice and big, music sounded freakin amazing. Lights and screens were mind blowing. The staff working the bar on the floor were super polite and offered water the second you looked their way. They know what's important here! Never stopped moving and did anything they could to help. Other staff were not so polite and for no obvious reason. Going through the check and ticket scan, if you asked a question it was like you inconvenienced them. Very well could be because of how many people they have to get through or just the job in general.
There are tables, but you have to pay for them. Not sure if the prices vary or not. Even though the tickets from ticketmaster have a seat number, it is only standing unless you paid for a table. Not terrible, just wanted to mention it as informational.
I'd go back again for another Deadmau5 show.
Nicole Earle
I can’t recommend this venue enough. I saw Deadmau5 here and had an amazing time. Awesome space, great sound, and very nice staff. The line may look long but it moves fast!
Redz the Barber
Staff and security were cool considering alot lol... venue wasn't too crowded... drinks were cheap and not bad
Cj White
Been to a ton of shows here and saw GRiZ last night. Amazing production and staff all around. Immaculate sounds.
Been to 100+ EDM shows all across the country and I've never felt this cramped.
Richard Chapman
Parking sucks. Club is cool. Good shows there.
Blake B
Solid venue. Saw Armin van burren. Amazing show. Drink prices not as bad as other venues. Parking a bit of an issue, bad area not many options. Get there early. They care about their patrons though free bottled water shows they have hearts. Would go back to this venue over many others in a heart beat solid vibes. Bar tenders have Personality and make decent drinks considering they have to pump out thousands an hour.
Con F
Came here for Tiesto concert. I like that the venue is small enough. The bathrooms were also clean. Lots of stalls.
Laurie Stringham
This was our first time here. We had a great time! There were no issues getting an Uber or Lyft to or from the venue. The atmosphere was hopping and so much fun. If noise is an issue for you, bring earplugs for sure. It took a day to get my full hearing back. The talent tonight was amazing and electric. We danced until we couldn't anymore. If you aren't dancing, move to the back of the balcony. There was a pretty good selection at the bar and the people were great to get to know. It is a young crowd, but they didn't seem to mind a few older women joining them. Great time!!
Rachel Koppleberger
It was a great experience, loved seeing Alan Walker in person!!! I docked a star though because there is NOTHING anywhere about a no food policy. My sister and I had packed some protein bars, some fruit in a Tupperware, and brought a sealed bottle of water each and ALL of it was tossed. They did let me keep my opened pack of gum, but all the sealed food items were thrown away. I could understand the water since they have a bar inside, but the food (especially the Tupperware, they could have emptied it and handed it back) is quite annoying.

