Reviews of New England Aquarium
Zoe O'Haillin-Berne
Overall, this is a really nice aquarium. The primary wow factor is realizing it's virtually all contained in one large atrium with a spiral walkway up the center and an open-air penguin exhibit across the entire bottom of the room. I love penguins, so being able to see them up close and from slightly above with no glass between us was really fascinating. I also loved the seal and sea lion exhibits being outside (yet covered). It adds a more natural feel to the area, which I'm sure the animals enjoy.
I think my only complaint would be that it seems a little small for the ticket price, especially compared to other aquariums across the country. If you purchase a combo pass with other attractions, I'm sure it's a better value. However, all that being said, I was impressed with the number of displays they were able to fit into the space. They made good use of the building's height. I could have probably spent hours watching the center tank - especially the giant sea turtle!

A fantastic aquarium and easily walkable from our hotel. We came here in the afternoon after doing a Duck Tour in the morning. We have been several times and my husband and I agree that the penguin exhibit at the entrance is the most memorable aquarium entrance we both remember. It is worth walking the four floors up and then following the huge tank down the ramp in the middle of the museum. We also enjoyed the sea lion area outdoors.

Three stars as I went with great expectations. I expected the aquarium to be big, have shows and more exhibits. After been to sea world, I was expecting to see more interactive programs that educate about marine life, how it's in danger and more variety of the marine life. It's good but not great. Approx. 2-3 hours are sufficient to cover entire aquarium with a break for snacks at a very relaxed pace.

The New England Aquarium was amazing! From how clean it was, to how orderly it was organized! The staff was fun, inactive and knowledgeable! The bathrooms were spotless. Gift shop prices were reasonable with some proceeds going back into conservation and rehabilitation of sea life! 10/10 would recommend to anyone, especially with kids. Plenty of room to move around with a stroller, elevator access to all floors.
Seriously considering becoming a member here!

My family and I had a fantastic time here! The tickets are a little pricey but it was definitely worth it. The aquariums were lovely with diverse options. There was also a sting ray tank that allowed people to touch the sting rays which was wonderful. The bathrooms are clean and well-kept. There are rental lockers for coats and other accessories for only 5-7 dollars. 10/10 would recommend, especially for families with smaller children!!

Such a great time. Tickets were so simple to buy online, parking was simple and convenient and only a quick 2 minute walk from the aquarium. Staff was very professional, polite, and filled with information on the exhibits. And the exhibits in marine life were awesome and fun to watch and learn about. I believe it's children three and under are free. In my one-year-old daughter had a blast

We went on a Wednesday and it was pretty busy but, decent room to move around. The concept of the enormous single tank with a wrap around spiral is pretty cool. As you walk up each level has additional tanks and exhibits around. Nice to see a giant octopus on exhibit, definitely my favorite. Some cool infographics around, geared more towards conservation rather than just stats. Nice to see the creatures with large areas of space to live. The penguins have a lot of space and the open air exhibit is unique at least in the aquariums I've visited. Definitely recommend a visit if you're in the area and enjoy sea life.

As a fan of the film Next Stop Wonderland, the New England Aquarium was a must-see during my visit to Boston, and it did not disappoint! The aquarium offers a AAA discount and a university discount. Upon entering, I turned to the left to the sting ray petting experience and shark exhibit. This was the first of multiple stops where aquarium staff were on hand to share information and answer questions, which was great! I appreciated the washing station, too. The shark exhibit was interactive and engaging. I could go on about the multiple exhibits and aquariums in the main building, but the jewel of this Aquarium is the enormous, multi-story tank featuring sea turtles, schools of fish, and the scuba divers feeding them. I suggest calling ahead to find out when the feeding time will be so that you don’t miss it! See if you can find the small Puffer fish in that large tank; it’s not easy, but worth seeing that friendly little face! 😊 if you turn to the right as you enter the main space, you will find a flashlight attached to the railing that allows you to play with the penguins! They enjoy swimming after that light (which is in a fish shape) just like a cat chases a laser!

Really enjoyed this aquarium! I've been to many different aquariums; New England stood out because they created many different environments that were truly natural to the species they were trying to preserve. The penguins were extremely entertaining; there were 3 different species that each had their own environment which allowed them to behave naturally. Would highly recommend a visit!

This place is fantastic, my niece and nephew loved it. They loved seeing the penguins and how they interact with each other. The sea lions were very cool to look at. The central tank is amazing with many different types of fish and large turtles, it is like a mini reef. I also liked seeing the bioluminescent jellyfish and fish. The fish and other animals were very easy to spot within the exhibit. The information next to the exhibit was good to read. I hope this place continues to flourish for many years to come.

Cute aquarium. I’ll lay out the pros and cons to help anyone visiting Boston for a few days decide whether coming here is worth it or not.
Cons:
I wasn’t a fan of layout of the building itself and the flow between exhibits was kind of awkward. Also, the touch tanks (ie where the sharks and rays are) are right at the entrance and easy to pass by when you enter. If you go into the gift shop before seeing that area you won’t be able to come back in without showing your ticket again which is kind of annoying.
The ticket price was also kind of expensive for the size of the aquarium ($34) considering there isn’t that much to see and you’ll probably spend 1.5-2h there at most. The gift shop has only a few items with the cute logo on it and the rest have tacky clip art on them that you wouldn’t even be able to tell came from this specific aquarium. They should at least put Boston on there or something.
Pros:
Some of the habitats are so creatively curated, from the shape of the glass to the way they planted the vegetation, it’s all very pleasing to the eye. If you go in the morning you can see the animals being fed which is extra entertaining. They all seem happy especially the turtles who you can see love to be handled by the marine biologists. All staff is friendly and open to answering questions. If you have small kids and came with a stroller they have elevators and a ramp that goes all the way around the building so you can walk around easily without missing anything.
Crystal Kirkirt
Took the kids on a day they had off school expecting it to be VERY crowded, but it wasn't. This was most likely due to COVID capacity restrictions, but it was a pleasant surprise nonetheless. We were able to stroll through easily and there was almost no wait to look at all the things we wanted. More places to sit down on the upper floors would be helpful; little feet get tired quickly. The gift shop and food court were reasonable.
Tiffany N. Arango
Awesome views and structural setup at this aquarium. Loved how we walked one direction and down a different scenery to leave.
My husband and I went on a Sunday shortly after they opened (after our Duck Tour), and it was pretty crowded. We then wondered if it would've been better to go on a weekday.
I loved Murtle the Turtle 🤩 She's probably 90 years old and gave us a little swimming show.
Ili F
Very fun aquarium, I really enjoyed watching the penguins without a glass. The giant tank in the middle is quite impressive, they managed to make good use of the space. The sea lion exhibit was interesting, but I kind of wished we could see them being fed, as they are very cheeky and fun when they are. The ray and shark touch tank was a lot of fun! Overall a really nice if a little small aquarium.
Kianna H
A super cool aquarium! The layout of the building is very fun with the giant spiral center. I love the amount of penguins and sea lions and seals that you can see way up close! The touch tank is a little underwhelming, but it's a nice place to chill by. Also, the sea dragons there are the coolest! I've never seen them anywhere else before.
Chiara Secco
The Boston Aquarium is simply wonderful! There are different species alive and very well cared for by the aquarium staff! There are different rooms in this space. Rooms with smaller marine animals like rays, as well as larger rooms with penguins, sharks and an 89-year-old giant tortoise! There is also a space outside with seals that give a show of diving and jumping! Wonderful space, clean, very well organized and with lots of information everywhere you look. On the walls where it is possible to access the top of the larger aquarium it is possible to see smaller species such as shrimps and a giant octopus that is camouflaged in one of the aquariums for having many species it is almost not noticeable its presence, but when you find it you wonder : but how did I not see this giant octopus? Very funny and interesting the way you learn about marine animals in the aquarium! I highly recommend taking the children to watch the seal's shows and their excellent handlers. There is no parking at the aquarium, there are other paid parking lots nearby and if you arrive early you can find metered parking on the street. Tickets can be purchased on site and on the website!
Caitlin Campbell
I enjoyed my time here but just didn’t think this aquarium was worth the money. I was hoping there would be more exhibits and diversity of wildlife. Maybe it’s different in the summer but I would’ve loved to see a dolphin, sea lion or otter show. We went on a super busy day which also made the experience less enjoyable, it was difficult to even get a good view of some of the exhibits. I think they cap off the amount of people in at a time but I still think there was way too many especially since everyone moves in the same path up the atrium. It was alright for a cloudy afternoon but I’ve definitely been to much nicer aquariums.
Leonard Caponegro
We had an amazing time at the New England Aquarium. As we slowly walked up the spiral staircase we enjoyed observing the fish in their natural habitat. When we reached another floor we also took the time to view the other displays that provided further insight to sea creatures and wildlife from around the world. A very fascinating experience. Later we went to the theater to see the various films about animal odysseys. That was fascinating as well.
Ash Ley
Cute for kids or just a date. It’s the perfect size for them and easy to navigate since it’s just a big circle. It seems that they really care for their animals which is so important. Cleaning and feedings constantly. The fish and penguins and everything is incredible. A little pricey for the space but if it goes to the animals I’ll take it. That center tank is the main attraction of course absolutely beautiful.
Lupa Aguilar
I had such an incredible experience. I am so happy that I decided to come to the aquarium. It’s the perfect size, not too big or small, and there are plenty of different species of animals. The staff was really nice and my favorite part was touching the sting rays.
Amanda E
Had a great time. Took us about 1.5 hours leisurely strolling to get through the whole thing. Lots if great information with the displays. Not too crowded. Love how you can see the penguins from lots of different angles and viewpoints.
Terra Fulmer
My husband & I chose to visit the aquarium this morning to stay out of the rainy weather. Although the aquarium was crowded, we enjoyed our time there. The aquarium has a very unique layout. There are lots of animals to see & learn about. The penguins were most definitely my favorite! The ticket prices seemed reasonable for the experience. We parked in the parking garage near the aquarium & it is definitely over priced. Overall, we had a great time!
Elizabeth Thompson
It's a bit pricey and it's difficult to find parking in the heart of the city. That being said, they have a very cool cylindrical tank going up all the way to the ceiling. It was cool to see all the different animal feeding times and at one point you could see two workers in scuba gear in the large tank. The sting ray touch tank was a big highlight.
Beau Fleurs
Not as good as some of the other big cities. Still fun, but missing some of the more regular main attractions you would be used to seeing at a bigger city Aquarium (sharks, eels, dolphins, whales, larger sea life). The biggest thing they have is a large sea turtle. Beautiful, but just not a huge band for your very expensive buck. Biggest draw is the four floor tall aquarium tank in the center.
Tal Caine
Wonderful aquarium! The animals are treated well and are all healthy and safe. Staff are knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. Reasonably priced, a cute gift shop and a cafe with a view over the harbor. Great place for families and tourists. Say hi to the penguins for me!
Heather Travels
This aquarium reminded us a lot of the National Aquarium in Baltimore, just on a slightly smaller scale. The location is terrific. It was most interesting to watch the staff interacting with and caring for the animals. It would have been nice to have more signs and more staff or volunteers posted on different levels to answer questions. We enjoyed our the theater film on turtles too.
Nataliya Pylypiv
It was very easy to get tickets online, no waiting at the entrance, although it was quite crowded inside. Penguins were adorable, as well as seals and the big aquarium in the center is quite nice too. I really liked the information boards and possibility to watch feeding of the rays.
Nan Arm
Highly recommend buying tickets online and getting there right when they open. Within half an hour it was very crowded, but totally worth it. So many things to see and learn here. The penguins and sea lions were delightful and I especially loved learning about the different environments certain fish live and thrive in. Really liked the sea horses and jelly fish exhibits.
Laurie Bostian
Immediately fell in love with the penguins. And the animals seemed healthy and well cared for. Environments were very clean. Signs throughout were very informative/educational. There was sufficient space (at least on a Thursday in summer) for people to enjoy the aquarium without feeling like they were right on top of each other. We got in late and were actually hoping to grab a snack, but the cafe closed rather early, which was a disappointment. Both beverage machines were out of order, which didn't help matters on a hot day when we needed refreshment. I also thought the price of entry was steep, though we took advantage of the GoCity Boston pass and that helped.
All-in-all I'd recommend.
Michailah Williams
4/5 stars because I wasn't super impressed with the overall offerings of live species.
I do love the design of the aquarium and the overall feel when you walk in to the penguin exhibit.
I've been to some great aquariums and I missed the sharks and the sea otters and in Oregon they even had an orca-which happened to be in the movie, Free Willy. Although that was years ago they still have a fantastic exhibit with many more species.
I don't want to be too harsh of a critic, but I was a bit underwhelmed.
I did enjoy the penguin exhibit, the seals and the big sea turtles.
The feel tank had stingrays alone. It was fine, but many feel tanks usually have starfish and other sea urchins. As well as someone commentating.
It was pretty busy and hard to get good pictures, since everybody else is trying to do the same thing.
Aquarium only:
Adults $34
Children over 3. $25
Seniors $32

