Reviews of Benjamin Franklin Bridge
The Ben Franklin Bridge is the best looking bridge in the area in my opinion, it's beautiful. It's got a classic, timeless look to it. I always love taking pictures when we're driving over it. I have yet to walk across it on the sidewalks it has on the sides, but I would love to! It would definitely be an awesome spot for pictures.
A great bridge that crosses the Delaware River. Its one of the best looking bridges in the US. It just has a classic look that I love. Walking across is a treat that you should do on a day with good weather.
This is another great bridge, actually, I think it looks better than all the NYC bridges. Built in 1926, it was designed by Leon Moisseiff who also designed the Manhattan bridge. This is the best way to visit the USS New Jersey from Philadelphia, just cross the bridge, walk through the Rutgers campus and you are right there. I love the pedestrian walkway, there are some really great viewpoints from up there.
So happy to have been able to take a walk on the bridge and feel the wind when it was so hot in Philly. Really worth it to be high up. It says that it closes at 8 but it closed at 9 pm (in July) and there was a police in a small car so you could not get forgotten in the middle of the bridge.
It's really something to try. It's free and gives you a beautiful view and a beautiful sunset if you pick the right time.
The pedestrian entrance is at 232 N 5th street.
Nice bridge. Got me from Jersey to Philly without having to swim or find a boat. I was able to enjoy a nice view for 30 min while traffic was stopped for the President to leave the area.
After the Brooklyn Bridge, of course, we also had to go to Benjamin Franklin Bridge in Philly. Our guide had also recommended it - thank you Tim 😉 unfortunately, the footpath is not so well signposted, but we had found it looking for something. The view is also great and impressive here. It would be nice if there were seating from time to time.
My first experience with this bridge was when my wife and I accidentally crossed it into New Jersey. The second time, I was intentionally heading to Jersey hunting for Halloween costumes. This time I was happy to fully experience the bridge by bike. On the Philly side, the entrance for pedestrians is on 5th and Race.
The bridge opened on July 1, 1926 as part of the Sesquicentennial Exposition celebrating the nation's 150th birthday. Upon completion, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world, but lost the title to the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit three years later. It was originally painted by the same company that painted the Golden Gate Bridge.
Highly recommend at least a short walk along the bridge and checking out the nearby Franklin Square and Bolt of Lightning Sculpture.
The Benjamin Franklin Bridge, originally named the Delaware River Bridge and known locally as the Ben Franklin Bridge, is a suspension bridge across the Delaware River connecting Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Camden, New Jersey. Owned and operated by the Delaware River Port Authority, it is one of four primary vehicular bridges between Philadelphia and southern New Jersey, along with the Betsy Ross, Walt Whitman, and Tacony-Palmyra bridges. It carries Interstate 676/U.S. Route 30, pedestrians/cyclists, and the PATCO Speedline.
Super cool bridge when crossing over it. Very busy traffic good skyline views.
Walked down Race Street to Race Pier for a great view of the Bridge 🌉 Lovely walkway well maintained and accessible. …
***Cash or E-ZPass ONLY***
The toll is $5 for westbound passenger cars (entering Pennsylvania). There is no toll to go from Pennsylvania to New Jersey. We were back and forth across the bridge at least once a day Friday through Tuesday in July, at all times of day and we never got stuck in a traffic backup. There is also a pedestrian walkway.
Be sure to pay attention to the signs and info on the website regarding times - the bridge is not open 24/7 for pedestrians. Nice view, wide sidewalk, clean and upkept. Gentle incline and descent.
Beauty place to connection New Jersey and Philadelphia, very safe and very clean to the pedestrians.
Easy, out of the norm walk! Across and back is just about 3.2 miles total so its very manageable. Allows for some GREAT views of Philadelphia. Only downside is the parking situation is not ideal, minimal parking on both sides of the bridge.
Unfortunately I haven't walked on the bridge yet but I have seen it from both the Philly and Jersey side. Camden definitely had the nice view I think. I think bridges are just general a sight to see and this won't disappoint you.
It was our first time walking on the bridge, perfect weather without crowd.it was so easy to do street parking. Highly recommend to anyone.
The RCA pier is so very beautiful! I was amazed at the beauty, hard work and effort put into this pier. The views are breathtaking when the sun sets and the lights come on in the surrounding area. It is a awesome addition to cleaning up Camden and making it what it should look like! I recommend anyone to go there to relax, listen to entertainment or take pics!