Most of the time echostage is not a bad place to come to for shows! I went to my first house show yesterday and everyone had a lot of space and pretty nice compared to other shows! I never really had a bad experience here but I have known people who has ): usually staff is very nice and friendly though !
Peter Valenti (NoBe Guy)
I have attended a dozen concerts or more at Echo over the years. This really is a hell of a venue if you love the mainstream EDM scene. TL;DR below.
What echo does right- reasonable enough nightclub drink prices (Still $10-20 for rail drinks), huge soundsystem (you will leave hoping you wake up without tinnitis), nice visuals (great in front AND back), big name artists play here (pretty much every week), huge bathrooms (short lines if any even when packed), they play late (3-4am show end times typical, no other venue around Maryland or Virginia seemingly allows this.
Tables are actually great value. Don’t be afraid to get one. Make sure you have 8 reliable friends who pony up.
What Echo does wrong:
1) Oversell the floor; big name shows that sell out, you feel like a sardine, and you cannot escape it without hitting the bathroom or near the front gate (where you cannot see the show).
2) Shirtless people; it’s gotten worse over the years to the point where you actually need to anticipate brushing up on sweaty shirtless people every time you go, especially if in the back.
3) loudness of speakers; only a problem in front, but this is the loudest it will ever get, at any concert. They have festival sized speakers, indoors. You will likely permanantly damage your ears if you come here often and stand directly in front of them. Not exaggerating, bring plugs if you’re concerned.
4) Audio technical preferences; the sound system has been dramatically improved and is state of the art. No more qualms over blown bass. If the music sucks 100% blame the artist.
TL;DR : Great venue to get cranked, have a good time with friends and dance to loud music late into the night. Not a great venue if you are sober, claustrophobic, don’t like extreme loud noise, flashing lights, bumping into dozens of people, or shows ending at 4am.
Trevor
Went for Mersiv 12/10/22! Amazing show, sound was crazy good super strong bass! Security was super professional and took care of everyone and every situation, handing out waters and ear plugs all night really paying attention to the crowd. Would love to visit again.
Dominic Newman
Echostage doesn't stop impressing me. They bring out huge names, have a great venue, are relatively inexpensive in ticket prices, give free water & ear plugs, and overall have an awesome concert venues that they run. My favorite venue for raves and prolly going out in general in DC.
Juan Alcivar
Omg first of all thank you to Patrick. He started it all. The staff was great very on point. Bottle girls super friendly and overall
Deadmau5 was amazing the light work the vibes crazy made a great friend and met some cool people.
15 hours baby worth every hour
Jeremy George
Nice venue easy to get to not that far off of Route 50. Sounds system was amazing! Only problem was too many people being over served, being drunk and belligerent and being overcrowded. If they continue to sell out they're going to need to rethink their policies because if there was an emergency last night they would have been numerous people killed in the stampede.
Jake Geiger
Got to see deadmau5 here new years day!! Everything about this venue is perfect. I hope he comes back again because I would definitely go!
Bennett Proegler
This was such a fantastic venue to see shows in! Lost Frequencies was amazing here and can't wait to go back next time I'm in DC!
Kemi Sotelo
The venue was great, the lighting system is definitely very well done. Sound system has a big range depending where you are in the venue. Staff was friendly and the bar had nice service.
Victoria Hübenthal
🤍🙌🤍 great place to unwind and dance away to some awesome DJ’S from all around the world🤍 …
Katie Steinbauer
There's a reason this place is top rated. Vibes are immaculate. Top acts always running through, if you're here for the bass! Staff and security always so friendly. Go VIP if you really want to feel over the moon ✨️
Sawyer Williams
Voted #1 nightclub in the WORLD in 2021! Echostage gets the greatest DJ's from all over the world at a reasonable price of admission. I dreaded getting through security at the door, but all of the staff were very friendly and quick. Drinks are expensive, of course, but not nearly what you'd pay at a stuffy club in Vegas or elsewhere. In my experience, the people at these shows are all in their 20's. Very much an EDM specific crowd, not simply a casual club atmosphere. To be expected when you have to buy your tickets in advance. No dress code, which is super nice. One big thing to note is there is no designated parking to my knowledge and Echostage is not located in the greatest part of town, so I always recommend Uber in and Uber out.
Nayan Patel
One of the best dance clubs I have ever been too. Large dance floor. Clean restrooms and a very long bar counter! They host all the top artist in the EDM scene.
Hyun Cho
Pros: show, venue, audio quality, and bartenders were all great. Cons: drinks were really expensive: $15 for 1 shot; and there were these shady people wanting $60 for parking.
Simon Alebachew
This is a great place. So far I have been to two concerts and they were amazing. The place is quite nice and parking isn't as difficult as it should be. Inside the sound system is actually amazing. The rest rooms are very well maintained. The drink we had for the concert wasn't really great and mostly devoid of alcohol. Overall a nice convenient place to enjoy.
ag. aliss
Always great time! One of my faves venues! Supports all the visuals, it is very spacious, and always good crowd!
Forrest Allison
There's a reason this place is considered the best electronic music venue in the country. I met my ex here and we dated for 5 years.
That's how good it is
Matthew Parker
Excellent venue for EDM! The staff is friendly and helpful. The lighting is incredible but the sound is too loud (use Loop earplugs! 😁). It would be nice if they consistently provided the approximate time that the headliner's show will start. Doors often open at 9:00PM with the main event not starting until midnight or past. The photos are from Martin Garrix on October 3, 2019.
Matthew Lynch
Had a great time. Went to see Carl Cox, he was awesome. Echostage is a great place. The staff there does a great job taking care of the guest. Definitely a large area. I've been there twice now and had a great time both times. They were passing out free Waters at the front to make sure everybody was staying hydrated. The restrooms were easily accessible and considering very well maintained. The staff up front was very professional. And the wait was not too long to get in. Great place to hang out and have a good time with friends.
MAK Mike
Kevin Gates Tore The House Down!💯 …
Rakxya Poudel
I was there for David Guetta’s Concert. Concert was supposed to start at 9:00 pm but DJ showed up at 12:00 and it was worth the wait. This place is amazing. Great lights, big space and the sound setup is just awesome. I’ll definitely recommend this place.
Nik Lathia
I love Echostage! The layout is ideal for concerts and there's easy access to the bar areas for drinks or water. The bathrooms are easily accessible and have plenty of stalls to accommodate large groups. Really well designed venue and the lights and sounds were awesome!
Brian
Great time. The staff were really professional and caring. I liked seeing how they were treating everyone. Make me feel welcome. I would definitely go back.
Alyson Ann
Great venue, saw Above & Beyond, but can be a little difficult getting an uber/lyft out of the area after 3am.
Ty Smith
Love this place, great sound system, friendly staff and a safe place to listen to dance music. Echostage also gets major credit from me for the depth of the lineups they regularly bring to the venue. We are lucky to have a venue like echostage in the DC area that provides access to a wide variety of EDM artists from around the world.
Dylan VanW
They always sell too many tickets. Other than that, nice great venue and the crowd completely varies between arts. Headbangers are the best
JBlazd
Saw Steve Aoki and Flux Pavilion here. I gotta say the venue is dope and the crowd is awesome. I read tons of reviews mentioning over crowding and I can definitely see how that would happen and how packed it can be. In my experience it wasn't that bad and the overall all vibe and presence of the whole thing was awesome and definitely worth going and checking out. It is in a sort of shady area but there are a bunch of cops that just chill around. If you're getting a Lyft or Uber definitely go to the 711 or Exon cause I don't believe cops were letting people get picked up in front of the echostage. Other then that hit up the 711 for cigs cause they're cheaper there then surrounding stations. The beer was like 5-9 bucks and the shots are 10 a pop. Definitely one of the best clubs I've been to and I'm from Miami.
Sadie Hamrick
Staff here can be really rude. Every time I walk up to them for help, they start yelling at me to walk away before I can even ask. I lost my group so I went up top to try to look out and find them, and got yelled at for doing that too. I asked someone else where I could go to sit down and they just pointed without even looking at me. You’re always being yelled at and corrected and it’s really overwhelming
Bridget Leslie
Great place for concerts! The sound is amazing 🤩. Well thought out venue. New artists as well as international names. …
Oscar Scarpett
First time being here and the vibe is completely different compared to arena concerts. The crowd wasn't just standing around; they all had energy and jumped, clapped, sang, etc. On a sold-out show, it gets pretty crowded, so be prepared to be constantly touching someone. This combined with people drinking alcohol can get pretty crazy as there's people that dance and jump with their drinks in their hands and sometimes even throw them so be prepared to have some drinks spilled on you and be standing on a sticky floor, nothing too bad though. I do agree with everyone else though, after like an hour or two, it starts to get very hot. That stuff aside, I had a great night going to see Alan Walker and the crowd was amazing. Can't wait to come back to see illenium soon :)
NiKe ReV
This place was amazing. They passed out water the whole time, security was very active. However, being front row and seeing passed out people, paramedics could have been a little more responsive. However, great clean venue, AC was on too. I felt comfortable the whole time.
TheManuelsuero
Greatest EDM club to party at here in the DMV, always bringing great artist and making sure everyone is safe!
So Maryn
The dress code here for DJ events seem to gravitate toward “less is more” or think “beach attire”. Pants optional in the sense that bikini bottoms are acceptable as minimum bottom half. Shirt optional for some men.
Beware of “bikini trains” moving quickly through a crowd. Noticed an innocent couple who got divided instantly by a train of arrogant bikini wearing club goers. If you don’t pay attention such bikini trains can step on your foot as they stampede you by. Forgot to bring my glow sticks but it was nice to see some colorful glow shoes and even glow fingertips.
First level has an open wide space and second level has table service. Restrooms are easy to find and each stall has a note to remind those that only one person per stall is allowed. Once you get in past thorough security it’s not easy to get out as although exit signs are marked, where to actually exit from a lane perspective is hard to find. Parking is challenging near the venue and expect to pay $40-60 right next door.
Echostage I thought you were a top notch global venue but you fell short when it comes to servicing your global clientele. An Asian bartender refused to serve us drinks at the bar even when we were standing right in front of her with no one else around. She did however serve others who approached after us asking them what they want. She seemed to be racially profiling my friend who was wearing a religious head covering. We found another bartender who was much more friendlier and we still had fun.
Emily Davis
The venue was A+, parking was outrageous and situated in an unofficial way, but the event security staff was kind and willing to offer assistance. I went for the Davido concert which was terrible and would have gotten 0 stars. But Echo stage was great and I hope to go to a legit concert there soon!
S1nister_DJ
The venue is amazing. The staff was super helpful and amazing handing out waters when it's 100°+ because of the crowds. The best club/concert venue I have ever experienced.
Paige Love
Huge venue and the VIP section is worth it. She brought some place. The best club ever
Angel Robles
First time at this place and had a blast. Looking forward to attend future events. P.S. there is plenty of parking around across the bridge/road.
Jaimen Holland (Get Vooped)
There's a reason it has been voted the best nightclub in America 2 years running. I've made MANY memories here, and you will to. I cannot tell you how many shows/concert's/raves I've gone to here. It's a location that commands respect, and in turn will treat you right.
The difference maker in your experience is never Echostage itself, but the people around you and the Artist you're seeing.
Olivia Martucci
Echostage is voted the best for a reason!! I’ve been coming here for over 5 years. They bring in the best artists. So spacious. Two levels. Incredible sound system. Service and management is amazing. Some of my best memories in dc have been made here. All my friends and I come here! You need to come.
Alex Wolfe
Just experienced my first show last night at Echostage. I've been to a lot of venues and been to a lot of shows, but WOW Echostage blows it out of the park. Very nice and easy layout, super clean bathrooms (nicest ive ever seen at a venue), friendly staff, fantastic sound and production. Echostage is #1 in the US for a reason.
Tim Busekrus
Pros:
-Echostage brings the best EDM talent
-Sound quality & lights are great
-Small enough to feel intimate
-Bartenders are fast (unlike The Anthem where it can take up to 30min to get a drink)
-Crowd is generally very friendly and takes care of each other
Cons:
-SUPER sketchy part of DC--right next to a shady strip club
-Parking is a nightmare (HIGHLY recommend ubering)
-Lots of drug use inside the venue (if that's your thing then I guess it's a pro)
-The main act usually doesn't come on until 12 or 1 in the morning (even though the event technically starts at 9)
Four stars because once you are inside the venue, the place is sick! If you rave, Echostage is for you. If you don't, maybe get a feel for the scene before coming here.
Righthero Phillips
Large venue, however I wasn't at all impressed with the sound system. The sound quality was ok and wasn't emersive. Did I enjoy my time there yes, but only because of how well the DJ's played their set. Would I come back? probably, if a favorite artist who I haven't seen in a while or doesn't visit DC often would be spinning. I would be so much more excited if their sound system was on point, since there are other clubs that bring in big names that have better sound systems.
M.J. Etienne
You have to find your own parking or pay someone nearby that has their own parking lot a ridiculous price. This inside ok, if you do not plan on sitting anywhere. There's seating upstairs, but you won't be able to see the stage. However the Kevin Gates concert gets 👍🏽👍🏽. …
Michael Marquet
Had a ton of fun at Nora en Pure the other week. Great sound, good drinks from the bartenders, and safe.
Han Jang
As much as we like to complain about Echostage, going to venues in other cities made me realize that Echostage is actually pretty nice. The production, speakers, etc. in NYC venues for shows of a similar size just aren't as strong.
Dana Drew
The venue was easy to find but parking is expensive for a good spot. So be prepared. Management needs to have monitors installed along the side of the stage so the audience is able to fully enjoy the performances. Otherwise I had a good time and would return being better prepared for the experience offered by Echostage.
Rommel Marcelino
It's honestly always a great time.
Most of the times there's drink specials before shows.
The venue is a good size
The production (depending on the artist too) is usually amazing!
And the speakers will take you to another land.
Echostage:
The place where you can finally fully experience your favorite DJs... Locally.
Evan
awesome venue but frankly they turned the volume up waaaay too much, my ears hurt for days. it was to the point where i left early, i could hear the venue a half mile away.. if you’re going to see a bass heavy artist, ear plugs are 100% necessary. i love the feeling of the bass but it was deafening
Matthew Kenyon
Best concert venue in the world. The staff is amazing the production is excellent and they book the best artists.
Tamonte Washington
I've seen performances from a wide variety of acts at this venue, and have never been disappointed. Friendly staff and a safe environment that I look forward to visiting again.
Msy. Chrissy
Great venue, modern decor, well kept restrooms and efficient staff. I saw Koffee and Daniel Caesar live in concert. The lighting was first class. Bars stretch almost to the length of ther dance floor making it very convenient to get a drink. Upstairs is cool with tables that can be reserved as well as some standing room.
Lisa Hummel
Amazing time seeing Steve Aoki, fantastic light show and sounded great. I would definitely come back.
Sasank Gadiko
Great venue for EDM music.
Matt Kern
Easy to recognize location. Pretty spacious club, which is definitely a plus considering how many big names they get performing there each year. Good sound quality from the speakers that will leave your ears ringing for the rest of the night! Bar is pretty pricey, however they do offer free water cups (at time of this writing).
Parking nearby can range anywhere from 15 to 50 for the night, depending how much you want to walk.
Kyros Christian
#1 Club in the World for good reason. Great DJ's almost every other night, and an amazing sound system. I pretty much live here half the month.
Aaron Shenk
This was my first time at this venue, and I was so so impressed. We saw Chelsea Cutler, and the venue and staff were so great. For starters, there were so many staff on hand to answer any questions and there was plenty of security to keep everyone feeling safe. For the actual experience, the sound system was phenomenal, the security guards passed out water bottles to the crowed between performances (!!!) and just went above and beyond the entire time. I will definitely plan on returning to this venue!
Christopher Prigmore
One of my favorite venues. Every time I've went its been for a rave but the bartenders don't make you wait very long for a drink. Best part....... the floor isn't sticky the moment you walk in the door..
