Beautiful and easy to get in and out of. A few more destinations and maybe some horizontal walking escalators would make this place perfect. Parking is small and the drop lanes can get busy. I think the food options here are great and the rental car services are in the airport so no need to shuttle. All in all a great airport and a easy place to maneuver.

Very easy airport to navigate and to fly in and out of. Security lines are reasonable and move quickly and they have some of the friendliest TSA workers I’ve ever dealt with. The airport is very clean and has easy access just outside the terminal to get a rental vehicle. Enjoyable experience!

Great small airport. Security is a breeze that takes about 10 minutes. This is one of those airports that you can literally show up 30 minutes before your flight, print your ticket and run through security. Showing up 2 hours early for your flight is a minimum for a lot of airports, not Boise. In fact, don't waste your time showing up too early, as you will just end up waiting around. There are a few restaurants to choose from but not much. Cross Grain is a great option if you want to have a cocktail or a bite to eat before your flight. There's a 'Hudson News'-type store where you can get magazines, books, snacks, drinks, etc.. Nothing else significant to report. (Photo taken from gate B11).

Boise Airport is very nice. It is easy to navigate. It is very clean and not cluttered. It was not busy on a Tuesday afternoon and there was not line at security.

April 2022 = good luck getting parking near the terminal, save yourself the hassle and just go straight to the economy lot, park near one of the pickup points, shuttle comes about every 15min. Air side massage chairs are in a terrible high traffic area, the ones ground are much better located but not super clear on cost or time or features. Decent assortment of arcade games before and after security unique that you usually don't see at airports. Nice of bsu to have provided charging cable setups but not helpful when phone is losing juice faster than it gets it while "charging." Running late and still made it, no line at security and gates are pretty efficient to get to. Always a pleasant experience through this airport. Cool and unique that it has a little arcade on ground and air side. Like the ACH home ad display bench with charging outlets too! Love the art for sale display area(not staffed, you have to send an order or notice in for anything you want). Need more power outlets and old worn out ones replaced in all areas. 2022 Sep 9 = another smooth experience through security and on board, thanks! 2022 Nov23 = quick and easy bag drop at delta with no line, decent tsa prechek, shuttle waits a bit too long at economy parking

One of the quickest airports I go through. Flights are normally on time and security is never backed up too much. The only downside is the parking can be a but busy at times... but they are working on expanding the parking garages, so I look forward to that project being completed. Definitely will keep flying out of here as needed.

It's a nice airport. It was my first time flying out of the Boise airport, so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was a little difficult to find departures when I first got there due to construction, but it's a temporary thing. The line to check baggage was fast, as was security. The signs are pretty clear, I found my gate with no issue. They have a few gift shops and restaurants. And the staff I encountered were pleasant.

Yesterday we had an emergency at the Boise airport, and ended with an ambulance ride to the ER. But at the end if the day, I was so impressed and so thankful for some amazing people that helped us. Chad from TSA - thank you so much for helping me find the right people to get our luggage when AA was closed. You went above and beyond, and I want to say thank you! To the AA guy that searched the airport for our bags at 8:00 last night, thank you! You could have left it for someone else, but you didn't. I appreciate it so much! And to the Southwest agent near B17 yesterday that called 911, and stayed by to make sure that everything was OK - thank you. I don't know what else to say but you guys made a hard day so much easier.

Very pleasant employees, friendly, patient and helpful. Conscientious about everyone's time. Waiting areas were clean, and ample. It would be nice however, to add a Starbucks location in the baggage claim area and at the gates and charging stations at each waiting area chair in the gate area.

Nice airport, but you MUST fix your deicing operation. Efficiency, redundancy, and building in time to the schedules are critical for on time flights. I have missed several connecting in the winter simply due to deicing. Yes, it's critical, so please adjust your winter operations to avoid missed connections.

