We loved our tour. We were there on a cool day without much sun, dress a bit warmer than you expect because of the water and moving. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions. This place is a hidden gem and we would definitely recommend. Even our 6 year old son had a great time!

The Desert Belle Cruise on Saguaro Lake is a golden gem hidden in the mountains northeast of Phoenix. The lake is situated in the Tonto National Forest and it's gorgeous!! The Captain and crew of the Desert Belle greet you warmly upon arrival and will help you to your seats if you need assistance. There is handicap accessible seating available, but I wouldn't recommend it if you are wheelchair bound, or have serious difficulty walking. (This is due to it being a ship - no fault of the crew). There is air-conditioned seating on the main deck, but it fills up quickly, so arrive early if that's what you want. Otherwise, there is ample seating on the top desk with a cover to block the worst of the sun. The cruise is approximately 80 - 90 minutes of pure pleasure. The Captain gives a great narration of the surroundings, mountains, landscape, wildlife and history. There is lots of wildlife in the area, but it is up to Mother Nature to allow you the chance to see some of it. Some days you get very lucky, others, the wildlife is all hiding. Luck of the draw. The vistas found on the lake are awe inspiring and worth the trip - even if you don't get to see a single animal. Overall - this is a very worthwhile trip to make for family, locals and tourists alike. Discount tickets are usually available through Groupon, Living Social and other sites.

Excellent day road trip from Tucson. Food is great at the restaurant and the 80 minute Desert Belle Cruise was well worth the time and cost. Boat staff was friendly and welcoming. Great narration from the boat captain as well. Everyone should go at least once. My husband and I will definitely be back for another cruise.

Clean and well organized. You have to arrive one hour before cruise and everyone must check in. Nicely narrated. Interesting and beautiful scenery. We did see a big horn sheep. Possible to bald eagles too.

Wonderful 90 minute narrative cruise. The captain shared history of the lake and surrounding area as well as pointed the popular spots like elephant rock and the cliff jumping rock. Perfect for a first time visitor and the regular visitor to Sarguro Lake in Tonto National forest..( no pass required)

If you're looking for something to do to relax and have a good time in nature, I would definitely recommend the desert Belle narration Cruise. It was so nice and relaxing and the crew was so hospitable. The atmosphere was beautiful and the information that they told us about the wildlife and different things about Saguaro Lake was very informative and interesting. If you're looking for something to do I would definitely recommend doing this tour.

A lovely way to spend the afternoon. Ken, Melissa and Billy were friendly, warm and inviting. Very courteous, knowledgeable and humorous. "50% usually guess what the front of the boat is called." The pics say it all with drinks aboard and yes, they have a bathroom.

Done this 2 years in a row for the navigation cruise. It's a fun idea for bringing people from out of state. Informative and funny way to learn about AZ. I've come in July and Sept... both very hot. Limited seating indoors in the fan and shade... but the views are outside on the top deck anyways. It's a nice time... especially with a drink in hand. (Drinks can be purchased on the boat but card only) On weekends the gift shop is open in the boat parked next door... it's nice to have a drink there and sit up top waiting for the tour

When you need a day off from hiking, this boat cruise is a great way to still enjoy some scenery with very little effort. They even have a bar on board if you want to liven things up! The narration cruise was great because there was good info but not non-stop talking. Bring you binoculars to scan for wildlife.

We enjoyed our cruise very much! We listened to the Southwest Surfers and relaxed while viewing the beautiful scenery including 2 eagles. Bring your binoculars, we wish we would have thought to bring ours.

Nice little lake cruise with either narration or live music.. they have snacks and alcoholic and soft drinks onboard for sale. You can see eagles,bighorn sheep,lots of water birds, Nice views. Great to take out of town guests on and only $25

I moved to Arizona in January of 2020. Never knew anybody here or even had been here. Because I moved here just right before the pandemic, sad time to move, the lakes have been an amazing escape for me. I can't tell you how many times I have taken this desert Belle Cruise since I discovered it in summer of 2020. I do it several times every year and I just got back from my first trip this year and loved it as usual. It doesn't get old. It doesn't get boring. I think it gets more beautiful each time I do it.

