Reviews of Arizona Boardwalk
What a great immersive experience, nice collection of attractions and shops centered around a beautiful courtyard! Something for everyone and you can easily spend a day here. The food is pretty good too, lots of hands on and fun things to see. Beautifully landscaped, perfect for the family!
You can come walk around for free, but plan to drop a lot of money if you go inside anywhere.
All the places look like fun and you could spend hours (and hundreds) here QUICKLY!
If your kid can read and you don't want to spend money, I would avoid it. I was able to get away with it because my toddlers enjoyed the art fair that was set up and all the statues around the boardwalk such as an UFO and gorilla.
Aquarium, butterfly garden, alien experience, dinosaur experience, bounce/play place, arcade, etc.
We had a nice time. The free places were nice for families with children. As seniors, we would have liked to attend some displays, but at $20/adult and up (UFO, etc), it's not reasonable for many.
Great group of attractions, though it seems the pandemic has removed some vendors.
There are multiple venues/ items for children and adults of all ages. The food selection is limited. It works for a small lunch but we choose elsewhere for dinner which was fine as most of the locations close before 6.
The bundle packages make the trip a more reasonable expense. We will go back to revisit and experience the exhibits we didn't on the first time through.
Super fun day for the kids. We came for the meet and greet Elsa/Anna, snow and bounce houses. The kids had a blast and It wasnt over crowded. We did have a really long wait for food at Johnny Rockets but understood staff shortage causing the strain. They did a great job with the limited resources available.
Really great immersive experience for adults and children. There was so much to do and see at the boardwalk!
We bought the bundle pack for the Aquarium, Butterfly habitat, Maze, and Ripleys believe it or not!
Paid about $190 for 2 adults for all 4 experiences, well worth it! So much to do and see at each place !
It was a bit expensive for what it was. But enjoyed the experience. 3D butterfly movie was fun, gift shop has some cute things as well. And the butterflies I enjoyed especially if you find the right place to stand... They basically come to you!
Great place in the winter... Not crowded or a bunch of kids screaming . still would recommend getting the at 9:a.m. when they open because it took us 4 hours just to do the Aquarium side and then another two hours to do the butterfly area but well worth it. Bring some water with you for sure to drink you will need it!
My kids loved exploring this place has so many different options things that you could be here all day. Parking was easy there wasn’t much shade but once we were able to get inside things were shaded. A few different options for food or desserts.
Really enjoyed my time here. First time, will be back. I regret not buying an annual pass when I have the opportunity. I’ve done the aquarium, very interested in seeing what else Arizona Boardwalk has an offer
Nice place to get some variety. Went on Family Day, so extra special.
Bought a 4 event pass.
No issues with getting our tickets on Sunday, but while visiting the Butterfly House...the system was down and only taking cash payment for tickets...so customers had to buy tickets in another area if using cards...Yikes
Several nice shops. Cool attractions. And a nice shop with natural stones mined from 4 Peaks Mountains here in Arizona. The staff at the shops very pleasant to speak with. Can't wait to go back.
Great place to enjoy a day with your kids! We have 8 and 10 year old boys and they loved the laser tag, dinosaur arcade and the aquarium.
Super cool place to shop hang out. Plus the butterfly museum and the aquarium are super cool. Didn’t get to check out the alien exhibit but it looked cool. I would definitely recommend going to hang out here.
Great place to escape the rain, the aquarium and butterfly sanctuary was great and entertaining for the kids. Very educational.
A good experience if your rich, unfortunately everything is way overpriced. 3 pics is 40$ and they are tiny and some of the attractions are smaller than you think, I ended up paying around 300$ for only 2 hours of fun and got nothing else out of it. It seems a bit greedy and it was bad for my date
The boardwalk wasn't as exciting as we thought it was going to be. We did enjoy looking at the outside of the shops. Most of the ones that weren't shops or other activities that you had to pay additional money for.
This is the coolest/cutest place to have a family outing, corporate employee event or a first date! So many attractions to visit in one place🙂
Kids loved the foam party and fire truck wash station. Inside the Arizona boardwalk is free. Any other facilities are separate.
So much family fun rolled up in one day or you can do it alone. There's a nice little aquarium and a must see butterfly wonderland it's amazing in there. Or you can take some cool pictures at imagine that. There's a little dinosaur Cafe that has the best pizza hands down in the area for Arizona. Watch out when you're leaving very late at night because people are slobs, they throw their garbage on the ground in the parking lot. Well that attracts a lot of wild boar and coyote. I heard that's normal in Arizona but still that kind of freaked me out.
So this is basically the walkway when you visit the Aquarium or other attractions in the area. This has a lot of cool exhibits. My favorite was the dinosaurs and the 3d paintings. Exploring this area is the only thing you can do if you are on a budget. Carry your wallet if you plan to have food here as it can be a bit pricey. Overall a good family outing for kids and adults alike.
Plenty of attractions. The aquarium is great. Ripleys Believe it or not less so. The shops and food outlets are overpriced.
Great are with lots of activities! Bring your checkbook, but worth the expressions on the kid's faces.
So happy I found this place. Great place to spend the day with the kids
Arizona Boardwalk offers entertainment for all ages, whether stopping by the Butterfly Wonderland, Ripley's Believe It or Not, the Aquarium, or Pangaea Land of Dinosaurs are among some of the attractions. Plan ahead to manage your time, tickets must be purchased to participate with the attractions. There are plenty of eateries, stores and great spots for a quick photo op. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
I liked that the kids could pet the starfish and sting rays.
The toucan and otters were a very nice surprise!
Although, we did not see the giant octopus as advertised.
This is a nice spot to come to when they are hosting an event. The shops used to all be full and open before COVID. I have noticed multiple empty spots now. The kids love to walk around here because of the water features.
Went during the off-season. Most places weren't open yet. But had a blast with what was available.
There was an event and we liked that place. We think we'll be back soon for the entertainment places we want to visit (aquarium, UFo experience...) and the amazing semi-precious stone shop which we found incredible.
A variety of things to do and see (we just went to the aquarium and Johnny rockets). Nice selection of restaurants. The water could used a clean out. The sidewalks were clean and clear to walk.
Fun experience with the aquarium and butterfly wonderland.
I went to see an outdoor candlelit venue with a quartet performing all the songs from Queen. I thought the setup was wonderful the placement of the speakers or not the best as they should have been placed higher rather than at ear level. And probably because I'm older I found the seats to be uncomfortable. They were small plastic seats with metal sides and legs. It was pretty chilly out and those seats were uncomfortable and cold. I highly recommend bringing a seat cushion if you ever go see a performance there.
Great concept being the gateway to multiple attractions, stores, and restaurants. EVERYTHING is wildly overpriced, we are talking Disney money (ok, maybe not THAT bad)! With that out of the way, for me the highlight of the boardwalk was the aquarium and jewelry store (which has a replica of the store owners mine in it). The low points were the food and the butterfly exhibit. This is a must visit if you are bringing children. Also the lesson I learned is: buy your tickets online! Don't waste your time standing in the heat to buy tickets for the attraction, and then stand in line for the attraction. That advice alone earned me a thumbs up and you a better trip.
Kids of all ages will enjoy. Dont forget your wallet if you plan on eating. Dining there is a little pricey. But you will absolutely learn something from the different exhibits there.
I only went to two places on the boardwalk (Butterfly Wonderland and Odysea Aquarium). It was really expensive for what it was, even when bundling. I wonder if they have discounts. It's not really an affordable place to take a big family.
I like that they're open every day. We went on Christmas Eve.
We love coming here. They always have such nice vendors and fun events for the kids. The aquarium and the butterfly museum are must sees!
Alot to do and eat in the area. Pangea wasn't worth the money, in my opinion. The ufo encounter is gimiky but fun if you like that type of stuff. There is not a lot for little kids to experience. My daughter did love the moon walk, which is essentially a giant bouncy house. The butterfly garden was her favorite by far to experience. It is extremely warm/humid, so dress accordingly. The aquarium was fun with touch pools but wasn't as interactive for little kids.
The boardwalk is free to go to, but they have package deals for everything that is there. You can buy tickets in advance but if it is during their busy time they could be sold out. So if you want to make sure you can go that day I would just buy tickets there.
My daughter is 2 for reference.