Amena Booth
This is me and my friends favorite dancing place. We come mostly for edm music but echostage keeps a variety of music shows.
Allan
One of the best venues I've been to. Sound is very good, staff is usually friendly and security isn't too bad. They pack this place like crazy though and there's often no room to move. They also don't allow LED gloves. Careful parking or walking around the area because it's not safe.
Samhita Returi
I give this place a 10/10, we were there for Martin Garrix after party and it was one hell of a night.
Corey R
Wow. JUST wow. Great venue! Great vibes! LOVED it. Can't wait for our next concert here.
Peter Stepanek
No wonder this place is number 1 edm house trance venue in the United States! Wow simply a real! The energy in the place is incredible nicely organized great performances great DJ lineups! A must see! Wow can’t wait for the next show. A tip Get a table with friends takes the experience to a whole different level! 🙌🙌🙌🙌 Tiesto!!!!! …
Pete
This is the place to have an amazing night with your friends. Drinks are pricey. Bring a credit card. You can enter with a small bag. If you are with a group, I will just buy a table upstair. After the show, order a Uber as fast as possible. Don’t walk too far down the street by yourself or just couple of your friends. If you have to wait for a ride, there is a gas station next to it. So stop reading the reviews!!! Just Go Have Some Fun With Your Friends Already!!! Wish this can help you guys.
Rissa
Awesome venue, sketch area though lol main artists don't come out until at least midnight. Learned that the hard way but front row is awesome. Also standing for 7 hours is too ......
Bryce n Carla Yuska
Has large 2-level space with good service. I was frustrated that I was not able to purchase tickets for an upcoming event.
Michael Unger
Tiesto was amazing as usual. Echostage was entirely to crowded to have any fun or dance. If you didn't have a vip table it was pretty miserable.
Alexander Medeiros
Echostage is always a hit if you love the energy of the crowd and gettin down with friends new and old! I've been about a dozen times in the past couple years with friends, girlfriends, exes, strangers, and acquaintances. I've been at VIP and had bottomless drinks and gone completely sober and been our DD. No matter what state you go, it's always an incredible experience. 10/10 recommend.
Luke Grodsky
Great venue but sometimes they over sell events making them unsafe and not fun. They should cut off sales at 75% capacity because it does feel WAY too crowded for sold out shoes..
Victoria
+ Quick to get in
+ Didn't charge me to drink a cup of water
+ Feel like a cool person for being there
- Extremely loud (but that is to be expected)
- Weirdly has two men's restrooms and no women's restrooms on one side of the room
- Parking is either sketchy or expensive ($40 for valet parking)
Only deducting a star because the parking was so dang expensive
craig mossinger
Great Music Venue!! Security can be a bit overwhelming in the bathrooms but it comes with territory I guess. They could handle themselves more professionally. The sound quality is good and they have bars on both floors and both sides of the venue.
Drew Palmer
Phenomenal sound staging and an excellent venue for electronic music. One of the best concerts I've been to, ever!
Keith Joseph
Lovely stage and outside area, with very reasonable pricing for drinks! Been coming here 6 years and they're always consistent and friendly. Lastly it is one of the most safest venues I've ever been to.
Karina Evora
The line was super long and slow for the KYS fest. My friends and I waited almost 2 hours to get in and once we did, there wasn’t even that many people inside. Not sure what the hold up was but we were not excited about it. The actual space is spacious and nice for the mid sized concert it was.
Brian Jessup
I always have a blast at Echostage. The lights, the sound, the energy of the crowd…. Phenomenal venue.
Aran H
Staff is amazing all around they keep the environment safe and fun. Great venue love it everytime!
Ken
The best indoor venue I have been to so far, and I have been to the popular venues in Philadelphia and NYC/Brooklyn. The show was sold out and it did not feel too crowded. I sweat at every indoor venue, but not this one! I was in the middle of the crowd and felt cool air circulation (though the outside temperature was in the 50s that night). The bartenders are nice and they give you free water! The production is top tier.
Jordan Schwartz (th3thrilld3m0n)
I always love attending Echostage! By far the best club I've been to! Fair prices for entry and not sexist! Beautiful special effects. The music is much louder than a typical club because this is setup as a concert venue! You WILL feel uncomfortable without earplugs! I recommend getting a $15-$20 pair off of Amazon. I don't know if echo still has a shuttle, but I have never seen information about it and i recommend getting an Uber a couple blocks away after.
Liliana Martinez
Staff members were nice, lights were great and drinks were normally priced for the area.
Was there to see Subtronics, but couldn’t enjoy the show. For the size of the venue they definitely oversold the amount of tickets and there are plenty of people saying the same thing online for the next major event (Excision). If they didn’t oversell the show, I would’ve given it 5 stars.
I would also like to add, I’ve been to so many raves at this point but for any big event at this venue, it appears that they always oversell. Something may need to change.
Stephen A
Such a great venue! The best in DC. Sound is 100%
Elena Galioto
Very nice and clean venue, staff was professional and friendly. Consistently handed out waters during the concert and immediately addressed disrespectful and aggressive audience members. Bartenders were super kind and polite. Great venue, great experience, would definitely come back!!
MarieClaire Egbert
Absolutely fantastic venue! With amazing staff and service. I had gotten a VIP table and it was the best night ever. Special shout out to Alex the table service director for being especially awesome. Will definitely be partying here again!
Ehsan Javadi
Great place to enjoy but surprisingly their sound system is not spider designed , to cover the whole dance area
Too loud to be played with high quality not enough clear sound or Boss wave !
Stacey M
One of the best venues I've been to. Bar was well staffed and I never had to wait for drinks. Employees were friendly and not pretentious. You cannot bring glow sticks/ necklaces/ bracelets in. Stayed at the Holiday Inn around the corner and was within easy walking distance. Overall great experience.
Michael Fagan
1st time there, good experience. The venue itself was good. It was a Hip-Hop show so the mics weren't turned up enough but overall the sound, atmosphere was all good.
Andrea
Premium bass! Omg feeling is another level of goodness to the EDM experience.
Jon Sears
Place is always a good time. Fairly easy to find and street parking is always around
Bianca Fermin
Major shout out to echo stage. Very organized and professional establishment. I was very impressed with the Rod Wave event and how it was managed. Drinks were greats and prices were decent. Security and staff were very alert and did an awesome job at managing the crowd and keeping everyone safe. The first aid providers went above and beyond for everyone. I will definitely be looking forward to more events at echo stage.
MICHELLE YOKAI
Outstanding team and venue from vip table service, to first rate medics, and top notch bar staff. Notably, Coco is not only serving us drinks but serving us ✨looks✨ and energy baby 👏
Is this yours queen? 👑 Don’t drop this. …
Alex Miller
What an experience. Iv been to other venues through out the country and nothing has ever lived up to the Echo Stage. The sound and lighting are absolutely the best I have ever heard and seen ANYWHERE. Drinks are a tad expensive ($15 for a vodka redbull) but it's still worth it to me.
Isai Linares
Been here a couple times already. Its got great sound, visuals, atmosphere and best of all awesome lineups. The bathroom attendants and pricey bar are negatives.
Bruna G
No matter how old you are if you want to spend a night like never before in your life 😜 I recommend you come to Echostage you can bring your disguise that I'll be great …
Naja Cherry
Parking is horrible but the sound is pretty good with shows, mostly standing room only
Cindy
It’s a very good club and have a lot of popular DJs performing there. I go there a lot and it has a great environment and crowd!
Yassir Ouchrif
It’s in a bad part of town but honestly you forget that the moment you walk in. Great atmosphere, great production, and always bringing the best DJ/producers in the game. Beware of sold out shows
Damien Stokes
1st time at Echostage, after years of avoiding the venue due to terrible rumors.
THEY HAVE TURNED THAT AROUND
Echostage in 2022 is a wonderful environment. Respectful staff, Security giving out water at the rail constantly. There is even a Medical Tent now, so if you have partied too hard, they will make sure you are ok, then let you back in. This is a practice that should be adopted by all venues.
James
I regularly go to EDM shows at Echo and it's always a blast🔥🐙🍃🦤😁. Drink prices vary by position at each bar😂 …
Sen Pei
trance djs are not showing their full potentials. even Armin played half trance tracks and half electric house in his set. because it's in DC?
Brendon M
Great shows! Great bar! They have big names and small names, and the prices are good! Quality of service has definitely increased since the acquisition by Insomniac!
nickzas
Saw Zhu here on his Ringo's Desert tour. Really great place with a well thought out design. Pretty spacious venue too and the staff got everyone in and out of the concert quickly and efficiently.
Rob Garcia
Currently #1 nightclub in the world and for good reason. This venue is EDM heaven. Staff is very professional, lineups are killer and has an over the top lightshow. This place is home base for anyone in our DC / VA / MD area that loves EDM. It's a must see venue all around and not to be missed!
Daniel Schrei
Killer venue for any kind of show, but especially dance music. Lighting and sound are off the charts, and they always book the best artists. Bar is great too. Plenty of room to move around, whether you're a front-row or wallflower type. Covid protocols followed. People that work there are about their business.
Ann C
Echo is great - quick service, good drinks, and good vibes. They have a place out back for smoking. No re-entry though, so if you leave be aware you can't get back in.
Tessa Houdek
Decent venue. Only issue is consistency and professionalism. Water bladders are not allowed, however they do hand out free bottles of water. Specifically the camelbak pouch (not the actual water bladder) is allowed, while the bladders are not allowed. This was one explanation of 1 employee, employee 2 said neither the pouch or bladder were allowed, and employee 3 said both the pouch and bladder were allowed. All 3 employees gave different answers in front of each other and looked at me as though they were clear. I asked for clear instruction and was told I had to leave the bladder outside but carry the pouch with me or check the pouch into coat check. This is why customers get frustrated, because staff is unclear and will kick anyone out. I also messaged echostage before the show and got clarification as to what was and was not allowed. So really 4 employees told me different things. Do better echostage.
john miller
This was a decent Lil event slick Rick there put on a good lil show ,,had to blaze outside but no one bothered u other then the street peddlers one of them owe me a hat for grabbing up my L thinkn he snoop on half baked ! But anyway other then that was a good setup not packed plenty of room only problem other then the scavenger was the 40 dollar parking cost
Michael Vanderlyn
Very fun venue for raves. Bring ear protection if you want to be near the front 🗿 …
The Loft
The 2021 number one dance club in the world. What else can you say?
Giles Peng
I went here for the first time to hear some new talent on the same line-up as a DJ I’ve followed for a while. This night club in NE D.C. is just North of the National Arboretum and the space is quite impressive. After entering the club, the main dance floor is big and in front of a stage where the DJs spin and Visuals are projected behind the DJ and to both sides of the front stage. On each side of the dance floor, there is a full bar, and there is an upper level for table service. There is also an outdoor section behind the the club to chat and mingle. Overall, I was quite impressed with this club for its interior design, good sound system, excellent lighting system design, and VJing system.
Chun T
Went to see Alan Walker on 11/21/21, which was sold for 9 PM. Me being a newbie shows up with my partner at 9 PM, and for 3.5 hours we stand around waiting for the opening act to be over (they are good, but I was tired after a full day and just wanted 2 hours seeing the artist I pay for). Pardon me if this is the norm and/or I just didn't know better, but this is how they try to get people to spend more time there and buy their drinks right? Isnt 3.5 hrs a bit too much?
Alan Walker is amazing. My legs disagree.
Nicholas Isola
Excellent venue. Sound was good and every location seemed to have a good view of the stage. Within walking distance of a couple hotels, which was really nice. Staff was quick to respond when one person got a little too "hands-on" with others.
Èl Check
Nice venue! Spectacular lighting! Area is urban. Parking $40 early arrivals and $30 late arrivals. Police station within 10miles. Enough staff to secure the establishment at full capacity. Bartender and waiters provided great service. VIP sections are quaint and nice bottles $200 to 500+/-. Bathroom was clean and stayed clean. Went there for a concert. Guards, table girls, bartender was cool and attentive. Was told to speak to Ben for a issue I had. That situation ended with lacking in customer service and quality management. Other than that....4 ****
Miguel Bustillo
This venue is known to be on the louder side, would definitely bring ear plugs. If you're staying close by, I would recommend a ride hailing service as parking isn't always guaranteed.
Shahram SHAH
Extremely roomy Warehouse nightclub what's a good sound system in amazing lighting system.
Nikolai Weichbrod
Great venue that attracts amazing EDM headliners!
T Robinson
NICE venue. The TSA body search was a little unexpected but I felt safe after. The concert was great!
Apollo Ryans
Enermous venue. Clean and well manage. Their is a center stage and and vip booths all along the second floor, none on the first floor.
Prices vary depending on the artists and who is opening.
VIP booths on average are reasonably priced.
There are 4 bars. Two up top and two on the first floor. Large bathrooms on both sides of the venue.
In addition there is an ATM inside the entrance past the ticket booth, on the right.
Spirits, energy drinks and beer are sold here.
No lockers to store your belongings at the venue
The only con that should be stated; Parking is limited. Most parking will be away from the venue in which you have to walk
Gus Humphrey
A great venue but the show I went to see was incredibly loud, would recommend ear plugs
Rob C
Large music venue with popular acts. They have a tendency to over sell big events, and they have way too many lights, but the overall atmosphere is solid.
Drinks $9 for a beer, $14 for a rail drink, $4 for a red bull
Rebecca Rose
I love this place! The venue is great and they take care of you at the rail and at the tables. One star off for the bartenders bar side manner but everyone has a bad day…
Haocheng Wang
Lots of famous DJs, just went to see Steve Aoki and it was amazing
Ebony Pierce
The visual effects, light show, sound quality and massive bass are on point here! My husband and I go once a year and we are never disappointed 💗 …
Daniel Nguyen
Always a good time at Echo!!
Adriana Kirby
Saw Deadmau5 and had and absolutely wonderful experience! Great hard seltzer too!!!
JT Kim
The music was loud! Wear earplugs if you're a musician and want to save your ears. The bars were long and operated by plenty of attentive bartenders so you never have to wait long to order your next drink. The bathroom had plenty of urinals and stalls so you can relieve yourself quickly and not miss too much of the show. Even my girl friends were able to do the same because the ladies' bathroom has plenty of stalls too.
Pre-book an uber to get out of there. Some of the artists they book can gather huge crowds.
Nashé High
Awesome space! Went to the National Cannabis Championship!!💯 …
Freddy Kristine
Fun venue, friendly staff. However, it is a bit of a trek from downtown DC. When it ends, the streets remind me of post-festival madness, people on the streets looking for their ubers, the traffic, etc. You’ll find your Uber eventually though!
Lauren
Great venue for edm!! The sound was amazing and its a pretty intimate venue, like a club. It felt safe and the bathrooms were clean and not crowded.
Ben Vait
Staff could have been nicer but the venue is very nice and the event was good.
Sam Osborne
Great venue, lives up to they hype. The volume was just right, loud enough but not overpowering.
The venue staff was friendly and respectful, especially if you address them in a similar manner. Patrick was particularly helpful and very responsive when I emailed the venue about leaving my card behind (doh!). He did everything he could to help resolve my issue.
Overall, great experience!
Mitch
A lot of fun, but they really need to get a handle on showtimes for the acts. 2 hours for an opener is excessive especially if you want to go home before 3am.
DavenRacc
Was here for the deadmau5 concert. His set was amazing, along with the energetic crowd and helpful staff. However, he did not start his set until 1 AM, which was 4 hours after the doors opened. We all ended up getting tired and extremely hot before we were even able to see who we bought the tickets for. Also, the venue is really crowded, so be prepared to have practically no space to yourself for the night. I really wish that Echostage wouldn't stall the headliners with hours of opening sets. I get that they need to make up for lost revenue over the last year, but after more than 3 hours of dancing/waiting for deadmau5, everyone was getting frustrated with the whole experience. My advice: show up a couple hours after the doors open.
Jake Niergarth
Great big room venue
Shiv
Here my review of Echostage.
The venue itself it alright. Has all the effects you would get from a show like lights, lasers, colors, smoke etc. Pretty cool I would say, but not mind-blowing.
Of course expect a crowd. While on the dancefloor there is only space for yourself just barely. The entire floor is wet and full of debris from alcohol. Expect pushing, shoving, bumping and occasional spilling on you from others. Drunk people and smokers are a guarantee.
