The installation was just what I ordered, took as long as was projected and it looks and works like a dream. My installer left the space clean and better than he found it - with the new equipment! My garage door was very worn and needed to be replaced. I reached out to several vendors and because of the professionalism right from the first estimate meeting I chose D&L. My trust was NOT misplaced. They were here with a new door within three days of my acceptance of the estimate. they arrived when they said they would. Had the new door installed within about four hours and everything looked good and worked good, and the old door was hauled away; no mess no worry. I am very happier with the entire process.

Quality work, friendly and knowledgeable techs who work quickly and left the space clean when done, and who also went above and beyond in dealing with some hassles due to the way our garage door was originally installed. Both Vlad (who did the original work which included new opener, new torsion spring, etc.) and Guy (who came today to install a top bar as Vlad had noted that our garage door was becoming damaged due to the way it was originally installed) were great and did excellent work. Very happy with the end result, and whole thing is now so much quieter than our previous chain-drive opener.

Just got my garage door spring replaced today, service and tech was nice but he moved the bracket of the spring back and it's not bolted into the stud, bottom screw is all drywall and its not holding already popping out, hope the upper screw holds on. I was in luck D&L was able to send a technician out the same afternoon I called. Anthony was the tech sent out to help replace my old 17 year old Genie with a super sweet and silent Garage Opener the Linear LDC0800. Anthony did a great job getting the old hunk a junk out of my garage, and putting in the new unit. I was really happy with the customer service and expertise from my initial call to install. I called up D and L Garage Doors mid morning to see about scheduling some repairs. It appeared to have a broken spring and the door would no longer raise. To my surprise they were able to schedule a Tech later in the day between 11 and 3 with the tech calling ahead at least 30 minutes to give notice of arrival. Dan, the service tech contacted me a little later in the day and notified me when he would arrive and did. He inspected the garage door indicating no other significant issues beyond the broken spring that needed to be fixed he suggest swapping out rollers for nylon for a smoother and reduced friction motion I did decline. Hey gave me the estimate for remaining services and was able to make the repairs at that time in about an hour. Was very friendly and efficient.

The technician, Sean, called to let me know his estimated arrival time. He arrived on time and clearly laid out pricing and options. The service fee was $169! They really should list this on the website somewhere! I opted to replace the entire unit as Sean told me the model we were using has had lots of problems. Overall, I would say I'm satisfied with this company. Initially I was not. Following the replacement of my garage door springs and pulleys, I found that the installer had left a hole in the side of my garage when he installed the rod, and didn't mention it to me, nor fix it. The door to my garage was also 1/2 inch off so it wasn't touching the ground. I called them back to have it repaired (and the wall) and I found out I had to use the same installer because they contract out. I was told he would be there between 11:30-noon, he ended up showing up at 4:30 pm. They did make good on my concern and fixed the door and the hole in the wall. I also was confused on how the 3rd party installers "quote". It cost me $600 to fix two springs and one pulley. Seemed a bit steep and there was no rhyme or reason to how he got the figures, he just scribbled it down on the paper and handed it to me. As a single mom, that was a tough bill to swallow but I needed it fixed.

I was having some problems with my garage door opening and closing, and a loose chain hiting and dragging along the rails. I check the Internet for a local garage door repair shop and found D&L Garage Door. They had a great website that was easy to follow, and giving seniors and military discounts. I called them and set up an appointment for Friday, to my surprise they called me the next day and came one day earlier than scheduled. Eric, the garage door technician went down a checklist examining my garage door and it’s operation. When he was done, the service tech made several recommendations to solve the problem. I went with his recommendations to installed a stronger motor with more HP, to replace the previous motor designed for a one car garage. When he finished installing the moter with more HP the garage door closed and opened with ease and was very quiet.. Great customer orientation from the person who took our call and the repair technicians. The cable on one side of our garage door busted without warning on Saturday so I went online to find a local company that could come out for repair. I found D & L and called and a courteous person answered, listened to my problem, took my address (we live in Sherwood) to check for availability and told me a technician could come out that day and would be calling me with a time. Within 30 minutes, or less Hayden called and said he’d be at our home in about 40 minutes. He arrived and assessed that our cable had busted but wasn’t able to repair it because he didn’t have the right cable for our door. Ours is not a common cable (of course). He felt really bad that he was not able to make the repair and got us scheduled for someone to come out on Monday then made sure our door was shut all the way and secure before he left. A+ for Hayden! On Monday Anthony came to our home and was able to make the repair in less than 30 minutes. He replaced both sides of the doors cables and lubed everything up, cleaned up his work then noticed our garage door opener motor was hanging loose and added a missing bolt and tightened it all up for us! The technician, Dan, called around 10:45 to say he was on his way from Portland (we're in Salem). My tech was Richard or Richie and he showed up as promised, very quickly. My issue was that I had a padlock jammed on a wooden gate which was my only access to getting hay to my goats. He showed concern for their well-being as well as their safety since they were very curious and had noses right in the way of him cutting metal. We managed to draw them away from the gate long enough to get them out of harm's way. Richard was so courteous and showed concern for not only my goats being safe but also for not damaging my fence. Had to call another company (Omni Garage Door) to get the door working since the tech had no idea why the door wouldn't work after spring installation and simply left. All three of the garage doors in our 'new' home needed replacing: dry rot, ground settling and age had taken its toll. Two of the openers lacked modern safety features and the over-sized door didn't even have an opener. Try opening a 10' tall door without one. Mike and Eric (didn't catch the name of the apprentice) did an excellent job installing the new doors and operators. The doors are level, the rails perfectly aligned and the operators are the quietest I've ever heard. They really wanted to show me all the tricks the apps could do, but my flip phone doesn't support the app. Don't really need it.

I would have liked for them to have worked a bit cleaner. I had to throw some of the old parts away if I'm being critical but they worked quickly and were in and out. All in all I would recommend shopping around and calling this place last. Know what you need and the costs from all the other shops because if they aren't busy I get the feeling they want the work for less margin on their end. At the end of the day fixing a garage door is the same regardless of which company comes out.

These guys are complete professionals. I brought in keys for my Honda insight, not the easiest key to duplicate. They got them cut and programmed, which had to be done with some configuration as Honda uses chipped keys not only to gain entry to the vehicle, but to even start the vehicle. If the car does not recognize the key, no go. Vlad is their top guy and was super courteous, I knew it was going to all go well when his first words were "no problem!" The price was right for the difficulty level of the Honda security key, I will use this company again and refer them to my friends.

I had a seized deadbolt that I couldn't figure out. I disassembled the lock, and took it in to Portland Doors and Locks Guy. He immediately figured out the problem (discontinued lock model prone to failure). It called for a new cylinder and a rekey job so that the old keys would still work - no sweat. They fixed my lock (and added a couple of security pins for me to improve pick resistance) and had me out the door in a matter of minutes. Solid service, solid pricing, I would recommend them for household lock repair.
