Reviews of Tilikum Crossing Bridge
Wonderful , now iconic , bridge in the City of Bridges. This bridge is relatively centrally located on the southern portion of downtown waterfront Portland. Pedestrian and bikes /scooters./ e=bikes etc. only.
Max and buses use this bridge as well.
The bridge can be included in several walks , bike rides, scooter rides, jogs, one-wheel rides looping the Tillicum Bridge in with any of the other walkable bridges in Portland. Today I did the Tillicum-Hawthorne Bridge loop about 5 -6 miles on the route we carved out this morning.
Views of Mt. Hood and downtown are plentiful.
There are restaurants, coffee shops, and bars and taverns near the Tillicum.
OMSI is within an easy walk as well.
Ebikes and scooters are available at several points on any bridge to bridge loop.
Homeless tents and tarps and trash are not overwhelming in this area and safety should be OK in this part of Portland
Beautiful bridge over the river. Looks stunning at night with the lights. You can walk across and take in views of downtown Portland
Beautiful. Created some memories on this bridge that I'll never forget. Sunrise was unforgettable
A very nice location to exercise. You can only access by public transportation. Beautiful views. A great picture spot
Very cool bridge to walk across. It's pedestrian, cyclist and public transit only so not sketchy walking across at all. Check out mt good brewing on the east side for dope pizza
This is exactly how I imagine a modern bridge in a metropolitan: elegant with style, easy to recognize and differentiate from its older siblings; environmentally friendly and conscious, prioritizing public transit and self-powered commute. It's the most runner/cyclist friendly bridge in Portland and I always enjoy the view as I cross the river.
I LOVED IT! It was my very first time walking a bridge across water! I did it to conquer my fears. By the time I got to the end of the bridge, I was good! I really enjoyed it. When I went back across, I had ZERO fear. I even stopped to look at the boats & speed boats going by.
Very very good call for Portland. A unique and special bridge that adds beauty and is very useful. We love this bridge and interact with it whenever we can.
Such a beautiful bridge for whether is a stroll, run or bike ride across. Great view of the city & perfect for photos. I include it in my daily walk throughout the city.
Fun! Very clean and well taken care of. It was cool to see how many cyclists have crossed it too. Add one for the total passerby’s!
We road the bike we rented from Wheel Fun Bike Rentals (which I’ve also reviewed) over Tilikum Crossing. Being a four-seater it was a bit of a challenge but well worth it, once we reached the high point. But it was well worth it!
There are beautiful vistas of Downtown Portland, Bridge Town!
Also known as Bridge of the People, it is the largest car-free bridge in the United States. Which is a great symbol of the spirit of being eco friendly while creating functional convenience in transit.
Loved talking a slower intentional walk across bridge, enjoying the sights and spending time to read the information that is etched into the rails along the bridge about the chinook people and the meaning and history of the name Tillikum. The basalt art is easy to miss if you are aren't looking carefully. Hope to see more art there on the future
A bridge without cars! One of the highpoints of my October trip to Portland was walking across this bridge overlooking the azure waters of the Willamette on a warm Sunday afternoon. It was windy but it felt refreshing as we continue our stroll to the other side where there was a Starbucks that we had lattes and pastry. You can walk a across other bridges such as The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco but the traffic flowing past subtracts from the experience. Tilkum Crossing Bridge has no such issues.
I love this bridge. True city landmark with great views to the both sides of the city. Must see for any runners and bikers. The bridge has 6 "lanes" separated by a wall: 2 for bikes, 2 for peds and 2 for public transit. So make sure you take the right hand side of the bridge when you bike through it, because otherwise you will hit the incoming traffic. Great spot for pictures of the city and bikers/runners. So if you wanna get a great photo representing the vibe of the city, I would definitely go there. Also I love the counters of the bikes passing.
The Tilikum Crossing Bridge is a fantastic way to see the City form the water. The walk is relaxing and filled with a calming vibe as you cross the picturesque Willamette River. Plenty of shops and restaurants on either side to make a leisure day of strolling the East Side Promenade or South Waterfront. Love It!
