This discounted store is conveniently located on Gessner in Spring Branch. The store is very clean and has fairly wide aisles for a discount store. They have everything imaginable here... from batteries, to tools, to grocery items, to Christmas decorations. All items are sold at $1.79 unless otherwise posted.

The best dollar store on Gessner. Right now they have a good selection of Christmas stuff including select clothing. You know, socks and caps and wearable accessories. Remember its $1.39 for most things and grab a funny looking cart to shop. Decent amount of candy and sodas. Look around and you'll find something you like. I found a nice travel coffee cup. I really love King Dollar I love the fact that it's in the neighborhood not too far from my work. It is very convenient for me. I love their prices as they have the best stuff in there for an affordable price. I have some girls who are graduating and I just wanted to celebrate them with some nice special little gifts. Within my price range and I was able to do that. The cashier was so nice and so friendly and helpful. I really enjoy King Dollar it's one of my spots that I love to go to. So y'all don't sleep on King Dollar it is a diamond in the rough.

The king of discount stores! Think 99¢ Stores but on steroids! Most items are priced at $1.25. Store inside is really spacious with many well-known brand name items at bargain prices. Due to its distance I can't visit as much as I would like to but the few times I've gone, I always end up getting some great bargains.

Now they always changing things in this store. Never fear that you are going to find the same as the last time you go when you go back. They have a nice staff. But I do remember when the price on the items were a little cheaper. They have name brands and then some. The price could stand to go backwards instead of higher. Don't disregard the tax. Any extra change in your pocket when you get done,,,, whew I will be in shock. But nice store.

The employees followed me around the store. Not sure if it was because I had on face shield and mask or a deeper issue. The cashier was very RUDE and kept scowling at me. It was some good deals, otherwise I would have just left. I'm currently looking for a corporate number to call and make a formal complaint.

I loved seeing what all they had to offer.they had a ton of stuff to offer for $1.25. I love getting cheap deals. It was a little cramped because there were a lot of people around Christmas time. The workers were very friendly and got you through the checkout line very fast.

In this store youll find almost all you need for #1.50 dollar. Amazing I bougt a lot of thing, dandruff,shampoo, coconut oil cream, acetaminophen, advil, colon clean, foot massage roller, hammer, screews, car asesories, sandals, Gel insoles for shoes, variety of cookies and snaks, cap, sunblock, umbrellas, condoms, lubricant LOL . Almost everithing is there.

Most of the time they have what you need. I go here for my Downy and cold water wash. I also buy my sponges here for washing dishes. These sponges are the best for my hands. I have arthritis on both hands. I can hold on to these sponges. They are easy to grip. They have mosquito spray and wasp and hornet spray as well. And everything is $1.35 including the sales tax. So it helps if you are on a budget or price conscious. All size gift bags are this same price too.

Did not receive quality customer service in the store while searching for what I needed due to non-English speaking busy staff more concerned with doing his task. It was 830PM so I get it was near closing time. The check out lady was plesant but didn't understand what I was looking for until I spoke to her in Spanish. There are $ stores and Dollar stores. King Dollar remains Nia's favorite even though it's slightly more expensive - nothing more than $1.39. Yes, most their stuff is better quality, and some stuff can be better bargains somewhere else, but you always get your $ worth. Except for produce, which King Do-La won't have - not yet. Enjoy your visit and know your prices!

This store has incredible variety, reminds me of an old-fashioned five-and-dime store. A little less organized than a big old Woolworth's, no lunch counter, but a lot of groceries and even produce. The sign is amusing.

Great place for quick deals. This is my favorite King Dollar location. Everything is well organized and they have a large selection of cheap goods. The building is very old and apparently used to be something else before King Dollar, but to me it adds to the ambiance. This is my guilty pleasure because I can walk in a King Dollar and pick up 20 items and spend only $20. I feel like I'm getting way more value than other "name brand" stores. Yes, overall the quality isn't as good, but with proper care and a little bit of common sense the things you get here can last just as long as their more expensive counterparts. The food selection I usually don't mess with because most is close dated or past the "sell by" date. That doesn't mean it's bad per se, but I'd rather shop for that elsewhere. Other than that its fairly easy to find some good deals. Screws, nails, clamps, "O" rings and other small hardware is a huge value here. You'd pay double or triple in a Home Depot or Lowe's for these little items. One particular favorite of mine is the felt furniture pads. Usually around $5-7 at most stores. Here only $1.25. They have sponges, brushes, tubs, pails, kitchen/cleaning towels, food containers and baggies, plates, bowls, plastic silverware, party supplies, pet supplies, stationery, pens, pencils, crayons, soaps, shampoos, hair care products... The list goes on. It's a great place to make a "travel pack" with shampoo, soap, deodorant, etc. that you won't worry about leaving behind because it's so cheap. It's a great place to make a car kit with tools, tape, first aid, clamps, window washer/squeegee, funnels for fluids, etc. It's a great place to get a broom, dustpan, mop, mop bucket, cleaning sprays, etc. for cleaning the house; instead of spending $15 on a single broom at a department store or grocery store. Maybe they won't last as long (although they have for me) but you can buy 10 for the price of one so it doesn't really matter. Long story short, this is a great place to go for some good, cheap basics.

Store is pretty decent for being a so called dollar store, the only reason why I say so-called is because the price of everything in the store is like $1.25 per item and not $1.00 like they once was. Everytime I go there to this location the employees are always putting out new products so that is always a plus. This store used to get better products then what they get now, there are several of these locations like the 1 on Gessner which I believe is a little bit cheapier with a little bit different and better products, but the best 1 I think is the 1 on Bellaire and Hwy.6 they have lots of stuff and it's bigger than the other 2 and it is also the cheapest they are $1.09 per item plus tax of course just like all the other store's charge tax I don't want any miscommunication with the price points. The 1 on Bellaire is also the best store to go if you are looking for school supplies since school just started or you just like pens like I do. Happy shopping and good luck on some deals it is a little farther from the westchase & memorial area but well worth the drive cause there are also a few other stores that you could hit up for some sales like Fallas Parades, Family Dollar, and Timmy Chan's is there for some lunch!!

The shelves are often packed with nick-nacks and useful hardware (shelving parts, spray paint, wallpaper spray adhesive) and general use (shampoo, toothbrushes, candies, hair dye, candles/scents, Tupperware) items... Though be warned, things bought here aren't the best in quality or consistency of having them, it's all based on what's in stock

This is my local dollar store and I love it. I may have added an extra star because my visits are usually post-margarita at Chavez next door... but there's always tons of great stuff here, as well as some stuff that just makes you laugh. I've bought homewares here, kitchen items, gifts, stationery, food, drinks, garden items, seasonal decorations, you name it. In this branch the service is regular ...... but in the local that is in the Antoine and the pinemont the cashiers closed the doors at 8:30 if supposedly the schedule said that it closed at 8:45 ... and We withdrew and stayed there and later another person went and opened the door for him...and we went later and he didn't want to open it for us. I felt that he was discriminating against us....
