Reviews of Maryland State Fairgrounds Offices - See Fair & year-round dates & times on marylandstatefair.com
Danielle J Moore
My family and I visited the Maryland State Fairgrounds for years without issue.
Today we went to the State Fair and my findings are as followed:
The prices are steep and the food is decent. They had a couple new rides this year for the older kids.
There is something available for children of all ages to do.
Parking was $15.
Kids 5 and under are free to enter.
Adults $10 admissions fee
Wristbands were $35 for unlimited rides (it doesn't apply to all rides) , if you intend to get on rides, get a wristband. Don't bother getting a card with points because the rides take minimum 34 points and you'd be lucky to enjoy 3 rides before you run out.
The bathrooms were clean everytime we stopped in and the staff was helpful and friendly.
We visited the Fairgrounds for the Dino World exhibit prior and enjoyed that as well.
I recommend the Maryland State Fairgrounds especially for large events.

This is a great place to go, whether it's for a sporting event or something like an RV show. There's usually plenty of space to park, and it's easy to get to off of York road. We went to an RV show and it was pretty nice. My wife and I got in our 4200 steps for the day at the RV show.

Visited the Fairgrounds for the RV show. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of the venue. Bathrooms located on either side of the event were kept clean and had plenty of soap. Food venues were lacking, but there are plenty of options outside of the Fairgrounds.
RV vendors were all over the venue, but were never pushy. The plus for Monday was free admission for Military and First Responders.
They had a good selection, but considering the Hershey RV show is the the same weekend, you are better off going to Hershey to see 4x the RVs and vendors.
Nurah Smith
A great experience. It was easy to get in and get out. The bathrooms near the race track were very clean. From experience only buy the wristbands for the rides not the card. Most rides were in service. A plethora of food options
DJ Smith
Honestly the animals made my day! Such a great time with the animals minus the smells… I came in on the Timonium entrance by the OTB building I parked for $10 near the gas station and this entrance led straight to the animals! Horseland is first where the kids can ride ponies. There’s also a kiddie park with smaller rides in that area. The food options are endless and the smells are extremely tempting! There were 3 bar areas selling adult beverages, one called south beach which has pineapple drinks. There’s also mechanical bulls and axe throwing! Be sure to bring CASH because many of vendor charge fees for using your card.

went for a wine festival and had a great time! tons of parking, a few minutes walk away from the grounds. It's a large field so it never felt too congested even though there was a pretty good turnout. woumd absolutely do it again!
Kymical Denise
An adult day at the fair with my gf ... Parking was all around from $10 to $20. Standing in line $10 to get in. It smelled like animals, horses and cows but that's to be expected. There were lots of different types of vendors and fun things to do for people of all ages to include games, petting zoo, fun rides, great different types of food, and a Rollin piano player. The bathrooms was ok, the vendors were nice. I placed a bet on the horses where I got instructions from the lady behind the counter because I did not know how to bet and my horse, Social Equality won.. the jockey was nice enough to take a picture with me. This is a yearly fun-filled event for all.

Leave early to give yourself plenty of time to arrive. Be prepared for traffic and slowdowns around the fairgrounds.
The fair is fun and has many exhibits and rides to enjoy.
The photo is the garden exhibit. The MD Master Gardeners have examples and techniques to grow your own gardens.

The 1st week of 2022 Maryland RV Show in MD State Fairgrounds Timonium was packed and successful because most of the RV’s have tagged ‘SOLD’ sign!
We bought tickets online and printed them out to make it easier while checking in, we’re stamped to make it easier in and out between buildings durinb that day.
There are 3 buildings that open for the show, and they are not connected to each other except the main building, so we must walk between parking lots to get there, show your stamp for checking in.
The 4th building has the most amazing rv, especially the vintage options which are all designed to experience time travel to 50s but with most recent appliances.
If you miss this weekend, don’t worry you still have time to plan better for next weekend. Go get RV and start traveling!

