Reviews of Kings Theatre
Kristina Montesano
Absolutely gorgeous theater, truly magnificent architecture and design. Staff were efficient and incredibly friendly. Had the absolute pleasure to see Puscifer here and everything went smoothly. The only gripe is the outrageous prices for drinks and snacks but that’s to be expected. Otherwise, would love to see another show here.

Saw two amazing bands at this venue on Monday night. Staff are professional and friendly. The entire theater is clean, well lit and carpeted. There is coat check available for $5. There are also ADA bathrooms on the first floor available behind curtains. Main bathrooms are down the stairs. There are no elevators. To reach the balcony area, you must climb stairs. Seats are clean and plush. There are drink holders at every seat. The bars are on the first floor. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

First timer at Kings Theater .
It is a distance from queens but definitely worth the travel .
The venue is beautiful, the staff were friendly and efficient. I loved the high ceilings and multiple bars. Bathrooms were located downstairs. clean and no lines . First night I was in pit and an it was spacious and the view was good standing anywhere. Definitely recommend seeing a performance at this venue . Will be back in 2023.

I went on a tour of the theatre this past weekend and if you have any interest in historical buildings in New York, then this is a must visit. Our guide Peggy was so wonderful and knowledgable, it was such a great experience. You get to walk around the entire space and photos are almost encouraged. It's insane that this was abandoned for 40 years, its restoration is absolutely breathtaking.
Shannon Gilbert
Interesting architecture. Good acoustics. Seats are comfortable enough, the rows are just far enough apart. It sucks when people move around during the shows. The snack bar, real bar refreshment situation Kind of sucks here. Would be nice if there was a little more variety in the food and drink. Not a lot of great parking options nearby. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby before or after.

History, elegance & immersion blended together to create the experience that is the Kings Theatre! Give yourself the treat of a lifetime by going to see a show hosted in this glorious hall. The details in every nook any cranny throughout the entire hall are truly a spectacle! My partner and I were blessed to get to see one of the best movies live with an orchestral accompaniment. (Into The Spiderverse!) I can’t wait to visit my next show here and regardless of whether it’s acoustic or otherwise I’m sure you will be pleasantly surprised with your time spent!😇👍✅

The King’s Theater is an absolutely gorgeous entertainment based attraction and is the premier performing arts venue of Brooklyn, New York.
Designed by architectural firm, Rapp & Rapp, the King’s Theater initially opened as a movie palace in 1929 and was owned and operated by the Lowe’s Theater Chain.
After it’s closure in 1977, the theater went through multiple decades of neglect and deterioration.
Thanks in large part to New York City’s efforts and its collaboration with private developers, the King’s Theater was the extensively renovated, restored to its former glory and has featured live music and stage performances since 2015.
In November of 2022, I brought and treated my wife and myself to attend the Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet at the King’s Theater and we absolutely enjoyed watching this show at this venue!!!
Upon visiting King’s Theater, both my wife and I were graciously welcomed and treated by the theater’s staff, and we were unquestionably captivated by the theater’s atmosphere and interior setting.
We were in awe of the beauty and glamour of the grand lobby and were equally impressed with the grandeur and opulence of the theater’s auditorium, mezzanine level and stage.
My wife and I found our seats to be comfy and spacious, and it provided us with a quality view of the show.
We very much enjoyed the music and the superb performance of the cast featured in Nutcracker! Magic Christmas Ballet.
When traveling to King’s Theater, I recommend that you use public transportation because of limited street side parking and the parking lot located nearby is undergoing renovation.
Despite this setback, both my and I give a huge thumbs up to King’s Theater, rate it among our favorite performing arts venue and definitely recommend for others to visit there and watch live theatrical performances!!!
You’ll enjoy your time at the theater just as much as we did!!!

If you want to go a world class venue to see a show and have a world class experience then the Kings Theatre in Brooklyn is the place. As someone who has seen and been to multiple shows and venues around this country let me say other venues should emulate how things are done at the Kings Theatre. All the Employees who worked the Puscifer show on Saturday 6/25/22 were amazing but one in particular named Ernest really stands out. Speaking from experience most concert venues and their employees usually don't interact with it's patrons waiting outside until the doors open and enter. Ernest was different, he communicated with us several times as the group of people waiting outside began to grow larger. All of us who arrived several hours early and who had purchased the ambassador premium seating upgrade experience (well worth it) for a chance once inside to purchase a limited edition show poster from this event. Ernest listened and answered all our questions and addressed all our concerns. He's definitely a problem solver and someone who thinks outside the box. In doing so that evening he made sure that everyone who attended the Kings Theatre had an awesome positive concert experience. I now consider the Kings Theatre the standard for which all other concert venues are judged against. Unfortunately I doubt they have employees like Ernest who actually care about people

Truly one of the most beautiful theaters I have been to. The restoration is phenomenal. Don’t miss any opportunity you may have in visiting!

This is the first time I came here. I saw the No Cap Comedy Tour with Deray Davis, Chico Bean,Karlous Miller,Michael Blackston, Lil Duval, and DC Young Fly. Show was sold tf out! That line omfg went all the way round Beverly st and 22nd st! Line started moving fast eventually, though. I arrived at 10:05pm, the show was for 10:30 pm. Next time I'll be going at 9 pm! I can't waaiiittt to go back!!!!! Heads up, their was no damn tissue in the ladies' room for the show . Eventually, around 11:30 pm,it was tissue. Then, around 1 am, ish, no more damn tissue! I made sure the second time I went to the bathroom to take three rolls of tissue! Two to clean the toilet seat with hand sanitizer (ladies always carry hand sanitizer!!) and the last roll to wipe. All the toilet seat covers were finished! Overall, great experience for my first time.

I really like this place. I have been here several times for events, and I have always enjoyed myself. Comfortable seats and all seats give a nice view.
Woo Young Kim
Visited for a jyp concert. The venue is neat and elegant. All the ushers and services were kind and concession options were decent. I like the design and vibe of the place which is retro but classic at the same time. Seats were nice with cup holders placed conveniently placed out of the way at the bottom between the chairs. Great experience!
Angel Zapata
Venue is absolutely incredible, the staff are cool people and aren’t rude, and security was great! Went here for a 4 Day Call of Duty Tournament and it was incredibly fun! Would come here again for sure!
Don Manuel Presents
Me and my wife were transferred from the streets of Brooklyn NY to what can only be described as the Titanic on land. The decor was just amazing and was the perfect venue to see my role model Will Smith with BK own Spike Lee. It set the mood for a night we will remember for years to come. Definitely catch a show there you won't regret it.
Bryce McCracken
This venue is INCREDIBLE. I attended a 4 day long esports tournament here and when I saw the venue I wasn’t sure it would be able to handle it. I was thankfully very wrong! Staff were all super friendly and helped make the environment feel both welcoming and safe. Not sure if I’ll ever get a chance to come back here, but I highly recommend it!
Irene Eng
A lovely live performance venue that seat 3,000. It was first opened in 1929 and operated by Loew's till 1977 when it closed. The last film there was Bruce Lee: The Man, The Myth 李小龍傳奇/李小龙传奇 that was released in Hong Kong in 1976.
After a few years restoration, it reopened in 2015. The interior is pretty and grand, which is 1929 appearance, but the stage is modernized.
Parking isn't easy. We gambled in a private lot behind the theater - can't find pay meter after parked. It was ok for us, luckily.
Valerie Shannon
Saw Fantasia and Tamar Braxton. Such an amazing show. They do need better organization for crowd control once the show is over.
Stephen “Emeli Business Consulting” Emeli
I had a great time enjoying the Father's Day comedy show hosted by Earthquake. 2022. Beautiful location with ornate detail. The venue was very spacious and organized.
Ashllyn Silva
Beautiful theatre. Old but decently taken cared of. They always have plenty of staff on hand to help guide guests. Seats are small and there isn’t much spacing between rows but no major complaints.
David Cunningham
This place is very spacious, and beautiful! They serve alcohol and snacks which is nice. It's a sit down venue and It is designed so everyone can see the stage. Sound quality for the rock concert (Pavement) I went to was good but not the best ... I was in upper floor section 10 and it was boomy a bit ... If I were to go back I would try to find seats on the lower floor or center upper floor, but unfortunately in my case ticket prices were too high. Visually it was clear to see the band on stage, no big heads ( or hair hehe) to impede the view since the seats go up. Parking is sparse, closest garage is a 10-15 min walk. Overall a great enjoyable experience seeing one of my favorite bands..
Kyla C.
Elegant theatre in the heart of Brooklyn. Note: purchase parking before you arrive because there isn’t any around the area. Look on SpotHero. Depending on the show the line could wrap around seven blocks like ours did. So bring water with you while you’re in line. There are bathrooms on the upper and lower floors.
Caitlin Mentz
My husband and I saw the band Pavement last night and it was a great experience. My only gripe was that they served practically all alcohol and I don't drink. Other than that, we had an amazing time at King's Theatre.
LeRone D.
Had the best experience while attending Sesame Street with my son, the staff (Una and Nyqana) were very warm, accommodating and helpful. It’s really nice to see this theatre serving our community after being closed for so long. Great job👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 …
Jeremy Howard
Excellent Theatre! Beautiful! Fantastic view and comfortable seats.
Leda Gorgone
It is exquisite! Beautiful. Done for a king!
The theater is spacious. Drinks are good. Not cheap but taste like they have something inside.
Plenty of clean Bathrooms . Great space!

If you're looking for an unforgettable theatrical experience in Brooklyn, then the King's Theatre is the place to be. From the moment you walk through its majestic doors, you're transported back to a bygone era of opulence and grandeur. The theatre itself is stunningly beautiful, with a lavishly decorated interior that features gilded moldings, elegant chandeliers, and intricate designs on the ceiling. The seating is comfortable, and no matter where you sit, you'll have a great view of the stage.
Kay Montgomery
Great place in the community to check out great talent. The theater bathrooms were clean. The staff was helpful nice and polite. The play was off the hook and worth the visit to BK. It was a safe environment which matters these days. Glad to support the cause. Go see the play!
Christina Anselmo
I attended a tour of the theater. The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and I appreciated how much it also centered on the community. Their love and appreciation of the theater and community was palpable.
The theater itself is breathtaking! I honestly cannot put into words how beautiful it is. Photos don't fully capture its beauty. I can't wait to see a show here!
Nikola Stanchev
Amazing interior inside. Glamorous facade of the building. Watched a live performance and the atmosphere was unique and delightful. Plenty of bars in the lobby and big restrooms. All staff was professional and kind. High recommend that event venue.

