This Louisville international airport is kind of small but either then that it's super easy to locate and get around so you will not be getting lost like at other huge airports so I guess that's the plus side of it being small but the downside is that not a lot of air traffic goes to there so maybe like 5 planes throughout all the gates. But it's a nice little spot with a bunch of information and things to do while you come in to visit Kentucky or are already leaving Kentucky either way you'll always have something to do !

This airport is one of the nicest I've been to. Clean and laid out in an efficient manner, I could quickly navigate from my plane to the rental car area. Signage both within the terminal and on the exit roads were easy to read and understand. Food choices were interesting and numerous, everything from Starbucks to a bourbon tasting area. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Very nice airport! Small but very clean and easy to get around. Get food before you go through TSA - not too many choices at the gates. And bring a jacket - holy cow, is it cold in the terminal!

Great that the airport wants to fix the chairs at the gates but is there not a staging area that this work can be done verses at the gate. The noise from the power tools makes it very difficult to hear any announcements. Would it be possible to use ratchets next time that do not make near as much noise.

I would give 5 stars if it weren’t for the horrible parking situation. The airport is modern, clean, has good security and plenty shops. But parking is a nightmare, especially for people with disabilities. I really wish they had taken into consideration that a lot of elderly or disabled people have a very hard time now to find parking close to the actual airport building, before they turned the whole first floor into rental car parking and take away handicap access/ parking! We finally found parking on the 3rd floor somewhere in the back because everything was full, and then had to walk what seemed like half a mile to the elevator, which was of course out of order! We had to carry our suitcases and carryons down the stairs and then cross a street to get into the airport building. A week later we returned from our trip and that elevator was still not working! We had to walk to the other end of the building to use another elevator if we didn’t want to haul our luggage up the stairs! That’s too much work to get to the car. They can do better!

The lady that took me to the gate was kind of odd. When I went through security and had to take medical devices out of my suitcase, she grabbed them and decided it was ok for her to open my suitcase and put my items back in it while rummaging around. I was not pleased. The people at the gate were very nice and helpful. Southwest needs to get more leg room for those seats. It's crazy tight.

Several dining establishments to choose from, the B Concourse's gates could be updated with seating that has USB ports for charging devices. Nicely decorated for the holidays, which brighten the airport! Lots of places to grab a drink or two. Several places to grab gifts or souvenirs. Wish they had more artwork in the concourses, that would be more inviting for the flyers. It also seems a little dark in the concourses during the evening, which makes it a little uncomfortable.

It is my second time to arrive at Louisville International Airport. It shows itself as a growing and booming city. A good place for visit. All the pictures and videos were taken in the air above the city. There was western horizon with a sunset view while the entire east was cloudy in the night sky.

I hope one day our city can have a real airport. Maybe they should just sell it to UPS and build a new one. The last time I flew from here the flight was delayed. Most of the restaurants were closed by 5pm. We have passengers at the international counter buying tickets but no direct flights other than domestic. Also, I think we should emphasize something about our town other than bourbon and boxing. People might think we are all a bunch of violent drunks.

Probably the easiest airport i have ever been to. Through security in 5 minutes and check in/TSA staff are very pleasant and patient. Almost no delays as there is minimal air traffic into SDF (besides UPS planes).

Clean. Lots of food and souvenir options. I loved the water bottle fill ups throughout after you get through security. So take an empty bottle with you. TSA had to pat me down because the machine told them to. While it was a woman and outside of my clothes it was so intimate and on display for everyone to watch. It held up the line so they were practically forced to watch or at least look to see what was the hold up. I know it keeps us safe but i had a panic attack afterwards and there's nothing i could do, or can do now, so I deduct a star. Feeling powerless is part of life and inevitable but... Just but.

Very decent small airport. Starbucks opens early (4:45 am) and closes late (10:00 pm). If you need to crash overnight (as I did), the couch seating near Starbucks and KFC is reasonably comfortable.

Easy in, easy out. Departures on upper level, arrivals on lower. Be in the right most lane after splitting off from the E 65 exit to have the choice of either level. Middle lane will be lower level or parking only.

I fly here most of the time. Unfortunately, flights from this airport are a little pricier but that is understandable as it is a local airport not an international one. TSA is very quick to go through.