Love this bridge, only for tram and pedestrian. It has great views of other bridges and south water front
Awesome Bridge Modern and sleek. It also has very wide walking and cycling paths and spectacular views of the Willamette.
It’s a pedestrian only bridge. Rode an ebike for the first time and what an exhilarating experience over this beautiful bridge! I think it was my favorite bridge in Portland.
Nice walk, but hot in June, with nice views.
This bridge is an amazing pass for crossing over the Willamette River for bike riders and walking enthusiasts alike. The middle of section is for buses and the Max light rail. What's so unique about it? It also changes colors in the lighting system due to the surrounding temperature in the river. Cooler temperatures like green and blue and warmer conditions the colors are oranges and yellows.
Great bridge, so beautifully constructed. Has bike lanes and walking lanes. A really nice way to watch the river and see the Portland skyscape.
We walked the bridge after dinner. It was nice not sharing the bridge with cars, just the occasional light rail train. Pedestrians have a separate lane from bikes. Compared to the noise on the eastbank esplanade it was chill. Relax and take the bridge.
Love the views as you cross over or from the paths along the bridge.
Absolutely one of the most stunning bridges I've ever seen. During the day it resembles snow capped volcano peaks nearby in the Cascades. At night a light show unlike any other.
The unmatched relief of taking a break from aggressive and absent minded drivers who make cycling dangerous combined with the delight of a cyclist counter, the max, well marked lanes, clear lights, and a great view of the city in either direction makes this not only my favorite bridge of bridge city but the best bridge.
Love the bridge and the views, but difficult to access if you don't know the area. Great because it has both a pedestrian and bike lane so you don't have so many collisions. Stopping at Cha Cha Cha or Greenleaf for a juice on the jaunt makes it an overall experience.
Quiet, peaceful, close access to public transit. The more pedestrian and cycling infrastructure the better
Truly a construction marvel. There's fantastic views of the entire city in every direction. And the evening is when the lights take center stage. The bridge will change colors based on the temperature outside, the water temperature itself, the flow of the current, and the depth of the Willamette.
I walked the bridge and took in the city of Portland from the water. A really cool looking bridge, very easy to walk across.
What a neat idea. How has this not been adopted nationwide?!?! The bridge offers beautiful views of the city and the river. #cityofbridges
Absolutely stunning cable support bridge. Was out with my boo enjoying a nice view after dinner. For us locals, the max line travels this and other bridges to link the different towns. Photos by Monica. A.
What a splendid place for a sunny stroll! The lack of cars is such a treat and the kiddos will love calling out “trains!” every time one goes by. A fabulous addition to the Portland skyline and should stand the test of time both aesthetically and structurally.
Great bridge with pedestrians and cyclists in mind. Take a stroll and enjoy the views of the river, Portland and bridge.
Walking bridge doesn't offer much else. There is really nothing else around here to keep you interested. We walked across and back, pausing to take pictures.
nice views of the river and both sides of Portland. Quick and easy walk
Bring a telephoto camera, the shots of everything from downtown to OHSU are fantastic. Sunset and nighttime shots are also amazing. Photos of Portland are obviously best on sunny days, so come in the summer, weather is perfect then.
Beautiful fun bridge to walk across or bike. Definitely very organized and greatly communication from the bicycles. Breathtaking views of the city. It is nice to have a bridge that is is car free to enjoy this. The train and city buses do drive this but the lanes are very well separated. Well done Portland
It is great bridge, with breath taking scenery, the large side walks make it great area for walking, jogging, biking, and or taking kids for a walk. The senic view is a must during sunset and at times at dawn.
A beautiful addition to the City, which contributes by connecting a vibrant East side to downtown and the west side waterfront for pedestrians, cyclists and commuters. The community has embraced this bridge since it's opening, with activity constant during most hours of the day. Walk Portland's waterfront - experience the beauty of the City.
What a fun walk from Omsi, over and back. Not too far and a view of the river you just don't get time to enjoy from a vehicle. There's a Starbucks on the East side, but we didn't locate restrooms. If you park at OMSI, go inside and pay ($5). Use the restroom then exit a side door onto the path leading to the bridge. In
This is my favorite bridge in Portland! It's the only bridge in the United States that doesn't allow cars to go over it. Only pedestrians and mass transit.
