Reviews of Manchester Historic Association's Millyard Museum

Manchester's old mill museum. It's part of the first floor of a Mill 3 which was built in 18th century. I was visiting first time, started without having any background of this place but within first 10 minutes the information provided in the museum took my attention and I started getting interested.
When I cross 8th or 10th display I was so impressed with the way the mill was constructed and operated in 17th and 18th century. It's really mesmerizing facts.
All American kids has to visit this place to understand the hard work gone behind constructing today's America.
The steam fire engine and yester year House, photos , market area . Time well spent. Need at least 2 to 3 hours to go through all the displays. If you are in a hurry then an hour is ok.
8$ entry fee for adults. 4$ for kids 12-18 yrs. Worth it! Visit to admire yester years engineering and technology achievements. Great!

The Millyard Museum provides a historical insight of the development of Manchester, from its earliest settlers up to modern times. Many displays highlight the growth of the various types of manufacturing introduced to Manchester over the years, as well as the people who contributed to the progress.
The many exhibits are well documented and well displayed. Well worth the visit..

Wonderful experience, history of Manchester, NH from early textile industry to modern reclamation of the old brick mill building. The exhibits are truly outstanding and it's definitely worth a visit.

Excellent museum. They have all sorts of information on the history of the city, the many unique communities that have shifted and grown there, and everything you could possibly need to know about textiles. It's also quite accessible, in that there are so many benches to sit and read or watch one of their many documentaries. I would avoid using Groupon to score tickets there, because this nonprofit organization often only receives about 10% of whatever you pay to Groupon. Besides, they also a number of great admissions deals in-house for students, seniors, etc. Would highly recommend!

Such a delight! Quick trip to New Hampshire for a half marathon, and so glad I stopped by this museum to learn a little bit about the city. Plus, I mentioned to the lady at the front desk that I had a background in horse racing and she was super nice, and we had a nice chat about the track in NH that no longer exists.

I had a Groupon voucher and decided to take my son. Though I liked the displays and tried to read the history, my son wasn't into it. He liked the metal tunnels that echoed your voice. My favorite was the old 🔥 fighting equipment.
I will return and if you're interested in history, I recommend a visit. …

This is a really neat place! We had to go through backwards because there was a class of kids so I bet it was really neat if you saw it the right way lol. It's got a little gift shop too and you don't have to be visiting the museum to shop there. It's a cool way to spend an afternoon

Great place to learn about the history of the Mills and Manchester.
The layout is logical and covers not only what happened, but why and how it effects the people back then.
We spent almost 2 hours going through the exhibits.

Great place. Well organized, informative and clean. Kid friendly. $10 a little high but good cause.