Kid friendly cruise( went with 4, 7,10 year old !) Senior friendly as well Lake saguaro is Absolutely beautiful, it took about 45 minutes from Scottsdale to get here, recommended place to go while visiting Arizona. The captain and crew were extremely accommodating. Ship itself had a rustic feel, but chairs were clean and comfy.

A GREAT TIME! Very fun boat crew that really made this cruise enjoyable, we got to hear Ian Eric play which was also enjoyable. Prices are extremely reasonable, staff was very helpful and the gift shop had lots of cool stuff. We would love to go again.

What a fun tour of the saguaro lake, with live music…the singer Eric was awesome and fun and so chill. We saw a mountain goat, the craft beer was delicious ‘ Prickly Pear, but they sold out it was a full boat.This is my second time doing this….great inexpensive short adventure highly recommended!

We did the Sunday 4pm Music Cruise. The music was fantastic. The views were beautiful. It was a very relaxing trip. They serve alcohol, soda/water and popcorn. Its a must!

Fun lake cruise even though we didn’t see many animals. The guide was knowledgeable and informative. The boat sells hot chocolate, adult drinks, soda, and snacks. You can sit inside or outside. Very beautiful scenery!

The narration cruise was awesome! Had family in from Colorado, and this was perfect adventure for the day after Thanksgiving! The crew, Billy, Madison and Captain John wee awesome! Captain John made all the difference. First time visitor from out of state. When the in-laws suggested a boat ride, I (internally) groaned a bit. How fun and exciting could a boat ride be. it was surprisingly informative. Learned more than I wanted and more than I would have guessed. Nice, smooth ride. No Dramamine required. it was HOT and sunny, so I recommend staying under the canopy. sites were beautiful. would have loved to have seen a Big Horn, that's the only downside. would I don't a second time? perhaps only on a themed (e.g. craft beer) voyage. but I would certainly recommend other to take the trip. two thumbs up

We went on the Craft Beer cruise, great views, live music, worth the $25 entry, alcohol for purchase, nice selection. You can bring on your own water. Would highly recommend, Arizona desert does have water !

What a great way to spend the afternoon. Came to visit Phoenix, decided to do something different and found this wonderful boat ride on the internet. Not too hot, not too cold, just perfect today. Definitely would recommend it, and will definitely do it again if I'm ever in the area.

I took my 18, 12, and 6 year old. All of them enjoyed this scenic tour around the lake. We sat outside on deck chairs. It was sunny, but breezy while ferry was moving, it was nice. All employees were very nice, and attentive. They sell snacks, and drinks in there too.

Cool views. Only problem is if you’re on the top deck towards the back, you can’t hear any of the narration. If you want to be able to hear the stories, sit towards the front or on the bottom deck. There’s was tons of drinks and snacks onboard as well.

This was cute idea for family on a regular weekend with no plans and unsure what to do! The only thing was that their website listed that they would be playing 90’s rock/ pop when they actually played anything but 90’s, that was a bummer due to reserving that day especially for that.

I took my mother in law out with my wife for a special ride. Captain Ken was a great at the helm and mic. Johnny Splash was rocking the hits. We saw sheep and eagles on a wonderful evening.

Our friends booked us a tour on the Desert Belle and none of us quite knew what to expect. Flat boat, flat lake, flat desert! Well, the boat is flat but looks somewhat like a Mississippi paddle wheel without the wheel. Of course the lake is flat. However, the topography is stunning!! Hilly, with high peaks filled with cactus and some sightings of Eagles, in a tiny outcropping of a ledge and mountain goats climbing what appears to be straight up the wall of the peaks. Our captain was a fountain of history, knowledge and wit. You must try this cruise out, then afterwards have a meal at the restaurant just up the hill from the dock next to the parking lot, good stuff!! Don't forget to bring your binoculars if you have them.