I started doing a thing I call my "bridge walking adventures" a couple of years ago. And because I live in Portland I walk over this bridge with people frequently.
I love the significance of the lights. Depending on what color they are tells you how cold the water is. There are also a few other factors that tell you how high the tide is and the current of the river.
It's such an amazing bridge!
Photographers mecca! Go at night! Lights projected on the concrete against the city skyline
Wonderful newer bridge crossing the Williamette River. This bridge is for public transportation and pedestrians only. High railings and great vistas of the river and up and coming South waterfront.
Coolest bridge in Portland. Best of all NO cars. Transit, walking and bicycles only.
Cool bridge but why so busy after 9 pm?
It’s a nice Scenic ride. Bikers and walkers are protected from tram by concrete wall.
Very awesome scenic views and great to hike
Love the idea behind the bridge and that a good number of people are actively using it for recreation. Hope it played an active role in reducing the number of private vehicle trips.
This is the most beautiful bridge I have ever crossed.
An impressive structure during the day, and magnificently illuminated at night.
Such a wonderful view! Just a warning I decided to ride one of the yellow "Bolt" scooters across the bridge, the bridge is a no go zone for those scooters so if you stop to take photos your scooter will lock and you will be charged $10 for parking in a restricted area. I recommend walking or bringing your own bike to cross the bridge
I love the look from across the way excellent place for scenic views and pictures.
Very beautiful bridge with nice views on the city
Spectacular bridge, fits well within the Portland ambiance.
Beautiful bridge, great views. Pedestrian friendly, no cars. Only trains, bikes, and pedestrians.
Great for fireworks, boat parades, walking, running, biking with an excellent view.
I enjoy walking across this bridge. It serves as a good connector to SW Waterfont shops and to the SE area surrounding OMSI.
Nice looking bridge (especially at night when it lights up). Lots of space to walk or bike across. Good view of the water.
Gorgeous river trails and one medium difficulty mountain trail with beautiful views of the valley. There has been talk of clear cutting swaths of redwoods within the park limits. Don’t let them destroy our beautiful nature preserve. Let your voice be heard and tell them we don’t want to lose our park!
Fantastic engineering solution and a rare opportunity for pedestrian and bikers to enjoy a nice walk on an area without cars.
A petty nice bridge to walk, it has a nice view of the city.
This bridge is beautiful. We happen to go early in the morning and it was really chilly and crisp outside. This bridge looks like it's part of some transit station and there was a train that went over the bridge. there were two lanes on both sides of the bridge that allowed for bikes and pedestrians
Tilikum bridge is bike and pedestrian friendly. Great way to commute from South water front to OMSI(SE Side).
I absolutely I've this bridge. At NIGHT OR DURING THE DAY ITS AMAZING EITHER WAY
Great views of Portland, peaceful walk. Highly recommend. Looks beautiful in the night with the lighting.
The Best Bridge in the entire Portland Metro area. You must ride the MAX, Tram, and your bike across if you are in the area
Nice place to walk. Need to take pictures during the night when the lights are on.
Beautiful smoky walk across the first of its kind bridge in the country
An amazing bridge to walk/bike/skate over or sail under. Clearance is plenty high where the water is deep. (Don't hug the western shore line it's way shallow) the bridge has colors at night that represent the speed and temp of water. The speed of the water flow changes the rate the colors flash. And the colors indicate the Temperature of the water i.e. purple for coldest blue for cold green for warmer orange for warm and red for hottest.
Established on September 12, 2015. This bridge feels like you're in a video game. It's picturesque. The west side of the bridge leading to the waterfront is beautifully remodeled as well. Take a sharp right after you cross the bridge (headed west) to cut into the new pathway leading to the waterfront. Note the evident and glowing green bike path. Stay right through the gate opening about a quarter mile down and check out the poetry beach area. Don't fall in love with Portland too much, haha!
Love this place. Three am is primo real estate, too many people otherwise.
Great walk across the bridge. Nice views
This is a beautiful bridge with wide pedestrian and bicycle paths.
Wonderful bridge for light rail, busses, pedestrians, and bicycles. They spent a tremendous amount of money building this bridge. It is worth using to check it out. Good view for pedestrians.