My girls and I have been visiting this place for quite some time now and I must say that every visit is different than the last. In this case it is a good thing. Let me start off by saying there is so much more by far than what I will mention in my review. In this visit we enjoyed visiting the Oddysea Aquarium, the Candy store which is always a little treat for our visit, looking at the monumental attractions that they switch around and change out from time to time and more. The highlight of this visit was an artist which we found on the second level who was doing people art. I couldn't resist and had this artist draw both my daughters. He did so in an astonishing 16 minutes and did a fantastic job. We are so happy. I will continue to do future reviews to help those in the search for something good to do and for those that deliver.
Love, love, love the Arizona Boardwalk! Although, not sure how the "boardwalk" connotation came about 🤷🏾♀️ Super nice area to visit as there's loads to do, places to visit and restos to eat at. Definitely a must for a hangout place! …
Nice family/date vibe....still a lot more to come and develop there
Nice place for good. Having aquarium, Dino park and ice park, science center, laser lights and much more. A complete package for family. It will take 2 days to finish all the activities. Food court and other dining options are available. Lot of parking spaces and complex has multiple entry and exit gates. Washrooms are clean. Christmas decorations and lights are very beautiful. Free face painting and let’s of other activities for kids. Must visit in Christmas session.
I came to see the Butterflies at Butterfly Wonderland. It's such an amazing experience. A beautiful exhibit . I loved it s much. If I lived in the area I'd go often.
So much to do here. And it's always changing. Check out what they do next! It looks like a UFO experience.
There are quite a few shops and tourist-like places to visit here. With a changing attraction that cycles out seasonally it is a nice place to come for a day out or a place to visit with out of town relatives if you intend to spend money.
I bring my boy here everytime I visit him. He loves it here!!! We enjoyed the bug expo the weekend before Halloween.
It was very hot that day I don't recommend it on a HOT day
Candlelight Orchestra was phenomenal! Will be back with others next Christmas 🕯️
Had no idea it was here! Showed up for
The aquarium and Titanic Exhibition and discovered it was there. Had lunch at a fun dinosaur themed restaurant, wandered and enjoyed the fountains, and visited a neat rock and gem shop.
This aquarium is amazing! They had so many types of fish. They had a sloth, toucans, otters, oh my! This is one of the best most creative Aquariums I've ever been to. And the $25 ticket price was wonderful.
The Aquarium was as good as we had expected. We are spoiled rotten and have seen so many across the country that it's a tough competition for us. Overall, the kiddo had a great time, and we got lots of pictures! It is costly but fun...you can easily kill 5 hours.
It was a great experience and the people were super friendly. I would very much recommend to go check out the Titanic Artifact Exhibition. It was super interesting. We weren't allowed to take photos though. The OdySea is pretty big so it would take a whole day to visit. We decided to split the visit in two days.
Big crowd! Nice family fun. 4th Annual Winterfest. Great day
Really nice aquarium. Large enough for large groups. Been to others that everyone is in your way. Lots of information on the wildlife and a great place to take children and adults.
really enjoyed the experience of az boardwalk. its an all day experience, lots of good and fun things to do. you can buy a pass by the aquarium, pangea was my favorite place to eat
Amazing Fishermans Warf in the desert with attractions galore. Take the kids, take your significant other or just go yourself. You'll come back with a smile!
OdySea in the Desert is SPECTACULAR to be sure! From the moment we walked through the doors there was SO much to take in! Not just to watch but the hands on for the kids was just as incredible as the underwater sites. They can pet Tarapin, stingrays and sea urchins to name a few.
There is a cafeteria that is moderately priced if appetites flare up. We had the pizza and it was very good!
Saltwater fish as well as fresh water are in display with informative kiosks throughout.
The escalator through the glass tunnel under the water was amazing! Towards the end of journey through the aquarium is a rotating amphitheater that changes themes every 5 or 10 minutes. Very informative and interesting information about the 5 themes in this exhibit.
Finally when you are complete the gift shop is equally as impressive!
The staff is well trained, informative and polite.
So enjoy your trip to OdySea in the Desert and be prepared to be amazed!
Had a wonderful time at the Butterfly Wonderland. My wife and I had never been there before. It is very informative and a great place to go. It is humid in the giant room they fly around in. We were able to watch a butterfly release when we were there.
The aquarium is a fun place to pass the time. It seems like it will be a blast when you first enter. You can take a pic if you choose..for a pricey price of course...and then as you walk in there a numerous fish tanks, and then more fish tanks...nothing out of the ordinary, but still pretty. There seemed to be a lot of rescued animals...small alligators, otters..even the giant sea turtles, sea lions, and sharks are rescues. It was more of a sanctuary. The coolest exhibit I thought was the Stingray pool and the sea lion auditorium. It was much smaller than I expected and took way less time to go through everything than I thought. An hour and a half should be enough time to see everything and have lunch. I dont think its worth the price, but if you really need somewhere to go thats the place. The kids will have fun anyway.
Foam Frenzy Summer Kickoff. Free to everyone. It was so much fun. All the kids, even the big kids, had a blast!!!!
Had a fantastic time at the aquarium my little kid absolutely loved it and was mesmerized by the lobsters in the tank. He also loved the sharks and not to mention the bathrooms on the first floor before you begin are incredible you have to check those out! I have truly loved this aquarium and have gone quite a few times I do think that the single day passes are a bit expensive when you can get a year pass for like the cost of two attendances. I do wish the outside area had something a bit more enjoyable to do besides food. Ripley's is fantastic but other than that there isn't much else to do .
This area contains a bunch of attractions for the kids and adults that are young at heart. It lacks a few shops and a heart to it. It's just meh. The courtyard needs a beat of some kind to get it alive. I get that it's remote but it's a great space to do something attractive.
All kinds of cool stuff here! The best parts were the riplys believe it or not, and the dinosaurs of pangia.
Awesome day trip if you are with family in Phoenix area. Butterfly Garden is wonderful and people of all ages will certainly enjoy
We have been in this Plaza few times (we live close). It is very pleasant and fun, with lots of things for the kids. We visited the aquarium, the dolphins, dinosaurs and today there was a very nice event, it was definitely a fun day.
Great place to visit for a family with kids. There are several places to visit including Pangea, Odysea and Butterfly Wonderland. Fantastic place for kids!
Cool little place, different things to see and do, lots of photo opportunities. Great to visitors, kids, photographers, families.
Lots of things to do and see for free.
There are many paid attractions as well.
Often there are sponsored events to enjoy.
Today the boardwalk was clean and inviting without many people.
This is important to me because my tiny granddaughters can be free to safety walk around and explore without any issues.
Plenty of things to do here. Me and my wife came here and we had fun with the things they had there. Highly recommend to bring your children to, or even for a date.
Loved it very friendly my fav part was I went cuz was free and they did not push other venues or costs on u free was fun for family's with kids even got a couple gifts can't wait for Valentine's festival
We only went to the Odysea Aquarium on the Boardwalk but we loved it, getting to see and touch several sea creatures and see all the beautiful exhibits was a great way to end our vacation. I would definitely recommend. Also the other attractions also looked like they would be alot of fun as well, we just didn't have time to do more
It was so fun !!! It's a must see 😊
Don't forget to visit the aquarium 😜🐠🐟🦐🦞🦀🦑🐙🦪🐚🦭🦈🐬🐋🐳🦜🦦🐧 …
Awesome experience even if you don't have or aren't a kid! Very friendly staff and very straight forward instructions. Love that you can go at any pace you want!
We visited on a Monday!! Place was pretty much deserted. Weekdays are definitely the best time to go if you want to avoid the crowds, especially after the school year begins.
What an amazing place! We cant wait to go back and see more. Our son had a penguin following only his hand for over 20 mins. Passed everyone up to see him. Made his day for sure. We all enjoyed every part of it. Our son that's 6 really can't wait to go back. The staff was so friendly.
The area between the Odysea Aquarium, the Butterfly Wonderland and Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs. On weekend there are often vendor events and music. Family fun!
We got a good deal online when we purchased some tickets for the Odysea. We have a one year old and he got in free and that I think is awesome because he's not really fully enjoying the experience. He did love watching all the fish and penguins, and the sharks. There was a kids area where they can draw and have this cool wall with lights and a projector on the floor where kids can play games. The food is actually not too good so if you can eat before or hold off until after do that. The shop upstairs has alot of cool things to sell.
A lot of cool places to go
Odysea, Ripley's, Mirror maze, butterfly's, The dinosaur exibit
This aquarium is huge with lots of gigantic fish to see. We visited OdySea after hours with only adults and no children running around everywhere. This event happens once a month with a small live band and alcohol.
