Calm, peaceful and a wonderful place to hang out. Beautiful greenery with decent walking trails. Be sure to visit if you want a relaxing park with some good photo spots. I've loved my walk every time here. One of my favorite weekend spots!
Olivia Greene (Ollie)
I visited Garden in the Woods for the first time in April. Although not much was in bloom, it was still a very lovely experience. I loved seeing all the little turtles in the pond, and all the plants, tree’s and flowers that were in season. All the trails were well kept, and it was very clean. One of the trails that goes off the main path over the little spring was so peaceful. We just set on the tiny bridge over the spring and listened to the water trickle. The gift shop was very cute and the employee’s were kind and informative. I am definitely going to visit again soon.

Lovely woodland garden with well maintained walking paths. Great native plant shop to buy anything that caught your eye, plus a cafe and gift shop. Highly recommended!

This is a nice place to take a walk if you enjoy peace and nature. But if you're passionate about native plants--or have a strong interest in ecology or conservation--it is the most magical place in the world. My husband and I spent hours here even though the trails are fairly limited. There's just so much to see and so many places to sit and listen. Keep the good work, Garden of the Woods volunteers! It's not easy to maintain such a thriving native woodland these days and your efforts are appreciated.

A beautiful, well maintained garden with many trails. If you don't stop to admire all the plants, you can walk through all the trails in about an hour. $16 might sound pricey to some but it is probably going to conservation efforts. They also have a lovely gift shop and education center.

So impressed with Garden in the woods. My 4 year old loved it here. Great education. So we’ll maintained. Fun adventure! We’ll be back

🌱 Hi highly recommend this place if you're looking for a beautiful short nature getaway, expecially in the spring and fall and if you love local plant life! I went last month in may for my birthday and had a lovely time getting to see all the local flowers in bloom 🌸 The staff was just so sweet and helpful and was happy to chat about the place and give us tips on what trails to take. There's lots of different habitats set up showing off the local plant life to appreciate. I definitely want to come back with a sketchbook to really appreciate the sanctuary more! Make sure to reserve your tickets online in advance and I hope you have a lovely time too 🌼❤️

This is a nice way to spend an hour in the outdoors. You do need to get timed tickets online in advance. Once you get there there’s a simple loop you can walk around, and there’s an app with information about all the spots. There are also three loops to walk around. You can also buy plants here if you’d like

Well maintained and it is a nice spot to visit at least once. If you have kids, it'll probably be a very nice day trip. I was lucky enough to go and see some blooms around.
Plus, the turtles were adorable.

Loved Garden In The Woods. Great for Familes & easy on the feet, kids activity area and so much more! Took my mom and my fiance here's a few pics!

Fantastic place to visit for a short walk. The path is wide and well made- more like walking on a dirt road (as opposed to many hiking trails in New England full of rocks and roots). Wow there were way more flowers than I expected to see on a mid-September day.
Parking lot and restrooms not available due to Covid-19. We parked on a public road and walked in - it was easy & a short walk, this was a weekday however and I imagine parking is probably more of a challenge on weekends.
We found a clean restroom available at a nearby Shaw’s grocery store (go to the 2nd floor).
Highly recommend checking out Nzuko for a delicious meal or snack after a walk at Garden in the Woods!

Maybe the best place to be at 10 on a day with nice weather. Also, fall is not to be missed! Take some time to appreciate native foliage in your own backyard.

Gorgeous place. Visited end of Aug. 2020. Their Covid-19 guidelines were very clear and we'll managed. Garden was absolutely stunning. Would love to visit during each season to see how much the plants change.
Will Harrington
oh my gosh it's so pretty here.
There were so many adorable animals and plants and well made wooden benches.
10/10 would enjoy nature again

Beautiful. Nice one mile loop with ancillary trails as well. Main trail has gravel the whole way while the side ones switch to dirt. There is also a nice play area and occasional presentations.
Daria Shcherbakova
Amazing park, great short trails. We also spot dozens of turtles 😍 …

It's very beautiful, well maintained, clean and rich with plants. Easy to reach from the main road. This botanical garden has so many native plants as well as the combination of nature and humanity. A must visit place, kids would love it!

