Reviews of Stifel Theatre
First time at the Stifel for the Iliza Back in Action tour and it was a lovely experience! We had front row VIP tickets and got to meet her after the show. All of the staff were incredibly accommodating and so helpful! The facilities were all kept clean and well taken care of
Beautiful venue. My seats were front right mezzanine ( row E ) and it was a close enough distance to the stage for the cost. I wouldnt have wanted to be back farther. There are a lot of small concessions built in to each level.
We loved photographing Beth and Nolan wedding here! Stifel Theatre is a stunning and unique venue that is perfect for a wedding! Located in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Stifel timeless style is a true architectural masterpiece.
My lady and I went to see Shen Yun, a Chinese acrobatic dance presentation. The show was fantastic. Photography of the performance was not allowed. But it was so vivid it will stay with you. If the chance to see it occurs, I advise you to take it.
Stifle Theatre itself was very impressive. It was our first time there. The interior was very classy. The staff we very helpful and polite. It all made for a pleasant experience.
Interpol and Spoon put on a great show at Stifel. Always a good time at this venue. Good sound and atmosphere. And the band that played first- Water From Your Eyes- was a wonderful surprise.
The concert was wonderful Each act was given enough time to perform their best songs. The Whispers should have been allowed time to sing one more song.
On the negative side, the sound system could have been better. The restrooms were not on the main floor. Not good for handicap people.
The stage hands did not have masks on! They disinfected the microphones only one time after the first act!
The St. Louis Blues were in town also which means traffic was awful.
The performers were excellent.
This theatre is absolutely beautiful. We went to see Bert Kreisher. Getting through the security check went quickly and easily. The inside of the theatre is stunning with all the detail. The only downfall was that the only bathroom was on the main floor which meant having to walk downstairs to use the restroom.
We've photographed weddings here for over 13 years and have always loved working with the staff. Not to mention that it's one of the most unique spaces for a wedding in St Louis!
Theater is nice. Parking isn't great if it's raining because you are either parking on the street or in the garage attached to the Scott trade and then you still have to walk outside to get in. But if the weather is nice it would be a close area to park. I haven't been to many events in. Long time and forgot to leave my Leatherman at home and had to go back to the car. But I guess that's on me. The mezzanine level is steep but that gives everyone a nice view
Really beautiful theater. My mother saw Elvis Presley here in 1957 and I recently saw Alice Cooper for the second time here. Even those old dudes from The Muppet Show were there!
Brian Regan concert was awesome. Seating is very very tight . If your over 6foot you will have your knees jammed into seat in front of you. Very uncomfortable. I ended up going down and standing by the wall.
Haunted. This place is haunted, by a young lady. Seating is very comfortable. The lounges are a nice perk to add with your ticket if you can as they offer food and beverages before and during intermission.
1st time here - attended David Sedaris show. Beautifully ornate old building. Great acoustics. Just a really cool building.
Amazing Theater, went to see Jo Koy here, very historical and well preserved! The staff was amazing, especially the ushers.
Beautiful place but parking is an absolute nightmare if any other event is going on downtown. Keep an eye out for street parking! The theater was quick to get through security and found our seats easy enough. My true issue is the lack of accountability with patrons, people getting up, talking and using phone flash lights like its a dark Applebees. I really expected more from staff to limit this, because it does ruin a great experience. I don’t understand why the concessions were even open during show. The seats on the front of the balcony are tight with leg room. Great audio though.
My Friend for over 55 years Marsha, invited us to join her at the Magic House Ball! It was wonderful!!!
Such a wonderful venue. Great experience for the Harry Connick Jr Christmas show. Definitely will be returning again and again for future events!
Great place to see a performance; great sound, great atmosphere and there's not a bad seat in the theater because of the layout and size. I've seen two bands play at Stifel and the sound was great. I've also seen a comedian perform here, and again, great sound and great view from the entire theater. I hope more acts come to the Stifel Theatre because it's a great place to see a smaller, non-arena size, show!
Tonight was my first time here and it was amazing. The food was delicious I got in line 4+ times. The Bartender Mandy was amazing. She was so sweet and made my drinks perfectly. I absolutely love her vibe. Steve was also great. He kept my boyfriend occupied in conversation which was great. Last but not least Michael. He was at the door to let us in and as we left m he was so pleasant. Thank you so so much for such an amazing experience!! 10 stars!!!
I was there for a private wedding and reception. It was very well staffed and the staff were top of the line! Beautiful venue!
Awesome small venue! Staff were friendly and helpful. Really great sound here!
Beautiful setting, very picturesque.
Poorly organized queues
Nobody even scanned our tickets because people were just funneling in.
Every staff we interacted with were very kind and courteous.
Overall a good venue.
Seating made the stage viewable from every vantage point.
Beautiful venue. Didn't seem to be a bad seat in the theatre. The usher who was working the Right Center Mezzanine on New Years Eve either needed to be better trained or needs to better familiarize himself with the seating plan. After he sat us in the wrong section he then acted like we purposely sat in the wrong seats. There was no apology or explanation to the other party that he put us in their seats. It was very awkward. Other than that my only suggestion would be to cut capacity slightly and replace current seats with larger more comfortable seating. I'm not a big guy, but I found the aisles and seating to very tight and claustrophobic. I know this might conflict with a historically accurate renovation but it would be a nice upgrade
Easy to get in and out of the theater, staff that was helping with our concert seating was very nice and helpful. We sat close to the entrance to the theater and anyone coming in or out was also getting help as they needed it. Concert with Alice Cooper was great too. Definitely a must see.
Beautiful place!! Good security measures. Phone locked away to prevent recording and communication on phone during event only. Walk through metal detectors. LOTS of stairs with only one elevator to wait in a LONG line to get in depending on event and what time you get there. Concessions have great selection of drinks and food items. Amazing interior design theater but small seats.
Such a beautiful venue! I mean the place as a must see! Staff was so helpful and friendly!
Besides not having their own parking, Stifel Theatre is great. Close to highway, parking was a short walk, staff were very friendly, the theatre is beautiful and I don't think there is a bad seat in the place. I would definitely go to another event there.
Beautiful theater and it seems like there's no bad seat in the house!
A fabulous place for a concert. Staff was quite helpful, by multiple different folks, and each appeared to care about me. It's a great way to be put at ease.
The beverage pricing if much cheaper than other local venues. The merch by the performer; well, that is out if the facility control. $50 for a tshirt is still nuts no matter how much I enjoy the artist.
I've seen plays at Stifel and concerts; great sight lines in the balcony and on the floor. Sound system is first rate. Highly recommend the facility, but skip the merch.
An amazing venue! We had a great time at an absolutely great show!
Beautiful place! The acoustics are great, and the staff was helpful. We sat in the upper balcony and still had a good view of the performance.
Gorgeous theater! Comfortable seats and easy to watch from the lower teir of the mezzanine but not a great setup for a comedy show. Taylor Tomlinson delivered and putting video up on the screen behind her made it an okay experience but the sound was subpar. Sound didn't carry well to my level of the mezzanine so I would imagine that the folks behind ne couldn't hear much at all and when the crowd erupted in laughter I got nothing from the speakers. I think Stifel would be a great venue for something other than comedy.
The venue was beautiful if limited on bathrooms and ability to leave quickly. Harry Connick Jr. was phenomenal and would get six stars--the four is for the restrictions of space of the location.
Wow.. This theatre is STUNNING! I geek out on the small things, the details... the attention to detail in every nook and cranny of this facility is awe-inspiring. I was almost as interested in the venue as I was the act we travelled over six hours to see!
How was the show? Sound? Staff? The short answer? They were all (mostly) fantastic! The long answer? 👇
The show: We booked a Loge box for our show, and while this was a spendy upgrade, I'd argue that it was worth it - here's why: it was cold outside and we didn't have to wait outside for the doors to open. We were able to wait in the comfort of the lobby until the doors officially opened an hour prior to the show. With the loge box we were granted access to the Peabody lounge. This lounge included free, delicious food and soft drinks. The loge boxes are located along the upper deck and provide a nice, though somewhat obtrusive view of the performance. These seats are not the most comfortable (they are high top bar seats) however, so you might find that standing is preferred... unless you aren't at least 5ft tall, in which case you don't have a choice but to sit - the wall here is bit too high. The surface in which you can set beverages is also only about 6 inches wide, making it uncomfortable to sit here as one would at a table. A final perk of the box upgrade? Personal wait staff - which sounds great and would definitely be, if they had come around more than one time during our 3 hour event.
Sound: Really good but not great. The audio was a bit bass heavy and muffled the vocals a bit. This might have been completely out of the theatre's hands, so hard to fault them.
Staff: We worked with Jen to secure our tickets and the process was a pleasure. She was very detailed, quick to respond, and incredibly friendly. Everyone employee we interacted with was friendly helpful.