This place is beautiful. I remember as a kid walking pass it & it was shuttered & rundown. Then they rehabilitated it & it's gorgeous. I've been here for several different events over the years. I love seeing the nutcracker here.
Jennifer Spinella Kochan
Beautiful, well-kept theatre that feels incredibly intimate. Gorgeous acoustics.
Samantha Avery
I had so much fun at the 4 tops and Temptation concert last night. I don’t usually do reviews but the was so good I had too. Jose in security was so pleasant he got my stubborn mother to let him help her up the stairs. I can't the young lady that was in charge of the premium tickets. That running over the place. Saw my mother couldn't make it to our seat let's sit in the handicap section. The speak easy on the second and snack bar great job on moving the lines. I don't think I can go there with out premium passes again.
Meghan Keeley
Beautiful venue and seats were great even off to side and upper mezzanine. Section 10, row e

Wonderful experience at King's Theatre last nite for the british bands Suede and Manic Street Preachers. The venue is beautiful, very kind and accommodating staff as well. Had an incident after the show in which I left my purse with my 'life in it' behind after leaving! I'd bought merchandise and had a couple extra bags with me, but after leaving realized me purse was not one of them. I went back and spoke with Don in security and explained this to him. He went 'above and beyond' to help me. He called someone to walk me back to where I thought it might be, and several other people to try to track it down...Finally~~it was in the building but not sure where they put it. Such a huge relief, & through much effort I got it back with everything in place. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to the workers and their honesty and to Don for making sure to find it for me before a holiday travel. Very grateful to him and the best security you can imagine!

Visit Date: November 30, 2022
I came here to see Morrissey. I normally try to avoid concerts because they can get pricey but I love the smiths and I love Morrissey and when my friend told me he was playing I said it needed to happen. So I found her and I tickets.
The venue is pretty nice, it looked like it was good viewing from anywhere you sat. The inside was so pretty, an ornate ceiling, ornate walls, it was beautiful. The bathrooms were downstairs.
During the show everyone was standing we snuck off to the front to get a little closer and went back to our seats after. Because everyone stood our viewing was impeded but I think if it was a show mostly everyone sat down for we would have been able to see better.
Security was amazing I don't know if they worked specifically for Morrissey or the venue but a few people jumped on stage to touch him and were immediately removed from the stage. Crazy, crazy people. I am nuts in my own ways too but as much as I love certain performers I wouldn't jump on a stage to touch them. That might not stop me from gushing a little if I got to meet them though.
Parking is tough here luckily I found something a few blocks away but most of the parking in Brooklyn is tough and that's why I don't drive there often but I'd prefer to drive over taking the damn trains.

🤴 kings Theater looks great. it suits 👌 his name
Kings palace …
David Shells Sr.
Wonderful theater with beautiful ornate architecture and great acoustics. Every seat gives a decent view. Concessions are subpar at best for food, drinks are good.

Went there for the first time to see the 85 South Show. The theater is amazing 👏🏽 …
Christina Solazzo
What an amazing theater! It's absolutely gorgeous! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Seats are so comfortable that if your concert starts 1.5 hours later than it should, you can take a good nap! It was relatively easy to find street parking surprisingly! The organ is a sight to behold in person. The seats have cupholders. CUPHOLDERS!!! 😁
Chris Quartly
The most beautiful venue in the city, great place to see a show.
Karen R.
I'm a Brooklyn girl, the Kings theater was home! Beautiful. I can feel the 1900s in my heart. (Or maybe it was the wine talking to me) I cant wait to go back.
M M (IndustrialGrrrl)
Theatre is beatiful inside, large space. Staff was friendly. Street parking for the show I attended was easy due to time of day, metered parking ends at 7pm. Show was great, sound was pretty good, some static. Neighborhood is sketchy but hey its NYC! It is difficult to get to, not easily accessed, I probably would never return because of traffic situation. Mexican place across the street was very good!!
J Liu
Very beautiful and high roof venue. The interior accents is just beautiful. The acoustics there is not bad, good for a concert. The venue has a a very large and accommodating female bathroom.
Minus one star for the lack of leg room, I’m 5’6” and I need to get up every time people pass me.
Simone Yearwood
Beautiful venue for concerts and shows but the entry process needs work. There has to be a better way than the line going down the block and around the corner just to get into security
Johanan Ottensooser
Absolutely beautiful theatre, went to see Stereo Hideout (Brahms v Radiohead) and the atmosphere was awesome! Where else can you bring cocktails into a classical concert!
The hall itself is a wonder, so detailed and intricate! And the lighting is phenomenal. I’d totally choose this as a venue of choice for watching a show I’m interested in.
Josh Coslar
Gorgeous site, phenomenal bar service, excellent parking in the area, Had issues with our ticketed seat listing, but beyond that, stellar.
Halona Mauricio
Went to a sold out concert to see Jazmin Sullivan & Anthony Hamilton. Beautiful venue and the acoustics were pretty good. Bathrooms were clean. Staff were both friendly and professional. Bartender was very helpful with suggestions and friendly. I would definitely go to this venue again.
Mikaela E
This theater is beyond beautiful, what a nice job keeping it well preserved. It’s got a large and spacious entry hall and several of spots to buy refreshments for the show. The only thing I’d say need improvement is the check in/security as we were in line for a loooong time before we got in. Rather have good security for sure, but something seems to be taking longer than normal.
The theater itself is a must experience, no matter the entertainment!
Matt Damon
I like the professionalism when I arrived at the entrance which followed through with security and staff who helped me find my sit.
I wish I had a better I-Phone camera for taking photos during my show.
The musical Alternative Rock "Garbage", performance was a splendid display here at the Kings Theatre. I hope to see them here again very soon.
I will definitely check out other artist who will be performing here.
James King
It was amazing esthetically it was gorgeous and always a luxurious time! So obviously it went over the top when no one other than the fresh prince himself put on a performance! It was amazing to see Will Smith and have so much fun inna historic place!!
Matthew Libber
Very cool venue. Beautifully restored. Comfortable seats with great site lines
Matt Healey
Absolutely gorgeous venue in the heart of Brooklyn. My friends and I had so much fun. It has ample (free) parking around back. They have plenty of bars and amenities. If you want to experience a live show in a beautiful theater, go here.
Em Bash
I absolutely loved this theater. It’s stunning on the inside and it’s bigger than it looks from the outside. The staff was very professional and helpful. The bathrooms were super clean and they had a pretty good food & drink variety at the bar. Will def. be back!
nicole spencer
The old school style theatre, but has the capacity for a larger crowd for concerts. I saw Garbage there and brought my girlfriend for her first concert ever here. We loved it, and the ambiance of the theatre made it that much nicer too.
John Donohue
It was a really beautiful looking theatre, the designs throughout the ceiling and walls had me staring. I saw David Blaine perform here and he put on a great show. The line to enter was long however security was very helpful in getting everyone in. Guiding all of us to be to the appropriate gates and being all around personable. I look forward to my next visit!
John Hague
This venue is hard to understand. It was evidently shuttered in the 1970's, and sat, untouched, like a time capsule, until it was renovated a few years ago.
The interior is incredibly ornate. It has to be experienced.
The sounds was great. Volume was not lacking despite the gentile appearing nature of the venue.
The refreshments were expensive, but offered higher quality drinks than some venues. I bought a Bells Two Hearted Ale, a great beer to find on tap, but paid $14.00 for it.
Erin
Nice but they scam you on the alcohol.
My friends and I were here for a concert and paid close to $100 for a round of drinks for 4 people, expected prices at a venue, however we were all drinking vodka and paying top dollar for Grey Goose or Tito's and the vodka they gave us tasted like bottom shelf. You also don't see what the person serving the drinks is pouring into your glass because they do it behind the bar.
daena brathwaite
It was an awesome experience. Well organized, clean, many concession stands available to meet the needs of the volume of people there. Totally enjoyed my time with Fantasia and Tamar.
Tiffany Morales
The venue is so grand and beautiful. The staff was friendly and the bathrooms were clean. The seats are a little too close together . If someone had to pass you had to get up and lean back.
Ehud Persitz
The venue is beautiful and the show (Thom Yorke) was brilliant. Sound was excellent.
Entrance lines were extremely long so try to arrive a bit earlier.
Alexx Smith
This is a nice place, it's beautiful inside, they have a lot of engraved designs all over the place that adds a classy look and feel, some of the engraved sculptures on the walls and ceilings give me the creeps though, the bathrooms are clean, and the food and souvenirs are pricey, as you would expect, i took my wife, kids and some friends here to watch Paw Patrol, it was great they loved it and we enjoyed ourselves, Kings Theatre is a place that everyone should visit
nycblaster
Theater has great detail. Beautiful lowes theater brought back to life. Saw Heilung there .. truly great evening ✨
JOHNNY NAP
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue. All CLASS. WONDERFUL STAFF! We had a BLAST! minimum security hold-ups... Minimal searches. Metal detectors to prevent weapon infiltration. The inside of Kings Theater is beautiful and CLASSY. I'd recommend attending ANY show here! ...it's absolutely worth Every penny for admission! Looks like we'll be looking for a lot more shows at Kings Theater! We were WAY MORE than satisfied. Way better than expected!! ...not to mention.... KING DIAMOND on STAGE!!! WHAT A SHOW!
I'm so glad to have had the PRIVILEGE of being present at THIS show! Definitely, one of the best METAL shows I've EVER been to!! Up in my top 10 - for sure... Maybe even top 5 or 6!! The KING amazing... Truly a KING of METAL among men...!!
Len Tollerton
Great sound. One of the most beautiful theaters I've ever been in. Large bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!
Adam Watts
Went to see a concert here. The theatre is beautiful and spacious, but like others have mentioned, a pain to get to compared to other venues in the city. There also isn't that many dining options close by for a pre-show meal, unless you're craving fast food. Two beers in the theatre set us back $20.
TFriend
Wow! What a fabulous evening of music! Always a treet to be in Brooklyn for the Gregory Porter show! 2 years in a row coming from California for this show with my son!! #preciousmemories #♥️
Kim Payne
Beautiful .air conditioned .comfortable seating.staff was great.but we had to exit out the emergency way at end of Deon cole show.did not like that. The staircase wasnt Good for high heels i almost killed myself going down the steps.alley was dark....the end.i still dont know why we all had to exit that way.
Zach Remus
The design and atmosphere of this building is unreal. Everything looks so high quality. I saw Dermot Kennedy and the lighting and effects was the best I had ever seen.
Ashley Lindner
This theatre is gorgeous! Like absolutely stunning. The sound system was very loud so just be aware if you have close seats especially on the right or left. I was able to see Amy Lee perfectly from row H. The seats were comfortable and spacious for a theatre. Getting in and buying merchandise was super organized, but leaving was a pain with people pushing to use the restroom. The staff was very friendly. Also they have an abundance of parking in the back which was great. I would definitely go to this theatre again.
Michele
The place itself is beautiful. It was nice to walk into an era when going to see a movie or show was a big deal. The staff there was very organized. My son's school had their graduation there and you know how mobs of parents can be. It was very organized and all went smoothly
Lynn C
Gorgeous theatre, wonderfully restored to its original glory, nice staff, good parking, really good ladies room, overall I had a great time at the event I attended there.
Yislen DeLuna
STUNNING! What a beautiful historic place, felt like we were transported in time. Went came to see John Prine and were very impressed with look and sound of this venue. Hope to see many more shows here.
Sharon Ali
All seats are good seats. It's not very big and the decor makes you feel like you're in a royal palace. The seats are comfortable, restroom clean, attendants are courteous. The place is beautiful.
Darlene Armstead
Omg the Temptations & The Four Tops Were AMAZING!!! I had never been to the King's Theater & it is BEAUTIFUL!! It was date night for my husband & I and we both had a WONDERFUL time!!
Aissa Piquion
Great space, the staff is so friendly. I was there for the MGMT concert, not the best spot for a concert, we were so far, it made it harder to get in the mood but still a great spot. I recommend!
K J
A very classy and sophisticated Theatre in the heart of Brooklyn. This Theatre is beautifully designed, the seats are clean and comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and fresh and the staff is polite, helpful and pleasant. Surprisingly, it was easy for us to find parking outside, instead of the Theatre's shared parking lot.
Wade Guenther
Absolutely stunning looking theater. The size is comparable to Radio City Music Hall. The sight lines are great and the sound is good for concerts. The bar service is also excellent with one large service area outside the seating area and they put popup service areas on the floor for concerts.
Mike Hall
Beautiful venue with some wonderful traditional decor.
A draft 660ml beer costs $15 each
Fully seated venue.
Joe Levasseur
FUN place to see a concert. Beautifully restored gilded interior makes it feel special. Good beer.
Lucas “Webpersona” Jones
This is the most amazing, elaborate, pristine, beautiful theater I have been to in the United States. They ceiling is immense creating a cavernous space for the sound of the performance to dissipate into. The balcony lookef to be huge although I didn't explore that space I think show from up there would be pretty great.
Justin Stevens
This is a stunning theater. The work that went into restoration and the overall experience is fantastic. The staff a super friendly and know the layout well if you get lost looking for your seat or a beer. The prices are reasonable for the city at the concession stand too. 10/10 would see any show/concert or film here again.
Schiavi Parker
Nice clean theater. Staff was nice. the restrooms were very clean as well. Drinks are a little pricey but the bartender was also very generous. There is free parking above a grocery store on the corner which was very convenient.
Erin Lee
Beautiful old theatre with gorgeous detailing. Be prepared to arrive with plenty of time before your event as there are metal detectors and bag screening that take time to get through. Wish that there was a wider variety of affordable events here but all the hosted events are quite expensive.
Amy Rosina
What an amazingly beautiful venue. Sound and lighting were great for our show, and the staff members we dealt with were friendly and helpful.
Cee Cee
Beautiful architecture! Worth a visit even if it’s just to see that. Spacious/lots of seating. Was glad to see that they have a security/ screening process upon entry. Seemed to be pretty thorough.
Curtis White
I was there for a concert but the theater was the show . Built and restored from the "Guilded Age" it has been maintained it pristine form . Remarkable .
Tracie Boyle
This place is beautiful! I went to see Evanescence in November and I don't think that I've had a better concert going experience in a really long time! There was plenty of room to move around and I never felt claustrophobic (like I do at most concert venues). There were tons of smaller bars to serve everyone and they had a nice selection to choose from. We sat in the balcony and I was surprised at how good the seats were. And the parking was fantastic! There's a huge lot around the back of the theatre (shopping center) that has plenty of parking and it's only a short walk to the venue.
Pete Avampato
Beautiful venue, hosts hell of a show. Fantastic service
Ana Alvarez
First time here. It was a small theater but it's great. Saw Evanescence here last Friday. Restrooms are clean, staff were nice and helpful. Seats are kind of cramped but I enjoyed my time here.
Danny Rodriguez
Area around theater unsafe. Reported shootings common in that area.
15 minute walk from subway B/Q (B weekdays only)

