We were passing through and didn't have much time and Dana opened up on a Sunday afternoon so we could do our ceramics and leave Monday for Michigan. Dana went above and beyond to accommodate our needs! The experience was awesome and we are 110% happy with our ceramics and how everything went. Thanks again Dana & Greg for helping us make this happen!

I wanted to recreate a tree like I remember my Grammy having when I was a child. I also wanted to create memories with my girls. We had the most wonderful time at the studio. The owner was wonderful. She made suggestions for us on colors and glazes and shared her knowledge of ceramics with us. We all found many more projects that we want to do and will most certainly be going back!

My mom and I recently visited Half Moon Pottery while she was in town visiting. This is the best pottery & ceramic studio we have visited. There is a wide variety of unique pieces to choose to paint and very friendly/helpful owners. The owner even made sure to fire our pieces very quickly in time for my mom to be able to bring hers home from her trip. We had a fantastic time and would recommend to anyone.

I had an amazing experience! Everyone was very nice and worked well with my 2.5yr old. The plates we had made for Christmas came out beautiful, and were ready for pickup the next day! There is a very good selection to paint/ create. We'll definitely be back soon!

I enjoy coming to paint pottery with the couple Mr and Mrs Greg and Dana they know alot about pottery and are very nice and kind and give alot of tips. The environment is great. I always smile and have fun when there. I had fun painting these two items. One day I would like to take a throwing class with them :)

Best pottery place around! We’re new down here from NY and Dana and Greg made me feel like family from the moment I walked in! I took the 6 week pottery wheel class and learned the process of throwing the clay all the way to firing and then glazing. I then painted a few pieces of ceramics that I was able to give as gifts. I LOVE my pieces! Greg is a great teacher with a special gift of patience towards his students and Dana is incredibly artistic, encouraging and always makes you feel at home. I can’t wait to go back <3

I can’t say enough great things about this experience! My family and I were together for the holidays and decided we wanted to make vintage Christmas trees. Dana was so helpful in answering my questions prior to making our reservations. She made our decision to do this very easy. Once we met her, Brenda and Greg, the fun began! Her stock is unlike anything we had ever seen! She has anything and everything! Her and Brenda were hands on and more than helpful through our entire time with them. We all cannot wait to come back! Half moon Ceramics is 1 hour from where I live and it is worth the trip everytime. I could stay there all day looking at all of the many many bisque pieces to choose from. Half Moon Pottery & Ceramics is my happy place! I love going there. Dana and Greg are fantastic people. Their home studio business is very comfortable and full of fabulous ceramic pieces. I have not seen so many choices of bisque ceramics in my life (and I was around for the ceramics explosion of the 1970s!) I feel like a kid in a candy shop when I am there! Dana has vintage to modern molds, including many classic and hard to find Christmas trees! My daughter and I have been taking wheel throwing classes with Greg. He is a very patient, supportive, and talented instructor. We love our classes and hope to take more. The classes are reasonably priced so I don't feel strapped paying for them out of my single mother's income. I highly recommend Half Moon Pottery & Ceramics. Dana and Greg are great and I love my times at their studio. If you like painting or glazing ceramics or want to learn to throw pottery on the wheel, give them a call. You won't be disappointed!!

So the other reviews speak truthful that the prices are amazing! They have thousands of ceramic molds, quite endless it seems! And they always seem to be finding more for their shop! Outside the fantastic prices and selection is the amazing people they are! I've never left the shop feeling frustrated or annoyed, quite the opposite! I’m going to be honest this will be kind of biased because I've known them for more than a year. I don’t only consider them to be my artistic mentors, but my family as well. They have helped me grow in ways that therapy never could. We have shared a table as we ate donuts together. I have learned so much and have definitely been inspired by them. They are my answered prayer. Dana and Greg have helped me gain patience and confidence. From making “meditating mugs” to making these amazing pitchers. It took a lot of time and effort. We laughed together and learned together. I came in prepared to master the details of pottery, but instead I came out realizing that you build yourself up from your past mistakes. What really matters is that you get back up. Especially when Greg is there to remind you that “It’s just dirt” and to learn from your mistake and move on. He will give you the tools you need. We have watched instructional videos, read magazines, and they have even let me borrow some pottery books that the library doesn’t have. Dana is a master at hand building so if you have any questions even with glazes they are always happy to share what they know. This is the greatest place I have found since I moved to SC 25 years ago. There are thousands of pieces to choose from at more than competitive prices. The owner is so knowledgeable and can do just about anything to make your piece a one of a kind. It's great to make things for yourself but more fun to start making your Christmas gifts. The people are very friendly and you always meet new ones. It is so much fun to relax and have great fellowship. I would not go anywhere else! Thank you Half Moon for being there!

We've been enjoying the fun and relaxing atmosphere at Half Moon Pottery for a few years now. The owner/operators are on site and are an excellent source for information and help. We've taken a beginning handbuilding class that was exceptional and very enjoyable. We always marvel at the variety of items to choose from in the studio; whether one is glazing or doing acrylics there is something that will catch your eye! Spending an afternoon in the studio creating your own masterpiece is an experience all in itself. 5 stars for this one based on the quality of product and the fabulous owners who are dedicated to ensuring a great experience for their customers.