Do yourself a favor and start checking the event calendar for the Stifel Theatre and plan your visit... you won't regret it!
Brett Eldredge was amazing. Stiefel was just beautiful.
Went for Cocomelon Live! I had never been here. Beautiful place. Great atmosphere and nice staff. Just wish I knew of the children booster seats before the show. I saw them in chairs after the show ended.
Never been here before. Beautiful place, comfortable, fast service at the bar area, ushers were very accommodating. Had an amazing time. Looking to go back!
Saw Harry Connick JR there Sunday. Great venue. Great People. Great show. Totally want to go back and see more shows.
Opera house style theater with a modern feel. Not overly ornate but just enough to give it a tremendous amount of charm and comfort. It is not extensively big so you can feel particularly close to the performance. Bars and concessions are managed more like a stadium so there are long lines at times, but the staff are friendly which give it a more intimate feel. And all, it's a great venue to see a performance.
Saw Sigur Ros there in June 2017. Great show! The acoustics were good, the visuals were awesome, the seats were comfortable. That is an absolutely lovely facility. Loved the downstairs concessions area, with the good food. I would definitely return at the next opportunity!
Went to the theater today to see an amazing show called Shen Yun. Our seats were amazing, the staff was very helpful and we had a wonderful time. Obviously for copyright reasons we couldn't take pictures of the actual show, but It's definitely a place I would recommend, especially if you can get good seats.
Beautiful opera house! I saw a concert(Lea Michele and Darren Criss) there and the sound was amazing! They did an acoustic song at the end, just them and a guitar, no microphones. This place is fantastic and I can't wait to go back! Lots of parking close by too, which is a plus!
Architecture is very cool, sound is great, comfortable seats with cup holders, not really a bad seat in the place. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful, we did have a couple staff members that where a bit rude. None the less we enjoyed the concert.
I love this place! The sound is incredible in the lower balcony. We recently saw My Morning Jacket they blew the roof off. It's been repaired now!
Great venue for a show. We sat in mezzanine level on row L and it felt as though we were close to the band. The way the theater is set up all the seats have great sight lines. Beautiful theater!
We recently attended the "Thanksgiving Soul Jam" concert. The staff manning the COVID-19 protocol lines along with the bartenders & ushers were all outstanding professionals.
I purchased tickets in row "N" for a reason...to have room between seat rows to minimize interruptions from people getting to their seats & for the extra space to dance. Role "N" on "orchestra right" has an extra wide aisle leading to the theaters' exit. Unfortunately for us a role of folding chairs were placed in this aisle, effectively decreasing the value of the seats that I purchased.
Kudos to Scott for deescalating a situation of "dancing at a musical concert." Stifel Theater should consider training their staff & publishing a policy concerning "dancing at musical concerts." However, let me warn you that if you don't want folks to dance at musical concerts then don't invite any rock & roll, rhythm & blues, jazz, country, folk, bluegrass, hip hop, blues, heavy metal, punk rock, funk, reggae, techno, Latin, house, dubstep, disco, big band or gospel music artists or bands The popularity & familiarity of these bands' music could result in foot tapping, eventually leading to the raising of hands & gyration of hips.
Great experience with my children watching Trolls Live. Entry was smooth & acoustics were clear. Price for tickets were a bit high in my opinion, but overall a thumbs up.
Beautiful building. Great staff . Fun night with Ron White . Parking on Sunday night was great too. So happy to be " in public " again.
Saw a comedy show here. It was a good show with a good atmosphere. The signage needs major improvement, though. The concessions prices were ridiculous, but that's to be expected.
I recently attended a concert at Stifel Theatre. What a beautiful venue with great acoustics and views from every seat.
A nice change of pace from the ginormous venues Also of note, is the easy parking nearby as well as the quick lines for refreshments and cocktails.
I'm looking forward to a future event at Stifel Theatre!!
First visit to the Peabody Opera House to see famous comedian Sebastian Maniscalco. Really love the venue very old school feel but very nice and well taken care of. All of the staff were fantastic really helped us in finding our seats and with any other things that we needed. This is a great venue great place to see anything from Opera any type of music venues to famous comedians.
Went to Sesame Street Live last week. Beautiful theatre. The lounge was very nice and the staff were very accommodating. The seats inside the theatre were very roomy. We had box seats and we were happy we had tables to use. I hope to visit this theatre again in the near future.
Nice venue to see a show. Easy to get in and out of if using uber etc. Expect to climb some stairs if you don't have floor seats.
Horrible night, was seated by hostess and my hundred dollars a ticket me and my guest was seated in the nosebleed section so everyone that walked up was asked by me how much were your tickets and every response was fifty five bucks . I'm never buying tickets early again I spent $260.00 for two tickets and was in the nosebleed section.
Great smaller venue good sound acoustics.
Beautiful theatre. Definitely need to be able to walk some stairs tho. Elevators and bathrooms are great but still steps to get to ur seats.
This is a big style theatre in St Louis, around 3000 cap
Make sure to walk around and check out the decor
I didn’t get to see a show here as I was working on one, so got to see some different side of the building
They have a great green room for the talent and the dressing rooms are a decent size
I would like to see a show here and will try to get to one next time I’m in town
Beautiful venue to see a concert in!! Especially if you are in the Orchestra level! However, this time we were in the Mezzanine level & I have to say if you are a larger person or have little ones with you, you probably want to spend a little extra on your seats because it gets pretty tight up there. Luckily we are small peoples so it didn't seem too bad, but I could tell others were uncomfortable. They also didn't have as many concession options for this show, but I'm sure that's because it wasn't very crowded. They usually have more options & aren't too expensive. Anyway, we'll definitely be back again!!!
Beautiful venue! Jason Mraz concert was awesome and sounded great! Concession prices are pretty typical four major event. Also known as expensive. But, seats were comfortable, the theater was clean, and everyone who worked there was super nice and friendly and helpful. Parked across the street for only ten bucks, that was the bargain of the night.
Beautiful theatre! I attended Baby Shark Live for my niece first birthday which fell on her actual birthday which was sweet! We had decent seats recommended by the box office in the mezzanine balcony. The rows were pretty narrow and everytime I bounced my niece up and down on my lap I bumped the lady in front of me. We became friends...lol! Overall we had a great time! One of the ushers was really rude to me, while I was waiting on my family to finish the meet and greet but I won't let that one experience ruin a great night!
Very nice place. The seating from the mezzanine gave a good view of the stage. The architecture and decorations of the building were very cool. Very nice old theatre.
Have seen 2 concerts there so far. A lovely space with good acoustics. No bad seats.
Laye 1920s build theater that has some stunning details still here after remodeling. And check out the Botanical conservatory gardens attached to the building.
This is an absolutely beautiful place! I would definitely recommend this venue for any concert or play type event. 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆ all the way!
A beautiful venue seen Beedtobreathe there. It was an excellent concert and we had great comfortable seats. Service at the bar was great and fast. Can’t wait to see another concert there!
Nice Theatre, staff was not great except for Ed. They could have a better dining room with tables for pre show.
Just a wonderful time every event I attend here. Even if you have the Mezzanine section, it's still not a bad seat in the house. Only bad thing is you must walk up steps or take the elevator to all levels of seating.
First time here. Saw Kacey Musgraves. Great show in a nice venue. Not sure how old the building is, but it has an old school feel for sure. One complaint would be that it was freezing. I thought once everyone filled the hall, it would warm up... But never did. Next time I'll take a jacket.
Got to see a One Act by Missouri Thespians in the Encore Ballroom. The kids did a great job. The ballroom is really nice.
Just Gorgeous in architectural style. Snacks are amazing. Sound was great. I took a star off because even though we were early, we struggle to find parking that you didn't have to pay at least $10 -$20 for in cash and had to walk two blocks in the freezing cold. The camera portraying the happenings on stage was blurry and at odd angles at some points of the show and someone seemed to be playing with the lighting instead of knowing when it's meant to go on and off.
What a beautiful theater! My first experience here was the David Byrne show and it did not disappoint. Had a good view from the upper mezzanine and the sound was phenomenal. Can't wait for another show to attend!
Amazing concert and the hall is beautiful. Loge box seats had free drinks and food.
Really beautiful place. Great staff, good sound. Seem like anywhere you would sit you get a pretty good view of the stage. The drinks are a little bit pricey but not much more than I would expect at a downtown concert.
I've seen several concerts here over the years. It's always a great venue to catch an artist. The inside of the theater is beautiful, and there really isn't a bad seat in the house.
Beautiful theatre, great for a live show - comfy seats, good site lines. Employees working show very friendly. Bathrooms clean. Drinks, snacks and candy pricy (cocktails $13, beer $10-12, water $5.25, soda $6.75). Card payment only, no cash.