I saw a DOOOOOOPE concert last night The 3 Stripes Tour with Bell But Devoe, SWV, and En Vogue. SWV had the place SO LIT👌 as they were the show openers. Terry from En Vogue got the hall up on our feet as she gave powerful performance with 'Hold On To your Love' and might I add that the Ladies Look GOOD! Healthy and Fit💪💚💚💚💚 Bell Big Devoe rocked us with some of their old school classics. But THEE MOST DISAPPOINTING thing was the sound quality. It was HORRIBLE. Kings Theatre is huge hollow space and with the amount of money folks pay for tickets, THEY MUST INVEST IN A CRISP SOUND SYSTEM. It was extremely hard to hear the artists and the music also didn't sound in sync because the natural acoustics in the space it caused a bit of echoing. Because of this one factor, I'm not in a rush to go back to Kings Theatre 😥😬
Nellie Phillips
Love it there. I have been a few times. I wish they had pre-planned shuttle service to and from the train. Not the $2 Vans they aren't direct.
Jen Lagasse
Not only is this venue breathtakingly beautiful and full of history, the acoustics are amazing and the layout is such that there are no bad seats or obstructed views. It can be helpful to arrive a little early as security can get a bit backed up.
Kiana
Went here to see Tori Kelly live. Address kinda of hard to find via Google Maps and takes you a block over. Love the aesthetics and audio here. The staff was very hospitable and had coat check. The lines ran smoothly. Not too fond of the placement for merchandise to be sold.
Hector Santiago
This is probably one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever been inside of. Went there for the Joe Rogan show a couple weeks ago and as soon as I walked in, the history of place was right in front of my face. This is definitely not a modern looking thearter with the way the lobby looked. Everything beautifully preserved like it was still in the 1940s.
My jaw dropped to the ground as soon as I walked inside the performance area. The high ceilings, the walls, the seating area: BEAUTIFUL. The seats themselves were close to the stage where I could see what kid of shirts the comics were wearing on stage. I just sat back and just took in all of the work that was done to make those walls and ceiling look like that.
Damm shame I didnt have my phone to take pictures inside of the theater. I would love to go back there in the future for another event. BTW, it's a 10 minute walk from the Q Train so transportation is not that bad to get to.
Shawn Martinez
Beautiful theater and every seat is fantastic!
Michael Nienaber
The refurbed Kings Theatre is amazing. Such an epic venue, with great sound and loads of refreshment stands so queues are never long. Getting to and from the venue is hard though so plan ahead
Michele Sabia
Great old venue! Clean organized and wonderful acoustics. Highly recommend seeing a concert here!!
Rudolph Caines
The staff is super friendly. Management is very accommodating. Security is very helpful.
Javier Kohen
Beautiful building, it's really gorgeous. The staff was attentive. The admittance and exit felt disorganized and slow.
Kirill Igusev
Visited Kings Theater for the first time to see Tom Yorke love performance, great place for such an artist, LOVE IT!🔥🤟🏻😌