For being in a huge city they know how to break up all the folks coming to visit and make the visit very fun, exciting, and learned lots of new things! The lines were very short and the folks were so pleasant to be around. I'd go several times a year if we lived on the area
Our favorite was the sea turtles!
What a great place. Lots of great things to keep your family entertained. Pangea grill was awesome, great place, great food.
Beautiful place. Easy to see and find from the road. Lots of conveinient parking. Plenty of wheelchair accessible parking. The place has many shops, restaurants and attractions in addition to the aquarium. We visited the Bodies Revealed. Very cool super fascinating. Make sure to use the Groupon and save some money.
So many different things to do, you could genuinely spend all day here!! Great for kiddos, couples, or alone time! 😊
We had a great time visiting the Aquarium at OdySea! My girls loved all of the interactive exhibits and getting to touch so many different types of sea life! We are from KY, near Cincinnati, and we had visited Mighty Mike many times at the Newport Aquarium. It was fun to see him "on vacation" too! The bathrooms at the beginning are really fun, because they have a shark tank view inside each one! A great option to stay out of the sun for a little while!
Even though it took 2 hours of public transit from downtown to get to the aquarium, it was worth it!
Most of the tanks aren't just big, they are huge! The signage is decently informative but definitely needs some refreshing; there were unlabeled species in nearly every display, and multiple labels for fish that weren't on display.
Don't go expecting an impressive coral reef display; it's impossible to keep live coral in huge systems but even the 3 smaller tanks that did have coral had only a few tiny colonies of beginner corals.
Closed doors, poor signage, and a variety of "with extra fee" options lead to me almost miss their 4 largest exhibits that are part of a "submarine tour" in a giant rotating room with 5 "sub" theater style seating areas that rotate through the entrance and 4 exhibits while an audio tour plays.
The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable, the facilities were clean and nicely lit to show off the inhabitants, and while it wasn't cheap (but online tickets do save $$), for almost 3 hours of entertainment it was a very nice way to spend the afternoon.
Good experience. Had a guide who made visit more enjoyable. He was knowledgeable and explained exhibits connection to Arizona.
Wish they had this place in Tucson very kool
Excellent exhibits, educational, informative and entertaining. Friendly knowledgeable staff. A great place to go with the family
Totally fun and inexpensive little museum. Make sure you bring your phones or camera because that's where the magic takes place! See photo for example. Masks required, but you can take them off for a quick pic.. or leave then on for safer pics.
Pretty standard mix of attractions and tourist-y shops. The Aquariam was why we were there and it was awesome
It was nice, room for a few more stores or attractions. Nice people and clean place
If you’re looking for something fun to do this is the place.
I love all the event's they have for kids every holiday. We pack a lunch and spend our funds on the candy shop etc. If you're not on their email list, I encourage youto subscribe. Her are some pics of the Halloween event they had.
Very clean community, love all the events. Expensive compared to other attractions in Phoenix or Peoria.
My first time and I loved it!
Definitely a place that takes a little pre-planning but could make for a great day. Food choices are very skimpy and not that great. Will likely pack our own food if we return. Love the big outdoor area in the middle
Plenty of things to do with the family. Enjoyed the day with a friend from out of state at Butterfly Wonderland. She loved it!
I am rating the complex ( restaurants, stores, entertainment, things to do) not the aquarium, I did not go to the aquarium. Great place to take the family, lots of fun activities, food options, atmosphere, tourist gift shops, photo spots, etc.
2nd Annual Action and Adventure festival. We enjoyed ourselves. Happy we arrived early because the lines for everything got way to long. Wish there would have been more super heroes
We went to the ufo experience.
Lots of reading information. The ufo experience was a 4 star. Arizona Boardwalk is 5 star. Quite pricey.
Great for all ages nice outdoor open spaces
So many cool things to do and see for an afternoon!
My son loves this place, I had to get an annual pass!!
Small butterfly conservatory which was nice, $25 to enter. Other attractions so-so unless you're with kids.
This is a beautiful boardwalk! I just happen to stumble upon the art walk when I came out. It is truly a beautiful area to explore.
Very cool things always going on for kids each weekend. The aquarium is great! I only give 4 stars because of little things like dirty water features. (I understand they're hard to keep clean with all the kids that go in them but every time I have gone they just look rough and I definitely don't let my kids go in them.)
The idea was great but the execution was far from ideal. Prior to purchasing tickets to several of the attractions for my kids Fall Break I called to verify the hours for each place. Due to unexpected early closures of several buisness we were unable to visit all of the locations we prepaid tickets for. Then as we made our way to the remaining places that were open, they made us feel rushed and unwanted as they too wanted to close, when they should have been open another 2 hours till 7 pm. This was extremely frustrating and poor buisness practices. This particular day was very special to us as we were able to get our boys together with their dad 1 last time before he deploys over the next year. Not only the issue of the inconvenience, but we are also out the money I spent on tickets we weren't able to use. Disappointed to say the least.
Arizona Boardwalk keeps us coming back for more! My first two times we did Oddysea and Butterfly Wonderland, and this time we did Pangea and Ripley's Believe It Or Not! We bought our tickets online and evrrything was amazing 😇 Afterwards we ate at the Pangea themed restaurant on the second floor and I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting much because most theme place restaurants are mediocre at best.. but WOW the food was AMAZING!! And so was the service!
Went to the Pangaea experience here. Fun little trip for the kids. Got out of the heat and played some games. The kids did some coloring and clay activities. I recommend getting the Groupon deal if it's still available. Went to the grill place upstairs for a salad. Did a little shopping in the Arizona souvenir shop and the Soapy Bubble shop. The coffee shop next to ice cream place was unfortunately closed. Overall, a great place for fun and food to get the kids out of the eat. The outdoors area wasn't as clean as expected for a busy afternoon, but that's likely normal with staffing constraints.
Very well maintained. The aquariums were awesome. Lots to look at!
Fun place with lots of things to do with the family.
Fun to walk around. Many restaurants next to the dinosaurs or King Kong sculptures.
Such a great place to bring a family or visit alone! I visited the Butterfly Wonderland, Aquarium and the fool your eyes exhibit s. Pics to follow in individual reviews .
Loved it!!! Great place to hang out and explore could have stayed all day
Great for people of all ages tons to do here! Really a great place to come with kids! They have lots of shows in the center court yard often
Love all the attractions here! My husband and I took our daughter to the dinosaur exhibit. She's a bit young for it but seemed to enjoy it. Can't wait to check out the rest of the attractions they have here. Going to the Aquarium this weekend!
Nice little shops and fun stuff to do with the aquarium, and other attractions.
Very enjoyable stop. A lot do do and see for a good family time.
This is a great place to walk around and take your kids for some fun! I took my 9 year old son to OdySea and we had a great time! He loved the candy store too!
Everything is expensive. It was hot and you have to walk outside to get to everything. Parking lot was kind of confusing and it was packed. We went to Pangaea and if we didn't use our POGO pass I would have been upset. It's really small and since you have to read each screen to learn about the dinosaurs there was a long line and a lot of waiting around.
My son was so scared of the dinosaurs, they looked si real! We loved it! Small area definitely an add on for your OdySea experience.
Went to a reptile fair they had and we really enjoyed it! Many rescue animals and great people taking care of them. We learned a lot!
Pretty fun place. There always seems to be something new.
Bring a lot of money....
I always have a blast going to Odysea in the Desert! They have awesome events, the aquarium is one of the best I’ve been to, Pangea dinosaurs are a blast and all the fest they put on are fun!
Great place to walk and have fun with the kiddo. We love and visit Pangaea the Butterfly Garden and Aquarium everytime we go!
Lots of cool stores and fun experiences. The experiences cost money, but you can walk and look around for free
Great events always free just make sure to bring some extra cash for the extra charged activities
Spent the day with a friend who had never been here. She loved it
We enjoyed the Live music and different artists/vendors displaying their work.
Great place to see. A lot to do . very spendy .
My boys enjoyed this thoroughly. Foam party was great to beat the heat.
this is totally an entire day adventure. I was very impressed with the amount of shops to visit, the variety of shops, as well as the courtyard area with the stage for the live band. it was truly impressive to take the entire family and not have to worry about anything, because there was something for all ages.
It was during the middle of a school day, so it was very quiet and slow. I would definitely take my kids if they were with us.
