Reviews of Rockefeller Center
Akshaya Kumar
Absolutely stunning place and I loved Top of Rock! Once I came back home, it was super exciting to be able to recognize this place in so many movies! The tree is magnificent and the holiday lights make it the perfect place to take beautiful portrait pics! The vibe is also 💯. Do note that there is always gonna be a long line and too much crowd here so your best bet is to either go super early in the morning or stay up super late to get a crowd free pic!
Ed Rigsbee
Took the center tour. Did not realize the number of buildings and the art adorning them. Very insightful. Then to the top of the rock. Three observation deck levels. What an amazing view. And, from the very top level, the view is 360. Great way to spend an afternoon in New York City.
Vadim Yudkovsky
Everything from the entrance to the ride to the top was welcoming and impressive. Original art deco finishes still impress. Took a tour, well worth the money.
Views are incredible and the three decks though busy were not overly crowded.
Mike Ortiz
It’s absolutely chaotic and the crowds are crazy around Christmas time. One who lives in NYC normally avoids places like this but seeing this damn tree is a magical experience that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Especially when your with kids and it’s their first time, it’s like your enjoying it all over again. If you have t seen the tree at Rockefeller center you have to make a stop and enjoy all the other fun things to do and see in the are just know everyone has the same idea around this time.

Great place to visit.. it's great especially at Christmas time. There are great areas for taking photos. Prices are very affordable in the area to worship ice skating. By the way, you should definitely drink coffee from Ralph Lauren.
Luke Daniel
This was a wonderful first time visit for my wife and I. It was utterly thrilling to see Christmas come to life. The Tree, the rink and enveloping area was truly a great atmosphere and filled with excited people. We would absolutely love to visit soon again!
Pascal Tesch
I highly recommend the guided tour or to read about the building before visiting. There are 3 platforms to got to, each offering great views over the city.
Take some time to visit the building and admire the art. If you don't want to pay for the view there's a lot to see downstairs, for free.
Antonio Perez Coss
Going to New York is synonymous of this place, specially if you are going in the Christmas - New Years Eve holidays!
This is such a beautiful building and complex, there is too much history in this place. I am pretty sure that you will recognize every corner with some of the movies you might watched.
Going in the winter season will allow you to ice skating the Rockefeller’s ring, just underneath their Christmas tree; this is a magical and remarcable experience, go for it!
They also have two very nice restaurants next to the ring where you can eat and enjoy the day or night watching the skaters.
This place has to be in your New York’s bucket list 💪
100% recommended 👍

This is a must see for any tourist in NYC. The inside of the building is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is extremely friendly and everything is very clean! But that's not the best part! On "The Top Of The Rock" you take a fast elevator ride up to the 67th floor and you exit the elevator to unforgettable and unmatched views of Manhattan. You can see the famous sights such as Central Park, Chrysler Building, One World Trade Center, Empire State Building, and so much more. Pictures don't do this place justice, you just have to see it for yourself!
Saul Goodman
I really recommend to buy tickets in advance, as it saves you at least 30 minutes of queue. Home to NBC and has an array of stores, it never fails to disappoint. But they views are stunning! And you can see all of the big apple
Ben Bowdoin
3rd visit to NYC & the Rockefeller, and it's the 3rd change in scenery I've seen. An art group has an odd/amusing display of clothing hung all around the center, but all of the decor and plants between each bustling alley have changed. I've enjoyed getting to visit and have a very different view and experience each time I come!
Harindra Sandun Mavikumbure
Absolutely stunning place and I loved Top of Rock! I always imagined going there after seen new York skyline views from the movies. The Christmas tree is magnificent and the holiday lights make it the perfect place to take beautiful portrait pics! However, it will be crowded during Christmas season. I went in mid January but still it was crowded.
James Hsieh
My wife and I were here to see the Christmas tree on Christmas! It was definitely the most magical places in NYC during holiday season! But the place was packed and the traffics was bad. Be prepared for such special occasion when visiting! But it’s definitely worth it!
Mary Laneville
We went in the daytime using our sightseeing pass. No lineup. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They recognized that we have some mobility issues and made sure that we were directed to the elevator to go up. The views were fabulous.
Mason Lancaster
Very cool to see an iconic spot. Spent $40 a person to go to the “top of the rock” and it was totally worth it. Amazing to see the city from such a good view. A little expensive, but worth it. I would highly recommend it.
Luke Batiste
Great views of the city and Central Park, the view to the south has the Empire State Building as the centre frame. Much better views of the park then the Empire State Building. All in all, I would recommend it before the empire state.
Vivek Saxena
One of the best places to see the christmas lights and celebrations. Have good options for having food and can access the Top of the Rock observatory to have a nice view of the New york skyline. We went in around 3 Pm to we were able to see the say and night view.
Wendy “Woo” Couser
What can I say? It was wonderful and brought back some amazing memories for me. There were people roller skating and we spent a lovely hour sitting by the water at the side. Well worth a visit.
Chris Nadavallil
Love the ROCK!
One day I will get to taking a rour of some of the cool spaces within the building!
It is just a magnificent site and something to definitely visit while in NYC.
The gardens are beautiful and that roller skating arena is always alive especially into the evenings.
I'd love to come back and check out the Christmas tree over the holiday season and maybe even get skate in on the ice rink
MJG
What a absolute gem to see in the city. It's so nice and clean in this area, what is surprising since it's close to Times Square and it's not very clean at all there.
Rockefeller Center has such beautiful grounds, nice rollerskating rink and just a nice atmosphere.
One of the great free things to do and see in the city. Highly recommend checking this area out.
5/5.

Beautiful during Christmas! You should purchase tickets online, 1 for admission and 1 for skate rentals, otherwise you will have to wait in a huge line. They offer free self assist lockers, you don’t need a lock, just a 4 digit code you will remember! You must enter the Rink on the far left.
Craig
One of the many iconic buildings in New York, we opted for the Rockefeller Center over the Empire State Building as you get the views of the Empire State Building. Bought tickets there early so the queue wasn’t to long. Stunning 360 degree views of new New York. One of the must visit sites in the city. Wish I had of seen the Christmas tree
David Seabrook
Wow... What a view! We had considered the Empire State building but opted for the Rockefeller as it includes a view of the Empire State Building! We went up (very quickly!) about an hour before sunset so had plenty of time to take in the views before the transition to night views. Although fairly crowded we were able to get a good position at the edge of the top deck. Naturally, it's quite windy up there so dress warmly.
Andrew Geoghegan
We visited at sunset, it was amazing. Big lines to get in so highly recommend you book in advance and buy the "express" tickets so you can jump the queue's.
The views of Manhattan as the buildings light up are amazing.
Highly recommend you do this viewing platform. 👍👍👍 …
Neil Sickling
Wonderful views of New York City. Luckily got a clear night. Amazing views of Empire State Building and beyond. Lovely Christmas tree and skating. Only downside was it was super busy at weekends.
LeWayne Ballard
Came here to see the famous Christmas tree and watch the ice skaters during the holidays. It's interesting to see it during the day, but of course, it's most impressive at night with all the lights and ambiance in the area.
It's easy to get pictures from any angle during the day, but it gets very crowded at night. Luckily, most people took their pictures and kept moving. It is very impressive to see the size in person versus seeing it on TV or online. Seeing this in person really gets you in the Christmas spirit with all the lights and decorations around the entire plaza.
Steve Formoso
Absolutely beautiful building with so much history! Lots of shops and skating in the winter. The Christmas decorations are so gorgeous and the views from top of the rock are the best from any observation deck in NYC in my opinion
Scott Parnell
Visited Top of Rock on our first night in NY and wasn’t disappointed. Only had to queue for 5 minutes as we’d booked tickets in advance, was all very well organised.
Amazing views of the city and the Christmas tree and ice rink are an absolute must see, really puts you in the mood for the holidays.
Make sure you look up when in the lift!!
Patrick Nogal
Rockefeller center is absolutely beautiful!! Coming from out of town this is a must see! The Christmas tree and ice rink look amazing! Coupled with pretty blue skies and crisp January air. What better way to experience New York other than watching home alone! Make sure to spot by some of the food carts and get a nice warm pretzel before a short walk up 5th Ave to Central Park!
Gordon Freeman
Summer time fun guaranteed! So many smiling faces on the roller-skating range tonight! Great music and atmosphere with a view of the Rock building. You can feel what NYC is all about by simply visiting this place. Love New York!
Ray Torres
Loved to see the iconic Rockefeller Center! We took a great elevator ride called “Top of the Rock” where you can see NY from a better view the even the Empire State Building! Truly a must see, especially if you visit places from famous movies!
Heath Grim
One of the iconic places in New York! I wish we would have gone when the tree was there, but it was still very cool to visit! It's a quick walk from Times Square, so that was a plus for us, too.
Jessica Barr
How do you review your experience at one of the most popular winter attractions when it's too busy to even access stores. Literally a mosh pit.
However, I gave it 5 stars because we were sightseeing and the tree was as glorious as we were hoping. Such a beautiful city and a very fun attraction with lots to see.
Soletecuenta
I have been visiting this place for the last 20 years and I absolutely recommend to walk around if your are in town. Specially on Winter, this place has a lot of great things to see and to do. The Christmas tree they put on each year on holidays is absolutely astonish, kids love it!
Shawn Sanders
This place is quite amazing. It offers a quick elevator ride or two up to the top of the building, which gives an amazing view, especially at night! However, if it is a cold day or night, you may find yourself freezing up there, dress warmly!!! 🥶⛄
It is evidently also very windy, based on the last picture of this post.
Eli Rodríguez Marín
Super nice place to hang out, have the rollerskate area with music at night and all day during the weekend. Some places to eat at the first floor, expensive stores to shop around. A lot a places to eat walking distance. Very secure and clean area, a lot of people during the weekend visiting. To visit the center is free but to enter the Top of the Rock experience you have to pay, we recommend buy tickets in advance.
Patrizia R.
This is a review for the Christmas tree and ice rink only. Absolutely worth it coming to NYC to see it. This year the tree is 30ft tall and a stunner even in daylight. The ice rink is relatively quiet during the week and work hours but it gets super packed especially weekends and holidays. Same thing just to look at the tree. Weekends and closer to the holidays it'll be hard to even walk these streets.
Sack's does a beautiful light show that I saw last year. Definitely worth it too! NY really is magical at Christmas time.
Annie G
It's great seeing people back outdoors... and mostly happy and vibrant. There's so much to do, see and eat in the area (or a few blocks removed).
The only unpleasant moment was trying to eat in this one restaurant and pretty much being redirected. We knew what it was, but we were not going to let it ruin our memories of a good day.
Inga Grygalyte
The view during the evening was just breathtaking, you can go on the 3 different floors and see NYC from every angle. However, very unorganized entrance, I also do not clearly understand why tickets time slot cannot be booked online and you have to go to book your time in person and then wait for 1-2h for your entry time. In the center itself the restroom line is 40min, just absurd, never saw anything like that.
B Joseph
Christmas time is amazing to be here. The tree is gorgeous this year. Went into some of the stores, which included NBC gift store. So much to choose from. Brought back memories of the TV I use to watch. MERRY CHRISTMAS!
r gerald
Beautiful location. Was able to see the tree before it was lit. There is a throng of folks at the steps of the rink to take the pic of the rink, tree, and the Rockefeller building. So get a good space.