Stairs are dangerous but the venue is absolutely beautiful. And the concert was good too lol.
Enjoyed visiting this beautiful concert venue. Parking was confusing. Turns out there's a lot across the street, but there were no signs. Otherwise, we enjoyed the concert and will definitely look forward to visiting in the future.
Beautiful theater but the seats are cramped. If you are tall and/or plus sized prepare to be uncomfortable for the whole show. Your knees will be smashed against the seat in front of you. I'm tall and made the mistake of wearing tight pants. I had to leave half way through the show because I couldn't take the leg pain anymore.
When to see Franky Valli with my mother in law and the theater was beautiful, parking was close, and l can't wait to visit again 😊 …
Excellent accommodations, fantastic acoustics. Great show!
TOM JONES WAS A REAL INSPIRATION.
HIS VOICE IS STELLAR.
HE WAS WONDERFUL AND VERY OPEN WITH HIS SINCERITY.
82 YEARS YOUNG AND STILL A THRILL AND HEART THROB FOR THE LADIES AND A REAL MAN'S MAN.
A nice theater in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Built in 1932, closed in 91, then renovated in 2011. Parking isn't exactly close by, the closest being next to Enterprise Center. The building still looks great and has a lot of history. Acoustics are pretty good.
Absolutely beautiful architectur! Derek Hough put on one of the most beautiful, moving, & fun performances I have ever seen.Derek come back to St Louis!
Been there a few times. Most recent was for Pod Save America. Only one concession stand open on the balcony really made for a slow getting drinks experience.
Outside of that, the venue is great.
The theater was beautiful. We had a wonderful time seeing Nikki Glaser.
Get seating, not a bad seat in the house. Great sound for Alice Cooper anyway.
Beautiful venue ☺️
Great place to see shows. Not s bad seat in the place.
Very good experience. I will go back often and highly recommend. I highly recommend the vip parking. It was easy, ample, and quick to get in and out of.
Great memories. Haven't been there since Kiel Auditorium days. Still a fabulous venue with great sound and ambiance. Lyfe Jenkins SWV and Brian McKnight brought the house down! ❤️
Beautiful venue. Easy to navigate, good disability resources. W great place for a show.
Nice venue, went there years ago! Still a great place for a concert.
Great venue for shows! However the seats were worse than being on an airplane. No leg room at all, I was on my tippy toes the whole show, and anytime the guy in front of me sat back the chair pushed into my shin. And if you have hips you get stuck, they really need to adjust the seating.
This was a awesome venue, they do have nose bleeds so he weary when purchasing tickets, the vendors were very friendly, drink prices were outrages but that was expected. The opera house itself is gorgeous looking at the ceilings and walls its just a beautiful layout and worth stopping in if there haopens to be a show your interested in, Ours was Jim Jefferies and it was definitely worth it.
Nice place to go for shows. Our seats were high up but still a good view. Concession prices are too high!!
This theater is classy and easy to navigate. I really enjoyed my show
We went there for Chelsea Handler. The show was ok. I am not exactly her target audience and that's fine. The seats up on the mezzanine were terrible though. The venue is beautiful but something has to be done about the seats. They left mine and my date's backs in agony. We and numerous others had to get up and leave about an hour into the show.
we took our 3 year old to see paw patrol live...nice smaller theater any seat u buy will have a nice veiw of the stage...nice helpful staff...
Went and saw Taylor Tomlinson and had an amazing time! I would highly recommend checking it out.
Beautiful theater. We saw Nick jr live and it was nice. Sat in row L of mezzanine. Deets are very tight and no leg room for someone that is 6 foot tall. Nice spot for a show but seating is not comfortable.
Frankie Valli and the current Four Seasons singers performed a great concert in St. Louis. Mr. Valli still sings his greatest hits and some tributes to that OTHER Frank, Old Blue Eyes, and 60s Soul with enthusiasm and a beautiful interpretive sound. The musicians in his band are amazing. Made us feel like we were in a top Vegas Showroom, and enjoyed when they invited the audience to sing along on some favorites. Thanks for sharing your amazing talents so generously, Frankie and Friends.
Stifel Theatre is an absolutely beautiful venue. I love its historic charm, original features and updates to the interior. Other than $$$$ at concessions and long lines, accessibility is my main concern, it being a major one. One must access on different part of building where doors are not regularly accessible to public for the ramp. The restrooms are only on 2 levels, so you have to go up to 3bor down to 1 to use it.. You have to walk down half a dozen stairs simply to ENTER the restroom area from the main entrance. I love the place, I love what we were there for, I just wish companies, venues, retailers, architects, designers, and every other person could consider that stairs aren't an option for everyone.
The old Kiel Opera House, now known as Stifel Theater, is a wonderful venue. The bears on Market Street are a St. Louis icon. Great sound and a classy vibe make this a great place to see a show.
Came with the wife for the jo koy comedy tour
What a great theater in downtown St. Louis. Great seats, friendly staff. The sound was also great. Will definitely come back and see more shows here. A nice addition to the other venues in the city.
Wow, this place is cool. Whoever decided to host a technology conference in an opera house is genius! Great facility with friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful venue! Attended David Blaine show, it was truly a breathtaking atmosphere.
We went to see Chris Rock and I truly loved this venue! Clean, organized, the staff was SOOO polite and kind; we even misread our tickets and accidentally sat in the wrong seats and the staff was so kind when informing us we were 2 seats off lol. I look forward to going again!
'Shen Yun' means "Divine Heavenly Dance". Performance was Divine. The venue is grand.
A little difficult to decrypt entrance procedures Ann's an overzealous employee or two, bur mainly very good venue.
Love this little theatre
Seems like something I stepped back in time in! Pleasantly surprised. Very cordial staff. Had a great time.☺
Beautiful and elegant. Excellent place for business meeting... Reception.. Any type of celebration will fit and make your party look to notch.
Classic and yet Timeless. We like to ‘dress up’ and here you definitely feel comfortable and not out of place! Clean facilities and friendly staff
Really enjoyed the Tom Jones concert. I have always enjoyed going to the Stifel Theater for an event.
We had second row pit seats for the Evening with Ghost show. Everything about the Peabody was fantastic. Beautiful venue, and in my opinion the best sound system in St Louis.
We went to watch Il Divo which was an AMAZING performance. The theater is beautiful and well maintained and very spacious. The stairs are beautiful as well as the ceiling. I heard others say it was smaller than thr Fox Theater. I have not been to that one so I cant make that comparison. Seats are pretty comfortable and it allows a tiny bit of room instead of feeling so cramped.
Gorgeous venue, but very old fashioned. I don't mean that in a bad way, just expect a lot of stairs and the seating is a bit cramped and steep. We loved it though.
Great downtown location for a conference. Ballroom was nice, staff was friendly and food was good.
Beautiful theater. Wonderfull and the nicest staff ever. Great acoustics. The only recommendation I would add is please offer Mt Dew and Dr Pepper for those of us who don't drink alcohol. I will be back. Love it💖 …
Beautiful venue, easy to navigate around.
Beautiful place and great for shows
The Stifel Theatre was really nice....box seating for me, always !!!!!
I also, hope Leela James returns with the band.
Saw Alice Cooper there got a free upgrade on seats and the staff was super friendly
Beautiful theatre. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great experience at Leanne Morgan show.
Excellent show, good sound. Can't blame theater for people that don't know how to behave in public. Arrived late, got up and had everyone between them and aisle move, no less than 5 times.
The detail on the art work inlaying the building is beautiful, the acoustics are well built, the experience and feel are breathtaking. Highly recommend seeing features here!
It was a great experience. Went there for a concert. The interior is superb. Would definitely go there again. Don't park near this theater before being 100% sure. I asked a policeman before parking if it was ok to park. Still got ticket.
Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets was a 10/10. It was an incredibly intense show especially from the front row. The security could have done a little better keeping the crowd of cheaper ticket purchasers back in their sections, but overall a great experience. The downtown location was seedy, homeless people living a stone's throw from the entrance made the late night leave a little more exciting. I thought to myself yay will I get mugged on the west side of the road or traverse to the other side and get clipped by the busy traffic.
I always enjoy concerts here! The orchestra level seating is good no matter which side you are on.
I was compt a ticket from Chris Rock's tour manager for delivering some last minute items before his show at the Stifle Theater (formerly the Peabody Opera House) in St Louis Missouri. I was all the way stage right in the 1st row of the orchestra but there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house.
I can't wait to hear some live music in there because while the Chris Rock show was hilarious ( no he didn't mention him or the oscars) a comedian doing standup doesn't test the acoustics. I've heard nothing but great things and can't wait to hear it fir myself.
