Reviews of Unisphere
Michael H.
An iconic monument that takes over the landscape from any point of view. The addition of the water sprinklers are great for the summer which makes it interactive. The park has a lot of potential, and so much more can be done with it. I hope the city turns the park into an even more inviting place! Great events can be held at the park. They should do justice to the worlds fair and restore everything as well. Thankfully, a start has been made!

Love this part of Corona Park! They turned on the fountain and the mist for the US Open. Otherwise I’ve barely seen these waterworks on during most of the year. Beautiful and so enjoyable in the summer heat!
Joshua Fagan
A symbol of progress and harmony from the 64 World's Fair. Even those the Space Age, utopian dreams it represented have faded, it's still a monumental steel sculpture. I guarantee it's larger than you think. The detail is immaculate-- I especially love the topographical depictions of mountain ridges. Such a gleaming symbol of modernity at its best and most optimistic.
Rosie Begum
Beautiful Unisphere steel sculpture! Nice getaway after a Bronx zoo visit. It is just ~7 minutes walk from the Bronx zoo.
John Z
Nice park with lots of lakes and water activities. We rented a Deuce Couple which two people can ride. It took about one hour to go through all major interest points, but I would suggest to rent the Deuce Couple or other bikes for two hours to do things in no hurry.
Ashish Satyabhashak
This is the iconic fixture of NYC. I always visit Unisphere when I go watch US Open tennis. Good place to cool down in its fountain on hot and humid day of summer. Any time of the year, you will find people taking pictures around the fountain and Unisphere. I wish to see more crowd control in this park by Police and Parks department.
Jay R
I proposed to my already husband lol for our 10 year anniversary. We plan on renewing our vows in a couple of months. Love this park, it's huge, a lot of spots to BBQ and simply hangout and have a picnic.
Aneri Ladhani
Such a great place. It’s surrounded by a garden and an amazing spot for photos. I brought my friend here who loves tennis and it was right next to the courts it was like he was in his own dream world. The queens Museum is right next to it and it always has great exhibits. Great spot for a little stroll and also right near Citi field!
Cole Ash
Cool piece of history, surprisingly big! Reminds me of the intro to King of Queens haha.
Scott “Honest Reviewer”
Great place to visit. There is plenty of free parking.
Adebayo Adenekan
Nice place to visit, with a lots of views, and good for body workouts
Steven Kreger
Very nice place to sit or take pictures of flushing Meadows Corona Park is a nice place to walk around see what was the worlds fair in the 1930's and 1964 was there back in the 1990's for the Queens festival wish they still had but overall a nice place.
And it's right across from Citi field home of the New York Mets baseball team
Christina Cormier
Beautiful park to display a piece of history! Playing in the fountain on such a warm day was fun and refreshing. My honey chose a bomb pop from the ice cream truck instead of the fountain.
Evelyn Olivieri
A great place to talk a stroll, picnic or go to the zoo. There is also a museum. The hall of science is pretty cool too! A picnic spot is always available. Movie nights are so much fun! There is lots to do here or just come to relax.
William DuBose
Love this area of the park. So much to buy From water, to ice cream, to fruit. And great people and plane watching can be done here while sitting in the shade
Nick Wang
It's good place for picnic / some kids activities. However there are a lot of people stun riding their small dirt bikes / motorcycles / mountain bikes at unsafe speed inside the park. Make sure you keep your kids / elderlies in close watch in those situations.
Kevin Hinton
I had always wanted to see this place after seeing it in Men in Black! It was cool to see in person but the area around it isn’t incredibly well maintained. It looks like they’re working on refreshing it though which is nice. Interesting to walk around for a few minutes.
Alexia MC
Emblematic structure representing the peace in the world and built for the Worlds fair in 1964.
It is located in a park in Queens, its good to have a walk in here if you are making a tour.
Nicole VanKampen
Okay, finally made it to another cool scene from a movie location.
The park was nice, though it was a blustery November day, what made my trip the best was that the fountain UNDER the globe was drained, so I could walk right under the whole thing and gaze upwards.
Yes, that was worth the trip to go see it.
Jovial Sharma
Amazing. It is not busy but places around is so cool and refreshing.