I honestly expected a lot more from the Maryland State Fair. I imagined it to be a huge area with large exhibitions on the states agriculture and technology innovations. However I found it to be mainly have turned into an amusement park. There were also limited food options and not a lot of classic state fair food available.
Carolyn Lilly
It was absolutely beautiful, we had so much fun @ the MD State Fair. I'm thinking about going back on the last weekend, that's how much I enjoyed being there.
Amleset Neguse
Kiddos loved it, from the haunted house rides, cheese fries and fresh squeezed lemonade to the giant ferris wheel. Maryland State Fair is ongoing until September 6th, overall it was too much fun with cool vibes!
Sherri Lewis
Great fun to be had by all, so many activities for all ages and great seeing the youth exhibit their project animals.
Tanya Gunn
Maryland State fair did not disappoint! Kids got to go into a cage filled with parakeets. Don't miss out on the turkey drumstick or the funnel cake.
Don Bailey
We took our family yesterday and had a great time. There was plenty to see, do, and eat. It was expectedly crowded given that it is the Labor Day weekend with beautiful weather, but everything from parking to ticket purchases, food purchases and rides was well organized. The people in attendance were generally very respectful of one another, and security was very evident while not being in your face. The prices were high, of course, but it is the state fair, so prices are no different than they are at most large amusement parks.
Joe West
10/22. Attended a youth shep and goat show over the Halloween weekend in the outdoor pavilion. The pens were modern, bleachers safe and restrooms fair but unattended. We did not use or experience any of the other facilities. For what we experienced it was adequate. Would we return? Sure. We have never Attended the actual state fair so no review for that event.
Carol Brown
We went to the Great Scales train show in the Cow Palace. There was several great model train displays.
Marley Miller
I love the fair and have been going since I was a child. The costs of food, drink, and rides were outrageous this year in 2022. A lemonade was 10$, slurpee was 10$, cotton candy 4$, bottle of water was 3$. Kids wrist bands were 35$ for rides. The fair also charges 15$ for parking. Lastly, none of the vendors would give our family military or veterans discounts even after we showed military ID.
Diana Reydman
Yes the place is very nice, good food, amazing rides. The only problem I have is I have two children 17 months in and 3 1/2. I bought a band for my older one, her baby sister wanted to go with her on one of the rides which is my 17 months old but the people said that I have to buy a band for her as well and for myself. I don’t think this is right that my 17 months baby needs a band because they’re rides that she can’t go on. So just a warning if you have young kids. And to buy tickets for single rides is not even worse it. I spend $20 one tickets for my baby girl to get on five rides. Very ridiculous
falloutszn
We go every year!!! Going next year and the year after that, and the year after that by the grace of God. This year my best friend joined us for the first time and now she is hooked! This place is fun for children and adults. So much unhealthy foods (loooovvvvveee it!). WARNING, it is not cheap! I would suggest purchasing your entrance tickets and if you have children that enjoys the rides, get the unlimited riding bands in advance too. See you at the state fair 2024!
Mie Han
We are having fun and lots of food to choose from.
Ms Kim
Great car show ! I met the Skinny Butcher there ! Thanks you made my day !
Mark Goodwin
A great venue for large trade shows. I go there to attend and vend at the semiannual Repticon Reptile Show. It has high ceilings, excellent AC/heat control, well-maintained equipment (tables, chairs), great restrooms, and a great floor plan (front lobby before entrance to main hall).temperature inside is well-regulated, infinite parking (it’s the fair grounds, right?). The main hall is a high-quality venue, not just a rough-and-tumble agriculture/stockyard pole-building.
Valerie Rich
It was fun but extremely hot!! The price for rides and games were ridiculously high! I cannot believe they charge $20 for a turkey leg! My granddaughter had fun so that's all that mattered.
Mary Haught
We had an excellent experience. Kennedy Kreiger always does a wonderful job. Loved all the beautiful trees, wreaths & misc decorations. They had a nice variety of vendors also.
Ted Shealy
Autism Charity - Festival of Trees - was Awesome !! Great cause too ❤️
Brad Simke
It's not what it used to be...
Seems great for kids, however, every ride seemed quite expensive.
Cindy Lou
Crowded this year since it's only open Thursday through Sundays. Birthing Center had all it usually does... got to pet baby pigs and chickens. Birds of Paradise in exhibition hall was cool... feed them for $3. No cool wild birds in the DNR hall/area due to avian flu. Plenty of police around.
king Ghoul
It was fun for the state fair! The one downside was later in the day parts smelled closer to the animals started to smell a bit like sewage. Other then that the parts around the fair itself were enjoyable, the space is big.
Random Traveler
This is a nice little fair on par with other nearby fairs. The arts, plants, and animal displays are top natch and there's tons of rides. I liked that they have a little history museum about the fair. The grandstand was more of a racetrack and didn't appear to have any big name concerts.
Brian Broomell
Good venue for events. Went to the Irish Festival and had a blast.
Michael Kolachny Jr
Unforgettable food, fun, and memories. The admission price is reasonable. The price for the ride bracelets is a little high, but we did get our money's worth in no time. The fair staff were friendly and fun. We really had a great time. Definitely try the pork sundae it was utterly incredible. Fun selection of rides, shows, games, exhibits, and of course food. There really is something for everyone.
Rhonda Rogers
Wonderful beautiful event! Would like to go again!
Tony M.
This holiday celebration benefits the patients, students and programs at Kennedy Krieger Institute and kicks off the most wonderful time of the year.
Hundreds of designer-decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses will be on sale and displayed throughout🎄🎄🎄 …
Nancy Stewart
I volunteered at Kennedy Krieger festival of trees
Lara Simmons
Loads of things to do with the state fair. I would suggest looking at the schedules and planning accordingly. Different types of animal and 4h shows showcasing animal handling, showmanship, obstical courses, crafts and farm events in addition to the rides and game. The grounds are used for other shows and events throughout the year. Carnies are less creepy than in previous years
Patricia Gummel
I have been there a few times recently. One for the dino expo and then for the gun show. Dino expo was fantastic gun show was small.
Thomas Stehr
The family had a great time at the Trifecta Food Festival. Axe throwing was a blast. 2 concert stages, and plenty of food and drinks to be had. A fantastic day, very well managed.
See you next year.
Goofy Garbing
Best fair for adult ,they still have a under seven kids area, great for family.parking is harder after 2pm,food take long time after 4pm,but very nice food, lemonade is not good.my kids like kids area so much ,we played almost 9 hours.
Steven Wasson
It was a great train show!!!! They had a lot of vendors there and layouts.
Denise Moyer
Trifecta food truck and music festival! Had a great time, live music, great food, only $20 admission!! Very clean, friendly staff/volunteers. Will definitely come back!
Alto SAXON
We had a great time! However only a few rides for kids 3-7years unless they are taller than 38".
Cris Martin
The German festival was good. It was under the bleachers so it took us a minute to find them. I'd suggest signs with arrows next time as many were confused and were asking others where to go. The festival was a lot smaller this year due to covid I'm assuming. We had a very nice time and bought a few items. The best part was the dancers and the music. We will be back next year because they announced that it will be a lot larger with more to see and do.
Jonathan George Willis
The Rhythm Surf Monkeys back to back with Barry Prosser & the Vaguely Absurd.
Dan B
Unreal. We were up close to a cow giving birth. How cool? The robot competition was awesome. The horse racing was great. Wow. We're going to go again.
IML Pinky
Bring cash!!! And a lot, specially if you want to eat... all the food truck we saw had a $2 convenience fee per transaction. Also, prices are very high, even for the games... Also, be aware that the parking is $15 and fills up quickly....
Nikki G
The fair was nice I went on last Friday it was nice weather, and wasn't to crowded which was surprising. The lil one rode all the rides he wanted the lines were decent and my older one got on her rides without much of a line. All
kinds of vendors! Foods and definitely adult beverages, and regular lol it's a nice smoothie stand there I forget exactly where. All around great time I'm going agin this time by myself 😌😂.
Nikki
The Fair is ok this year. I understand prices have went up with a lot of stuff but 20.00 for bbq chicken is ridiculous but when your hungry you pay. I believe the organizers are still doing a good job. The best part of the fair for me is the Kettle Corn Stand nice fresh popcorn.
Angela Morrison
I really enjoyed the fair. Some food was kind of pricey. Don't go Sunday on the light rail it stops running at 8:30 pm to BWI and Cromwell. Left me stranded at North Avenue.
Alana “The Queen of Hearts” H
The fair was ok. I liked the fact that you could preorder tickets online at a discounted price. I was disappointed that after a certain time the wristbands were unable to be used. I paid $25 a piece for 5 bracelets and were only able to use them for an hr which was a waste because most of that time was spent waiting in line. That was definitely not clearly communicated.
There were rides for all ages. There was a kiddie section towards the back of the fairgrounds. I was a but disappointed that some of those rides were broke and some did not have anyone working at them.
There were food and drink stations all over the fairgrounds and they also had a food area with seating.
WeedWackerWilk
It's was very fun. There were plenty of things to keep any family entertained. We played plenty of rigged games for stuffed animals 😆, road a few rides, got lost in a maze, frightened in the haunted house, followed by a motorized mobile piano player with a large vocabulary of songs he sung, live music, pig races, and more. They had ice cream, funnel cakes, burgers, fries, hotdogs, Turkey wings, chicken wings, etc etc etc. All I can say is, be prepared to spend some mullah...! ATM's are everywhere there!!! Also there were plenty of places to park either on the fair grounds or businesses near by opening their lots for families for 20 bucks a car. Check it out! We're planning on going next year! See yah!
Timothy Davis
Delivered success with the state fair had it mapped out, planned out, safety and security in place money was high this year but was really good turn out and great placement separating kids from adult rides need more guidance though show people were to go make it stand out but awesome work this year
Eve Lamb
Home of the $20 turkey leg and $9 hot dog sums up how outrageous the prices were. Hard to have fun when you are counting pennies. 😔 …
Dar Bar
Unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy the fair this year with my grandkids. I want too acknowledge the quick response from the first responders who assist my mother as she was experiencing a medical emergency at the fair..Thank you for all that you do...
Ally Oop
Great music !!!! But 8 dollars for a hot dog ...an some hot dogs 11 + Wowza we got chicken nachos the were 5 small pieces of bagged chicken for $16 no shredded cheese, Crazy ! We got Philippino tacos an shrimp an chicken rolls yum... amazing! With all the people that were there no water for washing hands at portapots . 8,9,11 for a beer ! An 15 for a crush pricey .
Dave Eaton
Wonderful time, great show!
Jennifer Ziolkowski
We enjoyed ourselves so much! It was crowded but still a terrific time. We noticed how respectful people were with keeping trash off the ground and in the trash bins.
Vic 57
Had great time seeing the animals, watching people playing the games & winning, the food looked good I only ate a little it was fun time for all who came. I would go back again.
GLORIA SHAVERS
Senior expo, a must attend event. Candidates making appearances which was nice, everything anyone needs to know about aging, services availability aging snd just having a good time with like minded people under onecroof.
Lamar Miller
Myself an my daughter had a wonderful time
Sandy Koonge
Pretty much the same ol as any county fair is just at a bigger more organized lot in Timonium. Parking is horrendous and they make you pay a very high fee in Surrounding lots. Honestly not worth it when you can go to a county fair for the same prices all around and not have to pay for parking.
Dawn'na Hansen
The fair was great I like the idea that it ran for the three weekends there were a lot of vendors, a lot of games and a whole lot of rides if you didn't go plus the animals it was awesome
Coochie Kill3r
Amazing place. Alot of cool things to see. I'll add a few photos as well. The prices were just high, 4$ per bottle watered. And it was not fiji water lol also the food was DISGUSTING I wasnt too happy about the prices ontop of it being nasty, not coo. Other then that. You will have a blast 👍l …
Osvaldo Luna
Very packed and had to wait a very long time for some of the best rides. The food was great and some of the shows were good
Bruce Jones