There are sea dragons and beautiful jellyfish. The center tank is amazing. The seals are cute. The penguins are friendly and you can pet the stingrays. This place won't hurt your feet, it's not huge like SeaWorld. It's stroller friendly and senior friendly. Great for a date or to take your family.
atom tarragon
A must-visit on any trip to Boston. The Aquarium is beautiful and wonderful and all superlatives rolled into one, when it comes to an educational venue.
Turtles, sharks, penguins, seals, eels, jellyfish, rays you can pet...this place never loses its appeal for me. It's mesmerizing and calming and breathtaking in the diversity of natural beauty. A fascinating treasure of New England.
Expect to spend about 1.5-2 hours here if you really want to take it in and learn about the sea life and ecology; 1 hour even if you visit it like an art museum and let the beauty and color wash over your vision.
Tickets were $32 for adults. Gift shop is not big, but the gifts weren't stupidly expensive either.
Pineapple Boi Draws
Was a bit crowded there, which is understandable since it's summer so alot of kids are out, but besides that this place is pretty amazing! I've gone here ever since I was a little kid and even now I still love this place! Only thing mom family requested was possibly expanding the place and adding even more interesting water animals that aren't just from our oceans here in the Atlantic. They do have a few newer exhibits, but nothing a little more could hurt.
Shonna Caponegro
Loved the layout and our son enjoyed the aquarium. Wish they had a full live shark exhibit like other aquariums we've visited.
I would recommend eating before going. The cafe left a lot to be desired.
Jason Mensinger
Wish it was bigger. No sharks or any larger animals. Just a big circular tank in the middle with penguins at the base and other smaller tanks around the outside. While it was nice and the fish were awesome we found it lack luster. Finished the whole aquarium in like an hour. Was expecting more.
Stacy Whitehead
Caution - very crowded during peak season and when hot. Recommend go early. Parking can be around $40, but reduced with validation inside. Enter into penguins. Great variety! See the 500 pound sea turtle. Great learning areas.
Chase Geeseman
A little on the small side but the aquarium was a good time. There's a lot of cool fish and we got lucky enough to spot a diver in the big tank!
We went on a Saturday and it was a little crowded, so go during the week if you want to avoid people. I did feel at ease knowing that everyone was vaccinated though and am over zealous that they checked my vaccine card at the door.
dj noonan
such a fantastic place to visit, exhibits were well put together, very informative and the central tank is amazing. plenty to do with kids or adults. you can easily spend 2-6 hours perusing the different tanks. tickets prices are about normal for the area but you can find discounted tickets through your local libraries
Nagesh Bvrch
We enjoyed it a lot. I wouldn't say this is the best aquarium. However, if you have not visited any aquarium in any other places like Atlanta, Virginia Beach, Cleveland, Niagara falls etc., this is a best visiting place for the people in and around Boston. If you have been to Atlanta Aquarium this is just one place. Little penguins and center tower three stories water tanks are the best attractions. It's fun for kids for sure.
unknown artist
One of the best aquariums I've ever been too. So much too look at. The giant coral reef with the spiral walkway all the way around it was so cool . Has so many things to look at one every floor. Giant turtle was the best!
Alex Lopes
It's overpriced but still a good option to visit with kids. Easy access from the subway but it can get pretty crowded. The collection is extensive and the main tank with the reef ecosystem in the middle provides some great views. The penguins and seals habitats were great but likely the best part of the visit was to "pet" the many rays in their shallow tank. I would come back here for sure despite the high price.
nivya sharma
A wholesome experience, got to witness a beautiful and vibrant underwater world. Entry and exit was smooth, I loved the unique experience of touching electric rays. The gift shop was another beauty, perfect for kids. I wish they had more animals and some educational sessions going on.
Melissa Lutz
Great place for all ages! The penguins were so fun to watch! Bioluminescent jellies, giant sea turtles, sea horses, and so much more!! You can touch the sting rays and watch the sea lions. Even with timed ticket entry it was very crowded. Take your time and enjoy these magnificent creatures!
Sharon Chiang
Great small aquarium.
It took around 1.5 hours to see everything (we didn’t read every description)
We bought ticket for the movie but there was technical issue so they refund us :(
Love all the stuffs work there. Very welcoming and smiley!
One thing they could improve is the gift shop. There are not many cute things to buy.. a little bit disappointed that we couldn’t buy something cute home.
Christian Still
Very nice aquarium and worth a visit while in Boston. Penguins are a highlight to see and there are plenty over viewing areas to sit and watch them.
All other wildlife is really interesting and the central circle exhibit has so much variety of animals it is hard to even spot them all!
Eric Chatfield
Great aquarium. Def worth a stop. Leave yourself some time for this one. My only complaint is there weren't sharks... They had lil ones but .... Not the same. Can't give it five stars cause it seemed a bit smaller than i expected but still cool.
Tia Whitley
This aquarium is very unique in that there is a penguin exhibit along the entire first floor, then a spiral walk way up with a viewing tank in the center, with each floor having its own tanks as well. The top floor looks down on the center tank, with great views of the turtles.
Outside, the seals were LOVING the attention from passersby, and this visit the touch tank was open. We were able to touch sharks and stingrays, after being able to find a place to stand. It is difficult to walk around here and take your time, just because of the amount of people.
Lynda Glassey
Visited Black Friday with family! Kids loved it! The new Sting Ray tank was amazing and the young ladies who interacted with us were very informative. We always love the penguins and sea lions were adorable, nice to see them swimming in their huge pool!
Dominique Clairoux
Great experience for the whole family. Quite a few species and well maintained. Visit can easily last a couple hours if you don't speed through it and read a bit. Kids were fascinated.
Darrell McDougall
Took the kids here for a nice activity during our vacation. It is pretty pricey but a nice experience. If you are driving pay for parking in advance there is no parking at the aquarium but there are lots of parking lots with in walking distance.
Carina Chu
Had a great time with my family although we arrived almost at closing time. The staff was nice and referred us to the exhibits that were closing first. The big tank was really cool. Start from the top floor if you can and walk your way down. Lots to see. Make sure to pat a stingray!!
justin majeed
It's an OK experience. Can walk through it in maybe 30m. Good for kids. The exhibits are small and in opp sides of the buildings. The center piece is a huge tank surrounded by a spiral walk way
Sara Ansari
I’ve heard it’s smaller than other big city aquariums but the center fish tank, penguin and sea lion exhibits make it all worth it. I’ve gone probably about 4x and love it each time. It’s good to go with young kids and they’ll love the shark/manta ray touch tank.
Food court on the second floor is convenient but the parking garage nearby is expensive and they don’t validate. But worth it purely for the conveniency and bc street parking isn’t an option in the nearby vicinity.
Jeffrey Olivier
Amazing place for the family and another idea to spend quality time. Get there on time, 15 min grace period. If the Cafe inside is closed...they allow you to exit and grab a bite to eat and return to finish the tour at your leisure. Great place for kids of course.
Addie Apa
Lovely aquarium. I spent only 2hrs here & I believe I saw all the exhibits.Beside the sea lion show it was too cold. I spent about $150 at the gift shop and you had to pay for a bag. I believe at that point it should be free. Beside that the exhibits are worth every penny.
Natalie
Great aquarium!! Loads of fish in fun variations with nice tanks. I highly recommend touching the sting rays. They may have done our not Steve Irwin wrong, but these pancakes are completely harmless and slimey in the nicest way
Olin Malone
Should you travel to Boston stop at the Aquarium. The staff were friendly and informative.
During the Covid pandemic they’ve utilized social distancing and hand sanitizer stations as well as a mandatory mask requirement for adults and children (not toddlers) for “safety”.
Toni-Ann Lynch
It was interesting. I saw penguins for the first time. There were so many type of fishes- I even got to see a small shark looking fish eat another fish ( not sure that was suppose to happen). I saw an anaconda. And of course all sections are labeled with information on each animal. I did not love the smell though.
Jeremy Marrotte
The aquarium was pretty cool, my stepdaughter really enjoyed it! I would highly recommend you purchase tickets online ahead of time because of how busy it gets and expect to spend some time looking for a parking spot in a parking garage, which there are several nearby, all not cheap.
Alex Faber
Very good aquarium besides the fact that there were no sharks or very big animals… besides seals and penguins. Interesting to learn about all of the fish and other aquatic life though! Also… for kids they can pet stingrays which was pretty unique
Durgesh Tiwari
Went there yesterday. Although, the website mentioned that they are allowing only 50% of the capacity but still it was too crowded. But at least most of them were in mask. So many verities of aquatic animals are there. Kids enjoyed their visit. The food options (small pizza, French fries, bars and drinks) are there but expensive. It is good to visit once.
santiago correa yacaman
Extraordinary place with an extraordinary mission. Not only does this place allows you to see a larger picture of what we are all part of. It also helps preserve and save endangered species.
The penguins are so gorgeous and adorable. Definitely going back.
Kathleen Leahy
Best Aquarium Ever! The location is awesome, the exhibits are fantastic, and the staff are incredible! This is a great place to take families and visitors to Boston. Before or after your visit to the Aquarium you can walk to all kinds of restaurants, shops and other attractions. We added a Harbor Cruise (right next to Aquarium), then walked to Faneuil Hall and North End. Great day!
Devin M
Had a great time at the New England aquarium. Seems to be if you go first thing in the morning that’s when the least amount of people will be there in my experience. Lots of cool tanks and an amazing sting ray/shark touch tanks.
James Ohrenberger
The Aquarium has lost its mystic and The closure of the tidal pool tanks where you could pick up the starfish, crabs and stingrays. There really isn't much to see or do except the penguins. Especially for 35 something bucks for one adults admission. Thanks to a wonderful organization the tickets we received were gratefully donated to my child and I .
Dana LaCerais
Wow this place was so much more than I expected. It's huge and laid out very well. Everything was clean and well kept. The animals were awesome. Staff was great.
Excellent experience and I very highly recommend it.
Lindsey K
Nice aquarium. Lots for kids to see. Small outside area with seals. Able to pet stingrays and sharks. Large center aquarium with ability to see turtles and many different fish.
Britany Chamberlain
A little small for the price, wish the touch tank was a little bigger for the kiddos, and they really would've loved to see a bigger shark. Even more skeletons of animals would've been cool! Overall a fun trip with the kiddos
Sydney Lyvers
I was very disappointed about the price of this place for how small it was. I have yet to find an aquarium that outshines Newport aquarium on the Ohio/Kentucky border. My kids were able to get through the aquarium in less than an hour. We loved the giant tank in the center of the aquarium though. The turtle seemed very curious about the visitors when they came up to the window.
Shreya
Super cool and fun place to go! We just walked thru and looked at the animals- if you want to read everything there then I would budget 3-4 hours. The main attraction is their huge tank in the middle with a spiral walkway going around it- that was really cool and I could stand there for hours just looking at it. The penguins were awesome too- when we went they were being fed so they were swimming around.
Nio DiPietrantonio
I had so much fun here! So many exotic species to see from penguins and tropical fish to frogs and various turtle species, even an anaconda! A really fun and beautiful adventure for animal lovers everywhere!
James Costanzo
The size of this Aquarium is perfect for kids and toddlers (and of course adults too!). I say that because it's smaller than expected for perhaps an adult, yet it's small enough for your family to "see everything" in one visit without burning out or being overwhelmed.
It's fun, in a great part of town, and we love taking our kids here.
Celina S
It was a beautiful aquarium and I love how there is 4 floors to look at all the different fishies. It was very educational in each section with details on the region the fish is found in. My favorite were the penguins and big tortoise!
Katrina Valuyeva
Great penguin exhibit and I like the tall tank that you observe gradually going up in a spiral. They had a cabinet of marine life curiosities in the manta ray petting room that was fascinating
Vannessa Gallant
Great aquarium. Our kids loved it. What sucked was the amount of people, crammed in, pushing you out of the way and tripping over strollers that are slammed into your legs. They said tickets were timed and entry was limited, due to covid19 and to avoid overcrowding, but it was definitely over-crowded.
The parents allowing their children to beat on the glass (and acting like it was cute behavior) was ridiculous. I know the aquarium cannot control how people behave, but there were no staff in the areas to correct that behavior (even though it is the parents job!!)
The seal tank out front of the aquarium entrance was a great idea! It made our kids even more excited to see the inside.
The stingray touch tank was so much fun! My youngest was nervous at first but was so glad he finally touched one. They had so much personality too!
It's definitely worth the price of admission! There is so much to see and explore.
Charles Trask
Overall this is a really good experience. They've got a lot of really nice well-kept displays. It feels a lot like a lot of other aquariums though, and I won't say that it blew me away but it was very good. It was very crowded when we went but it was a holiday weekend. If it was less crowded I could have spent a lot longer in there for sure.
Nahani Meuse
Amazing! Love the aquarium! We went out for the whale watch cruise today too and we saw more than a dozen humpback whales and dolphins too! It was amazing! Parking garage next door. Accessible. Knowledgeable staff. Gorgeous marine life. Pricing very reasonable.
Kalhari Jayasinghe
The aquarium was ok. Not the best. Aquarium has whale watching cruise. It was really good. Aquarium has one big tank. And they have small tanks around. Big tank is the main icon. If you go to the aquarium take the whale watching tour too. You have to pay sperate for that. But it is very fun. We saw whales. And they explain every thing about whales.
James Beacham
Great small aquarium. Located right on the bay, great views all in walking distance of downtown. We loved the penguins. The big tank is breathtaking. Well worth the visit. Very well designed. Definitely a must if you come to Boston.