Rocio Arellano
Incredible place for walk.
michaelmvm 2828
incredible sculpture, didn't even realize it was sorta topographical until I visited in person
A C
This earth named the Unisphere. It's huge and impressive under the blue sky. Definitely worth the visit. There are a lot of resting benches around the lawns and trees. Plus Free parking lot beside the museum. It's a family friendly good place to spend the day. Better bring your own food and drinks because the food is pricey and tastes bad from the nearby food truck.
Andre Coronado
The promenade with the mist fountains is perfect for a hot day. There are also seats along the sides to sit and relax for a bit.
There's a museum close by and the park is filled with soccer fields, but other than that, there's not much else to do around here.
We visited because we were curious as to what was left over from the world expo... the answer is that there's really not much; the place has mostly transformed into a public park now. A great park nonetheless
Guggen heim
This place is BEAUTIFUL!!!😍 Corona park is the perfect place to go for a jog after work or a morning walk, in the summer you can go to cool off at the fountains or enjoy a barbecue! In the winter it is the perfect place to play with the snow! There are always Zumba groups dancing at any time or people doing Tai Chi or playing soccer. It's like a little Central Park in Queens!
Mariana Pinos
Super cute to take pictures by and tons of benches to sit by. Only downside was that the fountain part wasn’t on. Especially for it being a hot summer day, that was disappointing.
Leo rockz
One of the most beautiful park’s 🌎
John Hsieh
This giant globe inside Flushing Meadows Park puts the ones at Universal Studios to shame. Marking the site of the World's Fair that was once held in Queens, the only time there are visitors to this giant globe is during the U.S. Open. The remainder of the time, it's just stands there all alone with the occasional joggers that runs by it during early evenings and weekends. During the summer, the fountain around the globe does get turned on, but even then, very few kids actually play in the fountain. Literally one of the most magnificent sight to see in Queens/Flushing, but most people won't even notice it as they ride past it on the 7 train.
Poonam Rai
Beautiful place for family outing either for a small picnic or just stroll. the best is getting wet in the fountain to cool you off in this hot weather.
Vone St Croix
The Unisphere is one of Queens most iconic symbols and a must see in person. The park is clean and a fun place to run around or chill with friends/family.
Andrew Luis
We live newrby so it's easy to get to. Love the amount of open space there is! Especially during covid days, the space is very much appreciated. Took my son and wife on walks multiple times. Went to the boathouse as well. If you wanna get out and get some air, go!
France Rovelli
We love Flushing Meadows, and in the center of it all is posed the symbol of The diversity of Queens, the Unisphere. Constructed for the 64 World's Fair, its welcoming steel cadre frames the fountain at the US Open as well as the skateboarders spinning and sliding its granite perimeters. Sprinkled around are families funning with kids and tourists getting that photo of themselves holding up the globe. Look out, tower of Pisa!
SameerR
Really nice park. Unisphere is impressive for something built so long ago.
Chervone St Croix
The unisphere is one of Queens must sees. It's usually cool around the sphere with the water around it and the wind blowing. Its steps away from the Mets stadium and the train so might as well go once you're in the vicinity.
Nikki M
Lovely park visited during the U.S open .
I also go thought the year .
When there is no event going on there aren't a lot of choices of places to eat or get something to drink . What a shame .
Jose Cipreny
I've been coming to Flushing Meadow Park since the 70's so imagine it never gets old good old-fashioned New York Fun
REGINALD CEASER
Met a group of people, talked and enjoyed the park, visit the New York State Museum which was fantastic
M Ilyas
Beautiful landscape with water sprouting out in the summer surrounded by beautiful scenery and located closely to Queens museum among other attractions such as bike rentals
Matt Davis
This park is great! The sphere is a wonderful place to visit for the history and it's quite the site to see. Parking is not too far away and you can get a good view from all sides. Not the most accessible to get up close for wheelchairs or baby strollers as it is located in the center of a fountain, but you can get a great view from about 30 feet away behind the barriers.
Alex The Toon Artist
The place is beautiful and has amazing scenery. It's also sends nice vibes~
Alvin Agha
I like this place. That has Football, Volleyball, baseball places, kid playgrounds. You can ride here bicycle. You can make barbeque.
