Love the location on W12th. The staff they have now r amazing (4/2018) just have to watch costs....hyvee carries many items for cheaper.... but if you pay attention 20$ can feed a 3 person family fer a few days

It's your standard dollar store visit. They're a strong three star because they do a really good job keeping their shelves stocked with a very minimal staff. Not only that but they have pretty much every basic household items you need available.

I like Dollar General, to be honest, for the $1canned ham I can buy. I have purchased it no matter where I lived, MS, ND, or now here, in SD. I tend to buy a lot of their canned goods in preparation for emergency situations. Yesterday, I downloaded the app and asked a question about it at the register. One of the ladies took the time to give me a quick tutorial on the app and suggested I upload coupons on Sunday snd Wednesday nights. The ladies were helpful with a man who was asking about cold and sinus medicine. He was foreign, so they asked him was the cold draining down his throat making it sore (with hand motions) or was he stuffy in his nose, and then they helped him find the best medicine.

They had a wide variety of products ata cheap price, however some of the aisles were disorganized. This made it hard to find things. Also if you want to access the bathroom you need to ask for a key which I found inconvenient.

Love the location on west 12th across from unclaimed freight!!! Whoever put this store here chose with a lot of intelligence! We need more options near the 12th and Valley View intersect but until that happens Dollar General has 95percent of whatever a person may need for a quick run to the store without spending Gas Station prices!!

Store itself isn't bad and the help is adequate. Selection is decent. They just gotta do a better job running off the lazy drunken beggars hanging around outside.

Aisles are very cluttered. Layout in general is kind of weird compared to other dollars generals. Had done trouble finding what I was looking for because there were boxes everywhere.