An awe-inspiring piece of engineering.
Although the bridge itself lacks in style when pit against its competitors such as Tower Bridge in London, it makes up for it with its sheer size, spiffing good views and seemingly never-ending length.
I highly recommend visiting during sunset for some incredibly romantic walks and Instagrammable moments.
There are many views in daylight, twilight, night, light-show, above and below, that make this beautiful suspension bridge magical in its own right. As major span over the Delaware River connecting Philadelphia PA and Camden NJ, carrying traffic for US Routes 676 & 30 and it was opened in July 1926. A bit of trivia, also in 1926 US Route 30 became the east–west main route of the system of United States Numbered Highways. Today US 30 is still the 3rd longest numbered US highway at 3,070 miles, anchored in the East by Atlantic City NJ and in the West by Astoria OR. The Ben Franklin Bridge and the Golden Gate Bridge other than both being suspension bridges also, both were originally painted by the same Philadelphia painting contractor. Enjoy
Historic bridge with great views of center city Philadelphia ; Penns Landing; the Camden Aquarium; Battleships and Camden Yards.
One of the best and shortest hikes you could take in Philadelphia. To marvel at engineering close up and also take in the breathtaking views of Philly.
Awesome walk.. last time I walked this bridge I was 13 years old.. walking this bridge is great.. brought back a lot of memories..
poor place to park. homeless people live under the bridge and why does it cost$5 to leave NJ Free to return? I guess they don't want you leaving New Jersey, which explains the 2% exit tax if you sell your house and move. what I don't understand is why trucks are required to stay to the right so when you come across the top of the bridge all of the trucks are going left to get on 676 lots of accidents happen here stay away from the New Jersey Transit buses they don't check their mirrors. what's really cool is you get to watch the trains come across the bridge sometimes and then you can race them and see if he can go faster than they do. the speed limit for the trains is supposed to be like 40 miles an hour in that area but there's no cameras on them right there so sometimes they go a lot faster I think it would be cool to take a ride on one of those trains and see where it goes somebody said it goes way down the tracks and I believe them I don't think that stops at the base of the bridge, but then again I don't think anybody really would want to stop at the base of the bridge is all full of homeless people somebody should go feed them they all look hungry and they're always begging for money but whatever you do don't give them money give them food or like a Wawa gift card
A beautiful place to retreat to when you need a temporary unwind. It overlooks both Philadelphia and Camden. Perfect for pictures!
Not quite as visually impressive as the Brooklyn or Manhattan, but this bridge is still beautiful in its own rite. And as a way of crossing the Delaware, it is pretty and convenient
The bridge was dedicated as part of the 1926 Sesquicentennial Exposition, celebrating the 150th anniversary of the signing of the United States Declaration of Independence. From 1926 to 1929, it had the longest single span of any suspension bridge in the world.
One of the best place in Philly. It's very windy up there.
I walked over the bridge to get to Adventure Aquarium. Nice views of Philadelphia skyline and Battleship New Jersey. A protected walkway just watch out for cyclists.
I feel like everyone should walk the bridge, at least, once! It was a great experience! Now that I've walked the bridge, I always view the Ben Franklin bridge differently whenever I drive through it 🙂 …
I've been driving over the Ben Franklin Bridge for a very long time now and a few weeks ago was my first time riding my bike over it. What a great experience.. beautiful view and wide enough path. It is a bit tricky to get to from the Philly side depending on where you're coming from. Just make sure to follow proper signs and bike lanes.
It is currently only open on one side.. Camden going into Philly. Which would be the left side from Philly and right side from Camden. They are working on replacing the stairways with a ramp on the Camden side to make it more accessible. Scheduled to be completed Spring 2019.
Also, just to state the obvious.. remember you'll be going uphill once entering the path from both ends.. but whatever goes up must come down. Have your brakes ready, enjoy!
Got beautiful views of city and water. Perfect paradise for photographers to capture sunset.
A beautiful bridge connecting two states. We walked across it from Philly to Jersey and had the best time! It is stunning when it is lit up at night.
Beautiful, hard ride up and fun one down. I recommend a bike, preferably with good breaks for the way down. It is kind of confusing getting onto the bridge from the Philly side and painful getting on/off the Camden side. They have stairs with a ramp on top of the right most part (coming up) and a long narrow part where you cannot ride your bike. The Philly side is just as you'd expect it, the long wider iconic part of the pedestrian bridge and no stairs. The pedestrian bridge closes at 9pm.