You normally don't get what you pay for these days, but with this Cruise you get WAY MORE! Took a large group out on a weekday. Enough room to sit up-top on the covered deck or below in the ac with big windows all around. The narrated cruise is packed with history and humor from departure to docking. There is a huge variety of drinks on board to fit every palet as well as snacks and fresh popcorn. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. Hence why you should bring some cash for a tip. Be sure to grab the DVD they offer at the end. What a great cause and a fantastic Cruise. Almost don't think you're in Arizona but that beauty made it all the more amazing. Glad it is here in Arizona so we will be back soon!

Cruising on the Desert Belle was AMAZING! We sat on the upper level where we could enjoy the gentle breeze. Captain Mike was VERY informative. I felt like I needed to take notes he knew so much! He wasn't borning and balanced his narration with musical breaks and JOKES! Gina (who was part of the boat crew) was attentive and sweet. She served different drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), as well as delicious popcorn and other tasty treats. My hubby and I THOROUGHLY enjoyed ourselves, and when we return to Phoenix, we WILL visit again!

I was on the Desert Belle again last weekend for their live music cruise with Moon Dog. The views never disappoint and you see something different each time. I've seen eagles, but this time I saw a male and female big horn sheep! I love the seating options with lots of outdoor space. Great prices on drinks, the roof retracts for ultimate views. The view of Four Peaks are always amazing! Sometime Moon Dog will have guest singers! How fun! The drive out to Saguaro Lake is just stunning.

All I can say is wow! Historical narrator (the Captain of the ship) was excellent. The restaurants at the dock was amazingly good, don't be afraid of the birds if you eat outside, they'll wait until you leave before getting a snack on the ground😄 I will post my pictures soon.

It’s a great time and a terrific activity for out of town visitors. The music cruises on the weekend are especially fun. Note that kids are allowed on the regular cruises but NOT on the music cruises. Very reasonable cocktail prices so you can get lit to great music with wonderful scenery. There is a lot of wildlife and remarkable landmarks that the captain will point out during your journey.

Nice little narrated boat tour of the man made Saguaro lake, as well being able to see only those things a boater would be able to view navagating amongst the rocks. The boat was covered up top and then below there was an enclosed air conditioned area (where most of the people chose to sit), we chose up top and walked around to different sides to see all we could. I would recommend if you are in the area, nice 80 minutes to spend in the day. They serve snacks and drinks below, but don't be like the people I mention below and spill popcorn all over while attempting to eat it and leave trash all over... ***One recommendation I have for the tour is for the narrator to please ask disruptive people to move or to be quiet. On our tour (09/01 @ 12:00) it seemed to be a photo op pretty much the ENTIRE time for a group of 5 people, non-stop pictures/posing while one person talked on her phone 85% of the time, it was beyond annoying.

Such a fun experience! There were 6 of us, 4 adults (one of which is 18), and two small children 4 and 5. Everyone had an amazing time! Don't hesitate on going, just do it. We were able to schedule an evening cruise (6pm) same day. We got there a little too close to 6pm and ended up in the seats on the bow of the boat, but to be honest, they were the best seats in the house!! All of the seats are folding chairs so be prepared for that. You are able to get up and walk around the boat though. The stairs leading to the upper deck are steep. But the seats were spread out and good views all around. There is a snack bar area which is a little pricey, but they don't allow outside food/drinks. Make sure to bring cash for tips.

Very pleasant boat tour of Saguaro Lake with a live narration of the history of the Lake, area and Arizona. Friendly and helpful staff brings snacks and drinks. Upper level is open air, the lower level is enclosed with air conditioning. Bring your camera or cellphone, the views are stunning.

We enjoyed the semi-narration as well as the guitarist/singer who happened to be on the upper deck where we sat. It was a beautiful day, however, it was hot yesterday; 108. We would definitely take this trip again but in cooler weather.

Loved this cruise! Went on a day trip out from Scottsdale. It was easy to find and inexpensive and we had PERFECT weather to go out on the lake. Our captain/tour guide was informative without talking too much, we got nice views all the way around the lake, fairly priced snacks and drinks on board. Plus we got to see the bighorns and a bald eagle through the course of our cruise. Highly recommend Desert Belle Cruises.