Amazing beautiful theatre with very very nice staff and the place is spotless. Could literally eat off the floor if needed lol. Went there for a cod event and the cod league couldn't have chosen a better place in Brooklyn. Whatever you're into and you find the place you'd be attending to kings theatre don't second guess yourself just go!
arimi smith
Beautiful, well constructed architecture! The seats were comfortable and clean. I
Absolutely loved this theater.
D L
Wonderful theatre abit cold in temperature but still enjoyed the show. Will definitely go back for another show
Dionne James
The renovations are amazing. close to home good feeling not have to go all the way into the city to see your show now. The ushers need 2 know the theater better so they can help people today see them quicker
Samantha Sigelakis-Minski
Saw Death Cab for Cutie here last week. Gorgeous building, awesome acoustics, and local beer served. I just wish it was a little closer to, well, anything.
Bronwyn White
Amazing theatre beautifully restored. A real surprise. A treat if you can get here.
Glynn Berry
Went to see the Beastie Boys story and the show was great but it was also the first time visiting the theater. Kings Theatre was recently renovated and reopened in the Flatbush area of Brooklyn. I can remember it being closed for years and then all of sudden it was open again. The Theatre is very nice. I was amazed at how good it looked. It says 'I am a Theatre and you should watch shows here all the time'. The first time is a charm for this place.
AB
Exceptionally beautiful former movie palace! I had a visitors tour there and it was a pure pleasure for my eyes and soul!
Patrick Egan
Beautiful theater, was there for an awards night for my son. Clean and very professionally run by staff
Ramzi Osta
Great venue to see a show. And lots of good shows come here!
Parris Jonstone-Edwards
I attended this theatre for a boxing match , A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE...nice employees, beautiful atmosphere, the renovations done were excellent. I will attend here as much as possible...
Nicole Stack
Hands down, the most beautiful theatre I have ever been to.
Jason Hart
Great Venue to see any show.
Staff are polite and accommodating.
Lillian Collins
Everything was beautiful. I had a lovely time and will return again.
Scott Erichson
I was allowed to dance in the aisle for the whole concert, so that's a plus for the staff. Beautiful venue. It felt spacious.
Stefon Bristol
I really appreciate King’s Theatre for allowing Little Caribbean to show my film, SEE YOU YESTERDAY. They seem to want to have a great relationship with local artists.
James Garner
Amazing set up for a smaller theatre and Brand New really brought the house down. Amazing and unforgettable experience.
Brian Anscomb
Amazing theater for live performances! Beautiful and full of amazing details and historical significance!
Douglas Ennis
A beautiful venue a classic from a bygone era
A. Rupinskee
Stunning, most beautiful theatre I've ever been in. The large beer is very large
Reggie Seel
Wonderful theater. However I am not completely satisfied with the supposed vip status that I'd paid the extra $50 per head.
Olga Rice
Beautiful place just reopened after almost 4 decades being closed. Small only 3000 seats, cozy, all in gold like old times 😊 …
tara andrews
The New Jack City play was amazing 👏 😍 🙌 …
Ethan Fixell
Came here to see and photograph King Diamond and had an incredible experience. Fantastic sound, beautiful space, excellent views. A++
Tristan del Castillo
The theatre is absolutely breathtaking. The views & atmosphere are incredible. The staff is delightful. This is definitely one of my top theatres in New York.
Wacky Jackie
What an amazing and beautiful venue. Went to see Griz perform and it was a wonderful experience. The seating is spacious, the restrooms are clean and the vendors are kind and efficient. Definitely going back to this place. Great place for a show
Blake Wolf
Beautiful, historic venue. Staff is so helpful, ambience is classy but cool. Been twice and the place has a great energy to enhance any show.
Marcel Perez
Easily the most gorgeous theater I've ever been in. The staff is unbelievably on point and efficient. Zero issues and I can't wait to go again.
wendy crispell
This is one of if not the most beautiful theatre I have ever seen. One of the Lowes Wonder theatres along with one in upper Manhattan and Jersey city. Catch a happy hour tour or concert and be blown away!
Charyse Dee
The theater is a good size. Not as big as Madison Square Garden but a nice size. Clean bathroom. They have a sears around the corner, which isn't open, so you can use that parking lot to park which was excellent because parking on the street was very hard.
Corey Bartholomew
The acoustic was great seating little tight but it was fine.
ifaa amit
The place is well maintained, clean. The theatre itself got sticky floors, should offer much more benches and sitting areas for guests, and the bar selection is quite basic, there’s room for improvement, also regarding snacks.
Some employees should correct their attitude, but one shouldn’t ruin it for the rest which were very nice.
Jeffrey Diamond
What is there to say, this place is amazing. Get there early so you can explore a bit inside. This is what theaters used to be, sad that most are gone.
They just added a outside courtyard right next door so you can get some pre show snacks. This is a good thing because food in the area is limited.
Devonta White
HUGE venue with the most amazing architecture & decor in Brooklyn.
Highly recommended venue to visit and experience the history.
Dave Guerard
What an awesome venue!!! Evanesence and the orchestra sounded so crisp. The architecture is absolutely gorgeous!!!
John DiP
A great looking theater with great hosts to make you feel welcome. Theater does not have their own parking lot.
Chandra Bulucon
Holy crapasaurus was this show so much louder than I was expecting at this theatre. Beautiful place, though. Really stunning. And all the staff were super, super nice (except one), but they were all really lovely. Saw Thom Yorke... SO LOUD.
juanluis quiros
Great venue! Just half hour away from Manhattan but was good and security personal was soo kindly
Benswing Rich (Ben Rich - Electric Biker)
Stunningly beautiful theater! Truly a gem of Brooklyn.
seth mclain
What a amazing venue! The in side just took you back in time very clean. Very nice friendly staff.
Debra Doughty
It was very nice the entertainers were very good I really enjoyed the show
cheryl white
Great time.....It was beautiful inside, staff were polite and helpful.
warren hubert
An exquisite theatre, with splendid decor, makes you feel affluent. Comfortable seating.
Vadriel Theelf
Beautiful venmlm with a reasonable level of security. Amazing this opulent place sat empty for over 30 years. Would absolute.ly reccomemd any event or performance at Kings Theater!
Yanek Che
First time been at Kings. Beautiful done restoration and welcoming stuff.
Karen Gardner
Love the architectural renovation of this place! It is absolutely beautiful. The staff are helpful. The place is neat and clean. The food and drinks are overpriced. 5 dollars for a bottled water? Ridiculous!
Jonathan Massot
Beautiful theater. Nice staff, pricey alcool, clean bathroom, confortable seats, I enjoyed every minute of the spectacle.
Maria D
Everything was great until they gave my Mother's Walker to someone else! Unacceptable!
Caroline Bergmann
A beautiful nostalgic theatre in the midst of Brooklyn. Nice small details everywhere, a royal feeling still
Isaac Wasie
Beautiful, comfortable seats, incredible craftsmanship in the building loved it!!
Myrna Rodriguez
Beautiful theatre. Can't wait to return :)
Geoff Shively
Beautiful place with some great hidden local food spots around the corner.
Andrew Rhoads
Awesome, historic venue. Totally worth seeing a show there at least once to experience the theater. Also interesting to learn the history behind it
FF Guy2012
On the plus side, the venue is beautiful, clean and seats are very comfortable.
On the down side, ushers do not keep aisles clear, and allow people to congregate in aisles. I booked a seat with no one in front of me so i didn't have to stand the entire concert, but the ushers did nothing about the people who bought cheap tickets and came down and stood in front.
Zeshan Khan
Attended this beautiful theatre for a curated bass event this past weekend. Definitely the best venue I’ve ever patronized. Inside, the architecture was extremely intricate and ornate. The juxtaposition of going to an electronic music concert at a swanky theatre with lots of history was a constant thought throughout my experience. Highly recommend the King’s Theatre for any type of event as a staple of Brooklyn’s culture.
Mark Blinder
Must visit, spectacular concert hall. Wish it was closer to a train station.
Lisa Coleman
Beautiful restoration! Seats were comfortable and large enough for plenty of people to walk around in the lobby area.
Rebecca Velic
I am so thankful that Kings Theatre was restored to its original brilliance because it is stunning! I hope that more of my favorite artists do shows there because it's great.
Jason Heiser
Great sound- saw Tenacious D here and it was awesome. Super fancy looking once you get inside, like it was taken from a classier time.
meeka Will
It was me and my woman 1st time at one of Tyler Perry plays...It was amazing and we really enjoyed our self🥰 Tyler Perry really out did his self We really enjoyed ourselves...Thank you and We love u😘 …
Wayne King
I love the Theatre, it's beautiful and historic.
Jess (Jess)
Lovely theater, had a great experience. I was a few rows from the stage and I got to see one of my favorite bands.
Nahla Dickerson
Beautiful venue!! Was a pleasure.
Lynn Comtois
Absolutely gorgeous theater! Wonderful venue to see a show.
B M
Fantastic historic tour must be done .
Leo (Tech & Lifestyle)
Good place rooted in the old tradition of theater going. Bring a family. Watch Nutcracker. Get a bear or a soda and popcorn. Lots of bathrooms. Comfortable seating.
Katie
I have never been here but I wanted to leave a review for the Director of the Box Office, Daniel Harris. He helped me resolve an issue I was having very calmly and quickly. This was greatly appreciated, and I hope to be able to see a show here in the future!
Danielle Carman
Beautiful place to see a show
Andrew
Cool big space. Staff is super friendly and drinks were nice and strong. Obviously expensive but a couple drinks got me where I was going
Chad Rabinowitz
Beautifully restored venue.. saw the yeah yeah yeah, great acoustics even from up in the balcony
James McAuliffe
Beautiful venue, nice sound and a nice balance of seating and intimacy. If you're near the area or a favorite band comes to town, a good venue to see them play.
Grace Hung
Went for Hillsong's colour conference. The Venue is beautiful and the stage can be seen clearly from the balcony. Bathroom is big on B1 level.
Lyndon Duong
Great atmosphere. Came here for a comedy show and was surprised at how nice the venue was.
Reyna Lewis
Really nice theater. Very ornate, but still in really good condition compared to other theaters of It's age.
Sean Park
Great venue, great folks, many different bars available!
Everton T
A very nice theatre interior but the line to get inside the Nutcracker event stretched way around the block and it took about 20-30 minutes to get inside and go through security.
Kelly M. Mueller
Very cool theater! I can’t wait to go back
K moore
The inside was very nice and clean. I also enjoyed the Majah Hype show very much!
Riker MV
Absolutely beautiful theater. I really enjoyed the show. The layout is convenient and there are bars everywhere so you do wait that long to get a drink.
James Bryant
Spectacular entertainment, seating was comfortable, great acoustics, sound system, corteous, organized staff, cleanliness, pleanty of beverage stations, great overall atmosphere and well behaved crowd.
Jon (JSR)
Came here for the ITZY concert. The staff were super nice and handled everything smoothly. The venue is beautiful and huge!
Kathryn
Beautiful venue but very difficult to get to by train, and still quite a walk. Gorgeous theater detail is worth the trip!
D
One of the best remodeled theaters I've ever seen. Beautiful and free parking.
Louis VII S
Beautiful theater with pretty good acoustics and a friendly staff.
Doralee Bohner
Beautiful venue but very expensive drinks and eats.
Deborah Griffin
Comfortable seating, unobstructed views, ornate decor
Sandra Dee Wallace
They have great staff. I do wish they would revamp a bit 😕 😔 it's the same since I was growing up. Besides that they have some awesome shows. …
Regina Jordan
The place is magnificent and gorgeous 😍
My admiration to the architects …
Samara Riviera
Wonderful. Got to see Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio and it was amazing. Gorgeous classic theater. Looks beautiful inside
Co-Pastora Millie Alverio
Amazing I went to see Madea with my BFF
Elaine
We were there last night to see Stacey Abrams (she's fabulous!). The theatre is beautiful, but the audio was off - we had trouble hearing Laura Brown, who was interviewing her (and we were in the 8th row). Also, there was no announcement to remind folks to turn their phones off (they rang constantly), or to keep masks on when not eating or drinking.