Andrew Sykes
Awe came on our last night of our trip to NYC to look at the area and shops. We saw the fountain outside FAO Schwartz and we got some nice photos there. We then decided to the Rollerskating and that was great and what made it great was the light was failing and the lights were coming on and lighting up the whole area. We didn't eat or visit the Top of the Rock as we did that on our last trip. But the whole area is worth a visit.
Heli Mistry
great place, it is close to macy's. there are major stores close to it, to go to the top of the rock there is a way to the way from the building. there are indoor stores too to shop, there are carts and restaurants nearby. right before the center there is a ring where there is ice-skating ring during winter and also dancing roller skate ring during summer. also there is the most famous Christmas tree celebration happening every year, a lot of people come and visit that place.
Innovative Constructions
A must visit if you’re in New York. This is like the capital of New York if you want to see it that way. Great place to walk around and people watch but especially to see and visit all kinds of expensive stores. The highlight of New York is right here at the Rockefeller Center.
I was here in December around Christmas so it was cold but the number of people here made it crowded by
It this is what this place is all about.
So this is a definite must see and visit.
Come ready to ice skate if you’re into that.
Angela Murcia
One of NYC favorite attractions!! So much fun!!!! Great for families, the employees at the rink are very professional and always willing to answer questions and help if you need anything!!! Definitely one of the best Ice skating rinks, there is no need to be an expert on the skates all levels are welcome! Something else I really like about this place is that it is very organize to make your experience smooth, from buying the tickets, to picking up and returning the skates, bathrooms, free lockers and lots of employees to guide you in the facility. If you enjoy the crow visit at night time, but if you want to avoid the large group of people, I also recommend to plan the visit making sure you don’t go during peak hours since it not only gets really packed but also the price of the tickets may increases and the wait time can be long.
Wilmer Chavarria
It is nice that it has three different levels for viewing. The fact that it isn’t the tallest is a good thing, because the photos are a lot more interesting. The price is affordable and the process to get in is smooth.
Nick Apostolopoulos
It was a magical experience. Planned a trip to NY, a first ever visit for my wife and I, around the lighting of the Rockefeller tree lighting ceremony. Took in so many tourist sites but this one was by far the best and most memorable.

Rockefeller Center is a must see on your visit to New York. Historic building with beautiful sculptures outside. Nice shops are inside and you can go make a reservation to go to the Top of the Rock. Depending on the season there’s rollerskating in the summer and ice-skating in the winter. You can grab lunch and sit outside and you might even run into a star going in and out of the Rockafella center for interviews for the Today show or Access Hollywood on a weekday. I was lucky enough to take a photo with Mario Lopez! Pro tip: Go in the morning between 9-11AM if you want to catch a star.
vincent hildebrandt
It is always nice to visit the "Top of the Rocks". Usually there no long waiting times. Whenever I have been there I could walk straight to the elevators to the top.
On top you can decide if you want to stay in the warm and not windy inside or go one floor higher and visit NYC 360°. The view is amazing. You can see the Central Park, Hudson- and Eastriver, and the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center. I would recommend visiting short before it gets dark so you have the view with the daylight and all the enlighted buildings.
Helen Levers
Absolutely fantastic. Went to the very top of the building and was met with spectacular views on all sides - Central Park, Chrysler building Empire State building and enen the Statue of Liberty in the far distance. The weather was warm, skies were clear and totally added to the experience.
There were also artworks for halloween which were amazing.
Evelyn Estrella
I always love going back home and going to Rockefeller Plaza. It is such a beautiful square and I love walking by the stores. NOw they have rollerskating which makes it the best place to enjoy the downtown area. SACKS 5TH AVE always has some beautiful windows. Definitely check out Rockefeller Plaza whether your visiting or a local.
Dejan Braki
Set in the heart of midtown, Rockefeller center is an unmissable attraction every time I'm in NYC. Apart the business complexes, it has several tourist attractions such as the Top of the Rock viewpoint (one of NYC's best) and the iconic skating rink with its golden statue.
Most picturesque time to visit is around Christmas/New Year which we did 5 years ago, but it was also very pleasant this May when the ice skating turned to rollers rink.
Angel C.
Nice place to visit at least once with your kids. I went during a day it was raining lightly. The place was still a bit crowded but still better than other days. My daughters got to see the light show and the tree. They enjoyed it.
J. Satterfield
Less hassle than Empire State Building and the view is just as good. Sunset is a great time to be there! Avoid tourist weeks such as before NYE in favor of slow season in January-February. Beautiful view of the amazing Manhattan skyline and 360 degree views available!
Chris C
Things you’d never think you really need to see. First the building is just amazing to look at, how they light it up and the lay out all together. Then, the Christmas tree. Wow, one of the most pretty sites you’ll see that just being Christmas to you. Must see
Joanne Moore
Great place to visit. Make sure you go to the Top of the Rock and look up in the lift! We went and the weather wasn't great so our views weren't the best. We did get asked if we wanted to reschedule but we were busy so stuck with our day and time. But nice to be offered the chance to rebook due to the weather 😊
Also tried our hand at skating here too!
Dean Demesa
A fun and lively place that has roller skating in the summer and ice skating around Christmas time. We visited in both the daytime and night. There are shops and restaurants aplenty here.
There's a special fountain feature where people can walk in and out of as water shoots up from the ground. Here we saw a guy propose to his girlfriend as they were surrounded by the water. She said yes. Such a cool and unexpected thing to see at Rockefeller Center.
Amir .A
Best New York observatory in my opinion. DEFINITELY go for the sunset. Remember to get your tickets online, because there might be a line (especially the holidays season).
There are multiple floors for the view. The peak is the best, just go straight there lol.
Jeff Allen
Another iconic spot to visit in NYC. My wife and I took the architecture tour and a ride up to the top of rock. Both are well worth the time and money. I had no idea about the history and symbolism that makes up Rockefeller Center.
Brenda Duggan
Amazing night views from the Top of the Rock!! Staff were friendly and helpful. CITY GO pass was easy to use for admission. 3 levels of platforms for viewing 9:30 pm was not too busy; Then rest in the plaza watching the skaters.
BRUNET Emelyne
Must go once for NYC.
Impressive building.
The ice skating ring just opened and in the middle of the day on a week day it was empty ! Perfect time to go.
It is always in the shade so it can be pretty cold and windy. Remember layers.
Harlem Dawgs
Rockefeller center is great except during The Christmas season, at that time you need to avoid it at all costs You will be bumped around more than any pinball in a pinball machine. I know most folks don't even remember what a pinball machine was but I'm going to tell you they got knocked around Little metal balls got knocked around inside of a box that's what it's like being in Rockefeller center during the Christmas season. Don't put yourself through that. Any other time please go enjoy the artwork it's gorgeous It's not what Diego Rivera plan but you can see a lot of really great artwork inside of the buildings the plaza normally has exceptional installation art and if you must go during the holiday season I suggest you wait until after 11:30pm, get your nice little hot beverage and then stroll over there and look around..
Bee Hill
I always have fun in New York City, especially when I visit around the holidays. I was surprised to find the normal crowd there this year as we’re still dealing with Covid. It was packed! The tree in Rockefeller Center is magnificent!. I didn’t go to the top of the Rock this visit but if you have never been you should go up. You’ll need plenty of extra time because the lines are long but the views are amazing. If you’re planning on a sit down dinner somewhere make sure you bring your vaccination card. I guess it’s required now? Happy Holidays Everyone!
Sarema Perez
Went to walk around, the place was very clean. They have a nice ice skating ring. Also I think there is normally a warm seating area or restaurant but it was close when I went. Not a lot to see but during this time they still have the trees lighted up so for pictures it’s pretty.
Ondřej Huvar
Symbol of wealth. The view from the Top of the Rock observatory is really beautiful. Check the main entrance of the centrum too. If you like to skate, you can throw away a fortune and skate in front of the main entrance.
Michael McCorkle
Always wanted to see the Rockefeller tree & skating rink. Even with covid soaring, place was incredibly packed 2 days before Christmas, although I'd guesstimate 90% were masked except when removing it for photos. Overall impression is that the tree was pretty, had to be huge b/c of its location. Didn't skate, but Ice rink seemed tiny from above. Glad we saw it, but probably don't need to see it again.
Manish Sidpara
Had a great time visiting the rockefeller center during the build-up to Christmas. The atmosphere was nice with all the people out and about in high spirits. The Christmas tree they put up is something that has to be visited when visiting NY during December. We also visited the top of the rock and got lucky as we went quite late in the day and got in straight away with no waiting. The views at the top were really great.
Pat Receey
Love visiting the Rockefeller Center every time I’m in NYC. The energy of the city is always present here. This time we visited as they are getting ready for the Annual Rockefeller Tree lighting. The FAO Schwartz has their soldier’s out front and it’s all decorated for Christmas. It’s so lively and full of joy. The Rockefeller Center even on a normal day is iconic and a must visit!
Brinda Rao
Beautiful and must visit place during Christmas. Walkable from any if the subway station near Times Square and around.
While at Rockefeller, don’t miss out on the light shows at Saks Fifth Avenue during Christmas&New Year
Ed Ski
I was surprised how small the ice rink is !
We skated early at 7am was nice at sunrise. Not that busy but as it got towards 8am it was full. Surroundings are really nice and good for photos.
It's one of them you have to do this if your here at Christmas or New Year
Lou EC
Amazing views!!! , from various outdoor areas on a few levels .. make sure to find the staircase going up to the next levels , as the first area will seem busy as everyone starts there ... Young guy upstairs at the indoor QR code queue is an absolute star! Very funny and engaging...
Jessica Uttley
If history or getting a great view is your jam, this is worth a trip once in your life. The view of New York really is awesome.
I found the actual experience to be a bit underwhelming for the price, so if you can get the package that includes other destinations, I’d highly recommend that so you don’t feel jipped. Also be aware that they add $10 to the ticket price if you go during the sunset hours.
Abhay Rawal
Rockefeller Center is a must-see destination for those looking for a good time and some great photo ops. With its iconic Christmas tree, skating rink, and NBC studios, there's something for everyone. The crowds are manageable, and the atmosphere is always festive. The only downside is that it can be crowded, especially during peak hours, but it's worth it. Just bring your cameras and a sense of humor to capture those candid shots of people trying to skate like a pro and failing miserably. A great place to take a stroll, do some shopping, or watch the skaters glide around the rink, and pretend you know how to ice skate too.
Christina Dietrich
I went on Christmas Day at 9pm to see the tree. It was very crowded but everyone was in good spirits and wearing masks. We took our pictures and went back to the hotel. It truly looks just as magical as they make it look in the movies!
Kat Olowu
Bought a VIP ticket for 11/7/22 for the 3pm tour. Great tour however the Rainbow Room was occupied so we were unable to tour the room. A big bummer. I was looking forward to seeing it. It's unfortunate that we paid full price but didn't get the full experience.
James Avatar
Great to see the Christmas tree at 30 Rock. Traffic is shut down on 5th Ave bet. Noon-6pm for the next 3 Sundays, so try to get out there! Always be aware of your personal belongings when traveling through large crowds in this area during the holidays. Try to learn the shopping plaza tunnels submerged underneath 30 Rockefeller plaza (near the skating rink) for easier restroom access. Wearing a mask is not mandatory, but encouraged during the 2022-2023 Winter Flu season. Be safe and welcome to the 'hood!- J/A

All my life living in New York City, this is the first time I went to see the tree in person . Usually I watch it thru TV. But I must say I'm glad I finally decided to go and experience Christmas the right way. It is magical to see that tree, and it was beautiful. Definitely recommend going to see it, and if you're not from New York, definitely go see it. New York during December is beautiful 😍 if u want to go into the ring and skate. You have to pay for that, but the park itself is free , of course a lot of people. That night, the atmosphere was right. Beautiful place to take pictures 📸.
maxime lalevee
The famous 360° view of NYC !