This garden is not only stunningly beautiful, but also serves an incredibly important purpose as the location of the headquarters of Native Plant Trust, which is an organization dedicated to educating the public about the power of native plants to restore our ecosystems.
A must see for anyone who wishes to bring healing to our earth or simply wants a moment of true peace in the beauty and stillness of nature!
John Engelhart
Beautiful natural setting with native plants everywhere. Each season is completely different. Native plants for sale at their store.
Michele Marques
The garden is beautiful. I love walking through it in different seasons. I was able to arrange a cart tour for a visit with someone who is not very mobile. The tour was wonderful. However, it was a surprise that none of the restrooms are accessible.
Stephanie Ellissa Merced
So beautiful, educational and peaceful. Will be going back in the summer to see summer blooming flowers and some fruit!
Kathy Adams
This place is so much more than I bargained for. Pictures can't do this place justice. It's absolutley spectacular! So natural, but still very clean and well maintained. The person who sold us our tickets was friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. An A++ experience all around. I'm going be a regular here. I can't wait t
o see it during different times of the season. I recommend wearing sneakers or a light hiking shoe to make the sidetracks easier, and bug spray is a must. But, anyone would love it.
Kai Kong
Amazingly beautiful & alot of wildlife
Joe Trolo
Very nice but don't forget the bug spray!
Will Miller
A very nice place to walk around. Good store for native plants and very helpful staff.
Emily Fishman
Very pretty place to see native plants. Doesn't seem overly groomed but that's kind of nice for a change as opposed to most botanical gardens. Signage was helpful in learning some about the plants and ecosystems. Overall, nice place to spend about an hour.
Paul Mann
Beautiful place to discover decorative native plant species
Athira Nair
Visited today. Its beautiful. Could have been a little more bigger.
Kathleen Fisher
Beautiful! Found amazing native plants I had never seen before. Bought a few and memberships for family. Fun day!
Joe Rice
Such a unique and special place!

Perfect for someone that is interested in identifying native plants. Takes maybe an hour to tour the place. Good cause. There were some art installations throughout the garden but it seemed overgrown and forgotten.
If you are mainly interested in a nice nature walk, go to cochituate state park. At least there you can walk the trails and go to the beach at half the cost.

Visited on Mother's day with my 1 year old son and husband. Lot was full and had to park a bit back from visitor center. I feel like we went too early because most flowers hadn't bloomed yet. Hoping to go again mid summer for a more colorful experience. There was a family area where kids can run around and I enjoyed it with my 1 year old. It was a beautiful day for a stroll and overall I had a great time. My son loved the turtles at Lily Pond and I appreciated that the main trail was stroller friendly.

Coming from Wisconsin visiting my in-laws I was over taken by the diamond in the rough with this garden in the woods excellent just excellent. Great walking trails even though some of the places were closed because of the pandemic but we survived it was an awesome trip strongly recommended.
Richard Cahill
It was as advertised. Nice little place. Lots of named plants. Bathrooms and visitor center not open due to Covid. Would have spent more time there if open. Outside plant store is open and service and advice was the best. Masks required. Appointments for entry required. Parking is on street a short walk away. Not an issue.
Marge Amster
Love the variety of native plants - nice trail.
Robyn Stuart
So peaceful. The planting are great
Roy
A hidden gem in the middle Framingham. A beautiful botanical garden focused in the conservation of native flora.
Natalie B.
I had a wonderful time there this past weekend. The setting is very relaxing and peaceful. The store is also great! There are tons of great gift ideas and a lovely collection of plants for sale.
Erin Perry
Wonderful place for a relaxing walk while viewing some beautiful flowers and plants. Main path a 1 mile long, with an additional 1mile of paths available.
Nellie Nikolov
Garden in the Woods is run by New England Wildflower Society, and everything in the gardens is a plant native to this area. If you are looking for formal gardens, this is not the place. GitW is much more of a wild garden and has more of a feel of a nature trail with amazing wildflowers. If you enjoy that kind of thing, then it is a wonderful place to explore. There are a couple miles of trails to explore and the scenery is beautiful. Also I recommend going in the spring if you can, as many of their blooming plants are spring flowers, but it was still very beautiful to go in August ☺
Aaron Richman
What truly beautiful, wonderful place to spend the day! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together, oohing and ahhing over the many acres of nature's beauty.
Leesa Powers
Lovely meetup place with well marked plantings labels. Wonderful gift shop and nursery with plants for sale. Covered protected area for a picnic.

Absolutely beautiful. Perfect wall for a two yr old. We enjoyed the 20+ turtles in the pond, frogs, and all the pretty insects.

As a longtime Boston resident, one of my joys is spending a leisurely time strolling through this miracle of the joint effort of Nature and Man combining to create a a piece of heaven. Yesterday the ground was blanketed with lovely wildflowers, including Trilliums everywhere, and the turtles were sunning themselves on a log in the pond. Yesterday, I saw two hawks flying above the treetops while a woodpecker was busy hammering away at a dead tree limb above my head. I hesitate to share this because I like the feeling it's a secret magical place!
Brian Busch
Lovely place for a stroll. Wide smooth paths, mostly level. Some interesting places for kids to play, too.

Lovely spot for a walk. There is an entrance fee and during Covid19 you need a reservation. Also no bathrooms so go before you arrive.