As other mentioned, the main act does not come until after 12. Pursuant to this, there is someone else performing, but their songs have the same kind of generic beat. If you don't want to see the first person, come after 11.
Music itself of course is kind of loud. Even with earplugs, you can feel it but it's not that excruciating. I went to see Tiesto, and overall he was good but not amazing I would say. He played some recognizable recent hits and other mashups, but I would have liked to see more variety and some of his classics.
Bathrooms are alright with plenty of urinals.
Bar service was iffy for me. It was hard to get attention for just getting water, which I ended up not getting.
Overall, I would say it's a good experience for a concert, but don't expect everything to be perfect and opulent.
Agustin Cortes
Steve and Deorro were amazing tonight!!! We both got caked and champagned what an incredible experience it was. Everything went smoothly!
LL Fitz
When I've visited it's been well staffed with security and bar tenders, all staff have been really nice and responsive. Amazing venue for DJs, great sound system and visuals- screens, lights, lasers, fog. There are 4 large bars throughout the venue and a huge bathroom that is kept well cleaned. Love the dual level layout where you have the choice to be upstairs or downstairs, it's the 9:30 Club sized up.
Haven't had any complaints so far with my experience here, except maybe that rail drinks are on the pricey side, $10, but I guess that's expected in DC at a big club.
Raza Khan
Great venue size, plenty of restrooms to use. Lots of areas to dance away from main stage. Bars on both sides, no issue to get drinks. Second level for VIP areas have great views of the stage. Sound quality is amazing no matter your location
Denise Dang
Been going here for years and never disappoints. They always have the best djs booked and their sound system and lasers are unbeatable!
Justin Jones
An amazing concert venue for EDM shows! The staff was about average for this type of place. Security was great coming in somewhat lax once the show got going. Had a great time and the tickets were very reasonable. I'm definitely glad I had earplugs, up front was LOUD. (That for me was NOT a negative, just plan accordingly.)
Nicholas Caudill
Great sound system and lighting, they get some really good DJ’s to visit DC, the drink prices are super reasonable, and there’s even free street parking nearby
Nashé High
Awesome Venue!💯 Went to the National Cannabis Championship on 4/24/2022! …
Sierra McClure
First time coming to Echostage last night, it was overwhelming with the amount of people there at first and was worried because even though we are all getting vaccinated, the delta variant is still out. Once I had a couple of drinks, it was a vibe. Sad because I missed Wooli performing, but thankfully I still got to see Adventure Club, and even discovered I liked the group that played after them (forgot the name of the group, I had gotten drunk to ease my nerves a little lol). Overall a good experience, sucks there was no ac, but grateful to the security guards for giving me some free water bottles!
Yara M
Echostage is great! The staff are generally friendly and helpful. They take care of those attending the concerts with an attentive medical team, free water, etc. Having 4 bars (2 of them upstairs) really helps with crowd flow so you never have to wait too long for a drink. It does get a little hard to enjoy it when it is overpacked, but overall I love coming here. It feels like a second home! Their sound system and production is amazing.
Donald Delaney
Great artists come here and the time spent with family and friends is always a blast. A word of caution to the general population about some of the folks who tend to show up though - keep your personal belongings close and only bring what is necessary. I have personally had my phone stolen. I also wish the default would be for the bartenders to keep your tab open instead of closing out after every transaction.
Angela Yoder
Love this place. Its open until 3am. Sound system is great! Large bathrooms are a plus!
It does get very crowded fast.
Mike Wish
The only place in DC to see headline DJs. Everything is very efficient and organized. Drinks are pricey, but reasonable as far as venues go. Great sound and lighting.
Erin Gray
Saw Above&Beyond and Tinlicker here. Great show, one of the best I've been to. Not really a fan of clubs but this club has a warehouse feel to it. The drinks are steep, bathrooms are clean. Overall it's a great place to see your favorite DJ
Samir Popal
I used to never miss any Club Glow events back in college days. I thought it would be another major event but we were disappointed big time. There is no such thing as dress code or even dress to impress. They were letting people in who you'd think just got our of bed. Low standards ...very low standards only to attract more patrons... Inside the facility, it's nice. It's one huge room perfect for EDM. The club is in a pretty shoddy part of town. Highly overpriced. We paid 80 for new year event and it was the worst DJ and music. The staff are a combination of really friendly and nice especially the guys at the check out lane. The guys behind ticketing line were total jerks.
Andrew Bruckschen
Love this place. The talent they pull is great. the crowd is always great. The sound is fantastic. They take good care of their guest by making sure everyone is hydrated by giving out water. The parking situation isn't too bad. There are a few garages on the same street that open up and charge $20 a car and keep your car safe. The surrounding area is kinda sketchy though.
Mary Robinson
Always a great time!
Bobby Guill
Best club in DC by far. Atmosphere is amazing, sound system is incredible. Drinks are always good, if you like EDM definitely go here when in DC
Dan Gallagher
Saw Above & Beyond at Echostage a few months ago and it was a truly amazing experience. We took an uber here so we had no issues with parking. The line was rather small but we were early to get a good spot. I have been to many dance clubs and I felt they did a great job with the ambiance. It feels to me like I'm in a warehouse rave. The sound system is great but the visuals will blow you away. It was worth the drive from Boston!!
Jeran Gray
The stage has a great layout. The whole place has high ceilings so it feels very open. The bars are along the sides of the venue so it's easy to get drinks during the show. I had a great time.
Benjamin Zeitler
Has a blast. Good venue. Great bartenders. Many of the crowd not very PLUR but made it work. I would go back but you have to hold your own in the crowd. Just be ready to be super close to others when trying to dance.
Lucy M
Gonna start with cons then pros.
Cons:
Heat stroke central. I’ve been going to echo since it’s opening. Why they haven’t made changes to take care of their echofam by installing proper ac units and fans, I will never understand. It's definitely a buzz kill when ur trying to dance but are close to passing out due to extreme heat. Doesn’t help that you’re packed in there like sardines.
Security can be a little too extra here. The bathroom security check under and above the stalls pretty frequently, which is pretty invasive/borderline illegal. If they're genuinely concerned about one's well-being, knocking and having a key to unlock a stall is all it takes if one is unresponsive.
The crowd can be a hit or miss. Depends on the genre I guess.
Pros:
Amazinggggg DJs. The music and production are incredible!
Good, social people do exist amongst the echo crowd. And they do create a super fun environment! Just wish the bad souls could kick rocks.
Ryan Decamp
Echostage is a great place to visit because their staff is always so helpful and will go out of their way to ensure you have a good experience. Their EDM shows are amazing and the staff always go out of their way to ensure that nobody feels uncomfortable. The lighting setups are top-notch and cannot be beat! Their security is super chill and has always been nice. Their production staff is out of this world! Overall Echostage is a great place to spend a Friday night with 3500 friends.
Jolie Nguyen
Staff friendly and amazing night with Walkerverse last night🖤🌙🤙 …
Kyras Fort
Insane indoor club venue. Most events are 18+ but check event details to make sure. Also the loudest venue I have ever been to so I recommend earplugs.
Creepy-Smile-1 None
It's in a shady part of town but well lit and plenty of cops. Seriously good vibes, good music, and good people! Definitely going to try to comeback.
Liz Guevara
I had such a great night at Echostage. We went to see Gryffin and it was just amazing. They had multiple bartenders so I didn't have to wait long to get drinks. They also had a coat check that ran smoothly. Overall, the space and concert was amazing.
Christopher Din
Many many nights have been spent at echostage. There's a reason it's one of the best venues in the united states. They always manage to bring in top artist talent and over the years they put money back into the venue upgrading lasers, smoke machine, and sound system. Drinks are fairly priced. Expect to wait 30+ mins just to get inside if a big artist is in town. Protect your ears and bring some ear plugs!
Kylie Muse
I never had a bad time here, the vibe always depends on the artist or DJ. I go to shows all the time. The staff are friendly, I get a long with a lot of them. If you come regularly the bouncers will notice you and I formed relationships with them. Echostage is like home to me, I'm so glad I started going. I met amazing people, I found the love of my life there too, so there are so many good memories when Echostage comes to mind. I would highly recommend going.
Joel Alexander
Echostage is not a bad place by any means, but it is an extremely poorly placed concert venue. There is almost no parking, and where there is, it is the shadiest looking parking of all time. When we arrived the line was three blocks long and the doors had already been opened. However, once you get into the venue, you will have a good time. The staff was very friendly and genuinely wanted you to be safe. I would absolutely adore Echostage if it was placed in a different location.
Quintus Byrd
White Party Pride signature event. Loved it! DJs. The crowd. All those shades of black and brown in white. Great to see.
A M
Standing room concert/club that leans toward a rave for young kids. The women's bathrooms we done well with multiple entrances and plenty of stalls, tho not the cleanest. The balcony area is cool, and they are quick at bottle service if you pay for those spaces. The bartenders are also very responsive. Definitely a younger crowd, 18+ are allowed in. Parking is $20 anywhere nearby, so consider Uber, but have them pick you up on the corner. The people working there were actually nice and down to earth, that's hard to find.
Jamal Wonderful
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this venue. It is very large and multifaceted so it makes the experience more than one note and has plenty of room for large EDM style crowd. I went for a concert and for another fashion event and it was a great time.
This venue is beautiful, has more than 1 floor and sometimes they have access to an outside patio/ smoke area. The backstage accommodations are very suitable as well, it also has access to private rooms upstairs.
Anytime you come into this place though you are guaranteed a top of the line sound system, lighting, staging, and bartending.
They also have a small Valet parking lot (which I do think it should expand somehow, at some point) but there is also parking garages and street parking in the area. Best bet though, if you are close and can Uber to do so.
Asif Ahmed
Been there multiple times for concerts, and loved it everytime! The atmosphere is amazing! Their sound system will blow your head off, lol. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is, this place is 18+ and they sell alcohol inside, meaning I have seen a lot of under 21 people (with X on their hand) drinking alcohol. But other than that I love this place. Will go back again.
Nicolas Nuñez
Love the place! Excellent staff keeping everyone safe
Amber Fergusson
I went here for the first time to see Da Baby and it was quite an experience. glad I can say I've been here before but I won't be back. Although its a large space, the overcrowding of people during a concert was too much for me. Couldn't even enjoy the show with all of the pushing, shoving, and fighting going on. Its safe to say i have outgrown that kind of a crowd.
jared Sussman
This venue is so smartly designed. The bars run the length of the venue with bathrooms that are just as long. Due to the unique design you can get anywhere in minutes with ease. Great light and sound setup.
Brittney James
My boyfriend and I had a great time. Easy in, amazing show, but a tough time getting a ride out. Understandable considering the volume of people at this venue. Yellow Claw out did themselves and I am beyond happy we came all the way from Ohio.
connor
Consistently great music variety with a range of current and relevant house, future house, and general dance music. Very utilitarian feel though. Hard concrete floors will leave even the youngest visitors with sore knees and back, and never show up when doors open as sets and openers do not come out typically till 11-12 depending upon how many openers are there. Gotta play this one smart or you're in for a long night. Bring a back up credit / debit card as we've regularly had valid cards refused (due to being out of state per the bartenders? Despite making purchases in and around the DC area, and living within a reasonably commutable distance. Open late though, so yay DC
Derek Olsen
Venue has a great layout with a big main floor for General Admission with two long bars serving drinks on both sides and a balcony up top with tables. Bathrooms were both large and clean! Although the space is quite large, they appear to oversell the space. The show we went too was sold out and we were literally packed in so tight I was bumping into people on both sides every time I moved. Think twice if you have crowd-anxiety issues!
Eileen Young
Incredible venue. Polite staff. Always a good time.
Buddy Morris
Just do the table service, I'm not messing with that crowd
Aaron
Best place in the DC area to go to music shows. Yes the area around the place might feel a little sketchy, parking is expensive around the place, and the metro no longer runs past midnight so finding a ride home might be expensive if you did drink. But the shows themselves are a lot of fun, its a huge room and people gather and jump up and down. Its a good time with friends. I will mention that it is not fun waiting in line to get in when the weather is bad. Also, drinks are really expensive, but in the spur of the moment you might not mind dropping the money for the drinks :).
Sara Jones
Always 5 out of 5 and they hand out freeee water YAY!!!
Kelly Cojones
This club is great. The venue was good, had an upper level, outside area to smoke or get some air, and the staff was beyond great. I say this because I suddenly felt very faint and ended up falling. The staff assisted me to a first aid room. I have never seen one of these at a club. The first aid staff were very nice and gentle and offered me multiple cups of free orange juice and water. They also had cold wet towels. They offered small clean trash cans with clean bags for those who were throwing up. When you left the room the staff offered you a bottle of water with a plastic bag in case you have to barf on the way out. This first aid room also has a separate private exit so you can exit in a more quiet calm atmosphere. In other words, if you want to go to a club and get f***ed up, this club will provide a great venue with staff that will take care of you, hahaha.
Melanie Piotrowski
10/10 best venue I've been to. Went on New Years Eve. A lot of reviews on here had me nervous, but I went in with an open mind and was surprised to find a friendly crowd, respectful (but firm) staff, and awesome production quality. Water wasn't free, maybe because of NYE craziness, but I've seen worse. ALSO, BRING CASH IF YOU PLAN TO CHECK YOUR COAT. It's $5 each at time of writing. I had to dance in a parka because of this oversight. :(
Courtney Bossard
The bartender I had was great. She was friendly and polite. The security was very respectful when I was coming in and getting searched. The bathroom was huge and clean. At the bar I ordered drinks and shots for my crew. The drinks were great.
Oleksii Kuchanskyi
One of the best vibes you can get
Prabal Pandey
Place is one of the best for House Music concert. The parking situation is sort of a hassle if you do not get the two spots in front of the place and they range at about $40 bucks. The area is in a industrial park so it looks really shady. I would suggest booking parking online through Parking Panda ahead of the concert so you don't run into any issues. The headliners usually do not come out till after 11 PM even thought the doors open at 8. You will be waiting around for a while. The bar is over priced for what you get and the alcohol to mixer ratio is skewed. They will not let you in if you go in drunk. But you should go there to enjoy the music not to get drunk. There is a VIP section upstairs which seems cool have not been to it yet.
Chris Moschkin
This is one of the world's Premier EDM venues. It attracts the world's biggest EDM talent. And now it's owned by the world's biggest EDM Festival promotion company. Insomniac. It's easily one of my favorite places to see electronic music in the entire world, but they need more air conditioning.
Matt DiNuzzo
I enjoyed my concert experience at echostage. I am a huge fan of the 9:30 club and this is a larger venue.
The sound system was good and the atmosphere was great. Wish the rotation of artists was a little better but was overall pleased with the experience.
Heleen Raes
I've been to two concerts here and had a good experience. Security is friendly, drinks are not overpriced and the dancefloor is really big. The only thing that irritates me a little is that they cannot give accurate information about the timing of shows.
Christine Shen
Not my favorite venue. Super packed for slander and sound wasn't great. This is a big concert hall so be prepared for that. On the plus side, bar on the left side never had any wait, bartenders were very fast and friendly.
Savannah Sinclaire
Favorite place to see shows!. Very clean and organized. Security does not only take their job seriously but is fun and friendly. Great set up and good price drinks. No question why they're in top 5 venues!
darien flood
I absolutely love this venue! I've been twice for Above&Beyond and most recently for Armin Van Buuren. All 3 times were wonderful. Intimate setting with huge headliners ❤ Parking was a breeze each time!
Vee
Very large venue that's run quite nice. Employees are friendly, the VP lounge decent. Bottled water is given to crowd during shows. There's an outside smoking area away from party goers.