An aquarium visit is a great way to spend time in Boston. The facility is well-run and well-kept. Lots of space appears to be available for the animals to roam around in. The penguins are my favorite part! There's a lot of space for them and they're so cute. I like to play I-spy and find the turtles in the big tank (they usually are near the top). The afternoon was enjoyable overall. Visit is definitely worth the price, even if it is a bit expensive
Lee Anne D.
Interesting exhibits with a clean, well-respected feel to it. You can't possibly go here and miss how close it is to all of Boston's major attractions. Definitely a good stop for the family or as part of an evening out in Boston.
Oma Babalola
4 stars for great customer service and reception. Parking was easily accessible. As an adult it was a bit underwhelming for me. I expected a lot more than what I experienced but i must say the kids had a great time. Will definitely still recommend as this is still a great place for family fun activity.
Jay Farris
Really cool aquarium! It’s kept very clean and has a neat layout. The tanks were big enough for the fish and animals inside, and had some cool interactive portions. One of the big perks was the sensory bags that you can borrow that come with noise cancelling headphones, a few stim toys, and communication cards. It made my visit way less stressful so I can enjoy the aquarium :)
Tonya Thompson
It was cool seeing the harbor seals outside of the aquarium as we were getting our tickets. Nice African penguin reef. And a 4 story tank that had a fossilized turtle it looked like when we got to the top of the tank. There's a picture of it. He'd been there a long time it looked like. The other sea turtle was swimming and showing off for my camera. The jellyfish were pretty cool too. It was an ok aquarium but when you've been to the Atlanta aquarium nothing else can compare to the biggest aquarium in the USA. Like I said it was an ok place.
Sakib Santo
Very good place for fun with family & kids. You can see lots of sea animals. Nice place. Have enough parking but pay parking. Good place for time spend.
Mike Swatek
Overall the aquarium is really nice, has a really cool concept of walking around the main tank. However, was a little disappointed with how small the aquarium is for a major city. We currently live in Connecticut and visited the Mystic Aquarium and that was our measuring stick. There isn't a ton of space, if you go on a busy day it can feel a bit cramped.
Kennedy Nwaorgu
This is a small to medium sized aquarium. It has lots of ascending and descending involved to see the animals in it, something to keep in mind if you easily get tired. There aren’t a lot of animals to see here, so can get tad bit boring.
Aubre Rivera
Beautiful aquarium. There are a large variety of fish and other aquatic animals to view. They also have an interactive attraction with stingrays.
Rebecca Lenoir-Capello
A wonderful experience - I love how the aspect of conservation and rescue is present within the whole aquarium, which is one of the main reasons I visited in the first place. Touching rays was also amazing, and the staff was very clear and professional as well as super helpful !
Virginia Joy Underwood
Such a special place. The seals and penguins were my favorite. Overpriced gift shop but the experience the aquarium provided was 5 stars. I had an up close visit from a seal who smiled for me. Loved it!
L. Fong
Lots of colorful fishes. Has seals, penguins, all different size fishesn an orange lobster, live coral, jellyfishes, sea dragon, dwarf shrimp, Octopi & cuttlefish, etc. Huge fish tank. There is a tank where you can actually touch stingrays. Saw( a baby shark in an egg & other sharks, but they were small. Great place to bring the kids.
Pei
5.19.2022 visited NEA. A spiral center aquarium with lots to learn & see. Kids would love this. Bring along your kids and spend a good 2-3 hours exploring this aquarium and learning about sea creatures.
Maria Santiago
I loved it, it's not as big as I thought but the fishes look great they have variety and a lot on information. They only have one kind of penguins wich makes it more alike to the real habitat. The temperature is cool so that's one of the reasons they don't have antartic penguins but African Penguins, those require lower temperatures.
Lee Lee
Im really not to impressed with my experience here. They have very limited exhibits and this museum is not really that big at all. I went this last weekend and I felt that it was way to over crowded, especially during a pandemic. They had some nice salt water fish to obseve. Very limited freshwater exibits. Wish there was a bigger observation with sharks, would have loved to have learned more. On the bright side I enjoyed watching the penguins.
Randol Logan
Lots of things to see and read. The six story salt water display was over the top. The octopus and seals display were very good. It has a good size gift shop.
Malena Trama
Beautiful place! There’s a lot of exhibits and a great variety of sea animals! There was a shark and ray touch tank but it wasn’t open so you couldn’t actually touch them, but you can still see them! They do ask for proof of vaccination to enter.
MOncat
Didn’t realize how old the ship was until got on board. The seats were a bit dirty, ceiling leaking, maintenance needed. Very friendly staff, very helpful and informative broadcast. They knew of almost all of the whales in that area. You can tell these staff/researchers definitely got a lot of enthusiasm/love for them whales. Over all positive experience.
Yan Weixin
There was a public parking lot nearby but we spent $42 just for visiting the aquarium. We saw many cute animals including Seahorses, Penguins, and Jellyfish. You can even touch the shark (Batoids, a kind of squashed shark).
Isa Melvin
We had a great day here. Touching the rays was really neat. The exhibits we're vibrant and the space is laid out well, never too crowded.
jae smith
Love this aquarium. Lots of sea creatures to see. The highlight and the stars were when the penguins turned their backs on their feeder because they didn't like the fish he was feeding them that day.
Elizabeth McIlroy
Great aquarium, penguins are very engaging right when you enter the aquarium, feeding time is always fun to see. I appreciate the balance of educational material available on climate change, endangered species and the animals themselves. They have a touch tank where the employees are very conscious to educate kids on how to not scare the animals. The main part of the aquarium has a large tank that spans all the floors, with a walkway going around it that takes you up. There are giant eels, turtles, schools of fish, and tons of other animals. Overall, the aquarium isn't huge, though. It is definitely a great visit, but could be completely explored in an hour even if you spend some time at all the exhibits. If you only have a couple days to visit Boston, I would say this isn't a must see as it is similar to most other aquariums- but if you're already near the harbor and have some extra cash it is a wonderful and engaging time for kids!
Sy Guzman
Beautiful aquarium! Excellent staff! Easy to walk all floors. Animals look healthy and well cared after! Thank you!
Julia Rodriguez
Very pretty! All kinds of fish I just feel like it’s missing something! The large tank that goes all the way to the top is very cool! Just really stinks that there’s no parking for the price already being expensive!
Md Faishal Yousuf
Good place to spend time with your kids. Might not be that much amusing to adults. Underwater tunnel is a big attraction to me which is missing here. It's not that big. One to two hours is enough for covering all sections. Boston Harbor cruise boarding point is just nearby. It's a good idea to plan these together. Entry fee seemed a bit costly. But there are some packages for multiple places visit which reduces the overall cost.
Marie Colchado
I expected it to be bigger, but it was still awesome to see. The structure inside of the building is definitely one of a kind. Would love to see it again but the cost for parking there is ridiculous. I don't recommend parking there for 80 min it's almost like $40ish dollars.
Eric Mason
Fun experience. Lots of interesting animals, and even a 90 year old turtle. There are just too many common fish to make it a five star visit.
Ashley Wyman
We brought my daughter here for her 5th birthday, it was her 2nd time going but she was too young to remember the 1st time. She loved it. Great for kids and their touch pool is awesome!! You get to pet stingrays!! Fun for kids and adults of all ages, Soooo many diff things to see! My favorite exhibit is the lion's mane jellyfish!! They are huge!
Charmi Patel
Kids loved the central tank! My younger one was so happy to see Nemo and the huge turtle.. Kids were excited to see penguins jumping and swimming ..
Alaze
Great getaway for the weekend!
The tix is $32 for adults, $30 for college students only.
The interactive shark tank was one of the best features of this aquarium, you get to touch the sharks softly while they swim by.
The seals were also very eye catching and you will be able to watch them interact and play with the trainers
There are also two different kinds of penguins at the entrance of the aquarium
The aquarium isn’t too big, but you can spend around 2 hours in there. Expect to see so many different marine species you’ve never seen before!
Jack Sullivan
The grandkids saw some sea lions swimming in a tank before we even went in and it got them excited and interested but that’s the only free thing you’ll get all day. Let’s start with parking in the garage next door they own. $46 to park for 3 hours. Ticket prices are outrageous especially for kids. And Senior discount, what a joke; $2 off per ticket. That won’t even by me a half gallon kg gas. There are some nice features to the facility. The central attraction is a large tank in the middle with penguins on the lower level and then all the fish and turtles in the tank. Tip: take the elevator to the top floor (4th) and walk “down” the spiral walkway that wraps around the tank. It’s less crowded and easier than walking up the ramp especially with old ones and the little ones. Another great area is the Stingray tank. You can put your hands in the water and stroke the rays as they glide by under water. The little ones loved this. There is a shark exhibit on the floor below this area but real sharks are limited to some small species and baby sharks. My 5 year old granddaughter began singing; you guessed it: “ Baby Shark do do da do, baby shark____”
Besides the cost of parking and entrance fees there are other costs that are high. Just like Disney World you can’t exit unless you go through the Gift Shop. The first items thrust into your face are the overpriced stuffed fish, sharks, etc. While my grandkids are very good about excepting No for an answer I fully understand that for some children it’s hard and I find this set up very unfair to families. The cafeteria is pretty small and is very limited. It is self serve, precooked burgers, hot dogs, fries, etc. No GF options in real food, just a GF cookie. Prices are what you would expect for a facility that has you trapped.
Another criticism of the entire facility is a lack of continuity and sine age and directions. Because everyone is afraid to hand out printed brochures anymore ( sustainably) you have no idea what is available in the aquarium and how to find it. Employees are limited so there are no guides or personnel stationed strategically throughout to assist you. Overall it was an ok experience but a tough nut to swallow if you’re on a tight budget. If you find yourself in the mid Cape area with little ones, do yourself a favor and take them to Cape Cod Museum of Natural History (Brewster). While it’s not an Aquarium it’s similar in being a museum for natural wonders. It’s way more hands on, interesting and informative. There are plenty of employees to help you, you get a map with a scavenger hunt on it for the little ones. The price of admission is reasonable and there is free parking.
Blandyna Williams
Grandson, nearly 3 years old, and 4 adults in the group, loved the visit. The skate pool and the penguins were a hit with him, but the big center tank and other individual displays, including the weed sea dragon, were all exciting.
Cassie Stelmach
The kids had a great time at the aquarium on their field trip. The staff was very informative and helpful. The aquarium is very clean and has lots to see.
Thorin Teak
Amazing stop.lots of things for kids and adults to see. Lots of beautiful aquarium displays with fish from around the world. Every corner has something new to look at. Interesting interactive displays and tidbits of knowledge all over.
Sreenadh
This is a really small aquarium centered around a cylinder tank and is mainly a verticle aquarium with penguins
I think its overpriced for what it offers. I think it might be good for a short 2 hour visit for kids but adults will find this place underwhelming
Mirella Moldován
That is amazing place . My kids enjoy 7 years & 3 years old.
Price is good , staff is good , very clean place . A lot of animals ,georges :) . If somebody going to Boston ,that place is important to check.
Ashley Santana
Was my first time going love how they have the seals outside kids loved watching them play and swim around keep them entertained while we waited to get inside i think there was too many ppl not enough space to see all the animals but it was nice seen alot of penguins did not see any sharks wish we could have seen more
April Boyd
Had sooo much fun!!! The kids loved it!! The sharks are no longer there. They died. So we were a little disappointed. But over all it was fun.
Cass S.
Fun but CROWDED- plan accordingly. You will be fighting your way through screaming toddlers, parents pushing strollers and teenagers not paying attention to anything going on around them- timed entry is still a thing so maybe try for a less crowded late afternoon or early morning entry.
Rosie Begum
Beautiful aquarium! Lots to see. I have been there years ago. Looking for the pictures. Unfortunately can’t find them. Recommend strongly everyone who enjoys aquarium time is a great place to spend with family.
Sasha Stewart
We reserved the 11:40 time slot for Saturday thinking they were limiting entry. Boy were we wrong. It was an absolute zoo. You couldn't walk or turn around without running into people. The aquarium itself is nice. We enjoyed the layout with the central tank and the spiral walkway around it. It was just a little difficult to enjoy with so many people. Had to wait in line to get up to any of the tanks.
Mustafa Sadeq
Very nice aquarium by the water. Felt a little bit crowded on Memorial Day weekend. Many people were not wearing masks indoors as it was not required. Collection of sea creatures were decent.
French Kizz
Would I come back?No.
The penguins caught my families eyes. It took us maybe 45min to walk through. I wish there was more sea creatures. The gift shop I also thought could have sold more stuff. We waited to pet the sting rays at the end and that was also a great experience.
The facility is also clean. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. My children really enjoyed themselves. I also really appreciated seeing everyone wear their mask.
Latrice Darrell
I enjoyed the aquarium but expected more. I was able to tour the whole aquarium in less than 2 hours. I tried to find Myrtle the Turtle but somehow she evaded me that day.
Rosemary Foley
Hadn't been here in years. I love this kind of experience. They had people talking about the animals and the workings of the aquarium. Afyer we ealked over to Faneuil Hall Market and has some clam chowder.
Nathan
Exciting space, the way the exhibits are designed is very linear and intuitive, you get to see everything at once but also are able to delve deeply into the specifics! Beautiful creatures and plenty of awesome animals all over. A must visit if you love sea creatures and penguins!
Donna Boucher
I really love the Boston Aquarium. They have the most beautiful exhibits. My only comment is that if you require people to buy timed entry tickets then it shouldn't be so darn crowded. It was so busy that we had trouble seeing some of the exhibits, and that was during the week. We couldn't get anywhere near the touch tanks. So I left a little disappointed.
Govinda Raut
Wonderful place, amazing view and boat ride. I roam around the place including north end where there are many Italian restaurants, financial hub, downtown, Hay Market and street performance.
Rosalind Pattyn
Great aquarium with a huge central tank. You can watch divers go into the tank and feed the fish twice a day and do maintenance twice a day while someone is at the top commenting and answering questions. You can see inside the tank walking around 3 levels. There is also a great viewing area at the seal tank and a really good penguin exhibition etc. There are some very interesting fish species that I had never seen before and a tank with ray that you can put your hand in and let the rays brush up against you.
R Cha3
Great as a one time visit. I personally don't think the ticket price equates to the experience. I expected there to be a lot more animals and hands on activity here.
Dolores Chesley
Very nice place. You can bring in water but no food.
The prices in the food court and store were very expensive. Got to pat the sting rays. They have many mini tanks along the wall
Alex
Went here with friends and it was absolutely so much fun! Volunteers were cleaning the penguin exhibit and there was an employee also holding a penguin to apply some medication to its feet and waiting for it to dry. I asked her a ton of questions and learned so much from her! I loved learning about the penguins - how their identify male from female, territory, how they are raised, etc.
Highly recommend visiting. Great place for kids and for cute dates!
Alan Varghese
