Fantastic. We did The Heist first, it was a group of 4 of us. And man, without giving away any spoilers it was an absolute blast from beginning to end. We did beat it, with 54 seconds left. 2/4 it was their first ever escape room. In fact, we had so much fun we bought Gold Rush as soon as we were done (There's an instant replay discount). Gold Rush was just as fun, but slightly easier, we had 8 and a half minutes left. I'd recommend doing Gold Rush first, for first timers. But both of them are multi-room. They allow a maximum of 8 players, but honestly that seems like a lot. 3-5 seems like the perfect sized group for this stuff. Destani and Peyton were fantastic as our guides. Didn't give us hints when we didn't need them and even when they gave us hints, they were vague enough to where we still had to think for sometime before getting the correct "answer" to the puzzle. Highly highly recommend it.

My cousins brought this place up because we were supposed to go with my brother last year. Unfortunately he passed away so we had to go without him. Well I told this story to the staff and not only did they make sure we had an amazing special experience AND give store credit for what he initially paid for, they got us flowers for my brother who couldn’t make it. Absolutely loved it! We did museum heist and gold rush in one night. There was a surprise card and balloons that all of the game masters signed for our 1st wedding anniversary in our second room. 10/10 will brag about this forever.

YOU MUST DO THIS! This Escape Game company is certainly one of the best! We got hooked from the first room and we just have to finish all 5 rooms. All the rooms are technologically advanced, challenging and the puzzles just make sense. Our favorite room is The Heist, but Prison Break is also very interesting. Special shout out to Michael and Cody for an awesome experience. Michael is very accommodating and considerate (one time one of our players can’t make it and he gave us store credit - this actually made us book two more adventures right after the game). Cody is cool and fun. Everyone is just so nice! The Chicago experience is made better by the Escape Game. Definitely a must do!!!

The Gold standard of Escape Games!! 3 couples - 3 games - because we loved it so much!! We booked 1 game and was offered a discount for a 2nd game on the same day and then after the 2nd game we got better discount for 3rd game in the same day. Why did we do 3 games in one day? Because the level of detail, the creativity of the puzzles , and the challenge of critical thinking skills that was required. This is not your ordinary, run of the mill escape game. There are multiple rooms, hidden surprises and even some items that are just hidden in plain site. The staff was just amazing and they really paid attention to us. The puzzles in each game were different and unique. They aligned very well with the theme. We felt like we were the only ones in the place even though it was very busy. One of the challenges that we had was trying to connect the different items/ codes/ sequences to solve the puzzles. We are thankful for the 3 free hints. It saved us when we hit a wall. I’m from Ohio and drove to Chicago with some friends just to do this escape game and ended up doing 3! If you’re in the area or planning a trip to Chicago, this is an experience your will not forget. You will not be disappointed. You are immersed in the story and embody the character your supposed to play! Thank you escape game staff for an awesome and amazing experience.

Izzy welcomed me and my partner so warmly. It was a very good vibe right when we walked in. Went here for me and my partners 2 year anniversary. Mission to mars was high tech. You get one hr to find power, oxygen and communication. Zak was our helper during this trip to mars and helped when he knew we were struggling. unlimited about of hints and he was nice enough to give us extra time! They also gave us a nice card for our anniversary! will be coming back!

Great experience! As a team building activity with coworkers, it was a great way to get out of the office and do something non-work-related and have a great time! Zak was also a great guide throughout the experience! He made sure we didn’t waste too much time on stuff we already used for clues, and when I asked a silly question about the other team from our office, he totally humored me. I loved it, and I think the rest of our team/office did, too! Would totally recommend others try it, and I’ll definitely go back and check out other rooms!

Jonah was super friendly and a great host. Explained everything super clearly and didn’t make the hints too obvious - it was just enough for us to still figure out and get through. Our group of 7 did prison break, their hardest room and escaped with a few minutes to spare. Super fun and would definitely come back!

I just finished The Heist and it was a great room with some good puzzles! Dynamic Dave was our guide and he was super nice and funny. I’ve done a few other rooms here, too, and they’re all great as well. Definitely worth doing if you want a great room!

This was tremendous fun for my brother-in-law’s birthday celebration! The whole party had a great time, even those who didn’t have much confidence going into the escape room. Very cool themes (Mars mission, prison, special ops, etc.) with lots of detail adding to the overall experience! Destiny was extremely helpful assisting our party solve the puzzle with just enough of information in each hint to get us to the next phase when needed!

Zach was great controlling the escape room, and the room itself was very detailed and immersive, especially with a fun twist of scenery and mood halfway through. The puzzle itself was fun to solve, and the perfect level of difficulty. The only complaint I have is that the rooms are pretty linear, so there were many times where one person was working on something, and everyone else was just sort of watching them. Besides that though, the rooms were very well done

Myself and three others did the Gold Rush escape room and we absolutely loved it! It was difficult, but not too much where we were completely stuck. Our game master Zak did an amazing job of guiding us through the room while we were stuck and he was incredibly nice as well! I would highly recommend visiting.