Airport took good care of us as we had driven from Dayton, Ohio to connect with a charter flight to Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. However someone needs to do a better job with charter info. Our ticket did not give us gate info and the gate 8 still had a morning flight posting from Delta . We were with Sun Country/Allegiant Air to leave at 9:00 pm Our wheel Chair Assist worked diligently to get necessary info. A hour later they got to he info.

I was flying to Uzbekistan with my two children aged 17 and 18 and we decided to stop at Kentucky to visit my friends. I met some very nice people and totally recommend this place!

Parking in the surface lot-quick pick up and great service... normally security line short and quick, not a huge selection of terminal restaurants but what they have is pretty good...flights almost always on time so overall always a good experience to travel to and from Louisville international airport

Smaller airport but you need better signage during you remodeling. I never been there before. The sign to specific parking area was not good also. Very limited food choices.

Airport typical experience. Not great, not bad. Middle of the road. Allows waiting at pickup curb in arrival area. Finally added outdoor walkway from parking to terminal (only needed 20 years in waiting), guess it's a benefit of the 2020 pandemic.

When I finally landed here it was after an exhausting 2 days of travel so my nerves were on edge. I came out to wait for my ride there was some benches so went over to sit. I have no idea why flying makes me tired but it sure zapps the energy right out of me. There were a few people already sitting and a few standing. There was a drink can sitting on the bench blocking the area so nobody could sit there. After a few minutes I went over and picked it up to throw it away and sit down. That's when a TSA agent who had been pacing with his phone to his ear but not saying anything came over and roughly took the can away from me and sat it back on the bench. I was absolutely floored by his actions. I sat down as close to the can as I could. He finally finished his cigarette picked up his can and still without saying anything into his phone walked away. Rude is the only thing I could call him. I was so tired I knew the best thing for me to do was keep my mouth shut cause the last thing i needed was to go to jail for grabbing this guy by the ear and giving him a lesson in manners. I did however take some very nice pictures of him and his precious can. If you run into him remember dont touch his can. Lol

Nice little airport that is easy to get around in. Security was a breeze and the gates are clean with plenty of seating. This is a smaller airport with the rentals cars onsite, which is always a plus. I hate getting on a shuttle. Pretty good food and a bourbon tasting restaurant on the second floor.

Well... It's always nice to return to Louisville after traveling half way across the planet and to see that old familiar airport. It might have been renamed the Muhammed Ali International Airport. But it will always be Standiford Field to me. We need more food options. Especially if you're flying in or out late, or on weekends. But our airport does the job.

For an airport with lots of domestic flights, this airport is relatively quick to get through TSA and to get to your gate. It could benefit from more personnel to help direct people to the correct gates and more food options past TSA.

Nice service Aug 2022- rode to RAP with stop in ORD, planes and staff were excellent. I walk with cane and was assisted by wheelchair rides at both SDF and ORD. Young people friendly and polite! Good experience. Luggage made the trip with me.

Traveled in and out of this airport my entire life, being that I call Louisville home. Only major complaints from myself are where the new car rental location is, & the fact the signage really doesn't make sense in where our how to get there. Especially if your not familiar with the airport layout prior to arriving.

Snoopy landing on runway 99. Louisville International Airport is still run efficiently and we got to the boarding gate in plenty of time before the scheduled time to board. Spirit Airlines, not so much. United Airlines check-in and boarding staff were efficient and helpful.

Booked first flight with Spirit Airlines and it will be the last. United gave good service but a flight on Spirit, the people at the gate desk waited a half hour after the scheduled departure time to tell everyone the flight would be rescheduled 2 hours later

Well marked, average security wait time. TSA agents were friendly and efficient. Only negative was they didn't have the new hightech carry on baggage scanner open that allows passengers to not have to take anything out of thier bags.

This is one of the cozy smaller airports but it does have a few nice shops inside. There are locations like the restrooms that need to be updated, that's the reason for four stars, but I've seen where this airport has grown and improved. They're still improving it too. To the people that show up to work and keep this place running as smooth as they can. THANK YOU and KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK Y'ALL!!!

When you're used to flying out of NYC JFK, Louisville Intl Airport feels like child's play. Very tiny, intimate setting. It was actually quite refreshing - no ridiculously long lines for check-in and TSA. Very clean and quiet. Would definitely love to visit again. Only disappointment was that I didn't get my souvenir sweatshirt because the shop didn't have my size.