Great place! My kids and I loved it. Lots of cool things to look at. Our favorites were the stingrays, the octopus (way cool😊) and the penguins. Definitely a place I'd visit again. …
We went to the titanic exhibit a few years ago and recently went to the Ripley's exhibit. Both were very cool and well laid out. We have not gone to any other things yet but they are on the list for the future.
I liked the design of how many attractions are all circled around each other. Very convenient.
Great place. Loved being able to be hands on and touch some plants, sea life and feed the sting rays. I though it was very reasonably priced as well!!
Loved the whole experience. Amazing set up. It's hard to pick a single favorite thing, but the rotating theater to see 4 different enclosures was nothing I've ever experienced. Reminded me of Jurassic Park when the ride showed them process, science, labs and hatching eggs in the beginning before it all went down.
Admission and parking are free. Very good for small kids.
Heads up for all the big families, the attractions are pricey. I strongly suggest you look up the package combo deals they have. They are paired with another attraction to help save money.
The rest of the plaza has a nice vibe. If you are in the area, check out Midevil times down the street. That place is worth the money!
We came here for the Butterfly Wonderland and it was great! I highly recommend it.
It's pretty nice all these places are in one location. You can get tickets to multiple attractions and save a little money. Also theirs tickets available for the aquarium later that are much cheaper than the other times available. When we went it was 4:30 on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all.
Foam frenzy is always a blast! Best free event around for the kiddos! Hopefully it will happen again next year!
Most of the stores are open and it's really clean. Kids and adults can have so much fun just walking around here. Great for dates and we had a great time on my birthday.
There are a lot of fun things to do as a family, but it is expensive and has extra charges because of its location on the reservation.
Nice environment & lots to do. Fun for the whole family.
Odysea aquarium was great place to hang out take your time with fam
Love this place! So many cool things to do
It's a fun place to go to the places around and fun when they have events going on.
Came to the Aquarium and had lots of fun walking around and seeing the shops and exhibits.
Maybe it was the time of day we went, but I was somewhat underwhelmed. There's some shops around that seem a bit overpriced. I think they spent a lot to try to make it a cool place, but there weren't a lot of people when we went on a Thursday morning so it seemed kinda empty. We did the mirror maze, which was cool, but kinda expensive for a 5 minute experience. You can go back in all day. Candy shop was cool, but way pricey too.
Enjoyed the experiences here. Visited 3 locations. A bit pricey.
Fun little place to take the family. A little overrated and overpriced. Several attraction & dining options.
Really fun to have with family my grandparents and me had so much fun
The Butterfly wonderland was amazing. The staff was super friendly. Would definitely recommend as a cool place to visit!
Many shops & eateries already closed. Seemed like a ghost town when I was there.
This is definitely THE all day aquarium to see BUT you'll practically go broke. For a family of 5 we spent $300 and we didn't do ANY of the extra stuff that you can add on. We went, had a snack there, got 2 stuffed toys and had burgers for lunch. Insanely expensive, but really nice.
It was a wonderful experience. I went with my son, daughter in law and my grandson. They took my grandson to meet the captain.
Food tasted good but I gave it three stars because of the awful wait time even though we were the first ones in the restaurant on a Sunday morning. Almost 30 minutes before they would come and take our order what the heck were they doing in that time. No I won't go back again, poor customer service.
Unfortunately half or more of the stores/attractions are gone. Only two places to eat and both are over the top pricey with just average food served. They can't keep up the maintenance of all the fountains, so I think they should fill them in and plant desert botanicals. I hope the place improves.
A cool place for kids and adults. Some good food, a bar, and many activities in one big circle plaza. Ripleys, Aquarium, ice cream & more. The whole area makes for a fun and active day out.
Fun place to quality family time. Prices are a little high but not too bad.
A nice place, especially for bringing groups of children. Not particularly for adults.
Just fun place
If you are residence in AZ, I recommend to get membership, tourist?, I'm not sure
Such breathtaking aquariums!! So much sea life like fish, sea horses, jellyfish, sharks, turtles, seals, stingrays, and more!! We had a wonderful time! Huge plaza with shops and restaurants outside too!
Kind of pricey, but decent selection of animals. Otters, penguins, sharks, sea turtles, sea lions, giant octopus, a sloth, toucan and sturgeons you can touch. Bit of a small facility, but good for a quick trip.
A great cross connect of entertainment couple with places to eat. And for us, catching sunshine in February was a double bonus. Grandson was fascinated by the dinosaurs.
I had a lot of fun.
Always a good time when we visit.
Had an awesome time, truly enjoyed myself
Well organised and beautiful small shops around !!! I really enjoyed!
Could spend all week there but settled for one day. Loved the behind the scenes shark tour!
Pretty darn cool place. Lots of opportunities to spend an extra few hundred bucks with all the photos they try to sell you 😳. Kept 3 adults and 3 kids busy for a fair portion of the day. …
It's super fun, they have good food, and the fish and stuff is AWESOME!!! I also never saw these fish they must be new are they? I think that they are cool
Place is cool af...tons to do..ample parking easy on and off freeway
Awesome location with lots to offer and explore. The kids and I love the foam party days, Please do more community family events!!!
My kids love this place, so much fun
Super fun spot to get out of the weather and enjoy family time. I also had coffee and a water massage. Easy to lose track of time.
What a cool place! So many interesting things to do and a beautiful space in the middle to sit with water features.
So much to do here! We visited to kill several hours before a flight and almost felt like there wasn't enough time to do everything.
I really enjoyed my time here with my girls.
Arizona Boardwalk has so many fun things to do and see. We did the aquarium, butterfly wonderland and a few shops as well as ate at Johnny Rockets. Great place to bring the whole family. If you get there at opening and buy tickets online you won't have to wait in line.
It was raining 🌧 when we were there but very clean people were great..still had a great time
Had a great day at the museums and aquarium.
Super interesting place lots of great food and places to visit.
Really sad nothing was open in the middle of the day of the week they only open things on the weekends so sad I wanted to see the dinosaurs 🥺it's a cool place but not fair to people that day have the weekends off …
Super family fun. Love this place.
A convenient place to take the family with a variety of attractions and a few food options. For visitors to the area this place provides some good options to escape the heat for a day. If purchasing a combination ticket you can easily visit at least three in a day - - especially if you have young ones that like to breeze through exhibits without reading all the information.
Fun place, great for kids...interesting.
Nice place to walk around and let the children have some fun. However, in the Arizona heat you don't want to stay out there too long.
Lots do do but each thing cost money of course. We went to aquarium and then for ice cream after.
Came here to check it out. My aunt lives out west so she wanted us to see this place.
Pretty cool place, picked up a few items to bring back for my grandson!
Went to the aquarium. Was a nice and exciting experience and I'm 30. They also have more than one exhibit to do. Something to do with dinosaurs that looks interesting, along with other places. Can't go wrong spending 2 hours here. And that's just with looking at fish not even reading the info they post.
Good way to spend a few hours out of the house . It gets really hot in the center of the Boardwalk. Even with the water and sun shades. Be advised, bring water.
Parking can be a bit of a walk (in the summer) no matter where you park.
Super kid friendly but not much for adults to do. Everything is overpriced and not worth the expense since the activities are children based and don't take much time for adults to complete.
So much to do and experience here. Highly recommend taking your kids here
Adorable place. Nice for a stroll. Cute shops.
It was an enjoyable experience to be able to show our kid exhibits and play for a couple hours
Fantabulous place for kids and adults alike! We'll definitely go back!
It was a fun experience. It's definitely a great place to take the whole family 👪 (if you have kids). It can be a fun place for adults as well who are interested in butterflies, art, nature, animals.
Cool place to hang out. There was nothing going on outside, but my family and I went to the aquarium, which was cool enough for all the kids.
Not many of the stores were open. The select ones that were open had pleasant staff.
Could've been MORE!
Plenty to do in this boardwalk, family will have a good time! Houston, Texas Love!
Had a great time with family at butterfly wonderland! Next time we will go to the aquarium
4th of July Holiday and all eatery places and attractions were closed before 5. The retail places were priced unreasonably to high.
Nice exhibits for the Aquarium and the Butterfly Conservatory to see nature up close. Lots of families around.
Great establishment for family fun!!! Tons of activities and adventures to entertain the entire family!
Arizona Boardwalk was alright. Many shops looked closed, the place was overrun with children out of school on field trips running wild and leaving quite a mess. Phoenix is pretty hot so I'm surprised this place isn't covered in some way. It might be nicer in the winter months but a little too hot for little ones on this day. The water features are a nice touch and it's a convenient way to get to many places.