M&T dollar preview night absolutely awesome! Ride all the rides 3-4 times! No long lines lots of food! Love it.
Patrick R.
Have a great Wednesday farmers market from June to end October.
Have lot of cool events during the year
Howard Bolling
The fairground is the same as it's always been. This year, however, we were accosted by vendors as soon as we walked through the gate. It detracted from the overall experience.
susan adams
Best state fair every attended

beth webb
Always a great venue with clean facilities. Inky one food vendor. Train show was awesome with lots of good deals!!
Ray Bakugo
Lines are fairly long for everything and it gets super crowded after dark. If you know how to maneuver yourself around for some fun then you'll be alright but, if not, you're not going to enjoy yourself.
Jane Knott
Checked out the RV show in the 3 large buildings. Incredible how they get all those mini's, travel trailers, and fifth wheels in there.
Mary Bergelt (MaryBeth)
Handicapped ♿ accessible and also for restrooms. Kid and adult approved. Beer trucks.
Marc Soots
They are hosting the Baltimore County 4H Fair being held now Friday 7/8/22 through Saturday 7/9/22. Free fun for the whole family! Learn more about the many 4H programs, clubs and resources for children and teens! Food is served there too!
Ray Bill
Very good place for children, food is delicious, parking is hard,it’s super busy after 4pm.
Linda Miller
We came for the Home and Garden show. The place was pretty empty. Had some rooted cuttings that were extremely pricey. But we had fun. Bought a cute Bonsai tree and a birdhouse. Also some dip mixes and beef sticks. The dip mix guy was great. Professional and very friendly.
Sexy Joy
The lines was so long for everything, food & rides . Had to stand in one line while my kids stand in another. 34$ All you can ride and my kids did not get to ride maybe three rides still not enough. BUT my kids said they had a nice time. So thats all that matters..... I guess lol!!!
Dean & Cheri Endres
Was pretty good display of Christmas trees, but seemed to lack some of the holiday spirit this year
Valerie Kessler Angeliclizard
Always something fun going on here. Sometimes a pain in thr butt to get in and out due to the traffic on either side.
Marelyn Paredes
Loved being here! Still waiting for it to open at the moment. People we're very kind last year & gave us courage to go on scary rides. Food 10/10 service 10/10 bathrooms 10/10 amazing ! don't come on the weekends tho, i would recommend monday-thursday

Barry Graham
We visited a train show in the Cow Palace here. It was a large, comfortable venue for this event.
John
If coming here for an event, spend time identifying the right entrance prior to arrival. The grounds are rather massive. Especially when it's cold and windy.
SuperMarioGamer M & L
I understand everyone is there to.make money but a turkey leg for 20 dollars???? Kids had a great time
ZINIA MOHANTA

The fair itself was alright, my experience was severely hampered by the rude parking attendant though. I was spoken to disrespectfully just asking about handicapped parking for my wheelchair.
Jimmy V
Pretty legit setup. Beer, cocktails,
Food, rides, and animals for the kids.
Tammy Blake
The annual state fair in all its glory of farm animals, endless food, goodies, refill drinks for everyone and let's not forget the compact rides that will have you screaming.

raymond galmore
Lots of fun but the ride cards were bogus couldn't use all points
Gail Kirchner
Very nice festival. Good food, not busy.
Michael Rosner
Attended RV show. Enjoyed our time. Good hamburgers.
We pulled into the left lane before realizing the South entrance was closed. It was hard to get back over to go straight.
A recommendation is to place a sign visible from York road at the York road south entrance that states to use the north entrance, if closed.
Also, a no left turn and no right turn lighted signs on the traffic signal at the two York road gates, that are controlled by the MD State Fairgrounds, when gates are open and closed.
Kathy Kovach
The gun show was nice not great didn't have what we were looking for but a beautiful day
Valerie Dodd Sr.
They had plenty of food lots of games but be prepared to stand in a very very very long line but it's worth it once you get it
George White
It was a fun time 🙂. We had so much fun we attended the Fair for 2 days. …
Donna Jones
It used to be better they don't have a lot for smaller kids and the prices for anything are outrageous now
Kenneth D. Aston Jr.

Tawnee Stacey
I recently moved to MD and was super excited to go to the state fair since this is carnival season where I am originally from. I gotta say while it was nice and admission pricing was fair and reasonable overall there was some serious price gouging which made this experience a disappointment. The particular day I went they were not doing wristbands, which my understanding is they are about $32 per person. I’m not sure why they weren’t doing them, but we ended up spending $100 for two people only to be able to go on about 5/6 rides between the two of us because the amount of credits to get on them was so high. Some of the rides were incredibly underwhelming, such as the haunted house. For about 40-50 credits per person you got to ride through darkness for about 10 seconds. Farris wheel, we only went around twice. Completely not worth it. Food and drink prices were fair, and games prices were above average. I personally was not a fan of many of the game vendors, because when I tried to play many of the games I was heckled for being “too pretty to play carnival games” and I should “let the big strong man (my boyfriend) win prizes for me.” I’d go again, but honestly really only for the carnival food and to see the live stock as those are really the only things that made it worth while in my option.
Michelle Knox-Boswell
Went there for The Builders Mart Show for my company. The bathroom was clean, food was great the show was awesome this year. Made great connection with others can't wait until next year.
Z Skill Zobs
The size of the fair is impressive. It’s lot of fun for the kids & teenagers as well as the family. But they could have organized better. The lines for the rides were super long, minimum 1 hour for 1 ride. We could only make it to 3 rides in 5 hours. Even to purchase the coupons for the rides were super long. We had to give away our unused coupons as we got tired of the long waiting cycle.
Paul Bashore
This was my first time at Maryland State Fair
. I loved it and am going to make it an annual event.
Paul Hake
First time here. Took my lover here. We both enjoyed the fair. Great quality and culture. Rides are wonderful along with the food. The music was perfect. It was great to see a very warm and inviting community coming together. Will be coming back next year.
Ktmjohnny22

Had a great time! The only issue was that lines were longer than I had ever seen before! I mean rides were easily 45m wait times like at amusement parks. We waited in a face painting like for 1hr. Food lines were easily this long too. It was insane!
Joe Pometto
Always a fun day at the Maryland State Fair. Enjoyed all the events even with the heat of the day.
Quashi Mensah
We were there at the Seniors Expo. We had a great time.
John O'Brien
This Fairgrounds has so much to offer. Not only is there something going on almost all the time but you also have an off track betting facility that has some pretty good food. They also have buildings both big and small that you can rent for your corporate whatever. Centrally located also.
scott reichert
Great train show this weekend.. Something for everyone..
Cynthia Vazquez
Great experience! Used to take our kids when they were growing up. The rides are awesome. Horse show exciting, watching the animals from pigs, cows, lamas, sheep, goats, chickens, so healthy and well taken cared off amazing. The horticultural show interesting. Lots of plants and flowers to admire. Foods delicious. Had so much Arnold Palmer drink because it was free with a refill. Enjoyed the freebies esp the Chick fil e t- shirt and a card for free sandwich. So many things to see, watch and cherish. Strongly recommend for families, kids will surely have a great and awesome experience.

Grandson loved Jurassic Quest!! Such a great time this morning!!

Went there for the Irish Festival and it is the bees knees. This place has easy parking and is situated very well with good facilities. The ladies room attendant on Sunday 11.14.21 was pleasant and welcoming. I have never seen a cleaner rest room at a convention before.
Michele Whitworth
Always a pleasure to stay fair is something that I do with my granddaughter since she's been old enough to walk. This is how one thing that we do together every year we missed last year due to covid but I was able to take her back this year and she enjoyed herself. I didn't everything was too expensive a cheeseburger was $15 and that's not a combo meal
Denise RichardSon
Gem and Jewelry Show Amazing I attend them all over the DMV
Rosalind Clemons
I enjoyed looking at the motorcycles. Some were very nice and unique
Nerissa Johnson
It was great to have the Fair back this year. The food concessions had something for everyone. The animal exhibits and other halls presented traditional displays. The Exhibition Hall was disappointing. The state service, police, transportation and political representatives were professional and friendly. The candy vendor is an annual thrill to stock up on vintage candy. There was a cosmetic vendor and an electronic product vendor ( headsets or earbuds)who were totally annoying. The two gentleman selling these items were pushy and persistent after I said I wasn't interested. I was totally annoying and wanted to leave. When I wanted to circle back to visit the Mr.Atkinson's wonderful Black Baseball Exhibit, I circled around the outer row because I didn't want to deal with those jerks. I made purchases at several vendors tables where I comfortably browsed and encountering pleasant transactions.