Great views. A free path to run/walk across the bridge is available. The entrance to the bridge, on the Philadelphia side, is next to the "Bolt of Lightning", which you can put into Google Maps to find.
If you are going from New Jersey to Philadelphia, it's $5 toll. No toll going from Philadelphia to NJ.
Walked the 10k run this weekend. Lol beautiful day and really cool being on the bridge. It is amazing.
Standing so close to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge with my husband at the Race Street pier underneath the moon was so romantic. Magical.
My second time to the great city of Philadelphia. I must say I have seen some cool bridges but the Benjamin Franklin is one of my top faves. Definitely recommend checking the big guy out.
The Benjamin Franklin Bridge is to Philadelphia what the Manhattan Bridge is to New York. Equally iconic status. This bridge is - again, like in NYC - one of several bridges in Philly. However, unlike in NYC, Ben Franklin Bridge spans two states too! Google this.
Anyway, the bridge is just incredible in it's construct and astounding in its span. Photographing yourself next to it and then on it - should be on your bucket list if you're heading to Philadelphia for a visit. The visit is hardly complete without that picture!
One of several bridges to Philly. Easy to cross. Toll is currently $5.00 paid at the toll on the Jersey side as you head to Philly. There is no charge when coming from Philly to Jersey. ( 3/30/2018 ) The have some cash lanes and some Easypass lanes.
Great view of the city. Easy hike up the bridge.
I love this bridge and have so many pics the steel workmen ship and knowledge it took to put it up
Not much to say about it. It's a bridge that crosses the Delaware River into Camden new Jersey, You can Drive, Walk, Or take PATCO to get across it. The walk is nice considering the fact I'm terrified of heights especially like this bridge, But it really isn't bad. And once you're in the middle of it looking down isn't even that bad. I believe it's a Mile or 1.5 miles to go over.
One of the best walks or runs to enjoy the view. Definitely around sunset …..
It's a cool spot for jogging or for a walk and relax clear you're mine up.
Wow! I like Bridges, which pedestrians could use and be excited. Thank you, Phila, for Ben Bridge!!!
One of the best views of Philly! Good exercise too. Don't try this if you are really afraid of heights, although I did not find it threatening at all. To bad they don't let you into the towers.
Was jogging on it with a friend when one of his airpods flew out and fell down to the train tracks below where it was subsequently hit by a train and launched into the river. 10/10
Nice bridge if you take the time to stop and enjoy the view.
Very solid bridge aesthetically. It's not Brooklyn or Manhattan bridge but still very nice.
Hmmm rate a bridge you say? OK, well...🤔 It allows you to drive over it from one side to another so I guess that's 5 stars. …
It’s free and amazing to walk and get a glance of the great views from the middle of the bridge.
Great way to enjoy the moment🪡👌🏾 …
Favorite spot to watch the days end and the sun go down. Walk across this beautiful bridge!
It’s a beautiful place for you to have an evening walk. We went there to see a sunset and it was amazing.
Love this bridge, fun place to walk.
I cross over the bridge every day twice a day its smooth most of the time but u still need to be aware of all the crazy drivers on there phone I wish they would just drive and pay attention only time jammed up is if there is a accident or doing road work it's like any were at rush hour
Perfect place for a boot camp and catching spectacular sunrise
I've heard it's a great bridge to walk/run on for great views of the city. Never had a problem driving on it, though I don't do it often so that may be why.
Amazing view. Be careful with parking here. The bridge changes colors over the water front view. 🌉 …
Well maintained historic bridge. I crossed by foot. Philly to new jersey.
The bike/walking path is wide enough to pass and raised above the car lanes. The river is beautiful!!
One of my most favorite place with amazing view
It was a great form of exercise on a great spring day
We walked over to Camden and Back a great way to see the two Cities.
Wonderful views from the pier. Great place to workout or relax.
Very nice place to visit love going across the bridge between Philly and New Jersey
My experience was pretty good direction they gave me was accurate
This bridge is definitely beautiful as you look over the river!
Easily accessible for all via Old City or Camden. I will note Old City entrance is a little less accommodating, than Camden's entrance, for those traveling by wheel.
One way is about 2.5 km (1.6 mi)
The security, surveillance, and maintenance is more than appreciated 🙏
It is well light during dawn and dusk hours.
An excellent path to get you from A <--> B. A superb path for staying healthy 💚
Good nice bridge ..37$ for trucks to cross ..and nice view ..