Soghomon
This true to scale globe located in Corona Park, Queens, have helped lost visitors find their way since 1964 when it was installed as part of the city’s find your way home program.
Constructed entirely in stainless steel, the sphere needs only minimal upkeep and maintenance, making it one of the most cost effective navigation system in the world. Designed by Gilbert P. Spark (GPS) the globe won numerous awards at the World’s Fair, in part because of three attached satellites which with pinpoint accuracy determines ones position on the globe.
After being declassified at the conclusion of the Cold War GPS technology began being installed in cars, mobile phones, as well as clandestine tracking devices for spouses, offspring, and other loved ones.
tony sudsangiam
With the new cool look of our longtime beloved unisphere,,the idea of introduce microfog mist garden to the old and outdated fountain not only revitalize the landscaping but it also magnet , attracted and make our unisphere standout and provide the mood and special feeling create lovely alternative water feature especially in the hot day be cool by the stunning misty effect
Daniel Donnelly
Being that Queens is populated and visited by so many people from different countries, this steel sculpture represents everybody in some way. Perfectly spherical and iconic, the Unisphere is a marvel of engineering, set in symmetry to the park's other structures. Used as the backdrop of many local cinematic and photographic productions. On September 16th, 2020, the Libertarian Party of Queens hosted Larry Sharpe directly in front of the Unisphere.
Star McBabe
Been dreaming of checking this out since I was a little girl. The parking is awful but hey, I still got to see an amazing piece of space age nostalgia!
Frank Salinas
Always nice visiting Flushing Meadows Corona Park and the Unisphere. My wife and I enjoy coming here as the park is large with many things to see and do and parking is always easy. The tennis center is right there as well as the Queens Museum and Queens Zoo. We come mainly to walk for exercise or to lounge in the grassy open spaces.
Dayana Matos
A perfect park for a great day
Ram Bhandari
Great place to enjoy water fountain and chill out in Summer.
suraj chaitan
Love this place great for relaxing and exercise park is well maintained wish the people that went there would show the park the same courtesy and keep the place clean
Acsmed
Beautiful and emblematic place from New York
Jon NewYork
Lovely park but be careful as some people aren't wearing masks. Other than that it's a real great place to walk and hangout with good vibes.
Nengah Hariadi
Quite and nice to visit this place on a weekday.
Alex R
Still beautiful but water fountain turned off
Eusebio Sewell
It’s a great spot in a great park. I just hate that people have started to graffiti the unisphere.
Tiffany Martos
I love this place. The detail close up is something to see! It’s only a globe and some statues next to it but if you’re with with right people, it can be a fun or peaceful experience. There are sprinklers in the summer.
Charles Dokyung Kim
Spacious park, great place to relax with family
Anthony Ramirez
Flushing meadow park is the best park for me as a Latino,
Francisco Ayala
Lovely park magnificent place
Brenda Ven
One of my favorite parks due to its diversity and proximity to the US Open, Science Museum and Shea Stadium. The park is level and it’s fairly easy to ride your bike throughout.
Ryan Knudsen
If you're like me then you will be taken a back by the size of the unisphere. After seeing it on TV so many times it really was surprising to see just how large it really was. Pretty awesome piece of art.
Chris6d
Very nice statue and great views. Wish the fountain/pool was on though, would make it look prettier and less ghetto
Carston Bethers
Great place go get out of the city and run around in some greenery! Definitely make time to see the unisphere, it is humongous and cool.
Amy M
Went for an evening walk. Beautiful place to take a night stroll.
karin nekosennin
The Unisphere is the huge sphere in the center of Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. It was bulit as the symbol for 1964 World’s Fair.
Em Ja
Really great place. Quiet and safe!! Fantastic looking at sunset.
Matey Checko
I just love the flushing Meadows Park. It is packed with exciting exhibits and fun things to explore.
David Maltz
Such a visually inspiring display. And the mist park is a good time on any hot day.
Fences prevented anyone from entering the fountain under the unisphere itself in Aug 2022. Unclear if that's a permanent thing or just for the US Open.