Krzysztof Kabata
One of the most beautiful places in Brooklyn to see a concert . Drink prices were fair
Brian Farnham
Incredible venue — the theater is so beautiful it’s worth seeing almost any show here just to experience it.
Kelsey Brow
A beautiful venue for live podcasts and concerts! A big space so I was able to get right up front in the pit! Seems like they bring in a wide variety of acts- so there’s something for everybody to enjoy in this gorgeous historic location! Staff is super friendly and helpful! Even at security everyone is really nice! (Plus pretzels are pretty darn tasty and drinks are not crazy expensive) Lots of toilets on lower level!!
L. Baker
It was delightful. The theater is well maintained with clean neat seating in the theater. Bathrooms was updated and clean. My first time there and I will go back. Especially if I can see Gladys Knight again. She was Charming personable and her singing was spectacular as usual.
Alberta Gabriel
This theatre is gorgeous, great lighting and comfortable seating. Ushers were attentive and courteous.
Jer Emy
Beautiful theater. Well maintained. Even though I sat in the balcony it was a great seat.
Felicia Legge
I walked into the theater, looking for the king,
but I only found gods just waiting to bring
a healing session to our ears
a beautiful expression
it brought me to tears
As elegant as the stars
out-of-this-world like Mars
an experience I'll never forget
an appearance that'll never fret
surround sound
astound was found
heart, mind, body, and soul
art, kind, embody as whole
throwing down the sickest track
I'll definitely be coming back
Alejandro
I've been going to concerts since 2008 and this venue is without a doubt one of, if not the classiest one I've ever been to. Besides how amazing it looks, the ushers were incredibly kind, courteous, and generally just very easygoing. As long as this venue keeps holding metal shows, I'll keep going.
RODNEY SANDERSON
First time there since the renovations. I remember it being a run down movie theater and then closing for a number of years. It is beautiful and definitely worth a visit. The design and ornaments are incredible. The stage setting and surroundings were well planned and designed to look like theaters of old times. I was truly impressed. Go see for yourself the wonderful gem in the middle of Flatbush ave.
Joanna O
The theater is really beautiful. The neighborhood is OK but I'd be careful there particularly at night. The sound is good and the stage is well-done. There appeared to have been a hiccup at our performance and they didn't start letting people in until late - and apparently no cutoff, as they were still letting people get seated 40-45 minutes into the performance, which was a bit distracting. But again, the venue overall is pretty good.
Zara Choudhary
Grand theater, you feel as you stepped back in time. Never knew something so magical was right here in Brooklyn
Phillip Kwong
This building has amazing architecture, you will find that it has been lovingly restored to it's original grandeur! The staff inside are very nice, and even the security guards were nice when inspecting my bags. Heck, I wanted more bags inspected, that's how nice they were!
Lana
Beautiful theater. I’ve been there twice so far for ballet performances. The ceiling, walls and stage are uniquely decorated. However, it’s time for upgrade for this theater- seating should be upgraded to newer ones as well as carpeting. Also, it would be nice if bathrooms were cleaned and refilled promptly.
Simon Evans
Amazing venue purely for the aesthetics. Drinks are crazy expensive but the sound and stage are really worth it.
원정연
Good!
J Steed
Attended "the art of rap" and it was a great show and the venue was great
Charles Cordova
Beautifully restored
Acoustically awesome
Go and experience the venue as it was meant to be
Tina Rho
Gorgeous venue though for the concert they had a hard time processing the line of people.
Jenna Cardinale
This is an astoundingly beautiful concert hall. Ornate details abound in this mid-sized space. There were no sound issues and the seats are comfortable. The security and staff are friendly and helpful.
As mentioned in other reviews, the doors don't open on time and a long line forms before the show starts. I attended an event with assigned seating, so I just had a drink at a lounge around the corner instead of waiting outside the theater and was still seated prior to the start of the show.
A great experience, even from the balcony!
Kevin Eng
Recently renovated. This place is like royalty, the ceilings are decorated and the sound system is amazing. It was great having my HS graduation here. The staff were attentive and the place was quite clean. I would love to have some accent lighting in the seating rows.
Kevin Klimovich
Beautiful venue, great views from every seat, and even the security staff is courteous and respectful. they have a full bar and decent food but bring lots of money if you plan to eat or drink. Sound system is good and the theater itself is a work of art. We thoroughly enjoyed the concert we saw and plan to see more shows here.
Drew Van Slyke
I saw Fantasia here. It was a beautiful venue.
Rachel Levy
Love this theatre. So happy it's here in Brooklyn. Nice upscale theatre. Has a few bars scattered around so drinks can be enjoyed throughout the show. The bathrooms were nice and clan but expect to wait for the ladies room at intermission. I recall popcorn but not sure about other food as I didn't eat when I was there. They have a very good lineup of Black entertainment. Pick your show and go!
Richard Bappoo
Beautiful theater, extremely nice staff. Overall a great experience.
Francisco Gomez
Great theater. We're coming back real soon.
Marlon Clarke
Great event space in the heart of Brooklyn. Drinks aren't overpriced either. 👌🏾 …
Conrad Rochester
Beautiful had a great time with family.
Kaylin Massar
Such a unique concert venue. Very clean and very great security and staff
Jason Mullens
Such a great iconic venue. Came here to see Dermot Kennedy on 10/22. Acoustics are amazing, décor is so dated & spectacular, the venue was very clean for how many people were attending this place. It's an easy walk from any Flatbush Station. The drinks were definitely worth the price, quite potent. Definitely recommend this place to see a show at least once in your life, & any time you can make the trip or take the time.
Marc Klein
Really good job bringing it back to its former glory
Jake Jung
Unbelievably gorgeous. This place has been restored to an absolutely pristine state and it’s an incredible place to see a concert. Totally gorgeous lobby and the seating and views and sound are all incredible.
Even the ceiling is insane. Feels like it’s all made of gold. And don’t even get me started on the bathrooms. Smells like an Abercrombie and Fitch outlet.
Bashy Thompson
I went there for a comedy show which was awesome, phenomenal, spectacular. ALL the comedians were great. Seating was good, I could see from where I was at. The drinks however were very expensive to me, $16 for a cup of drink the bartender made FILLED with ice. Popcorn sold for $5 seemed as though it was made since before Christ was born 🤦🏾♀️, hard to chew and salty. The theater was spacious from my section, lots of bathroom to accommodate the amount of people. I only went to the lower level, don't know about the balcony view etc.
Willie CM
Great place. The architecture, acoustic and staff are amazing.
Elana Bernstein
Despite being a Brooklyn native, this was my first time at Kings Theatre (and the best concert I've been to yet!) The theatre itself is BEAUTIFUL, I was in awe as soon as I walked in. Definitely not what I was expecting on Flatbush Avenue. I went to the show alone and during intermission, a super kind staff member came over, asked if I was alone, and upgraded my seat at no cost! I ended up in the first row next to the stage, turning a great show into an amazing one. I can't wait for the next show here 🎟
Johnny Hodlz
The architecture is truly something special! This theater feels amazing to walk into, you feel like you are stepping into the past. The staff here are all so friendly and helpful, eager to assist, especially security! Great experience for me and my family, we will be back for future events !
Billy T
What a beautiful theater! When I walked in the vestibule I was God-smacked by the exquisite architecture. As I was there for work (filming a television series), I didn't have much opportunity to take a tour. But I will say this: the dressing rooms are clean, comfy and spacious! I will definitely have to go back there for a concert someday soon.
Solace T
Beautiful!!
Years ago I used to pass this location and thought it was a shame that it had fallen into disrepair.
Since the restoration I've been there twice. Oh my! I was totally awed my the beauty of this theater after it got restored.
As a performance location, the seating is pretty good. You should have a good view no matter where you sit.
Mishka R.
The place is gorgeous. Entrance line moves fast. Crazy door policy to prohibit even sealed plastic water bottles (greed?) Seats are comfy and wide enough to fit a chubby guy/gal. Orchestra angle is too flat to see over crazy hair or a hat even two rows ahead.
Kent Field
Went last night to see Experience Hendrix. I didn't know what to expect as far as the neighborhood or venue was concerned.... IT WAS GREAT! There was plenty of parking. The parking lot in back of the theatre was well lit, and there were theatre security staff greeting visitors and making sure our vehicles were safe. Every single one of the theatre staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. What a pleasure!
And the theatre is absolutely beautiful inside, as well as clean, and very well organized. I would recommend this venue to anyone!
And by the way... the Experience Hendrix Show was awesome... and that's coming from somone who has been playing the guitar for over 53 years!
Ethan Gooding
The space was beautiful, sound was on point, food/drinks were solid, seating was well set up, and service was great. I saw a live performance of an RPG podcast (The Adventure Zone), and even though Kings Theatre is primarily a music hall, this show really came together here. They really know how to create an atmosphere that caters to the performers and their audience.
Gucci
Beautiful on the inside. Renovations were very detailed and the wow factor is there. A little disappointed that there’s no popcorn machine. Popcorn was already in box. No machine in sight. Also bathrooms were downstairs. Not convenient for elderly with walkers or cane. We managed perfectly fine. Other than that it’s a great place to see a show.
Aaron Burns
I visited the theatre from Ireland. I'm giving five stars because firstly, the theatre is incredibly beautiful, and secondly, the staff went above and beyond to deliver service that I did not expect for such a large event. They really were very helpful and polite. Drinks are expensive but that's to be expected. I had a great time and would love to return.
Chris Farling
A marvelous restoration, ornate touches everywhere. Sound is good and the seats are relatively roomy. Their door policy is insane though—they always end up with a line of all the concertgoers going way around the block and then it takes forever to get in and they start the show before people are seated who were waiting well before the start time.
Why they wouldn’t be able to just start seating earlier is a mystery.
Julia Rubio
Great theater! Stunning architecture and great view of the stage from everywhere you are. 5 Julitas.
Allen Lyons
Absolutely gorgeous theater. I saw My Brother, My Brother, and Me live show here and it was fantastic. The show also featured surprise guest Lin-Manuel Miranda (obviously the theater was not responsible for the surprise guest, but it was still really cool)
Denise Perez
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
nick wargo
Probably not the best area but stunningly beautiful theatre and the people working there (mainly the ushers) we're great. I went there for a boxing event and although it's not optimal to have the ring on one side and everyone on the other, we could all see the action and the seats were comfortable. I would recommend going to this theatre even if only in the daytime just to marvel at the interior design.
Doug Alexander
Beautiful venue. And who's cooler than the Beastie boys?
ximena trujillo
Went to see my favorite modern artist, St Vincent. This venue is breathtaking, my jaw dropped and my head swung back when I walked in here. I couldn't stop staring directly up because the architecture is incredible! Drinks were good and not as overpriced as I thought they'd be. Of course, Annie Clark put on a spectacular performance as well 🤓🤩
Andy Buck
Classic movie palace converted to a live music venue. Stunning old world details have been restored to their original 1929 appearance throughout the building. It's a bit cavernous, so the acoustics leave a bit to be desired for loud acts, but the overall experience is top notch.
Cade Sadler
Sooo beautiful - the lobby looks like the ballroom of the Titanic. Drinks are very expensive though
Matt Sanders