Great place for a walk! Nice views of the city
I drive over this bridge daily. I love living near it! It's a local symbol of greatness!
Take the two mile stroll across the bridge. Great view of the skyline and the river below.
Great walk with awesome views of Philadelphia and New Jersey.
Just driving over the bridge to go to Philadelphia pretty quiet day for this time
Such a nice walk. You should try it!
I hung out under this bridge for a few minutes while walking to my hotel. Great scenery.
Very cool bridge! Easy to access to and from. You get a great view of the city coming in and it really introduces you to Philadelphia.
It's stunning at night. I understand why but I don't enjoy that this particular park closes at a certain time. There's enough security that people who are just night owls, not doing anything nefarious except meditating or taking pictures, should be able to accomplish those goals. Again, I get it, it just sucks. Also saw a beaver! 🦫 …
Came for a sunrise walk. Really nice views!
Been going across this bridge my whole life and what can I say it's a Ben Franklin bridge the sites are great and the traffic sucks
My favorite chill place in philly.
New ADA accessible walkway was great!
Beautiful bridge. Fun to cross on bike!
Great views, people usually used this bridge for exercising and working out, taking long walks. You can see the Patco train running back and forth. Then go over to Philadelphia to the park on 6th and race relax and grab some drinks, food, and use the restroom.
A great walk for exercise and views
Great to walk by. They're really good places to eat nearby the bridge like La peg.
My favourite bridge to walk/ ride a bicycle or take PATCO Train on. Great bridge to take pictures. Good history to learn about. There is also an abandoned trolley station under the lightning rod on the Philly side. A lot of people don't know about. Check out the whole bridge when you have time.
Beautiful bridge over the Delaware River
It has been my daily bicycle commuter on and off for the last ten years. So it's kind of a love hate relationship, but either way, it has brought so much value to my life. Fitness, good views, a place to being people visiting, and an easy bicycle connector to Philly for me, as a Camden resident.
Beautiful walk or run! Amazing views and very well kept/clean
Really nice bridge. But only open one side because of safety concern
It aint the Brooklyn bridge yet still a bridge.
In addition of having $4 dollars to pass this bridge, each automobile rider should tight his/her seatbelt while passing this bridge. (exception for bus riders excluding the bus driver)
I don't know if you can walk such a bridge, but it will be nice to do so specially in summer time, and I would be imagine it cost $0 us dollars.
Visited Philly and Camden, noticed the Jersey side was newly renovated very nice waterfront area and hotels. However, quite desolate under the current circumstances. Hope to see activity soon!
I absolutely love going here today the family and I walk from Camden to the Philly side. A few slices of pizza enjoy them and then took a leisurely walk back it was awesome time very very highly recommend doing this. If you're ever in the area and have the ability to go walk across I recommended it's an awesome experience
I prefer this bridge over the Walt Whitman when I need to go into the city, but a bridge is a bridge. They aren't currently sanding or painting, but when they do, this one takes forever and it seems like it goes on for months every time they need to, and they need to very often for some reason.
There's a path you can walk or bike, which I love, and the Delaware Port Authority takes good care of the path, making me feel safe with a car always somewhere along the halfway point of the bridge, or a patrol somewhere on or near it.
Maybe not as iconic as the Golden Gate Bridge, but the Ben is really a beauty. We enjoy walking up to the mid span on New Year's Eve to watch the fireworks over the Delaware River. Yes, it seems like they are always painting it, and rush hours can be stop and go. But it's beautiful at night.
This is my favorite bridge. You can walk accross it during daylight hours, which I highly recommend! They switch the lanes with a giant zipper machine to widen the lane that will get more traffic which is cool. Also you can ride the patco over the bridge as well. Great bridge
Being down there by the Delaware river one really feels a sense that they have escaped the city. The breeze and view of the rushing water are fantastic. And since I ride on PATCO fairly frequently, I really enjoyed watching it race by above my head on the underside of the bridge. The Ghost Ship was also just beautiful. A little abstract but a sight to see nonetheless. I hope to go back before the weather gets too chilly. Also Rip Taylor died that night so here is a photo of him. RIP Rip. I think he'd appreciate that.
Alot to see and do, they are doing a lot of construction and building up down there
My Sistah(s) Walked the Bridge to Conquer Covid-19 Fatigue and to Connect thru Walking in Social Distancing
Big ben gonna be stomping
This huge bridge has it all. You can cross it by car or take the patco train across it. It has 2 huge walkways on both sides and you can ride your bicycle over it too. Has the best views of camden and philly too. The bridge is always being taken care of so its pretty safe for being big. At night time it has cool lights so you can take pictures of it from different angles. Check out the lightening bolt sculpture at the end of the bridge!