Easy rental drop-off and quick check in at American counter (so nice to check in and drop bags at one stop!). TSA even followed the rules as they held an ID-less, home town, Heisman trophy winner (Lamar Jackson) at the security gate even though they obviously knew who he was.

Not a bad facility to maneuver thru but when you have signs posted for "no waiting" in the arrival area, there should not be 15+ cars waiting along the curb. No attendant working the area to regulate traffic.

This actually happened a couple of years ago and as I was telling the story to a friend of mine I realized I did not thank the two ladies that help us. For my son's graduation / 18th birthday I booked him and I a trip to Los Angeles for one night to spend the night in Ms Janis Joplin's hotel room. When we got to the airport we were 20 minutes late for our flight and missed it. My son said that he looked over at me and I think I was in shock my lip was quivering and I was just didn't know what to do. Then I heard these two older black ladies saying come on down here girl I got you and those ladies was able to find us another flight right away I don't think we had to wait for No More than 15-20 minutes. We got on the flight we got to LA we had a great experience that we will take with us for the rest of our life. I wish I knew those ladies names because the other lady the original lady that was helping us did not care but those two ladies they did and I hope this letter gets them. I just want to say thank you thank you so much and you will forever be part of our great story ♥️ and to the original lady that was helping us sometimes a job is just a job but sometimes you can change things in a person's life and don't even know it. If I had n't gone on that trip when I did I would have never been able to. Soon after we got home I got into some horrendous car accidents and have not been able to afford much since almost to the point of losing my house. So we took that trip at the exact time that we needed to. Thank you again and forever ♥️

This is an international Airport. You will however find UPS is the largest carrier coming and going. This airport is small Just two terminals with a dozen or so commercial carriers. The airport has recently had a few updates. Eat options are minimal. There is a Starbucks.

The airport isn't bad and they are doing some renovations. One thing I wish they would add is number the outside doors so you can tell your pickup person where to find you. Many airports are doing this. Makes life so much easier

Very clean and well organized. It has only 2 concourses making flights super efficient from here. My kids travel frequently and the Delta crew here do an amazing job with them. Restaurants: Outside Security: some restaurant that serves alcohol but the food is not very good. (Name keeps changing). Starbucks but not yet open and a KFC with a limited menu. Inside Security: Chili's and Starbucks which opens at 5:15am.

Seems like a very nice airport. I was surprised that when I arrived at about 15:45 that many of the shops were closed. That's not helpful to travelers looking for something to eat, especially when the airline is late all day even though the weather was fine.

Well I only got to see the tarmac and the out side of the terminal and gate area from my plane. It was a stopover, no plane change. But besides that I imagine the airport is quite decent. In fact if I ever had a reason to fly here, I would.

Compact and efficiently designed making it easier to navigate than O'Hara or Dallas. Most of the concessions are still closed but Book and Bourbon provided us a lovely lunch. Parking was difficult but manageable with reasonable prices. A pleasant experience.

The airport was packed. TSA got us through quickly. There were probably 300 people in front of me. Got through the line in about an hour and a half. Bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of food choices.

The airport is good but the lady at the thrifty car rentals was a totally rude . She was so rude to the people in front of me that they told her to keep the car and went to a different rental facility. She slowly told me there were no cars available and kept trying to get me to rent a much more expensive vehicle and made me wait . Once she realized that I wasn't going to rent the more expensive one she all of a sudden had a car for me . Very shady way to perform business. This was a thrifty car rentals and the lady wore glasses and had brown hair . Totally RUDE to me and other customers. I hope the right person will see this and get something done about it. Thanks

This airport is good for quick stops, only longer stops if you have access to the USO.... seating is limited throughout the airport, and it's pretty small but there are plenty of bars and eateries throughout "bourbon city"

The airport itself isn't really bad, but some of the employees are questionable. I didn't know my way around had to temporarily park my car (because I was trying to find my mother who suffered from dementia) to ask an airport security guard for directions. After he did that, he just HAD to tell me to move my car and I gave him some choice words. Another time I was coming back on vacation and had to wait almost an hour for my checked bags. Ridiculous! I would go to Bluegrass International Airport in Lexington, but it's more expensive being a smaller airport

Louisville international is a small airport and doesn't offer any type of sky lounge. But it's nice to have a flight that boards at 9:45am, and I arrived at 9:00am and still had time to sit before my flight.