An amazing experience with breathtaking sea life. The highlights for us was the ability to touch select sharks and rays in the touch tank and watching over 30 penguins chilling on the ground floor.
They also have a giant stairwell which wraps around a gigantic tank, which has thousands of fish, where you can see schools of fish, giant sea turtles and hundreds of kinds of fish.
Small sharks, seals, Sea horses, ancient fish, poison dart frogs, puffer fish and rare coastal birds were also there.
The gift shop is also definitely worth visiting although things are a bit pricey.
Erin Crowell
Was a wonderful afternoon of delightful animals and incredible views. I have never been to an aquarium that was so well maintained that you couldn’t smell the penguins 15 minutes before seeing them. The harbor seals were so much fun to watch as we waited for our appointment time that the kids didn’t want to leave them. Inside was a little crowded but the aquarium tank went all the up the center of the building and gave such amazing views of the marine life that we didn’t mind the crowd. The sea lions were adorable and personable and lead the girls arguing which was cuter between them and the harbor seals. We will definitely return and I am sure we will find new favorites every time
Kayla Kaczowski
As far as aquariums go, it gets the job done. However, all the signs made it seemed like there were more exhibits than there actually were. Disappointed at the small size, but the exhibits that were offered were well organized and had lots of great sea life to see. The highlight was seeing the rockhopper penguins — SO CUTE. There is also a touch-tank where you can touch sting rays and sharks (ones safe to touch, of course!) which was a great opportunity! Very educational, clean, and well kept. Great staff, too. They seemed very involved in the exhibits, passionate, and knowledgable, which is exactly what is needed when dealing with animals, especially many endangered species.
One thing I wished to see were axolotls! They were included on an information board, but then absent in the exhibits.
There was also quite a few creatures that can be seen in Animal Crossing, so it's great for ac fans!
Kem Core
Brought the family here during our day trip to Boston. Lines were very short to get in, ticket scanning process was smooth, and liked they had hand sanitizer everywhere.
Brandon W
Fun exhibits. Just the right amount of information and animals to see them all without cramming anything in. The Cafe prices were laughable for the quality and gift shop items way over priced.
Lauren Walker
Fantastic aquarium, loved the penguin areas, nice and open for them. The center big tank was super cool going all the way to the top. The sea turtles circled on the top, which kinda made me sad..they deserve so much more space. Only other thing was how busy it was, thought the time slots would've mitigated larger crowd, but on a Saturday it didn't seem to matter.
Steve Seiger
Awesome place to take your kids and have a good time. Took my 10 year old son and he absolutely loves this place. It was obviously a bit crowded but we managed.
Angie PG
Loved the aquarium. It very well maintained and there's a fair amount of exhibit to visit. I will suggest making reservations before going because it can get sold out pretty quickly on a nice sunny day. There's a parking lot just across, if you're spending more than an hour and a half it will cost you $40 ( but that's the maximum, the highest listed fee for 80 minutes to 24 hours. ) . There are probably cheaper options if you don't mind walking . After visiting you can also walk around the area to visit or relax, might as well enjoy that $40 parking. It was really nice.
Devon J. Bell
My faves were the sea turtle, sea horses and of course the penguins. However, all the exhibits were great. From colorful coral to sassy seals. From slithering snakes to jolly jellyfish. So much to look at and enjoy!
Renee Rendon
Aquariums generally don't excite me much. However, I thoroughly enjoyed the way this one is set up. The huge aquarium in the center allows you to see the creatures from all angles. The walkway spirals around the tank, starting from the bottom all the way to above the surface, allowing you to see the fish and creatures from many different depths.
The place is very clean, which was apparent when watching the penguins. We didn't experience that fishy smell that usually accompanies penguin exhibits. Also, the penguins have such a large place to hang out. They looked like they really were having fun!
If you enjoy visiting aquariums, I would recommend this one.
Shantelle Lee
Very clean and animals are obviously well cared for. Staff were very nice. Seeing Myrtle the turtle was such a treat! It was really crowded though with no traffic pattern. We were bummed about the touch tank being closed but we totally understand. Overall we had a good experience.
Rn Fy
You don’t need a reservation to enter, so that was a major plus. The highlight was the tank at the top of the aquarium.
However the place was severely overpacked - to the point where you couldn’t even see the marine life. So is it really worth the $34 ticket?
Another bad practice is the amount of camera flashes that disturb the creatures in the tank.
But this is a must if you visiting Boston. I am glad I went.
Katie S
The animals are so well cared for here, its wonderful to see. There are so many animals to see and plenty of space to see them, even when it's busy. Definitely worth a visit
Jennifer Liang
Amazing place to go with family and friends. Lots of things to see and touch tanks. Should space out 1-2 hours for the visit!
M P
Cool animals and exhibits, but the amount of people they let in till they're at max capacity is insane. Can't see much of anything unless you like waiting.
Jenny Love
I loved what we saw & did enjoy our time here! The sting rays were our favorite. We were hoping for sharks so they do not have sharks here but they do have information and a center for sharks to visit still. I would of also loved hearing from staff to teach us. We didn’t interacted with any staff here but the front gate. Small aquarium so it felt a bit over crowded for us even with reservations. I would plan 1.5-2 hours to visit here. The cafe was not open during this time.
Jordan Harris
Always love coming here- so much so we became members and we always start showing off Boston with an aquarium visit. Staff is so knowledgeable, passionate, and skilled in exciting visitors.
Laura Bubbles
Took our 19 month old grandson here with the family over Thanksgiving. It was pricey, but for a good cause. Turns out that they help rehab sea creatures and turn them back out to the sea once they prove they can sustain themselves. If they don't reach that mark, the team keeps the animals in-house. I loved the sea horses and turtles.
Kate L
This is a smaller regional aquarium - it’s worth a visit if you like fish, learning, or have never been to an aquarium before. It’s not like sea world or Monterey Bay and has no exhibits with otters, dolphins, whales, or sharks. The fish are beautiful and seem well kept and they also have some amphibians, sea lions, reptiles, and coral. The interior is dark, cramped, and could use an update. It looks like all the exhibits were built forty years ago and it’s very crowded and noisy inside. It takes about an hour and a half to go through the whole thing. The location is in a fun part of Boston to explore.
Meredith
I love aquariums and this wasn’t the exception. Although many people wouldn’t give five stars because is not that big I liked it! The part that I liked the most was touching the rays and the sharks. It was an amazing experience even if they were small. We also enjoyed watching the penguins and eels. I also got a little souvenir:)
Christopher Lundy
The staff is very helpful and insightful regarding the exhibits. The animals look well taken care of and healthy
Genevive Mcphl
Spent a few hours here recently. Jelly tank is so relaxing to look at. Ray and shark touch tank is worth the trip alone! Not to mention getting to spend some time with the legend herself: myrtle the turtle. That is one beautiful old soul! ❤️
Scarlette 2.0
10/10 recommend. I haven't been to the aquarium in years and it was like being a little kid again. It was so much fun and I absolutely loved it. The turtles had to be mine and my girlfriends favorite part
Clark Baird
Fun and exciting place to bring the family! Plan and prep way ahead of time as it can get VERY busy, especially at peak times. Plan to buy tickets online a week ahead of time.
Jeremy Newcomer
Beautiful Aquarium! All of the animals were very active and healthy. The layout of the building was good for circulating around the exhibits. Staff were friendly. Watch your shins for runaway strollers on the winding ramp! What? No postcards? Get your printer up and running guys! If I lived here I'd have a membership!
Angie Ordway
Amazing experience. I went with 3 other adults and enjoyed this so much. Say hello to Myrtle the turtle for me, she is beautiful!
Samantha Holmes
A great time with my 3 kiddos. Plenty of things to look at and interact with for several hours. The food court is rather pricy considering what it is. There is several options however. The good thing is you can bring your own lunch. There are lockers that you can rent as well. They are $5 for a small or $7 for a large. Was slightly disappointed that they didn't have schedule times to do the sea lion show any more, it's done randomly was what I was told when I asked the front desk. So we never got to see the show as we didn't know when it was going to happen. And we did sit there for 30mins waiting and hoping, but it didn't happen.
Curly Iguana
I was a little disappointed... The aquarium came highly recommended to me, so I went there with very high expectations, just to find out that the octopus was not there yet and the shark exhibit didn't actually have any big live sharks, just tiny ones.
Pretty small aquarium, but ok if you want a little activity for the kids.
It was clean though, with sanitizing stations at the entrance,... interesting species of sea life, cute penguins and sea lions.
You can easily see everything in about 90 minutes.
Daniel Schoellenberger
The aquarium is fine, i have been to so many aquariums, this ranges more on the middle. I do not like the layout, because there is no flow and if it’s busy you always walk in people or they walk into you.
Jaws Cohan
Beautiful place... just overly crowded. It was way too crowded and it made it difficult to walk around, view everything and enjoy. We actually left faster than what we would have liked, but it was just too crowded despite having time slots. The kids were over stimulated and the adults were drained from trying to navigate through the crowd with the littles.
Travis Schmieg
Fun aquarium, kids had a blast. Very informative exhibits and staff. Kids favorite part was petting rays.
Shiloh Williams
Highly recommended for anyone of all ages. The sea lion feeding was neat. Touching the sharks and rays was my favorite.
Hannah Buchanan-Hughes
Awesome visit to the New England Aquarium! The open viewing of the penguins and sting ray was great. Also an amazing experience to touch the sting ray!
Алина
Magical experience guaranteed for kids and adults alike. Beautifully designed aquarium full of so many unique species of fish that it is seem unreal. Please support the aquarium by visiting and learning more about our beautiful planet.
Shahab “Shawn” Sheikhzadeh
I'm only sharing one photo, albeit a unique one for this review because I feel this an aquarium to be experienced. The only other aquarium I'm fairly familiar with is the Georgia State Aquarium which I've been to a few times.
What I like about the New England Aquarium is:
* No annoying "Brought to you by Home Depot!" signs every 15 feet
* The ability to be a little bit closer to some frens, like the Sea Lions and Penguins. You also get to see them get fed, which is pretty cool 😮
* The neat, large, vertical tank in the center of the Aquarium -- this is pretty cool!
* Displays that are slightly more unique than other Aquariums
* Knowledgeable staff
* Being able to pet a sting-ray!!!!!!! 🤯
The only thing that makes me sad is, it felt a little small with the amount of people. This may have been due to showing up on a Friday and going with a party of my peers. You learn some pretty cool facts about some of the frens they have and how old they are in the Aquarium. Very neat place :)
Clem Shih
A tad smaller than I thought it would've been, however, nonetheless beautiful! I came here with my girlfriend and was thoroughly blown away! The penguins are adorable and the immediate whale skeleton was gigantic!
Ryan Oates
Stunning.
Check in with your local library to see if they might offer discounts. The Lowell Public Library was able to give us 50% off of up to 4 adult tickets.
Darek Nowak
Public aquarium with a wide variety of exotic fish including piranhas and mantas, birds (penguins), reptiles (turtles, anacondas), mammals (seals), jelly fish, corals, etc. However there are no big or mid size sharks - nevertheless it's definitely worth seeing!
Robert Nguyen
The last time I have been to the New England Aquarium was 8/8/2022 with my daughters, and it has completely evolved from having only New England aquatic animals to more wildlife from 3 additional habitats across the Americas. I never knew that I lived near the Gulf of Maine and a National Marine Sanctuary inside it is designated by NOAA. I always used NOAA religiously for the weather forecast.
Esther Mbiwan
It was my first time visiting. I loved it. The penguins were fun but smelled of fish (🥴) but don't let that deter you😅
Hope you like the pics. Will take better ones on my next visit💪🏾 …
Reno Reali
Had an awesome time checking out the penguins and all the different fish. Great time for kids, my son had a blast would definitely recommend.
Nathan Rice
The aquarium had a friendly and efficient ticketing agent and the phone representative was very helpful. Myself and a 12 year old had a great time. There are many fish displays, but the penguins seem to steal the show. It’s a unique aquarium that goes upstairs rather than being spread out. It is a smaller aquarium than many, but everything they have is well maintained.
Kayla Rudder
Wonderful experience. It's smaller than a lot of other ones, it can also be expensive so be ready for that. There are a number of parking lots around it as well as places to eat and visit within walking distance and some gifts shops. They have sharks, many fishes, 3 turtles, pet a string ray, sea lions shows.
Matty Thrash
Amazing aquarium, kids loved it and it's in a perfect area to walk around to really appreciate the city. Won't be the last time we go for sure. Definitely plan to get there early so you can fully enjoy the area, plenty of things to see and plenty of good food.
Omri Stier
We had a lot of fun!
I absolutely love aquariums! I love having fish around me and seeing different and unique sea creatures. When you enter the aquarium you have a giant pool with tons of penguins. Usually they put the penguins in the end of the aquarium but you actually go around it because the aquarium is a tall building and you go up and in circles. The large tank in the middle have lots of different species of fish and some sea turtles.
The gift shop at the end was a bit of disappointment. Most of the things was targeted for kids and the variety of items wasn't high. They had some Pampers diapers for some reason.
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves, we stayed there for about three hours!
Courtney Ayala Rivas
Always a great time. Probably not a full day spent here, could see everything in about 2 hours but plenty of fun things nearby. And the penguins in the back are hilarious!
Plamen Kolev
One of the best aquariums I ever visited. Perfect place, either for kids and for their parents. The life under water is so colorfull...
MUDASSIR SALAAR
Very beautiful place, amazing Job done by management.
Really appreciate the hard work of whole team.
One of the best place to visit with children.
Marissa Maulbeck
We did the whale watching and aquarium ticket combo. It was well worth the cost. We saw over 7 different whales and didn’t go more than 5 minutes without seeing a whale come up. We saw humpback whales, minke whales, and an ocean sunfish!!
The aquarium is also very cool. More unique than others I’ve been to with a huge circular tank in the middle that you go on a ramp around it to the different levels. The penguins were fun to watch and they also have fur sea lions too.
Scott
What a great place. Kids loved it and so much going on right outside. We walked there from the harbor near the USS Constitution and it was very manageable. Huge round 4 level tank goes all the way up the center of the building with a circular ramp going round all the way up. If in Boston with kids you should definitely make it a point to go. We read if you drive the parking was very expensive so we just walked. We tried for a water taxi bit it didn't work out. Only better aquarium we have been to is the one in Newport KY.
Kimi Kehr
Great for a day trip! The penguins were awesome and there was a ton of informative signage!
If you want to avoid the crowds, go early on a weekend. The weekend gets a little crowded
Jason
Love the live coral reef display. Due to their difficulty and necessary upkeep, these displays are often left out or underwhelming in aquaria. Thanks for showing off these amazing and important ecosystems that are feeling the effects of human "progress". Pic of the African penguins.
RaeAnne Richards
Loved the big tank in the center, and the pigeons were awesome... Such a great afternoon adventure!
Tokyo Flo
It was nice. But it’s very small! It’s literally one building…it was a bit lack luster. But I enjoyed the touch tank.
Michael Batista
With many sea species, the place is incredibly special.