Smooth Sailing to your Destination and back safely.
Philly's own Big Ben
Great place to walk/bike/drive into/out of Philly. Traffic never seems that bad and the incline isn't too bad but nice to burn a few more calories over just walking.
Nice place to take photos from and usually people walking across are friendly or keep to themselves.
The bridge is walkable, so you can go on a stroll and get some good pictures. It is 1 3/4 miles one way, so plan a good amount of time to walk the whole thing.
#LetsGuide. Bridge with a wide and imposing structure. The place offers a lush view all around you. And above all has pedestrian paths and organized cyclists. A true tourist and postal point that the city of Philadelphia has to offer. By car the place has a toll with an acceptable price. If you think of one day getting to know this beautiful city do not forget to know this place the bridge of "Ben Franklin"
I love it. My picture is copyrighted to me. Don’t distribute or share with out using “Credi to Mohammed Al Juboori”
Thank you
Walked by this bridge on the way to The Roots Picnic 😎 its kinda smelly but beautiful with the all lights and restaurant's right on the water at night …
I've walked from Camden to Philadelphia a few times using this bridge. Knock yourself out and give it a try! Watch for joggers and bike riders. Great experience, get off your butt and get active!!! 3 stars for the experience...
A beautiful bridge and a marvel to human ingenuity. I mean, sure, it ain't the Golden Gate. Is it as impressive as Pittsburgh and their 97 bridges? Definitely nowhere near. But this steel construction will get you over the Delaware River without having to swim, and that's really all I feel fair rating a bridge for. Additionally it's lit up with pretty lights at night. Do I smoke my bong and watch them slowly shift? Get out of my head.
Also, very telling, there is a toll to escape NJ. That's how crappy it must be over there.
This spot by the bridge was just fantastic the view across the river into Philadelphia was just beautiful and looking at the colorful ferris wheel by Chick and Pete's is just eye catching I just love to park and enjoy the picturesque scenery
How beautiful is the city of Philly,
I use this bridge everytime I go to Jersey
Amazing views from the bridge and from around the bridge. There is a walking path well worth venturing out on.
Must walk on it at the sunset. Unbelievable construction and view of the Delaware riverside.
The Benjamin Franklin Bridge - "the Ben" is generally the quickest way into Center City and the Northeast from lower Camden County, NJ. It is often a more direct route when coming up from Gloucester County as well. It is a handsome blue suspension bridge named for Philadelphia's own founding father, Benjamin Franklin, who was himself a native of Boston, Massachusetts. It may be my own native bias but as a person born in Philadelphia and raised in South Jersey I feel this bridge looks much nicer than the GWB in North Jersey.
The bridge gets extra points for being walkable, which is a nice benefit compared to the Walt Whitman bridge. It also has old fashioned mysterious masonry buildings on either side. These were apparently designed to be used as trolley rail stations but this was never put into practice, they now are decorative stone pylons labeled "PHILADELPHIA" and "NEW JERSEY" on either side and give the bridge a unique look.
As bridges go this one is a keeper! It gets you over the water, feet dry, and a nice view along the way. At night it lights up.
Engineered by Leon Mosseiff, the same engineer for the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. (The bridge which famously blew apart in high winds)
Best not to think about that mid-crossing
This bridge is a treat to watch during the night and fun for the kids to play during the day!
Great historic bridge from the 1920s. There is a wide path on the side for bicycles and pedestrians, with spectacular views. You can also cross by train, with commuter PATCO trains to Cherry Hill and beyond
This bridge is so beautiful i love that u can walk or ride a bike thru it. The train that runz thru it is so cool and at night time its a great view of the city lights its a major trademark for philly and jersey. Beautiful place check it out
Beautiful
A great morning... or anytime workout! Great for a brisk walk, jog or even run. I see people riding bikes over but I'm not that brave! Lol!
Great walk, leads right into Independence Hall, 3 miles round trip.
This bridge has a good view of philly downtown.
It's a bridge- which helps people cross a large body of water! It's working well!
Delightful walk and its cool you can go to New Jersey so quickly.