Jackie Lin
Wonderful place to relax on a nice day. Fountains are only on in the summer though. The park itself has improved significantly over the years (i.e., cleanliness, amenities, landscaping, etc...). The Queens Museum is right next to the unisphere and so is the Queens international night market which has a good selection of international eats. In the park there are bikes to rent, soccer fields and plenty of space for picnics.
Kjeld Noppen
Nice part of the park. Had to see it cause of the movies it's been in.
Oleg S
Nice little park for strolling, jogging or just chilling next to Queens museum. The sphere is beautiful and enormous in size. It is a must see in Queens!
Stacey Jackson
Very spacious and clean park. It has so many parts of the park that you can safely social distance. we ate lunch right at the Unisphere
Isai Victoriano
It was a great experience I really enjoyed the day.
La Ridel
Great place to take tourist just to take photos.
Eneko Polo
A very interesting place to visit. The biggest representation of the earth ON THE EARTH. Maybe you have seen it before on Men In Black films.
Dani Su
Very nice park. Peacefull and beautiful
Elliot Franco
Beautiful Park, Lots of parking, Many things to see and do. Taking away one star because of all the planes flying overhead.
Declan Mc Court
Great place to hang out with friends and family. The Unisphere is surrounded by patched of grass with trees for shade.
Bring a picnic and relax
Pillay
Nice large lung space.
Needs little more cleanliness
Chuck Taylor
Great place to experience nature in the urban Queens jungle. Plenty of space for a short bike ride. The loop around the entire park is approx 7.5 miles on a bicycle.
Jennie C
It is a nice sculpture, amazing view. Makes great background for selfie.
Mike Vivanco
Beautiful place to take pictures and portray the excellence of Queens, New York.
Fun fact, every year on April 20th, the Cherry Blossom trees return!
Tania G. Linares
Do u remember that Men in Black' scene when Will and Tommy shot at a spaceship and it crushed against the Unisphere? Well... this is the real one. Take the chance to visit this famous spot, take good pics, walk around the fountain and have a good time
Momo
One of the best places to visit in Queens to chill.
Mykel Lie
Very good for iconic for the NYC. As like
Me bring the clients from different country no1 priority from JFK, always going here. Thanks for make clean & nice city.☝️❤️❤️❤️
G Aquino
Huge steel sculpture of the world, one of the main attractions in Corona Park. Stopped for pictures on my way to nearby Queens Museum.
Demar Ayee
🎡🌐🌴⛲️👨👩👧👦☀️😄🌏The central part of Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Photos taken on a bleak day in Spring. The Unisphere 🌍🌐 is really impressive. Constructed and completed between 1963 and 1964, it was designed for the 1964 World’s Fair that was held in Queens that year.
One of my fondest memories every summer being in the park is seeing all of the kids from the surrounding communities with their parents and families playing and running around the Unisphere, sometimes inside the fountain. It’s really a place that unites the community. In fact, when it was built, the theme of the World's Fair was "Peace Through Understanding". The Unisphere represented global interdependence, being dedicated to "Man's Achievements on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe".
Paul Schuler
The entire area has a strange post apocalyptic vibe. Glad to see the sphere is still add lovely as ever. Great for picnicking nearby from the breeze it creates.
Normarie Cancel
This park has an awesome history!!! Do you love Disney lol ?
Angie Mob
It's very nice to see up close, my kids love it but the thing I don't like is that there isn't any water around it. They drained all the water so you don't get that water spraying up all around the world but the park around it is very beautiful and nice to take your kids, check it out sometimes.
jonathan hunt
A wonderful place to have your quinceanera. There is a scale model of the earth that is very interesting. If you are wearing a white suit don't go swimming.
Jake Jessen
Love the cherry tress blossom in March and April.
Hate those ppl ride dirt motorbikes in the park. They shouldn’t be in the park. A 4-6 years old kid was injured and in critical condition due to them.
Weekends are the best time to visit. During the week, there may be some concerns if female is visiting alone.
Nacho Pani
Nice place and the weather was excellent for the walk we had here.
Raja Krishnan
The Unisphere is located inside the Flushing Meadows Corona Park. One of the most iconic monument in Queens, was a part of 1964 New York World's Fair. The sphere which measures 140 feet high and 120 feet in diameter.
John Jairo Garcia Quigua
I love this place, it really makes me feel happy.