My family was thrilled when I told them we were doing the Desert Belle Cruise again. This time it seemed even better. It was a hot day, but the bottom deck is air conditioned. You can get popcorn, chips and other small snacks along with water, soft drinks and a little alcohol on the boat. The captain was very friendly and pointed out many nice features around the lake. My daughter saw an eagle and we all spotted a bighorn sheep posing for us. The upper deck is open but covered and the breeze made it comfortable. Note that the stairs are steep. there are tables downstairs and only seats upstairs. The upstairs is quite popular. You can move around the boat as you wish. The 80 minute trip was fun. whenever I thought we reached the end of the lake we’d turn down another canyon. We all plan to do this again. people were pleasant. There‘s a nice little gift shop on the boat next door. We had lunch at the restaurant on the shore called Shiprock. Service was very good. My salad was average but the rest of the family was happy. Go. It’s well worth the drive and isn’t too expensive at $25.

Purchased tickets on Groupon for something new to experience and it was amazing! My husband and I had a great morning start and was worth the drive from Tucson. We took the live music cruise and there wasn't a lot of people on board (which I prefer) because it was a hot day already. Not much in the wildlife area to spot, but the scenery was gorgeous. We look forward to doing this again in the cooler months.

This is a nice boat tour on one of the reservoirs on the Salt River. The presentation by the captain is easy to listen, even if it's factually flawed. They do serve drinks and other refreshments onboard, however a card will be required for payment. If you don't have time to rent a boat, this is a great option to explore Saguaro Lake. That they serve groups well is a plus!

I would not have purchased tickets if I knew the air conditioning wasn't working. Sweltering day! Paid for a "narration tour" and there was no narration. We went back again yesterday 11/9/2022 and everything was great. Would highly recommend it!

An excellent little gem in the middle of the desert, a very good deal at $23 per adult. They sell drinks on board for a very good price as well as snacks. The day we went on it was 5:30 PM cruise and there was Ian Eric a local singer and he was very entertaining. Lots of comfortable seating. Parking is free. Definitely worth checking out when you’re in the Phoenix area.

A wonderful, relaxing cruise of Saguaro Lake. Captain John shared so many awesome facts about the area, and he was very funny! The crew was friendly. The scenery was really beautiful. You can purchase light snacks and drinks below deck. We sat on the upper deck, which was covered for sun protection. We purchased tickets online, but you can purchase when you arrive. Our cruise sold out so arrive early to get in line for best seats upon boarding.

What a great cruise! The scenery was beautiful and the captain had a ton of knowledge! It was a super hot day so we appreciated the cooked cabin downstairs and the breezes in the open air top deck. There were some beers and drinks available for purchase, and the prices were reasonable. There were some limited snacks too. My kiddo got to steer the boat for a few seconds and it made for some great photos!

Very much worth your time and money due primarily to the great crew and captain. My group of seven took the 90 minute narration cruise which ran from 2:45 to 4:15. Weather was perfect. Saguaro Lake was full of sport boats and jet skis. The Captain gives the lake and geology narration and it's detailed and very interesting. For our tour I purchased both the preferred boarding option (an extra $5 per) and the "desert deal" option for an additional $9 per person which gives you a choice during the cruise of either two snacks, cold beers or a small bottles of wine. The preferred boarding option not only lets you board ahead of others on the tour but also includes one snack or drink, including alcoholic. Seating is arranged on the main and the upper level on plastic chairs that are comfortable. Chairs are in rows of 4, so I do not suggest spending the extra $5 on preferred, because every seat has a good view. Regarding the snacks, I would not buy the snack ticket again unless everyone in the group was using the tickets on beer or wine. That's because the snack prices average $3.

What an amazing cruise!!! Our captain had so much knowledge to share on the Salt River. He was very articulate, well versed and had some great jokes. I love a guide that knows how little/how much info and facts to add to the tour. He always gave us enough time to enjoy the beauty on our own and also adding more knowledge and history which I love! I highly recommend doing this. The boat also has an awning on the top that they can bring in so that you can see just how giant the rocks around you are as you go by but also put back so that the sun isn't hitting you the whole time! So many beautiful views and a great time.