The future of transportation with bus transit, light rail, pedestrian and bicycle crossing with NO CARS. Choose the Jean Luc Picard Wondercrossing and MAKE IT SO!
It's a nice walk but there are train tracks in middle and no view
Great walk and views of Portland!!
Last night was beautiful. We went to the Winter Festival of Lights. No rain and the evening was very mild for February. We were able to cross both the Hawthorne and Tilikum Bridges. Tom McCall Waterfront Park and Eastbank Esplanade were packed with people. It was wonderful to see such a terrific turnout for the festival - the engineers, artists and performers. Hopefully next year it can be more than three evenings.
So beautiful and such amazing views.
This is a nice bridge to walk over. They don't allow cars -- only bicycles, trolley or foot traffic. There's a bunch of lunch trucks parked on the west side of the bridge so you can grab a bite.
Great view of the city
It's a fine bridge. Artistically and in functionality. It does the job it was built for. Though it's not enough. This town needs a bridge that crosses the river for motor vehicles as well as pedestrians.
Tri-Met wanted an exclusive crossing. We paid for it. But does the foot traffic eliminate any real traffic. No! Ridership is down, plane and simple. There is more waste then effective management of the way people get around. This bridge is the showcase of just how much we the people are willing to let go.
Socially distant approved. :-) there were scooters over by the OMSI side maybe they are on the south Waterfront side too. It's nice to just zip over to the other side and back. Stopping halfway added time to our ride. But hey $8 for fun and excitement :-) totally worth it.
Wonderful walk. No cars allowed on bridge. Only trimet public transportation, bicycles and pedestrians. Great views. Also, walking trail available on water front for both east and west side of river that will allow for walking down to next bridge if you like a longer walk (approx 3 mi.) and want to make a loop. Starbucks located on west side of bridge.
Still disappointed they didn't go suspension like the one and only St John's, but cable-stayed is so hot right now. Added advantages of being a bridge for the people (rather than cars), and the lighting scheme is literally determined in real time by the temperature and flow of the river. This bridge has eased some of my bike routes considerably.
I've loved this bridge since it opened...great place to take a long walk or bike ride because there are no cars (just mass transit in the middle). Amazing views of downtown, Ross Island and the river valley!
As with many things in Portland, this bridge started out with high appeal, then became increasingly tainted by criminal-lovers with spray cans. We're supposed to accept that these are the "good guys" while hapless police get bashed for keeping the city viable. The 3-star review is for the net effect of radical leftists, not the bridge itself. It summarizes the whole city since mid-2020. Note: The bridge's 12 wind turbines often have one at each end not spinning, and give a false impression that this form of energy is environmentally benign at a much larger scale in the country.
I live in the area. Love having a walking bridge nearby.
If you get a chance take a walk around the bridge on a sunny day. You can catch a glimpse of downtown and Mt Hood.
I walked this bridge and admired the view. It's a very peaceful sight. Traffic, however, is a bit spooky. It was as if I was drawn into it's flow. So, hang on to the railing when venturing over it. It is a cool experience.
Good spots to take pictures, but they didn't turn the lights on last night.:-( tried to Google when the lights are on. Very old updates, or apps links that didn't work
Stunning bridge in the middle of town. Never has bad traffic.
A beautiful bridge crossing the beloved Willamette River and only walkers, bikers, and riders on public transportation allowed. No cars at all. Walking east on a clear day you can see Mt Hood, Mt St Helen's and sometimes others too. Traveling west you see the west hills over looking the water front and the tram that takes medical personnel and tourists from the river to the medical schools and hospitals and the best view in the city.
This is a very cool pedestrian and public transportation bridge. They also allow emergency vehicles. This is one of the only purpose built hybrid pedestrian and public transportation bridges in the country. No cars, so no constant noise or vehicle exhaust.
It's clean. It offers stunning Portland water and skyline views. It is also illuminated an array of colors at night.
I really like the native american art and inspiration behind the name and published around and on the bridge. This is a must see bridge of the pacific northwest.
Great place to run or walk.
Great view of the city.