I and a group of friends did the “Heist” game and it was quite intense lol. We had so much fun doing this and Nathan our guide was very helpful throughout the game. And it was awesome to finally win with less than 20secs left of our time. 10/10 recommend. We did gold rush and our host was Riley. Fantastic host and staff is super friendly. And they convinced us to try a harder level the same day. 4 of us were able to solve gold rush with 7 minutes to spare. Definitely a good time!

Destiny has helped set us up with our escape room today and she was Incredibly sweet and informative throughout our entire experience! We had chosen the gold rush game tonight which was fun and everything worked properly. Whenever we had a question Destiny was quick to answer and accommodated us despite having a few late players in our group. Definitely would be coming back again to try out the last room.

The Escape Room Chicago is the best place to do an escape room! They are so much fun and so detailed that you can redo the same room months later and not remember everything. This was the fourth time I’ve done an escape room at EGC and it never gets old. My family and I went on my birthday and did Prison Break. We loved it so much, we reserved another room next week! And it doesn’t stop at the rooms. The staff really makes this place #1! They all seem like they love working there and want the customers leaving happy. Brandon was our hint guide and he really made the whole experience wonderful. Don’t sleep on this. Get off your phones and solve some puzzles!

Great atmosphere! We did the Heist escape room and had a blast! We really felt that it was medium level difficulty to figure out the clues and I do really like all the ideas and thoughts they put into creating this escape room. We had the game on the original market. The design is nice and the location prepared with much detail. The assistance was thoughtful. However the game was a bit worn and two mechanics were not functioning well anymore so that the assistance staff had to come in to fix it.

Amazing experience at the The Escape game with our host Marcus ! I went with my office team mates and played the Mission Mars quest! We won! Hehehe but I would’ve rated them high even if we hadn’t won 🥇 Interesting puzzles, he gave us clues only if we were being silly or asked upfront so that didn’t dampen the fun 🤩. Did 2 rooms here on a whim while visiting and it was fun. Well designed puzzles with one slight hiccup with a props malfunction. My God son and some of my family had the pleasure of participating in the Escape Game for the "Prison Break" escape game a week ago. It has a challenge level of 9 out of 10 and I can definitely say that it gives you a run for your money! We were hosted by Marco- he was tremendously exceptional, FUN, engaging, professional and a hoot! He was personable, friendly and there if you made need assistance. Our group was broken up into two groups, placed in a cell each. Your goal is to work with the members of your group in your cell AND you must communicate with the team in the other cell to work separate but together to figure out clues given. That part was SUPER EXCITING! Once both groups can creatively bust out of your cells, you come together as one to navigate through other rooms. You must "pay attention " to your clues, use whats given as your journey will depend on being able to get to what I thought was the most challenging room- the Inmates Reading Room! Keep in mind as you are giggling with histeria because one in your group is truly just taking up space (lol) that the time is ticking away. The 9 out of 10 level of difficulty is spot on, but remember, as your group is navigating, waiting to assist with a "clue" if you feel you may need it is Marco!!! He is engaged with your group hoping you can succeed! He is the go to guy! I would highly recommend you treat yourself and your friends and family to a hilarious, ENGAGING, different kind of satisfying time! The Escape Game is FANTASTIC, easy to book, clean, neat , and fun place to be! It won't disappoint. By the way, we were successful - we "BROKE OUT OF PRISON with 3:43 seconds to spare!

Escape Game is the best escape experience! This was our third visit. We escaped from Mars after successfully restoring our oxygen, communication and power supplies and arrived safely back on earth. Great for teens through adults. Our group of seven was just the perfect size for problem solving and teamwork. The sets and the story are incredible. Highly recommend it!

Movie set quality rooms with well engineered puzzle triggers. Lots of fun! Michael was our game guide today and we couldn’t have escaped The Heist without him. Highly recommended!

I ended up doing a room by myself because there was a no-show. The staff was great. Gave me lots of different options and encouraged me to go through it anyway. Although clearly in regular use, (some wear and tear) the room was top notch and the atmosphere was exciting. You could tell lots of thought had gone into setting up the puzzles in the space. The staff made the experience. Lots of fun.

See update below. Stoked with how this all turned out. Initial post: Deeply disappointing. Game was not reset properly. Several elements were non functional (first keypad, vacuum puzzle, switchboard, door to final room, hatch release for wall stash). Others were already cleared. Manager left his reset keychain in the room, but it was not clear that it was not an element in the game. Front desk refused to accommodate with refund or comp’ed room. Update: I was promptly contacted by the corporate office shortly after posting my one star review. They were very apologetic and very accommodating. My group will be returning for another room. Updating to 3 stars with a hope to change to 5 after we return for another try. Update: Updating to 5 stars - Just finished our Mars Mission Escape and Loved it! Well conceived, well constructed, great design. Very high quality escape experience. Complete 180 turn around from our initial experience. 5 out of 5 - would recommend the Escape Game in Chicago. Our thanks to the staff and management for a great experience.