"Cellphone waiting area is "gone", as person picking up an arrival you are forced to circle endlessly until your guests have collected their belongings. This is an international Airport! It's gotta get better than this, again!

I love their new assistive parking. You don't have to drive up &down looking for a spot, you just look up overhead & see a green light &there is an available spot. Genius for whom ever thought of this! However, getting to the parking took two trips around the airport because the last sign where you need to turn says "rental car return" & NOT parking.

It was nice other than being literally 85 degrees in the terminal. For people with asthma that's a difficult temperature when you're having to hoof it across the airport to catch a flight, lol.

Due to their location, parking lot, local and International flights options Louisville Airport is one of my three top favorites Airports in the United States of America and always one the best recommended places to travel from! Smooth arrival and departure experience. I did get lost finding the rental car booths in the parking garage as there were no signs indicating they were on the floor below. We flew American Airlines, they were great! The people at the checkin made it so simple and the attendant, Jeanine (I think), was above and beyond fabulous! Easy to navigate and the TSA people were actually pleasant, welcoming, and very professional.

Lines can get very long at checkpoint to get to your gate. Was moving slow when I was there. So get there at least an hour before your departure. Gates are nearby afterwards. Very easy to navigate. Airport is clean. Signs are not confusing like other airports. Car rental just outside. No need for shuttles. Driving out of the rental place is an acute turn so be careful and incoming traffic can be hard to see.

Small airport. Easy to navigate. Bathrooms are relatively clean. Sometimes not enough seating for each gate. Car rental is at the airport campus. So no need for shuttles, which is nice, you don’t have to waste time with the shuttles etc. Car rental return easy. Fill up your tank for car rental 1-2 exits before airport exit. They usually have ones close to the exit and easy to hop back to the freeway.

That was the most efficient TSA if ever seen. I arrived 1/2 hour before my flight departure time. The line to get thru security was longest I've ever seen at SDF. I got thru in 20min. Amazing! Good work TSA 💪 …

Friendly workers all except 1 yard jock that moves the trailers around. He's grumpy, talks to you like you're nothing, and he won't hardly look at you so forget asking for help unless you locate the other yard jock (there's usually 2.).. Also don't park there overnight if you are a truck driver. There is an airport next door and there's planes zooming thru there all night. Other than that it's a great place!

Very nice airport. It is not very big. If you have a long layover there is plenty of stuff for you to do. They do offer services as transportation and rental cars. Staff is super friendly and it is kept very clean. Close to downtown if needing to stay overnight.

This is a smaller airport but very efficient! The long term parking garage is within walking distance to the terminals, this is nice because it is unclear when the shuttles come by. Hardly any wait to check a bag, most of the airlines have kiosks set up to assist with this. Security doesn’t take too long and there are a few restaurants on the other side of security where you can get food or drinks. You are also able to purchase bottles of bourbon on both sides of security!!!

Went to pick up my daughter at midnight and the place was packed!! They have done a lot of renovation work and that's great but I noticed how many small shops are closed. Covid-19 has hit these small locations hard.

There's is no cell phone waiting area, while waiting to pickup !! Most airports now have a side area called cell phone waiting area, that way you don't have to pay for parking or keep circle back around !! There is a area on the side of the road where ppl just wait but there are signs everywhere that says no stopping !

Louisville International Airport is easy to navigate and the TSA is very efficient and friendly. My flight was at 6:45 am. I was surprised when I arrived at 4:30 to find the airport was not staffed til 5 am. I stood in line til 5 am to check my bag and get thru security. Keep in mind that the flights are limited and there will be times the airlines are not staffed.

There are advantages and disadvantages of being a smaller airport. There aren't as many flight options, which sometimes means paying more. However, it's much less crowded. I've never had trouble making my flight with time to spare when getting there 90 minutes ahead of time. At other airports, 2 full hours aren't enough!

When renting a car there be aware not all signs point you in the right direction. The elevator indicates that rentals are on the first level of the garage. This is partially true, the vehicles are there and SOME of the counters. Most are on the 2nd level inside the airport. So be aware of that.