Beautifully restored theatre with comfortable seating. I've been to three or four concerts here, however, and the sound is a mess. Completely lacking in definition. I hope they pay some attention to the sound issues and work with an expert to improve the experience. If the listening experience were to improve, I would make this a five-star review.
Janet Reese
The Ladies Of Comedy show was soooo funny and wonderful even with a blackout the flow in the Theatre was amazing and good. The place is well cared for and the staff was helpful and courteous to everyone. Every time I have attended a show there it has been amazing , relaxing, and enjoyable. Thank you!
I Be Gabby
Very classic looking theatre with comfortable seats no matter where you are.
Bryce McDonnell
Amazingly restored. We saw Ben Folds here on his paper airplane tour. It was a good show. The craftsmanship details in the ceiling and wallhangings aren't seen in many buildings anymore. The acoustics are very good as well. I'll definitely see more shows here.
S. Sealy
Beautiful architectural details
Cameron “Camo” Taylor
Beautiful venue. An absolute must-do for ANYONE concerned with music, art, architecture, etc. It's unbelievably stunning.
Michael Ring
I was lucky enough to have my training class for my pull worker job there
Alan Miguel
Beautifully rehabbed classic theater is just gorgeous. It’s all seated but apparently they will make a pit on occasion. Reponed in recently it’s a good spot for chiller bands or speakers. Not 5 stars since they don’t book top quality too often, but when you see something you like, go for it. A little pricey for tickets too.
Susan Torsilieri
Beautiful theatre. The staff was very helpful and courteous. They have bars everywhere you look so no lines and the pretzels and popcorn are an added bonus. The ladies room downstairs is HUGE so no lines there either, and should you have to go during the show, there is a screen outside the ladies room (next to the bar) and the music is piped into the ladies room itself. They have even thought to add cup holders to the backs of the seats. The acoustics were great! The building itself is gorgeous. I would go back there in a heartbeat. (Also, another reviewer mentioned there is only one downstairs bathroom-not true-one upstairs as well.)
Juan Guzman
Bunbury concert. Great venue
Robert Freeman
Great beautiful old theater restoringly kept to its authenticity in regards to its interior and exterior architectural integrity and purpose. Awesome place to see a concert or show. You don't see theatres like this anymore. Much respect to the owner operators for keeping this place around and at a high standard for a deserving public
Kate Kosche
GORGEOUS theater, excellent seats, very good acoustics and sight lines. They really did an amazing job on this restoration, and the place is beautiful, but also really functional as well. Went to John Prine concert which was great! Expensive drinks, but that's to be expected. Now if they would just book some more concerts that I am interested in attending...
Nadine L
Theater is absolutely beautiful inside. The staff were great and kept things moving. The sound wasn't impressive, which I was surprised and disappointed about, but I was on the balcony so maybe there's better sound on the floor. The bathroom situation was awful. The lines were absurdly song because each bathroom has only two stalls.
Ivan Melendez
A very beautiful classic theater. Refreshments are a bit pricey but good enough during the shows. The staff are attentive and helpful. The only thing is that doors opened a bit late which caused us attendees to be late and hurrying to the seats while the show started on time
Seana Anderson
The architecture is amazing and the shows top notch.
Karina V
Place is beautiful inside. Drinks are good just a big line to get some. Also be prepared to get into the metal detector and do not take self sticks are not allow just safe you self some time and don’t take it.
Staf was really helpful. Nice place to take some selfies or just pictures over all.
The stage is perfect you can see the performances from every angle.
Mike L
Most beautiful theater in all of NY!! Won tix to a show there and wow..the place is absolutely stunning. You couldn't tell from the outside but once inside it's breathtakingly beautiful everywhere you look. The sound is great. The sight lines are really good. As well as it's easily one of the most comfortable theaters I've ever been in. Comfy seats, lots of leg room and just an overall fantastic place! They did an incredible job renovating this jewel of a theatre to it's original glory!!
Jake Bialas
The theatre is so beautiful inside and out, the restoration did wonders for it. Went recently for a Vulfpeck show and made sure to take my time walking around and checking it out. Plenty of access to restrooms and refreshments, and the sound itself was great. Would love to see another show here.
Daniel Kantorowitz
The theatre is absolutely beautiful. Ornate molding and great seating everywhere. The staff was very polite. Only problem we had was waiting a long time to get inside but they made steps to improve that the 2nd night of the show.
Sam
Beutiful theater with years of history. Great Acoustics, I saw garbage here a few weeks ago.
Jose E. “Pepe” Rivera
Bathrooms are an issue, other than that, great place!
Gene Frey
Beautiful theater with excellent sound and sightlines. The front row of the balcony is my favorite location. Free parking is a bonus.
Philippe Numa, Jr.
The building is immaculate. THE PARKING and TRAFFIC !?!?! Show up early for big events. If you are reading this, you have been saved. I parked so far it caused fiction with my date.....not cool. The venue is gorgeous, but the experience with outdoor assistance could be better.
Garreth Blackwell
Beautiful theater with a fantastic offering of performances and shows. The staff was exceptional and extremely kind and helpful. Depending on the event, some of the policies with cell phones may make for a very slow experience entering or leaving the facility.
Holly Eng
Beautiful theater reminiscent of The United Palace Theater in Manhattan although not as grand and ornate, but still a venue worth checking out for special live events. Attended a Kpop concert there which was a first for the venue and the sound and lights were decent enough for the stage where the performers used practically every inch of it. I was also able to have a good view from various points of the lower level seating which was nice.
Jennifer Manzo
Mixed feelings about this place. I saw Nine Inch Nails here last week and while the show was fantastic, I wasn't thrilled with the venue itself. The arrangement of the seats makes it a little difficult to see if there are tall people in front of you. Staff was generally nice and the bartenders were very friendly, but the ushers were some of the nastiest people I've ever encountered. It's also a bit of a pain to get to by train, but surprisingly parking wasn't bad if you decide to drive.
Sebastián Antúnez
We saw Tenacious D here. The place looks great. The restrooms downstairs are very far away but there are plenty. There was a good selection of beers, the sound was good and the staff was friendly. I’d like to see more shows here. It’s also really close to the subway.
Kate
Absolutely beautiful, stunning theatre. Comfortable seating, and all the seats are fantastic. There's ample concessions. There is also a lot of parking nearby if the public transit options don't work for you. A real gem.
Ayana Mayes
Loved it!!!! I didn't have the best seats so the fact that I could see the stage clearly and perfectly was a definite plus. No one wants a real nose bleed lol. It was very clean and comfy.
Aj Peralta
This is a wonderful venue located in Flatbush, Brooklyn. The renovations took a while to complete but they did a phenomenal job restoring it back to it's former glory. The parking is available but one must come early to be able to secure a spot.
I just wish that there were nice and trendy restaurants close by to hang around at after watching a show.
B R
Beautiful historic theater to see a show.
Cynthia
Sitting was great view was amazing.. the staff was nice
Annalisa Rivera-Franz
Besides the place being a beautiful restoration with seeing, the staffers are incredibly helpful to people with disabilities. I strongly recommend any person with a disability notifying them of your attendance to an event in advance, and they will make sure to accommodate you. I did this, and they were of great help on entry, security check and escorting to seating and bathroom, making our experience a flawless one.
The only downside? Seats at a certain point have cup holders in a position that may make it tough to get around others. For those not using wheelchair seating, I recommend sitting in the front of the theater (where cup holders are down on the floor and to the side).
lauren romao
Regal venue with ornate details from top to bottom tucked in a busy area of Flatbush - do it
Edrian Colina
This place is spectacular. I've been luck enough to go to two shows here since it was renovated and each time it's almost hard to focus on the entertainment when the theater is so spectacular.
The staff is always great and attentive. Acoustics, lighting and sound is always perfect.
Marcello Musumeci
When I was a kid, my dad used to drive me past here on the way to school every morning. It was boarded up at the time, and he'd describe how beautiful it was inside, and tell me what a great time he had there as a kid. He passed away before the renovations started, but I imagine he would have been very pleased to see them. I was fortunate enough to see a show there a few months after it opened, and it is every bit as stunning as he led me to believe. What a beautiful, historic place.
Main Street
Incredible venue. Just saw Bikini Kill there; it was the most intense experience of my life. Huge catharsis.
I was getting overly emotional and seemed upset. A very nice member of the staff, Ernest I think, checked on me and helped me when I really needed a kind voice. The staff were all really great and efficient. Thank you!
John Terelle
This is a GREAT place to see a concert. Beautiful theater! Sound is good. They did this right. Short lines for refreshments because they planned in lots of little concession bars. Really well thought out.
Shawnetta
Very beautiful inside, big restrooms, they serve alcohol
benny pernice
Beautiful venue, but a bit too large for my taste. I don't care for theatre seating as a rule, but in the balcony you really don't feel part of the show. Also the beverage prices are ridiculous, but I guess that's pretty standard for a NYC concert venue.
Heather Waite
Seating was comfortable and not cramped, but the way they allowed ticketholders in leaves something to be desired. We showed up before doors opened and walked for several blocks to reach the end of the entry line. By the time we entered the venue doors, the show had been going on for 20 minutes already. Also, one of the employees asked my partner why they were using a cane. That seemed a little insensitive.
Justin Baez
Beautiful theatre must see. Great show.
Allison McDonough
Absolutely beautiful theater! Longer lines at the few bars than the bathrooms...The only concert venue I’ve ever been to where I didn’t have to wait in line for the bathroom. If your there for a concert and are GA standing your calves are gonna be killing you the day after. Drinks are overpriced (as to be expected) Beer selection is decent....Bluepoint and Victory. Angry orchard cider. They also have an outdoor area with yet more drinking and usually a food option.
Ed Chubin
Nice theater, very clean, but not well run. Despite very cold temperatures, security prevented people from entering by placing scanners right at entrance with no buffer zone and went very slow. People were forced to wait in cold. Security was a joke because the scanner went off huge when I went through, but no one stopped me! Staff allowed people to enter theater after show began and I missed entire sections of the show. Very disappointing experience overall.
Jess Balliet
Wow! I went to the Kings Theatre in. Brooklyn this winter for a Ghost concert. What a gorgeous venue! All the staff wear suits. Even with the line additions the block, entrance was fast when doors opened. The acoustics were phenomenal. I'd see another show here anytime!
Stephanie Ellington
Beautiful building & Awesome staff !! Went to see PJ mask live and my kids and I enjoyed
J Shamlian
Absolutely stunning venue. The renovations are flawless. It was a little strange to watch a live podcast while surrounded by such impressive architecture, but that's not a complaint.
Omar Bashir
Nice architectural art inside. Love the ceiling inside the theater.
Rosemary Williams
The seats are a little small and not a lot of leg room if you're tall which I am. Other than that it's a very beautiful theater. The people that work there are very helpful and polite.
Noah Rosen
A beautifully restored theater that reminds you that it is not just the performance alone that makes the experience. The seating is comfortable, parking available and bathrooms plentiful. A step back to more pleasant times.
April La Barre