Michael Anderson
I love the Unisphere! I am so glad that it is a registered landmark and a great part of NYC's history!
Rebekah Kroesing
It's wayyyy bigger in person than I imagined!! Was bummed the fountain wasn't running but it was still pretty cool.
Vanessa Valerio
Love it 😀 very nice place to visit
Mohamed Omar
Wonderful park to visit in queens!!
Adam Gonthier
Awesome legacy still standing from the 1964 World's Fair. There's a fair amount to do around the sphere, such as the Queen's Museum, or just hang for the day in the park.
Bryan Dea
It amaze with its beauty
Vanessa Ma
Its fun to bike there, its pretty quiet and peaceful. When the fountain is on its really pretty.
Dave González
Great place to spend a Sunday afternoon, check the scenery from MIB and enjoy some hice amable por kick some goals Or just walk out bike around a great park and watch LGA inbound planes. Lot of stuff to do sound Flushing Meadows Park
Garfield Harry
It's always a good time to visit, night or day.
Shomari G
Timeless, instantly recognizable landmark and moment so unique and special to Queens.
Michal Moshon
The Unisphere is a really awesome Queens historic landmark! If you look at the equator during the spring you can see that even the resident red-tailed hawks think so, they nest there every year!
Zach Ryan
Very cool park and sculpture. Lots of places to hangout and sit.
Henry Mow
Beautiful! And impressive, helps realize how small we are.
Bruno R
Such a relaxing place to hang out and read.
Bryan Van Huele
Fabulous gathering place. So many people come here in sunny day weekends for fresh air, listen to music, children love to ride their bicycles. Families love to rent self peddling bicycles to hold the whole family. Many roller skate. Just simply walking around is such a delight
YUNNAI Lavayen
So sad that this " cool event wasn't " aproperly announced in the website I come from nj.because nyc has more access to the summer's events but should have better advertising. 😏😏 …
Swetha Srinivasan
Giant globe with a fountain surrounding it. It also has access to the USTA center and is close to the Mets willett stadium. You can access it via the queens museum as well
Dianne V.
If parents kept their brats out of the fountains on bikes n skateboards n scooters, I'm sure we would have been able to enjoy this better. It's a beautiful place to visit n these morons will ruin it for sure. Guessing the locals have no brains.
Steve
A wonderful place to visit. Great spot for a photo!
Steffania Zhingre
Nice park! Great place to come with the family.
shineden

Iconic park - loved seeing it for real
Buki Seun
It was such a wonderful experience. Great for you and the kids, you and your partner, groups and picnics as well.Absolutely beautiful environment where you can take long walks, jog or ride your bike.
If youre coming with the kids, its a nice idea to come with their swimming things so they can go under the fountain.

alicia y
Giant globe with tall water fountains that you can run through! Great to visit on a hot summer day!
Michelle Rodriguez LCSW-R
I love coming to the Unisphere. I got married under the Unisphere in the gazebo near by a few years ago. It's a great place to bring tourists or visitors for pictures and it's a fun environment for the family where the kids can run around in a spacious area with other children. Too bad the water works are not on yet because it look amazing when they are on and it's a good place to cool off when it's very hot. Fun at night when it is light up. There is always some singer or band playing around for tips, people selling food for a quick bite. There is a lot to see nearby including sculptures, gardens, Queens Museum and the US Tennis Open is held a few feet away. Ample parking available and playgrounds and soccer fields near by. Great place to make memories.
Izai Ramirez
Awesome place to take pics of the unisphere or family with it, as a person who lived in queens his whole life couldn’t get tired of it
Victor Gomez
Located in the heart of queens, it's a great alternative to embrace nature
Joaquina Pena Charros
This is how the unisphere looks during a snowing day! 02/01/2021

A wonderful place to visit just go
Wheeler Kearney
I love cycling to this location. Always good to see tourists take an interest in this queens attraction.
Jeff Allen
I'm sure it's nicer in the summer but still a cool place
Motiviri
The best place you can go in summer
Maria Perveen
very spacious and the fountains were great
Don Huang
Nice and quiet in the morning.
Laima Pacekajute
It was nice although the fountain didn't work and the place felt a bit abandoned.
