Expert Home Inspectors inspected a home I was getting ready to purchase. They combed through every inch of the house in great detail. Their inspection uncovered a lot of issues that helped us avoid the house, saving us tons of money in repairs, and highlighted some safety issues that I would not have noticed myself. They were extremely professional, thorough, and worked in a very safe manner. Their report was very well documented and constructed so that it is easy to read. They also provide helpful recommendations on how to proceed with each item they highlight. They also have some of the best cost around. I will be using them for every house until we make a purchase.

I was in the process of purchasing a home and needed an inspection. After asking around I was referred to Austin at Expert Home Inspectors Inc. I called on a Tuesday and requested a Saturday morning appointment. Austin arrived a few minutes early and promptly began the inspection. I got a thorough inspection but my only complaint is that the advertising of price is contradictory. The price for a Single Family House says the price is $299 but I was charged $450. I should have viewed the the their website and asked questions before agreeing to having the home inspection done.

Austin went above and beyond to make sure I got the inspection completed on an REO property we had under contract. He had a ton of patience (I called and rescheduled twice trying to figure out when the bank would have all utilities on), he answered every call, was so understanding and accommodating. He arrived 45 minutes earlier than our inspection time which was 10am and didnt finish until about 12:30 for a 1300sq ft house with basement so almost 3 hours. He was extremely thorough and talked my husband through the items he was finding as he was finding them. There is no doubt about it that Expert Home Inspectors deserves 5 stars. Not only was our inspector verify responsive while setting up our inspection but he did a fantastic job during the inspection. I planned on arriving before our inspector, however, upon arrival he was already on site conducting outside inspections. The entire inspection lasted a couple hours and was very thorough. Our inspector not only pointed out issues and explained things DURING the inspection but also went over everything again once inspection was complete. The report was also made available to me later that day which included pictures of all his findings and detailed explanations of everything as well. I will definitely hire Expert Home Inspectors again during my home purchasing journey.

I needed a next-day appointment for a home inspection due to my limited availability for the upcoming week. I talked to Austin on a Thursday afternoon and he was able to schedule a 10a appointment for the following day. He was there at 9a, an hour early, and already completed the majority of the external inspection by the time I arrived. He explained everything in details after the inspection. We decided to back out of the house afterwards as repair cost would be enormous for everything that was found. Great price, excellent service. Will use them again for my next property inspection since I’m back to looking for a house again. Ps. The inspection lasted about 2 hours. Asem arrived before me and was inspecting the exterior of the house when I arrived. So I guess the actual inspection would be around 2 and half hours.

Asim came an hour early to inspect the outside of the building. When the Sellers realtor showed up she tried pushing him all over the place doing different things and breaking up his routine. He did his best to go with the flow but I could see that it made his job more difficult to have someone telling him he had to leave and go to another unit and then leave again and go to get another unit. All in all though he was thorough and answered all my questions. He worked with tenants who are not very happy to be inspected. He was very knowledgeable about what he was doing and gave us great suggestions. He worked quickly and seem to have very modern software on his iPad . And that meant that we got the report just a few hours after he completed the inspection. It was a hundred and sixty something pages of an inspection report. Mind you there were a lot of pictures but the pictures had been annotated with arrows. I would strongly recommend expert home inspectors not only because he's extremely competent but because he's also price competitive. My only concern was that his office is in Logan Square but he says he lives out of state. That was a little disconcerting because I did want someone who was local.

To make a long story short after tge flood it was discovered that there were alot of undisclosed issues with the house. Going forth witj a lawxsuit I needed a second inspection.