I'm pretty shocked that you can rate a bridge on Google, but being that you can I guess I will do my best to tell you my thoughts. This bridge spans water...the Delaware River to be exact. It connects Camden New Jersey with Philadelphia Pennsylvania. If you need to get from Camden to Philadelphia, or less likely go from Philadelphia to Camden, then this bridge offers you the most direct route. There are 7 lanes on this bridge and the attendants adjust regularly which direction has 4 lanes vs those that have 3. I imagine this has to do with pre-determined traffic patterns which have probably been well researched. The toll to cross the bridge is $5 when traveling from New Jersey into Pennsylvania and both cash and EZ-Pass are accepted, which is nice. There is no toll to cross the bridge entering New Jersey, as no one without a clear purpose would ever want to drive into New Jersey. At night there are lights on the side of the bridge which create an artistic effect. Some of the lights on the north side of the bridge do not work and have not been changed in a long time...so this bridge only gets three stars.
The bridge is beautiful! Has a bike and walking path which will give you access to amazing views of the water and traffic below!
Easy stroll over to Philly and back great view.
The Ben Franklin Bridge (aka Delaware River Bridge) is a pretty awesome bridge. It might not be as old as the Brooklyn Bridge, but it's ours. For it's 75th anniversary they opened up the bridge for everyone to come inside & see. It's pretty awesome. It has marble floors & paintings as the base on each side was going to be a trolley station, but by the time it was finished the automobile had become so popular they never put the trolley system into service. Those beautiful trolley stations have sat unused for 93 years. I missed the opportunity to take a gander inside the bridge so you better believe I won't miss the 100 year anniversary.
The length of the bridge is less than 2 miles and free to walk! Great for a walk/run and for taking pictures. There is a fantastic view of everything
Its free to walk or bike. great views. great exercise
The pathway to walk to Philly is easily accessible from 5th street in Camden by Rutgers University. Simply pay at the meters or use the staff lot on Sunday and walk across. A nice bonus if you can pull up the Patco train station schedule to see the train coming over. If you want, walk to Philly, see the Liberty Bell, and take the Patco (get on at 8th and Market), ride back to Camden, City Hall exit, and walk towards Rutgers ( 10 min max) for a nice change of scenery. Masks must be worn outside in PA.
Light traffic on pedestrian path. Careful with cyclist. Views are amazing of both Philly and Camden
A nice walk between Philly and New Jersey the other side; it’s about 2 kilometres or so. Sadly not both sides are open all the time, although there are fantastic views from whichever side you’re on.
Mighty and picturesque bridge that is best seen (and photographed) from a comfortable distance. Great views along Penn's Landing, especially around sunset.
What a beautiful evening for a bridge walk!
What a lovely view on the bridge and under the bridge!!! Photographers would like to take photos of the bridge... Just beware of the neighborhood around the bridge... Inner Camden is not a place you want to go to.
Best way to get from New Jersey to Center City Philly. This is also the bridge the PATCO Speed Line goes across and there is a raised walkway for Bicycling, walking or running.
Got me across the Delaware-as advertised.
But that right lane eastbound is terribly rough in a tractor trailer
Connects Camden NJ and Philadelphia PA.
This bridge is 90 years old, and the DRPA did a great job on maintaining this bridge. This bridge closes occasionally for repairs. Also, there are many ways that you can cross this bridge: automobiles, PATCO speedline, and pedestrians (be careful in Camden.) This is also a good landmark to take pictures of. Unlike the Goethals Bridge in New York City, this bridge is in excellent condition.
Benjamin Franklin Bridge. Majestic metal bridge.
Love love love the views!!!!!! They are definitely better than any photo could capture!!!
The Benjamin Franklin Bridge is a nice place to see the overview of Camden and Philadelphia. Both cool to look at the perspective of seeing the bridge in both cities and seeing both cities from the bridge.
Good bridge either to walk over or to ride over either way gets you to Philadelphia or New Jersey fast never really had any problems here just sometimes traffic on the way back over to Philadelphia but other then that all good the toll both employees are fast I’ll be always taking this bridge with my family or taking a walk over with the wife watching the sunset either way it’s all good !!!
Excellent place to start a new day.
I talk this bridge every day for work. It's a bridge. It's beautiful. It's named after Philadelphia's most famous founding father. What more is there too say?
First time ever walking the bridge, best time to walk is late spring early Fall.
beautiful view and very clean. Big enough for safe distancing.
best views of philly
Big Ben is a beautiful bridge, but really gets jam packed with traffic at peak times. You can also walk over it if you choose.