Thepiggyrules
It is pretty a pretty cool landmark. Recommend going when the weather is nice so you can take advantage being in the park. Plan a picnic and relax
Melissa Flores
I went early in the morning it's was pretty empty and the fountain wasn't on, but it was really cool to see the big sphere and read the plaque.
Evan Friscia
This recognizable landmark is located in the middle of a beautiful park. This is close to Arthur Ashe stadium and Citi Field so you may want to come early to check out the world fair site. They recently have added some misters to the area so you can cool off if the weather is getting too hot.
christopher malone
Beautiful park on a beautiful day!
rickardo perez
Really good place to go and park is beautiful remember this from the movie men in black
Naldy Diaz
This parked has improved drastically since when I used to regularly go when I was a kid. It's beautiful, so much cleaner, there are usable and clean bathrooms and it's just a very impressive park, now, along with the iconic Unisphere! Make it a point to visit. 👍🏼 …
Jerry
You got to love the globe. When it gets hot And they turn on the water fountain kids love to go inside and get all wet. Not sure the water is clean though, as it's probably the same water being shot back up? The park is my favorite just needs more kids playgrounds. They're redoing the roads/trails by the boat house right now 5/19. So some fencing now but there are openings to get around. Great park to fly a kite or watch others play soccer. Bring your own food to have a Picnic. Or feed the birds/ducks by the boathose. Or rent bicycles or a small boat. The park is so big and tricky, they should give out road maps to know how to ride in the park and park your vehicle that be nice. My favorite park in Queens.
gem scorp
Nice place to jog, a friendly place to do your yoga and exercise. So many court fields for soccer/football. However there's only one bathroom but you have the option to go the MTA bathroom nearby.
Chris Ameigh
Best viewed in the summer when the fountains are on. They say it isn't open for wading by the public, but no one will stop you. Indeed on hot days it becomes an unofficial public pool. This is the best time to visit. It is a stunning masterpiece as well. well worth the visit. If only it could be restored along with the rest of the park... :(
panchos world
So beautiful, nice, clean and serene. Love this place, nature at its best.
Peter Gerard
This massive globe is an iconic sight, and one of the more visually pleasing remnants of the world’s fair. It’s fun to bike circles around it.
Definitely worth checking out Queens Museum and walking around the park as well.
Jesus GJ Chuza
I just lovely to watch. 😎 …
Christina
This was such a cool place to check out. I heard stories of my grandma and mom visiting this site and had never been before. I visited in the winter but will have to go back in the spring/summer to see all the greenery on the park!
IMAM FAHAD
The unique symbol for QUEENS borough in NYC, one of the best roaming place with the friends and family people altogether.
Daniel Nieves
What a great place to just people watch or just be with your family.
Traci
This is a must-see for any and all New Yorkers and tourists with enough time to travel to the area. It's wonderfully maintained (hard to imagine it run down as other reviews said it was years ago) and even without the fountains on in early May, it was a beautiful sight. The surrounding area is perfect for a picnic.
Brandon Castillo
Great place for a picnic, lot of food around
Vincent Laucella
Daytime safe beware after hours
Burhanuddin H.nomani
This is where you can find peace
Kate Bredbenner
What a classic Queens location! The fountain isn't on currently, but that doesn't stop this from being a beautiful location. The landscaping around here is still excellent despite the pandemic and there's plenty of space to walk and not be near others.
N C
People watching. Ice cream eating. Lovely walk
Jake Pham
This area is beautiful. You have your culture at the Queens museum. There's the globe that's perfect on a hot summer day as the sprinklers are on. And then there's the spacious lawn for picnics and BBQs. And to top it off, you have free parking. Definitely worth spending a warm day here.
Ádám Halkovics
Gorgeous park with a lot of squirrels. We were so lucky dube the fountains were switched on while we were there. If you have a limitless time in NYC you should visit the park and take some pictures.
Khan Rahman
It was my first time went there with my family. My grand son was so much happy to see the water display also me too. The place and weather was very much enjoyable. You may visit toooooo!
Curtis Andino
Such a beautiful and peaceful place
Milly R.
Grace place to visit with family and young kids. When the fountain is open everyone can come in and play around in the water. It's a great place to take photos. And it's very relaxing.