The place is very busy independent of the week so go easy and peaceful and enjoy space
The kids are gonna love it.
Mystery Devil-Man
First time going to an aquarium and it was just absolutely incredible!!! I went earlier this year and had to go again this recent Summer! TONS of animals/fish/sealife! Place was clean, covid guidelines were great, staff was excellent! Loved the penguins!!! Also loved that giant tank with tons of windows to see everything and you can walk up to the top! Lots of exhibits to see and lots to learn! Will defiantly keep coming back! Also nearby is boat tours of Boston! It’s just absolutely perfect!
Erik Chou
It can be reeaaaal crowded depending on the time/date. Has a lot of fishies and penguins so I can’t complain, but it’s quite expensive for a ticket.
Cora Teoy
It was amazing I went with 4 kids,me and my step dad.Food is like at a hospital so the food deserves 4 stars. But the Seal show is so cute
Stephanie Barr
Absolutely beautiful and incredible experience!!! 🤯😍 I love how it is all handicap accessible, although I am not handicapped, my mother in law has a boot on her foot, so it was a great experience because of the accessibility. The penguin exhibit is absolutely amazing and just wonderful to sit and listen to the noise and when they would fight. I'm someone that is incredibly against any kind of zoo, or SeaWorld type of places but I did read up on this place and found that they do some sanctuary work and conservation as well so I agreed to go here and let me tell you ... When you walk up through the levels ... Such beauty such amazing fantastic views, the fish, the life that lives within this water was absolutely amazing and so very beautiful. Some things, fishes and other aquatic life that I have never seen and I loved it but my daughter just absolutely loved it and wanted a penguin. Also, the larger sea turtle in the giant cylinder aquarium, is 95 years old and when my mother in law was a child, that very same turtle was just a young little baby and than when my husband was a young child, this same turtle was mid aged and so big and beautiful. They have pictures from their times with this same turtle. Just a wonderful place, very informative, sea lions to watch them swim and play around outside as you waited was wonderful. Also, while we waited we got to walk around the giant walkway that surrounds the aquarium and also has the boats for people that want to go whale watching or just a boat ride. There's also the duck tour boats where they go from moving vehicle to a boat. It was fun to see the very old and antique ship too and to take pictures with my family on the ocean. Just beautiful and wonderful experience altogether. The gift shop has some pretty amazing items to buy! And although it can be a bit pricey, for the most part it's actually less pricey than others we've been to on this trip. Overall, a very enjoyable activity to do with family and kids.
Mr. Impala
I was expecting a lil more but that's on me. It was crowded so at times it was hard to get my grandson in position to see certain displays but there's nothing you can do about that. Plenty of exotic sea creatures to see. It took us about an hour or so to mover through everything and we weren't going fast at all so in that sense the cost was a lil frustrating. Overall it was a good experience.
Yash Cris
I love the aquarium so nice perfect for the whole family is a big place very fun!
C M
Holy smokes what an aquarium! Very well set up. Unique views of Boston Harbor, and well thought out exhibits. Pro tip* be there in the first 2 hours of opening to catch feeding times!
Lisa Alkova
Check your local public library for 50% ticket discount-I got it in Framingham public library. Other than that an amazing aquarium maintained very well with loads of species
Mark W Paro
Our visit to the Aquarium a was great time. Found it to be not as busy as one might expect. Planning our next visit already.
Stormi (Andy)
My partner of 5 years proposed here yesterday (12/07/21) by the sea lions and seals and it couldn't have been better. I absolutely love the ocean and it's creatures and this facility is one of the better ones I've been to. The animals look happy and well cared for, and throughout our visit from 12-5 they were all checked on and fed their special diets. Cleaners were consistently going from level to level cleaning and sanitizing, and all staff and guests were very diligent about staying masked up. Can't wait to come back! This is a very special place, now in more ways than one!
Lauren Ugorji
I must say that, for the price, this was a bit disappointing as we were hoping to see big sharks but they only have baby sharks, at least on July 5, 2022. But great for younger children as they do have the touch the stingray exhibit.
J Witmer
Enjoyed the aquarium but it was EXTREMELY crowded and there wasn’t any attempt to social distance. The young man greeting folks outside was friendly and excited. We enjoyed the penguins but were very disappointed that the manta ray experience was not available. I also wanted to commend the employee doing the educational discussion about lobster traps and buoys. She was very informative and engaging. I do think this is a fun place and the fish are beautiful but if I had to compare it to New Orleans Aquarium it falls a little short.
BAM Maxwell
We had such a great time at the aquarium seeing all the beautiful aquatic animals!
Marie Perrin-Largilliere
The giant fish tank in the middle of the building is fascinating, the ramp that wraps around it on 3 levels allows you to watch the various species move around, from deeper to shallower waters. We nearly missed the seals, the signage is a bit lacking, and could only watch them for a minute before it closed... Some displays are also a bit bright and reflects on the tanks which can be a bit distracting (and doesn't look good on the pictures...) Otherwise really enjoyed the visit!
KJ's train run
This place is really nice. All the animals are so cute! Really loved seeing the seals and myrtle the turtle. Also loved seeing the penguins. There's a lot to do and the staff is more then willing to help. And they are very educated. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting around Boston.
James Mack
Was super crowded nice but overwhelming at points great aquarium other wise buetifuel views of Boston harbor on the back side was still a enjoyable experience
Christian Kolb
Loved the aquarium. Well worth the time and money. Take the time to look at all the exhibits. Starts with the penguins and then slowly make your way up to the top of the 200,000 gallon aquarium. Then go back down the sides and look at all the different smaller exhibits, oh and the seals near the back and touch pen and shark area. A ton to see. Give yourself well over an hour or two.
Mike Borisenko
Fun for the whole family! Pet some sting rays. Stare at some penguins starring back at you! The penguins are worth the cost of entry alone! Exhibits around every corner; a must see while in Boston.
Short walk from the subway and Quincy Market. A perfect day trip, but would be much better if you had the whole weekend there.
Victoria Cantarella
Lovely aquarium to visit if you have a couple hours to spare in Boston. We enjoyed the central tank that spanned all 4 floors of the aquarium, as well as the seals and sea lions.
Krystle Carrissa
An absolute treat to visit!! Second time visiting from NYC & just gets better each time! Place is pretty organized & staff is friendly and attentive! Covid safe with sani stations everywhere & not a lot of people! We loved how informative the Aquarium was and we loved even more how active all of our sea friends were the day we visited! Well worth the visit!!
Eddie Gzman
The best experience of our life... This is not the first time that we visit this place and its definitely the last one. We moved out of Boston 2 years ago but we still come to the aquarium once a year for vacations.. definitely highly recommend 👌 …
Wright Oliver
Great aquarium and very well set out..Take around 2.5 to go around, the ray touching area was good fun...
Paleofan
Informative introduction to the amazing beauty and wonders of the worlds oceans and water world and the connection of all life and environment.
The penguin and sea lions exhibit was great but by far was the central tank, the reef tank, the cold water reef tank. Other notable aquariums were the weedy sea dragons, the electric eel and the Amazon river fish tank.
Deep Dand
It's such beautiful place with so many different kind of sea creatures. It's a place you must visit when you are around this area.
Gardite Fougy
Wonderful experience the kids enjoyed it so much! The penguins are my favorite 😍 ❤️ 💕 ♥️ …
Max Factoria
Went with my fam, everyone enjoyed it. The turtles in the main tank are spectacular!!!memories were made, and lots of things were learned.
Ksenia D
My whole family loved it there. Many different kinds of fish and wildlife to see. Kind and experienced staff.
Gregg Pugliese
Enjoyed it very much, make sure you buy your ticket online, as we were entering people were being turned away because of occupancy requirements still being enforced due to covid.
Lili Wang
For the price of the tickets l say the aquarium is a little too small. The big tank in the middle was great but l would rather prefer the aquarium in Camden NJ or Baltimore.
Nichole
We love the aquarium. I could watch the seals all day. We watched the sea turtle get fed, played a game with a penguin.
Donald Mosley
Lots of good information and plenty to look at. We went in the morning and it wasn’t very busy. Returned in the afternoon and it was packed! Tank in the middle was amazing and we watched them feed the sea turtles!
Aliyah Floyd
Let’s start by saying the aquarium is small and get that out-of-the-way now. If you’re expecting something grand and hours long then that’s not going happen but it fulfilled it’s assignment as an aquarium. I loved that the tank is in the center of the aquarium and you walk up the ramp in a spiral exploring each angle and getting to see different exhibits or species highlighted along the way.
The aquarium is conveniently located near many other activities and was a quick and easy subway ride from where we stayed. People were required to wear a mask indoors and the aquarium was kept clean with hand sanitizing stations everywhere.
The sea lions were outside so people who weren’t at the aquarium but in the area can see them too.
Geoff Butler
Lots to see and a fantastic place to bring kids. It was very busy when we visited at 13:00 on a Friday but that did not spoil our visit. I recommend booking a time slot in advance.
Victoria Giles
Our toddler had a wonderful time here for the first time! Stroller accessible and kid friendly.
Pritom Das Radheshyam
The photos speaks for itself, loved the theatre absolutely. Make sure to get your student discount by talking over the ticket counter and have your student Id ready.
Cassandra Blondin
We went to the aquarium yesterday.
We used our city pass, and I'm glad we didn't pay out of pocket because it wouldn't have been worth the money IMO.
The sea lions were really cool, the touch tank with the sting rays was also awesome, and we loved looking at the fish and penguins.
However, my kids and I got bored quickly. It was cramped and uncomfortable to get around.
We skipped a lot of the fish tanks along the walls because we could never actually get in and close enough to see anything because there were loads of people at each one. If you did so happen to get to one that wasn't loaded with people, you would quickly get cornered in. We were all so excited to go here, and it was really just a disappointment. We originally came here for the whale watch, but that got canceled unfortunately.
It was really cool seeing all the different animals up close, well the ones we could get close enough to, but if you're coming here expecting something amazing, I feel like you'd be let down. I hate that I'm giving this place a lower rating than I wanted to, but I feel I need to be honest. It wasn't horrible here, there just wasn't much to see or do. We got through in under an hour.
Diana Jarrett
Aside from the crowd and torrential rain, it was a great visit. Lucked out and got to watch Myrtle and her two buddies get fed at the top of the tank.
Tyler Higgins
Beautiful aquarium with great information. It only took two hours to see everything, but it is worth the cost.
Anushka
Odorable place. I could spend all day looking at this fantastic world. Perfect place for children, but interesting for people of any age.
Anton Rapetov
A lot of fish to see. I liked the way they've organized it. The center cylindric aquarium is a great idea! The turtles are really big. It's also cool to see how seals are fed.
Was only disappointed when didn't find a bicycle parking rack at the Aquarium.
Sadiq Sikkandhar
Good spot to take your kids for few hours. If you are local to the state, you can get museum pass from the local public library and that saves 50% on your ticket cost( but restricted to a family of 4). And if you are planning to visit 3 or more times in an year, then an annual pass is the best bet.
They have a small petting spot where you can touch and feel small sharks and sting ray. It gets quite busy during weekends. Cafeteria serves decent food. Earlier their coral reef pond used to house lot of fishes but now I don’t think they have that many species. They have few seals on the rear side as well. Go with less expectation and you will enjoy more
Snehi Jha
Cool place to visit, especially with kids. It is right next to the Boston harbor, so you can enjoy the view outside as well as inside. I would recommend planning a whole day trip including an aquarium visit, city tour, and whale watching. 24 hours Parking is $42.00 if you park in the garage at Milk St and Atlantic St intersection. If you are just planning to visit the aquarium, I would recommend street parking since it would cost only $4.00 for 2 hours. The aquarium is small but has a good collection of different species of fish. However I did not find any sharks or sting rays, which my kid really wanted to see. Overall it was a good experience. Loved watching the penguins, the seals, turtles, anaconda, jelly fish, sea dragons, sea horses, lobsters, shrimp, electric eel, piranha, elephant nose fish (saw it for the first time), Goliath fish and many more.
tunabeansss
beautiful aquarium! absolutely love how it's centered around one main massive tank throughout several floors of the building. could definitely use a larger jellyfish collection though 😉 …
Kelley Winebego
I have so many great memories here as a kid so being able to take my son and daughter was very special. Going to the top of the big tank never gets old. This is a great place for families with beautiful views of the harbor!
Katie Ball
We love going here however it was a little too busy so we left right after seeing the Jelly fish.
Sona
Not what I expected from a large aquarium located at the ports. They sure have done great publicity to make people come to see the aquarium. I have however seen much better and smaller aquariums with not even half this publicity but much better content. There sure was a large exhibit of many varieties of fishes and an exhibit of penguins . The only part I really enjoyed was the sea lion feeding .
Most aquariums I have been to had sharks, pelicans, some sea birds, iguanas and much more. Maybe there are some restrictions to do that .
Katrina Rivera
This place was super nice and well organized, just be aware you have to reserve a time when you buy your ticket so if you're going when it's busy, just plan in advance.
Vinay Mago
It's a good place for kids to learn about sea animals.4 story tank is humongous and fun to watch. Cost wise It's better to take Annual membership if you are from around as it gives you a place to visit in winters with young kids. Cafe was not good at all though you have many places to eat nearby. Over all good fun with young ones.
Miguel de la Rocha
Beautiful aquarium with lots of cool exhibitions. Enjoyed seeing the penguins, turtles and variety of fishes.
Rikki O'Hagan
Great for the kiddos for a short trip. It's quite small for an aquarium, but it has a fantastic location with plenty of places to eat within walking distance.
s lee
Been many years ago when my kids was small. Had a memorable time them but this visit was more enjoyable. The exhibits was fun and petting the sting rays is better the second time around. The seal and penguin was fun to watch. Could have remember that the shark exhibit was bigger. Surprised to see it down size. Miss the octopus as well.
Bailey H.
Beautiful aquarium with a unique layout. Walking distance to the ferry which will take you to and from the airport. We went here on the last day of our trip and took the ferry over to the bus station to the airport.
Jodi
So many people! That's my only criticism. (And nearby parking is crazy expensive). My family loved the aquarium- especially the penguins & turtles. Kids say it was cool & awesome & deserves 5 stars.
Eric Efraimson
Very informative & interesting exhibits. Family loved it. Highly recommend!
Queenie Matos
Love this aquarium had such a great time. I enjoy every minute of it.
Stephanie Sheena
Wonderful aquarium and thoroughly enjoyed by all in our party. I’ve loved this place since I was little. I do recommend the library passes or getting a membership as the price is high enough to actually support the animals.
Christen Miller
So much fun for the kiddos. Pet sting rays and sharks at the end! It was amazing!
David Frank
Great place to visit with kids or just adults! They have so many things to see. The large tank spans all 4 floors and as you go down your perspective changes and you get to see how the layers of a coral reef create different ecosystems (before you leave go back up to the top to see how things changed just while you were there). I suggest starting at the top and working your way down. No two visits are the same as you never know what you'll see or what the animals are doing. It's good to budget about 2 hours here.