Echostage is hands down the best venue for EDM performances in the DMV area. I've attended more events this past year than I can remember and every event has always been an absolute blast. The production here at echostage is always fantastic and the people here are always super friendly. I was at the bar grabbing some water cups for my friends and I, when I happened to strike up a conversation with the gentleman standing next to me at the bar.. later on when we met again in the middle of the crowd he immediately recognized me and gave me a friendly greeting. I love the fact that my friends and I can come here to just have a good time after a long week of school/work.
Pro Tips: (That I learned from other friends who have been coming to Echostage for longer than I have)
- After the event is over exit to the left and at the bottom of the hill take a right and then walk forward you will very soon reach the 7-eleven and McDonalds. This is in my opinion the best place to call a ride/uber/lyft plus you can buy a snack while waiting for your ride.
- Echostage won't post an official set time until it is very close to (typically the night of the event) the event start time. But in my previous experience the main artist will typically come on after 12am (midnight) so if you are like myself and don't have enough energy to dance and party for 3+ hours you should arrive to echostage at around 11pm-12am in order to have the best time and not be too tired by the main artist.
- Don't wear shoes that you find uncomfortable. Trust me the inside of the venue is too dark to look at shoes anyway, so just wear something comfortable and easy to move in that way you'll be able to dance freely and you won't have to worry when somebody accidentally steps on your toes or spills their drink in the crowd.
- I would definitely make sure that your phone has plenty of battery before you leave the house because then you will definitely have enough battery to call a ride home afterwards.
- Most Importantly: just remember to have a good time and enjoy yourself! You aren't paying money to have a bad time and not be happy so don't care about what other people do/think just do whatever it is that you want to do. I dance like a mad man and some people definitely think that I'm crazy but I'm just doing what makes me happy and feel alive and to me that's all that matters.
Be Here Now.