I showed up at 10:50 for an 11:50am flight to Austin and it was pretty packed - definitely the busiest I have ever seen it. Security line moved efficiently though and I got through in about 15 minutes. All staff were pleasant and helpful and the security area was well staffed to keep things running smoothly. It was a good reminder that this small airport can get busy and to allow extra time. Great experience all around! Sunday morning flight to San Jose, through security in 5 minutes. Fast and efficient service as always. Boise airport is the best!!

This place is great! It's very clean, and well-kept. The security is good. If you get there early enough, the line isn't very long, and even if you don't, the line moves fairly quickly. I don't travel very much, let alone via airplane, but every time I've been through this airport, it's always smooth. And hey, for the local planespotters here. There's a road that wraps around the perimeter of the airport so ypu can watch airplanes. The air traffic isn't too busy but it isn't always empty except for very late at night. Back on track, this airport is great. A hidden gem among the bigger airports.

In case you were wondering.... Homemade jelly is a big no-go when you get to TSA. They were nice enough about it but it definitely slowed my progress to the gate. People were cheerful for the early morning departure.

I've seen BOI change in the last 20 years (as all things do). The airport has matched Boise and Idaho's growth well. As airports go it still rates high for friendly staff all across the board. TSA performs their jobs well here and have consistently for years. Short term parking is accessible and intuitive. Long term parking (over two weeks) could use improvement. The airport location is close to downtown Boise, and right on I-84. I do not "enjoy" airports anywhere, but I do not dread going in and out of BOI.

Been here once arriving and once leaving this week. Bathrooms in "C" area are a travesty. Multiple toilets not working. No toilet paper in several stalls. No way to let staff know. A sign like "text this number to tell us the bathroom is gross " is needed.

Standard airport, the TSA process was a breeze. They do have an area for a Digital Library along with an arcade in case you're here for a few hours. I got here 1 hour before boarding and still waited 25 minutes to board, so TSA check-in is very fast.

Wow. Don’t come here if you want to hate airports. This is one of the easiest airports from check in to security to loading the plane. A breeze. Don’t think is waited in any line for more than 5 minutes. To linger to get drinks at the bar than it did to do anything here. Friendly staff and tsa was on their game. Well done 5 stars for sure

One of the easiest, most comfortable airports I have experienced. Would have given it 5 stars except for their failed attempt to only have local restaurants serving in the airport. If you want local, don't hire a management company from elsewhere to pretend and uphold local standards.

I've never run into problems coming here. Ample parking (short and long term). Dropoff/pickup areas are decent. Security line always seems to be rather efficient. Has a decent variety of food options in the terminal. They've never lost my bags.

A smaller airport when compared to major ones like O'Hare or Atlanta and such; they have some good eateries and plenty of spots in order to grab some snacks; overall, in my 2 experiences flying out of this Airport, when I interacted with Airport employees to include their TSA, they were always professional, helpful, informative, and welcoming. With exception to holiday travel, getting through Security and reaching your Terminal shouldn't take more than 15 minutes +/- 10 minutes for passengers that don't have special instructions or baggage.

Such an incredibly easy airport to get in and out of. Plenty of food options even during COVID including Einstein Bagels and Smash Burger. The TSA agents were actually really really friendly and nice, probably because the traffic through the airport is pretty minimal compared to other airports. The rental cars are right outside and really easy to get to. We are so used to huge chaotic messes at airports where we live, so this was such a breeze. Located within a 15 minute drive of downtown Boise so super convenient.

Pretty good. You don’t have to expect very long TSA lines. You can pretty safely show up 1 hour from departure and be good to go. (plan accordingly for busy holiday weekends). One gripe, they shut down everything early and open late so be sure to get drinks at the very first shop after security because good chances all the others are closed by the time you walk all the way down the terminal.

Better than LAX that's for sure. I used Avelo airlines and the flight was smooth sailing. Captain Peter was excellent pilot got us off and on the ground safely. The airport was super clean and not as crowded as other airports I been to. There was a selection of small stores and restaurants that smelled amazing as we passed.