Nice place to enjoy family, sun and nature.
Don't skip the 3D movie, it relaxes you and set you for the mood nicely. After all, we are in a desert, we are mentally not really ready to see those non-desert creatures, as much as we think we are :). From personal experience. :)
We checked out the Dinosaurs with our boys (ages 8-11) it kept them interested and was a nice way to spend a couple hours
The Aquarium is very nice, but just also very typical Aquarium, food is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE!
Went to the Sea Aquarium. Had a great time.
We like walking around here after visiting the aquarium or other exhibits! Kids enjoy it! 🙂 …
Nice place to visit, great ambiance 👍🏽 …
Pretty expensive but a cool way to waste a few hours if you're willing to pay
Lots to do here! Fun attractions each with an entry fee. Check the website for current hours and pricing. But there are some great shops here as well. The gem and mineral store is amazing.
There is a massive souvenir shop with plenty of Arizona specific items at a good range of prices. Some trinkety stuff, mugs, t-shirts and such. Good quality.
A couple restaurants here as well. Johnny Rockets, which is a chain, but serves a good faux 1950s style dinner experience.
There is a dinosaur themed (lightly themed but still cool) restaurant that has a good variety of food. We enjoyed everything ordered and no one left hungry.
Easy to get to off the 101, plenty of free parking, and good clean bathrooms. Wheelchair accessible and easy enough for older, slower folk to get around. Plenty of shade too, but come July and August in Arizona plan accordingly! Hydrate! And don't be afraid to duck into the air conditioned gift shops. Everyone will understand.
Definitely recommended! Plenty to do for the whole family or date night.
This whole complex is a fantastic place so fun for the family. Love the snow pile they put in the middle. They even had 🔥 pits and $5.00 smore kits. …
Lots to do and so much fun. We will be going back more often.
A good way to spend a day. Between Butterfly Wonderland and OdySea and a couple of places to eat, pretty good.
Between the aquarium, the specialty exhibits and shops, we had an amazing time. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will be go8ng back.
Very cool place for kids of ALL ages. It CAN be definitely expensive, as each place charges an admission fee; however, it will be great fun for the whole family all day!
Got tickets for the aquarium and lots of stuff closed b4 we got there after 4
Had a amazing time food in the area is super good. Go to the dinosaur place to eat it's definitely worth the money
We loved the boardwalk and I am so glad we found it. There are so many things to do in this area and discounts offered if you do multiple things. I would so go back and I look forward to then filling the empty spots. The courtyard is beautiful and a nice place to eat lunch or relax in between exhibits.
Excellent place to spend a day of activities
Super clean, a lot of fun. A must see especially if you have little ones
Excellent family outing. Very nice aquarium. Did not get to see all of it because part of the group I was with was tiring. Nice arrangement of exhibits. Very family friendly. Somewhat crowded but to be expected on a Sunday. Staff was very well educated and entertained with special stories of the animals. Especially appreciated the young woman with the shark eggs and the young man at the otter exhibits.
A lot of fun for the whole family. Will definitely go again. My boys loved it!
Fun day trip! Educational with many wondrous things to see. A must go to.
Such a fun experience! Something for every member of the family
More stores/ attractions, and restaurants in which if you feel indulged to check out, might be pretty fun for you. Even having some activities for both Adults and Children as you walk along and within its center.
Our family loves this place! So much to do!
Loved our experience.Odysea Aquarium, Butterfly, and Ripleys were amazing. Kids loved it.
BUT buy the membership. Single entery is a little high for the family group.
Arizona Boardwalk was a nice place with a lot of places to go. With is 44000 square foot lot a lot of attractions
Great place to pass time with the kids!!
Over the weekend s they have few other attractions to see
I like it better than Sealife! Simply beautiful!
A lot of vacant stores. Its all about the aquarium and butterfly place. Feels more like a tourist trap then a bizarre. Needs some local influence and more shade. Still, a trip here is NOT a waste of time. Go have some fun a the less advertised attractions.
Seen the UFO exhibit. Very well done.
Awesome place but kinda pricey.
This is an awesome location. Great for young and old alike. Can't wait to see this place expand. I would spend all my time here if my children were small. Maybe grand kids
Fun experience for the adults and kiddos. High priced but worth it
Lots to do! Fun place.
Great experience with butterflies!
This place is awesome and has amazing attractions. I made the mistake of buying the bundle with 4 attractions trying to squeeze them all in in a day. With the people and lines to get in the attractions we were only able to do the aquarium and the pangea dinosaur thing with lunch and shopping between. I wish I had time to see the others but that was poor planning on my part. We'll definitely be going back.
Unique shops and entertainment. Includes, Ripleys believe it or not, Odysee Aquarium, Butterfly wonderland, maze of mirrors and more. All amusements have seperate entey fees but you can bundle for lower prices.
Fun times!! Shops and fun for the kids
We love this place! It's so relaxing and refreshing! Dress in bright colors and stand in a sunny spot and you'll likely get a "butterfly kiss"
There are no words that could describe how amazing this place is. There are so many creatures to look at, and countless fun activities. You can even swim with the fish under water in scuba gear! For year round passes the prices are totally reasonable for what you get. The fun never stops no matter how many times you visit! This place is great for all ages!
OdySea is a fantastic aquarium and loved all the presentations.
Super fun place with cool stores, restaurants, and attractions
Interesting & unique attractions to visit. More of a carnival atmosphere instead of a museum feel but an entertaining afternoon with the family. The mirror maze was fun and my daughters thought the lazer room was a blast. In my opinion Ripley's was priced a bit high for what it offered. I liked that we were able to purchase combo tickets (mirror maze, surprise your eyes & Ripley's) with a discount and then have a year to use them. That gave us flexibility to take our time to enjoy everything and come back another weekend to finish up our family fun. We will definitely go back to check out the other exhibits.
Excellent outing for a day. Although not very “large” in contrast to what one would think BUT it packs a BIG punch with things to do, to see and to entertain one self. Excellent for family outings or for just spending time with your better half/partner. 👍for me. …
The 21 and up event is so much fun! I love that they host it every few months! It's an amazing experience. I've been there plenty of times with my kids and it was amazing going there with just my friends kid free! And the penguin interactions where absolutely amazing!
Definitely put this on,your list. My niece was here visiting so we went and we both loved it. It's so informative some areas are very hands on you can also join in,on,other activities they have which are an extra charge. My niece joined in on the under water activity and lived it. You should know if you have someone with you that can not see well there are alot of very dark areas. There is a very nice and not expensive snack bar upstairs. Definitely a very educational and wonderful time.
recommend going between 10 and 12. Most butterfly activity I have seen in all my times there. My toddler granddaughters loved it.
Graaaaaaa, that what my kids said lol
Super fun for the kidos. Butterfly show totally worth it. Don't forget to check out the art display.
Cool place with some fun activities
A great place for food and excitement. They have a large aquarium, huge butterfly exhibit, Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum, and more.
You are able to purchase discount tickets to visit at 4:30 p.m. the tickets were still $25.00 a person. The exhibits were good. Attending at a later time, you miss the feedings for the sharks and alligators.
There are a lot of cool shops and restaurants to visit. But unfortunately they were all closed by 6. The aquarium allows you access from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. I would have liked to have visited the gift shop.
Beautiful and watery spot. Fun stuff over here! Odysea Aquarium, Dinosaur Grill has great food, dinosaur experience, optical illusions place and laser tag and ice bar and....
It's like a mini shopping mall with museums, fun game places, and a huge aquarium. Absolutely worth going to for the whole family. Great food, great attractions, and amazing service. The place is clean. And easy to walk through. They also offer discounts on food if you buy tickets for the aquarium. Me and my wife got 20 dollars off the restaurant we went to after the attractions we visited.
It was a very cool experience with all the animals to see and touch!
Neat place to visit. Alot of things to do and see ....will be visiting again soon
My children always have fun here.
Very nice shops and restaurants to browse through.
We had a great time. This is such a nice place for family fun. Get there early so that you can fully enjoy the different attractions.
Nice place to take young kids. Plenty of space for them to run around and there are a few restaurants and attractions to visit, too.
A nice area, with live music and water features. Also easy access to restaurants, the aquarium, butterfly house and other attractions.
