Pros: my first time visiting this office, yes I waited a few minutes but ! Good things take time!!!!! Newark is a big city they are providing care for thousands of employees/Employers so it’s understandable. When my time came I was greeted by Norma who treated me like family, she provided outstanding care, made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Norma’s customer service, and work ethic deserves a five star, I had a sprained ankle but she made me feel very comfortable went over informative information with me I was very pleased with my visit thanks to her and the doctor who took care of me THANK YOU KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK I WILL FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS Cons: yes, the wait can be frustrating but with all the services they provide in one office and the time they take to actually cover every single need of the patient that comes in, it’s understandable! They provide excellent service , they listen and they resolve!

The wait was extremely long and be careful about parking. These five stars are for the the associate by the name of Norma, she made be feel calm after waiting so long. The staff at the Concentra in Newark was great, right away. The first person was a young lady who engaged me immediately. After a minor wait, a very professional RN took me back and got the FIT test started. Everyone on the team was very professional, from the MD, PA, nurses, other personnel, making the experience quick, yet professional. Very impressive.

Came here for medical test for TSA and I was assisted by Norma, and I must say she was amazing! very outgoing and she made me feel comfortable throughout the experience. Definitely will be recommending her and will be asking for her whenever I do come back.

The staff informs you of the wait time which can rage from 1-2 hours. I waited for exactly 2 hours for my drug test. The staff were very nice, helpful and honest. The staff who took my drug test I believe her name was Gloria is extremely nice and sweet.

Gave it a four because a few of the staff didn't know what n where my file was from the job even thought they had faxed it a week in advance. Then the wait time was senseless. Appointment was at 10am got there at 935am didn't leave till 130pm. However the Medical Assistant/tech Norma was awesome. She was kind took the time to explain what she was going to do. And try to be thorough since I was getting a few stuff done. So most of the four stars goes to her

Pros: Workers are professional. Office is organized. Easy to find location. Cons: If you dont arrive early, wait time is twice as long after 1p. In Feb 2022 i was left in the observation room for 30+ minutes while i waited for a physical for work. Parking lot does not indicate a specific parking spot. Vehicles have a high probability of getting booted or towed. No kids are allowed in the waiting area. A women and her 3 kids were respectful told she could not have kids in the waiting area. This rule was not indicated on their website.

The workers were very pleasant and they explained a lot in detail to me. Even though the place was extremely busy when I went. The staff was very courteous, respectful and attentive. I appreciate the staff because even though it wasn’t my time to test I had to use the bathroom the tech was on it and she let me go in and drop my specimen. I was able to leave once she sealed and I signed for it. Thank you again concentra. The only thing is that my test still hasn’t come back yet and it’s been more than 10days.

My visit involved three different tests and the process was not very organized in that there were no scheduled rooms and none of the rooms had the supplies available. I also waited an hour before called but it does seem like a very busy office. With that said. I did get through the visit in good time thanks to the wonderful, patient and resourceful staff. Every time they had to go and get something they apologized and I was never left waiting for any length of time. All in all even with the wait it went well.

This is my second time coming to concentra and what a smooth transition today was! I want to take time and shout out my fabulous nurse Norma. She was absolutely amazing! One of hardest things for me is getting my blood drawn. I’m always left black and blue. Within a minute Norma had the needle in my arm, painlessly, drawing my blood! I was so shocked. She made the entire experience wonderful and had a stellar personality to match. I’ll definitely request her in the future! Thanks Norma!

I met this young lady who worked for them who left the jersey city and came to Newark location and she did a phenomenal job. It’s sad that I to experience with the young lady one the first floor. There was a long line to check-in and I had to wait 45 minutes even though I had an appointment. There were at least 40 people in the waiting room, not sure if all had appointments. But once I got in, the nurses were very nice and professional.

There are so many different things people are getting assistance with so the wait is unreal. I went there at 8 left at 2 something. They do not honor app times. I went there for a injury I sustained at work ti my head. They didn't do a whole lot to make sure I wasn't concussed. However the guy name Micheal was awesome he got me in made me feel much more comfortable he was informative and curtious.

I was in Concentra in Newark for 3 times due to a finger accident during a fire drill in school (Dec. 14, 20 and 29, 22021). All my visits necessitated waiting in line to be called after initial documentation at the reception counter (which I expected). But all Concentra personnel from the reception area, to the medical assistants to the doctors who attended to my case (even a lady who called me to ask some pertinent questions about my case (Ms. Isola if I remember right) were patient-friendly. I did not have any adverse experience with Concentra and was finally discharged from treatment on December 29, 2021.

From the moment that I walked into the facility I saw staff totally focused on their responsibilities. There was no small talk. When it was time for me to receive services I was met with a smile, the staff told me their first name, and how they were going to help. Once in the appropriate area, I was treated with compassion, listened to and gently handled by both individuals who addressed the tests that I needed. As someone who worked in the healthcare industry for several years, I have pretty high expectations when it comes to customer service and patient care. The folks at Concentra Urgent Care demonstrated a keen understanding that treating others as you would like to be treated goes a long way in putting people at ease, building trust and creating a lasting impression. Place is really nice,,off course the people who take care of you are very professional,,,but and the big but is :the waiting time is "insane". I got there at 10 00am and got out 4pm. You can't even move around because they are going to call your name any minute and if you're not there you'd miss your turn.

The staff was friendly. I received very good care and attention while there. My only issue was that it took several phone calls and 1 1/2 days to get my prescriptions called into my pharmacy for pickup. Other than that, the facility was clean, social distancing enforced as best as possible. Staff used gloves and masks the entire time. Sanitizer provided for patient/client use. All in all a good experience.