Be prepared to pay 55$ per person to have an access to this incredible view. Lot of people, almost an hour to get access to the top, but it worth the price. Don't hesitate to pay the extra 10$ for the sunset.
A bit complicated to find the entrance 🙌

An absolutely mesmerizing place to be. Visited here for the first time and it’s so lovely. The size of the Christmas tree though, wooooo! Unfortunately I missed the bog light up for this year but nevertheless, Saks Off the Fifth had a great show of their lights. If I can describe this in one word, I’d say ‘breathtaking!’ Recommend this place for your winter sightseeing venture especially if you’re not from New York.

Iconic NYC location, Rockefeller Center is a must see destination. All of the NBC shows are filmed in the buildings surrounding the plaza. There is a skating rink in the middle that is open to the public. Roller skating now but it will change over to ice soon. Lots of restaurants nearby. You can camp out for Saturday Night Live tickets. The Tonight Show and Late Night are filmed here too. At the end of the block is Radio City Music Hall.
Nadia Signore
Anytime I’m in NYC a visit to Rockefeller Center is a must. Love the vibe here; the music, skating, sitting around for a drink or a bite, the surrounding shops. Various tours are available here (ex: top of the rock, NBC). Anytime of year, you will find a crowd but the crowd during the holiday period is crazy.

10 out of 10 for the Top of the Rock Experience! This was one of the observatories I had not visited yet in NY and I can assure that the views are stunning! It is a shame they have built these kind of spike buildings for apartaments just in front of Central Park. Otherwise, view would have been amazing.
We visited the observatory at 09.00 am, and there was a long queue already. I thought that booking the first time in the morning would be ideal so as not to get too hot, but I was wrong. The heat was unbearable, and even discouraged spending too much time taking photos. Perhaps it would have been better to book in the evening, when there is a bit of a breeze and the sun has set.
I specially enjoyed the views of the Empire State Building, and south Manhattan. Wonderful!
J Tino
This site is beautiful but I saw the Dias De Los Muertos exhibit that they had in front of the Rockefeller Center. It was magnificent!!! I am sure Christmas is even more beautiful there when decorated.
Jim Poteete
ALWAYS an amazing time here. The staff go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome always. Unfortunately we were unable to make it to Top of the Rock on this trip - but we come up from Atlanta multiple times a year and always try to make this a destination.
The views are amazing! I recommend the sunset hour for the best pics, but the view is amazing at any time. Thank you to everyone who goes out of their way to male sure everyone is welcomed and taken good care of.
This was our first time ever being able to see the Christmas tree in person and it is truly a magical experience!
Noah Lepek
An unforgettable experience that must be considered when planning your trip to The Big Apple. Rockefeller Center, specifically during the holiday season, offers an idyllic display that alludes to the endless possibilities of the American Dream. From the 1930s to the present, the revolutionary tycoon's business complex has attracted tourists from around the world, and could never disappoint.
Jacob Patterson (Jacob Tech)
Nice place to visit. As soon as I saw it, all I could think of was Kevin’s Christmas Tree scene from Home Alone 2.
There was roller skating at the front of the building. Also make sure to visit the cathedral nearby. It has incredible architecture
Justin Burgess
Iconic location in NYC. Crowds during the holidays though are unruly and can be a little scary for some out-of-towners. Don’t worry about getting the perfect picture. Not likely possible during the. Yay times. But definitely worth visiting to say you e been there.
Rimjhim
We live 20 miles from Midtown Manhattan. It’s usually chaotic and the tourists are crazy around Christmas time. But this tree is a magical experience that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. If you haven’t seen the tree at Rockefeller center you should at least once in your lifetime.
Ashlei Patterson
Love this place during the holiday time! Pretty lights and the tree is always so nice to see. The size is just unreal and you can't fathom it unless you see it in person. Also. If you're an ice skater, I recommend buying tickets online to skate!
J.R. Cohen
Walking around during September is highly recommend. Perfect weather! It is awesome here during the winter when you can ice skate as well.
Dominick Maone
Must see sight. Had a roller rink normally and an ice skating rink when cold. Awesome Christmas tree at end of year. Lots of shopping and food places in the mall attached.
Lakisha McDonald
Seeing the tree was the highlight of my entire year! I have waited my whole life to get to Rockefeller Center at Christmas to see the lights and decided this was my year. I cried when I turned and realized it was RIGHT THERE! I am so grateful for the experience. And the staff around the tree was so patient with us newbies. Wonderful!
Rosabel Lagares
Love coming to visit New York city. Specially to see the spectacular Rockefeller Christmas Tree in here. And the show of the lights is awesome. This is my 2nd time in here at the Christmas tree. Love it💞🎄🎅🙏
Very security around, safe to walk and enjoy De day or the night here.
M L
Top of the Rock was fantastic! Go in the morning. It can be very windy up top! But you’ll get phenomenal views of the city when it’s clear with blue skies.
Tímea Pálfi
Quite busy with tourists, but it's nice to visit and take some photos. While I was there, there was a little band performing too. All I mean, it has a good vibe. I would definitely want to revisit Christmas time though.
Yasmin L
Amazing views from the top. The whole place at 5th Avenue, the Rockfellar plaza and top of the rock are very vibrant and beautiful. Go around sunset time to get the best view of the skyline.
Iain Johnston
Shout out to Alden our incredible guide who shared so so so much knowledge about the center's construction, historical artwork and surrounding neighborhood.
Took the Rock Center tour today (not Top of the Rock) and it was amazing!
Rachel
Rockefeller Center is an experience I feel like everyone should have in their lifetime! The surrounding stores, lights, dressed windows, & decorations at Christmastime are such a beautiful sight! It's so festive! There's also vendors in the area if you want a NY hotdog too!
D
We went here for the iconic Christmas tree lighting for the taping and TV special. What a memorable and magical place! It was conveniently located to many shops and restaurants also not far from the mere is the legendary Saks Christmas light show which you can see from the rink. We’re planning to skate here before the end of the new year and cannot wait to return!
Stephen Britten
It was good for what it was - we were here at Xmas for the ice skating. The ice rink was smaller than I envisaged and they pack bodies onto the ice so got quite busy. Just a word of warning - don't get trapped the other side of the rink by the small cafe when the machine comes on to clean the ice as there's no way back over to the exit until they are done!
Sarah Davies
Such an amazing experience, went with my mum we really enjoyed it. And such a photo opportunity. You can see the whole city lit up. It is beautiful
Janette Proctor
Completed both the building tour and went to Top of the Rock. The tour was interesting, but the headset I had kept cutting out. As they were very busy, they did not have extras. Some of the interpretations of the art seemed a bit of a stretch, but that's why it's an interpretation.
The view from the top was amazing! Totally worth it. Observation areas from 3 separate decks provided stunning panoramic vistas.vista's. I liked seeing the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty, as well as Central Park and both rivers from the same building.
Shaun Reyes
I get it its busy its crowded but it's so nice to go to. Only issue I had is you can't get close to the tree like you use to be able to. It was blocked off a good 200ft or so.
David J Kanwisher
It's almost like a mall. They don't offer the NBC tour which was a huge disappointment. They have a Rockefeller tour. You can do "Top of the Rock" here which is a must-see. Outside you can see where they have some form of skating and the huge Christmas tree during Christmas.
Thomas Smith
Was busy for the holiday season and the tree is beautiful. I'd recommend going during the week days if possible for a potential of it being less crowded. The tree was lit up really well. Security is a colossal pain though and always bothering people that are taking pictures.
Abraao Mattos
It's a beautiful building, amazing view from top of the rock observatory. The Christmas decoration is beautiful, there's an ice skating rink. It's a beautiful place to be visited in NY.
Andrew Wainhouse
Really Interesting place.
Great for photos a must visit location for tourists like me.
You can go inside the Rockefeller tower there are some small shops and food stalls in the subway.
Outside you can go roller skating and there are some designer shops/stores.
Gary Goforth
Did the Top of the Rock experience and had amazing views of the city. If you go just pass by everyone at the first observation deck and go straight to the top. It has the best views and no glass in front of you.
John Foster
What an incredible building with so much broadcast history!? We visited and walked all throughout the basement and shops, hit up the ice rink and looked at some of the displays inside. I really was a fan of the finely polished floors, so intricate, lots of labor of love going in those floors!
This building is an architectural feat, and looks perfect in so many ways. To top it off, this is where so many of my favorites are recorded including SNL, Fallon, Today Show (hi Savannah and Hoda! 😍) and many more shows.
I recommend anyone visiting NYC to take a stop at this famous place, seen by millions every weekday and Saturdays.
expertz
While Rockefeller Center just looks like any other attraction, it’s beautiful Christmas tree and portrayal in the media makes it a magical and rejuvenating place to visit in New York City. With some stores leading to the beautiful ice rink and historic Prometheus statue, it’s definitely a place to pull your cameras out! I had a great time visiting this attraction, and I couldn’t believe I was actually there - the place I’ve seen in so so many movies!
Maricelle Evangelista
Went there to see the Christmas Tree (beautiful as always but super crowded) right before Christmas so off course the parking rates are outrageously high on their garage like everywhere else. We were informed right when we pulled up that it’s a prime rate ($87) fee no matter you only stay for an hour or so. Therefore we roamed around for almost 5 hrs to make it worth it! Plan accordingly!
Christopher Andrés Núñez
What a classic NYC place to visit. Obviously you want to go during the holiday season when it’s the busiest so you get the full jam-packed tourist experience where people are crawling over each other to get the same pictures everyone else is trying to get. Worth it.
The big tree is super pretty and all the decor makes for a magical moment. Just make sure to bring your strongest stiff arm as you have to plow your way through the masses of humans just to walk around.
I really enjoyed seeing all the influencers trample on the gardens and plants near the fountains to get that perfect Instagram photo. I brought my non city folk family down and they seemed to enjoy it all and not be too freaked out by the mad house that it is during the holiday season. So don’t worry if you’re not from the city, you’ll blend right in with all the awkwardness going on.
Tania Williams
Wonderful tree...its a big one. Saw 3 proposals on the ice. Very romantic... Great atmosphere amd lights and tree are very impressive.
Steven Foust
An iconic building to go check out. We bought the city pass which included Top of The Rock. It takes you to the top to where you can check out the surrounding area. There's places to eat and shop in the building.
Daithí Kilcourse
We always visit this location when in New York. We have been skating here and it was fantastic. It is nice all year around and there is so much to do in the area.
James Robert Troughton
Well worth a visit to get great views of Central Park (better than Empire State Building) also great views of the Empire State Building too. Nice open viewing areas too! Free admission with the city pass!
Cheryl Pratt
Love Rockefeller Center!
Christmas tree was still up when we visited. Majestic!
Enjoy ice skating or one of the cabin’s for a cocktail and and snacks during the winter.
We spent two hours taking in the sights, shopping, and people watching.
Head inside to warm up and be sure to book Top of the Rock for AMAZING NY views!