A recent trip to French Lick brought me to this airport for the first time. It's a pretty small airport with two small concourses. We have TSA pre check and got through security quickly. The regular security line didn't look long either. We had to hang out at the airport for a while waiting for my parents to pick us up. They have some nice seating areas to work at. The airport was freezing though. Not a lot of restaurant selection since it's so small. There was no line to pick up or drop off at departures and arrivals which was refreshing. Overall, not a bad airport.

Good service for this smaller airport. LOVE the Starbucks in here. Despite the ongoing construction here as of DEC 2016, there is still plenty of room to maneuver. The airport is well laid out and run pretty well, too. Very little delay in TSA checks, baggage claim, ticketing, and gate services.

Once you get your luggage, you can just go outside and pick up your rental car. Easy freeway/highway access. Not too far from Fort Knox and downtown Louisville. If you see any complaints about this airport, it is coming from people who fly two or three times a year who show up without removing ipads and jewelry while arguing on why they cannot take liquids through TSA. It's small but very efficient as we fly at least once every three months. Tip - The airport site recommends arrival up to 90 mins before your boarding time. We arrived for a non-stop, red eye and made it to our gate as they were boarding (checked luggage and went to the wrong gate). if you follow the rules, it works. **If you want to hit up Starbucks and buy souvenirs, I suggest arriving 2 to 2.5 hrs before your flight. If not, get your Starbucks before you go through TSA and drink while you are in line. If you read the rules on the web page, you will be fully prepared to fly through this place.

This is a great airport and a perfect time to rant. The lines move quickly and everyone is nice. I have noticed that the people who review the airport harshly are the ones who expect too much. It's YOUR responsibility to get to the airport in time and YOUR responsibility to deal with YOUR bags. The customer service is excellent. If you treat people with respect then you will be helped, if you are mean and rude then naturally you wont get anywhere. My advice to anyone flying anywhere is just deal with it. Flying is not a luxury vacation, its taking a bus with wings and expensive tickets. Just because you pay the high price for the ticket doesn't mean you're entitled to any preferential treatment. We all paid the price and we all will get to our destinations. Check your bags, take off your shoes and belt, empty your pockets and quietly enjoy the flight.

Staff is nice. As a non-frequent flyer, I often get nervous during the TSA process - I just want to make sure I'm doing what needs to be done. They didn't make me feel rushed, or feel like a piece of dirt on the bottom their shoe during the TSA process, which I have experienced at other airports. Upon reaching out to Officer Sims, he put us in contact with Josh at National Car rental who assisted us with renting a car. Both of these guys were very, very nice, helpful, and courteous. B15-B19 airside has minimal power outlets. Seats in the sitting area do not have power outlets. Power charging stations only have five outlets and all of them are constantly filled. People were constantly trying to charge their devices, but could not find any outlet. SDF needs to invest in sits that have more outlets for people.

This is my home airport, and I love it. All the Louisville & KY photos, signage, decor makes me smile, because it really highlights the best of Louisville & KY. They're doing a lot of construction right now (June 2020) & Covid precautions are in place, so if you're going to be there in the foreseeable future just know it's not looking its best, but is still a good airport. DETAILS: SDF is relatively small, but can feel big if you're walking to/from the furthest gate. Parking is plentiful & inexpensive, BUT it can be confusing to get to. In fact, the entire airport loop can be confusing because there's a lot of lane changing, & decisions to make as you approach the parking & terminal. That said, it's easy & fast to just loop around again if you miss a turn the first time. Welcome to Louisville! ☺️

Sensible layout. Comfortable waiting area seating. Beautiful views of the sunrise and sunset. There are delicious vegan friendly snacks and drinks. My only complaint is that each time I've come through this airport, my flight has been SEVERELY delayed (flying United)... which was a huge problem for me because I was flying internationally with multiple flight connections and each time I ended up missing my flights and having to reschedule and lengthen my travel time.