Great place in Portland to catch the sunset.
Like an island of quiet in the bustle of the city with great views
The design is very nice--standard Calatrava type bridge that you'll see all over the world, but hey, they're all pretty stunning. The view of mountains and rivers is great. And it's really cool to see the various modalities of mass transit that share the bridge with you--light rail, streetcar and bus. NO CARS ARE ALLOWED, so it is MUCH quieter than the other bridges, and there are no gross car fumes. At the western end of the bridge, there's a good coffee shop, and from there it is a short walk to the Halpern fountains
Very elegant shape. It's fun to walk over and get a view of the other bridges. It's also steep enough to be good for 400 meter hill repeats. Recommended. Would cross again.
What a wonderful new Portland bridge. Fun to ride or walk or bike over too.!
The coolest bridge I've ever walked across, weird as that sounds
This bridge should serve as a model to all future pedestrian Bridges across the country and frankly across the world! It is beautifully designed it is an amazingly spectacular and stunning piece of architectural art. I felt so proud to be an American and a resident of Portland Oregon as I rode my bike up and over this amazing Bridge. It makes you feel so good to be part of a community that encourages utilizing a bicycle or simply walking or maybe skateboarding instead of having to use a car which contribute so much pollution to the environment. In addition to all of the great environmental aspects that this bridge brings to the table, it is also just beautiful to look at the views of the river and the various downtown sections of Portland Oregon while crossing the bridge. Well I was crossing the bridge, I was even lucky enough to bump into a couple of school teachers on bicycles with their entire class and all of the kids had their own bicycles! It was a beautiful scene to watch the teachers speaking to the kids about how this state-of-the-art bridge is helping the environment and helping the people of Oregon to enjoy a clean crisp air without further pollution.
Spectacular! Took very nice walk across the bridge (and back) with some friends of mine and their kids. Wide, divided sidewalks (bikes and pedestrians) allows the feeling of safety while dozens of bikes cruise past. Completely separated from the lightrail and bus, and the crossing over to the other side (at the ends of the bridge) are well marked. Visited the "acoustic amplifier" underneath. nice spot, but the bike traffic if fast. We wondered if the sound could communicate to the other side the the west side underneath is closed...
Beautiful, Unique bridge. Free activity and worth walking or taking a Biketown Nike Bike. Lit up at night. Fun to ride across on streetcar/max as well.
Beauty meets function.
Walked the Tilikum at Festival of Lights since the west side line for the boat was super long. Love the availability of a bridge to cross to OMSI so easily. Good, wide walking path and drops you to either side of the river seamlessly.
This is a fun bridge to walk across and get some good views of the Willamette. Low traffic since its just public transportation and bikes and pedestrians. Me and some friends walked across after OMSI and went to the Starbucks in the big gray building on the west side.
I love Portland. The transit and bike friendly attitude is appreciated.
This bridge has great views, great vibes, and is an easy way to get in a quick walk or bike across the river.
Fancy new bridge not for cars. Pretty cool
No cars. Wonderful views of the river and the city. If you're visiting, take the Orange line to the bridge, then get out for the walk over the bridge. You can either walk back to the same station, or take the train back across. Plenty of space for both walking and biking.
A walkable bridge without the constant din of cars rambling by. Pedestrian and bike path on both sides of bridge well-separated from transit trains and buses and path is wide enough to do some mid-bridge gelling at the edge without impeding cyclist flow.. View of Portland skyline messed up by the marquam, but otherwise, this bridge is the best way for a bike or walker to cross the Willamette, with the Steel bridge coming in 2nd.
Digital counters of cyclist crossings in real time. Total Portland eco nerd happiness
Cyclist : Tillikum Crossing :: salmon : dam
a unique bridge that is a must see in portland. Its a fun but slightly strenuous bike ride or a nice walk for beautiful views of portland, the river, and the surrounding beauty of the pnw!!
One of the most beautiful bridges you will ever walk across and the views are genuinely unmatched. Neat bike counters as well that reset daily!