Our family decided to go on the 12:30 cruise on Sunday 3/24, and my only regret is that we never did it sooner! The temp was 80, the Arizona sun was warm, and the breeze off the lake was cool. The entire cruise takes 1 hour and 30 mins, and everyone in our family of five, from age 8 - 75, absolutely love the experience. Although we have lived in the Phoenix area since 2005, the guide was so knowledgeable, we all learned lots of new facts about the lake and surrounding Tonto National Forest. If you are a resident of the great state of Arizona, or just visiting, make sure to put a cruise on the Desert Belle on the top of your list!

Absolutely worth every penny. The boat was very nice, we had perfect weather, and our captain/ narrator was top notch. We learned the history of the area, along with interesting facts about the desert. We saw lots of eagles and several mountain goats. Highly recommend.

I did this cruise for my birthday and I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant way to spend it. The lake is beautiful and the tour narrator was really good about pointing out wildlife, interesting geology, and history. I will say a lot of people bought priority tickets so if you want to be first on the boat you might want to get one of those. But it wasn’t a problem when I went on a Sunday.

My family and I got to go on a special cruise with Santa on Dec. 10! It was an awesome time aboard the boat while drinking hot cocoa, eating popcorn and snacking on cookies with Santa. We even got to see a Bald Eagle, Bighorn Sheep and learned all about the area from the captain. Highly recommend this cruise! It's super relaxing as well!

The biggest return, I EVER had for the cost of a ticket. I have lived less than 20 miles from the ride for 40 yrs and shame on me it was my first ride. Having said that they need a lot of improvement for the Handicapped customers. First there are a series of VERY steep steps to get to the boat. AFTER the ride, I learned from the crew there was a "ramp" which at best was the long way around. It also was a floating narrow walkway over the water that moved with the waves with no railing.

We had a group of 4 people and were treated to an excellent 80 minutes of relaxing sightseeing journey of Saguaro Lake and a very informative history lesson as well.

True Myth

Narrator was very hard to hear on the lower level. Air conditioning either stopped working or was turned off on the ride back. If you've got little kids this is probably not the best idea, as you're trapped on the boat for 90 minutes plus however long you have to wait in line and wait to launch after boarding. No real food on the boat, only snacks, and they say you can't bring anything but water so you're forced to buy their overpriced stuff. The view was nice but I probably would say that one trip is enough for a lifetime.

Great tour! Lasts about 2 hours. Indoor/outdoor seating available. Local beer/wine available to purchase. Conversations among others during the tour is encouraged to keep to a minimum for those around you to listen to the tour. The tour guide mentioned their biggest complaint is people talking during the tour, however, I recommend sitting next to a speaker to listen better, or hopefully more speakers are installed throughout. Fans & restrooms are also located inside the boat.

The boat tour was a welcomed respite from hectic city life. The tour guide left a lot to be desired. His commentary was sparce and weak with long intervals of silence in between commentary. I'm not sure we got our money's worth when it came receiving interesting information about the terrain and the history of Arizona. But if all one is looking for is a relaxing boat ride, then I suppose this would be okay.

This was a great way to entertain out of town guests! We learned some great Arizona/lake history and were able to scope out some great camping areas for our future family trips. Captain Mike was entertaining and Kennedy was attentive to our food and drink requests. Views were great, parking lot was easy to get to and easy to find, ticket pricing was great (we purchased diaco coupons year ago). This was a great value per person. Would definitely do this again!

Wine cruise and music entertainment was awesome. Was sad for a wonderful experience to end in such a negative manner. We had taken an uber there and booked one for our pick up. Driver didn’t show up and the maintenance worker said it was unlikely that uber would come out at that time, and that this happens often. We were stranded in the parking lot with no transportation home. We asked the captain if he could assist us and sadly did not follow through with any positive suggestions, other than we could try walking to a hotel. There was no hotel in site and definitely would not be in walking distance. Fortunately a kind young woman ended up driving us to Scottsdale and we were able to uber back home. Needless to say we were very frustrated and disappointed in lack of help , especially because this happens often. The cruise company should have a post on their site making it known that Uber doesn’t drive out there for pick ups.

We took the narrate cruise and it was funny, relaxing, and enjoyable. They serve hot chocolate, alcoholic additives, popcorn, and other snacks. They only take credit card for those things. If you're looking for a great way to spend time with the family, this tour is it.