I attend the annual motorcycle show here. Venue is perfect for show, not to shiney and glitzy.
Clayton Hamilton
It's been better but it's still the place to go!
Ray Taylor
We had a blast at the Fairgrounds last weekend and this weekend also the Cat Show was great it's been some time since we have had a Cat Show and we need more TICA time to get moving CFA the same Maryland is moving ahead and going forward. 👍 😀 …
Emily Kipp
It was fun! Lots of rides, food, games, and so much more!
Niarah Jackson
Went for my first covid shot. All of the workers were very friendly and things were organized. However, for a few blocks up to the fairgrounds, driving is pretty stop and go. Once you get in line on foot, you’ll probably be waiting for awhile. I would say try to arrive early for your appointment and start your commute earlier than you think you need to. Overall good experience.
nancy piechocki
I love Timonium Fairgrounds always have the greatest events I was there for the dinosaurs it was wonderful. All of their events are always breathtaking I go to the fair every year with the family. Was very clean following protocol for covid employees willing to help you with anything you may ask. Fairground is kept clean bathrooms were very clean
Justin Strother (Wahid)
I was there working the Fair for Higgy's!
Meggiebab
We had a great time, it wasn't to hot and not to crowded. The prices for everything is crazy. Next time I will eat before I come to the fair.
Emily Coyner
Over priced. Couldnt help the weather but super hot. Animals were cute, had cute things for kids to do.
Kristopher Saunders
🤙🏾I LOVE GOING TOO THIS!! ILL BED BACK ONE MORE TIME BEFORE YOUR GONE!😩...SEE YOU THEN😁 …
amanda conrad
Went to see the jurrasic quest. Was super packed even thou it was a time slotted event. Kids play area had alot of adults which made it hard to watch your kid. Some of the dinos had holes and broken pcs. Food was good and overall clean esp the bathrooms. Employees were great.
Maude Swearingen
Love the food and animals. Lots of family friendly activities.
Leila Johns-Sappor
Bathrooms needed work, but had a fun time at the state fair.

Great experience lot of fun can't wait to do it again

Was able to watch the horses perform jumps in person instead of watching the horses on TV.
Bob Mixter
I've been to the fairgrounds for many events over the years, but today's experience for the Covid19 vaccine was exceptional. Highly organized & efficient with friendly, courteous, professional staff at every step of the process to guide us through it. We probably spent more time after the injection in a waiting area signing up for our second appointment than it took from driving onto the parking lot until we got the vaccine. An overall good experience. Thanks to everyone working the event! Back in a few weeks for no. 2.
Jacque Gutman
The fair itself had plenty of good food and exhibits; however, no wheelchairs or scooters were available. The website specifically stated these would be available. My friend needed one, and management told me this was the first year "no one wanted to do it." This is a direct ADA violation and quite disappointing.
Angela cichetti deppe
My happy place! Every year at the RV Show the last two weeks of February. Come see Enchanted Entertainment !
Chris Worsley
Went to Maryland Toy Expo. Had a great time
Mike Miller
Way expensive!

Has a good time.. great place to take the family
Jon
For my first time visiting the fair this was a lot of fun. There's plenty to do, to see, and to eat if you have the wallet for it. I would definitely visit another time to see some updated exhibitions.
Adventure Artist
Got the first part of my vaccination at the fair grounds. It was the most organized and efficient that i have ever seen the government do something on a super large scale. Tons of workers/volunteers, super friendly, super easy. In and out in a half an hour. Set up your appointment today if you can on Maryland.gov... save your own life, save others, crush Corona.
Acen Eastridge
Nice people and alot of vendors were willing to work with you on prices.
Kanakia Feagins
State fair was nice. Get there before it's gone.
Antoinette Nnadi
The fair was fun with the kids!
Erica Meador
Nice grounds, rides too expensive and it was hard to navigate through the festivities

Maryland Home and Garden show going on now. Great vendors with lots of information to get those home projects done. Many winery vendors offering wine tasting 😋. …
Jennifer Taggart
trifecta festival was extremely well done. great experience.
Mark Goldfarb
Went to Gun Show
Great parking and handicap spaces
Very well organized event
Day In The Life Of LISA
I haven't been to any Fair for at least 7 years. They have upgraded tickets 🎟 to a card that can be reloaded. We went on the 1st Saturday they opened. They did not offer a day pass, which was unfortunate because 100 tickets for $10 only gets you on 2 rides. It is $10 entry price.
The police office did not do a good job with searching people. I saw let a person in with a knife that was attached to there Keychain.
We got there around 5pm around 7pm it became very crowded.
Kerry Boyd
Always a Fun and Enjoyable Day Visiting the Maryland State Fair!

I really enjoyed myself I go every year

My family and I had a great time!!

Visited the fairgrounds for Model Train Show. Walked to the hall and there were 3 massive halls full of exhibitors. Every kind a train and accessories were there. It was awesome to me but overwhelming when I was just looking to but a train for my Christmas Village.
John Stout
So many cool things happen here.....I love it
Mr. Edward
As we all know since Covid happened and is continuing to happen, a lot of what used to be is returning to normal. This would include the Maryland State Fair. The food vendors, carnival games, arts and crafts and events are always fun. What is a big disappointment are the rides. I couldn't get on a lot of them because of my weight. The committee should at least consider getting rides that accommodate a bigger target area, not just kids and slim adults. In conclusion: go to the fair if you love to support your state, and the fair committee needs to make some ride changes.
lynn thompson
Went to the fairgrounds to get my vaccine shot. It was highly organized and well managed. No long wait like I've heard from other places. Everyone was nice and helpful. If you can get an appointment, i highly suggest the fairgrounds.
Patrick Staub
Expensive from the moment you park. Really just a big carnival
Andrea Schnur
I went here for the RV show. This fair ground is huge. We thought it would take us a couple of visits to see everything. No.. There was only about 4-6 distributors... So disappointed.. Heading to Hershey, PA. At least the units I am interested in, have stores in both PA and MD..
Ronda Ralston
I finally went w/friends and had a wonderful time! The grounds were clean, bathrooms too!! The concessions were plentiful with a huge variety to choose from. The rides were great, I had a blast! It was over 90 but they had the event hall packed with promotions which proved to be a good thing for my friends but it was an opportunity to get out of the heat and have fun too! The atmosphere there was really laidback as well. Will definitely go again!
Marcia Lakein
Went for Covid testing.
With an appointment, it took one hour.
Nicole Baker
Fun didn't Have hardly no rided for small ones 37 on a bracelet wasn't worth it thid year for the rides
David “Lil Dave” Rice
State Fair was nice like always but was very pricey. I mean come on now a funnel cake should not cost $10 or a soda shouldn't be 7 bucks . A family of 4 would of drop a lot of money like $200- $300 without a sweat....
Josh Goren
State fair was SUPER CROWDED
Alvin Williams
Me and my family had a great time if you want to see the horses try getting there early morning to afternoon the other animals will still be out just probably not the horses
d pfeifer
FYI, if you don't print off paper tickets for admission, you will need CASH. There is an ATM but you will be charged a fee.
There are a lot of rigs closely tucked in. Would have preferred more space. Was able to see a couple we were interested in, so that was good. And it wasn't crowded, bit again due to the spacing it was tricksy to keep 6 feet spacing.
Mahesh Babu M
Had fun with lots of games and rides. Food options are fine with multiple sellers. Beer is available too but with only one local brewery when we were there. Bought few goat 🐐 milk soaps too …
Angela Greene
I went to get my Covid-19 Phizer vaccine injection and I was greatly impressed! I am disabled and pulled right up, no line & no waiting. A worker picked me up at my handicapped parking space with a golf cart and radioed ahead that a wheelchair was required. I was met with another worker and the wheelchair, he pushed me to every station! The customer service was exceptional and as they all were waiving and saying goodbye tell everyone you know that we're taking walk-ins. Simply amazing
Tony Viglione
The Maryland State Fair is lots of fun especially for kids.
Kendall Stevens
Festival of Trees was much smaller tgan expected, and incredibly busy.
Alicia Swann
Loved everything. This place is huge!