Quick rental car drop off and easy terminal experience. We caught the TSA line at the right time, but it's likely that the Pre-check could back up and take longer than the multilane regular lines. Loved the coffee shop and attendant down stairs, she was pleasant and had great breakfast options!

Hands down my favorite Airport to fly out of. Looks modern and staff is very nice and I can always expect to go through security quickly. Has some food options not a lot but that's understandable due to the traffic that they get. Parking is also a reasonable price.

Easy to navigate. Car rental lots are right by luggage claim. Getting through security was efficient. Very good selection of shops and restaurants, though the prices are high, even for an airport. Gate area typical of most airports.

I was in and out of this airport, but one thing I didn't appreciate is deplaning and not seeing signs soon enough on where to go next. The rideshare arrow pointed a different direction but ultimately led outside where everyone else was going. Just a little confusing, but seems to be a pretty quiet airport. I love that they have a little kid area with a train.

Super small airport, never waited too long in the line. The only issue I saw is the parking lot might be crowded so you want to get there earlier and spend a bit time find a parking if you want to leave the car in there.

Building a new garage. Person should be on road entering surface/garage if it's full...we had to get a ticket, punch thru go all the way around so allow xtra time. PLUS shuttle lot shuttle drops u on lower/baggage claim area & checkin is on level one...more time.

The Boise Airport (BOI) is a small airport that is very easy to navigate. There are three accessible levels with restaurants on the first and second levels. The first level gates board the airplanes outside using stairs. The second level gates board the airplanes inside using a jet bridge (jetway). The majority of shops and restaurants are on the second level. Prior to entering the secured area you can sit outside on the second level in front of the Boise Airport (BOI) with a view of the parking garage. All rental cars are on one side of the Boise Airport (BOI) and leaving/returning to the area is very easy.

I left my cell phone in a bathroom but was helped by several individuals in tracking it down. Airport operations in particularly was very helpful, plus a great Delta rep who printed a new boarding pass for me to go back through security.

It's an airport, smaller but still inefficient as any other airport. Ended up being delayed a half hour because of lack of disability services despite seeing these services being utilized by non handicapped individuals. But that's just airports I guess. Update: Imma be real my opinion hasn't changed I just thought it would be nice to update this review after 3 and a half months but honestly it's just a small airport I mean TSA is quick but that's about all they got going for them.

I love this airport! So easy to get in and out of. Security is a breeze. And although Boise is becoming more and more crowded, this airport, so far, is never crowded. Compare and contrast to LAX or John Wayne 😖. My only complaint is that their cell phone waiting area is not very big at all. It's not even an actual lot. Just a little side area next to a parking structure. Not enough of a complaint to warrant a drop in stars, but I do wish they would consider enlarging the area.

Would have given them 5 stars but they make it impossible to enter the terminal without putting you directly in front of a pub or bar. For a recovering drunk addict like myself it made it weird. Other than that it was great. Not too crowded, security was easy (not like LAX) All in all 4/5 and if you stop trying to shove booze in my face 5/5!

It is an easy access airport, no large crowds, or long lines, and security is fairly efficient. The planes have a fairly quick turn around and take off is as easy as any airport in the nation! I was in a wheelchair, people were friendly and very helpful, I had an easy escort right to the gate. Security was very thorough, my bags and I were very well searched. Otherwise, it was among the best in the nation!!!

This is a small airport, but everyone I encountered was so nice. There was a young man assisting a passenger onto our flight. He saw that I was struggling on the here at and asked if he could get a courtesy wheelchair set up and waiting for me at SeaTac airport. I said yes and it was there for Me! Great service Boise airport.

It’s a small, efficient, clean airport located very close to downtown. It could use better quality dining options but again, it’s small.