Pretty good service. Most people stop off for therapy. Taking a drug/urine test should not be that long of a wait. I'm guessing they were short staffed. A certain Young lady at the front desk could use a refresher course on customer service etiquette. Just my 2 cent's worth.

I went to this clinic to complete a N95 fit test. There were some complications between the clinic and my employer but Norma was extremely patient and took the time to clear the issue and explain everything to me. She helped the process go by quickly for me to be able to get to work in time.

Everyone at Concentra was very helpful and pleasant. I’ve been to other care facilities in the past and several have been very unprofessional and rude as if you were a burden to them. At a time when you aren’t at your best as a patient, you don’t to deal with people who are unprofessional. They were very professional. With my experience with them they were top notch!

I was a walk-in for cdl medical certification and I was told they close at 6 when I called, and the receptionist told me I can come in anytime as long as I make it before 6. So I left work early for 2 days, the first day I got there at 5:10 sharp and they turned me down, then the second day I got there 4:45 and they tried to turn me away l, saying they had already stopped taking patients. Fortunately I asked for the manager and she let me be seen that day. Unfortunately another guy came in at about 10 min after me and they turned him down.

A few days ago I posted a review about a temporary or rotating therapist and their horrible demeanor. Recently I met with the director name Anthony during one of my visits and was able to discuss what took place. The director heard and understood the situation and expressed compassion of how that should've never taken place. Due to this I have to change my experience to a positive one. Anthony the director assured me he will take care of the situation and if I were to have any concerns to feel free and bring them to his attention.

It takes way too long to get a drug screen. It took me 2 days and 8 hours (4 hrs each day) just to complete a 10 minute urine test. The first day after i waited 4 hrs the system goes down for the epassport system. Other than that the staff is decent.

Great experience overall. The registration process was friendly and efficient and I did not have to wait long. I went through the medical exams with Ovidio who was excellent. I think it is not enough to just have the medical knowledge. You must also be able to relate to people and show kindness and empathy. Thank you.

The staff is nice in general and the experience was great. My physical therapist (Anthony J. Santigate) was warm, respectful and had excellent "bedside" manner and displayed professionalism. I never felt that I was "just another number." There was genuine concern which was evident in the interaction/experience. He is awesome! At any rate, I recommend this particular location for anyone in need of physical therapy. Keep up the good work!

I haven’t had the best experiences when it comes to concentra, but today went really well, everything went smooth, mainly because of the gentleman who ran all of my test, he was on top of everything and made me comfortable with everything going on. I’d say he went beyond what you’d expect someone in his position to do, a very positive individual, even when he’s dealing with difficult patients most of the day. I can’t remember his name, but he has braid/dreads

The attitudes of the front desk receptionist are always rude their customers service is horrible if you don't understand what's on the form they get annoyed and don't want to help. I understand working in the medical field is difficult but WE MUST ALWAYS THINK ABOUT THE PATIENT and the anxiety they face being in the environment, if a patient has a question they'll be too afraid to asked quedtiond because of the rudeness of the front desk. I worked the front over 20 years I still greet patients with a smile no matter how long of a day I had I'm the face of my establishment. I would love to work they and show how it's done.

Staff members were helpful and friendly. My only problem was that I don't feel if you are there for a urine test, they shouldn't keep you waiting. I drunk a lot of liquids to make me go to the bathroom and still had to hold it for another hour.

The wait time is ridiculous for people who are coming to get physicals. Unfortunately we can't go elsewhere because of the contracts they have with certain jobs. It is an unfair situation when we are forced to sit for 2 and 3 hours. There should be something in place where someone is seeing people with work related injuries and someone is seeing physicals. After getting to the back the staff is very nice and quick.

I've been to a few other concentra locations before. Getting dealt with as a patient pressed for time in a timely fashion is a unlikely with concentra. However... At this location the staff is competent, efficient, courteous and very professional. I have no excuse to not leave a good review for this great staff and location. It was my first time coming to this location and one of the first things I noticed was the cleanliness of the place. The staff was also very helpful. I was a bit worried and stressed in regards to my health but Mr Ovidio Cardoso reassured me that the doctors do a great job and will take care of me to the best of their abilities. Honestly if it was not for him I would have probably left out of fear and stressing over my health. Thank you to all the staff and especially Mr Ovidio Cardoso.

I had a medical physical for my job on April 3, 2019 at the Newark office located at 375 Mc Carter Highway. I walked in the door around 7 o’clock. I was greeted by the front desk personnel I signed in and handed them my medical package, I was see immediately afterwards. I was met by a service technician Mr.Olvid he then explain to me what we were going to do and all that was mentioned to me it was completed. He was very knowledgeable and very professional person and also kind. After completion of a series of Test I was then seen by doctor Kheysin who performed and asked me several questions regarding my medical questionnaire that I filled out. I had a very good experience during my visit.

Being a larger guy first thing that I hear is that I have sleep apnea. They don't take the time to look in my mouth to see if I do. Between my specialist and Dr Castro are the first people who have said weight and neck size have nothing to do with sleep apnea. Dr Castro is up to date with this. Also he explains very thing to you so you have knowledge. I won't go to any other place. Also nurses are friendly and put you at ease...at least with me.

I went to concentra for the 2nd time through my job and because my first time there I've decided that i wanted to be seen by staff member at concentra that goes by the name of OVIDIO. I wanted him to take care of my paper work because last time at concentra he was the one who came and direct the other staff member an "old lady" that was clearly lost and besides complaining the entire time didn't know how to assist me...In my opinion & without a doubt the most welcoming and knowledgeable staff member at concentra Newark is OVIDIO and after reading other reviews I'm not surprised how highly other patients see him ... that's the only reason a 5 star was given because everythin else there needs a change.