Best Aquarium ever! This is a great way to spend a good chunk of the day with family, friends or a date. The aquarium and the other attractions are very nice and you can tell a lot of time went into making everything perfect. This aquarium has everything. Not just fish and reptiles but, mammals and birds, as well. It is super informative about the local areas as well as water systems throughout the world. Do not miss the sit down, undersea sub tour. It was great fun and you get to learn about different animals with some great fun facts. It’s well worth the 20 minutes and gives you a chance to relax from all the walking.
Odysea, butterfly, and ice cream great there. Ripley's is worth it if you go to the others often already. Dino is cool if you have a lot of time and get in early (arcade and activities center is cool in there, but the actual main attraction of animatronics is less than exilerating).
The year pass is well worth it. Odysea, butterfly bundle is something I utilize with my 5 year old on average every other week (rotating with the Legoland/sea life). It takes the pressure off of having to think of something for your kid to do. Plus it's a good launching point for explaining the way reality operates, and the natural cycles of nature. Some of the restaurants are outside of my price range, but just bring a lunch, bring water, etc, and don't eat them inside the exhibits; life will be good. Kinda bummed they don't have a year pass for the dino exhibit - the price was definitely higher than the value based on my experience. Also the guy in there was ragging on Jurassic park for the whole 'T-Rex's vision-based movement' when that was a phenomenon due to splicing DNA with certain frogs who had such properties. Bummer. Staff is friendly throughout, they seem to enjoy their practices, and generally have a good knowledge base. Except the dino guys. They seem more like they read two laminated sheets of bullet points, and think they have a degree. XD jk they were chill.
Absolutely beautiful. Had a wonderful time just spending time with my daughter and walking up and down the boardwalk. Nice relaxing atmosphere.
This place is AMAZING for your little ones! I still believe WAY overpriced for some shops and museum's available there. Trying to create incentive to purchase tickets to multiple places at once to "save money". Sorry honey, I just don't believe I should pay $40 for ONE adult and almost $35 for a child just to go to the aquarium. Just my opinion. Should offer a larger military discount and make it more of a DEAL when purchasing tickets to MULTIPLE places.
The restaurants available need to step up if they really want to thrive. Mediocre food, again completely overpriced and you can see the staff are completely stressed out.
BUT, overall, if you have a good chunk of money and you want to spend a nice day with your kiddos I would recommend this location. I still had a lot of fun.
There’s some fun activities for the family. We tried the laser maze and really enjoyed that. We also ate at the Dinosaur restaurant - I can’t remember the exact name and visited the candy shop and mining store. Knocking off one star because the aquarium really stinks up the whole area. Knocking off another star because there was apparently a VR place on the premises but we couldn’t find the entrance.
My kids love the events they put on!!
Excellent aquarium...a bit pricey perhaps. One person, adult admission, is almost $45. Even a slow stroll through the exhibits takes less than two hours. All in all though it is a very nice, clean, well maintained facility.
Dad's Pizza is amazing. Not only do they make an excellent pizza, but my husband says that Chef Robert makes the best chicken parmesan that he has ever eaten. We've been back 4x and every meal has been consistently great
Our Church family had a wonderful time!!
Staff, was fantastic with excellent customer service a d took time to help us navigate through the sites of the beautiful aquarium!
Informative and inspirational for all ages. Online specials with discounts on food makes it worth an outstanding adventure fir a Sunday afternoon.. Thank you Odysea management, staff and Pangaea Dinosaur Grill employees!!!
So much fun to be had here! Highly recommend for any age. Food was good and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The facility was nice. I didn't really interact with staff much there so I can really only speak to the experience. Ive been to many aquariums in other big cities and this one has some cool experiences I haven't seen elsewhere. But nonetheless it is an aquarium so of you've been to one you've been to them all. We havent gone back, not because it was bad or anything, but because for the price there's nothing spectacular about it. If you wanna be somewhere where your kid can get distracted an gove you a break it might be worth the money but for us it was something fun we did one day.
Great place to visit, many sites, butterflies, Ripley's, the Odesea Aquarium, dinosaurs...you can purchase combination tickets for the different attractions at a discount...worth the trip if you are in the Scottsdale area...
Boardwalk Art show. FABULOUS!! Loved the Vendors!!
Awesome selection of aquarium animals. A fun time, and I absolutely loved the penguins and otters! They also have a little cafe iside, as well as a gift shop. This is part of a circle of attractions and restaurants, very well put together and nice to visit.
Great experience. Expensive for a family but worth it for the attractions which are high quality. You get what you pay for here.
Fun place for everyone, lot of exciting things to see at once place; kids will definitely love it, one day seems to be not enough :-)
Amazing day, Boardwalk is free but the paid adventures were a blast! The aquarium doesn't disappoint. Go see it.
I came with few expectations so it wasn't a let down. I was in Phoenix just to visit a place I had not been too. As we were exploring we saw the boardwalk and gave it a try. As far as attractions go it was ok, there were a decent amount of people there but I got the feeling that it had either already seen its hey day or that it was trying to recover from the pandemic. A lot of the stores/restaurants were not open but the few that were open were trying very hard to get customers to enter. There were people stationed around aggressively trying to get you to take one of their menus. The attractions for the most part were disappointing. You can see my posting on the aquarium, my family also went to the Butterfly Garden, The Mirror Maze and Ripley's. We went to four attractions and two were ok (the Butterfly Garden and The Mirror Maze, the other two were let downs (Ripley's and the aquarium). I've been to different butterfly gardens around the country and this one was nice, you could tell that the staff truly cared about butterfly conservation, they made me want to start a butterfly garden at my house. The mirror maze was fun just because it was a bunch of us and we spent 15 minutes trying to maneuver through a small but confusing maze, it was more fun that we anticipated. Ripley's was just plane too small, you should not be able to see the exit as soon as you enter, that's just wrong especially considering how big most Ripley's attractions usually are (the one in Gatlinburg, TN takes hours to get through). Like I said, I wasn't looking for anything spectacular on this trip so it wasn't a huge letdown. It's a place that locals can hang out at as well as nearby visitors but if I came from across the country (actually I did), I would have been very disappointed.
What a great time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! My family and I went to show my little niece the animals she had an amazing time, and so did the adults. Theres so much to see and they have all kinds of different sea animals. Theres also a really cool little submarine show with a room that spins. All in all great place for kids and adults with minds alike. Have fun people!
It's a good place with a great aquarium. Went for the winter festival and have been to another event like that there and they are vendors and not a lot of activities or stuff for kids to do that it's sold as.
A decent collection of things to do, but everything is extremely expensive at around $45 per person for each activity. The shops and restaurants are also very pricey. Seems like a trap to price gouge tourists.
Very cool collection of exibits. The aquarium is top notch.
The attractions and shops are well worth it. A lot of fun. BEWARE! purchased tickets online. Confirmation email reflected incorrectly. A few days of calling the website support was fruitless. Messages left and never answered. Day of going there we were told at the box office that "it's a different system, you need to call their support". Tried to get the online tickets refunded to purchase tickets on site and they attempted to refund the tickets for about 200.00 USD less than paid. Was a real pain trying to get what was paid. For. Odysea, pangea, Ripley's qere cool and fun. Site management is hurting them.
This place was a lot more fun than I was expecting! A landlocked aquarium sounds like a bad idea to begin with & I understand that they had problems with dolphins dying a LOT, but it seems like they've switched to sharks so hopefully that's all in the past. The biggest deal/fun surprise for me was the sloth!! Who expects surprise sloths at an aquarium?!? She was very active when we were there and it was a real joy to watch!
Due to some unfortunate circumstances we were locked inside for hours. The staff was amazing and the facility more than generous considering it was not their fault we were on lock down. And of course the exhibits as always were dazzling ,awesome ,wondrous, can not say enough about them either. Every time we go their is always something new and exciting to see!!
It is a great family experience 😊 will definitely be coming back 🙂 …
Definitely a cute little area for the aquarium. A couple places to eat, a bunch of photo spots, and a little fountain walkway. Nicely built.
This place has fun written all over it. Once you get here you'll find so many activities to do. There is a freezer room to play in besides the gorgeous fish that are here. There is a bar if you want and even bumper boats. Get here early if you plan to do more than one activity as you will get lost on all the fun you'll be having!
A lot of fun shops to visit without having to go to far from Phoenix.
I really enjoyed the aquarium. The exhibits were nice and there were animals I had not seen before. Their rotating aquarium was really cool as well. I recommend the front row. My only concern was that throughout the aquarium, they talk about how bad water bottles and plastic bags are, yet they sell water bottles and I did not see any recycling bins for them. Why not sell Boxed Water? Much better for the environment, much healthier for humans. When checking out in the gift shop, they do not have plastic or paper bags because they are trying to be environmentally friendly, oh and trying to make more money as they do sell reusable shopping bags instead. Overall it was a great experience except for the half attempt at being environmentally friendly.