Opted for the Wednesday afternoon Wine cruise. Bording was fairly quick and easy based on your check-in time. Even though this was a 'Wine' cruise it appeared that all mixed drinks and beers were available. Single musician was on board playing nice music whi h was not too loud. Great relaxing experience. Had lunch at the adjacent restaurant which was fairly good with great service.

We live in Tucson and come up usually once a year for a boat cruise. Desert Belle is comfortable, scenic, fun and relaxing! The captain and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time and enjoyed access to indoor seating downstairs and shaded cover seating upstairs to get a whiff of that lake breeze. Definitely a fun activity for out of towners and locals alike! Makes you feel like you're not on Arizona for a second, and May is a great month to go.

Scenery was beautiful. Only 3 stars because very rude passengers opened the window in the air conditioned area and refused to close it after 3 passengers asked her to close it. Captain Ken needs to tell passengers to keep the windows closed in the air conditioned area. Many of us were uncomfortable and this person just snickered at us. Initially, I thought this would be a nice ride but this obese Karen made our ride miserable.

We were welcomed aboard without any issues. 😃 The captain and 2 ladies who served the passengers seemed to really LOVE what they do. It was a beautiful day and just the right ride length as well. Would recommend for a relaxing quick trip with beautiful scenery and tons of knowledge from the captain.

We sat on the upper deck which was covered, and it was very clean. The only snafu was that the boarding passes were out of order, so we did not board the boat in the order we checked in.

Some info during the cruise was great. Some of it was less than average. Some of it was a little repetitive. Overall, a good experience. Incredible scenery & wildlife, executed well, and very clean. Biggest complaint. Don't encourage passengers to check-in 30-60 early, and have no staff to check them in. Then, passengers who want to follow instructions, are standing around waiting in all types of weather. Plus, if you have a staff person there to check in passengers 50-60 mins before, they can spend money at the restaurant on quick meal, snacks or drinks. Better organizing and more staff would lead to more revenue for all. The whole experience was diminished because a bunch of people were forced to wait around. Sign should have been posted: No Staff available until 1230 cruise comes back.

I have noticed the Desert Belle sitting at the dock for close to 50 years - each time I visited Saguaro Lake since I was in Jr. High School. I had never actually taken the cruise - but yesterday afternoon - I finally stepped on board. I LOVED IT! We saw not only the gorgeous cliffs and rock formations that are part of the spectacular beauty of the lake - but also had sitings of eagles, longhorn sheep, and a blue heron! The captain was incredibly knowledgeable. My family brought me to Arizona 55 years ago - when was 11 - so I thought I knew a lot about the state - but I learned so many new things from his narration! He was funny and I enjoyed his music selections. The crew was friendly and helpful. The icing on the cake for me would have been 5 minutes when there was no narration and no music - just to experience the beauty in relative silence - but that did not prevent me from totally enjoying the experience. Thank you to Desert Belle, her captain, and her crew for a truly exceptional afternoon on the water!

We had an awesome time on a dinner cruise with Captain Geno and his crew. The captain has been on Saguaro Lake for 30+ years, so his knowledge of the area and wildlife is encyclopedic. The cruise around the lake was honestly a very beautiful experience. Topside it was a little chilly, but the views were spectacular and the crew served us some hot chocolate to keep us warm. Inside the cabin was warm and inviting and the crew were exceptionally polite. This time it was just my wife and I, but next time well take our son as well. It's really a great experience and the price is beyond reasonable.

This tour was great! We did the Wednet wine and music. Music was nice, views spectacular, and even tho the temperature was 100, the breeze on the top deck made it quite comfortable. Highly recommend this for a fun afternoon.

Such a beautiful ride and captain Gino was an amazing guide. A few people on board gave him a hard time and weren’t the nicest and he handled the situation with such class. We had a great ride on the Desert Belle Cruise! There were 3 of us and enjoyed the cruise around the lake and the information shared by the captain and other members of the team. The weather was great as usual and the boat was comfortable. There is so much information about how the lake was formed, landscape, the animals and of course we cannot forget the cactus'! So much to learn! I would like to return again and will make more time to hike around to see more of the landscape. Certainly worth visiting!