I was born (1958) & raised in the oldest farm (Hill House Dairy Farm, 1749) that was located directly across York Rd from the Fair Grounds. Our old home still is there on the hill behind the bowling alley but the land has shrunken down to abt 1/3rd an acre instead of the 376 acres when my Grandfather purchased after WWII. I was the last Huckleberry Finn of Timonium. When only 5 I began to park cars during Labor Day around our property & many came back each yr to enjoy a picnic under the 200+ yr old great elms, oaks, pines etc, then walk over to our orchard for a delicious apple, pear or peach. We even had a big grape vine. Those were the days.
I meandered as a child of abt 8 around all the fair vendors, rides, oddities of nature, good food & ice cream stands. After wandering around each day, many of the vendors got to know me. I often was offered a limited position in helping & after a couple yrs in doing this ismy talents in learning how to win several of the games ended up with Mom giggling but somewhat sternly "No More STEPHEN!" She did like some of the Fair Memorabilia like the brass like horses (some had a clock), glassware w/pictures of the fair/horse track & date to have when Fair was on for drinks out on our Colonial 6 pillar front porch overlooking the race track & grandstands.
The State Fair Grounds is an amazing canvas that has so much potential. Much has been lost in the flare of "The Great Old Days" when the best horse & buggies were ridden by many stylish families coming down York Rd from farms to the north, even up to the early 50's. However now the admin has done well in offering many events beyond the Fair & Horse Races (google State Fair Events) thru the yr such as 4H, Flower, Car Sales, Amish Wood Furniture, Lacrosse Tornaments, Antiques & Coins, Computer, Celebration of Xmas Trees, Oyster & Pit Beef Roasts, etc. It does offer several very good & worthy events. It can be a very fun day/evening & a new experience for Family or just adults (depending on the event) to experience.
I truly believe that "Our State Fair" needs more creative thinking to attract not only local & State but to expand into attracting limited controlled Natnl Attention as our State is very unique & singular in many ways. I would so much like to help in finding it's way not only into the future but to go back to it's wondrous past, to improve the look elegantly in some areas, it's growth for more flexibility, & an appealing new life in keeping w/consideration of community, traffic, noise, policing, developmental, environmental, etc requirements. If polished & given a natural Historic Look more Art Expos, Horse, 4H, Antique & Sports Car, Small Trains, "Green Environment" Shows, limited outdoor concerts but indoor too (incl orchestras, dancing, different competitions, etc), the State Fair Grounds could be a beautiful appealing viable Family & Clean Adult Entertainment Facility that already offers potential light rail access, immediately off I-83, ample parking, barns, Grandstand, small convention facility & green space to bring back times of old but joined with hopes for its sustainable future. Much better than another shopping center, office complex, or hotel!
It's worth checking out & if around during the Fair & Horse Racing (August) even better for a family day.
Tina Schmidt (Mom's Quiet Time)
Attended the Feb RV show. The bldg and restroom facilities and crowds were reasonable. Well organized parking and attendants, shuttle between building for those who cannot walk that distance. The food court area is always overpriced and of poor quality but there are other vendors that sell good snacks as well (roasted nuts, fudge, etc). A good day overall, but bring your own beverages and snacks if you need a pick-me-up. Better than three overall, but not quite a 4 star

The place is a great venue for a variety of shows. I hit the fair grounds for the annual antique gun show, the RV show, the home and garden show and many more.
Sharon Ganzler
Went for COVID shot. Going north on York Rd was a cluster. Need to be going south to be able to turn in at the main entrance. Parking is interesting. They direct you to turn but there are spaces open closer to the exhibit hall. Once in, the line moved quickly and was pretty organized.

Get a wristband at Walgreen's to save a few dollars and ride all day.

Wine /food tasting was great, atmosphere was awesome, staff on site were polite and professional
Nicole Beus Harris
Always something happening at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Flea markets, flower shows, gun shows - you never know what's next or what you'll find.
Onyinye Anozie
You pay for everything: $10 to park, $10 for admission, min. $10 for rides, etc. It's a state fair, so it's to be expected, but it still comes as a shock. The fried oreos and Rita's were delicious, though.
Diane B Shearon
Excellent set up for delivering the CORVUS19 vaccines. All the policemen and volunteers and health professionals were terrific. Everything was very well organized and everyone couldn't have been more helpful. Thank you all for your service. Stay healthy.
Conner Crosby
Disclaimer: went here for both rounds of my COVID vaccine. So this review reflects more so the process set to get people their shot. I'd say everything was well orchestrated, and you pretty much were hand held through the whole process. Plenty of people around to help guide you where you needed to go, if needed.
Nick Krulock
Amazing fair. Has so many rides as well as fun little games. Even has the horse races right next door, topped with livestock shows!
David Thornton
Park at another lightrail station and take the train to the fair. Take an empty backpack so you can carry some food and souvenirs home. Great place to go with friends and family.
Kimberly
Food was a little expensive but the fair was very nice
Harry Sweeten
I attended a motorcycle show thats held annually there, the event was good and we had a good time, you just can't go wrong with several thousand bikers.
There were a lot of vendors and many motorcycles to see.
The 2019 show there wasn't as good as this year's but the promoters got it right this year and it was well worth the trip from South Jersey.
The facility itself self had seen better days with many holes in the floor and the buildings showing there age, but it's still a good place for an event like I attended there.
Smoke Vision ENT.
Spacious beautiful area. Lots of activities. Perfect paradise
Anabel Santillan Escobar
Great fair and a variety of things to do !

I was here for a crabfeast and auction by Stella Maris and they did a marvelous job. I would definitely recommend their Crabfeast every 2nd Sunday in October. Everything was well put together. The people were friendly and helpful. The crabs and food was delicious. I'm already planning to go next year. If your organization is planning a Crabfeast, talk to Stella Maris and find out how to pull of a great crabfeast because I have been to some doozies.
D Ll
This was our first trip to the grounds when it as not been state fair time. The event organizers were on top of parking with attendants at the ready and actually parking cars in rows! Once inside the Cow Palace things moved quickly, bathrooms were tidy and in general fun for all ages!
Michael Harris
The best motorcycle show in the area!
Michael Peterson
As usual, excellent. Concessions prices are WAY up!
Karina Valdez Briones
I look forward to this every year!! I've been here since I've been a kid and never miss it! Now my children are growing up in tradition and we always have a blast! Especially my husband since we go every year for the live horse racing!!! The food is great, the staff are welcoming and hilarious!! I always invite my family from outside the state to spend a few days and enjoy the fair!!!!

No matter what the Event we are there Love the Maryland State Fairgrounds 🙌 …
Ginger McAndrew
Arrived and joined long line, that moved quickly.
Well staffed, everyone pleasant and efficient.
Shuttles available to drive you to + from your car, if needed. Over all a great experience !

Builders show in town stopped by nice place.
Lynn Maxwell
Great time! Easy access by the light train, so no parking issues, no traffic issues. Love all the exhibits, local business exhibits and a great livestock area. Pretty clean. All areas are handicap accessible. Bathrooms were kept very clean and stocked. Lots of friendly, happy people. Went to the concert Smashmouth while there. Well organized show. Lots of handicapped seating and areas for wheelchairs all with good views of the stage. Will go back next year for sure!
Kristie Snively
Parking was a nightmare but the grounds had plenty of room. The ground was level and easy to walk on for those of us who are not so steady on our feet.
Edward Parks
Many different events are held here throughout the year. We recently attended an art/food fair and had a great time. In the past we've gone for the State Fair and the beer, bourbon, and whiskey fest I believe it was called. The fair leaves alot to be desired, but the whiskey event was really fun and had delicious food. Definitely worth a view at upcoming events.
NANCY H
Got my COVID shot here. Easy to figure out where to go and what to do. Workers are friendly and guide you along. Very efficient, was in and out in half an hour. Maybe 100 - 200 people there at the time
Tracey G
I went for the state fair. The grounds was clean and we'll maintained. The bathrooms were all clean and stocked with toilet paper. All staff were helpful.
Terri Ritterpusch
Got my vaccine part 1! This picture represents what I think of what Covid has done to our world!
Kenneth Benjes
Came here for the covid vaxx round one and two. There are a lot of people walking around and directing traffic, so be aware of your surroundings when parking. Staff was friendly and helpful, honestly too friendly but I guess I can't fault them for that. The selfie station is OKAY, could be a bit cooler, like maybe with some house plants?
Deborah Roberts
I had a great time with my family. Bring the little ones was awesome. I always go to the bulk candy building to get the candy you remember when you were young.
S Gemini
Went here for the Sugarloaf crafts festival. First time at this particular event and enjoyed it. They had many varieties of vendors. Came home with great finds. I have been here before for the annual fair at the end of the summer in the past but not in recent years so I can't say whats that like now but have enjoyed it in the previous years.
Melissa Dicus
A great time for sure I would give 5 stars it wasn't so expensive to eat and ride rides!!! Met lots of great staff and security including some of the best officers!!! Lots of smiles
D Taylor
This was my first time at Festival of Trees at the Timonium Fairgrounds. It was an enjoyable afternoon.