We had a lot of fun during our time at the escape room. We came in as a couple of teams and we had a friendly banter going on between the 2 teams to see if we could escape. One of the rooms we did was Mission Mars which was all digital and the other one was Special Ops which was a mix of analog and digital. The quality of this room was better than the one that I have done in the past. Payton was a great host that nudged us along and explained the process of how the room worked.

Hints were perfect at leading us the right way but not just telling us what to do. It was an absolute blast thanks to Marcus and I can’t thank him enough, there just are not enough words in the world!!! Truly everyone was extremely kind. Even from the front desk, Adrian made sure he answered every question we had and was super helpful in us booking another another room for tomorrow because we can’t wait to go again:) We did the heist and would recommend it especially if you’re scared of the dark, it looked like the brightest of rooms. I really appreciated that you don’t need any background information, really everything you need to know is in the room itself. It’s super safe and you can leave whenever you want but at the same time it gives you this rush of adrenaline like if you’re in your own movie 20/10 incredible experience!

All I can say is Wow! These guys were SOOOOO awesome. We loved the atmosphere and the rooms so much that we did three rooms back-to-back and came back the next day to hit up a fourth room! We were fortunate enough to have a different game master with each room and I'm so glad we did because all of the staff was great. They cheered us on, helped us out, and genuinely provided us with laughs and tips about our trip in between rooms. I've been to many escape rooms across the country (including this company's Nashville location...which is the ONLY reason we didn't complete Chicago's last room as I had done it in Nashville) and this group was the best group of team members that I've ever come across and they seem to actually enjoy each other. Amazingly fun! Some friends and I visited The Escape Game while on vacation, and we ended up coming back two more times over the next few days with more friends. Patrick, Tristan, and Destiny were all awesome game guides and did a great job giving us hints without spoiling the answer. Each room's theming is great and the set design is awesome! Lots of cool aesthetic details in the Gold Rush room made it really feel like a frontier, awesome spice smells in the Moroccan market area in Special Ops, and the interactive digital displays and space theming of the Mars mission were right out of Mass Effect. Loved the sense of accomplishment as we solved each puzzle and lots of areas had great adrenaline-pumping moments without ever being scary or claustrophobic. No solutions felt cheap or impossible; even when we had help it was "oh, that was so obvious!" rather than "how the heck were we supposed to figure that out?" Super friendly staff were always happy to chat with us about behind-the-scenes trivia, and if our trip had been longer, we'd have absolutely come back for the last two rooms we didn't get to. Recommend without reservation!

Our guide was helpful, but overall experience is moderate, since rooms art heist is poorly designed. Enjoy using the same item several times, or being present with multiple code panels. It is sad, that person have to solve problems that could have been fixed by creating a good ux and testing at the first place.

We did 4 escape rooms on our spring break vacation: Special Ops, Prison Break, Mission Mars, and The Heist. The rooms are beautifully themed! I personally loved the prison break and special ops rooms. These two rooms were much more tactile. My husband loved the mission Mars room which was very tech based. We previously did Gold a Rush in Dallas and we loved the theming and how linear the puzzles are. It’s great for more novice players and the kids love the theming. The Escape Game is on of the best escape rooms we have visited!

Highly recommend! We were in town for a "siblings" weekend and all of us have played some sort of Escape Game in the cities we are from, but this was our favorite. The Spec Ops game was challenging and a lot of fun (though we did have a few technical glitches that required assistance to fix). We had a group of 9 and beat the game with 12:23 to spare. The whole staff was awesome and I am very happy with the overall experience.

It was such a fun experience! We chose gold rush and almost escaped, we were so close... really, breathtaking and fascinating game. You are so much engaged , time flies! I’d love to come back to Chicago at least to try to escape one more time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The game was very well organized. So if it’s your first time, start with less complicated challenges. We chose 7/10 and almost made it. Though it was our first experience. We were a bit disappointed, we could make if we had couple more minutes. So make sure you don’t take prison brake for your first visit 😂 thank you so much for fun challenges and amazing time!

Loved the room we played! This place seems kinda unsuspecting at first, but I really enjoyed the puzzles and more high tech aspects of the behind the scenes stuff (I don't want to spoil the room). The game was fairly challenging, maybe more so because the group we were paired with took longer to solve certain puzzles. We finished the special ops mission with a minute or 2 to spare. It was great overall though, and I look forward to trying another room my next trip to Chicago!

We’ve done plenty of escape rooms, but this was our favorite experience. Destiny was super-helpful with some clues at just the right time and was fun to celebrate with at the end when we escaped. 5 stars!

The Escape Game in Chicago is so fun! I’ve been here about three times and every game has been awesome. Destiny was fantastic and definitely helped us out a lot with the clues and the explanations before the game. 10/10 would come back!