Matthew Parks
Another destination place for us. We really enjoyed our time there. Caught the Jimmy Fallon show. Stopped by the rink. Radio City. Must visit. Top of the Rock is great. Buy the city pass. It will allow you to hit 5 different NYC attractions for one price. Saves $$$. Also, by the metro card and use Google Maps to navigate the NYC. Using the Subway and your Feet will save you lots of coin. It cost us $10.80 to catch the subway from JFK to Time Squarez then we walked 5 blocks to the hotel. It cost of $86 via Lyft to get to airport.
mary austin
Beautiful place to walk around and see the tree if you can deal with crowds.
James M
Rockefeller is awesome no matter the season. It’s always crowded but worth it for the experience. Plenty of places to sit down and take in the scene. Right next to many iconic stores and 5th avenue.
Daniel Duran
Really enjoyed visiting the Rockefeller Center as it’s always lively with people skating around and enjoying a good outing! It’s one of the most relaxing areas to just find a seat a people watch while enjoying some good weather in New York City!
Maria Spiegelberg
Expect it to be packed during holiday weeks but that still didn't that still didn't take away from the magic of seeing the famous Christmas tree. Its what my kids wanted for Christmas and it certainly didn't disappoint. The whole area is just beautifully decorated and looks even bette at night.
Anita Kupka
Totally crowded, but exciting. Holiday spirit makes it tolerable. Top of the Rock is awesome. Lines moved quickly and the views are spectacular.
David S
Right in the heart of Manhattan and close to all hotels. Recommend going to the top of the rock as you can see all the main landmarks (Empire State Building, Central Park, etc.). Wish we had taken the Rockefeller tour to see more of the building. Ace’s pizza in the lower level was fantastic and was very nice to have our pizza under an umbrella beside the skating park. The famous FAO Schwarz toy store is in the Rockefeller center and a is hit for kids of all ages.
Alok Jolly
Always exhilarating. Great landmark ~ an iconic New York experience.
This year, the winter-time ice skating rink has been stretched into summer by being reincarnated as a roller skating rink replacing the former restaurant tables, so it's quite an attraction.
Katrina Williams
It stays pretty busy around here, but it make sense as Rockefeller Center is an iconic New York City location. The roller rink is expensive, and there is not a lot of seating, so I wouldn't recommend scheduling a long time to stay. You can book an art tour for $27 or $56 if you combine it with the Top of the Rock tickets. You'll get some really interesting facts and history about the area (but will totally look like tourists if you care). There are some dining, shopping, and restroom options if you enter the concourse under the center. Super clean and a cool break from the summer heat. All together touristy, but worth it if you've never been before
Tony Ramos
I did the top of the Rock experience. Outstanding overall. I personally recommend this experience over the Empire State Building if you had to pick between the two. Awesome views with no glass or bars to block it. Staff was super nice.
Natalya F
A must-see if touring. Very beautiful place, definitely recommend seeing it near Christmas. Only thing is that ice skating is very pricy, recommend checking in advance.
POOJA VERMA
A great experience for the holiday season. You obviously want to see the Christmas 🎄 tree and is one of the famous tourist spots . Weekday was fine with a little less crowd compared to weekend. We didn't wait to click the pics in the line to see the tree. You can also enjoy variety of drinks, hot chocolate and different vendors.
Damir Tadić
Beautiful art deco building commissioned by the Rockefeller family and built between 1930.and 1939.
Center has 19 buildings and main one is a 70 storey. One of NY iconic structures.
Shinobaby Shrimp
Thanksgiving weekend! Now that I moved out of New York, it is fun coming home and visit the Rockefeller. Came to see Christmas tree lighting just to find out the light shows on November 30th. Yet, the Big apple still beautiful.
Kierlyn Seeley
Touristy, but iconic. Go a day or two after new years to avoid crowds and go at night. Check out Ralph’s coffee stand and the pretty lights before heading out.
Mike K.
One of the more visitors friendly buildings. Built in 1932 and over 800' tall. Plenty of shopping and photo opportunities. Get your tickets for the tonight earlier in the week, or skate outside under this massive art deco building.
Marina Gonçalves
I went to the Rockefeller center to go to the top of the rock and I totally recommend going there.
The Rockefeller center has lots to see besides that, and one main attraction that I was lucky to see is the ice skate ring and the golden statue and this is the place where they put the beautiful giant Christmas tree every year.
Natalie Pote
Not just one building but a collection of them,
Shopping plaza, skating rink, cafés etc.
A true architectural marvel and yea,
A must visit in New York.
Certain areas like the rink, are given out for private functions so may be cordoned off briefly.
I was there in summer but have been told that the Christmas tree is an absolute must see. That’s next on the bucket list.
madein83
Was very busy but understandable this time of year...was very festive and looked lovely, although we couldn't really stop to take much in due to the crowds especially around the ice rink....definitely worth seeing though.
NN
Amazing place to go and enjoy the night view of New York!
One friendly reminder: you don’t need to go to line up, say, 20 mins in advance as they won’t let you in. You only need to arrive on time or perhaps 5 mins earlier.
Anthony Bennett (ComeWhatMay)
Wow, what didn't I enjoy doing in New York? Great views, very friendly staff about. This was my first attraction when visiting New York and it was a good one! I love New York, please please have me back 😁 …
Irfan Suleri
Wow what fantastic views! An excellent experience both in terms of the view as well as the service offered. Neat and clean and wonderful staff made my day.
Karl Thompson
I visited top of the rock as part of my trip to New York using the City Pass ticket. The building tourwas fascinating and informative but the views from the top where pretty mind blowing also the ability for my child to roller skate at the front of the building was a great bonus
Brandi I
Fun to go and people watch. The rollerskating locals were awesome to watch and the DJ playing did great. Go to the top and see the sights.
Shraddha Gaikwad
Love to visit the city during holidays.. Rockefeller tree was magnificent.. The overall decoration was amazing of course crowded but worth to see it.. Clicked some surrounding pics..
KJ Sudarshan
The view of the New York City is better here than the Empire State Building, and it’s also cheaper. Getting to the rooftop is covered in the ticket, whereas you’ll have to pay an extra 30$ to get to the top in Empire State Building. There’s also a skating rink in the ground floors.
This is a definite visit.
Sui Tie
It was my second time going to The Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. It’s always fun the staff are so welcoming and it’s exciting being 69 floors up there looking down on New York. Tell you what! It’s a site to behold.
jamie ford
Great views of New York and you get to oversee Central Park which you can't do and One World or the Empire State due to locations.
There wasn't any queues for us and we used our GoCity pass easily and went straight up to the 67-69th floors. Didn't do the tour but the reviews looked good for it.
Samuel Hozan
Check out the Christmas Tree 🎄 Very cool to see for sure. You can go ice skating ⛸️ I didn't get around to ice skating this time around, but maybe next time 😎 …
Lynsey Downie
Gorgeous view, easier to wait inside rather than out. You wait inside if you don’t book tickets so probably for the best. Just be mindful there is glass up at the first and second view point of Rockefeller. At the final there is none so that’s best for photos. Great views at night, it’s an extra $10 for sunset hours.
Dae G’s
Going to Rockerfeller Center on New Years Day probably wasn’t the best decision to make 🤦🏽♂️💆🏽♂️ it was sooooo many people. I know they can’t do much with the crowd but the movement from one-side to the next is beyond CRAZY! it’s like everyone pushing through and each other! It was hard to try and stop and get a picture in! But otherwise seeing the tree was beautiful. I’ve never been, so I wasn’t excited about the experience. I would definitely go back on a day where it’s not as crowded.
Carlos Araujo
Our favorite observation deck by far. We been to them all. If you want romantic sunset pics, this is the place.
M J
A must-see if visiting the city. Expensive to get to the “Top of the Rock” but certainly worth it. Amazing views of the city & the staff are super friendly & helpful too. Would highly recommend it. Iconic.
Noah
It was absolutely stunning! The view was amazing, staff was really nice and it wasn’t busy at all. We were able to take lots of pics and peacefully enjoy the view!
Sai Manudeep Gadde
Really enjoyed the musical show here in the night. The visuals were just pleasing to the eye. Lots and lots of crowd as the show goes on with short breaks and it is more beautiful during summer.
CsabaJ
If you can afford 40usd/ person, its a fun experience to see the city from the top!
Oh..and if you want a pamphlet/map of what you'll see on top, thats an additional 2usd.. like really?!
The elevator takes you to the 67th floor.
You'll be able to stay how much you want, there will be 2 extra upper floors you can explore and take pictures from, no additional fees.
During daytime it was not crowded at all, could comfortably take photos everywhere.
Mahsa Mkhani
I went to this place many times. The vibe is so great. There are many buildings around. I found it very insightful. I spent a lovely hour visiting around. The gardens are beautiful. There were people at the roller skating area at night. One of the great free things to visit in NY and see in the city. I Highly recommend checking this area out.
B Link
Okay, it is very cool to see the tree and walk around the Center but the ice rink is highly over rated. It looks like someone took a cat’s litter box and dropped it in front of the tree and poured ice in it for people to skate in. Very tiny and underwhelming. Better things to do in NY.
Trudy Vasey
Beautiful ice rink... Big tree with lots of lights but I expected there to be baubles and bows... Pretty all the same
Ludwing Villamizar
Top Of The Rock was recommended over the Empire State Building, so we went with it. We had to reschedule due to no visibility because of the fog. Glad we came later because we had great views at night. It can get busy coming down.
Liz Parra (LizComensal)
Never disappoints! Great place to walk and immerse in the Nyc holidays experience. For free you can walk around the plaza visit beautiful stores, go into St Patricks Cathedral or just sit there in the middle of everything, and just enjoy the sounds, the lights, the people.
Jade S.
The atmosphere in this area was amazing and so festive. Unfortunately, the world famous Christmas tree wasn't finished during our visit (mid November), but there's plenty to see (shops, restaurants, ice skating rink...)
Maria Gkovedarou
Another emblematic building sitting in the 5th Avenue opposite to st Paul's cathedral! It's close to expensive stores so it might get really crowded but try not to miss the great plaza at the centre of the building. It is quite spectacular!
c b
Roller skating, music dancing all in one place. We didn't go down to skate. Watched the people below having fun. It was a busy day.
Tatiana Bruce
We joined the Rockefeller Center tour and visited the observatory. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and even provided insights of landmarks around Rockefeller Center such as the St. Patrick Cathedral. We got to pass the secured gates to get a closer view/photos with the Christmas tree. The observatory definitely has the best view to the Empire State Building! Our appointment to the observatory was on a Saturday at 8:30pm and we couldn’t make it… the next day after ice skating at the rink, we went to the ticket office to see if there was any chance for us to use the tickets and they provided new tickets without any issues.
Elizabeth Yordy
A bit crowded but expected for the season. We walked from the angels to the ice skating rink, what was enjoyable was that no one was being pushy every one was being kind and letting people walk and take selfies and pose for pictures. Made for an enjoyable experience!
Tyler Stumbo
What an amazing experience, there's lots of similar views in NYC but looking above the entire city always takes your breath away. There are plenty of other great attractions if you aren't looking for views as well.
Kyle McCarthy
Rock Center is always a fun spot and this summer, there's a disco-pulsing roller rink down below the Atlas statue. Sad to see their 2 outdoor cafes are gone, it was always a great place to sit, dine and watch the world (and tourists) go by.
Tami G.
Beautiful place to visit especially around the Holidays. Very busy at this time of year. Ice skating rink which I believe is free until the spring when it converts over to roller skating. Across the street is Sax fifth Ave and its Holiday light display plays also. Lots of walking, shopping and sights to see. Parking is extremely expensive in the parking garages. There is some metered parking.