Zacharia Sonallah
Great fishing location. Stocked with lots of exotic fish. Catch and release is usually encouraged. The kids loved it
Vppa Verein Plastic Planet Austria
A lot of plastictoys for kids, but they collect Trash Out of the oceans eg flip flops and make New scuptures Out of it
Leesah Patt
What a beautiful aquarium! I love it here!! This place is full of beautiful habitats and tons of creatures!
Cliff Yu
Very crowded in general. Penguin exhibit is very good. Touch a stingray staff were very friendly and informative
Maksim Lagoda
This place is a must see. So many different species of animals with beautiful exhibits on every level with the top level being the surface of the huge water tank which you'll be walking around as you make your way up the different levels. Petting the stingrays and sharks was very cool and even with people completely surrounding the tank everyone gets to touch one. We came in at 2 and i believe it was feeding time because we saw the penguins get fed and the fish in the huge tank were fed by 2 scuba divers who were being harassed by the fish which was quite funny to see.
Alicia Almassi
It’s a nice aquarium with a wonderful cylindrical tank that you get to enjoy as you ascend the spiral platform. My husband and kiddos love this aquarium and tease to go often. I didn’t give 5 stars because they didn’t have any sharks. The penguin exhibit is one of the better I’ve seen. Highly recommend visiting
Kristie Devoid
Kids love it, adults too. Very crowded but still a blast.
Jon Connington
It was great fun and wonderful to see the emphasis on sustainability. The facilities were clean, organized, well-managed. There were many different aquatic ecosystems for us to see, and everywhere reminded us of their importance and what we can do to help support these animals. The work they do should be an inspiration to all.
Joanne Fletcher
Loved the big touch tank and the giant sea turtle! The kids thought it was cool they could see the seals anytime we were over by the aquarium without having to go in. Combo pass with whale watching was worth it
Andrew Mylkes
Best aquarium I’ve ever seen! 3 or 4 floors worth of sea life!
Hannah Kelly
My kids had a great time checking out all of the different types of animals, and reading about them. It was a bit crowded which was surprising, considering we have to reserve a spot and time. Next time we'll do the whale watch as well!
Matthew Standland
The main tank at this aquarium is just spectacular. There's only one other aquarium I've visited that was more impressive in sheer size. If we weren't time limited I could have watched the turtles all day.
Liliana Ivanova
Beautiful place, very well arranged with a variety of aquatic animals, fish and bird.
Glenn Serrano
I loved it here and so did my kids. They have an amazing staircase exhibit that is basically a giant tank that goes up the middle of the aquarium. And as you climb up higher and higher you can see all the different sea creatures they have. They have a beautiful theater with a great video on the octopus.
Stephen Plimpton
We had looked forward to the visit for awhile. We enjoy aquariums and have been to several. The building and center cylinder tank that went up through the center were nice. They also had some beautiful tanks. But I was underwhelmed. We had seen that it was rated number 1 aquarium in the US. My wife and I enjoy seeing jellyfish but the was just 1 tank we saw. I enjoy sharks but only seen one in the touch tank. Also, although there was a map you could put on your phone it was a bit tricky to figure out how to get around.
I am not saying it wasn't a nice aquarium, but it didn't seem to live up the a number 1 ranking. The tickets were $37 per person which isn't bad knowing that it is going to help conservation but then you have to add $40 to park in Boston.
We are glad we went but probably will not go back.
Stacy Swanberry-Luna
I love this aquarium! They have a wonderful variety of creatures. It's clean and the staff is friendly. The giant reef tank is amazing to walk around! The kids love petting the sting rays and sharks! Definitely highly recommend!
Rosie McKamey
The aquarium was super amazing! There was so much to see maybe a little too much 😂. The seals actually have me life and the staff were knowledgeable and soooooo kind. …
Arwyen83
Absolutely wonderful aquarium. So much to look at and everything was displayed in a beautiful manner. My favorite by far though was myrtle the turtle. I loved following her around the tank and taking pics of her!
Kuba F
It's a alright aquarium. Little bit over priced for what you get. It's mostly a single room with a tall vertical aquarium and spiral steps around it. They have a seals exhibit and a small room below about stingrays and sharks.
Michael Reynolds
I would make sure to get discount tickets as you can see the entire aquarium in a couple of hours. It's fun watching your kids getting excited seeing these beautiful creatures. You can make your stay longer visiting the aquariums movie theater. The location is the main attraction so much to do and explore, Fanuel Hall, trolley tours, duck boats and many restaurants. Make sure you have good weather for your visit if possible.
Mark Barnes
We got tickets here for the whale watching. It was totally awesome. First if you are like me and have a queasy stomach on the water I would definitely take something. We saw a couple of whales. It was also a really neat view of the harbor.
Bekhie Mulungi
A very exciting experience and quite a marvel at the Boston Harbour. There is a variety of fish to view and it’s also expansive as well so plenty to see and quite a distance to cover at the end of the experience.
Angie
Fun time. Was a little busy but was still able to look at everything. The seals were being silly and fun.
Sierra Jean
We had so much fun. Regret not bringing the kids but other then that we enjoyed it. Very beautiful.
Dean Chia
Great exhibits and kids absolutely loved the penguins! The anemones were vibrant, and the sea dragons were very cool. Touching the rays was awesome! They were very social.
Scott Payette
Having seals out front for guests to see without having to pay anything is genius. My kids particularly enjoyed the two groups of penguins inside, especially when they became the 'pooping penguins' a bit after the penguins' lunch. Touching the stingrays was a highlight as well. The main fish tank is nice with the smaller tanks just okay. The facility is beginning to show its age but is still worth the visit. It was in my kids top three things that they enjoyed while in Boston.
William Tai
my wife and i visited new england aquarium while we have a short stay at boston. it's a great place with a lot of sea species. if we have smaller kids, this is the greatest place to let them visit. we spent a good few hours here saw them feeding fishes and penguins.
Zoila Castro
Amazing place to go with the family, love the different species that I saw , specially the turtle
Alicia Cross-davis (Autistic and More)
I was busy even though they said Monday's are slow. My autistic son had trouble with all the sensory input and no where to go quiet. Other then that it was good and full of fun facts.
L B (Lor)
Wonderful as always, tons to see and friendly staff. I imagine the empty gift shop and the crowds were because of Covid's influence but we went on a Groupon and had a great time. I would say if you're going to go try and do it on a weekday because the weekends are just too busy to really enjoy your time but we had a blast either way and will be coming back. My favorite exhibit was the electric eel, I always love seeing the octopus but I think that they passed away between our previous visits so bear that in mind if you're looking forward to the octopus.
Evan Bevilacqua
Super fun! Prices are a little outrageous I won’t lie, but it makes sense.
Elizabeth xyz
Lots of cool animals to see. Kid friendly. Prepare to walk.
April Deschenes
Love this place. So many fish and you can touch a sting ray and a shark.
Susan Temple
I love aquariums! And to my delight they had sea dragons! They are so cool! The salt water tank was huge with beautiful fish and a beautiful sea turtle. The different penguins were fun to watch. Just a fun thing to do on a rainy day!
Brian Hall
Nice aquarium, definitely need to add a walk through glass tunnel.
Joe Sestrich
Top notch aquarium. The central coral reef tank is full of a variety of things unusual fish, small to big. The turtles are fun to watch. There are several tanks around the edges, with fun info.
Everybody likes touch tanks-- rays are cool, and seem to enjoy the people.
Brayan Reyes
It is something small, in 1 hour maybe 1.5hrs you can see everything
They have a lot of variety, there are a lot of penguins, and weird fishes. Its pretty cool
Constance M
Cool place. My toddlers enjoyed all the fish and turtles.
Gabrielle Aukscunas
Beautiful aquarium and great use of space inside. No matter where you are you get great views of the large fish tank and the penguins below! Definitely buy tickets online ahead of time, saves time when you arrive.
Pushpendra Yadav
It's good. They have all the water ecosystems but do not have large fishes.
Amber Fixler
High admission price for the value in my opinion. We were gifted a membership to make it worth it for a couple of visits per year. Beautiful tanks with lots of science represented and many amazing specimens. We always enjoy ourselves here. Keeps the kids involved for maybe 2 hours.
Brandi Mendes
Little smaller than I expected but we Loved visit to New England Aquarium
Guilherme Krzisch
Lovely aquarium for small children and adults alike. Similar to other USA aquariums.
Nick Graham
Super cool place to visit with loads of exhibits, but it was a little crowded and difficult to see everything.
Morgen Connor
Fun, but expensive, so I'd recommend using a discounted library pass if you can. Probably spent 2+ hours, but that was all. The touch tank, penguins and seals were highlights. Disappointing that there are no sharks (other than a shark wall display). Go early when the crowds are smaller, mid to late day it's impossible to move in there.
Keavan Farsad
Very cool experience! Recommended for anyone looking to have a fun day trip!
Rebecca Swinburne Romine
Wonderful staff made for an easy visit, with excellent opportunities to see and learn about the animals
Dilan G.
Animals were seemingly in very good health, knowledgable staff and very cool exhibits!
Charlie Pankey
Lots of fun. Central aquarium is filled with cool fish. Jelly fish fantastic. Wife loved penguins
Drew Frederick
Not the largest of aquariums but a good one. Located in a busy section of the awesome city of Boston it is close to any and all things. Lots of nearby restaurants and pubs. Walking around the city is fun as well. The facilities here are clean and tidy. They use vertical space well and have a good variety of exhibits on site. Word to the wise, buy tickets online the day before as they were selling out early!
Shawn Baijoo
If you're in Boston, you should go to the Aquarium.
It's beautiful and wonderful and all superlatives rolled into one, when it comes to an educational venue.
You'll see turtles, sharks, penguins, seals, eels, jellyfish, rays… this place never loses its appeal for me.
Tickets were $32 for adults . The gift shop isn't huge but the gifts weren't stupidly expensive either.
Karen DeFeo
Nice day out! Check out your local library for 50% off tickets - takes the pain out of the cost for sure!
Caley Pillow
Probably my most favorite place in the world 🥰 Myrtle the turtle is my favorite creature, was a little disappointed that they didn't have any axolotl though. So many pretty fishes and other creatures! Definitely gonna go back 🥰 …
Katie McKay
Such a variety of exhibits to see here. Helpful and friendly staff. Quite crowded, even with reservations required. But if you're not in a rush, you can make sure to see everything. You could watch the animals in the giant tank for hours!
A+ Psychlone Computers
Educational entertainment!
This place was fantastic, clean and informative.
The New England Aquarium is a perfect place to bring your kids, parents or friends. Full of informative signs and tons of exhibits. Probably the best penguin exhibit I've ever seen and I've been to quite a few aquariums around the country and several in other countries.
Prasad Sapre
Great place for kids. The multi floor tank is awesome. However, my daughter wanted to see some big sharks and to our surprise there weren't any big ones in the tank. Though she loved the sting ray touch pool!
Kelli M.
This was fun! Went for my birthday and loved seeing all the marine life! There are no hands-on exhibits right now due to COVID but was still a great experience. Loved seeing the penguins, jellyfish, and most of all, the octopus! 🐙 Wish there were more jellyfish tanks though. There are 3 levels as well as a spiral staircase revolving around a center tank. Fun experience for kids and adults! Would recommend finding alternative parking aside from at the aquarium unless you want to lay $35. They offer whale watches and other experiences too. Will be going back!
Hannah Olson
Took a group of ten on a Sunday, ranging in age from 2.5 to 42, and everyone had a great time. We went during peak weekend hours so it was quite busy; with lunch and a stop in the gift shop we were there about 3 1/4 hours overall. We didn't opt for any of the shows at the theater. We made sure to snag the discounted museum passes from our local libraries which made it much more affordable (50% off regular admission for up to 4 people; children under 3 are free and don't count towards your 4 people). The kids really enjoyed watching the seals and penguins and the touch tank with the rays and sharks. We printed out a scavenger hunt from the aquarium website before we went and they had a lot of fun hunting everything down. The only food option in winter is the harbor view cafe, which is fine but nothing memorable and a little pricey (but what isn't these days); if you are coming from closer or with a smaller group I'd recommend packing a lunch instead. This time of year, I'd also recommend renting a locker ($7 for the larger size) to toss coats and other bulky items into. The website says no bags over 12"X12"X12" but I saw plenty of backpacks walking around so i don't think they strictly enforce that. The gift shop is full of adorable stuffed critters; I was sorely tempted by original art painted by seals as well (alas, it felt too large to schlep home on the train while also child wrangling).
April Lutz
Amazing setup for a aquarium! The penguin are open air display no windows to look through. Staff actually stopped to explain mating call and life of the penguin. Got there for the daily check up the trainers got the seals to spin for the kids to see it was magical!
A.D's Adventure
Very cool aquarium. My little really enjoyed it. The place was.... a bit small. For those prices I expected a LOT more than just a couple of tank of fish. It was a cool location to visit but I wouldn't waste my money on going again. I'd recommend for families with small children. Although small, there was some cool creatures to see. This was our first outing since quarantine and the best part was seeing families and couples enjoy being out in public.
Simon Liszka
The place is always buzzing! There’s a lot to see and can keep your attention for hours. My daughter loved the penguins and the massive turtles. The animals are cared for greatly and the place is extremely clean. We always find ourselves here every time we come to Boston and will continue too. The gift shop is a little overpriced for what they are selling, would like to see more options for stuff animals.
Stephen Vacca
Its a great experience every time I come here. Inside is a little dark but a lot of fun to walk around and enjoy everything.
Daniel Babicz
My wife and I went on a whim while we were in Boston. Excellent little aquarium with plenty of tanks for you peek into and take in all the wonders of our world. Penguins, and seals, and seaturtles, with a variety of fresh and saltwater fish for you to take in.
$35 a ticket grants you entry for full price adults. There is a gift shop for you to take home that aquarium memory for
Kelly Brown
Would give it 10 stars if I can!! This is one of the best aquariums I've been to. There is a touch pool which is great for adults and children. The penguins are a riot to watch. We could have spent all day there just watching the social interactions of the penguins.
Phil Jackson
My wife and I had a good time. Before we entered there was a sea lion exhibit outside. We liked that. When we walked in there is a large penguin display.
There was a good amount of things to see. We enjoyed it.
Micaela Stenson
Been here many times but today was the first time since the pandemic started. It has gone downhill. Several exhibits were closed for maintenance, much less fish on view than on previous visits. Also seemed Ike nobody was working except at the entrance- way overcrowded even with timed tickets. Parents not watching their kids pound on glass, screaming everywhere, and coughing. It was RSV paradise!
Electryo Argyris
One of the best aquariums in the states. My toddler loves the touch tank, and the divers who clean the huge cylindrical center tank. The staff is highly knowledgeable and the available talks/events are great. The upstairs cafe also has great views. I can't comment on the food since I'm a vegetarian.
Malita Monroe (Goddess of War)
I had a wonderful time! Petting a stingray for the first time was awesome. ❤️
Meg & Brian Trainor
This place is phenomenal!! We have been visiting for a lifetime and yesterday was so wonderful! The exhibits were so interesting and informative. The woman staff member at the top of the tank was great! Other staff could smile at the visitors? I know they are busy but important… the octopus and sea turtles-legendary!