This airport is in the progress of making several updates. Parking in the short-term lot currently is near impossible. Parking is a mess regardless on what lot you choice. They do not have “Clear” at the checkpoint and during peak hours takes roughly 30-45 minutes to get through security. Some lanes move much faster then others. They do have “precheck” and those folks blew through security in minutes. In the early AM through security, only a couple of restaurants were opened, long lines for coffee. If you are picking someone up, there is only one restaurant with no open seating. They have tables but I am guessing no servers.. I suspect once all the construction is completed, this will be a stellar airport.

TSA is always super fast and friendly, and the airport clean. Try to avoid Monday mornings though. The airport authority is really slow about updating their services though. Namely, new airlines (Avelo at the time of this writing) still doesn't show up on departing signs and baggage claim. Frustrating, since taxes on tickets, as well as the airlines themselves pay for the service. It certainly causes confusion. Early mornings (4a-6a) are pretty busy, so plan according.

It's just like flying in and out of LAX except that it's easy to access and navigate, it's extremely clean, the ticket agents there are friendly, the TSA treats you like a human being, the rental cars are easy to pick up and drop off. Come to think of it, its absolutely nothing like LAX.

Very nice mid size small airport. The TSA got us through within 10 minutes despite there being a lengthy line. There aren't many outlets for charging your devices at the gates like other airports. It has a good selection of flights. And several stores and places to eat. Very pleased everytime I get to this airport.

It was a quick check in process to check a bag and get our Alaska airline tickets. TSA security screening also went quickly. TSA staff were mostly friendly but do take their jobs seriously which I appreciated. The Boise Airport is just medium size not to big.. pretty easy to get around the airport, the gate attendance personnel were a little confusing they told all passengers one thing as far as which side of the terminal area to go to but it was actually the other side so you just had to look for the board in the terminal that said your location. Important part was we got to where we were going and got to our destination safely.

For some reason, we locals don't know to pull up to the car in front of us. You could fit three times the cars in there if everyone would pull up. There are more signs and fines and rules regarding that area than anything else, but it's just not working.

Needed wheelchair assistance (which I had requested in advance). Had to wait for more than 30 minutes and the poor guy had to push two people in wheelchairs at the same time. Security was very friendly, though and that was a thankfully short line. TLDR friendly staff. Need more wheelchair pushers.

Boise is great. Nice small airport with good access to international options. Not as crowded and easy to navigate. Will cost more to fly in and out, so if you are not familiar with flying to these smaller airports, just double whatever SFO to DEN would be, or LAX to SEA.

In 1983 the Boise airport was always practically empty, there were no long lines and no rushing. In 2021, arrive an hour and a half before your flight. Lines can be long and going through security can take time. Maybe you won't need the extra time, but it's so much better than the panic of rushing and the chance of missing your flight. This said, the staff is great and the airport clean and good looking.

Beautiful airport. Small yet efficient. Very little time in TSA! during this recent visit for some reason a lot of the restaurants etc are closed I'm sure that's due to covid but other than that it's a pretty decent little place! Car rental pickup and return a super simple I wish other airports of its size could follow suit on how they do it! My only suggestion would be to install more places to plug in and charge devices none of the chairs have them in the armrest in the waiting terminal you just have to find a random wall and plug in and charge your phone other than that great place we'll be back!!!

Very easy to get in and out. Extremely helpful staff. I was walking out with my 83 year old mom. She was having a hard time walking. An airport employee saw her struggling and ask if she needed help, I asked if we could get a wheelchair and he promptly secured one for her. I only wish I had gotten his name. It was a wonderful gesture on his part to go the extra mile!

The atrium is nice but bad lighting. More direct history of Idaho. Firefighting is good but overrunning. More about the trail, the snake, mining or logging and characters of the past. It is just not an interesting stop . Nice try. The rest of the port is a 5, great service and people.

I'm a little mad the TSA confiscated my huckleberry jam but I guess that could've happened anywhere -- I should've thought to freeze it solid before boarding. No worries about what terminal to go to for what airline...it's all in one large building. Fairly clean organized and efficient. Easy curbside pickups and drop-offs.