Beautiful venue! The lobby areas arent anything crazy but the actual theatre area is so beautiful. I definitely recommend going if you get the chance. The only qualm I had was that the seats are a little uncomfortable. I am 5'7 and there wasnt a ton of leg room in the Mezannine Seating.
The Stifel Theatre is beautiful. I went to see Jim Jefferies! He was great! I got wonderful seats in the orchestra section.
Great venue. The music wasn't deafening like many music venues tend to be. It is a beautiful theatre.
This was my first time here and it is a nice elegant place. I went here with my mom for the Thanksgiving Soul Jam with the Heatwaves, Stylistics, Manhattans and The Whispers. The place is beautiful but just a smaller place than other arenas in St.Louis such as The Enterprise Center or The Chaifez arena.
We bought tickets to see a comedy show months ago and 2 weeks prior to the show the wife needed ACL surgery. The Opera House was extremely accommodating and the staff was very helpful towards my wife. This experience made the trip worthwhile and we will look for more opportunities to go in the future.
Saw Jo Koy this past weekend. Great and beautiful venue!
This was my first time here and I fell in love. I didn't love the fact that you have to prepay for parking, but the staff was wonderful and the show was so much fun!
First time attending an event here. Came to see Bert Kreischer. The venue was beautiful and the details around the stage were amazing. The seating rows were really close to one another, but the seats themselves were fairly comfortable. I really enjoyed this theater.
Lovely venue and more to be spied when using your little eye.
Not a bad seat in the house! Came here last Wednesday to see Rent and the show was amazing. Love the Keil Bar on the main levels perfect place to grab a drink and settle in.
This was my first time at Stifel Theatre. We went here to see a standup comedian. The interior of the whole facility is pretty cool looking, it’s a neat vibe for the whole building. Restrooms are pretty spaced out, though I do recommend that you go up higher towards the balcony if the line near you is very long.
Favorite concert venue in St. Louis!
We got to see Paw Patrol Live here. Amazing venue and a great show! My nephew loved it.
It's more intimate smaller but it's the theater but seating is literally too close it's almost like you're on top of each other and not enough space to walk past for real but it was quaint and intimate and close up I did like being close up
Excellent venue! Pricey drinks though.
Awesome venue for different types of shows. We were there for a comedy show and it was amazing!! The lighting, acoustics and the vibe of the venue were all great! Can't wait to go back and enjoy more shows.
Great venue for concerts and shows. Beautiful restoration/renovation of the theatre. Upper seats feel a trifle cramped.
Great place to see your favorite celebrity..
If you ever get a chance, the VIP lounge is a fantastic experience. Small portions of fantastic food, a well stocked bar and fantastic desserts. The shows are always great and the staff is very friendly.
Beautiful theater! We saw Christina Aguilera there and there is not one bad seat in the venue! Would definitely see another show there!
Beautiful theatre. A lot of street parking all over (free on a weekends)
We attended a Hozier concert here, the staff was friendly and helpful, there was seating although everyone stood during the concert, and the sound was phenomenal! Would definitely recommend!
It was awesome..There is really no bad seats.
This theater is beautiful inside. I had a great time here. I've been here a few times and it is lovely. Customer service is also quality and live security is phenomenal.
I wish they would stop changing the name, but this is the same amazing music venue I have enjoyed for 50 years!
Very nice theater! The staff was very courteous and polite, helping us get to our seats quickly and answering some questions about the show that we had before it started. The lounge there prior to the show was also quite nice to have available.
Only gripe? The drink prices were a little high, but that's really to be expected at any theater like this.
Just saw EWF last tonight at this venue...nice place sound was good...but the seating was very close legs were right against the seat in front of me. EWF did what they do as always....killed it
Great atmosphere, with amazing lighting and decor. The sound is incredible. This is a perfect place to see a concert or play.
What a great place for a concert. Staff was wonderful and the accoustics are perfect.
Such a classic and beautiful theatre.
Wonderful theatre for a show. I've seen concerts, comedians, and kids shows here. Never a disappointment, no bad seats, and great aesthetics.
Beautiful venue. Seating very small. Do not buy seats in mezzanine if you have problems walking.
Quick in and out. A little steep high up. Every seat is a good one. We saw Earth, Wind and Fire there and it was great!
Didn't like the fact that the had everyone lock up their cell phones... In a lock bag they provided...on the other hand the comedy show was hilarious... kudos Chris Rock...
Great staff every time I come
Saw Daniel Tiger with the Family. Great Times! (the Men's room could use more 'changing area/tables for babies) very friendly and helpful staff.
Seats are 2 small, long my knees were about 2 fall off. A kind usher got me a chair. Thank God. The staff was very nice from the greeter, elevator operator and ushers. Sheng Yu was awesome.
The ushers need to do their job and not let people in after show starts. Half the show was ruined by people walking in front of me. Also need to enforce no camera policies
Wonderful place. Lovely acoustics. Very classy atmosphere. Had a lovely time here in 2017 when I went to see the Pixies live. they were on tip top form that night. The venue is extremely cool and it was a lovely late night walk in this area. I had a great time. Would definitely come back again if in the area. Recommend checking this venue out if you have the time.
Went there for a bite to eat before a show. Great view of the new soccer stadium.
Had a great time in this beautiful theater. The show, Paw Patrol Live wasn't my favorite lol. But my boy loved it!
This is a beautiful venue! The acoustics for The Earth, Wind and Fire concert was extraordinary! The seating was comfortable and not cramped! The Budweiser Kiel Club was opened 30 minutes before the venue doors were opened! It offered Budweiser drinks including my favorite Michelob Ultra! The 16 Oz cans were $10 dollars and they served pizza and made to order nachos which were delicious! The clubs atmosphere was very nice and I highly recommend it before any show!
This place is architectural nerds Eden. Extremely similar. 😁 …
Beautiful theater. Well ran, good staff.
Great venue, not a bad seat
Beautiful venue, overpriced refreshments, very helpful folks, not very comfortable seats, acoustics are ok, but nothing to write home about, overall was a great evening spent with Hasan Minhaj
Beautiful theater. BEAUTIFUL. Horrible seats. HORRIBLE. I'm only 5'10 and I had to sit with my legs sideways. Which was just as uncomfortable as it sounds.
Beautiful venue Brett Eldredge Christmas was awesome
Beautiful venue. Not a ton of leg room, but that's to be expected at these old venues like this. Not a bad seat in the house.
Went to Smino concert! Experience was awesome!
This is a fantastic venue with great sound!
Attended the Kathleen Madigan show and she was amazing. As far as the venue is concerned, staff was amazing but the theater was extremely hot and uncomfortable.
Beautiful
I simply had a ball! The atmosphere was great and I sat by some funny people! And I simply love me some Tim Allen. He was funny, charming & sexy!
This is a beautiful venue! Historic! We saw Earth Wind and Fire and the acoustics were perfect, not a bad seat in the place. Even the restrooms were clean and very nice. There is an elevator available with an operator..pretty classy! We went into the stifel club before the show and it was very nice, but drinks were pretty expensive and they did sell slices of pizza, popcorn and nachos..but once again, pretty expensive.all the employees were very nice and knowledgeable.
Loved seeing some of my Favorite artists in SUCH warm and comfortable surroundings and atmosphere! The seats are super comfy (a little low but still comfy)😊. And love having bar stands right outside the door. Hate that you have to leave the floor to go to the restrooms, that's a bummer 😞 But all is very good even the restroom have PLENTY of stalls for us Ladies 😚
Security getting in was a bit slow. Use the online check in to speed your entry.
Only 2 bartenders on duty for a well attended event.
Very nice venue.
Excellent place to see a show. Use valet parking if available.
Fabulous!! Brett Eldridge Glow Show was absolute awesome!!
Saw Fluffy and loved the show. We were left and row D. Pretty darn perfect seats and worth the cost. He had me laughing so hard my cheeks hurt. 🤣 …
Smooth process of entering and being directed through security, covid check, and directing to seat.
Very beautiful venue, like stepping into a piece of history. Comfortable seats. I would not go back for a concert, unfortunately. Too many people confused about if they should stand or sit. Update: went back for a non concert and was perfect. Drinks are pricey though
Great venue. This was a beautiful play. I laughed, cried and partied at the same time 😀 …
Nice place, helpful and friendly staff! The building is gorgeous. There is not a bad seat in the place, even in the very tall balcony. The sound in here is incredible. You can hear it echo off the ceiling. If you get a chance to indulge in the VIP lounge the food is fantastic.
Beatifully restored theater/opera house in downtown St Louis. Steep seating in the balcony, so be careful of the narrow stairs.