Pierre Guerrero
Super well kept and clean. Felt very safe in this area and that it was a safe and child friendly environment as well. Do recommend that you check out the inside of the Rockefeller center tower as it has incredible architectural designs
Javi
Beautiful plaza with access to many shops within and around it including the Lego store a wonderful chocolatier and Nintendo NY to name a few. The iconic skating rink is breath taking and a sight to behold with all the flags around it. In the warmer months it used to be converted to an outdoor seating area. It might still be under construction at the time of writing this but the underground shopping center below is worth a visit to say you've found a hidden spot in the city and last but not least you can purchase tickets to venture up the Rockefeller tower for a beautiful view of the city and Central Park! bit less crowded and a few floors lower than the Empire State (which you can also see from there) is still worth visiting atleast once
André Nicolas
THE HIDDEN ROOFTOP GARDENS OF ROCKEFELLER CENTER..
You Can Dine On Rockefeller Center’s Glorious Rooftop Park For A Limited Time This Summer.
The stunning new rooftop park on Radio City Music Hall is typically reserved for building residents, but this summer they are hosting a dinner series open to the public.
Located between 5th & 6th Ave at W 49th & E 50th is this great spot. You know you are truly in NYC when you are here. The vibe, the noise, the skating rink, NBC Studio's. It's all here along with a lot of people. An iconic spot right in the center of Manhattan. It's got it all going on. You could spend hours here, just people watching or shopping or eating. Surrounded by such buildings as The Rainbow Room and Radio City Music Hall. What's not to love. Yes, it's very touristy and busy but you have to visit. It's electric with atmosphere.
Nishil Patel
Beautiful area to come for especially during Christmas time when all of the decorations are out. Just gets slightly overcrowded during the holiday season. Decorations were slightly lackluster this year due to covid but tree was still amazing as ever
Curly Iguana
Visited with the kids on a Thursday evening, so it wasn't crazy crowded. We were able to take pictures, but found out that the ice skating was sold out for the day. Didn't know that we were supposed to book tickets online in advance (a few days in advance).
But nonetheless, a magical place, as always
Mike Kehoe
Very busy area, lots of lights and people ice skating. Everyone wearing masks and having a good time. Very light freezing rain a couple times when we were walking around, it made the experience that much better. We witnessed a proposal on ice it was really sweet, they cleared the whole ice rink for him, when he popped the question she said YES. Anyhow it was an enjoyable evening with all the lights and the BIG CHRISTMAS TREE. Security all around as well. Food trucks of popcorn, ice cream and more.
Christina Lu
An iconic tourist attraction for New York City. It's the best during Christmas time, especially after the tree lighting because everything is decorated beautifully. You really feel the Christmas cheer with the tree, ice skating, and all the shops. There's plenty of options from cafes, to restaurants.
Monica Baawuah
If you’re in New York City for holidays During Christmas, make a pass through and see this beautiful place.
I just went for sighting seeing.
If you need to dine there… I have no information for you 😊 unfortunately.
Vinnie 1973
Beautiful Tree, wonderful atmosphere a memorable experience. We're so very happy to have memory of seeing the tree this year!! A perfect Christmas celebration!!
Jesús Rodríguez
I always enjoy visiting this place, however the far e to get to the Top of the Rock is a little pricey, specially when traveling with the family, so We got fun in the fountain along with Atlas and Jupiter… by the way, my talented wife took an amazing picture👇🏼 …
Sam Butt
This place is full of energy. Nice shops and eating options. Skating is must. I can easily spend half a day just sitting here
Zane Rios
The Rockefeller Center is a iconic complex in New York City, featuring a number of well-known buildings and attractions. One of the highlights of the Rockefeller Center is the ice skating rink, which is a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
The ice skating rink at the Rockefeller Center is a fun and enjoyable activity for people of all ages. Whether you're a seasoned skater or a beginner, you'll have a great time gliding around the rink. The rink is well-maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful, making it a great place to spend an afternoon.
In addition to ice skating, the Rockefeller Center is home to a number of other attractions, including shopping, dining, and entertainment options. The complex is also home to the famous Christmas tree, which is a must-see during the holiday season
Timothy “Stefani Victoria Spears” French
Beautiful tree. It is iconic. I always love coming here to do photos at Christmas time. My favorite holiday! 🎄🎁🎅🤶🎶🦌🍭☃❄ …
David Arias
Wonderful place, totally worth it. If you get a city-pass it's easy to enter, anyway make sure you have a reservation for a specific time. The short videos inside are very interesting, the view is just as amazing as the Empire State
Anthony R
Rockefeller Center is one of the famous place to visit while in New York City. It's especially neat during Christmas time as they erect a very large tree within the heart of the Plaza. There are tons of shops and restaurants in the area along with the highlights being, Radio City Music Hall, FAO Schwarz, and the Rainbow Room. Rockefeller Center is really one of the most iconic tourist areas in the country and a must visit if your in the NYC area.
Dennis
Getting to top of the Rock was really a pain. The staff was kinda oberwhelmed of the many many people. We got a time reservation at 13:15 pm and got to the top over an hour later. We recommend coming earlier and not at sunset times. We went on a friday. View at the top was great
Suresh Jayaraman
Another amazing place to visit. Ice staking, music , food and shopping. Everything is so great about this place.
You have some unique shops around here and nicely decorated for chirstmas as well.
Another must visit if you are in NYC.
Vanitha Valarmathi
Lovely experience with the ice rink. Well maintained. For the rink you need to do timed reservation. Staffs are friendly.
Emrys
Beautiful view but a bit less impressive then the empire state building. A bit crowded too but beautiful view of Central Park!
Alexander Flemane
Iconic. Fantastic. Always worth the trip. Crazy crowds this year. Probably the post covid explosion of tourism but wow never saw such packed streets in New York City in my life ...and I've been going for years
angel drowned
December is the right time I say.
The beautiful lights filled all over and skating is just pleasing. They do had a show of lights on to the other building as well!
Skating is pretty expensive and very badly crowded. You literally hug a stranger lol.
Overall it was worth and nice experience. Will visit again during same month, so I can hug strangers lol
Philip Bradley
I live in NYC and still come through every year at the holidays. It’ll be packed with tourists, but it’s always worth a quick trip to see the tree. As with all touristy areas, watch your belongings.
Kym Harrison
We had the best evening up the Rockefeller. The 360 view were amazing! Everyone was kind and thoughtful and the staff were knowledgeable and patient.
We went up in the evening to see New York by night and the Rockefeller delivered some true sparkle! The lights sparkled and twinkled! Even better, my partner proposed 💍 …
bibban Mehendiratta
The vibes , celebration , the Christmas tree , that stands as a holiday beacon for tourist and locals , all add to the festivity here. It’s overwhelming to see so much crowd just enjoying the most amazingly lit Christmas tree , the tree changes it’s decor and lights every year , however it remains the most attractive tree and attracts millions to take pictures, selfies.the holiday mood just cannot be missed , it so rubs on all. This tree can be seen all over social media and is the pride NewYork city. Then the same place turns Into a restaurant in summers and you see a sea of people enjoying the flags around this place. Sitting out for a light meal .The buzz of this place makes it a quintessential spot to visit. There is something special about every moment you spend at Rockefeller centre and these experiences can only happen here. It is the epicentre of New York and it definitely delivers.
The only issue is the cafes around this place now have started over charging atrociously. Coffee at generally double the amount. The famous Magnolia bakery is next door , has the popular banana pudding , again expensive place.
Security around this place is very much evident , one can see lots of police officers and cars , they don’t generally come in your way. To manage crowd and traffic they become an important and effective tool.Getting an Uber is difficult from here as most of the time during Christmas the roads are blocked for traffic, or it’s so slow that cars avoid this road. However just walk a bit and then all is fine. Getting a table reserved for any meal during peak season is a Herculean task, rather impossible. Most bars around Rockefeller centre are so busy and they don’t encourage walk ins .
Chas Ruby
Well first of all the rink is much smaller than it was on any show I've see it on. So oncethat pasted, I felt the decorations were traffic stopping (and I mean that for the Christmas shoppers milling about). There was a definite merriment involved in the spectacular tourist stop. The mood was festive and well worth an hour or two stop to hone in to all the niceties that is offered here
Samantha Roman
Rockefeller Center is nice, but it can get very busy over there! It kinda ruin my experience of how crowded it is over there. So if you’re planning on going to Rockefeller Center, be careful and enjoy your visit.
Jennifer Brennan
We got the express passes for the Rockefeller Centre, and it was money well spent. The lines were long, and we walked in with no queuing.
The staff were lovely, and the views were awesome.
Highly recommended 👌

This time of year NYC gets all dressed up for the World 🌎 View and ready and preparation to be seen by millions of tourists who long for the Sparkling, utterly fantastic theme Holiday window Displays of some most High End sought after Department stores in the world. Rockefeller Center is so Iconic, love it, love the stores, the skating rink, the Xmas tree, the under pass, the building, everything! Awesome! Worth visiting many times.
Pedro Colón
Very crowded at night during the holidays but a beautiful place. The view at the too of the rock is worth it and the ice rink seems fun!
Dominik Weidmann
Beautiful view of the surrounding skyscrapers.
Who ist the first time in New York is an absolute must have
Price a little high i think 25$ to 30$ ist fair but the View is absolute amazing
Larbi Mouedden
Great place, we were there during the holidays and saw the Christmas tree and ice skating rink. We enjoyed the Sacks light show and had some street food. didn't do any shopping.
Pierrick Senelaer
We were very pleasantly surprised not to have to queue at all since we turned up on a Saturday early afternoon!
We were swiftly ushered up to the top of the building or observation deck. There are two levels to observe the 360 panoramic views.
They are spacious and easily accessible via an elevator or stairs. Note that there are just observation decks, no refreshments nor food available. There so a souvenir shop though.
Totally recommend this venue over the Empire State Building which gets a lot busier than this
Adn Bzm
An incredible view worth the price of admission. It gets really crowded around sunset, so be ready to fight for a spot to take a clear picture.
Lesley Burgoyne
Best tree ever. I’ve been so many times and it’s always worth it and magical. Can be crowded, especially at weekends. Light rain chases a lot of people off. Barriers now prevent you getting too close but it’s still very visible and beautiful. Light display on Saks always festive too. *seasonal review*
Anthony
Very festive, gets you in the holiday mood. Ice skating rink was nice. They have the tree barricaded so you aren't able to get close, though.
Stephen McD
enjoyed visiting one of the country's iconic sites... the rink was a little smaller than expected but overall a nice visit
SENDIL SOMASUNDARAM
Visited the ground floor. Planning to visit the top after four days. Understand that 🎄🎄⛄ is celebrated in a wonderful manner.
Nancy Walker
Christmas - Love the atmosphere! Exciting. Huge lines into Legoland and FAO Schwartz - happy smiling children. Huge crowd around the ice rink and Christmas tree.
alan mckay
The building is amazing with different decks and view's of all of the city you will not be disappointed. Then going at Christmas is a bonus with the tree and decorations are amazing with a lovely touch of the ice rink
Viajando con Mercedes
I love to go and take fabulous pictures is always beautiful and some new decorations that’s why you have to go and check it out what’s up there and they surprise us with an amazing decoration, just love going there is so special to me and my family ♥️🎄🪅
Sushmitha Belede
It was too crowded during the holidays. The whole place is so full of people it’s not worth seeing it. And also the queue is easily half a mile long. I’d rather spend time somewhere else than here.