The airport itself is close to quite a number of restaurants which made the trip less expensive. Security was very quick and smooth, especially with Global Entry, and there were enough restrooms where we were, so our stay at the airport was short but good.

Just my size of an airport. Easy, no complicated pick up and drop off of passengers. The cell phone wait area is close and convenient. The building and structures are clean, maintained well, and well lit. The airport is just one of the many positives of living and working in Boise.

I love this airport! I love the intentionally with local art they have invested in, I like that it's easy to navigate and that its smaller so your never worried about making your flight on time. The security is always fast and efficient and the staff are warm and friendly. Wish there was more of a food selection, I think the places there are random and not at all locally based. It's literally my fav airport. It's small and the way to get out is the same as getting in. Baggage claim is all in one big room super easy to get to. Has less food options than Denver or Dallas for example, but there's healthy food options like a bagel type of shop inside with interesting stuff you can put in them. Also the burger place. Drinks. Yum.

I really like this airport. Well laid out. Easy to move about. Gates are laid out well and operations were done well so gates did not get to crowded while waiting for flights. Neighboring gates were usually empty and that allowed passengers to spread out a bit.

Boise airport is super easy to get in and out of. It's a pleasure flying in and out of here. It has reasonable food prices compared to large airports (not a wide selection, however). TSA agents were very friendly, and I got through security checkpoint at 11:30 with no one in front of me in line. I've flown in and out of Boise half a dozen times, and never had a single problem here.

This airport is easy to enter and leave. Just follow the signs. The airport was not busy at all. There is a little arcade in the baggage claim area for kids to play(.50cnt -$1)while you wait for luggage or for your family to arrive.

Large enough airport that it has some shops and restaurants but small enough that there isn't lots of traffic or lines. Security is a breeze and getting through the terminal is easy. Obviously doesn't have lots of availability in terms of flight times but if you get a flight that works for you this airport is great to fly in/out of compared to most larger ones.

Today it was the speediest I've ever witnessed Boise Airport staff and equipment working. My flight was at 6am and I arrived at 505 and was informed they stop checking in luggage an hour prior to the flight leaving. Coming from an hour away to get to the airport is already a hassle but I was scared I had missed my flight, however, they called back and assured it was ok to receive my bags and allow me try to get to the gate prior to the loading end time at 645. I was sooo happy everything was speedy today!

Great little airport. Easy to get around and the rental lot is just outside the baggage claim area, so no shuttle needed. Good selection of food for an airport this size. There are two game rooms to keep kids entertained while waiting. Security only takes a few minutes to get through.

I arrived 2 hours early for a domestic flight since I needed to hit up baggage services to get reimbursed for incidentals purchased from a lost luggage incident. At 6am the lines were incredible... I've flown through O'Hare, Heathrow and a lot of major airports and the 45 minute line through security was really unexpected. After the waits for bag check, baggage services (which was closed, sending me back into line at the ticket counter), and then the security line... I made it to my flight with 5 min to spare before thw doors closed. So....not a great experience this time through. The people at the airport are very courteous and friendly which made this 4 stars instead of much lower.

Short term parking is greatly reduced right now, so be warned. If you hang around looking for a spot and give up, they'll charge you for the 1st 30 minutes. Kind of pathetic that they planned so poorly for redoing the open parking area.

It's a pretty small airport, but sometimes it isn't always clear or straightforward. Overall, it's nice. Good, cheap food and conveniently placed vending machines.

This airport is such a gem. It's always sparkling clean, including the bathrooms, and the staff is very friendly. For a small airport, there is an adequate supply of restaurants. There is a very nice central waiting area on the second floor with a lovely view of the runway. After flying in from filthy airports of major cities, Boise Airport is almost a treat.

We’ve seen the growing pains the Treasure Valley has had on this airport. It’s working to bring carriers in, I’m sure the negotiations and pandemic didn’t help in the efforts to expand. The one negative I’ve noticed in this airport is how warm it is in the summer time. For as much as I’m in this airport I’d like to ask that a significant investment be made in the a/c - please and thank you!