The aquarium is beautiful. It takes more than 2-3 hours just to travel the whole aquarium from the beginning.
A bit expensive but good.
You should go with the package of Aquarium with the dino park.
The drive till here is hectic but post that you would love this place.
Kids will definitely learn something good and fishes are well fishes but very pretty.
Ended up buying the year pass, my 3 year old daughter loves this place. I think it's very well laid out; I like the 'flow through' layout as opposed to the traditional open layout where people wander aimlessly. My daughter loves the multiple touch pools and the water flow table). We try to make it once a month and always have a great time!
Love it so much but it needs to be more vibrant and filled with more shops otherwise it looks dead
It was a nice aquarium with a variety of species. Their sharks are really big, and the penguin exhibit is fun, but I feel it was over priced. We did have a good time and kept my 2 year old occupied for 2 hours.
In a massive tourist complex, so prepare to spend all your money. A well-designed aquarium with many fun species. It's definitely not the biggest aquarium I've ever been to having lived on the coasts, but the layout is well done so that traffic flows smoothly and I didn't feel crammed in with screaming kids at any point. Almost the entire thing is pretty darkly lit so that you feel you're underwater, which I loved. Quite humid too, which was nice. Don't miss the shark bathroom on the way in like we did, now I'll have to visit again. The touch pools are cool and the ride is just like the one in Jurassic Park, but better.
This complex has different venues and various places to eat. We visited the Titanic exhibition, the aquarium and the dinosaur exhibit. Although pricey, the Titanic was interesting and informative. The Odysea aquarium was excellent. The dinosaurs were more for kids, but very well done. We had lunch at the Panagea grill. The fish and chips was excellent and so were the hamburgers. Adam, the owner was very helpful and friendly.
The best experience that I have ever had at an aquarium. The whole museum led you down a guided path that was full of exotic animals and ended up with a really great deep sea adventure.
They really do save the best for last. The cool thing was that it was all good.
A great aquarium, geared more for younger children - petting stingrays and starfish. But it does have other really cool exhibits like penguins, otters, and an awesome theatre that rotates and allows you to view five separate tanks. A fairly decent food court, mid-priced food. Lots of stroller and wheelchair ramp and elevators. It's two stories, plan on at least a 2 hour trip.
I love this place. It is so relaxing
Wonderful place! Children play places, tons of educational boards and even an educational speaker show in the aquarium. There's a bunch of nice stores as well. And, the bathroom on the entrance floor even has a window to the shark aquarium!
Such an incredible place!!! So many adventure like places such as the aquarium, dolphin show, and the huge butterfly pavilion. Great restaurants and even a good aqua massage place (Vitality) for after a long day of walking. We spent the entire day there and still didn't see everything. It's a great treat hidden in the desert!
Playing in the bubbles was a lot of fun, and the dinosaur costume was awesome. It's a little pricey to do things here, you going to participate in any of the attractions they can be expensive is over $15 per person. The candy store was reasonable and had great variety and product.
I haven't been to many large aquariums, but this one seems to be pretty good. They have some great looking attractions plus lots to do for kids. Quite honestly though, make sure you stop at the bathrooms when you first enter (to the left of the escalators). I know that it sounds weird, but it's definitely one of the best parts of the aquarium.
So much to do in one spot. Bring plenty of cash though
Overall a nice place to bring family or go on a date or if you need something to do. There's a lot of cool food places here and many exhibits to go through.
Really fun, got the dino event ticked ready and waiting for an inclement day🧭
Or whenever I fancy! Till ten...
CU🕶 …
There is so much too do here we are planning on going back sometime soon.
This is quite a place. Shopping, dinning and a great attraction. Went there not sure what to expect and ended up totally enjoying it. Odysea was great and I recommend doing the Sea Trek. With Sea Trek you have the opportunity to dive in the aquarium. Fish, stingrays all around you and your able to take pictures and videos of your dive. There also so many great things to see I can't even begin to cover them. Want a great time? Make sure you make it here.
Very informational and a little haunting seeing personal items that belonged to victims of this tragedy, and very cold inside. Not a bad thing at all during the summer, but you might want to bring a jacket. Every visitor gets a unique entrance card that is a mini-replica of the boarding ticket complete with the name of someone who may or may not have survived. Confirmation of these are provided at the very end of the exhibit. Also, make sure your kids keep their hands off the exhibits cases. The alarms went off 3 times because of kids.
Nice area, had a live band playing when we were there, restrooms were very clean, area itself was also very clean. There are places to eat and sit around and relax.
Fun place! Lots of options, my favorites were the aquarium, and body's revealed! Pangaea is for the smaller kids and my teen age son who still loves dinosaurs was def not impressed. Haven't gone to all the attractions yet so new to come. Lots of options for food too and they have a nice courtyard where there's live music on some evenings as well. Great place!!
We went to Odysea and Pangea. As a parent I really enjoyed the aquarium, they're was a lot to look at and species is never seen in other aquariums. Not a lot of interactive things so my kids were zooming through.
Pangea was a let down for me but my kids loved it. It was smaller than I expected and the animatronics were cheesy but the kids ate it up. They also had several hands on activities like digging a dino out of a clay egg that they enjoyed.
Me and my Boyfriend took my two children here and it's a wonderful concept. The problem is that the prices are super expensive for a short viewing. There are just not a lot to see. You're more than likely going to spend more time at the various shops located there.
Wish we would have known this place was more than the word of mouth lead us on to believe. There was so much to see and do, we could have spent a lot more time here. There were even a few different places with the price of general admission where you could actually touch the fish, including stingrays, anemones, starfish, and many other fresh and salt water marine animals. Google says most people spend 2 hours here, we could have spent all day! If you're on the fence about going, just do it, it's worth it.
What a great aquarium! So many forms if sea life to get to see. Large area where you can touch sea life. Don't forget to ride the submarine into the depths of the sea and get to know more about the oceans animals up close and personal. All included in the price of your ticket!
Very interesting. I had no idea that the whole thing is set up more like a mini strip mall with the center being an outdoor courtyard. So you can be outside, walk around and pick where to eat, drink, and what activities you want to participate in for the day. Will be going back since I love that it was kid friendly and encourages being outside as much as inside. Also there is a dinasour restaurant there I need to take my son to for sure.
Not bad. Well maintained and pretty nice. Provides all the access to the various attractions. None of the restaurants you probably should bother with. Word is they're overpriced and underwhelming.
Facilities were clean and social distancing measures were in place. Kids Enjoyed it. Food was good. Great place to spend a few hours with your little tax deductions.
My nanny kid and I have a membership here and go at least twice a week! It's great fun and we like walking around. However, the outlets need to be covered with child protectors. Yes we caregivers do our best to keep up with our kiddos but all it takes is one second for your child to get hurt.
Great area to have a small bite while enjoying the sun between all the lovely activities in this center. I would recommend checking it out.
Always been such a fun place with lots to do but extremely dead npw with Covid so hopefully it will come back to life. We went to the Titanic exhibit but its gone now however the aquarium is still open and trully amazing! Lots of little ice cream.and candy places everyone should go check out and support!!
Doesn't live up to it's potential.
As of this review, there aren't any dolphins, but the shark attraction, jellyfish, and rotating room are really cool!! Great educational information on different species, rehabilitation for injured animals, as well as a few touch tanks and exhibits for kids. Better than SeaLife in my opinion, and absolutely more to see.
It was a great day! Something for everyone! The aquarium is a must, also visited Ripley's Believe It or Not. Variety of places to eat also.
Enjoyable time.
Clean and well maintained.
This place is really awesome there was an aquarium butterfly House Believe It or not museum the staff here is really friendly there are places to get snack foods Pizza photo opportunities. Really just a fun family place
This was a fun trip. Lots of neat things to do around here. Easy to spend all day. Reason for 4 stars is I would consider it a little more of a seasonal place summer time would be a little less enjoyable for kids running around and what not.
This place is so pretty and has so much to do and the Johnny 🚀 staff is amazing …
Awesome for the whole family, not just kids, or fish lovers. There are so many things to do, from trains, to gift shops. Food court, plus Butterfly museum, just a full day of fun. And yes the fish... don't forget the fish.