Viviana Shanks
Completely a tourist attraction at this point and during the Christmas season. It doesn’t mean it ain’t an absolute spectacle to see it! Must see in NYC especially in December!
Amber Moss
It is a beautiful place the Christmas lights are beautiful. The amount of people that go here is ridiculous. There is so many people you can't see anything and you can barely move. It was over whelming how packed it was. You couldn't enjoy the sights because everyone was so cramed into the square.
Lara Mi
Absolutely beautiful a must visit during the holidays. Classic place to visit to do as little or as much as you like. I couldn’t take my eyes off the tree, so happy I got to visit here and cannot wait to be back.
Frank Bianco
Top of the Rock, not too crowded on a Saturday morning, beautiful view of the city, no wait to take 47 second elevator ride to the 67th floor.
Andreas Buergelt
What a beautiful viewing spot for looking around downtown Manhattan… really worth to go for it…. Highly recommended
Zachary Norensberg
They told me it was 50/50 visibility and I could wait until after but I thought it would make good photos. It did. If you have the opportunity to after it rains the skyline looks beautiful.
Mike Spear
Went for top of the rock observatory at night, well worth it. 360 degree views of manhattan at night are stunning.
M Huguet
Rockefeller Center has improved in a lot of ways. It's more welcoming and has a relaxing atmosphere. Although it's still pricey you can enjoy the better upbeated music for free.
Stefana Belkovska
An amazing place in the heart of NYC! A lot of shops to go, many restaurants and bars and food to go, including Amazon shop (surprisingly cheap btw).
There was an ice ring in January when I visit. Good music playing outside everywhere. The staff for the Rock was extremely unpolite (note that).
Joy Alvarez
An absolute must visit in New York during the Christmas season. the tree must be seen to be believed. It can get pretty crowded, but it is still worth a visit. Ice-skating here is also an iconic thing to do.
John Pozo
It was a great experience very crowded but didn't ruin the experience of walking through. Unfortunately no tree setup and couldn't go closer to the ice ring.
Ina Merten
I gave my son the VIP tour for his birthday. It was an absolute experience! Our guide was very funny and had a lot of information about the family and architecture as well as the construction of the rock. The view is mega and a highlight definitely the down ride with the elevator... let yourself be surprised ;-)
Alina Stein
Amazing view and very epic experience!! Go between 7-9pm, waits are not long outside but you do need to calculate between 30-40min until you reach the first platform
Nd D
I feel like the tree was so much bigger when I was younger. Maybe the expectations are different. The decorations around were the same as they were when I was a child. Kinda like the nostalgic of it.
May LLoyd
We did not have to wait, we entered immediately to have the city pass ready, the day was cloudy but it still had a spectacular view
Tammy Carpenter
Seeing the tree was amazing! It was really crowded but it was the weekend before Christmas so...all in all it was a bucket list for my daughter and I and we'd like to go back as this was a first trip to NYC :) We had a great time!
Chris Nieves
My first time visiting this was with my family while I’m town for a wedding a few weeks ago. Having grown up in the tri-state area I had never seen it, so I made it appoint to do so this holiday season. I will say, this was breathtaking. Even with the cold weather and how packed it was, this tree lit up was everything I could’ve imagined. It was cool to also see the NYE ball that was already up as well. I would love to make this a yearly tradition as the family and I truly loved every minute of it.
Manuel Garcia
I've always wanted to see the Rockefeller center since I was a kid. The experience was wonderful. In the past two weeks on vacation with my wife for 37 days we are visiting 20 states. It's amazing how much you see.
Joaquin Quintana
Not as crowded as I thought it would be, also not as big as it appears be on TV. I guess that is the magic of television. Didn't get tickets to check out the view from the top, but enjoy the sitting areas and people watching on the ground. A block away is Radio City Music Hall and a subway station.
Eloy Yip
Ladies and Gentlemen, the 2022 Rockefeller Center Christmas trees. Weighing in about 14-tons and is approximately 85-90 years old, this Norway spruce came from Queensbury, NY. My friend and came yesterday in the afternoon to a manageable crowd as 49th Street was blocked off from local traffic. The tree is lit daily until midnight and on display to at least January 6th. Happy Holidays!
Alex George Bejan
Very crowded on a Monday evening, mostly tourists of course, but local families with kids as well. Wonderful cheerful atmosphere, people really enjoying themselves.
Rebecca Hubbard (Beckatherecka36)
I visited in late June and went roller skating at night with my sister. We had a blast. The place was vibin and the music was legit.
Alicia Puckett
Awesome! Took my nephew for the 1st time, he loved the experience. Especially the videos of how they built it and all the vintage items on display 👌
Guy Stinson
Absolutely fantastic place to go and visit, we went early December to have a look and take in the Christmas experience of the biggest Christmas tree in NYC, and the Rockefella centre is out of this world and definitely will visit again soon 😀 😊
BBK's BBQ
Quite the magical experience seeing the tree. Bucket list thing to cross off. Be ready for some epic shoulder to shoulder crowds at night, but still worth the trip.
Bea Eros
Love it love it, they r just packing, organizing the show for tomoro lit up the Christmas Tree woww. So many lights, decoration, big brands, shops🌟🌃🌟😍 …
Michele Williams
It was fun watching everyone roller skate. The shops are unique and cute. Public restroom available inside on the lowest level.
Zee Lopez
This is as close you can get to the tree, it's blocked off so you take your pictures from the closed area. Surprisingly not a lot of people around like other years so you get to appreciate it. If you're going ice skating prepare for long lines and long wait, purchase tickets in advanced. To see the tree it's free
David Weinberger
Mythic place, I just regret we didn't have time to come back for sunset. But the view is amazing. Especially on central park
David Parkinson
Pretty good view! You get central park & the Empire State Building. The elevator ride is fun too, since the elevator ceiling is glass! Highly recommend!
K Rinehart
Crowded, but everyone was so considerate and friendly. Nothing beats NYC at Christmas and Rockefeller Center is the MUST see at night. Great view of Saks 5th Avenue window display as well.
Christina m
We visited this as part of our trip to New York. Wow amazing views and a really cool building with stunning artwork inside.
Dona Soedarno
Yes, exactly, a Historical Landmark, it is a must, if you have a chance to visit New York. Highly recommended. Every season brings different stories and different ambience, always give us special moments and special experience ✨✨✨✨✨
Nanda Jagadeesh Doijode
Nice place to visit specially during Christmas and New year. Good lightings and decoration all around with a skating rink too.
Andre McMahon
If you are visiting New York during the holidays you will love to experience Saint Patrick’s Church, the ice rink, and the Christmas tree!
LARRY SPIEGEL
Beautiful holiday area to visit in New York City. The holiday decorations, great shopping, restaurants, make this the place to be. Great for families. Also visit Central Park, Lincoln Center, and Bryant Park which are all close by.
Damon Pillinger
It is a central location surrounded by theatres, restaurants and hundreds of vendors , police and tricycles.
The area you will find yourself more than once if you visit New York
Katharina S.
Ice rink was totally overcrowded, but worth a visit for taking some holiday pictures.
I recommend to go in the afternoon or early evening when it’s getting dark to see the light show
Craig Hollid-Ausset
It's magical any time of the winter. The tree, ice skating rink and shopping are just great. Bonus, Saks Fifth Ave is right there and the light show impresses every year!
Manzoor
They should time limit the view because people get glued the glass and won’t move. South views are much prettier than north
alastair brown
Great views from the top. Really friendly security staff. Love the Art Deco feel
Ajimon Thomas
My second time seeing the tree for Christmas. The crowds were crazy but its worth it. Such a magical feeling seeing this iconic tree.
Michael Perez
We visited on Christmas Eve and it was as busy as one would expect. The light display on the side of Saks is pretty cool.
Duck into FAO to warm up and use the bathroom.
Jason Phillips
Most definitely one of the best tourist attractions in NYC. Stunning architecture with friendly, helpful staff.
aldo bardoino
The Rockefeller center was not what I expected, it looks more grand through pictures I also thought it was going to be bigger and have some more things but it was actually empty outside, there’s nice stores in the building but the main purpose to go there was for the courtyard by which I was very disappointed in.
It is awesome to go see because your in New York 🗽 but I would leave for last or next time or Christmas 🎄 season when you can see it with the tree maybe it might be more impactful.
The Picky Eater
The tree was even more beautiful and bigger than I anticipated. The view from the fountains was spectacular! Right next to the Saks 5th avenue show, top of the rock, the Lego store, st. Patrick’s cathedral, SAO shcwarz and very close to many others. Highly recommend for the Christmas season. You also need to check out the under ground shopping center!
Gilbert Morales
What a great view... Very beautiful building... If you come to NYC it's a must see.
Shawn Wilson
It was a great nostalgic experience, from always seeing it in the movies to being up close and personal for the holidays. From street food to small activities to the light shoes on 5th Ave. Definitely a great time to come with family is during Christmas.
I can't wait to ice skate here.
Tim Montgomery
The Rockefeller is worth checking out. Lots of shops and food/coffee. The top of the rock is a good time as well.
Brian Quinn
Lots of tourist. Iconic place in NY. Busy and I’m not sure what’s up with the clothes hanging around the flag poles. That needs more explanation.
jillian b
The holidays are a fun time to be a tourist in New York City. Come to Rockefeller center to art the 2022 tree, ice skating & shopping. This Sunday and next fifth ave is closed to cars so you can see Bergdorf Goodmans windows, Cartier, Saks Fifth Avenue all the luxury locations.
Robert Hendy
An amazing part of NYC!
Very busy with tourists, but there is so much to see!
Lego store had a 5 minute wait, American Girl Doll store, FAO Schwartz, Nintendo store and so much more!
Andres Woolcott
Top places to visit in NYC on Christmas time.
A lot of stores, the Christmas light show of Sacks Fifth Ave in front of Rockefeller as well.
The whole experience it is just amazing. Don’t miss this area when you go to NYC.
alexander valera
I was lucky and happy to be here last Christmas season even though the place is crowded. The displays are gorgeous and very nice, people are non stop taking pictures and video.
Maria de los Angeles
I love thé Rockefeller center !! Thé FAO toy store is there! The big Christmas tree that is the most popular of all time is there. The ice skating that is popular too is there. Few Jewerly stores and many restaurants and coffe shops are there too. I went for Christmas and it was crazy busy . There is a line before entering the FAO toy store . And a wait line Infront of every coffe shop inside the center probably because it was a national holiday !! I rated 4 for the fact that elevators are old and hard access easily with the baby stroller
Raghavendra Vema
Went to check the Christmas decorations and lights. They have great skating rink! Fun place to be but extremely crowded in the evening
Kristen L. Matulis
Rockefeller Center's plaza is definitely a sight, even on a cloudy or rainy New York City day (as pictured). I haven't been inside Rockefeller Center, or to the Top of The Rock, but I'm looking forward to visiting at some point! Particularly, if the views from the observation deck are as cool as the scenes in the plaza, I already know it'll be so worth the experience!
Jasmin !
Had a great time here. Went ice skating and it was such a great experience. Everything from the view, ice skating, music, all the people gathered around looking down at the ice rink, it was really fun. Definitely recommend
Nick Humphries
Awesome views of the entire city. You get a great view of all the icons of the city, including Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, and Empire State building.