It's was a fantastic experience it made me remember my hometown fair when I was a kid.
I love Maryland ❤ I wasn't born in here but I have spent all my life so I feel like I belong here Arriba Marylanders Ajua..
Kris
I went during the Maryland State Fair and had a blast with all the rides, food vendors, and entertainment!
Maja C
We were here for the Home Show. I'm torn how to review. One aspect the space is great. Its huge, bathrooms are centrally located toward the front but no water fountains. You have to buy water from a vendor. Parking is free, at least whenever I have attended an event here.
If you want to know about the Home Show. I enjoyed it. It wasn't as wowing as it had been in the past. Meaning walking thru beautiful and creative landscapes and structures. Bring those days back. Seems there was an overwhelming number of siding and Windows. Felt like every other one. Although we wanted to meet with those ppl, not 20 of them lol. I felt that maybe some unique businesses I missed out on because half the show was siding and Windows. I do recommend the show for anyone looking for home improvement tho. I was able to schedule estimator for siding, Windows, doors and an awning.
Anne Higginson
Me and my partner loved it here. Lots to do and see!! People were friendly to a couple of Scottish folk! And the blooming onion omg it was so good!! Lots of nice food and drinks. Really had a blast here
Dhruv Mishra
This place is awesome! There is something going on throughout year here. Maryland State Fair is the primary attraction here just before schools open. Tot swap and jewelry show are another events, we generally go but overall there is something for everyone here just need to keep an eye on the events!
Carleigh Hamilton
Not enough good rides, bad prices for tickets. No I'm sorry their called points y'all! 220points for $22 each and the damn rides cost alot of points ... It's just pointless. . sorry not sorry y'all! Don't wast your money on $550 ticket for $50 either!!!!
Tammy Forwood
Always great show and always find amazing items to purchase in home n craft shows. Really liked all the local wine being in both buildings. Bought several bottles. Looking forward to planting seeds, using new decorations n bird feeders, n wearing new necklaces. Great show
Patty Rhee
I was at the Maryland State Fairgrounds for the Home and Garden show. I work with one of the vendors who was showing there. The staff/volunteers were friendly and helpful. If I had any questions, there was someone around to assist. I always enjoy coming here for the Home and Garden show. There are a wide variety of vendors there and even a petting zoo for kids. I will be back.
Dennis Johnson
My girlfriend and I had a good time we don't get on the rides but we eat, drink and watch the shows pick up a few souvenirs and go home
Jo-nathan
I had a lot of fun. Tons of rides for any type of people. The rides are either more intense than other amusement parks or they just straight-up are for kids and you feel like the biggest loser on them with a bunch of kids that you are 3x their size and 4x their age. The rides were up and having no running problems. The food is better than what you think is considered fair food. Bunch of animals. The game selection is like any amusement/fair place. Just buy the dang prize online and stop trying to impress your people with your arrogant skills. There is horse racing, which is a Maryland staple. The halls are always fun to go through and look at how "the judges" determine ribbons for each display. The parking is ok, the people running the fair are fine and there just trying to do their job/keep everyone safe. I do recommend buying the bands to ride all the rides instead of buying individual tickets for each ride.
TA Fooks
Had a great time at the fair ❤️❤️❤️😊😊😊 …
Robin Rasch
It was the first time going to the Irish Festival. I really enjoyed the displays, and I also enjoyed the food, although the prices were a little steep.
Teresa Kullman
We went to the Jurassic Quest and it was amazing! All the dinosaurs were so realistic and scary! The T-Rex and Megalodon were my favorites! The walking dinosaurs and baby dinosaurs shows were very fun and educational. I love that the children could ask questions and "pet" the dinosaurs as they walked around. We didn't pay extra to ride the dinosaurs or go into the bouncy castles, but there was still plenty to do! They always change and add things to the show yearly so we will be going again and again!
Jason M
This place host a wide range of events. It is located in an easy to get to place. Right next to major public transport. Parking is a hit or miss depending on the event going on. Sometimes it is free, other times it cost to park. They often have shuttles running.
The food court is also a hit or miss. There seems to be different management behind a few of them.
Jermaine walker
Great time with plenty to do with the kids
Tyler Walker
The Maryland State Fair is a great experience. It is like heaven on earth :)
PS: To sisters Kayli & Katie: this is Tyler who met u at the swing ride. Just wanted to say I thought you two were nice. I forgot to get your Snapchat. Sorry I'm kinda shy =s If u read this add my SC: tyler11008

My fiance, myself and a friend of ours went to the State Fair. It was amazing as always! We had a great time and for as crowded as it was, they managed everything very well. I love coming here and bringing my family here and will continue to do it!
Ceil Coliton
We enjoyed the Irish Festival, music, Irish goods, foods, Egg Nog with Whiskey, teas, and especially the Stout smoked beef sandwich.
ROLAND TAMAJONG
I was here for the covid-19 Vaccination. 1st time there was a long line, only inside the building. It moved fast and within 15 minutes we were in the next room to be attended to.
The 2nd dose appointment: there was no line. There was a lady in front of me an we just cut across the 1st room to the second. There was no line!
Leroy Stirewalt
Got my 2nd Covid vaccination here. In and out, quick and easy. Very organized and we'll run. Don't be put off by the number of cars in the parking lot.
Wendy Carnes
Enjoyed my time with my boyfriend got on a couple right although we couldn't get on a few because they would not lock down on us when we set on the rides. Loved viewing what animals were there.
Zeyna Harris
It was so crowded. Every line was hour or more wait. All the scan of band and cards was holding up the line. Overall it was nice. Just have to make do with rides and lines for food
M LEE
Went for the vaccine. Everything went well. Their system was very organized and fast. All of the people were friendly. Great job Baltimore County Health Department!!!
Dawn Marie
I've been to the fair before many times but this time I went at night. The night lights are so beautiful and the place was not as crowded. However most of the food does close by 9. Be sure to check out the animals and the birthing center. I watched a baby chick hatch out of it's shell.
Cynthia Bullock
The grandkids had lots of fun...if you have a child 3 - 7 don't get the pass bcuz they can't get on a lot of the rides.....bcuz of there height.
Bruce Robinson
I have made three visits in recent weeks to drop off people for COVID-19 shots. The entire operation exceeded al expectations. Drop offs, waiting spaces and pick ups were all efficient and convenient for the handicapped and octogenarians I was assisting.
Tierra Oskay
I always enjoy the events when I come to the fairgrounds. Whether it's the state fair or random festivals, the events use the space well.
Roy DeWalt
Attended train show, well organized. Food left a lot to be desired that's why the 4 star.
Joseph Balcar
Had a good time at the fair. Only rode two rides, but only because we were going to see the concert that night. Parking is a little crazy, and there weren't enough people around to help guide you to certain places.
Henry Farkas
This is a review of the COVID-19 Testing at the Timonium fairgrounds. They have plenty of capacity so appointments are easy to get. When I arrived, the route to the testing center was well demarcated with traffic cones. Registration was efficient. They just got my demographic information from my driver's license. Then I was told which lane to go to for the drive through testing. There was a slight delay when the tester told me to turn off my engine, and I had to explain to her that my car doesn't have an engine.
Once we got past that little delay, the test was done promptly. Anyone who doesn't have medical insurance and needs a COVID-19 test should get it at the fairgrounds. They didn't even ask for an insurance card.
After they swab the nostrils, they check you out and give you paper work telling you how to get the results from the lab website.
Then there are traffic cones leading you back to York Road.
John Denbow
Chesapeake Boat Show moved here. Nice winter break.
Patricia Redwood
False advertising but the kids had fun.