A nice pedestrian bridge to jog or walk and enjoy the skylines. Just be aware of closing times or you might get stuck in the wrong state. Not that I've done that before...
I mean, it's alright. Overrated af though.
I always wanted to walk the bridge and to see how beautiful it was made it all the while it was peaceful to see the beauty that God made i walked with my son and loved ❤ it
Honestly it just is a much better photo of the Ben Franklin looking on to the philly skyline than it is from the Walt Whitman haha. And as far as which one to take, they both can get you to the same exact places so I'd say go with the least traffic and if going more northern jersey, take the Betsy Ross or Tacony Palmyra.
This bridge has never let me down. I can drive, bike or walk from one side to the other. It's truly the bridge of bridges. I call it Bridge-amin Franklin. I'm the only one who does. Love that bridge so much.
The most iconic bridge of Philadelphia, PA.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDGE BUT NEEDS A NAME CHANGE !
Amazing views 😍 the walk under the bridge is awesome! …
If Biking or even walking around the philly area, this is a "Must Do" it's only a mile but it's "uphill" in both directions. Great place for a unique photo op.
The cycling track is a must and the view from the top is mesmerizing looking at the river and the highrises.
The best view in all of Philadelphia.
BFB pedestrian walk is always the SH!! North side open. South side closed for construction. It looks like DRPA is finally spending our BILLIONS of dollars on something tangible.
Very nice view
Great bridge to walk. You can see Philadelphia in the distance, I highly suggest going at sunset for a great view of the city.
A very pretty bridge. I like taking this bridge to philly. The breeze feels amazing and the view is breathtaking!
I do enjoy driving over the Ben Franklin Bridge just everyone do me a favor slow down going into Philadelphia heading towards 95
It is a great piece of American architecture. Taking the pedestrian path from Phily side just have a break at one of the photo spots to shoot the picturesque Phily skyline.
Listen yall- this is a bridge for FAST people who know what they WANT and have the drive to GET it. This is a bridge for those who have embraced the 21st century in its hustle, it's power, and yes sometimes in its grit. Abandon your old footpaths and crawlways and PROPEL into a brighter tomorrow! The BFB is your causeway to suscess - will you pay the toll?
Who doesn't love the B Frank bridge?? Smooth pothole free just look out for those sharp turns on the ends. 😂😂😂 …
GREAT FOR EXERCISE WHEN WALKING OR PEDDLE BIKING, SKATING FUN SITE SEEING FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY, LOW TRAFFIC WHEN DRIVING. SAFE
The only thing that scares me about this bridge is the beginning and the end when you're driving at the base of either side and everyone is trying to merge in to different lanes; it's a cluster f*%k to be honest.
Fun fact: If all the individual wires inside the two main cables were connected end to end, the wire would circle the earth.
Walking over the bridge was an extremely cool experience! Gotta do it if u havent :)
We arrived almost at midnight from Houston. We decided to take a drive across the pretty bridge. Did not realize it wasn't free!! Fun times.
Good views from up here! Unfortunately It gets so windy, can barely hear the talking.
Ots a beautiful view when you come over it and see Philly. I would of given it 5 stars but you cant walk over it
Awesome Bridge! You can look at New Jersey and Philadelphia, and go across the Delaware river. But traffic was bad.
Clean sidewalk and great view. Excellent for exercising. Keep in mind that they close at 8pm.
Its a beautiful old bridge, crossing it via the pedestrian walkway is a great experience and the Philadelphia views are spectacular.
Beautiful always great for a nice day walk
Love walking & jogging on it ! Its clean & the sight seeing of landmarks, buildings & ships & water is beautiful !
It's a bridge lol. I dont know what else to say.
Love to walk this bridge it's so peaceful and a great view of the Philly skyline
The only problem about crossing this bridge is that the bridge cops bother you so much they follow you on the highway. When your no where around the bridge they harassing you the cops are
There is nothing good at either end of this bridge
I don't know a lot about bridges but it looks clean it looks okay looks safe I saw pink cruise maybe 9 years ago they pain is it when the second Bush was president they do paint it
Costs 5 dollars to cross the bridge from Camden to Philadelphia. View of the bridge is magnificent!!
Train smells and it was hard to get a F-18 under.... I'll never fly under it again... Plus the toll for planes is more than tri-axle's
I enjoyed walking it, however Camden, NJ looked frightening so I had to walk it twice, right back into PA
Food is great ...drinks are great ....the price is great...but the view under the Ben Franklin Bridge.......breathless....and the air and sun is the perfect day to go....is worth it
Wonderful 3 mile walk
Always beautiful at sunrise or sunset.