The New England Aquarium is a popular tourist destination located in the heart of Boston. The aquarium is home to a wide variety of marine animals, including seals, sea turtles, sharks, and more, and is a great place to learn about and interact with these amazing creatures.
One of the standout features of the New England Aquarium is its impressive collection of marine animals. The aquarium has several large tanks that are home to a wide variety of species, including everything from tropical fish to penguins and seals. There are also interactive exhibits that allow visitors to get up close and personal with some of the animals, such as the touch tanks and the seal encounters.
In addition to its exhibits, the New England Aquarium also offers a variety of educational programs and events, including guided tours, lectures, and workshops. These programs provide an opportunity to learn more about the animals and their habitats in a dynamic and engaging setting.
Overall, the New England Aquarium is a must-see destination for anyone visiting Boston. The aquarium's impressive collection of marine animals and wide range of educational programs make it a fun and informative place to visit.
Stacey
One 4 story center tank with spiral walkway and various small regional side tanks. Plus colonies of penguins and some fur seal and sea lion rescues. A solid small aquarium. Visited around 90 minutes.

Amazing aquarium and has one of the largest aquarium tanks in the world that's there. Plenty of other exhibits as well. They have penguins and other fantastic creatures as well. Definitely worth bringing the whole family together to visit.
Algerys Lopez
It's always nice being at the aquarium. I wish they had more interactive activities or exhibition for the kids.
Jewel Brock
We had an amazing time at the New England aquarium! They were a bit overly cautious about the masks but I guess safety comes first. I was a little disappointed that the shark exhibit was down. I was also disappointed that the stingray touch was down. I had to have a time slot before being allowed to enter. Thought that meant maybe there would be more social distancing but as it turns out, there were still hundreds of people there so I'm not sure why they were so strict on the time that we had to be there or we couldn't come in nor could we get our tickets refunded. To me that sounded like we were going to be alone in an exhibit by ourself or something but that is definitely not the case. They had a great variety of fish. I loved watching the sea lions! All together it was definitely worth the money. I will definitely be back.
Reynaldo Lopez del Rincon
Small put impressive. The spiral design with ascending/descending ramp is interesting & really moves the crowd (Xmas eve) in a logical manner. The 🐧 are uniquely entertaining and the major center spiral tank is cool. However, the operation is rather average in comparison to powerhouse facilities such as the Baltimore Aquarium, Sea World displays, or Monterey Bay. Really wished they had larger 🦈s; albeit, their ray's petting tank was a big hit with the kids.
Daniella Pacheco
Always a great time. Love seeing the penguins and Myrtle the turtle! Two exhibits were closed sadly, but understandable due to the animals and covid.
Ryan Bagley
How can you not visit the Aquarium when in Boston? This place is huge and worth the entrance fee, even if you can only swing through for a short time! The exhibits are great and show a variety of aquatic life. The larger ones like the penguin and the main giant tank can take a long time to absorb and see everything swimming about. That can become a challenge if the place is crowded since all the benches are taken. It certainly prevents a relaxing absorption of the wonders of nature but I will definitely sacrifice that so that more can enjoy it! It isn't supposed to be a quiet museum and the atmosphere definitely reflects that fact.
Ashmita
Well maintained with a nice variety. Educational details for the interested. Not very large, and some sections are closed for maintenance, but overall good. The octopus and giant turtle were my favorite.
melissa perron
Very nice! Very informative about all the animals… all animals/fish looked healthy and tanks were clean… I only had one concerned about the size of the seal tank, there were 4 seals in a very small area. But otherwise it was very nice place to take my pre-teens…
Steve Girard
Took my son here for the first time and he had a blast. I haven't been in thirty years. It was very nice to see my son enjoy this as much as I did at his age. Maybe when it warms up we can do the whale watch. Great family experience for sure.
Jodie Johnson (JJ)
This is a beautiful aquarium! A must-see experience! I especially LOVED the penguins. There's Myrtle the Turtle as well; a gigantic sea turtle. Lots to explore here, but extremely noisy, crowded and dark. Gift shoppe very expensive. Good luck parking too....crazy area! However, these animals are worth it. The sea lions were adorable! Arrive early, it sells out by early afternoon. We had a go-city pass, so no issue.
Norreida Reyes
Amazing sea life!!! But bring a mask. Was there on a Friday afternoon the first week of September and it was packed with wall-to-wall families. Could hardly move without bumping into someone. Worth it, though. Sea dragons and jellies so incredibly beautiful.
Landis Rojas
It's a beautiful aquarium, something expensive the ticket, you can see a lot of fishes and penguins too, the turtle and seals are beautiful.
The store have a lot of things to buy and toys for the kids too.
Mahendran Murugesan
Went on Sunday, it was full with the crowd. Buy tickets in advance.
Good place for kids to spend time.
You can spend 2 hours here. There are parks near by to explore. But preferable place for adults. Do not park in the aquarium garage , it will cost more (Paid 19 dollars for 30 minutes). There are other parkings nearby that will cost 14 dollars per day.
Joseph Lagalla
Probably one of the biggest tourist spots in Boston, but I'm always happy and proud to support them and visit when I can. The exhibits are consistently a joy, and you hardly ever find an unfilled tank. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Ask them about the animals and they're likely to tell you more than just facts. They make a bond with them, probably their names and have stories too.
Elizabeth Traner
The animals were friendly and amazing! I had several friends come out and give me beautiful smiles for their pictures. The touch tank was a wonderful experience and the octopus is too cool!
Carolyne Pr.R
I have visited many different aquariums in my life and I must say this is by far the cleanliness, with the most varied and healthy species I have ever seen. The building itself is so impressive too with its architecture surrounding a massive main tank allowing visitors to admire many different species in harmony. The Aquarium allows for purchasing of cruises to see whales and it's definitely worth it. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. 100% recommend.
Pedro Andres Otalora
Great for kids! Two hours is enough to see everything inside.
Barry Yen
Well, it’s lower than my expectation ~
Some creatures are beautiful and close to see, but
The aquarium is little small and parking lot is another problem you need to figure out!
Helen Harris
I visited the aquarium with my kids from Philadelphia on September 18 and they loved it and can’t wait to go back. We made some purchases at the gift shop and then drove 6 hours home. When we got home and opened the box the person at the gift shop forgot to put my daughter’s glass octopus in the box. She’s 7, so you can imagine the tears. I’ve contacted the aquarium and they shipped it to me. Great customer service!