There is usually plenty of parking ( except during the State Fair ). There are many events during the year.
Billy Fenyes
We only go to the fairgrounds during the actual Maryland State Fair. We love it, we park in the fairgrounds light rail park and ride, which is free, and it's only a short walk to the cow palace from there. The best way to attend the fair is on volunteer day when the tickets are discounted but it's not bad to go on a normal day. Before we had a baby, we loved to catch a few horse races there too. We'll do that again when he's older. The time between actual races makes him restless at the moment.
Cliff Walsh
Empty bowls event is always great and has a wide selection of soups.
Darlene Riley
Visited the fairgrounds for the Timonium fair which runs every year. It's always very busy. They need more parking Areas. It's a nice family place, kids just love it.
Steve Steele
Bike show without bike parking. Seems cars were intentionally parked to stop bikes from parking up front and on the concrete. Eventually a way was found but not without some bad feelings. Not sure who's call but shouldn't have one without the other. Aside from that the show itself was great once you got in.

Took my son to get his 2nd vaccine and I had no wait time I just walked in show our IDs got the shot wait 15 mins and out of there.i took the gate that led to the race track, that was easy no waiting in line very orderly.
Stacy Mccarthy
Loved it , all of it !
Joel Young (Noodels Jefferson)
Great time at the Festival of Trees.
Eric Lam
This is a massive property in which multiple events are held. Not just the state fair. There's also a horse racing track and large event pavilion. Parking fills up super quick here during the state fair though. Some of the local businesses will charge you $25 to park in their lot, which is not bad if you want a close spot. There is parking around back where the race track is so that's also an option.
Antoine Ackwood
It could been more rides but my girlfriend enjoy her time just like I did will be going before it over and next year
Wayne Becker jr
Trifecta food truck festival was awesome
vicki
I took four of my grandchildren to the fair on Saturday, and they had a ball. I was especially grateful that they had an opportunity to witness nature-a sow giving birth to her babies. I think my bank account would have been happier if I hadn't bought that second $45 sheet of tickets. But my grandchildren were happy. Hopefully we made some memories that day that they'll keep.

I love the fair I go every year
Ando.Bean H
Took our daughter to Lego land here. She loved it.. the attraction was awesome. Pricing was expensive though for the smallest things. Some of the Lego sets were double the price they would be at the Lego store but it's worth it to see the smile on your child's face!
J J
Enjoyed rv show...lots of Rvs...5th wheels, travel trailers, motorcoach...everything to include food and vendors...free parking...loved it.
David Brown
Every year me and my soon-to-be wife and daughters go to Maryland State fairgrounds and we have a good old time get the wristband and they get along all the rides they have a great time with the animals in the atmosphere just a wonderful Fair every year can't ask for more thank you Maryland
scott rasely

Tradonna Lang
This particular event wasn't what it used to be, but post Covid initial impact the event was lists of fun and some really good finds!!! Lord willing see you next year!
RIGGO Productions
The best! 2 weekends in a row and unexpected good time. Chesapeake Bay Boat Show and Pet Expo!
Maureen Mambo
Lots of fun stuff to do... evening is the best time to go...make sure to have a lot of small bills ..love the candy store💕💯 …
Breezywebb
This is so fun I've been there 2 times and can't wait to go in a few days. I have never had more fun then here. And thank you to whomever made this fair!
Mark Zeller III
The vendor equipment seems safe, but ride tickets, length of time in line vs. length of ride are very expensive and unbalanced. As fairs go, the peripheral attractions are really great and worth the price of admission. The rides are just really expensive and the treats went up too. Fried dough was over $7! But the information and exhibits were nice (4H, Baseball History, science fair).
John Mattingly
Big buildings, great. But at least the Irish festival would've benefited from better signage and more parking
Eric Emrick
Went for my covid vaccine, it was quick and easy. Very organized, it took a total of 30 minutes from the tim I stepped out of my car until I go back in, and that includes the 15 minutes you have to wait afterwards
Jim Lindsey
We have been going to the State Fair almost every year since since 1985. This year the State Fair was a little disappointing. Some exhibitors were missing probably because of the pandemic. The exhibition hall and the cow palace were not as robust as previous years.
Charlene Faison
Was here for the LAX SPLASH lacrosse tournament. In general the area works. There's multiple games going at once. I only wish they had potties at hotel ends of the field. Vendor selection was good. Could use a few more food vendors but it was a good day overall.
Clint Westwood
Received first round of Moderna vaccine . Very smooth and literally painless operation. 40 minutes from parking to vaccine to exit. Soany people there and it ran like clock work.
Cindy Klemencic
I've been to a few state fairgrounds and the Maryland State Fairgrounds was underwhelming. Buildings were fine for an event show we attended but the directions within the grounds was poor. They have multiple ads from Toyota using actual cars and at least one was in the way within the parking lot. Needs some TLC. If your looking for a place to eat while in that area try the Nautilus Diner it was excellent
James Trautwein
Got a free flu shot, courtesy of the Baltimore County Health Department. Experts recommend October as the best month to get the flu vaccine to cover through the flu season. Please get vaccinated to save our healthcare workers the extra capacity. Stay safe, everyone!
Mary Hecht
Beer, Bourbon and forgot to get my BarBQue. Event was 4 hours in 2 hours I had an incredible time, no fights, no arguments and vendors were plenty. Can't wait to go to another one
Billy C
My parents used to take me to the fair here when I was little and we always had so much fun. I took my son for the first time this past year, and he loved it. Can't wait till next year!
Michele Keve
I went to Timonium Fairgrounds to get my first covid-19 shot. I have to say things were very orderly and organized. The staff were very helpful and cordial. My overall experience was excellent.
Ashton Menefee
Went for my COVID vaccine, fast, friendly, and a great experience.
Stephen Scott
Went there for the train show and sale .one of the best shows I've been to. 4 huge room's of trains at a good price.
Ceaseria Cato-Guy
I attended the home and garden show there, it was good but in years gone by it was way better, there was not as much vendors this time I guess it's because of covid.
Robert “Rob” Commodari
We had a nice time.
Jazmin-Alexis Bullock
Me and my family enjoyed ourselves tremendously! Spent a pretty penny but can't regret the memories! Reminds me of my childhood with my grandparents ❤ 💕 …

It was beautiful atmosphere was nice Community everyone got along great time music food the weather was wonderful I really enjoyed myself

It was Awesome, loved the zoo! All the vendors where great. Food was good too!
Rob Costante
I received the first dose of my COVID vaccine at the Fairgrounds. It was amazingly well run from parking to moving in and out of the Cow Palace building. Well done to all!
Anthony Anderson
Had a great time at Jurrasic Quest! Life size models and fun rides for the little one.
Barbara Williams
Extremely expensive. But the food was horrible. And the rides not that great. My family have decided to go back to Hershey Park next year. Money is well spent there
Iona Plumly
We love the Maryland state fairgrounds.
T.D. L.
Went there to see Antique Toys & Collectible Show. A lot of good vendors selling loads of stuff. Very enjoyable. $5.00 a person to get in.
I just can't understand why there is a admission charge to get into a "selling" show like this when we are the ones PAYING for the stuff on sale there. The vendors pay a space rent already and living in Maryland I already pay taxes for "our" fairgrounds.
John Lutz
We were there for the Aloha Lax. With the extreme heat, they should've allowed at least the team tents. Poor kids were getting overheated. Of course some parents were experiencing heat stroke as well. I seen signs of it all over the place.
Beth Marut
Went to a Beer, Bourbon &BBQ fest at the cow palace. Nice and spacious for the event! No crowding.
Jenn A
My family goes to many attractions here! It's always a great time! Easy location to get to. Well maintained. Large grounds. Places to eat nearby.
James valentine
Wonderful place very busy
Chip Taylor
Although they don't run horses much of it all here any longer still many events including the Maryland State Fair are there every year. It's starting to get somewhat old and run-down looking and a general sprucing up would be a great idea. Parking is usually a nightmare Freddy big advance and it ties up traffic on York Road in both directions an unbelievable weights although they don't run horses much of it all here any all longer still many events including the Maryland State Fair are there every year. This review is for the state fair. awesome.
Zairah Shahid
Good place but needs lots of construction remodeling and updates. Very spacious to handle large gathering of people getting vaccines but parking and building itself needs some serious upgrades.
Anita Tela