The trip was perfect. We got to Saguaro Lake early anfmd were the first in line to board the boat, allowing us to choose any seat we wanted. We took the first two seats on the top level, right next to the pilot house. Captain Geno is very knowledgeable about all things related to the lake and about the Sonora Valley. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and changes from one end of the lake to the other. We highly recommend this adventure. It is wonderful.

Absolutely Amazing!!! Captain John is hilarious and has jokes for days.. my wife and I took our 6 children for the 12:30 tour and had a blast the staff was amazing.... Captain John during the tour gives educational facts about Arizona and our wildlife.. I have been an Arizona Native for 28 years and learned new facts. I definitely recommend taking the tour for a family outing out on the water... A+++.

A great value for information about the lake, climate controlled area, (a/c), for people who don't want total sun. Drinks are reasonable on the cruise($4.50 for beer) and the staff, Diane, captain Ken, and all the staff were exceptionally friendly and inviting. Would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!

My family and I did the 5pm cruise with live music. Crew and captain were great and the views were beautiful! My only complaint were people standing around talking loudly by the stairs... making it hard to enjoy the music and take photos. Please people, don't be rude. Take your pictures and then take your seat! Don't stand in people's way, chatting it up and blocking the view! 🙄

The boat tour was awesome and the lake is beautiful! I went for my birthday. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a great personality. The only down-side was the plague of little green bugs that swarmed the boat for the first five minutes of the tour, but they disappeared once the boat got away from the dock for a while.

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and provided a variety of facts of the area. They also have a decent priced drink and snack menu to choose from while cruising. There is seating on the top deck as well as below deck. If you have preference I suggest to get there early as seating does fill quickly. My favorite is the deck off the stern of the ship, the only drawback there is you cant hear the narrative.

Have no pics to share but myself and party of 5 truly enjoyed our selves.The captain with his comedy was pleasantly humorous along with the one man band entertainment with his great taste in classic rock and roll.I do apologize in not 100% remembering guitarists name(Eddie?)but he is a local.This was my first time experiencing a boat cruise and would highly recommend it for ya"ll to try.As an adult group we took the craft beer and music cruise.The staff was pleasant and consistent.I personally am not a beer consumer but they had plenty your most famous basic cocktails to choose from.The sights are beautiful although we did not get to see any long horned sheep or eagles due to our bad timing but it was beautiful,relaxing and breathtaking.The captains name that day was John,he was able with his comedy and soothing voice to set the mood for the cruise not too mention his strong attempt and commitment to his passengers to find and point out the animals and sights too share with us was impressive.He truly enjoys his job and was good at it.Thanks again Desert Belle you will see us again. Now onto a dinner cruise on the beautiful lake of Saguaro in Mesa Arizona.

I'd recommend this activity for 0-100 handicap accessible as well kids 0-13 are required to wear a life vest. They offer event cruise as well and have several theme cruises planned. I was hoping for something a little more interesting than just a pleasant boat ride on the lake, but that's what it was. Boarding was to take place a 1/2 hour before departure but it didn't happen until 5 minutes before departure. Yes, the boat had returned well before the scheduled boarding period. The ride was comfortable, the boat was pretty nice. The crew was there at request. The drinks and food of course were steeply priced. Worth the trip 1 time for me, at most.

Wonderful experience, Captain Ken did a good job with the narration and then l got a good Samaritan through the Ticket lady who l have forgotten the name,shame upon me,She's an angel on earth. So l was stranded coz there were no ubers to take me back to the hotel and she called her husband to come take me,can u imagine? So the husband came with the son and they drove me all the to town at no charge yet they live that side of the cruise. God bless you beautiful lady,your husband and son,wonderful people. Our ANASAZI RV club thoroughly enjoyed our 4 pm Boat Cruise Friday afternoon April 30th. It was a great way to enjoy a warm Friday afternoon together in the Desert. The band Moon Dog lended great entertainment with songs we could sing along with and many in the group enjoyed getting up and moving with the music. It certainly will be one of those memories that our group will treasure, enhancing the reasons we continue to belong to such a fantastic group of friends. Really nice trip, excellent captain with interesting narration. The only recommendation would be to hand out the large umbrellas before, not after checking in. It took a long time to get checked in and many of use, including several elderly guests had to stand in the very hot sun without any shade.