Beautiful theatre - stunning on the inside. HOWEVER, the only bathrooms are downstairs-very inconvenient, and it is in a bad neighborhood. If you park behind the theatre, and walk right in, you're fine, but don't venture any further than that. Very shady, and if you're not from the area, people know and single you out. We will not go back.
Lawrence Rubin
Great beautiful venue for show.
Nathan Daugherty
The decor is very ornate and elaborate. Very grandiose theater. Seats are well spaced and I'm 6'2". Sat left side around row 30 and the sound was great. Throw in free parking and this is a win win.
Saurabh Limaye
Beautiful venue! Plenty of concession stands available inside
Jade Bonica
One of the most beautiful venues I've ever been to. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, not to mention efficient! The sound was also amazing, really crisp. Would def go back!
Toni-Ann Runs
Safe, organized and BEAUTIFUL historic venue. Street parking in Flatbush can be a hassle, so arrive early.
Ms.Gnomi Online
A beautiful and historic venue for music, performances and entertainment!
Samantha Snyder
BEAUTIFUL venue. It is a little on the smaller side in the actual theatre part, but my goodness the architecture and art in there is simply breath taking. Great acoustics. Felt very personal because of the smaller size and just the overall design.
Michael K. Tran
One of the most, if not absolutely the most beautiful theaters in all of New York City. Recently remodeled, the sheer attention to architectural details is remarkable.
Extremely friendly and professional staff in all my years of attending concerts, and the acoustics are just stunning.
Dee Gill
First time visiting this event space. The ornate beauty of the theatre makes for great photos; of which I took none lol. They offer popcorn, sausage, various alcoholic drinks and the usual soft drinks The bathroom was clean, but there didn't seem to be many, so the lines get long. Seating is comfortable for most sizes. Finally, exiting the place...can we say thank God there was no fire/stampede. Picture 500 people converging towards an exit that have to bypass vendor stands where other people have now stopped to purchase items. Crowd control could be better. That doesn't take away from the overall experience. Flatbush should be proud!
Mirna Jewels
Beautiful theater with great acoustics!
Trevy Is Famous
Went to see Khalil Kain and the True Groove All-Stars perform. It has a nice historical look to it. The male & female bathroom sharing thing is not a good idea. But aside from the bathrooms the rest of the facility is clean & the staff is very professional.
Leona Nelson
First time..love this place..was there for the Tyler Perry..Madera's Farewell Play Tour..just needs the bathroom on all floors open instead of waiting for the show to start and then they open up other bathrooms for people to come out to use...plus once i walk up the stairs to my sitting area..stop to go to bathroom..there was a long line that starts from the bathroom do back to the front do you come through..we asked about other bathrooms..told you can go back downstairs and can use them..i believe its the basement..you have at least 12- 15 to walk up..no elevators..and charging for a bottle of water $3-$5..and only 1 bathroom open and others don't open up until the show starts.. and once the show started the bathroom line was still long when i did went back and had a long wait..stairs and walking long has to have my cane cause of arthritis throughout my body..but i love the show and it is a beautiful place..Kings Theatre..will return again..will it be okay for me to bring my own 1 bottle of water and pray that more then 1 bathrooms are open..👌👌😍😍
Laisha Etienne
Seats are so tight here. We had to stand up to many times for prople to go back and forth. It is a beautiful historic theater we really enjoyed the show it was food. They have a few concession stands that serve alcoholic and no alcoholic beverages and pretzels.
Matthew R
This is really a spectacular theatre. You don't see architecture like this anymore and I was in awe. I saw Of Monsters and Men here and while I didn't have the greatest seats it seems like anywhere on the lower lever provides a great view and as the theatre isn't huge you feel decently close. Sound was also a high point, the music was loud and clear. It seems like they planned out the renovation well as I didn't see long lines anywhere and had no issues grabbing a beer. Drink and food prices are on the high side, $10 for a 16oz beer isn't horrible but I hear something like $8 for a small bag of pop corn. After the show was over getting out wasn't a problem like it is at some venues and while it isn't the closest to the subways it's not terrible to get to.
Kenneth Reddy
This was an amazing venue to see Evanescence & Amy Lee playing their new #SynthesisTour Concert! I was completely blown away by the architecture and the sound was amazing as well. Looking forward to more of my favorite artists to play here in the near future! 🙂🤘🎤🎸🎹🎶 …
Laurie M
This theatre was absolutely beautiful. Stunning.
I will warn, however, that I took the subway there and walking around the area felt very unsafe to me. I was alone and would surely have felt fine if I was with others, but I should not have gone alone.
Daniel Turin
This theater is awesome. Not a bad seat in the house.
Time To Be Awake
This theater is okay. A least it is clean inside and the women's bathroom was not stinking or filthy. YESSSSSS! My kinda place. . I saw the hip hop nutcracker here on Saturday. It was was a sold out show. The show was okay. I think they could have showed some better hip hop dance moves. I'm not sure I liked the the dancers dancing hip hop to that type of music. It was sure a money maker for this made up holiday called Christmas. The folks sure know how to take this time to reel in thr bucks. When will people wake up to the truth.
Star Thomas
Very beautiful place. Sound and acoustics were great. Excellent staff.
Steve Shamberger
Beautiful theater but two gripes. One, either because of security delays or a late door opening the bulk of the audience was not able to make it into the theater in time for the opening artist's performance. I arrived 15 minutes before showtime and didn't get in for approximately 25 minutes. Second, security made me abandon a tiny pair of scissors that were on my keychain. This hardly seems like a reasonable security policy unless you're also going to make people turn in their keys, belts, shoelaces, metal credit cards and eye glasses. It seems more like an opportunity for security to pocket a nice tool than a genuine concern for people's safety.
Colleen F
Beautiful old theater. I saw the original Star Wars Trilogy there and it was great. The picture and sound were of high quality. The seats are roomy and my friend who is over 6 feet tall had plenty of leg space. The only issue is that the cup holders are at the bottom of the seats near the ground. It's difficult to find them in the dark and way to easy to spill your drink when trying to find them. They are also too large for the plastic cups they serve drinks in. Bottles fit just fine, but that's it.
YNVUS LLC
Had a great time at the theather however it could use some renovations, many patrons had a difficult time getting back and forth to the restroom two levels down no elevator
Carlos
This place is awesome. First of all: the interior is GORGEOUS. The pictures don't do it justice. It's not just the immaculate detailing (everywhere) or the shiny new paint job, but also the feeling of massiveness from the super high ceilings and lack of mezzanine overhang.
But beyond the beauty, this place *functions* better than most theatres I've been to. The sightlines, even from the farthest side seats, are great! The seats are comfy! With cupholders! There's little wait for a drink because there are, like, six bars in the lobby!
Oh, and they book sweet acts too, but you knew that.
Josh Pesin
I spent over 14 hours at this theater as a background actor for a TV production. They wanted to film in a large, majestic theater and this theater fit the bill perfectly. I heard that the theater was once run-down and that millions were spent to restore it back to its glory days. There was so much original ornamentation that I felt transported back 60 years into the past. I look forward to visit this theater again to actually experience a live show there.
Bryan Satchell
This place is excellent in numerous ways. Visually on par and then some with any theather in Manhattan; staff, the people are great, treat the patrons (in such a busy environment) with respect. Saw the Hip Hop Nutcracker and excellent for the family. Parking was no issue, shopping available on the entire block; you will enjoy yourself.
Bash Spahi
This is a gem in the middle of Brooklyn. The architecture here looks like something you would see in Paris France or Rome Italy. It is a Greek Theater there is no bad seat in this place. Of course the closer you sit the better it is but overall this is a great place.
Anthia Murray
Not good for live music. We saw Toni Braxton with SWV and they were fantastic. Unfortunately we could hardly hear their voices because of the reverberations. The Theater was beautifully restored for sure but not built for loud music from a sound system. So the audience just sang the songs themselves.
MJ Museum
This is such a great place to visit and watch any kind of show or performance! Lots of stars from all over the world visit here to previous and attend Performances! The ambiance is incredible lots of tuxedo dress shows you might even find a red carpet event here!
Stephen Fahnholz
Saw Joe Rogan perform here. It Was an incredible night and the venue is absolutely beautiful. Such masterful architecture throughout the theater. I’d recommend people to go there just to see how beautiful it is!
Theresa Hollers
Beautiful theater. Relatively easy to park - although driving there for a 6 or 7pm show start time is a bit of a nightmare because of traffic. Concessions are expensive but what else do you expect. Staff is friendly.
William Etts
Amazing place to see a show. It has a large number of seats but still feels intimate. The decor is stunning. By far one of my favorite venues in New York city.
Joey Pacheco
Came to this theater for a concert and it was great. The venue is very cool, and security was amazing. Not sure I’d want to come back however just based on location. It’s nestled in a sketchy area where there’s not much around to do. When I walked up to the line, there were cops talking to a man that’d been assaulted while standing in line. Homeless people were walking in and out of the line asking for “birthday money.” Needless to say, we took an Uber out of the venue. We’re not from New York so I can’t be the judge of things, but I’ve felt safer in other venues throughout this city.
R. “Bino” J.
Nice place and location for stage plays, concerts and more. If you haven't been to or toured King's Theatre in Brooklyn, NY - it's worth the tour. Check their website for tour dates. Great architectural work when revitalizing this theatre..
Jose Bustamante
Is a beautiful place great ans amazing theater
Yoselin Pena
It was exciting nice to take pictures very beautiful inside.
Joseph L
Nice venue that is a historic relic sitting in the middle of modern retail and bars in Brooklyn. The inside hall is beautiful and it was a great spot to see music that didn't feel too large of an mega-arena or venue.
Claudia Williams
Historical place. Comfortable seating. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff.
Everlina - Whynter Thomas
The Hiphop Nutcracker was simply AMAZING. The cast outdid themselves. Mr. Curtis Blow was an awesome host who had the crowd going. Can't wait to see what else they have in store for future performances.
Jordana Miriam
This theater is a truly beautiful space. Can’t wait to see another show at this venue. Conveniently located near the B & Q trains at Church ave in Flatbush. Parking is also not too bad on the residential blocks surrounding.
Barney Simon
A great venue, looking at the modern cinema presentation it is hard to imagine that these interiors were so prevalent. I love that Sears lets them use the parking lot behind the theater. For those who might be worried that this venue is in a neighborhood: DON’T BE! The location is great.
Robert O'Connor
Beautiful restored theatre. Probably the nicest theatre I've ever been in. Theatre staff are kind and helpful, though alcohol and food on site are incredibly expensive. I would recommend eating beforehand. Walking distance from Subway, so plenty easy to get to.
Javier Ariza Jr.
I was born, raised and still living in Flatbush. As a kid, I remember walking by this theatre on my way to Macy's on Flatbush Ave. Never would I have imagined that one day I'd be sitting there watching one of my favorite salsa performers (Jerry Rivera). The theatre is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. It's like stepping back in time. But equally as important is the service that a venue provides. The staff at King's is top notch. Professional, friendly and all smiles!
Last night, the performances by Jerry Rivera and Gilberto Santa Rosa were definitely on point. My ONLY issue was the vocals for Rivera were not loud enough at first. After two songs it was resolved.