Nice serene place for family hangout
jeff a
Nice set up and easy to get around. Nice selection of food and entertainment at booths. Nice area to walk around and explore for the state fair
Kee “Kee” DaQueen
Went here for a Paint Nite, great time. I just feel if u sign up for a 21 and over event at this location but leave ur wallet at home, the waitresses should still serve u. We're clearly over 21...smh.
Patricia Ann Walker
The cost of the food, drinks and games were ridiculous!!!!!
Nathaniel J. Boston
I hadn't been to the State Fair in years. It is much smaller than I remember. Lines were excessively long but the price of admission was reasonable.
Henry Kramer
On July 9, 2016 I attended the Great Scale Model Train Show at the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Of the four shows, this is the smallest and is held in Exhibition Hall. This is an air conditioned building and the interior of the hall was comfortable despite the July heat. Due to the size of the show many of the larger exhibitors were not there. This allowed me to concentrate on some of the smaller vendors that normally get overlooked at the larger shows. Overall I had a great time and am looking forward to their next show in October.
BIll Craig
Had a great time at the Maryland State Fair. Food was awesome and the rides were pretty cool looking. I didn't get on any rides but enjoyed watching others scream and yell while riding. Really enjoyed the indoor livestock shows. I always look forward to going every year. I just wish the school system would work something out where kids don't go back to school the next day after the fair. That's kind of silly.
Deirdre Gizinski
Every event I have been to has had a great turn out. I believe the staff did a good job as well. The only thing keeping me from giving it a 5 star is with the amount of traffic going in and out it causes a ton a back ups.
Matthew Mariani
Here for a gymnastics meet in the Exhibition Hall - Black Eyed Susan Invitational 2016
PauL Creer
It was cool. Attended the fairgrounds for an RV Convention. The facility is a lil older but it performed as needed. Housed a pleather of RV's for me and girls to go up and down in. It was a big help with us getting closer to the decision if which RV will be our dream motor home.
Linda Burnette
Pet Expo...so much fun watching dog jump in water to fetch. Dogs were everywhere!! The vendors had great items. I'll go next year. One problem...they only accept CASH to enter. I only use credit cards. If my sister didn't have cash, we would have had to leave out precious parking spot (bcuz it was crowded) to find an ATM. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT????
Carlos Margarida
Fun and good times every year....
Ronald Hendricks
It was excellent !!!!! It was put together like I never seen before. For covid #19 shots . I love the way there sat up inside & outside. The people's so organize & helping people 💯 !!! …
Bill Vogelsong
Another excellent antique gun ahow at the fairgrounds. Parking is excellent, not too far a walk.
Chinaka Adams
Had a ball at the state fair.
James Trott
Was very clean but outdated facilities. I felt like i stepped back in time to the 70's. You would think this business would invest in not only more modern facilities but also do away with the outhouses it refers as family friendly restrooms. The entertainment line up is one of a local craft show at the Kiwanis club.
robert strucko
Just a big stinky carnival, that gets smaller and smaller each year. The crowd is obnoxious and rude and are just not fun to be near. Sad to see the livestock being kicked and abused by the little 4Hers with no respect or compassion for their animals. NOT ALL, but there were quite a few. I was ready to go vegan.
Took my family to the Maryland Statr Fair years ago, but would not be inclined to take grandchildren there now. Went there with wife this year, to reminisce a little, but left within an hour. York Fair, if it is the same as it was is a better choice for true fair flavor.
The so called Maryland State Fairgrounds is not owned by the State of Maryland, but is a private corporation that is focused on hosting special events, and is VERY profit conscious. Therefore the Md State Carnival is a hosted event by the Fairgrounds. Sad.
Anthony Leone (Soulife)
There's really not much to say from my perspective.. This place does different conventions. So it's usually a big empty building until someone rents it out to have whatever show it is that they do (gun show, train show, maybe a tattoo show, etc). Multiple vendors rent table space, and customers come in and buy whatever they're there for..
There's 2 not completely disgusting bathrooms, they have a kitchen with overpriced food. And air conditioning..
joe hurwitz
We went there to getcovid shot was extremely professional run. Was in and out in 25 minutes. We regularly got here for the state fair . Truly great memories
Mike Allabaugh
Came down for the toy show and got some good deals. Make sure you keep an eye out for the next one
Dan G
RV SHOW/ vehicles very close together at times. Very Hot in bathrooms day we went. Should have hand sanitizer available in the rows by RV's
Nice vendors nice staff. Had a fun time spent maybe 3.5hours there😎 …
April Aragon
Great place to get your vaccinations. You are out in no time, less than 20 minute's total. You have to wait 15 minute's after the shot.
BmoresBest
The best times to go it during the horse racing, the flower festival, and the Maryland State Fair. As a Baltimore native i have seen every type of event hosted here. During the State Fair it is the best time to bring your kids or family. It include 3 Large buildings and a horse track with stands. Most events take up all 3 buildings.
Steve Shortall
Difficult to get into if coming from the south entrance because there is no Green arrow. Parking is good, and the cow palace is perfect for large shows like we were there for, which was the dinosaur exhibit.
Sarah P
Parking can get tricky here, but they do provide a shuttle service when it becomes a real issue. There are plenty of festivals and expos held here throughout the year. My favorite is the Maryland Home & Garden Expo, held in mid-March each year. There are TONS of vendors there and plenty of fun things to look at. It's usually held at the same time as the crafts expo too.
Hyunjung S
It's not what it's used to be. Life has changed has a lot. But it's a huge place. It was a great place to get my vaccine shots, quick, easy and fast.
Jason Goodling
Tickets to expensive for the old rides and the food. And you have to pay to get in to the fairgrounds. Affordable Family events are disappearing.
Avis Jackson
Attended the MD Home and Garden show. Not pleased with getting in to park. Way too long. They should and could manage that better. Once in, easy to park, facility was easy, clean, and flat for those using any mobility tools.
Lori Arnold
had gr8 time at Sugarloaf Craft Show > only down fall >> PRICES AT EVERY SINGLE VENDOR (NO EXCEPTIONS) WE'RE ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS! but to just go for looking great if u don't wanna buy >> food bar was reasonable & good!
K. Steph
Attended this venue for the Annual Pet Expo.
This venue hosts MANY events: Kennedy Krieger Festival of Trees, Irish Festival, Home & Garden Shows, RV Show, Train Show, MD State Fair, etc.
Lots of room for many events encompassing several bldgs.
Parking lot NEEDS newly painted lines to ensure proper parking. Perhaps put these parking spaces on an angle/slanted & don't make them too small/tight.
Brion Weintzweig
Fun for the whole Family. Arcades, 4H livestock pavilion, food & stands selling the coldest beer. They fill your cup! And tips help the local Shriners with their building fund.
TerryandKelley Bates
FAIRGROUNDS ARE EXTREMELY DIRTY AND UNAPPEALING. MY PERSONAL OPINION. PRESSURE WASH AND CLEAN IT UP GOES A HUGE LONG WAY DRAWING IN THE CROWDS!!! ☺️
Joseph Powell
Plenty of parking, staff courteous, spacious, at this particular event, car show, social distancing was available!
Reginald Jones
My wife and I took our grandkids to Maryland State Fair. Had good food, rides, great atmosphere. Loved it!
Babar Aleem
Was there for covid 19 vaccination, everything was very well organized. Team was polite, doing their job in real quick and professional manner.
Adrienne Rigby
Multi purpose venue with a few buildings used to host events and trade shows. One location is the Cow Palace where livestock is housed for shows.
That same building is used for trade shows. During the summer there are large flies, hay and traces of cow droppings, and strong smells everywhere. Large fans are used for ventilation.
Once transformed it serves it's purpose as a show site. Bathrooms are basic, loading docks are attached, free parking areas nearby. Local eateries are within a 5 to 10 minute ride.
Christopher Leonard
It's a nice ground, was here for the camping show. I did find the food vendor appeared unorganized though.
Taneka Singleton
Go early...lines are long.$34 armbands $15 turkey leg $10 funnel cake$3 water bottle $4 refills $7 travel drinks...nice sales, aniamals for sale... Almost brought a 🐷 smh.. …