Joel Naranjo
the perfect distraction for kids
Jose Ortega
Nice place to visit and take photos

Have never seen such huge unisphere structure before. It is is located in a beautiful park with so many attractions near by - museum, city field, Arthur Ashe stadium, Mets stadium. The park is beautiful as a good picnic spot and enjoy nature. The kids enjoying the water park in summer near the unisphere is a plus .
Hira Khan
Definitely a place to visit in summer. Kids will be very happy as they can play in water. Surrounding is beautiful as well. Queens museum, queens zoo and corona amusement park are all connected to eachother.
Jonathan L
There is no finer monument or public art anywhere in NYC, even on an overcast winter day.
On a summer day with the kids playing around the water, or a summer night with the whole thing lit up, it's the masterpiece of the universe.
Take a date out on a bike ride, pass by here at sunset, continue on to Flushing for dinner and sesame ice cream, fall in love, have kids, repeat into infinity
marcia brown
Big nice Park for family and friends Lots of BBQ Areas water sprinkler play area for children swings and slide Much more to see so come on over and have fun or just Sit by the lake I promise you'll LOVE ...
Thomas Overmiller
This iconic structure is definitely worth visiting if you're in Corona, and especially if you're visiting Flushing Meadow Park or attending the US Open. In the warm/hot season, out features water fountains around the perimeter. This is a terrific spot for taking a photo. You may even want to bring a picnic lunch to eat on the grounds nearby before you explore the rest of Flushing Meadow Park. Best of all, there's no admission. You can visit the Unisphere for free!
Niranjan Joshi
Best place to relax
Ornella D
Very beautiful sculpture.
Pete Rizzo Rizzo
What more can be said about this amazing piece of engineering? 5 stars and just awesome
Saville Byron
Beautiful place to for an entire family👪 …
H Sánchez
Unisphere looks great. Park was very clean. Fresly cut grass and lots of flowers. Getting ready for the US Open. Lots of families there. Great place to spend a day in the summer. Bring your sunscreen and lots of water.
Lin
It's very nice and peaceful! I loved seeing people there and even saw the finishing of a marathon! Very nice 👌 …
Daniel Hernàndez Rojas
Beautiful sphere but people need environmental education, they don't care to litter the place sadly I've seen many Latinos doing that. It is a beautiful park when cleaned up.
Mariel Henkoff
A sight to see! Great spot for pictures and people watching.
Kevin K
It's an worthy experience to witness all the joy of summer when kids and adults play and stay cool from the heat. I wouldn't visit in the winter and colder days since the water won't be running.
Yasmine Beausejour
Beautiful park. Parking could be an issue, beware.
truth always
This is something very beautiful to see very artistic very large right off the highway very safe generally not much worry of being mugged or robbed LOL really especially nice during the summer months but even in the winter it's beautiful to see
NJ Riff-Guitarist
It's a neat representation of the Earth, and great to photograph!
Anthony R
A great place to sit down and relax in the company of real New Yorkers. During summer months the water is turned on and looks amazing. And only during the US open do the turn on ALL of the other ponds with water so it adds even more. For Gods sake don't let your kids run in the water (I did it as a kid) but it's not chlorinated or even tested I'm sure, but people will do as they please, and hey you're probably building your kids immune system that way
Elizabeth Flores
Beautiful place.
Tom Seeler
Amazing park with great views and loads of space
Annlex Arriagada
UNISPHERE is a beautiful thing to see in flushing park , the water sprays up and cools you down on a hot day . Only issue I have is that when kids play in this water the water looks brown. But other then that she is awesome and so is the park.
Jose Aviles
Beautiful Park with lots of features for walking, skating, biking, museum going and just have a great time among some of the most iconic views from the world's fair history
Jen Lofton
It was neat to see the Unisphere and the other landmarks from the Worlds Fair, but it is in need of repairs and updating, which I believe the city is starting to do. Only the fountains of the Unisphere are working. There are nice open fields to picnic at (no tables) and there were a few groups there doing activities. Did get approached by a young kid (14-15ish) asking if we needed any bud 😝 which confused my own 15-year-old.
Swastika Singh
Nice park to chill around and have picnic
Wyatt Elkins
Amazing how they turned this into a thriving park.