This place has about 6 or 7 bars on the main floor and one on the lower level outside of the restrooms. I did not go up to the mezzanine. Drinks were served with a smile and packed a solid punch.
A great night. Already looking into future shows. Well played Brooklyn. Bravo Flatbush.
Juan David Ospina
great bathrooms. clean place. good show, good sound. far away from any subway line but whatever. you will walk alot. get ready to walk more than you planned. But at least you can stop for many quick bites on the way there. If you are still reading this you have too much time on your hands.
Veronica Cockrell
This theater is amazing... very clean and cup holder at your seat!!! 😮
Great customer service with a smile and eager to help and please you..
thank you for making my first experience so awesome!!!
Majah Hype was AWESOME!!! …
Jason Elmer
Excellent venue for shows with No Bad seat in the house.
Most recently viewed the Beastie Boys Story from the balcony and saw everything.
Handicapt accessible
Beer and soda available
Snacks and pretzels available.
Don't wait for intermission to use bathroom, it gets crowded quick -or head all the way downstairs ;)
Essance Of A Female EOF
I love the decor inside
patricia macklin lee
Tyler Perry was great. Plus the security, was great. When I told them I was here sent 4:30
pm. The line got long they try to send me in back of line. One of you staff talk nice black man. He mite of been head guy. Told go sent in my car, he come get me. He did, because I had both Knees Replacement. And look sexy the other white guy out side who came out of box office was desrecpful.
Georgenia Rapley
Dope place... the seating was a little uncomfortable and I was in Row 3 from the stage. And the fact that I have to all the way downstairs for the bathroom sucked. But they had a nice system to make sure the line for the bathroom run smoothly.
Dennis Bissoon
This place is beautiful inside, love it!
Damon Allen
Very nice place to see a concert. Nick Cave was amazing and this was the perfect place for that. Get orchestra general admission "seats" if you can. We were 2ft away from the stage. Amazing time!
Olga Key
Adorable place, so unique and beautiful. We watched a Russian Nutcracker ballet in there. So much colors, decorations always changing. Dancers were more than we expected. I liked more than anybody Turkesh pair dancers. They were unreal and unbelievable. We were like in farytail. Definitely will go there again...
Aidita Muñequita
.From the outside busy streets... the theater truthfully doesn't look like much but once you step inside, you're breathe is taken away at how beautifully stunning it is. Everyone is really helpful& nice. Very pleasant experience
Jonathan Buechner
This theater was absolutely gorgeous!
Moonthea Antoque
Sound system is so good and the AC as well. You’re not gon be sweating sweating🫶🏼🫡 …
Nick Davis
This place is amazing. Very beautiful and clean. All stuff is professional and very friendly. Very nice and professional service. It is very beautiful place, amazing show, lights and sound. We are really enjoyed our night concert in Kings Theatre. Will definitely come back. I wouldn't know it is so beautiful, and when I just first walk in I sad it is amazing. Everything is so clean and looks gorgeous. I will thank Kings Theatre Employee's for keeping place clean and nice.
Susana “Susy” Bottaro
Yesterday October 31st 2020 It was the first time I walk into the theater.. Oh my goodness it is beautiful inside.
I wasn't able to take pictures in side of the theater it was inappropriate because I was there to Vote Early .
Jermina James
Great! Place to enjoy show/concert venue. Beautiful ambianis easily and accessible to the stage. Only issues needed to have better food options and an alternative beverages option for non alcoholic drinkers....
Emily R-K
Such a beautiful theatre. The inside is truly gorgeous. Old style theatre reminiscent of the opera houses in Europe. Its a Broadway-size theatre in Flatbush. Not very close to the subway (10-15 minute walk) but well worth the trip.
GabZ
Beautiful theater. I only take one star out because the location is relatively far. However, the sound quality was very good. Ushers were very helpful and kind.
Wendy D. (Outdoor Urban Mama)
Attended with my child and a homeschool group to see The Brooklyn Nutcracker. Excellent performance. Recommended for all ages. The theater has comfortable seats, beautiful internal decore etc. Beverages and snacks sold during certain performances. One downside is that downstairs bathroom may not be ideal for elderlies.
Iola Hall
It's gorgeous inside, however security checks are ridiculous, especially when it comes to bringing in water. The vendors aren't allowed to give water at the food stands and people have to take medication... So I guess they want you to pay $3-$4 for a bottle of dasani, NOT COOL!
Clint Byrne
I love that this historical place wasn't lost to time, it's a cathedral for sound, I just watch Sigur Ros there last week and it sounded beautiful.
(I do wish they dimmed the walkway lighting during the show)
But go and enjoy at least one show there it is worth seeing this place.
Steve Welgoss
Have seen plenty of concerts here. The sound is good, the views are solid, and the flow into the theater is orderly. Public transit nearby is sparse, but that's not the fault of the venue.
Hilary Wentworth
Gorgeous, amazingly restored theater. Quite a big venue and comfortable chairs. Took off a star because they don't allow you to bring in water - you have to buy it, which is so wasteful.
Fabian J.
Tip: come here at least 30min before the show officially starts. The lines tend to get very long which can be painful depending on the weather.
Also food + drinks are very expensive. $30 for a wine + a beer and small pop corn.
The club seats in the center are good, but really no different than the rest.
Victoria George
Place was clean but they need a better system when it comes down to using the handicap bathroom. Waited on line for about 15 minutes because people who don't have disabilities refused to use the other bathroom because they were downstairs. Once in bathroom heard othe patrons complaining that we who has disabilities took too long.
Sakinah A.
My first time inside this theater, came for a Jack White concert. Contains a lobby area, concessions, and alcohol is sold. Generous amount of seats and one upper balcony. Bathrooms are exceptionally clean and located on a lower level. Staff is helpful.
The downside is the proximity to transportation--be prepared to walk, unless you take car service (Lyft had set up a pickup/drop off area), from the subway station. Closest Subway lines per Ticketmaster: 2, 5, Q. Bus lines also travel along Flatbush Avenue; parking on the street will likely be an issue due to the parking meters.
Emily Moran
One of the most gorgeous theaters I've ever seen. It feels like an elaborate movie palace with it's high ceilings and amazing artwork. Doesn't feel cramped like all other NYC theaters.
Christopher Mathieu
Large beautiful venue. Free parking in the fenced in Sears lot behind the theatre. Bathrooms in the basement could really use some better signs to lead the way but really not a bad thing to say.
Mike Adamcek
Beautiful theatre and very friendly and helpful staff.
R Cook (DarkKnight)
King's Theatre was amazing. Great environment. Enjoyed the comedy show there
Maria Vytinidou
Amazingly beautiful theatre! I saw Nick Cave here where it felt it was made for him. 😍❤️ …
Adoria Anderson
Saw Earthquake's fathers day comedy show with my boyfriend and his parents. The theater was clean. The show went well...I just wish the signs for the restrooms were more lit. There was a lot of confusion as to where they were as well as the basement.
Kathryn Squitieri
It is SUCH a gorgeous theater that has been completely restored to its 1920s splendor. You should just go to see it in person! Saw my favorite band there last week and had an amazing time.
Kevin Blackman
Beautiful place to have functions my son graduation was held here
Chef Aunie
The exciting of the theater is a horror story. It's only one entrance and God forbids it's a stampede many people will be severely injured. The air conditioning is another thing that needs to be fixed. Other than that it's a cool theater.
Dee D
Husband and I went to see Sigur Ros. The venue is beautiful and the concert was worth making the trip out to even though it turned out to be a very hectic evening. Wasn't familiar with the crowd at all but that's okay. I got harassed by a security guard on my way into the building, and my husband saw what happened. We got approached by someone working there who saw me go to the side, very upset. Basically, I filed a complaint for the unusual show of hostile behavior (from humiliating me in front of everyone to stepping on my possessions) that felt traumatic. I did not see people before me or after me experience. My husband was in front of me to pass through the scanners and he did not experience this, but he saw and so did others. The head of security called it what it was, harassment. BUT, three stars for taking my complaint seriously even though I ended up getting to my seat late. I appreciated being able to tell someone and hopefully they had at least a serious talk with that person. They took my number but I haven't heard from the place since.
Drew Sommer
Beautiful hall but way bigger than I thought it would be. Sound was good but a bit cavernous. Why exactly does everyone feel they have to stand during the show. I guess that is age talking.
datan7
Kings theater is a great venue. I've seen several shows there are no real bad seats at least from where I've sat. They serve alchohol for the shows. I'm glad such a great venue is in Brooklyn. The sound system is great and up to date.
IndianG-Trini
Went there this June 2017 for a Earthquake comedy show, loved it! The theater isn't that big but it's beautiful inside. The renovations to it were nicely done.
Michael Connor
REFURBISHED TO THE ACES,
with government funding, the Kings is a lovely venue capable of pulling thousands from throughout the region. But most of the acts in the last two years are novelties or seem second or third tier. Sadly, there are yet few signs the shops on Flatbush are picking up much new revenue. The venue, which has great seats and fine loos, can be used better.
Christine Ayuso (Cblake530)
The theater is nice and clean. The staff is helpful and friendly. Just wish there were more signs for the municipal parking lot. I missed 20 minutes of the show looking for parking.
Ana Gannon
Beautiful theatre. We sat on the second level and had not problem hearing or watching our show. The restrooms and the concessions are pretty good too, fast access and prices are average for a venue like this
Zaron Lancaster
The Kings Theatre is beautiful and nicely kept. I attended the SWV/Toni Braxton concert. Getting into the King's Theatre was terrible. The line went around the block. It took quite a while to get in. Otherwise, I had an enjoyable time at the Theatre. I would give a higher mark, but they must make an adjustment to how we enter Theater.
Sassy Browne
Beautiful show. The renovation is spectacular. Lots of stalls in the clean bathroom. The design and stage are all top of the line. Can't wait to go again.
C.
Newly renovated after years in disrepair and neglect, this theater is extraordinary for events. Very stunning decor and wide open hall makes it perfect for concerts and lectures. Maybe they’ll hold a TedX here one day.
Alexandra Louis
Went to my high school graduation here. It was a spacious Auditorium with lots of room. It was very clean at the time. I can imagine it be great for actual shows as the stage was very big
Sholom Munitz
Was here for the Chidon 5778 Game Show! Wow! This place is really something. Incredibly beautiful theater! It was truly a memorable experience. The staff weren't the nicest but the venue itself was outstanding! And of course the kids themselves put on quite the performance, displaying their incredible knowledge of the 613 Mitzvos!
Irina Goltzman
Keep in mind that parking available at Sears, right behind the theater. Also if your show is the only performance, like I had, come towards the door opening time! I missed 20 minutes of performance by waiting in the line to check in. They were telling us that the show will not begin without us, but it did. 50 minutes of waiting in the line. And about 100 more people after me. The place is huge! Lots of bathroom stalls. Caring attendants.
Mariel S
Beautiful venue. Also nice/large bathrooms which rank high on the priority list for a concert venue. Who wants to miss “Heads will Roll” because they had to wait for slow peers?
Alisia Gill
This is a gorgeous venue! The acoustics are bananas. They have great drinks and friendly staff. Seats are. Bit tight but that’s to be expected.
LoveAND Peace
GORGEOUS GORGEOUS theater!!! Went here for my son's high school graduation a few days ago. The seats are comfy and the air conditioner was AMAZING!!! I'll be looking into what other event I can attend here. The WORST of it all is THE PARKING! Find some other way to get there and home.
J-Rocks!
Great venue, fancy decor, sound (rock music) is loud, my ears are still ringing two days later and I wore earplugs.
Easy to get to by subway.
Drinks expensive: $10 beer.