I saw the baby Ghost in this venue. I had a spectacular time. There is a nice gentleman who runs the elevator. Security is quite helpful and also vigilant. The merchandise stands were easy to reach, and the lines were never too long. I thought everything about the Opera House gave me a very nostalgic feel. Besides that, the atmosphere was perfect, and the overall presentation was an excellent fit for a band like Ghost.
Saw Lyle Lovett and Cris Issac and it is a beautiful place. Mot a bad seat anywhere in there!
Second time there, nice place.
Great venue! No bad seats and the acoustics were amazing!
Seats are small with little leg room. Consession is remarkably slow. However , the sound is great and their isn't a bad seat in the house.
Very nice venue ,Alice Cooper was awesome !
It's has very old feel about the page. The layout is very vertical, so if you're 'towards the back', you're really closer to the ceiling than the back of anything. The main room has a strange acoustical vibe, which very much amplifies the high frequencies the higher up you sit, unless properly mixed.
I'd recommend parking at Union Station, it's about a 10 minute walk, but very enjoyable.
First time there, the staff was great! The person who scanned or ticket, the guy who sold us our snacks, and the guy who walked us to our seats...just all very friendly. Hard to find these days!
First time here to see Kacey Musgraves and goodness this is a gorgeous theater. The staff was extremely friendly during the concert and concessions had a good variety. The building reminded me of a 1920's Gatsby era and I loved the vibe. Comfortable seating and great acoustics! I'll definitely come back!
I enjoyed the show.also the staff helped me getting a wheelchair because I was hurting from walking so far on my bad leg.they gave me and my husband back to the car so we didn't have to walk so far.The staff was great.
It's a beautiful theater. The stairs are very steep, and the seats are way too close; you have absolute no leg space.
Great place to hear some music. Never had a problem finding a bathroom or a drink. Acoustics are really good. Kind of like Fox Theater, not as ornate though. Perfect sized venue, not overly intimate but not overwhelmingly large.
The venue is fabulous. It's very pretty and has great acoustics. They serve beverages & have ample bathrooms. There are even handy cup holders on the backs of the seats in front of you, bonus! The reason I didn't give 5 stars was only for parking. There is a lot of parking available but they will only accept cash. Finding an ATM in an area I'm not familiar with was a nightmare. Thankfully I got there an hour early because that's how long it took me to locate an ATM, get cash & then find parking. There are lots of one way streets which make what should be an easy trip, difficult. Just bring some cash and you should be all right! Note, for this particular show a Peabody parking pass was $25 but parking all around was only $10. That might be different if there's a Blues game or a Cardinal game the same night of your event.
Beautiful theater, excellent acoustics.
Thank you for having The Thanksgiving Soul Jam last night with the Whispers. Great Show I been a fan for a long time. But I was sad the Whispers. Came out on stage at 10 . Ieft at 10 45pm. My call a ride came to me up
Very nice place but they nd babychanging stations in the restrooms. Very nice staff they took us over to the other part of building for a changing station
We saw Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats and the show was great! If you have a chance to see them, definitely do it. The venue itself was really nice. The seats were comfortable, though we didn't actually sit down once the show started. The look and feel of the theater is more like a small intimate venue even though its a pretty decent sized house. The staff seemed friendly and helpful enough, trying to spot patrons looking for their rows in the dark and helping them find their seats. The lobby area was overly crowded and somewhat difficult to navigate due to the locations of the bar and merchandise areas. I felt the acoustics for the music were spectacular but when there was just someone speaking it was somewhat difficult to understand what they were saying. Overall a fun venue to explore.
That place is still beautiful It's been at least 30 years since I've been there Caught The Kathleen madigan show Show was great sound was great Just a good time
Beautiful place. And the sound was amazing for Joe Bonamassa.
Great sound system. Comfortable seats!
Beautiful venue. Great view even from the highest rows.
The sound needs help especially for the corners above the level of the mains. The handicap access is more like handicap frustrate. Need a smoother, easier experience for them. Update: the sound is still mediocre at best they even had a "blowout" briefly during the Celtic Women concert. If you spend the money for a loge box, expect to not hear anything clearly.
Nice concert venue. Intimate setting. Every seat a great seat.
Beautiful vintage theatre with all the historical architecture and epic sound depth.... add in Comedian Brian Regan and you are in for a true treat!
The sound system is always on point. The remodeling is amazing!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
Gorgeous theater. Very intimate like the Fox.
Love this place. The staff was so helpful tonight. We saw Earth, Wind & Fire. When we got our tickets we did.not know my friend would be in a wheelchair. The show was sold out. The staff worked diligently to find us an accessible spot, and it didn’t look good. Eric was the front of the house manager. And there was another gentleman that went and walked the floor. They worked together until they found us a spot where my friend could stay in the wheelchair and I could sit next to her. They were so kind and helpful.. It’s not easy being wheelchair bound and they made our night. Thank you so much. We will be back.
Venue was nice. Seats were a little tight for a big guy. Beer was $15 for domestic "25 ounces" that looked like a 20oz pour in a 24oz glass. I see a lot of shows at all kinds of places and the beer prices are the highest I've ever seen. I enjoyed the show and venue but would not seek out another show specifically for this venue.
Wonderful venue to see theatrical performing arts. We seen The Lord of The Dance and it was amazing. You could see well from just about every seat in the house. Lightning and sound is very good as well. It accommodate for elderly and or those with disabilities by providing elevators and ramps. Adult beverage lounge as well and you could take your drinks to your seats. There is also a premium parking garage next to the venue. I recommend this venue with high marks.
Very very pretty inside, and it is well set up for crowds. The seats are very comfortable, and the atmosphere is very good for concerts! The band was able to sing without the microphones and you could hear them clearly with great acoustics! Overall great experience
This theatre is beautiful, the bathroom facilities are also very nice.
Make sure to bring see thru bag, or transparent purse. It is not allowed to bring in regular purses or bagpacks.
The only think is that the seats have a funny smell, like pee.
Other than that we had a great time at the NHL Media Day.
What a beautiful venue great place to see live music concert staff is a tentative easy to get in and out of could use a couple more bartenders they only at 2 at the downstairs bar and the line was a little long almost missed the start of the show what place is absolutely fabulous highly recommend
This place needs a face lift bad! The chairs are the smallest in the world. It's such a gorgeous venue but wow the chairs. You are literally on top of people.
Nice theater! I did hear some of the larger patrons complaining about the many flights of stairs, so if your mobility is compromised, don't buy mezzanine tickets. Otherwise, very good venue. Not sure where everybody parked; we grabbed street parking about 4 blocks away and got out with no wait.
Great theater for shows. I went to Jim Gaffigan and the theater was a great venue. I'd recommend getting the parking included with the ticket so that it's easy and low key to arrive and leave. The only thing to know is that the seats are very close together and there's not a lot of leg room.
Very nice auditoriums. The main hall is very nice and specious. The view from upper level is great. They have good sound system and lighting.
Parking at Union station is not too far. Nice view from outside. The arch is visible from outside this building
Enjoyed the show! Great seats, wish they had a little more legroom but great view! Couldn't find a bathroom on the 2nd floor but 1st floor ladies bathroom was plenty big enough to clear the crowd pretty quickly.
Beautiful theatre with fairly comfortable seating, not that we sat down much. Concessions were a bit pricey but we expected as much. My only real problem was with one of the security team up by the stage - there was a group of stumbling, drunk people standing in front of us that she did nothing about, but when my friend merely went to the aisle to get a picture she told him to go back to his seat.
A nice and cozy theater. The upper balcony is steep and the seats are narrow, so if you have hips I suggest sitting in the more expensive seats. There isn't a bad view in the house, though. And the acoustics are fantastic. After seeing a heavy Metal/hard rock show I remarked that we could clearly hear the lyrics (when the singer allowed!). As you sit higher you do lose the view of the very back of the stage, but a good crew should adjust for that. Definitely a good venue for music.
Beautiful venue. Fantastic entertainment experience.
Very nice venue. Clean and in great shape. The opera house room is larger than I expected. Bathrooms could be a little bigger to reduce queuing. Seating leaves very little leg room or shoulder room. Acoustics are excellent and foot traffic in and out worked well.
The Opera House is beautiful and I don't believe there is a bad seat in the house. Seating was comfortable and rest rooms were convenient and clean. Acoustics are good and we had no difficulty hearing every word. The only downside is the fact there is NO PARKING available. Perhaps on a beautiful day this would not be a problem but when the temperature is in the teens with snow blowing, a 6/7 block walk is not good. I would think twice before going back.
This venue was absolutely beautiful and there was not a bad seat in the house for viewing the stage. However, I will say that it was a very tight squeeze for the knees and I am only 5 foot 3 in. My legs were getting cramped by the end of the concert. Along with everyone else around me.
Beautiful theatre and friendly staff.