It had some good parts to it. There was a huge reptile exhibit outdoors when I last visited, as well as some events. The pictures are a little pricey, but it's what you'd expect for an animal park.
Kids enjoyed playing by the fountain & the ice cream store stayed open long enough for the kids to grab a quick scoop which was awesome!
Nice variety of things to do but the butterfly world is really the only one worth the price of admission.
The dinosaur restaurant had surprisingly good gyro meat. The tzatziki sauce was really good. The humus was a mistake.
The special events they are doing are nice. Good family fun. Definitely got me to bring my kids there. I'm more willing to go back now. Some of the attractions are over priced for what they are. You're looking at a few hundred dollars per person if you want to do everything. If they were charging $40-$50ish for the whole day to do everything, I might consider that.
Always fun (free) activities to take the family too at the Arizona boardwalk.
Brought my daughter here to celebrate her birthday. She had so much fun. The only thing that was disappointing to her was not being able to touch the sting rays (she couldn't reach deep enough in the water). Other than that, we all had a blast. Looking forward to next time!
Tourist trap and with covid there are very long lines to the butterfly exhibit and the aquarium which are probably the best things there to see. The rest (ripley's believe it or not, candy shop, illusion exhibit, lazer and mirror maze, etc) are money traps and not really worth the cost.
Went to the butterfly exhibit, very educational tour. Then went to lunch upstairs at pizza time. There are A lot of nice gift shops throughout the area. Once you park your car it is so much to do.
Very clean! I was impressed with the whole place! Visiting here was an overall enjoyable experience!
Its a really cool place. For adults and kids. You're able to touch some fishes for I believe about 20 or 30 mins then they give them a break for 10 mins. They have otters, penguins and even Birds. They have a little movie clip about whales its 3D so that's pretty cool and they also have a submarine setting in one of the rooms the floor moves while and transfers you into another room and you get to see different types of sea life like sea lions, Turtles, fishes and even sharks. They tell you how they saved the sea life from either a boat, the fishermen, or the debris inside the sea. It's a really amazing place very preferable for kids I'm sure they were all love it.
So many sm. shops! Amazing how namy people.were there but it didn't seem crowded. Hubby and I went to see the aquarium
And spend the day. It was worth it. Many shops had tourist prices
But if you look really look you can find a few things you like.
Kids loved it. Aquarium was the best Ive been to. Nice little place to spend the afternoon.
We visited the butterfly sanctuary and I loved it so much! I loved the 3D video on the migration monarch butterflies, it was so interesting and the most realistic 3D film I've seen. It was very impressive. Seeing butterflies emerge from their cocoons was amazing. And walking among them as they flew around was just so cool. Afterwards, we saw bugs and amphibians and sea life. Very much work the money!
Even if you don't go inside anywhere, your kids can probably entertain themselves just running around here. I know my 2 year old does and it's awesome for both of us!
Nice place to view a U.S. Arizona memorial. Be sure to pick up a brochure as it will be helpful to understand the memorial as you walk around. Best to visit in the evening after dark
We always take the family here whenever we're in Phoenix! Not only is there a ton to do to get the kids tired but they get to learn about so many different sea animals. There's an exhibit where you get to pet stingrays and other assorted fish. It's not a cheap trip but worth it every time!!!!!
I enjoyed the experience! Lots of great exhibits. Some exhibits lacked fish identification plaques but most were there. Great variety of both fresh and salt water species.
Great place for families. A ton to see, especially for an aquarium in the desert, and there's a lot to interact with. There's at least three petting tanks for rays, sharks and other sea life. There's also a "ride" that takes you on a tour of the big tanks. And, they have some sweet bathrooms that they're really proud of (must see).
Excellent place to visit and spend the day - but be sure to get combo tickets to make it cost effective. we went the Butterfly Wonderland and OdySea aquarium and Mirror Maze. All were well worth it. good for kids, fun for adults.
It was great!!! I went with my grandson for his 5th birthday!! The highlight for his day, the bumper boats!! We toured the aquarium, had a late lunch at the Lighthouse, petted some fish and rays!! Time to leave and head out for the bumper boats!! They were CLOSED!!! The Aquarium closes at 7, it was 5:07 PM. They closed at 5. Poor kiddo was heartbroken 💔. They should tell people who purchase ride tickets that it closes at 5....
The boardwalk itself is free and is really cool and has lots of good photo ops and different shops, restaurants and venues to choose from.
Nice and clean area. The shops had some very interesting things and the staff in each place were attentive and nice.
The boardwalk has a cute candy shop that somehow managed to create a price point above gas station candy but dem cinnamon bears tho. The bears were delicious and the water fountains and walking areas looked wonderful. And all I did was look at the boardwalk because it was a toasty one that day and I for sure wasn’t going to exert myself more than necessary.
So awesome! Great animals and sea creatures. God is so creative! Can't attribute such design and functionality to evolution. Only a brilliant methodical mind could come up with these creatures! Wonderful experience!
Went there for OdySea. Great acquarium experience. Many other attractions including Ripley's Believe it Or Not, and a variety of eating places including Johnny Rockets. Fun time.
It was a fun little place, but way overpriced for only about 2 hours of entertainment. I would expect it to be about half the price it was, and the price of membership is just crazy. If you want to buy the one picture they take of you, it's another $60 for that.
Went for the bodies revealed exhibit and was blown away. Incredibly curated and had the utmost respect for the bodies allowing no photography or videos. This visit has got me to buy a annual pass so I can check out the rest of the place!
Pretty cool spot. The butterfly exhibit looks super cool. Very touristy and pricey for what it is. Still worth one trip.
This place was awesome. A ton of things to do here. Aquarium and butterfly house was awesome. Part of my out west tour. If you are in Phoenix stop by.
Honestly really great experience, sloths I went on a time crunch, I still feel like I got a thorough experience. A lot of of the learning is in reading the signs all it encourages being up close with the fishes, but they have touch pools too so you can get a little hands on as well (just make sure to wash your hands)
My family and I love this place you have fun and learn a lot about ocean life, great addition Arizona
Kids went to mirror maze. Had a blast we were able to sit and watch most of the maze on video while listening to an excellent selection of music. They even had snow in the middle of the facility. Two thumbs up 👍 👍 definitely and prices seem pretty fair. …
A great place to bring family and friends. There is shopping, dinning, entertainment, candy store, mineral shop, Ice bar, restaurant, a place for cocktails. A great roof top view of the city and surrounding desert landscape. Tons of fun!
Went there for work on a field trip. It is as too crowded, a co-worker & I were watching 15 kids, they told us we couldn't use bathrooms by entrance, so we had to go thru a long curvy crowded aquarium with kids that had to use the bathroom, it was awful. If they would've just let us use the restrooms, it would've been fine. Even if we had to wait, only go 1 or 2 at a time... Not even offered. I enjoyed a previous visit much much more, they took on TOO MANY kids/people!!! ⚠️Warning if you're going to book a trip w/group of kids, you might want to find out how close to capacity they are, because it was ridiculously filled up & hard to get a group through! Thank God we named our group Before we went inside (hint-hint)!
It’s not here, but I really enjoyed going to the Titanic exhibit when it was here.
Came for the foam party memorial day weekend. Very fun time. Food places were open
Family fun with a nice aquarium, candy store, shopping, bumper boats, and restaurants. Nice outdoor area to relax and you can eat outside, too. The butterflies are amazing! Skip the mirror maze and laser area, it’s overpriced and small.
Had a great time. Kids and adults enjoyed it. Food court was decent, nothing special. Gift shop was a little expensive but they have really good souvenirs. Lots of shops around it to walk around to also. We will absolutely return
Lots of fun things to do! It's worth stopping at on the way to anywhere, pretty affordable as far as legitimate attractions go. Worth the drive from Tucson!
Lots of different activities all in one location. If you are wanting a nice, relaxing day, you can spend a few hours at the Butterfly Wonderland, or even Oddysea Aquarium. There's Suprise Your Eyes, which is also a lot of fun, where you can take pictures with various objects and paintings to appear like your in the scene. There are restaurants to enjoy and just an overall fun experience.
I had so much fun and got some really wonderful photos for my portfolio. The food court area smelled like fish really bad so I didnt want to eat. 3 others in our party of 10 did eat and said the food was good.
Having the annual pass for the Aquarium helps a lot, making the bumper-boats and kiddie-train free attractions. They have events every other week or so that my daughter really enjoys, like bubble-foam\water-slide parties, and free kids movies showing in their courtyard.