Stephanie._. Oreo

Laney P.
I went when it was a beautiful day. there was no water in the fountain... they were doing some maintenance on it. but it didnt matter too much. The unisphere was made for the 1964 world's fair.
Scott Higgins
Commissioned to celebrate the beginning of the space age, the Unisphere was conceived and constructed as the theme symbol of the 1964–1965 New York World's Fair. The theme of the World's Fair was "Peace Through Understanding" and the Unisphere represented the theme of global interdependence, being dedicated to "Man's Achievements on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe".
thomas sanchez jr
The view and the water is very refreshing on a hot day.
Yumbell Donado
It was fine, but it's been closed, probably because of the Covid-19 problems. There was not water running. Nice to see the hawks nests up there.
Jose Benejan

An incredible relic of the 1964-65 world's fair. It's much bigger than you might think, and is quite the sight to behold. Unfortunately the fountain was under repairs when I visited.
Sebastian Sinisterra (CitySeby)
It's cool to see and fun to play in when they let the water gush out in the summer. There's also lots of great pictures you can take of it too.
Francisco Argüello
You can see all the world and some capital cities are with a point in the place. Also, you can see the shape of the mountains. Nice place.

Very fun environment and various things to do even in a pandemic. Felt safe and secure and would recommend to any family.

5 Stars for the Unisphere - which is a true marvel of steel art! Great for photos!
The rest of the park feels like a dirty forgotten leftover from the NYC of the 1970s.
darren mcnelis
Skateboarders in the sphere fountain and kids in the fog fountain nearby cooling off. Great time to play or people watch.

RUDRA DUTT
Beautiful park as same as unisphere
John “Generic” Smith
It's a big ball. Many people take pictures of it. I don't really know what's the significance or art inspiration behind its design but... it does make a good backdrop for pictures.
Tiffany Grajales
Beautiful can't wait till they turn on the water. Lovely 😍 park …
Meriam El Mansour
It is a beautiful park in the middle of queens. But totally missused. Not public bathrooms ,we had to pay to use the ones at the museum.
Paul L
The only downside is that, there is no public restroom that is close to the Grand Central Pkwy side & nearby the Unisphere.
Lujain Raushan
Clean, communicate, and provide sources. Make a public park. People can come and enjoy. The breeze. Improve & keep it up.
Jared Lentz
Really cool, historical structure
Antonia Marrero
I love the unisphere I think it is so cool and so much history. Was part of the World's Fair. I think the Queens Museum has a lot of info on it. Planning a visit soon.
Lyl Rose
Very cool and historical. I would like to visit again when the weather is warm and the fountains on. It was still magical in the cold.
Norbert Tai
Most of the people are stunned to realized how gigantic this sculpture actually is when they see from their own eyes. Great place to learn the history of (2) previous world's fair.
Rashida R
Went there for an engagement photo shoot and was informed by NYC parks department that the water feature would be on but it wasn't..so disappointed..there were people skating in the unisphere.
Osbaldo Minchala
It is still fun like I remembered it. It evoked nostalgic memories of my childhood. I definitely recommend this place at least once in your lifetime.
Deci Mcgrath
This was a beautiful sight x
Jack Baker
Brilliant - but carries a strange vibe of derelict and deserted. Pool around the sphere needs filling and the park could do with a watering, the grass look thirsty.
Nelson C
Beautiful park

SUPPER NICE!!... NOW IS IN RECONSTRICTION, BUT STILL GREAT COOKING OUT PLACE!!! LOT OF LIFE AND ACTION, SPORT WITH A QUEENS FLAVOR...
Thomas Robbins
I was 10. The Unisphere represented all things that I thought were possible - long before I could conceive there wasn't global loving. I was such a dolt at 10 that I had no notion that people around the world didn't love each other. In my child's eye, I thought this "World's Fair" (I was lucky enough to go 3 times) was a celebration and congratulatory, and that the Unisphere was the cherry on top of a sundae.
To me, the Unisphere constantly reminds me that we are one world and one people. That's how I try to live my life.
Mazal Katanova
Great place to chill and learn about the World Fair and the origin of the Unisphere!