Great night for comedy show. Went to see Ron White. Think the whole mask, and needing to be vaccinated is ridiculous. Hell some of the people in my group actually didnt even have to show proof.
Where to even begin? My husband and I live in LA and are in the entertainment industry. I’m from St. Louis, so that’s where we decided to get married. I toured several venues but none of them stood out to me like the Stifel did. It’s beautiful inside and out and very classic.
The venue coordinator, Amber Marshall, is a machine. She was crucial in making our dream come true. She answered my millions of questions and catered to our weird requests. We will never be able to thank her enough.
The food and beverage coordinator, Jessica Harvey, is a gem of a human, and a serious professional. Everyone gushed over the food and the service.
Everyone who worked our wedding was absolutely perfect. Morgan, Sara, the servers, bartenders, chefs, bussers, security, and every other person who worked that night are responsible for our perfect wedding.
If you are artsy and/or in to historic buildings, this is a great venue! Even if you aren’t, it’s a great venue! Our guests couldn’t get over how wonderful everything was.
Such a beautiful theater..
Great sound system.
1 less star cause it was too warm.
Good place to watch comedians and listen to music
The renovations are stunning. Not a bad seat in the house! The rec velvet curtain is just like the old one. I'm so thankful that the designers chose to restore to it original glory (with some great new technologies). This place is near and dear to me. It was the theater I saw my very first play in when I was a very little girl. It took a long time but I am so glad that the decision to renovate was made instead of just tearing it down. Since its reopening, I've enjoyed several plays, several Easter Sunday church services and a Rockette performance! I'm so happy to be able to share this lovely theater with my niece for years to come.
Great experience and beautiful venue!
First time at the Opera House. Awesome staff. Lines to get in moved pretty fast. Plenty of staff to help you with any and all concerns. Just wish they had a bigger food selection. Our food options were basically popcorn or theater candy. View was awesome for being at the upper most level. Sound was clear and amazing. The lighting was spot on. The building is one beautiful structure. This is a place I would buy tickets to see another show at. Best of all Fluffy promised us that he would be back to Saint Louis.
We had a nice conference.
The venue is nice. Old building with a lot of personality.
The seats are a tight fit. There is plenty of parking and it is near public transport.
I don't recall many places to eat in walking distance but that's how St. Louis is.
Amazing venue
Not a bad seat in the theater.
Always enjoyable...
Will recommend and a must attend..
The ushers were great and the place was beautiful. However the seating was very uncomfortable. I am only 5'3" and there wasn't enough room for my legs. My boyfriend has longer legs and was terribly uncomfortable. Had a hard time enjoying the show because of it...understanding the age of the theater.
Excellent venue. Layout is great, with good visibility of the stage from all seats. Acoustics are on point, and overall, a great experience. Only negative is the cramped leg room, but that's common in theaters, and not enough of an issue to worry over.
Beautiful place, great deal if you can get a parking pass for the show you are seeing.
Great venue. Beautiful updates. Staff is great with kids, especially toddlers!
Very beautiful inside and out. I've watched a few concerts there this year. The first time I tried to be cheap and sat in the very last row in the balcony. Do not do this, the sound bounces off the back wall and sounds horrible, drums are way too loud and vocals are muddled. The 2nd trip we sat near the middle of the balcony, sound was so much better. All of the balcony seats have very little leg room so it that is a concern pay extra for orchestra level.
Awesome experience! No drama, nobody with their pants sagging. Good clean fun. I give it 10 stars.
Beautiful building with fantastic ameneties. Seen several acts including recently Elf on the Shelf: The Musical. Fantastic!
The theater is beautiful and the staff is very helpful!! Every seat is great!!
I am so in awe of the architecture and size of the place. They succeeded in keeping the integrity of the building from years ago. Then you go inside to the stage, Wow, it's another world. The food, ambiance, entertainment, drinks, program, were perfect not to mention the courteous staff from valet service, coat check, elevator, to servers. Affinia was correct in picking this auditorium for this gala. As a 71 year old woman on a cane, I highly recommend this place for any enterprise!!
This was our first visit to the Stifel Theatre, in St. Louis, and we will definatly plan to come back again. It is a beautiful clean venue, staff were so helpful and curtious, and the acoustics were great. We sat in the mezzanine and still had a great view. Enjoyed our visit to the theatre and city.
Best for sit-down concerts as space is tight. Beautiful and ornate theater.
They started on time. All of the acts were great. I purchased one handicap accommodation and the young man who seated us made it happen.
I went to see Shen Yun, something I've wanted to see for years. It was fabulous. I had an upfront seat near the stage. I could see the dancers very well. I remember coming to the then Kiel for different events and this reminded me of days of old. The renovations are great. Any event you go to, I'm sure you will love being there.
Great venue, holds about 3,100 people.
The Stifel is great. It's s beautiful venue. The mezzanine has great views. There are a lot of steps if you're sitting up on the balcony though. Parking can be difficult if you don't know where you're going beforehand. I recommend the garage attached to the Scottrade Center. On level 2 there is a door on the north side to walk straight into the road beside the Peabody.
The building is gorgeous, the staff were so helpful and the Gabriel Iglesias show was great! Highly recommend attending ant event at this venue!
Stifel Theatre is a great venue for all types of events. Our most recent visit was for the Wild Kratts show and it was our first visit since the name changed from Peabody. The architecture of the building is beautiful and well maintained inside and out. The event staff was very helpful and we had no trouble locating someone when we needed assistance. We purchased event parking with our tickets and it was well worth the extra money (I highly recommend it if you have the option). We really enjoyed the event and look forward to the next one at Stifel Theatre!
Gorgeous theater, we look forward to coming back!
Fabulous venue! We went to see the Janis Joplin show, which was excellent. We set 6 rows back from the stage but I don't think the is a bad set in the house.
I like stifel for all kinds of events. Makes a great concert venue and a reading room for authors. The event rooms are wonderful for entertaining.
I went there for the first time this February to watch Jim Gaffigan. It was defiantely a great experience.
very steep stairs and little space to pass.
Beautiful building that exudes luxury and history. Took my daughters to Wild Kratts Live. Since I bought tickets late the options were limited to upper level and sides. But even with those tickets the view was great! The only issue was the concession table in the upper area couldn't take card payments, so had to go down to lower levels to buy a cookie which wasn't a big deal at all. Overall it was a wonderful place to take my girls for a "fancy daddy daughter date" and can't wait for more dates at the Peabody!
Also of note...we went on a Sunday afternoon and with nothing else going on downtown that day there was a lot of free street parking.
Excellent venue! Great sears, sound and staff
Perfect venue to experience a legendary performer such as Sting. An intimate setting with an amazing sound. It's all about the memories you make, and this one will stand out. Great Concert!!
What a beautiful venue! Acoustics were amazing, seats were amazing and Alt-J, the performer was awe inspiring. I keep finding myself looking for another reason to visit the Peabody, it was truly such a memorable event.
Great venue!! Easy parking and comfortable seats!
Wonderful venue for Lyle Lovett and Chris Issak concert.
Nice theatre, mediocre food. We went to the George Lopez show and the buffet food left something to be desired. It was all dry and tasted old. I know that it was free and you should never look a gift horse in the mouth, but I expected better.
I had an amazing time at my first Ho Ho Show.
Great venue minus attendants and flashlights being shined on you constantly trying to find seats or people raking pictures were getting lights flashed at them and 30+ people around the picture taker .
I suggest every venue allows 2 minutes for us to take images so we can post in Facebook Twitter etc . Friends while main person or band is on stage still just stand and smile instead of restricting images the entire showing wanting to take image so here is my image before show not as good as a live shot?
Great theater. Amazing experience
Not only was the theater a beautiful environment, but Fluffy gave us more than an hour over his regular performance time. A phenomenal show!
Beautiful theater
Great buffet set up- perfect.for the kiddos and adults *with VIP tix*
Kiddo loved sesame street live-
Truly an enjoyable experience to see a show/concert here. Even sitting all the way up top you get a great view of the stage. Was there recently for a show, my friend's purse looked like a backpack, which they're are not allowing into the theater any more, but instead of having to take it all the way back to the car, they were letting people check things like that into guest services for free. Not only was in super easy to do, the staff was so polite, understanding, & helpful. I've been in situations like this before that were awful and ruined the whole event for me, not here. I highly recommend this venue.
A shout to the staff for making what could've been an uncomfortable situation, painless and almost fun! Thanks "Tree"!!!
A great place to watch Santa Jam.
Beautiful Building!! Hadn't been there since I was a teenager..
Stifel Theatre is an excellent venue to see a show. The classic-theatre vibe provides a nice setting, and the tiered-seating architecture means that there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The venue also has plenty of food and beverage amenities, reducing the length of lines and thus wait times.