Chandar Prashar
The building clearly isn't the tallest in New York anymore but the view from the top was brilliant. We spent around 90 minutes wandering around the different levels at the top, each one gave you a different perspective on the city. The two top floor/tiers are Lawley open, and give you a clear view of New York and the bridges around crossing into New York. You can see everything from here manhatton Bridge, brooklyn bridge, the statue of liberty.
We took loads and loads of great pictures to remember the visit
At the bottom of the rockerfeller centre there are loads and loads of eating areas where you can get a variety of food. The only issue was yhe amount of space fir you to sit and eat. However that didn't really spoil the experience
guy croucher
So good I visited twice once on Friday afternoon then again Sunday night. The view are amazing at night
Joe
Great spot to be in the midst of all the holiday attractions going on. The infamous tree, skating rink, dancing Salvation Army collectors, and many others, all in one area. This is my 3rd time visiting during holiday season and it really seems to make everyone happy, which is great to see smiles on everyone's faces after these past 2 years. Easy to get to from Times Square. Due to Covid they do have barriers around the tree so you can only get within about 50 feet of it. Which, having been here pre-Covid, seems to be for the better as you aren't jam packed in with thousands of other people. Highly recommended to stop by here
Lynne Stevens
A must to go to. So interesting reading the posters and discovering all that went on before and during the depression. Great views and quirky statues. Loved it.

Muy bonito en 🎄🧑🎄❄️, Ambientazo !!
No te puedes quedar sin subir al
mirador TOP OF THE ROCK
y visitar sus 3 niveles en la terraza...una vista perfecta para ver Manhattan... 360*
Very nice in 🎄🧑🎄❄️, Great atmosphere!!
You can't stay without getting on the
TOP OF THE ROCK viewpoint
and visit its 3 levels on the terrace... a perfect view to see Manhattan... 360*
Kevin Hines
Great plaza with so many things nearby. NBC studios, observatory, skating/ice rink depending on time of year, great stores and restaurants nearby.
suzy
It's iconic, they were setting the tree up while we strolled through. If you are wanting to do the touristy things this is a good spot to stop. But exploring NYC outside the main attractions is my favorite
Gail M
The tree had just arrived, not yet upright.
Ice skating was nice, better to watch.
Didn't go to the Observation Deck, too expensive.
Queen Of the South
Skating rink is much smaller than I anticipated yet area is really beautiful. Police patrol were attentive to any bags left behind.
Vivian “Muneca444” Velez
We were spending the day just walking fifth avenue looking at the sights and enjoying the beautiful day! Rockefeller center was not as crowded as it usually is but there were many tourists there...
When we were kids, Rockefeller center seemed to be so big...lol
As adults it looks smaller to us...lol
It's still nice to walk around and enjoy the sights and watch people (tourists) as they absorb N.Y...
Fun fact, Rockefeller Center will open in the fall for rollarskating!!! Roller skating hasn't been available since 1940!!!
St. Patrick's Cathedral is right across the street from Rockefeller Center! There are many shops, F.A.O. Schwartz, Michael Kors, food stands, roasted chestnut stands and you may even decide to go ice skating!!! There is so much to do here!
More reviews to come from me!
If you like this review, please check the thumbs up!!!😉🤗😊
Buddhas Fury
Really impressive Building. It feels like there is a store of every big chain. It also feels really luxurious and expensive. They also have free nice restrooms wich is rare in NYC. The ice skating place was a little underwhelming.
JW
Always a great time, especially during the holidays. Can get very packed, especially during the Saks light show but that’s expected. Even as a native New Yorker, going to see the tree every year is still a tradition.
Dave B
Incredible experience just being here but brace yourself for an intense crowd. Didn’t go for any tours or observation deck but maybe next time.
ClassicBob100
wonderful time visiting Rockefeller Center . photos from over thirty years ago, and of course not complete without Radio City Music Hall, Five star experience.
Ana M
Is great place to visit and take pictures! So many interesting place to know in New York and Rockefeller center is one of them.
David O'Sullivan
Always iconic any time of year. A great touristy place to pop by and see everyone having fun, skating and shopping. FAO Schwatz is just on the corner, so had to pop in. Must get skating next time I'm in the city!
Melissa Norman
Bucket List ✔️ So Gorgeous!! Lots and lots of people! Worse than Disney on that but overall Gorgeous!!!
nisakorn masunthasuwan
A must-see landmark of NYC during festive Christmas & New Year seasons. Prepared to be in the crowds of thousands of people.
Nikola Stanchev
Amazing decorations every time I visit the place. New attractions and plenty of stores.
John Mann
Truly a NYC tourist staple. I can't ice skate but got out there and tried. Made it around the rink twice. Pretty organized and staff very helpful.
Tammy Watkins
I love Christmas trees, ive been wanting to see this one for so many years and FINALLY! Its more beautiful in person than in pictures.
Amiel Felipe
Great time to visit NY and Manhattan. Great Christmas scenerary, walking streets and beatiful decorations. Lot and lot of peaple on a Sunday, if you like a big crowd, visit after 5:00 pm the area.
Matt M
Great experience. The view is amazing. The history is very interesting and I love the art deco architecture.
Alex Vazquez
Great spot for lots of pictures. Bring the kids! They will love it.
There is a little outdoor bar that offers wine and local beer
Jazmin Jurado
I've been going to Rockefeller center area throughout my life. But my favorite time is during the holidays. Very overcrowded that has not changed. The 5th Ave closure gave this night trip a different vibe. Felt more like a festival. Took pictures watched people skate went downstairs of rocketfeller to warm up. Walk through St Patrick Catheral it was Magical.
Cristian Sfetcu
The tree outside the building is incredible. You should definitely go and see it if you're in New York.
Marina Gerstemeier
Rockefeller never disappoints. It’s entertaining to watch the skaters, and the view from the tower is amazing. There also lots of great shops nearby.
Becky Salas
It's over rated this year in 2022. It's not much there but a giant tree and little bit of night lights and the tree not that great. I've seen better in other people homes and at malls
If they wanted to do better they should of added more ornaments and giant decorations like chase building did right across the street
Katherine Ehlinger
Fountains on to cool down on a hot day. Great to see the flags up for Pride month.
Khanhlinh Le Begin
One of the most beautiful place in the world. OMG so many people come here for holiday.
Emily
Great place to visit, some really lovely shops and cafes in the main building. Would highly recommend visiting Top of the Rock whilst you're there!
Gilles Feith
Top of the rock is IMHO the best view in town as you have a free unobstructed view of NYC
arjen riezebos
Lovely view from the top right over NYC! Make sure you don’t miss that view 🌅🏢 …
Ana Fulgêncio
Iconic place, always worth a visit when in NYC. Lovely by day and night, the golden statue overviewing the lower deck (where there is the ice skating ring in wintertime).
Nerd Block
A must stop on the holidays if you are in NYC. We went for New Years Eve and Day. It's breathtakingly beautiful!.
jay ram Chowdary
Been here on a Wednesday afternoon on. Hop on hop off bus. Took a blue bus which takes us through uptown NY. It’s bit sunny in the afternoon but great place to visit. Really historic and shows the power and influence of Rockefeller.
Atsushi Yamanaka
They created roller skating rink. Also one of the building has nice mural depicting American might.
Larry C
Rockefeller Ctr, around the corner from the brightest lights of 5th Ave Christmas displays has its own brilliant light displays and the famous Christmas tree as a back drop to the equally famous skating rink. All of this is worth a visit if you can tolerate the crush of tourists. Fifth Ave., St. Patrick's cathedral, and Rock Ctr is so jammed with viewers it is a horror to try to wade through the crowd. Yet, every couple of years we brave the crush to see Saks' light display and to watch the joyous skaters.
Bridget Walters
I feel this is a must do NYC experience. I do not recommend thinking youre going to be skating a bunch, though...way too many inexperienced skaters.
Alex Hatola
I go here every once and a while, and I am so impressed every time. It is so nice to walk around, especially during the holiday time. It is pretty touristy, but I still love it! From the ice skaters, to the beautiful tree, the atmosphere is so nice. Even as a little kid, it was one of my favorite places to go. This place is 100 percent worth visiting at least once!!!
st pra
Just a wonderful experience and one of the top sights in New York, we went at night and didn't regret it.
Sheron Abernathy
Attended the lighting of the Christmas Tree for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. Met a lot of nice and very fun people! Bucket list wish achieved!🥰❤️
DA Tejero
Went during the holidays. Giant christmas tree, Saks 5th Ave window and light display, skating rink - all decked out and decorated! However, the crowds were suffocating and the traffic was horrible. Some streets in the area were closed to accommodate more people but avenues remained opened.
Nancy Montes
Went with friends for "Mexico Week: Día de Muertos at Rockefeller Center" around 8 p.m. and it was great! There are sculptures, vendors and just loved the ambiance.
MMM Sh0000gunna
Great views. Elevator taking forever
Great view. Extra $10 during sunsets hrs
Stuart Evans
Finally got to see the tree at Rockefeller, an amazing experience to see.
Can be very busy to get around but amazing all the same
Curtis J Morley
Such an iconic and romantic location. Skating around the tiny ice rink during the holidays feels like you're in a Christmas 🎄 movie.
The lighting of the tree on Thanksgiving is truly magical and not too be missed.
Unknown User
Feeling like time traveling to the 1930's due to all the old art the way the building is designed. The building itself is not to special but I would recommend visiting anyways
Joshua Wood
Not too bad during the day but practically dangerous during the evening around Christmas time, I’m surprised there has been no accidents considering how everyone is packed in and nowhere to move. I would genuinely avoid it at this time of year as much as possible.
Peter Grambs
The tree is a beautiful as ever. And Bloomingdale’s across the street has a great light show.
Derek Chan
As a local I try to avoid this place during the Holidays but the tree makes Rockefeller Center a bucket list item for those visiting NYC.
Try to avoid the weekends as you will find nothing but a sea of humanity. The good news is recently the city started blocking off surrounding streets, creating more space.
But getting a close glimpse of the tree will still be a challenge. Be patient and keep your kids close.
Cheikh Ndiaye
One of the very popular places in NYC. I used to work around here, so it is not as special to me as it might be to others. I would highly recommend it though for ice skating and for seeing the Christmas tree!🎄🔥
Chelsea H
I come here every year in December, still love it. It's like a tradtion for me, I won't get tired of looking the whole set up, and always have a photo or 2 with it. Thanks for keeping it up every year, warms our heart.
Andrea Addington
Rockefeller is fun to stop by on a trip to New York but it can be really crowded. If it's on your way, get a picture in the center, it's worth it. Grab a coffee at the Ralph Loren coffee stand though, it's seriously the best flat white I've ever had.
MONONONO
Rockefeller Center is a must-see destination for anyone visiting New York City. Not only is it home to iconic landmarks such as the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and the statue of Atlas, but it also offers a variety of shopping and dining options on the 5th Avenue. One of the best things about Rockefeller Center is how easy it is to find bathrooms while shopping, making it a convenient spot to spend a day exploring. I highly recommend visiting Rockefeller Center for its historical significance and modern amenities.
Fay Lewis
One of the mainly historical gems of NYC. The marvelous attention to detail and vast beauty of timeless design all in one city block. Christmas time is amazing but you can also get a great photo here anytime of the year! A must for your todo list in NYC.
Stu Anthony
Beautiful, travelled 3000 miles to see it and didn't disappoint. Best Christmas Tree and what a view from the top
Karen Gale
Very crowded but the flowers and trees were pretty. People were roller skating and the area is clean.
Aaron Prohaska
11/23/2022
Even though my wife got a bit freaked out on top of the rock, we had a lovely time. NYC is so cool and anti capitalist or not, Rockefeller is a staple of the town.