The only bridge of its kind on the West Coast of the USA, this is a beautiful example of what a transit only bridge can look like. A great place to bike or walk on a clear & sunny day (which in the fall & winter is a challenge), the Tilikum is a Native American language (Tilikum” is Chinook Wawa, an international language used by first Oregonians, and later spoken by explorers, fur traders, settlers and the first few generations of Portlanders).
Very nice bridge that crosses the water. You can walk, jog, or even ride your bike accross. This bridge belongs to tri-met so only tri-met vehicals can cross it. No public vehicals allowed. Very beautiful at night. The city site at night is breath taking. This is a must do and see
Beautiful bridge in Portland and great for walking, riding, and running across. Just wished there were more things to see, eat, or do at the end of the bridge on both sides.
Great place to view the sunset.
Beautiful pedestrian bridge (shared with buses and trams), well lit, and easy to see downtown and multiple other sites. Leads to a nice waterfront walkway on eastern side of the bridge.
Enjoyed driving my car over this bridge. Mine was literally the only car on it. Yes I did. I had Google maps on bicycle mode. Oops
Love this bridge! Watched the solar eclipse from there and it's a terrific vantage point with nice, wide sidewalks and plenty of transit options including bus, MAX and streetcar.
As a tourist nice place for photos
Great bridge! So happy my city get this done (even if i was a little low). I can only hope that we get more public transit/bike/walk initiatives in the city.
It's a wonderful scenic stroll
Amazing view of Portland and a refreshing brisk walk over the river to get the blood flowing near the PDX Opera House.
Beautiful place to ride without the worries of cars in a hurry to pass and then wait at the next light. Went with our 8 y.o. and she pedaled like a champ to the top with a view as the reward.
Nice bridge to ride/walk and take pictures.
Small bridge to cross. I was expecting a couple of miles each way but it wasn't... If my parents can walk it across and not get tired you know its short distance
Beautiful foot/bike bridge. Recommended at sunset. Don't get caught in the wrong lane. ;)
A rare opportunity to enjoy a river cross without constant vehicle interruption. Safe for padestrians, bikes and even scooters!
Nice pedestrian and Transit bridge. The colors projected at night relate to water flow, depth and temperature. Offers good views of downtown Portland.
Great place to take a walk. Commuter only bridge. No public bathroom nearby so be prepared for that. Wide pedestrian and biking paths for each direction
A beautiful ride in the evening when the lights are on. This bridge deserves to be visited in daylight and nite also. This bridge counts all traffic across it.
Yup, it works. Made it across the Willamette with ease. Highly recommended over swimming!
Take a walk across the Willamette. Cross to the west side from OMSI walk a bit south and hop on the OHSU tram. Ride up costs about 5 but ride down is free. Lots of good views from the hospital and a nice starbucks too. A great place to start a walk up through the hills even over to the zoo area. Tillicum is a fun start to a great adventure either side of the river you start.
This bridge is amazing! It's beautiful and at night lights up different colors I love it and recommend everyone see it at least once!
Beautiful bridge, it spans across water and keeps you dry when it doesn’t rain. You can walk across the bridge or bike. Or even take the MAX.
My favorite walk in pdx, dedicated to public trans and pedestrians. Watch river happenings and traffic grid that is off in the distance. Plenty to do on both sides of the river. Search out the Southeast Grind.
Most beautiful bridge in Portland! Wonderful for pedestrians and cyclists.
A scenic and easy walk through the Willamette River. Bikes are also allowed on the crossing. Offers great views of Portland.
Great views – a must see!
Ride a bike across
Pause for pictures
A bridge for the future
For cyclists and pedestrians
For bus and train riders
But not for cars.
Such a cool little bridge. Definitely worth walking or biking across.
Public buses or light rail means this spot is so quiet between the half dozen vehicles per hour, unusually quiet which is unusual of pdx w/ its I-5 running right on best re.
Great views of the city, no cars, and the confidence of knowing that of the bridges in the city, it's the most likely to withstand the earthquake that's predicted for our area. Maybe. Who knows? It's pretty though!
Bestest bridge in the world! Made my proposal here, and my divorce
Beautiful bridge meant for pretty much everyone except private cars. Great views, great options for public transit as well as a BikeTown station
Why would anyone not love a Bike/Ped only bridge? Very safe and super convenient. As an OHSU employee i ride over it every day!