Very nice place, with excellent decor. It does Louisville proud. It is also of great use when one wishes to travel great distances, but does not have access to other viable long-distance transportation, such as wormholes, dragons, or a car that can turn into a spaceship (I'm definitely saving up for one of these). Here you can just hop on one of our sky ships and it will zip you to wherever you need to go. The staff are also quite amicable, which is always a win

After traveling to Cincinnati Airport a few months ago, I found out how much I really like Louisville Airport. The Airport is very clean, and TSA isn't terrible. They are friendly and the lines move faster than other airports. I agree with someone else about too many announcements. My daughter doesn't ask much, but she ask me to always fly out of Louisville.

Just Rude. I was eating thin pretzels and a tiny crumb fell on the floor. Moments later a man and a broom showed up and said you made a mess. I looked down and said, "Are you talking about that?" A crumb 1/4 the size of a penny, and he said "yes and I'm waiting for you to move your bag so I can get it." Are you serious really? 1. It was tiny 2. I love this little airport. I appreciate it most when arriving back after traveling to much larger airports. Security usually moves pretty quickly so you don't have to arrive super early. Baggage claim always seems to take forever, but that's the only downside.

A smaller airport, which sometimes can be advantageous, inn my experience I have found this airport to be quite crowded, even just taking a Canada Regional Jet a couple of states over into Michigan. When I arrived at the gate I was surprised to see such a small airport so crowded on a weekday, especially for a regional flight. Finding a seat to wait to board at those times can sometimes be an issue. Otherwise, some of the pros of being a smallerr airport would be that it is cleaner than many airports that I have been in. However sometimes it can be nice to get to kill some time in a larger airport walking around and exploring a bit as you wait for your flight. As with anything, your milage may vary. From my personal experience, the air port was middling. It was kind of crazy how packed the area my gate was in compared to the rest of the airport. There just isn't that much space to accomodate high traffic travel days.

I'm in a LOT of airports and SDF is decent. They're making upgrades right now, but realistically, it's never going to be amazing. What it is though, is easy to get in and out of. Parking isn't too far away, relatively quick to get through TSA and there is a Starbucks past security. Additionally, with only two terminals, you're never super far from your gate... Nice for the size of the city. Only thing that could be better would be more Delta direct flights.

I may be biased as a Louisvillian, but I have never seen such a clean airport. The restrooms are the best airport ones I've ever seen. It's a small airport (relatively), but it could use another eatery or two (McDonald's breakfast sounds good). Lines usually move pretty quickly, which is nice. The seats aren't very comfortable while waiting; well, they're okay, just not something I'd want to sit in all day. Overall, it's a good airport!

It's great fun to watch the UPS Rush Hour while riding roller coasters across the street at Kentucky Kingdom. It really adds to your amusement park experience. I've never been a passenger on the commercial airlines side of this Airport, but I have flown a private plane into it and ATC and line services are excellent.

I am at SDF around 50 times per year. Nice, small airport. Awesome if you're local. Easy access, cheap parking, never crowded (even during derby or Thanksgiving). Construction was a drag, but finishing up now. Looks way better. Not a ton of shops, but that can be a good thing too. The "free" wifi is limited to 20 minutes, which is the worst I've ever seen. My hope is that they correct this uncompetitive anomaly and regain the missing 5th star from this review.

Was waiting for takeoff on Southwest Airlines on February 1st and was delayed 50 mins due to deicing. It took 3 trucks to get the job done. 1st truck ran out of deicing fluid, 2nd truck had some kind of mechanical problem so 3rd truck finally was able to get us deice. Seems to me there should be a gauge on the trucks to tell if they are low on fluid or not. That was pretty ridiculous that it took 3 trucks to get us on our way. Thank goodness it was a nonstop flight and I did not have a Connecting flight

I want to take a moment to brag on the SDF airport security. I encountered them when returning back home from a very emotionally draining trip after laying my stepmother to rest. I was greeted by a very kind woman whom gave me instruction on what items to remove per the usual drill- however, her delivery was key. She had such warm eyes and spoke to me as a human being. I continued through security while several different officers were cheerful and friendly. They saw I was distraught and one female officer insisted on gathering all the kleenex they could find for my tears and runny nose; meanwhile another actually made me laugh with swift comedic relief. This was a human effort unlike any I've felt from random strangers. I believe my interaction was just about with 10 security team members. I have traveled many airports and been spoken to so rudely from security in many tones that were harshly unnecessary, maybe even demeaning. All of the SDF security team were a pleasure in my brief interaction. I am so glad that was my parting experience while traveling back home. Thank you to this wonderful crew who made a day that was so sad a little brighter. Love and light to all of you wonderful people.