Lydia Roberts
This place is so beautiful at night, and there's ice skating and shopping nearby. And as you probably know, it's really crowded
Olivia Romero
Rockefeller center is back! With excellent line up of DJs and a superb variety of musical selections for roller skating in a safe environment.
Typical of downtown Manhattan parking is a challenge so be prepared.
You get to skate for one hour for approximately $20.00 and the rental skates are in good condition because this is a new location.
There are skating nechanisms for those that are new that can be used to maintain your balance; however with roller skating there is always the risk of falling so make sure you have knee guards and wrist guards if you're balance is not that good.
Finally the skating surface is not wood and it is not cement so only certain types of wheels will properly grip that type of surface. Make sure your wheels are compatible or use the rental skates instead. ENJOY!!!
Mitesh Joshi
Nothing better than visiting the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center! The whole place has some amazing vibes and crowded ofcourse.
Lee Partridge
We bought express passes and glad we did as the queue was really long. Lovely views across the city. 3 viewing floors to see everything and lots of shops on the ground floor for shopping and food etc.
Danny Mcguiness
Great outing in the city! Allot of people but got to see the tree, around the corner at sax's they have a cool Christmas light show with music, it was cool!
Almagul
Great place for family and friends. I've been here during Thanksgiving and was able to enjoy early Christmas decorations. There's an ice rink right next to the Christmas tree, if you enjoy skating.
Ottotinne
An amazing experience to go during the winter! ❄❄❄
A large, ornated christmas tree accompanied with skating rink for everyone. A little busy but it is worth it if you are close to the place.
Bella Jay
Beautiful and is a must during the holidays. Head up, it’s always crowded but a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
Fiona Molloy Lepperd
There is nowhere quite like Rockefeller Center at Christmas, to kick your Holiday Spirit into high gear. It has been many years and it is still as fabulous as ever. The music light show at Saks 5th Ave is an amazing addition.
Celmira Lamadrid
Nice place, always activities for everyone.
Rooftop tickets available from $40 per person.
Inna Skoroda
Nice place, but we were on time when they were installing a Christmas tree and the view was not very nice.
melanie heseker
Too crowded and crazy and cold. It would be better if people could walk around all sides of the tree. The ice skating was booked out - if you want to ice skate Book your tickets in advance! Don’t go here with kids, it’s too busy.
Will R
Always a great time at Rockefeller Center. I went on Christmas day and it was packed but didn't mind it . As a New Yorker I knew it was expected to be crowded. Great times...
T. ReX
No comment is needed for this place. One of the popular tourist place in NYC. Must visit for Christmas Tree, Ice Skating and nice restaurants.
Nathan Dike
Crowded, but so cool, make sure if you’re checking out the tree for the holidays see the lights show on the facade of Saks
Glenda Nieves
It was a beautiful experience that everyone needs to be able to go and see and experience. The view is amazing 😍. I loved having the opportunity to see this and go to the top of the rock.
Josh Wheeler
A must do in the city! The best view of NYC in all directions. Well worth it.
Kofi Boateng
Very crowded during the holiday season. There is an indoor walkway space that you can enter during the freezing cold months.
Midwesterner
Visiting Rockefeller Center after Jan. 1 was a great plan. The tree was still lit. While there were other tourists around, you could move easily to get a view of the tree.
Teri Weil
Loved seeing the tree. If you go, prepare for large crowds and a lot of walking
Melinda Rubenau
It's free to view the tree from the street. Very nice experience, but be prepared for a mass amount of crowds, because, you know, it's NYC so it's always busy.
AHMAD FARIT BIN MAZLAN
Big christmas tree. good spot to take pictures. you need to pay for the ice rink. many shopping places nearby
Susie Singer (Susie Singer Realtor)
Besides one of the staff members being rude and then them not explaining where exactly we were supposed to be going.. it was a magical moment! This one was for my beautiful granddaughter Megan Jo Parchman.. love you babe xoxoxo 😘 Happy NYC Christmas ⛄🎄and this was someone's special day.. a proposal on the rink when we got here! So sweet.. congrats on your special day whoever you are 💕💞🌲☃️🥳
Kevin T Jordan
it was so nice with all the Christmas decorations and lights, people ice skating at 8:30 in the morning, with a long line..so get there early.
Bella DeZON
Big X-mas tree makes ppl feel Christmas more better....
Update:

They already have the skating rink. It is very clean and safe police everywhere..

The ace in front of the Rockefeller tower used for skating, ice in the winter. Nice decoration

francine brown
Love Rockefeller Center, the tree was beautiful and not too crowded 4 days before Christmas. Try to rent a chalet overlooking the ice rink at $30 for 30 minutes very fun experience.
Kathy McKenzie
A perfect way to get your mug on TV and see purfavorite anchor men and women. Easy entrance and the engage with the crowd. It's worth getting up bit early. Be in line by 8-830 depending on the guest.
Sam Appleby
Incredible view over Manhattan. We got the sunset viewing too which made it extra special
Benna Pinder

Amazing experience. But very crowded. Nothing to do expect skating and shopping. Also you can sit and relax
Christian Marian
What a way to celebrate Dia de Los Muertos. Bringing the Mexican Culture to NYC. Beautiful layout and sculptures. It's up only for a limited time, so go visit ASAP.
Marcelo E. Lopez A.
Beautiful architecture gem in midtown manhattan! A must visit location for tourist or locals!
Andy Cardinaels
1 of the most iconic buildings in NYC would like to see some more stores inside this marvelous building however.
Arif Shaikh
This review is for rockefeller Christmas tree only. Tree looks magical but not happy to see so many people on small walkway.
Maria Trainor
A NYC must!! Really is beautiful to stand at the tree and take it all in before heading up to the top of the rock! Staff are so helpful and polite.
Chris Gray
Had an amazing view from 50 Rock while performing construction on a few floors. Also at ground level. What a beautiful tree and place for the Holidays.
Isabelle Herring
We new it was fogged in, but our last night and we had tickets prepaid. The employees are delightful and made sure we knew it was almost no visibility. We were happy anyway!
Rosh R
Great area with a good vibe and a roller rink in summer months. Nice fountain and view of Rockefeller building
Naadira Brown
Visited this landmark to rollerskate at Flipper's Roller Boogie. My husband was hosting an event there. The atmosphere was nice and of course, great for pictures. If you are planning to skate, be advised that the surface works best with a softer (outdoor) wheel. Enjoy yourself!
Vlad Bezden
Beautiful place. Very crowded. Everybody takes pictures. If you would like to take pictures there expect to spend there at least 40-60 minutes.
Curt
It's super crowded and full of sight seers. Lots of NYPD officers who are nice and helpful.
Goody Cambay
Great observation deck in New York City in decades now. Center of the city beside the Radio City.
Mario Vasquez
Great place to be,there was a skating ring at the bottom .... very beautiful sculptures!!
Rommel Lagmay
Visited this place October 2021 and few times before that (since I started visiting New York in 2001). It’s a beautiful place especially when it’s not very crowded.
Joanne Jarman
Rockefeller center is beautiful and iconic! If you can visit at Christmas time and see the tree I highly recommend it! The ice skating rink in the winter is a bit small but again, iconic and beautiful!
Molly Zembko
Fun attraction to visit- especially if you need to get out of the cold, indoor shopping area with stores and food.
Kevin Tait
All around amazing area to visit. Was able to schedule time on the rink (surprisingly quite easy) and had even more fun there. The plaza is beautiful even when the tree isn't up, *watching* skating can be quite fun, and even going through the building(s) is interesting- there's some great shops in there! Primarily aided by the skating- an experience I'll never forget.
ID M
Pictures do not do it justice. If you love iconic Christmas scenery then this is something that has to be on your bucket list. Yes it's in one of the largest and busiest cities in the world - but that's what makes it even more iconic. Best tip is it to see it later in the evening or early morning. There are a lot of people who come to see it at Christmas time. Be prepared. It's the city that never sleeps :)
Jenn C
Too crowded, almost impossible to get a good picture! Maybe during the day would be better to go. But it won't be as beautiful as at night. Anyways first time going for christmas time I couldn't miss the tree!
Ann Kb
Very crowded at night, especially around the tree but it's absolutely beautiful. It's worth to see once atleast. Keeps the Christmas spirit alive in NYC.
dillon xerri
This is a beautiful place to be especially around Christmas time with large crowds ice skating is available
Hussain Rizvi
A NYC holiday icon. Must visit at least once in your life. There are heavy crowds but the Saks light show and the Christmas Tree are worth watching. The atmosphere is festive and electric. The ice skating rink is sold out in advance so recommend getting tickets early. Great experience for the whole family.
Iuliia Koloskova
Beautiful tree and window displays around, but I wish there were fewer people, more space to walk 😅 …
Özkan Özkoldaş
To get an incredible view of Empire State Building, you should go to the top of Rockefeller Center. It was an awesome experience. I loved it.
D. B.
In NY at Rockefeller Center. It is 17 degrees today. It was cold but the beautifully lit trees and the wonderful feel of Christmas made it a beautiful night with family.
Daniela S Rosado
A must go experience!! The best view at NYC, get all the way to the top of the rock and you will have a breath taking views.
Nicolette McGrath
It's absolutely gorgeous and worth the trip. HOWEVER, be prepared to deal with pushy crowds. And I MEAN pushy. I was shoved by the crowd behind me, literally, through a crowd going in the opposite direction. If you're not someone used to this, it's quite shocking.
sharon
Beautiful area to walk around. There is a giant Christmas tree and a little park. There's also an ice rink
Claire Ni
The observatory here is not very well managed compared with observatories in other buildings, visitor flow management is quite unsatisfied, un organized and some service staffs are even rude. Not to mention the ticket fee.
Dr.Suman Mandal
It's really nice place to visit, specially for the tourist. The big Christmas 🎄 and Rockefeller tower can make your day memorable.
Giorgi Lynx
Hello from NYC RC, always visiting Worlds best Christmas Tree, as always Christmas time crowded, and you know what? It should be crowded, that's New York City, Rockefeller Center, Happy New 2023 to World 🌎, Peace and Health to every Family, everywhere …
Heather Laureano
It's always been a dream of mine to Visit New York during the holidays. As a kid , every year watching the lighting of the tree. When I found out I was going to be moving to New York, living the past 20 years in Puerto Rico. When I entered Rockefeller Center for the first time and saw the tree, all I could do was cry. Very magical moment that I'll never forget.
andrew pocchia
a must see site of Manhattan for the Christmas season . in my opinion the ice rink in Central park is better . lots of people . stay aware of your surrounds .
Team Bossbabes
We had a really wonderful time, NYPD was very present so we felt very safe walking around the area from Time Square to Rockefeller center. Grand time ❤️
Van
It's a nice tourist spot. It's always great to go from TV to in-person!
Suraj Niroula
I always visit Rockefeller center after the tree is up and it doesn't disappoint. Just be mindful that there will be a huge crowd.
Kevin Markman
The tree and the experience put us in the spirit of the holidays. The bustle of New York is ever present in this area. Right by NBC studios and Radio City.
Jessika Crawford
You have to go here, just to say you did. It's iconic with it's picturesque views. Since I live here, I don't go unless I have to. It is so very much too crowded. People stop in the middle of the street to take pictures, and I trip over them. I understand the attraction. I understand the crowd. But I also understand that I'm going to leave it to the tourist to visit.