I barely go now but I used to think of echo as my second home when I was younger. Mainly I think I just grew out of it because I work more and seen most of the artists that come by. The sound and lasers are amazing. They host really great shows but it can get crowded. I've learned to take a hand fan to cool down. They also host a variety of shows so it's welcoming for everybody
Edit: so I've been to a couple of clubs out in Florida, Vegas, Philly, and NYC yet, Echo is my favorite. I cant help but compare them to here. And it's both GA and table service. There is one in Tampa that has a similar layout but the sound and visual productions here is way better. Layout here is simple but you can get a clear view anywhere on bottom or top floor. Outside area is nice too to take a break. Hands down my favorite place to be

In this review I would really like to highlight the staff. I was at a private event and EVERYONE from bouncers, servers to the guys who are in charge of the VIP section, EVERYONE was especially collaborative, helpful, and sweet. If they don’t get enough recognition, they should! Thank you!
Michiel DH
The best place to go in Washington DC, maybe the place to go out in the entire country!
Lauren Hughes
Loved every show I’ve ever seen here. Great staff too!

I am a regular @ Echostage. I have been to the venue at least eight times in 2014. The venue has a world class lighting and sound system. It has a large open dance floor space. It has an abundance of bathrooms. The mezzanine space where tables are reserved is very impressive. If you drive to the club pay to park. If you park in the area around Echostage without paying there is a strong chance your car will be broken into. Overall I have had great times in the venue.
Brandon Hope
Excellent venue for any edm show. It's not terribly large so there's a much larger connection with the artist. The drinks are outrageously priced, but that's expected at any and every concert venue.
Vickey Branscome
Always a wonderful time here. From the music to the hardworking staff, Echostage is the best place to go for EDM in the DMV!
Christian Lauri
Everything with the venue is perfect. Sound is awesome. Lights are awesome. What I hate is the 18+ age thing. 21+ would be infinitely better since the 18-19 year old brofaggots who constantly have to move during the show gets so god damn annoying. Also $5 for a bottled water is kinda ridiculous, but you can get free water in a cup. Staff is really awesome though.
Lucien F
Great lighting and sound system. Networked POS systems (you can add drinks to your bar tab from any bartender in the venue). Crowd is always friendly and there to party. No dress code to worry about. VIP tables offer a good view of the stage and the crowd, as well as being separated from the general population for a real "VIP" feeling.
Nick R
I have been to Echostage 6 times and 6 times I have been more and more impressed than before! Every event there seems like it took months to prepare with how well the lights and lasers seamlessly come together. I can definitely see why Echostage is #1 in the US for DJ venues.
Erica Palmisano
Good venue with a great lights/production value for concerts. Good bar service and enough reasonable parking options nearby. Not accessible from Metro, so be prepared to drive or employ other transit options. Also, Ubering at the end of a show is chaos if you stay at the venue. Walk out toward the roads and order your car from there if possible.
ATC DuckFuke
My second home 🎶 Echostage has recently upgraded their production level to incredible heights. Their sound, lazers, as well as their incredible artist lineups are the reasons why I have visited this venue over 35+ times in the past four years.
No place I’d rather spend my night, always leave with a smile on my face.
Aushaud Gantt
Love Echostage. I always have a blast when I go there. The water is free and there's always an open urinal. My only qualm might be the lack of AC. They have it but it's not quite strong enough. Still an amazing venue. Go there soon!
Benjamin Garrett
Always a great venue! Staff got everyone in fast and the bartenders were moving at mach 5 to serve everyone. Drinks are pricy but what can ya do
Tim Cameron
Amazing venue. Everything about it is tailored towards an exciting experience. The upstairs balcony has couches and tables that you can sit at while enjoying bottles (yes, you have to buy bottles to sit there) of drinks.
Wills Rothschild
Incredible production and space, but very overpriced especially considering the sound. I'll keep it short and just say in regards to the sound..it's called Echostage for a reason. Would love to see more variety of music come through this venue rather than just steez and glow parties. With that being said, it's always fun for sure.
Allison Swift
The location is not very easy to get to via public transportation and paying for parking will run you $20-30.
That being said, the venue is much nicer than other similar music venues and the sound system is great. The cost of drinks is about average of other venues in DC.
Michael Wenrich
Saw Alan Walker and Sam Feldt it was amazing! Very large venue, drinks are pricey but that's too be expected. Staff was friendly and very quick to crack down on fights. Would very highly reccomend for any artist. Hands down best venue ive ever been too.
Tim Jacox
Excellent venue. Large open spaces and a balcony. Lots of beverage counters. And a banging sound system.
Kat Matty
Pros: Venue was clean, bartenders were nice
Cons: the GA section is over crowded, there is absolutely no where to sit or stretch without a line of people pushing into you
Overall it’s a nice venue, but if you’re going absolutely buy vip.