Ehhh... just so so.
Nothing to write home about. To many people, in to small of space.
Strollers, kids throwing themselves on the floor... 🙄
But my daughters & husband enjoy it. …
Uday Hanamshet
It's a nice place to take kids to understand the marine life. An enjoyable outing.
riley clark
Loved it! Worth ur money and time. Great for people of all ages! I really enjoyed my visit to the New England Aquarium.
Volo Ludo
What a great aquarium. The penguins are charming. But the high light is the giant reef tank that rises several floors up.
Katrina Parra
It was a nice stroll. It felt very crowded though. Not much to teach kids with or anything interactive at all. The sharks and sting ray exhibit was pretty cool too. I would not come here with a child under 5, and even more so on the weekend.
Jennel Munsell
I was very impressed by this aquarium. They have an incredible selection of fish from a variety of regions. I was sad that the shark area was closed the day we were there. The seals and seal lions were adorable and active when we were there.
D
You walk in and there are penguins, what!!! So cool! I think they have three turtles, one being around 90 years old. It's a huge glass tank that has you circling around it. There are many people so be cautious of times to go. Take your time, there is a beautiful octopus, sea horses, and even jelly fish that many missed due to moving fast.
Ed Brooking
I've been coming to the aquarium for over 30 years
It's wonderful
Kailee Miller
Definitely a great place to go to even as an adult... I haven't been since I was a kid and its kinda crazy how expensive it is but there is a lot of cool things in there. My favorites are the penguins and the touch tank with the sting rays and sharks. I do know if you have a Boston Public Library card, you can get free passes to go. Definitely worth getting one if you live in Boston!
Ann True
My daughter's took me for my birthday Saturday..05/08,, I had a blast ☺️.. . I loved everything.. I was so overwhelmed..so much to see.. beautiful everything.. omg the penguins were so adorable.. the seals were really funny.. I enjoyed just watching them.. last time I was there was one I was 13 and I'm 54 now.. I will definitely be back.. hopefully we'll be able to pat the stingrays. thank you for making my day ❤️
kendall j
a bit crowded but great anima view! many types of aquatic animals !
Jessi Conley
My son was home on leave and visiting the aquarium was top priority!
April Melo
The New England Aquarium is a classic stop for locals and tourists alike. Beautifully designed, visitors can stroll around the central tank and gaze at fish for hours. Get there early as it becomes quite crowded! My kids love the touch tank and the penguins.
carrie thibault
Love the New England Aquarium! I grew up going here and the penguin exhibit is spectacular. The only thing I was a little upset by was the very small tanks for the lobster exhibit. They could barely turn around. Fix this and they would be 5 stars!
Stacey Cox
We went with our 16 yr old, had a great time. With older kids it may only take a few hours.
Joseph Sadlon
Fun times if you're a fish fan. A bit pricey and they close their touch tank unannounced for several hours to do maintenance. No issue with doing maintenance but would like to know when it is happening and for how long so I can plan better.
daniel schuette
Generally it's nice, but of all the aquariums I have visited around the US and world this is the smallest. Essentially there is one tank in the middle that 20ft in diameter and 25 ft tall with 15-20 tiny auxiliary displays and tanks. The penguins in the base of the exhibit it pretty nice.
Fred
This place is great even though it's crowded. Parking is around $40 so make sure you have an entire day planned when you come. The Penguins were awesome and so are all the fish. The seals are extremely depressing with the repetitive motions
mazinkaiser30
Best place to visit highly recommended for the family or dates and close to great restaurants
Weeblegurl88
Way overpriced! Luckily had 50% passes from the library. Seemed very crowded in there and smaller than I expected inside unless I missed some exhibits. The huge tank in the middle was very cool and the giant turtles were very exciting!
Ken Hannah
Great way to spend a few hours. The main display is fantastic. Touch tank is a hit with kids. Lots of side tanks with everything from tropical fish to sea lions. Very educational.
Maddie Anderson
20 thousand sea critters! how cool is that?! as a swimmer it's incredible to see these animals just glide effortlessly through the water. It's on a pier too so you're "going to the water" as you walk in. 35 is a reasonable price to see these incredible specimens up close
Zak Haque
Great experience. Loved the penguin exhibit. Went as an adult with no kids, but saw tons of kids there and seemed really family friendly. Book your tickets online to save some time and hassle.
Farhana Akter
Worth every penny! Its the biggest aquariums I have been to, the building interior was awesome. Best part was the Shark and Ray Touch Tank. My son absolutely loved the experience!!
Joseph Chow
Admission required to visit the museum and gift shop. They didn't sell penny albums.
Will LaRose
The New England Aquarium is pretty good. At this point it's clear they have essentially forgone all covid restrictions (social distancing enforcement is non-existent) but I suppose this is fine as long as your vaxxed and waxed. Overall it was a pretty good experience, definitely recommend going up the outer ramps and looking at everything there then going down the circular ramp, that's the best way to experience everything. The seal exhibit outside was very interesting. Penguins were cool. Signage at each individual tank was well placed. Really great for kids.
yeshads
The exhibits are lively and active. The penguin were excited and making lot of noise. Special thanks for well maintenance. Good place to bring young kids and introduce them to the life in the waters.
Peter Loomis
A lot of nice exhibits and a wide variety of fish. It was very crowded but everyone just shuffled along.
Krysta Palmer
Great experience kids had a lot of fun!
Scott Topjian
Very nice place. Exceptionally clean! All of the animals seemed happy and healthy! The various species and habitats were great. The main tank is awesome. 95y.o. 550 pound turtle was cool! Sting ray petting tank. Fanuiel Hall is only two blocks away for eats and shopping. Lots to do. Penguins, seals and other stuff too. Check it out!
Erick Kennard
Great family friendly learning experience.
Something for everyone and more!
The touch tank is an excellent experience for kids, very friendly.
Charlie Creech
Cool little aquarium but not a huge attraction. We barely even spent an hour walking around the exhibits and that was even with fighting the crowds of people.
Taylor Boyle
The touch tank is currently closed, but it was still fun to see them swimming about. The central reef was our favorite exhibit. I recommend scheduling your tickets to save time. After you visit the aquarium, be sure to walk around the wharf!
Steven Lee
Nice aquarium, lot of things to see.
Michael Hennessey
This is one of my absolute favorite places in the whole wide world, and in the 9 years since I last visited it has only gotten better. A perfect place to lose yourself in the majesty of nature for a few hours. The National Aquarium might be in Baltimore, but the nation's best aquarium is right on the Boston Harbor.
Joceline Lopez
We loved visiting this aquarium. It’s good for all ages- fine for people in groups or alone. This place is perfectly set up for social distancing and has markers on the ground so you can go in one direction and be able to see everything. We really enjoyed watching the turtles in the spiral tank swim around clumsily. The workers were also friendly.
Rickey Dial
A very nice aquarium, well worth visiting.
Dennis Errichiello
Nice aquarium, nothing special and relatively small.
Joey Dowdy
Very nice aquarium with a great variety of sea life to experience! They also have a stingray petting area which is nice for an aquarium this far north. There is a HUGE penguin area as well and they are ADORABLE.
Billy Tu
Really cool place! The aquarium has tons of different exhibits - penguins, octupuses, sea lions, to name a few. It’s expensive to get in but super worth it.
Arun Nair
Wonderful Experience ! Really like the design, with large central spiral aquarium with exhibits on each level! It is located at a busy spot , no parking of its own, but a paid parking is available nearby. Worth paying a visit if you are at Boston Long wharf for the whale watch or any other cruises !
Nikki
Great, fun aquarium and clean. We had a blast!
Tim Fox
Awesome experience for my wife and 2 year old. Facility appeared to be staffed well and the animals well cared for. Great diversity in the exhibits and price was agreeable as well. Would recommend!
VidiotLibra
Fantastic aquarium. Even with COVID limitations, it still felt very interactive and engaging. Only thing that I would suggest is the addition of benches. We had folks in our party who occasionally needed to sit and rest, and that wasn't really available.
Karen Spinali
Very cool aquarium with a variety of exhibits. However, it is excessively crowded during the weekend. Consider visiting on a weekday if you are able to
Kali Mai
I really enjoy this Aquarium especially the layout of how you go around it and the center is a giant tube tank that goes all the way to the top floor. Everyone's favorite was watching the giant turtles swim and getting to pet stingrays. The only down side is its not that big I would say you can go through the whole place 3 hours tops even at a slow pace.
Amina Lamouaden
This is my best 👌 place for my kids and me I have great memories ♥ …
Anthony Steele
Real nice aquarium to check out. Some thjngs were still closed due to covid , but we still had a good time. We got to see the penguins get fed ans such
Nikhil Karkare
Not a huge aquarium but still a great place to bring your kids. 1 hour is usually enough. It gets too crowded on the holidays, so I won't recommend visiting this aquarium during holidays.