It’s a fine airport, with expensive snacks like all the others. Parking is fairly priced, but the wait at baggage claim is awful!! Check your luggage planeside if you’re in a hurry when arriving at SDF!

SDF is a fairly quiet airport which is very easy to navigate. Great Starbucks in the main area and plenty of your typical areas for seating. Unlike Charlotte, Cincinnati, Philadelphia etc you don't have to worry about transportation across all the various wings etc. Security and the check-in process is generally very speedy and friendly. In many ways it reminds me of some of the smaller airports in Florida but with less palm trees. It is always a joy to fly out of SDF and to come back home! By far my favorite airport. Arriving an hour ahead of time allows more than enough time to check-in and enjoy a cup of coffee and relax. Update: After traveling all over the country I still stand by my review. This is by far the easiest airport in the United States. Friendly and helpful staff, TSA moves things along quickly. I dread other airports but not SDF.

Took my 80 y/o mother in law to Louisville International to fly to Atlanta to visit with her son & his wife for Mother's Day. Delta is absolutely THE best. Their service and care for the customer is second to none. Their service representatives know and do their jobs extremely well and my family and I hold them in high regard.

Ok airport, but it seems to open up late for early flights and it is a ghost town if you get in after 9:00. If you have an early flight, your only breakfast option is Starbucks when you first arrive, and the line is long. Chili’s opens up a bit too late for a 6:00 flight.

Very nice looking Airport, super helpful staff, kind of confusing baggage claim it takes the monitors a while to show what flights baggage is coming in and all the shops and restaurants before security were closed and they had no vending machines, not certain how late they stay open but it was 6pm when they were closed for me.

THE WORST WIFI EXPERIENCE OF ANY AIRPORT I HAVE USED. WHY DON'T THE POWERS THAT BE DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?? Folks are always complaining about that. Otherwise, functional airport - nothing special, but very clean and security is better than average in moving people through.

Always a pleasure coming through SDF. Clean, simply layout, nice staff, and most importantly not too big or too small. There are cheap flights to every major city, but not so big that you have to fight crowds and walk 25 minutes to a distant concourse.

This is my hometown airport. I love the no-lines TSA, the rental agencies right outside the terminal, and the fact that the airport is 15 minutes or less from downtown. I've read a number of comments on here stating that the eateries all close too earlier for late flyers. Here's a bit of advice, get yourself something to eat, or if you find yourself stuck for two hours or so, just go and get something to eat near by. Indies, White Castle, McDonald's they all have shops close to the airport that stay open 24HRs! We are so quaint that our motto should be, "go ahead baby and get you something to eat, we'll be here when you get back!"

Can still remember when this was called Standiford Field. It was a pretty good airport then. During the 90's the terminal had gone through a major makeover. So I was pretty well astounded upon a return visit in 2005 to see that the airport have gone through considerable expansion since then.

I love SDF. That being said, it needs major work on how quickly the airlines get the bags to bag claim. SDF is quick and easy getting in for a flight, but, is slow and sometimes frustrating getting luggage and getting out.

Terrible wifi, at least if you hate Boingo wifi. My mom and I had a six hour flight delay due to a thunderstorm. I tried to watch youtube while we wait and I could only use the wifi for 20 minutes. Afterwards I was asked to pay for more time. At least speed wasn't a problem. But it was one of the highlights of one of the worst experiences I have ever had traveling anywhere. They should also take" leaving isn't easy" out of their ad slogan. At least people at the front desk were nice and sympathetic.

Do not let the name fool you, this is only an international airport due to the UPS air hub. Their are no commercial flight out of the continental US. Although, their are some benefits to this, screening lines are shorter than most and ticket counter lines are not bad if you time it right.

Massive runways and the latest in airport equipment thanks to being UPS's primary air hub. Parking is cheap and easy, lines are never long, and the airport staff is friendly.

Place isn't bad, but never have dealt, with such a long line for screening, have been to many airports, but this place needs to update it's handling of screening passengers, maybe get more machines,and learn to handle more people, line did move, but could of move faster , with more machines, and learn to handle more people, otherwise good place.