The Peabody is a wonderful venue at which I've attended several concerts, including alt-J last night and Brit Floyd three weeks ago. It is a grand building with great acoustics and ample street parking nearby (free after 7 p.m.)
Always have loved this place. We have seen many great concerts here from back in the day when it was originally known as the Kiel. Beautifully decorated and the sound resonates everywhere. Not a bad seat in the place.
Theater was beautiful and the concert was great.
Great experience with a great show. Just saw the Grinch and they did a fantastic job. Facilities are clean with plenty of stalls. Snacks/drinks are overpriced (as expected). Staff was very polite and helpful.
Wonderful concert for the grown and sexy adults. My date and I enjoyed our seats which was close to front stage on right. This was my first visit to The Stifle Theatre (elegant and intimate )
The Steifel Theatre Inuits a beautiful venue right in the middle of downtown St. Louis. The theater staff is friendly and helpful, the seats are comfortable enough, and they often serve refreshments. You will experience a pleasurable experience at any show you may attend here.
Cramped seating, best for low-key shows where people remain seated. I had to cross my legs at the ankles; there's literally no room to sit normally. Lovely venue, though.
Frist time there. Went to see Dream Threater. Epic! The Stifel has there own private parking garage for a fee, purchase ahead of the event. The parking is Right across the street. The building was beautiful, clean. The staff was friendly, helpful and had elevators easy for moving between the levels.
I look forward to going to future events at the Stifel Theatre.
Just saw Dane Cook there tonight. The theater is super pretty. Give yourself enough time to find parking (parking is not free, bring cash). I didn't see an elevator as we had to climb all 3 flights of stairs and then another to get to our seats, so be prepared for a climb. The seats are cramped, but I expected that as this is a theater.
Stifel is a beautifully renovated theater in downtown St. Louis. Our visit here was for a graduation for St. Louis University High School. The sound system with the theater was excellent. We heard all speakers clearly and when the orchestra played the sound resonated well in the building. We will have to visit again for a play on our next visit to St. Louis.
There's a desperate need for lights on the stairs and lights showing the letters for each row. Without these lights it's very dangerous situation. Other wise everything was great. It would cost a massive amount of money to have the rows widened so people aren't sitting with their knees touching their chins. Otherwise it's a great place 😊😊😊😊😊
Been to 3 big name stand up comedy shows here. Not a bad seat in the house. staff gets people along as well as you can with 2000 people moving through the doors and concession stands.one show they were really short on liquor. Other than that i can't think of a complaint all 3 times I visted.
Just went to paw patrol live with my grandchildren. Great show. Easy in and out. Please have presenters offer more reasonable souvenirs. Gma of three cannot afford tickets and $25 souvenirs for there.
Nice clean environment
Friendly knowledgeable staff
The show was awesome. The venue is nice. Workers were very helpful getting people to their seats. The seats are very tight in the top section. My knees were touching the seat in front of me the whole time.
Great seats. Easy access. Parking was easy. Close to the metro link.
Great place for the show! Only two problems; the idiots who think it's ok to stand in front of you for the whole show. And i don't know where they got Godzilla the Hun as 'usher,' but at least she took her job seriously! Neither were Stifel's fault. Food and drink is both limited and pricey.
Nice and clean. One thing that I have against this place is fact that the seats are too close together. I would have loved to have more room. But the concert was beautiful. The sound was very good.
Nice. But eat and drink before you come. $6 for a Pepsi. I think $7.50 for a slice of pizza. You can get alcohol here also.
The theater itself is really nice.
We were invited to an awesome show. It would be nice to have a bathroom on every floor. So a family won't have to travel so far. The show was amazing and your venue is clean.
i set off the metal detector with my boots. ladies-be prepared to hand over your purse/bag to be looked through. (just a quick go-thru....no slow scrutiny) saw 'shen yun', good show. excellent venue. comfy seats, staggered for us shorties sitting behind high hairs, amazing building with awesome art deco features, every staff member encountered was 'above & beyond' caliber.
Seen Incubus here for there Make yourself 20th anniversary, cant describe how great the show was, not to mention the venue! Stifel was very intimate and not a bad seat in the house. Sound was also great!
Beautiful place nice acoustic. We saw blues artist there. Awesome show Joe Bonamassa.
Stifle/Peabody is a beautiful venue. Every seat has a good view and the sound system is great.
This is a beautiful theater with a long standing history in St. Louis. If you're afraid of heights or easily become noxious from going up high flights of stairs, you should book seating beneath the mezzanine Ievel. I love this theater that used to be called the Peabody Opera house, and the views and acousitcs are great from just about anywhere in the building. The refreshment pricing is what you'd expect for this setting and the architecture is gorgeous.
Very Nice Venue...not a bad seat in the house!
In general, I love this venue, especially if you're on the floor. The Mezzanine level however is very tight and steep. Great acoustics overall
I just didn't like it that much because I'm 6'4" and you do the "math". My body just doesn't fit...but it is a beautiful venue! If i could get a little more room then I'd definitely go back
Great concert venue with pitch perfect acoustics. Beautifully restored from the Kiel days with all its traditional elegance preserved. Only 4 stars because seating is ridiculously tight with even less leg room than coach class on an airplane. Got uncomfortable about an hour into Neeko Case's performance and even a good stretch before Ray LeMontagne started his set I was suffering by the encores. It distracted from enjoying two superb artists.
Very easy parking that's close by. Was able to get in and out very quickly compared to all the people that attended the Gabriel Iglesias performance.
This was a great venue for seeing my favorite artist Joe Banamossa and I hope he comes back soon!
Seats are very comfortable I really appreciated that, but there were no handicap ramps inside or out that I saw, I use a cane however wheelchair would be extremely difficult. Beautiful theater
Came for the first time to see Ghost, and it was a great night. The auditorium is gorgeous, and was quite surprised how well the acoustics worked with a band like Ghost. I hope to see more bands here in the future!
I was turned away by a metal detector wand lady because I carry a pocket knife. That's a pain. I returned it to my car.
This place is very pretty. Regular sodas are $5.50, large are $7.50. That's ballpark prices!
It's 7:45 pm. This 7:30 show hasn't started yet.
What a beautiful theratre!! Easy location. Parking was a little difficult, but ended up working out just great. It's hard to find good parking, for me anyway, in STL. Definitely somewhere I wouldnt mind going to see another event at. Staff was very helpful in assisting everyone on finding their seats and retrieving booster seats for kids. We sat on the left side towards the back and had no trouble at all seeing the show.
Very beautiful place. We saw Shen Yun. I wish if people were going to be late though that they make them wait till a break in the show. The people in front of us stood arguing over who would sit were. Then a large group came to my row and became it's so narrow I almost went backwards to row behind me. Elevators were taking forever so people in need had a very long wait. Show was absolutely amazing.
Absolutely gorgeous!
However if you're 6'+ tall it is incredibly uncomfortable as the seats are too close but sit entirely erect as if I was a robot for the entire duration of the show....
Clean bathrooms and beautiful atmosphere
Gorgeous venue with huge sprawling staircases. Big acts and small plays come here. Full service bars inside but it's massively expensive and since budweiser sponsors a lounge dont expect to have a drinkable beer. There is no permanently installed bike rack so you might have to ask where to lock up or just put it wherever. The beer and accessibility keep this place from 5 stars.
Loved this venue only complaint was there was only one restroom location causing there to be a line.
Beautiful Concert Hall great staff excellent place to see live music highly recommend they just need a few more bartenders
Beautiful theatre. Getting out after the show was a little rough. No traffic control at all.
Very nice theater, saw spamalot there and it was hilarious
Great sound and accessibility. Sucks to go to a concert and not have room to dance no matter how expensive the seats are. You bang your knees no matter what and that’s what keeps me from a 5 Star review because damnit I want to dance!
We mistakenly pulled into the wrong lot and the young lady gladly informed us that we were to park in the more prestigious lot Stifel Theatre! She held up her busy incoming traffic and allowed us to turn around and exit her overcrowded lot. We found our correct lot and the hands on polite, courteous and kind treatment was just an additional joy to our first visit! I came from Indianapolis, Indiana to see Neil DeGrasse Tyson.
Beautiful, well maintained opera house. Excellent venue for smaller events. Comfortable seating. Helpful staff. Multiple areas to purchase drinks so no long lines. I'll definitely be back!
Love this venue. Can't wait to see what I can attend there next.
the interior architecture and design is beautiful. The program we saw was wonderful. The seats were a little uncomfortable not enough leg room however all-in-all I enjoyed the experience
Saw fluffy at the Stifel... The building was still pretty good but not enough ushers to help find your seat
Saw Brit Floyd there last sunday. Just beautiful! Parking is close also. The only complaint I have...small soda and water was $14.!!!! I believe in a profit margin, but come on! I brought in a bottled water and had to throw it away when my purse was searched. Water? But I'll go back anytime a band plays that I like.