So beautiful. This carless bridge has so many lights and the lights are controlled by the temperature, current, height and tide of the Willamette River. This is scientific poetry.
Great time riding your e-scooter!!!
The People's Bridge as it is sometimes called is the newest to provide crossing of the Willamette to pedestrians and the light rail. Unique is the algorithm that controls lighting where things such as traffic and current water temperature that correspond to a particular color.
Really nice looking Bridge. Although it is only meant for transportation on foot bike or trolley, it is an awesome View
We got to kayak underneath this and were informed that it's relatively new (which explains why it's so purty). Walking across it is even better. Absolutely beautiful!
One of the coolest bridges out there. It's only for pedestrian and public transit and it's lights change color with the river temperature, speed and level.
Great place to walk, although long, it's amazing! It's also good that there's a Starbucks on one side of the bridge, I recommend to go there afterwards if you are feeling tired.
When biking or walking across the lovely bridge with nice Willamette views be sure to stop for a bite or coffee 🚶🏻♂️🚴🏻♂️🏃♂️ …
A lovely bridge to walk over at night, with the different colored lights. Thank you, Portland, for investing in beautiful bridges!
Amazing bridge. I know that almost everyone loves this bridge, bikers and runners especially. Little bit of an odd location, but that can't be helped.
This bridge helped me get away from law enforcement officers, before going across I stopped by the donut shop at the base and bought some doughnuts as the officers waited outside, I ran out and they started chasing me again, so I ate a few and started throwing the rest at them one tripped and the other choked. The one that tripped started rolling down the other way as I finished running across and got away. Sure, it cost me a box of doughnuts but that bridge is a homie.
Starlight parade time! Tilikum bridge# #Wonderwoman
great pedestrian or light rail crossing over the Willamette river. Great for photo ops. Easy access to OHSU on the west side and easy access to OMSI on the east side.
It's really a perfect blend of functionality and architectural beauly. This bridge will gain fame and prestige as the decades pass, I think .
Hard to say I had a "great time", but definitely a great view of the river and downtown. Will get your glutes a bit when you jog up!
Great bridge. Just wish I had a reason to have it be a part of my commute.
Nice walk over the river. I was surprised as to the only traffic being trains and trolleys, bicycles and pedestrians. Interesting little factoids on the stainless steel railings.
Beautiful views of Portland!
A great bridge I walk across it on a daily basis. Also really beautiful at night lit up.
Great bridge for walkers/runners and bicylists since no cars allowed. Nice view!
The Tilikum Crossing is a bus/mass transit and pedestrian bridge only. It is very pretty and allows you to easily get from SE Portland to the SW Waterfront.
One of the best places to enjoy the night air in Portland.
This is a wonderful walk. If you don't like heights this may not be for you.
Absolutely an astounding structure! It's nice to have a very pedestrian, cycle, public transit only bridge in the midst of "Bridge City"!
This is a beautiful addition to Bridge City! It makes it much easier to get across the river to the South Waterfront district (and OHSU) and the west side of the city.
I really like architecture and structure of this bridge. It is one of my favorite bridge in Portland.
Beautiful look at the city at night, and the breeze off the river feels great too.
It's a nice walk, the view is good too. But a bit out of the way. I took a Lyft there, walked the bridge, and took another Lyft!

Beautiful bridge in Bridgetown. It's clean, looks nice, and as an added plus encourages public transportation, bicycling, or walking.

I love this beautiful bridge. When I walk over it carrying my harp, the wind plays it for me. 😂 …
I love Portland. It will always be home. Tilikum shouldn't be missed. Starbucks on the west end. Ride a bike across to do it right.
Nice walk, not many homeless people around it compared to most of Portland.
There is no showing of pedestrian crossings, which may help strengthen the aggressive nature of bikes within traffic.
The beach just below is my Portland happy place it is beautiful and makes the worries of the world melt away like wax from a candle
Men kind can do majestic things, still. Let's not loose sight of progress in the right direction.
Thanks to everyone that was involved in this project.
Intelligent idea to just have a crossing bridge in town for pedestrian. Stunning downtown view and fresh breeze of river.