It was a Bucket List Experience. We did the Sunset Cruise with the live music. The music put the cruise over the top. A unique place in the world and a must visit. It was relaxing and the staff were so informative. Note: You may not get cell service so get a map, print a map, or memorize the way back like we did. Enjoy, well work the $25 pp charge to us.

Sincerely enjoyed the entire cruise. The staff were very friendly. The captain John looks like Mcdreamy on Greys, so that didn’t suck. Very scenic and enjoyable. We had a 1.5 year old and 6 year with and both enjoyed their time. They offered a DVD of drone footage and professional photography for $5 of the trip, all money from the sale goes to a local charity that helps kids with potential life limiting illnesses. A must see cruise in AZ.

I left messages via Facebook, email, and phone and no response. We were scheduled at the end of this month for a scenic cruise and are not traveling due to what is going on right now, but would have liked a refund or even a credit for next time but no response. Guess keeping $55 dollars is more important than providing good customer service and getting repeat business or a good review. EDIT: Once I wrote a public review, I was contacted and offered a refund so appreciated that.

Very beautiful adventure. We were on the music tour. The musician took requests and unfortunately the requests were mostly country. We saw huge hawks and bighorn sheep. The lake was busy for Spring break, but everyone was friendly. The only downside was I was unable to secure the tickets over the phone (I couldn't get through) and they were nearly sold out when we got there. We had to wait and see if the party of 35 showed up.

A relaxing little boat ride through the lake. Snacks are available. The restaurant near by is nice to relax and enjoy a bite. It's a little hard to access if you are mobility impaired but do able as you just have to go a little way down to get on the dock without stairs. Very limited disabled parking and no wide van accessible spots.

OMG! Beautiful views. Saguaro lake and the Desert Belle cruise boat are a Hidden Gem just a few miles outside Phoenix. 90 minute cruise is perfect amount of time to see Canyons Eagles, bighorn sheep and lots of birds. They narrate and tell you some of the history and it is a very relaxing Cruise. Highly suggest you take relatives on it when they come to town. They have alcohol as well as popcorn snacks and sodas. Make a day out of it and eat at the Lakeshore restaurant afterward.

Great tour experience. Staff professional and knowledgable about the area. Cost low enough to warrant taking the tour for just about anybody. If you can put your phone down for a bit, you will enjoy the experience. If you can't put your phone down for 5 min, buy the DVD slideshow of the lake and transfer it to your phone or "the cloud" as you ignore the rest of the hemisphere whilst you complete the rest of your trip.

If you’ve never been on a boat before maybe you’d rate this experience higher but I cannot. The lady at the booth was a brat for no reason. We arrived early with tickets already purchased I couldn’t understand why she was so short with us. Foldable chairs up top, pretty crowded if your a regularly sized person.

We had a fantastic time at desert Belle cruises. My fiance and I got to see some wildlife. We never expected to see water in Arizona. There were a lot of water recreational activities to do as well.

Entertainment BOGO coupon made this an economical, enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours touring this lovely 10 mile desert reservoir with a history and diverse wildlife. We saw an eagle at the summit of a rocky hill. Nice activity for pt of town guests or anyone looking for a reasonable way to see some beautiful landscape.

Actually Nobody check your tickets. Actually there is no tickets at all. Even nobody ask you about that. But the prices are low only $25 per person. No drink or snack allowed on the boat. nice Captain , Nice trip.

Fun , informative sunset Cruise. It is a bit overpriced, but is a traditional experience when visiting the area. Be sure to bring your own drinks and snacks as they serve only popcorn and candy and alcohol

It was quite fun, the only thing I wish my girlfriend and I did was close a different time of the year, the wait for check in was really hot, if you do this during the summer, bring a umbrella, then pay the extra for preferred seating. Sit in the bottom floor.