Beautiful architecture like the Fox Theatre, but more intimate. Marble staircases are very majestic!
Attended a D'Cappella show with opening act City Limits. Tickets at will-call retrieved easily. Sound was great, theater venue is stunning. Would absolutely go back!
This beautiful and historic venue is a great place to see those bands that really demand the quality acoustics that you just can’t get at an arena. The seats are comfortable and the staff couldn’t be more helpful.
I love the Peabody! The history and beauty of the building. Inside the building is fairly accessible. There are a few levels that do not have accessible restrooms, so taking the elveator to the correct level during a performance is a little cumbersome. Accessible parking can be found in the lot behind City Hall. The wheelchair ramp to enter the building is located on the West side of the building which is sometimes challenging for manual wheelchair users as most parking is on the east side and it is uphill to the ramp. Wheelchair accessible seating can be purchased on each level.
Staff were friendly and helpfu.
Amazing! We saw the Grinch musical. Valet parking was immediate and friendly. We had box seats and the musical was very well done. Outstanding actors, sets, theater....everything!
Excellent venue and acoustics.
I went and saw Hoizer perform there. I had my service dog there with me and none of the staff gave me any problems. The only thing that was mentioned about it was as soon as I walked in somebody walkie-talkied in, "there's a service dog in the building", and then showed me how to get to where I was going. Even the staff working the concert were extremely polite. I had a conversation with one of the security members about how I trained my service dog. She was looking for advice on how to train her pet dog.
Went to see Shen Yun. Incredible show. Will possibly go next year as they have a 🆕 performance every year!!!! …
Beautiful theatre. Went for a concert and it was super loud and muddy sounding when it first started, but the seats were still empty. Once people filled in the acoustics were great!
Always a great venue for a show. All of the staff from security to bar/concession area are always friendly and courteous.
The prices for food and drinks are outrageous but the place is beautiful and the show was good. It's worth it for a special event. I just wish the seats weren't so cramped and uncomfortable.
Beautiful and rich with details. We enjoyed the theater and the show.
Good place to see stars. Went to see Frankie Valli very good show keep going Frankie
Beautiful concert hall. We took our children to see DanTDM (from YouTube) and they loved the show. Comfy seats (we were in the pit area) and nice restrooms.
Great show but poor communication about policy changes.
Update 5/29/22: still poor communication for a private event but pleasant staff.
Great place to hear concert.
Wish there was some way to force entertainers to start show on time and control sound system.
Mariah Carey show was 80 minutes late
Show was good. Seats are a little cramped. Drinks are ridiculously expensive!
Attended a conference here, and the service was fantastic. The theater had great space available for the conference sessions, and the staff were helpful and courteous, even when I needed a space to take care of some medication.
Absolutely awesome! Saw Judas Priest and Uriah Heep tonight! Great classic theater. Very similar to the Orpheum theatre in Memphis Tn.
The building is well kept and clean. Seats are okay and I enjoyed the show.
Although the Peabody is a beautiful theater the one thing dampening my experience was all the staff telling me I could not have my phone out during performances or I would be kicked out. No pictures were allowed during the show. I was so afraid to take my phone out I just didn't the whole time.
Saw "Spam-A-Lot" with family;great show. My dad, who is battling lung cancer was out of breath and shaky from the walk into the theater. By the time we got into the mezzanine he was having trouble walking. The ushers allowed him and myself to sit in their chairs instead of having to get dad up the stairs to our seats. We had a first aid responder come up, he checked dad out and left an oxygen tank to use during the entire show. There was also a wheelchair and escort brought for use after the show. We are very appreciative of the service kindness exhibited. Thank you to the medic and staff Friday night who gave up their seats for our comfort and wellness.
Had a great time with friends seeing Kathleen Madigan! Awesome venue!
Just saw Dr Jordan Peterson speak at the Stifel Theatre and was exremely satisfied by the experience. The acoustics are amazing, service was friendly and fast, the seats and lighting were comortable, the aesthetics peaceful and pleasing to look upon and the parking close, cheap, safe and easy. Dr Petersons lecture was brilliant and thanks to the venue there were no problems hearing or seeing him. I would love to go back to the Stifel Theatre to watch a comedian or concert. It is an intimate experience.
Love going to the Peabody. Beautiful elegant building, good service people. Wide variety of entertainment. We saw Kathleen Madigan last night good show. I have one cmplaint. The show was supposed to start at 8:00 it did not start until 8:16. This is unacceptable. Start on time. People who come in late should have to wait in lobby until a pause then be ushered in. People who are on time should have priority. They may have other places to go and things to do.
David Sedaris was delightfully wonderful as he always is. The venue is beautiful and the seating well arranged, even the poofy haired lady infront of me couldn't obstruct my view. David (we're close like that) took questions from the audience for the last 10 to 15 min and it was just as amusing as his books.
They sold popcorn and drinks, though I didn't partake. Parking was surprisingly easy which is due in part to it being a Sunday (free meters!).
It was pretty awesome! Great size, not a bad seat in the house!
Been here many, many times, never disappointed. Great sound, comfortable seats. Range of concessions somewhat limited, but that's not what I'm going for, and it helps me save a little money.
Beautiful building. Lots of walking and stairs. Staff very accommodating and courteous.
Never disappointed when we attend shows here. We've been to Nick Offerman, Incubus, Alt-J, Beck, Hozier, Bon Over...to name a few. Every event was excellent at this venue.
Beautiful venue, amazing food in the private event area. The staff were amazing, especially the elevator man and Tiffany in the Peabody room. Impressive stately decor from yesteryear.
Its a great opera house. An awesome venue. But there are no drinking fountains. If you want something to drink its 6 dollars for a bottle of water. 10 dollars for a beer.
Was a good concert but I don't appreciate paying for seats to have the people in front of us standing up the entire time. Never could see the stage all night because of them.if that's the new normal I don't think I will be going to concerts anymore.
My suggestions for newbies below:
My God, I would give almost anything to work in this gorgeous place!! We were in St. Louis for the weekend and by pure chance, my husband noticed that Lewis Black was playing there last night. We decided that we would drive by and see if we could get tickets. You could never do that in back home in SoCal, but this is Missouri, so we gave it a shot. I dropped my husband at the front of the buliding about noonish on 4.15.17 and he walked in and bought two tickets, just like that!
I told him I wanted good seats and aisle seats if possible ,the the ticket lady told him that in this venue, all the seats were good ones and for the most part, I would have to agree.
The acoustics are marvelous and there are ticket takers/ushers to help you every step of the way. We were wanded with a metal detector when we first came in and my purse was searched.
There were plenty of mini bars set up and a couple of concession stands with the usual expensive movie/theater food.
The bathrooms are only on the main floor so if you are on the second or third floor, you will need to come down to use the restrooms but there are elevators...and there are bathrooms in the main bar, lots and lots of them, so don't get stuck on the main floor restrooms by the stairs.
There is a parking garage next door but there is also plenty of metered parking all around the front of the building. We arrived about 645 pm, parked caddy corner to the Opera House and didn't go in until about 730.
When we came out I noticed a couple of security officers, maybe Sheriffs, standing around the park where many of the folks parked their cars.
Although this is a very old buliding, the seats are generously sized and comfy, even for a grandma with a big butt like mine! There isn't much room to stretch your legs in front, but you can put them under the chair in front of you a bit.
All in all, it was a marvelous evening and we can hardly wait to go back...thank you #PeabodyOperaHouse, the night was awesome!
Ushers were disorganized and rude and even we paid for a full price ticket we were told they didn't have enough programs. Many of the people in the theatre did not seem to receive their programs either. Not a great experience.
Enjoyed the Paw Patrol Live show. Staff was really helpful and friendly.
Had a wonderful time but wish they would have had food..Only chips and popcorn
This place is beautiful. The venue is great. The Acoustics are amazing. No matter where you're sitting. It's a must see if you're visiting St.Louis
Great venue. The work they did to restore it is beautiful! Have been to a couple of concerts there, and the acoustics are very good. A very cozy atmosphere.
Went for a kids show. Place is wonderful. Only downside is that there were no changing tables in any of the bathrooms we went in. I feel like if you are going to have kids shows, you should probably have changing tables.
I was attending the Christina Aguilera concert on 05/6/18 and I had meet n greet tickets, whom ever the security guard was that was there at the box office needs to not have a job, I went to claim my wrist band & he blocked me from going up to do so & told I didn’t need to be there then when I showed him my online receipt he rolled his eyes, didn’t even give me a chance to put on my wristband before he was shoving me out of the area & wouldn’t answer any of my questions on where to go because they never sent me my confirmation email