This is another nice and easy experience. If you have gone through behemoth airports and their nightmares, you can really appreciate how the folks here in Boise try to make your experience. Small, it is modern and the design of it pretty straightforward. It is not pretentious. The little of the surrounding landscape was beautiful to see as well. The workers are very polite. Connecting flights were on time and boarding was seamless.

Nice selection of local food here. Many airports feel cookie-cutter made. With the same set of stores everywhere, this airport is the exception. The TSA here is super friendly and the architectural design leads to easy navigation and relaxed atmosphere. This is one of the best airports I have been to.

I travel frequently. Boise airport has excellent customer service. It is easy to find all the gates & to get to baggage claim. My baggage is waiting for me at least 80% of the time. The wait has never been more than 5-10 minutes during heavy travel times. Parking is easily accessible. Taxi's & bus service is on the lower level(baggage & rental car counters ). Uber & Lyft have a pickup & drop off area on the upper level. The upper level has ticket counters & all travel to & from gates. There is free internet service that is accessible anywhere in the airport. It is a pleasure to travel through Boise Airport.

I have flown out of more airports than I can count and this one is extremely convenient as my new home base. There are a smaller number of gates to make reaching your flight that much easier. Fortunately for me, they have a direct flight that reaches my most common destination. The security line is usually pretty easy to get through, enabling you to get to the airport not too much earlier than your scheduled boarding time. The food choices are pretty good when you need to eat there before your flight. I really enjoy flying into and out of this airport.

Easy to get around, well it's a small airport so of course, but still. There's no other airport I'd rather fly in and out of.

The Boise, Idaho Airport (BOI) is still one of my favorites. Although it is fairly small, it has all the amenities one could require. Boise Airport in one word: *Quaint*. Compared to any major airport, it's lines are nearly non-existent. Without long wait times, I always find myself with spare time to kill. Crazy, right?! Thankfully there's a few restaurants, shops, and cabinet video games to quench idle time. Upon arrival here, there's never long until pulling your baggage, hopping in a cab waiting at the curb, and getting on home.(which is only a hop and a skip away thanks to the central location:) Layout, flow, and usage; I appreciate how simple and straightforward everything is in this airport is. Always a great airport experience. Too bad JFK, LAX, and O'Hare aren't more like this!

I personally love this airport. It’s small, never crowded, extremely clean, everyone that works here seems somewhat professional, and the parking is always great. My only complaint, would be about the Allegiant staff and the TSA staff that work at this airport, they have terrible costumer service, are inconsistent, and seem easily overwhelmed. But, overall, I do enjoy flying into/out of the Boise airport.

This is a very efficient airport, small but pretty well appointed and placed. However, during the covid situation, most of the shops are either closed or operating only partially, especially food places. Eat before you go through the TSA check.

Airport itself is fine but THERE IS SEVERAL COFFEE SHOPS IN EVERY CONCOURSE. You might think this is a good thing but it's not I went to several trying to get a decent cup of coffee and was disappointed by each one. these coffee shops are just not good and under manned and frankly the airport should just end their leases and allow a couple Starbucks to come in

This is probably one of the best airports out in the world. Every staff member there cares about the passengers and is always willing to help out, needless to say, they almost always have a smile on their face as well! The TSA officers are also very nice as well, they also have a great, yet professional sense of humor too, and know that passengers need to get places! They do a great job at getting tons of people through security efficiency and quickly, and all at the same time, staying happy and caring at the same time! There is also a decent selection of food there to eat here too! And best of all, there are big windows looking out at the runway so you can watch planes take off and land while you get a bite to eat. This is a very good airport!

Usually wonderful airport.. on October 4 I was unable to get a parking spot and was forced to miss my flight? Cost me nearly 500 bucks! And so I was also forced to drive to Portland? No warning no nothing.. this is 100% unacceptable in 2018.. reimbursement? Nope.. no apology nothing.. very bad boise airport..