I had an amazing time at Echo Stage this weekend. I came out to see DVBBS and I drove all the way out from NJ, so I was extremely nervous about this location, but so worth the drive. It's not in the best part of D.C., kind of shady, but not the worst.. The lines to get in was organized and quick and the venue is spacious. The main reason why I enjoyed echo stage the most was how the stage was set up. I was able to make my way to the front row and I was able to interact with the artist because they were able to just walk down from the stage towards the crowd, so that really was a plus for me. Especially since most stages are set up in a way where artists can't come down and etc.
Towards the front the crowd was super pushy, but I was expecting that being that I was front row. Def. can not wait to come back here again!
Kate Melde
Had the best time at Echo Stage for Corona Electric Beach featuring Cheat Codes
Fabienne
The venue staff is exceptionally nice and helpful 👍🏻 …
Brianna Wilder
Great security and amazing bartenders. Always a great time !!
Justin Kydd
Multi leveled, easy to navigate layout and most importantly, free water at the bar. Not to mention the place pulls some of the biggest names through Glow. Parking is pricey and can be a hassle due to being beside another popular venue.
Matthew Thomas
Decently large venue with a lot of facilities to accommodate the number of people. Pretty hard to see the stage if you're not close to the front of either the first or second floor.
Sound is pretty good if you're on the first floor but not there great on the second floor. I try to stay away from echostage if possible. 9:30 club is much better sound-wise.
GREGORY TREPETIN
Echostage was and is the only Megaclub in DC area since Buzz closed down. With that you expect to see world class DJ's and spectacular ever-evolving light show. That is Saturdays. The rest of the so called "shows" that take place on some other nights is not what this place is all about and only there to bring some more revenues for the place.
Sound system is good, but only at it's sweet spot which is in the middle toward the back of the room. The rest is not calibrated to feel the base. So if you into holding the DJ booth's metal railing, you will not hear base that well or feel music. If you don't know what I just said, don't worry about it as your ears would not know the difference.
Drinks are insanely expensive. In May of 2019 vodka shots were $14 and red bull vodka $24.
Crowd is polite as very common for EDM, trance and house shows. If you going for some other show there ignore my last statement.
Place has lost it's popularity among 25-40 year old crowd, but unfortunately they are what brings money to the club. So you get younger crowd which pregames and drinks water. Again music dictates the crowd and so you may find different age group if music is more along house or trance vs anything goes EDM style. But if some basketball player, former model or actor from comedy show in NJ decides that they are also DJ's now, then expect similar level aficionados of music to be present.
Lucas B
Great fun to go with friends. The place plays lots of eletronic music and can get really loud so I recommend some ear protection, specially if you go more than once. For 18+ or 21+ depending on the type of show. Highly recommend if you are near DC. Check the website to see who is playing on what days.
Trent Blackburn
The shows here are always great but everything from the drinks to the tickets are pretty expensive. Getting there from the Metro is a pain since it's over 2 miles to the nearest stop although they do have a shuttle. I suggest bringing cash since they hold your credit card and ID if you'd like to start a tab at the bar. Also don't make the mistake of leaving the club without closing your tab because you'll be stuck trying to talk your way back in to no avail.
Se-Gil Feldsott (Louis)
DJs are great. Sound system and light shows are really cool! However... This place is always very crowded, especially for any big names. Parking was $40 (we may have accidentally parked in the most expensive lot). You can no longer hail an Uber or Lyft in front in the venue. You have to walk down to the end of the street to meet your ride.
Fatmata Kargbo
This review should have been one star because of thier customer service. The girls in the front are very rude and disrespectful when speaking to customers. I only gave them three stars because of the ladies at the bar. We were upstairs and the girl that was at the bar was very nice, and patient with customers. She smiled and was very welcoming.
Tiffany Ann
me and my husband went to Echostage to see Above & Beyond this past weekend. As much as we love Above & Beyond, the crowd and the atmosphere here at Echostage was just a bit much. I do have to say there was a ton of security around but the amount of disfunction we saw was just crazy. Several people being pulled into the First Aid room that where beyond obliterated I do understand this isn't the venue's fault but ti didn't seem as though they do anything to screen people coming into the show. Expect a full on rave when you go here. It will be packed with people as many as they can fit. Don't expect the headliners to go on before 12am. A&B took the stage at 1am.
Kayla Hardy
Oh man. The show was off the hook. Bartenders are awesome, beautiful buildings. Bathroom was clean and even being spot cleaned while i was using it. Lines go quickly, fast service and a good crowd.
LU JO
Greatest Staff, Greatest Experience in DC for a concert venue, Security is on point and fair, I have been to almost every show here and have not been offered any drugs or been over intoxicated. Cindy Berberich seems like she hangs out with the wrong people because I've been to almost every show is different because of the different promotions team hosting the event that night. Bring your dancing shoes.
Francisco Vargas
I have been going to Echostage since 2015 and I can attest as to why they are rated the #1 EDM Venue in the country.
I have read mixed reviews regarding the staff and security and let me tell you that if you had a problem with security, there’s a 99.9% chance that you were probably too drunk. This venue hosts thousands of people every night and the entire staff is always on point.
Sure it can get crowded but so do any of the other too EDM Venues in the world (Bootshaus, Hollywood Paladium, Green Valley, etc). The VIP area is large and the service is top notch.
In addition, every year, Echostage brings the top DJs/Producers in the world: Armin Van Buuren, Carl Cox, Seven Lions, Excision, Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike, you name it ... from the legends in the game to the up and coming talent.
In short, I guarantee you won’t regret coming to Echostage. Best place to be!!!
Victor Panza
Fun venue. Great sound and great lights, an overall good show every time I go. The only things that bothered me were the fact that people are not allowed to use their gloves or any sort of lights and also the fact that some of the employees outside of the smoking area looked very cold (especially with all the wind). I have been to this venue a few times during winter and the security outside always looks very uncomfortable. The least you guys could do would be to get some sort of small heater for these guys. You clearly have enough money to afford a heater. I just really do not like a company that doesn't take care of their employees.
Josy Wilkins
In truth I don't go to a lot of events simply because they are at Echostage. Positives- plenty of bathrooms (NYC warehouses take notes!!) . Bars are pretty accessible. But I like the European model where every venue should have a spot to sit for a moment. A girl might just need a break in heels and you shouldn't have to only buy VIP to do it. I like how Mansion in MIA does it. They have a few round couches. It would be nice to have the back row in the top middle open to the public or at least the walk way to get from one side to the other. Its kinda a pain that I can't see my other friends in other VIP sections. Sometimes we aren't fortunate enough to have tables all together but part of the joy of coming out and spending that much money is seeing your friends.. Shouldnt be so hard. Of course my favourite large venue stateside.. Crobar Miami & Avalon NYC so.. I'm a tough crowd.
Nicole Coleman
Amazing sound and light show!
Jason Newton
Had the pleasure of seeing Armin Van Buuren and visiting Echostage for the first time. I'm an older EDM fan (46) and didn't feel out of place at all. The drinks were appropriately priced for the DC area. The club had ample security and everyone on the staff was friendly. The club itself is pretty large in comparison to some of the other indoor venues I've been in in the past. Great sound system and overall a really enjoyable evening. We took a cab to Echostage, so parking wasn't an issue. Restored my faith that one can be an older EDM fan and not feel terribly out of place among a gaggle of youngsters.
Bryan Nikla
Excellent sound and lighting. Lots of bar space and quick service. Very large open dance floor.
Quinn M
A too packed, the visual production equipment seems a little dated compared to other venues. Won't avoid echo, but I definitely am happy to see other places as the location my artists choose.
John Kelly
Easily my favorite club. VIP isn't in the way of the dance floor, tickets are reasonable, the dance floor is huge, and the drinks aren't too pricey (for a club). Lighting and sound systems are great.
The123ty
Went for the first time over LDW and it was great. Echostage it self is a great club with helpful security who were passing out waters to all of the ravers. It nice and air conditioned so even when it gets hot there is always a nice breeze. The area around echostage is a bit sketchy but make sure you have someone by your side. Will definitely go back to another show
Emily Hardy
Had a blast last night at echostage. Sullivan King was such an awesome show.
Yingyang Wolf
Been coming here since this venue first opened. They always getting amazing acts. Place can be way overcrowded at times and sometimes the staff can be rude but overall this is a great venue!
Kyle de La Viez
It's a great venue with good shows always happening. The only issues I've had over the last 6 years has been overcrowding for big shows and security starts more fights than they break up.
Prasad Patwardhan
Great venue with awesome lighting. Bathrooms were surprisingly not that dirty atleast when I went there. The venue is awesome, but the surrounding area is a bit shady so beware. Drinks are also very expensive usually.
Joshua Versoza
Been on an EDM kick for the past 1.5-2 years... I dabbled with some trance in high school, and I've always had tracks scattered throughout my workout playlists, but I'm pretty much a newbie to the stuff. That means no raves (or any of the associated naughtier aspects to "enjoying the music") for yours truly all throughout the fun years; Saturday, 3/26/16, marked the first EDM rave I'd ever been to. The road to the Echostage was all a relatively impromptu affair.
My brother has been quite the EDM fan for the past few years, with his musical tastes pretty much influencing mine for the past couple cycles. So when I visited him on his bday a couple weeks back, he exclaimed "KSHMR and Tiësto are playing at Echostage, I'd totally wanna hit see them." Seeing as how I could kill three birds with one stone (with the purchasing of tickets for his bday, as well as attending a rave for the first time ever, and ultimately using this experience as a "practice session" prior to hitting up EDC Las Vegas later this year), I jumped at the opportunity.
So, perhaps I'm not the most qualified person to speak as music venues where one could enjoy shows such as these, but I had a blast here. We arrived relatively early at 10 (doors opened at 9, with bro and friend wanting to get there early so we could have a good spot for the opening act). Place was barely half full when we got in, so we were able to snake our way just a few paces from front and center. Good call on that, as the place was pretty much as packed as a sardine can just a half hour later.
However, I was able to observe the place prior to "packed-to-the-gills" status, and I was definitely a fan of the set up. Big room, with bars to the left and the right, with VIP balconies (I would assume) on top of those. Pretty sexy if you ask me. And a tall boy Heineken running about $7 ain't a bad deal (maybe those NYC prices just made me callous to drink pricing). Huge speaker towers to the left and right of the stage (and speakers scattered everywhere else I'm sure) made for some booming (but not deafening) noise; definitely some world class sound quality on those.
But that's pretty much all I can speak to about the venue (aside from "sketchy neighborhood" that's mentioned in most of the reviews for this spot. Other than that, the music, the light show, and the crowd will pretty much make (or break) your night here. Since Tiësto was here for the time that I'm writing about, the crowd was a bit douche-y, with my one friend (who ain't a newbie to these kind of things) saying that it may have been the "douchy-est, most ratchet crowd" he's dealt with (to be honest, I expected a lot of contact, especially since we were near the front, but apparently it was "particularly bad" on my first time). My philosophy was to roll with the blows, and throw back an elbow/push back just so they'd know that the our group of three deep was not one to be pushed around. The music (especially from KSHMR) and the light shows were pretty phenomenal though, so it was easy to get hyped with the rest of the crowd despite receiving such a high rate of contact.
I had a great time here, def makes me excited for my next show (here or elsewhere).
Tim Edwards
Went to go see Slander and it was my favorite EDM experience ever! Made a lot of new friends, introduced an old friend to the scene, and made memories. A couple even got engaged there during the show! I definitely wont forget it.
Big Mick
What an experience. Couldn't have have had a better time
Wendy
Awesome staff, great restroom situation (complete with speakers in there so you don't miss a beat), & an even MORE amazing sound system (unless that was simply due to the Lord himself--Eric Prydz-- who played there the night I was here)!
Brian Johnson
Love it here! Def does get crammed and for some shows there's a contingent of sweaty bros who keep their shirts off but for the most part it's great. Had to break up some dude basically trying to latch his face onto an unwilling girl one time and have seen dangerously intoxicated ppl every time I've been here, normal club stuff. People here def party with every substance known to man and you may have some weird convos. It's a great environment though and you will have a blast if you like to dance!
Donovan McKenzie
I went to see Twenty One Pilots (for the 3rd time) at Echostage on September 8th for the Blurryface tour. The concert was amazing, but the environment was very, very sketchy. It's in the middle of probably one of the fewest spots that people venture through DC. (AKA, it was a warehouse area.) The staff was seemed cool. As we were waiting in line 4 hours before the doors opened, they were giving out free water this day, because the heat outside was un-Godly. Although, once we got inside the venue, the AC was on very low. They barely turned in up for the capacity of the people in the venue. (4,000 people). Also, once the opening act, Finish Ticket, jumped on stage, everyone was pushing their way toward the stage, which I expected, but I also expected for security to take care of the matter or at least alert the artist of what was going on. People were getting crushed, some started to faint, and I could have sworn multiple fights were about to break out because of the pushing and security was just standing there. (But they jumped in the crowd and almost elbowed my head trying to escort some kid out for using a Go Pro...) All and all, I enjoyed my time there. I saw one of my favorite bands play and learned a new technique on avoiding crazy crowds, but I would not suggest someone to go see a concert here. You can tell this place was made, specifically, for an EDM concert or late night shows, or Dubstep shows, shows like those, but if you wanna catch a band like Twenty One Pilots or anything else like that, trying catching them at another venue.
WittyBoi
Such an amazing venue for larger crowd! It definitely did work for Teddy Afro concert! Loved the vip and the security in there! Thanks guys we had a wonderful experience!
Grinch Slayer
Went to see DaDa life on may 12th, 2018. Parking price has gone up since the last time I went for a show. Your better off parking on the street. There was a price issue for tickets in advance. The website said tickets would be $30 bucks online, $35 at the door. That is wrong. Online prices range from $30-40, $40 bucks at the door. Water is $5 bucks per 12 oz. Bottle. This will be my last time going to echostage. Love the venue, but it cost too much for parking, tickets, drinks inside. It all adds up.
Hp Bb
Physically the venue is really good. Very large dance area where you can position yourself to your liking - work your way up front if you like the being-packed-in-like-sardines front row concert experience, or stay in the offskirts to the sides or back if you prefer more air and room to dance. Smoking area out back is okay I guess, although def not fancy, just a gated-in area of the back lot basically, with no seating. Second level has tables and nice seating if youre the type of douchebag that gets table service.
Worst thing - as many have already stated - is the location. I wouldn't walk there alone for sure. I'm always with one or two buddies at these shows and we usually take the risk and park in the ghetto blocks surrounding the club. Been there probably 4 times with no problems yet, but I always have a nervous feeling in the back of my mind. Your other alternatives are paying for parking, which is just a ripoff and you get crammed into whatever little crevice they can find to put cars - I really dont think many of the parking 'areas' were intended to hold cars lol. Of course you could take metro, but I think the nearest stop is like 12-15 blocks away...
Drinks are crazy expensive - no surprise there - but it'd be nice if they'd do some before-midnight specials or something like other places do...
Overall this place is ok I guess. Physically very good venue but hampered by horrible location and, Im sad to say, a general vibe of greed going on, particularly with parking, drinks and the ticket prices
Ste.Jos. Calamia
Epic venue. One star off for pointing lasers in patrons' eyes as standard practice, but somehow that's legal. Amazing what regulations money can buy. Also amazing what a stage money can buy! An experience, for sure. Wear sunglasses...Inside. The lasers are real
Anna Bondy
I have been here for dozens of shows over the past few years. I always park in the neighborhood beyond the bridge opposite of Bladensburg road, and have never had any problems. I would recommend getting to the venue a bit early, like 10:30 or 11 pm, so you can see the warm up acts and enjoy the people watching. By 12 or 12:30 the front area is normally packed and it is more difficult to get close. They have had some really great DJs there. I've seen Tiesto, Chainsmokers, Above & Beyond (3 times) Wolfgang Gartner, Thomas Gold, Galantis (twice), Benny Benassi, and many more. A must go for EDM lovers.
Peter
One of the best venues in the DMV. Parking is pretty pricey depending on when you get there ($20-40).
Sold out shows can be pretty cramped.
Free water at the rail and there's a smoking area out back.
Rick M
It's rated the top club in the US this year and pretty much lives up to the hype. I'm looking forward to the next DJ set I can catch.
Jakob Dunbar
Great show: Don Dolla Sunny Fedora enjoyed it. Security could use training and communication improvements but I had a blast.
Zach Dixon
I spend way too many nights of my life here but everyone of them is awesome. Great club.
GET Improvements
Busy area for Ride share drivers during the weekend
NIKHIL ANJIKAR
Really good atmosphere. Been here twice for t tiesto and David guetta concerts. Both were amazing experiences. Decently managed. Would def go back for a diff show. Parking can be painful. But you can plan ahead by using parking panda app for the closest cheapest parking.
Jessica Ruperto
Inside it was great but the area outside is a little scary
David Mannes
I went here with a group of friends to see Alan Walker and KSHMR and we were not disappointed. The venue is a ton of fun and tickets for big name DJs are surprisingly inexpensive. The lighting and sound systems are pretty incredible and make Echostage one of the best venues in DC from my experience. The only knock on this place is that there is no Metro train that runs there and ubers across town (especially after the concert) can run you $30+. But regardless, I will definitely return in the future.
Joseph Zerafa
Great place for a concert. Expect $20-30 in parking to be typical. Parking is valet(for the most part) and very close by. Got offered drugs too, so if you are looking for some fun its available
Jesse (Jeltown)
Probably the best DJ, music, dance, EDM, club in the USA and one of the best in the world. All the top DJ's come here or have in the past. The lights are excellent. The bouncers are not rude as they are at so many other places. Of course the drinks are way over priced but that's why you pregame. Make sure to Uber to get a room in one of the nearby hotels!
Silviu Burz
Great experience. Will be back frequently
Phillip Covington
Great experience, I saw Griselda with some friends and it was one of the best nights of my life
James Clift
Free earplugs if you go to the EMT room
Will Shealy
It would be an 5 star venue if they started using lasers again. Without lasers and the roof tiles it's just another venue.
Mitchell Buchler
I go here a lot. Its probably my favorite club for the size. They do some cool stuff like put on free shows. Staff has always been very nice to me (EXCEPT THE BAR STAFF: They are very rude and actually say things like "the least you could do is tip" right after I tipped the girl).
Parking is okay. The valet is kinda expensive. Watch out of the guys trying to flag you in. I usually park down the end of the street right infront the club. Its like $11 on parking panda. Usually pretty safe. Once a crazy small white guy tried to bum my friends vape and wouldnt leave us alone. We just drove away. We told parking staff and they seemed to indicate it wasnt worth them getting involved. Heard.
rebeca batista
The best place with the best DJs
Jake Burgess
Amazing venue. Even on a sold out night there was virtually no line to get in, tons of room inside, friendly staff, and quick (but expensive) bar service. Just remember to bring some earplugs!
Margaret Shrager
They frisk you upon entry-- my wife is trans and was frisked by a man. So there's that. Also, the floor is ridiculously sticky, so I would wear shoes you're not especially attached to. That said, the shows themselves are good!
Adam Carswell
DC’s best indoor venue by far. Cutting edge light production and great sound. Excellent staff. Always exceptional service from Ben, Jovan, Joe, Kenyon, Vahid, Honey, Olivia, and so many others. Last weekend in particular, Nick did a killer job keeping the individuals at my table safe along with about 10 other tables at the same time. It was as if we had our own personal body guard. Keep up the hustle Echostage, I’ll see you guys next time!
Karen Healer
Great concert venue that brings world-class talent. Excellent sound and light systems. Even post-pandemic, they continue to bring great shows.
Harin Chhadva
Drinks are overly expensive and the music system is not up to the par with the kind of things they host. It’s also in a shady location.
Aroyia Jones
I love that they always have good shows here and a welcoming crowd. I do wish the people who went to shows and stuff wouldn't throw their trash on the ground. But that's just people. Can't wait to go back!
Steven Goodman
It’s phenomenal they host my favorite DJs, phenomenal bartenders, drinks are on fleek, security keeps you safe in every aspect, Echostage is my go-to-club with regard to every great show and good time.
Ryan Flickinger
Great concerts here, haven't been to one I didn't like. However, it's not for everyone, there are lots of drugs, and tons of people are intoxicated. Otherwise, fantastic venue.
Andrew Wood
Incredible venue... a friend and I came here to see Diplo in early 2019 and were very impressed with the venue, staff and acoustics. The staff was so professional and the crowd management was smooth and efficient throughout.
Adam Wampler
I've only been a couple of times. First time our show was cancelled. Honored our tickets for the reschedule, but could have communicated with us better in between the two dates.