Pretty and patriotic bridge at night.
New ramp
Just a bridge I use to go to New Jersey
Amazing views, good for photography or just to enjoy a nice walk.
My husband walked across this beautiful bride and he said the scenery is great it's a beautiful walk
I love it... but my mom not so much she freaks out every time we drive over it!!! :) :) :)
Love Taco Smell. I am upset they got rid of the Apple Empanadas though. They were like a dollar and so good..
This place & it's people are amazing i love I been going to this location for 4 yrs.. Almost never miss a wed.. Great place
I'll always love the view from here 😊 …
I grew up a few blocks from the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. And it's a site to see on the 4th of July and New Year's ... Love it.

Awesome views of Philly skyline
It's a bridge, really? I can't believe they look for ratings for this... Well, we didn't fall in the river. It did get us from PA to NJ. A bit pricey if you ask me...
I love it, beautiful sight and I love to ride a bike over the bridge it's fun.
Always a pleasant experience, praying while going over the water.
It's a bridge. Seriously, this is something we can review? Did it get me across the river safely? Yes.
My Grandfather Wesley Carrol Thomas along with Caputo & Thomas Construction built this wonderful bridge!
Best bridge over which to run if you want to see the Philly skyline.
Nice blue color
It provides a great view of downtown philadelphia and easily accessible!

Great path for biking, running, or just walking on the bridge.
Great place for a nice walk. Can see the city while getting in exercise.
Love walking over this bridge!!! Beautiful scenery and a great workout
Nice area for photos at the waterfront
Philly landmark, great place.
The only thing more strange than writing a bridge review is the thought that there are people who will read it and base a decision whether or not to use said bridge off the testimonial of a complete stranger.
Very cool to walk across to see the city and the NJ Battleship from a different perspective...
I skated across with no problems!
This bridge constantly doing repairs and still a very bumpy road
Beautiful bridge to cross. Toll was $5 going from NJ to PA.
Neat bridge. I don't know what to say, you can cross it if you need to. Minus one star for toll.
Wear comfortable shoes. Two miles each way full of terrific views.
The best bridge in Philadelphia
An important bridge connecting NJ with pencylvania and a beautiful scenic drive
It's one of Philadelphia's oldest bridges. Very iconic to the city's skyline.

Wonderful historical bridge that connects Philadelphia PA and Camden NJ.

7314 devon st, 2AS, Philadelphia, PA, 19119, US
Great view. Don't go at night.
This is a good-ass bridge that did not move when I drove over it.
Great view whether riding across ..or boating underneath
Great place for taking a walk or a jog.
so beautiful, totally loved it. really brings Philadelphia from a cool angle!
I don't know how did they know in the 18th century that they're going to need this huge bridge, amazing!
Best view in Philly! The walking path is all the way up 😬 …
Nice bridge not to crowded at that time of day.
It is a bridge how do you rate a bridge? I drive over it 2 times a day and never fell into the river so 5 stars.

bridge is cool enough but they just want your money
Awesome landmark. That bridge will be there forever. Lol
Awesome running spot, a very nive view on the way to the city!

Cool bridge if you like them
Went to see the Ghost ship under the bridge. Learned some new facts about our river.
Awesome for running jogging and walking! Beautiful views...
It's a bridge... not sure how to rate it other than historic, lobg, high and still stable.

I love driving over the BFB. Great views lol
It's a bridge. If it wasn't there would have to drive into Philadelphia the long way.
Needs repairing but gets me to philly!!! Lol
It's a bridge between PA and NJ. What's there to say? When it's part of your route it does the job.
Beautiful Bridge. Driving over it sometimes it sucks.

Pedestrians often clueless and refuse to stay to the right of the pedestrians path. Pedestrian path closes at dusk.
Hey, any time you can cross over a large body of water and not fall in it's a 5 star experience.
You can get really nice pictures while you're on it

Philadelphia from top of Benjamin Franklin Bridge
Closes too early, but a great walk!
Great walk, beautiful scenery
Tight lanes and mostly everyone speeds.
Who doesn't love paying 5 bucks to cross this bridge?
It is faster than any ferry!
Ready to jump
Didn't collapse and it beats swimming.
One of the best ways to get across a body of water!
Great place to photograph the skyline at sunset.