Always loved this airport. Not the broadest selection of dining (and most of the choices they do have aren't great), but they seem to be improving on that. Besides, it's an airport. One doesn't go there to eat. It's small, easy to navigate, and TSA lines are usually shorter than most airports I have flown. Not to mention... easy access off the 84, central in-town location, and cheap/easy parking are a bonus.

On May 14, 2020, I was going through the Boise Airport and went back to security because I had misplaced a very important envelope going through the security checkpoints. They could not find it, an I could not find it anywhere either. Later as I was waiting for my flight, I was approached by a security officer named Tony. (I believe his last name started with a K.) He said he had overheard my problem, and went back and reviewed security tapes. He was able to tell me that on one of the tapes, he saw the envelope sticking out of a book which I had then placed back in my bag. The envelope was quickly located exactly where he said and I was able to board my flight with much greater peace of mind. Wow!!!! Major attention to detail there! Anyone who goes through this airport can feel safe, if this is how they operate. I could not believe that he would do something so thoughtful when it was of no consequence to him. He deserves a raise in my opinion! Thank you Tony!

Get there 3 hours early of you plan on eating Smashburger--2 hours for security just in case, and 1 hour wait for a mediocre burger. If you are flying south and are hungry, trust me (Im fat) bypass Smashburger and grab Whataburger in Texas or Louisiana....probably get to eat faster.

No frills airport, but the bags usually pop out within 10 min or less from arrival. Great availability of rentals- makes it easy to putz around locally or head up to the hill. Minimal eating options, one solid everything Idaho store right as you go through security- stones, wines, famous chocolate marshmallow potatoe things.

Literally the worst airport experience I've ever had. Due to a reduction in travel, thanks covid, flights are being "pieced" together. So I myself with a layover in BOI. I get off my flight and wander aimlessly for a few minutes. I start down an escalator and the guy perched at the exit uses his 2 fingers to call me over. First of all, I'm a grown up, let's act accordingly. He tells me the the area I'm in is closed and I have to exit. I explained my layover and he said doesn't matter you have to exit. Its now 1130pm in BOISE where am I supposed to go? He said anywhere outside the door. My issue right then was not him telling me I couldn't be there but failing to tell me what I could do. I end up on the floor in the rental car area until a very kind police man helped me up and helped me to find these benches that are void of arm rests so I could sleep a little. Thank you officer.

Such a positive travel experience, a mid-size airport that is well-located, easy to manage, full of friendly staff, and modern check-in facilities. Forbabfrequent traveler like me, a breath of fresh air. TSA security lines move quickly, professional staff. Once beyond TSA, there are a pair of large stores for anything you'd need, and ample food options. I appreciate the fast, free WiFi, and they also offer a Boise Mobile Library section that is both creative and efficient. Baggage claim very efficient. Overall, a terrific airport that is both user-friendly and clean.

Along with the Tampa airport, this is my favorite in the U.S. Love the laid-back, uncrowded, first-class environment. There's no need for a VIP lounge, just get a cup of coffee and sit in the huge open cafe, which has wall-to-wall windows facing the runway. One time I had an hour to spare, since security goes fairly fast, and I sat there looking at the runway and the mountains in the distance. There wasn't a single flight during that hour, but I did watch a tumbleweed tumble all the way down the runway. Now that's unique. Won't see that in Heathrow or Frankfurt.

It's a smaller airport that doesn't have some of the features I expect from airports in general. There are not many options for food and the baggage claim doesn't list which carousels have luggage from the planes. It took a long time to find luggage. Also has a very small ride-share area that could have more lighting for night time.

From my experiences here, there are usually no long lines at check-in or security and the check-in staff for Alaska and Southwest (airlines most often flown out of BOI) are very helpful. The airport is clean with restrooms and a number of eateries. The arrivals and departures drop-off areas sometimes see increases in traffic, making it occasionally tough to find a spot in line to pick up or drop off.
