This is an awesome place to catch a festival, live music, art work, or just capture some straight up “cool” photos. Taking a stroll downtown at night is a pretty neat thing. I would recommend stopping by to see this landmark and capture a few other visually appealing sites within the vicinity. It will not disappoint. Enjoy!

Could've been better organized. Sound for each event.. impossible to hear Should've been scheduled separately. Fire starter at 5pm. Plate tossing at 5:30pm and so on

Great public art in the plaza. Nice to photograph during the blue hour on a summer evening. Don't miss the Tire Swing sculpture in the corner of the plaza as well.

Food truck roll out! What a good time. Music, food, people. It was a well behaved event. Check out the vendors in advance and plan your attach early. The best food was overlooked. Be adventurous try something new.!

Love going to the Calder. It's where most of the festivals downtown are. Parking underground at the Government ramp is where we park due to there being electric car chargers

It great to see Calder sculpture in Grand rapids after looking at the Chicago flamingo.. This structure is amazing and place has all the art vibes.

I just recently learned that red symbol is an M. Not sure if this was overthinking from my friend. But it does kinda look M'ish. Great place. Visited for the Hispanic festival and loaded up on Wear Your Curls.. highly recommended products. Let her know Bella sent you.

Awesome Calder sculpture in an appropriate setting. Few people know he also painted a mural on the roof of one of the buildings on the square too. How cool. Can only really see it from the air or from a taller building nearby.

It's just a big red metal statue in the middle of a cement pad. Not much to it kinda lame if you have lived in or around Grand Rapids your whole life.

If you are a person who is very into the arts you must stop by and see it. Calder plaza is a large space that commonly is used for artists to display their art during Art Prize and Festival of the Arts.