Best large scale dance club in DC. Don't come here for boujois and stiff people standing by velvet-roped tables; come for the soundsystem, the improving interior (still being renovated, hear it will be completed in 2013) and the fact that you'll get real wild, rather sweaty and have a heck of a time here. For the atmosphere alone and the desire to not over-charge every patron this place earns high marks for quality.
Parking is available in a few garages across the street, ~30$ to park so I'd suggest carpooling. For the large events they'll shuttle a bus from the nearest metro. Cabs can be flagged down at the gas station/checkers down the road from the venue. Multiple motels within a 1 mile radius. Too long of a walk to take public transport alone if that is how you're coming to party.
A welcome addition to the scene. 4$ water, 8$ beers in large cans. No earplugs sold, so bring your own.

Good time great shows.

Great venue! A lot of space and they have employees walking around crowd to ensure safety. CLEAN and plenty of Restrooms. Everyone was super friendly and fast when it came to service.
Andrew Coutts
DC has a great music scene and this is one of the best venues I've ever been to. It's setup to navigate easily and never feels too overcrowded with bars well-staffed.

Cool venue: large main dance floor with bars running along both sides, has a 2nd level VIP sort of thing
Has coat check (~$5 for the show I went to, tip: take pic of your coat claim ticket)
Alcohol on the expensive side (don't remember specifics but was music concert prices)
Plan your departure ahead of time since end-of-night crowd congests traffic and surges ride-hail prices
Stay hydrated, remember ear protection, have fun & get wild~

One of the premier EDM concert venues in the United States. Great ticket prices for the biggest acts and artists in the business. If you live in the DMV this is a must-see entertainment location.
Jay Mack
An amazing show and a great venue

Probably the place int the quietest environment around in DC or NYC, but once you step your foot on the floor the atmosphere changes into an amazing ball of energy that brings all people together in the electric way that's just making you want to dance all night long, all night. Hahaha...Will come back soon maybe, I do recon this place anyone with a good spirit

One of the best sounding and clean stages on the East coast. Up there with the Anthem and 9:30 club.
Thomas Jones
Been coming here for a number of years, now. Seems like, as transportation options have improved (thanks Uber/Lyft) so has the crowds and the acts. Now a really great space to see EDM acts.

They kicked you out if find you violates any rules . Other than that prices acceptable audio is exelent. Security is the most.
Ali Shahegh
Good security, good selection of drinks, good acoustics. Only reason it's not 5-star is the concert I went to the mics were too loud so I couldn't actually understand half of the music.
Anel Mojica
Always a great time here and they consistently bring the best in EDM. Great stage production as well.
Morgan D
Received an email that there would be coat check. Show up and no coat check available. What venue doesn't have a coat check in the middle of winter?
Arius
Went to a concert here, it was great
Joya
Seats are needed on the floor so everyone can see or need monitors that show the stage.
Luke Salazar
A great intimate venue with great music, bar and pricing. It is a great stage with great sound and music choice.
Ben Eichler
Drinks are a little more than I hoped to spend, but the venue is huge and very friendly staff. Plus the studio is mixed by a sound engineer, probably the best club audio I've ever heard.
John Bracaglia
Echostage is the most awesome place to see an EDM show. There's a reason why it is considered one of the top 3 clubs in the United States.
Honestly, it is better than you expect. Ridiculously fun.

Sunday Worship at National Community Church. I enjoyed the worship music and the Pastor's message "Yes & Amen" was encouraging. When "So far so God (good) meets "The best is yet to come" Great message. All of God's promises are Yes & Amen!
BLOCK B2B (TRILL_RRR)
One of the best venues for EDM Concerts. I Always have a blast every time I go. Arrive early, Entrance line usually out the front door.

Love echo stage. Great accessible service. Free water. Reasonable drinks and the best shows
Murray Penner
Had a great time! Awesome venue.
Deanna
Too crowded, no re-entry, getting an uber after a weekend show is impossible. But artists are good, water is free, and bathrooms are pretty clean.
