Reviews of Atlanta Botanical Garden
Prudence Starling
The husband and I went tonight and it was absolutely amazing, we loved everything about it! Even tho the temperature was low and they didn't allow my outside coffee into the garden, we still had a fabulous time! There are clean bathrooms throughout the entire garden, plenty of place to sit and simply enjoy the scenery, tonight there was a strings band playing live beautiful music, there were lights everywhere once it got dark enough, even the other guess were so very sweet to us!! We will definitely be back whenever we come back to the area for work! The water at the goddess wasn't on which was unfortunate but it was still extremely beautiful! We recommend this beautiful garden for anyone wanting a stroll through nature, date night for any couple, an outing for the kids! There was a bride and groom there tonight taking pictures because it is that beautiful!! Enjoy!

Actually a pleasantly nice botanical garden. The sculptures of origami were starting to go up for the official display in summer 2022 and they looked fun. During the week when I went, the grounds were well kept and taken care of. It wasn't too crowded. There was lots of construction going on, but it was hidden pretty well and the parts that were open were maintained nicely. The flowering plants were on full display while the bushes were neatly trimmed.
The Cafe had standard sandwiches and burgers which were tasty. Good cheese board and appetizers.

We went to the garden to see a new art installation by artists we met at our B&B. We were so impressed with this garden. Tickets for two adults run $50, but you can get a membership for $105. The membership gets you access to 345 other gardens across the country in addition to discounts in the gift shop, restaurant, and a few other perks. Definitely worth it!
We walked through for 90 minutes and didn't see everything thoroughly. We could definitely stay much longer if we sit, relax, meditate, etc.
I appreciate their investment in art. This display, Origami in the Garden, will be there for 6 months (starting May 2022). The artists are from Santa Fe and are a fabulous couple.
I will always stop by the garden now when traveling to Atlanta. It is inside of Piedmont Park in midtown and the surrounding area is great and very walkable.

This was an amazing lights display. There were lots of people, but it was great being able to just walk through at your leisure and enjoy the displays without having to worry about cars or holding people back.
The best area, in our opinion, was the music and light sync up were the strands of lights were individual synced to the music. Each light was individually synced up. It was amazing.
For those that missed it this year or if you made it and decide to go back next year something I would recommend, if you’re able, is avoid the on site parking. Look for a parking deck nearby and park there then walk to the gardens. We walked past the line of cars waiting to get in. So much easier.

The gardens here are beautiful with lots of areas to explore. There are gorgeous art pieces throughout the garden and there's a nice restaurant that serves great refreshments, including adult beverages. There is even a children's garden with a splash pad and a water painting area. They do offer manual and electric wheelchairs, but do not offer strollers.
Overall, it was very fun experience and would definitely return to experience it again.

This was a breathtaking experience!!!
Their Christmas display was fantastic!!! I especially loved the tropical greenhouse experience and the dangling music coordinated light show! These absolutely took my breath away.
I also really loved how they utilized reflections with their design of the Christmas lights. It created so many beautiful surprises.
Though I didn’t choose to partake, there was lots of well placed beverage options. I appreciated how available it was throughout the experience.
I didn’t really like how you had to pay for parking. We already had to pay per person tickets to get in so I didn’t understand the need for an extra fee. But I suppose if it were free they might have issues with people exploiting it.

I loved my time at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. It is a huge garden and they give you a nice nap to help navigate through but we didn't use it and still got around to see it all. Well maintained and over the top lighting setup.
Restrooms and benches were all over the garden, they had a snack bar and restaurant on the premise. Didn't utilize them but it was nice to know they were there. We got to see a bunch of children's scarecrows all around the park. I would love to see what they do with the place during a special event. Very well organized and maintained.
Parking ran $5, $25 (24.95) each so a $55 dollar experience for my wife and I. CREDIT CARD only for admission. That's one thing I didn't care for as I mainly use cash so that's that.

This is one of the best botanical gardens I have ever been to! Beautifully curated and well maintained gardens that were a joy to behold! We ended up getting the annual pass so we can revisit whenever we go to Atlanta. We had to pay for parking but fortunately we got the covered parking on a hot day. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around this beautiful park but we were worn out after a few hours. They have amazing origami sculptures throughout the park that the kids enjoyed searching for. The dining options were limited but we had some snacks to keep us going. Lots of photo opportunities here for social media.

This is an epic afternoon/evening in the prettiest part of Atlanta. So many flowers and plants! I loved walking around and enjoying the sights and smells. Someone had scheduled a party for the evening I was there and they were having a great time but it didn't interfere with other visitors in the least. Such a good experience. Pet friendly! There was also live music at one of the areas and it was a fun intimate place for a picnic.
Joshua Masiko
The botanical gardens is a phenomenal place to visit, especially with kids. We went for the fall season and they had scarecrows and dressed up jack-o'-lanterns. Properties also quite large which makes for beautiful walks without feeling crowded. There's also a lot of focus on elements for kids as well as adults. Beautiful architecture and there's always a special exhibition going on. I would recommend buying the yearly pass. It's definitely worth it for a quick visit in downtown. Parking is also relatively affordable and you can also go to Piedmont Park
Seth Sorano
The holiday lights display is quite an impressive setup! Classical music plays as you enter the gardens. Took me around two hours to see everything and of course take advantage of a cup of hot coco at the snack bar. The gift shop didn't disappoint either! The entire staff is friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. There is a $10 parking fee in addition to an entry ticket. I highly recommend pre-ordering tickets online as I have spotted "Sold Out" signs upon arriving. Something fun for a date night or family outing that is guaranteed to brighten your winter holiday season.

This was a beautiful botanical garden. It has lots of variety and have lots of cool exhibits in each area of the garden. You could spend hours here and still not explore everything. I liked the greenhouses where they housed various tropical and desert plants. The only drawback is that it does get busy and you will be fighting through the crowds to enjoy the scenery.
taylor radaker
I went to the botanical garden back in October when they had their scarecrow exhibits throughout the garden. It was so much fun! I rented a wheelchair for free during my visit and it was quite easy to get around for the most part. I'd say the garden is very accessible with only a few exceptions. In their orchid garden they do have handicap doors, which was so helpful. The sculptures, plants, flowers, everything was gorgeous. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
Joe S
The gardens were vast and had something for everyone to enjoy with indoor portions, child play areas (including an interactive water area), everywhere was wheelchair accessible, and seasonal exhibits. It was a reasonable price point for tickets but I would've liked more indoor greenhouse areas and some off the beaten path trails. This is a personal gripe as I know the gardens tailor to everyone and not one group specifically. I'd recommend it to everyone who wants to enjoy a solid 3 hours of outdoor excursions
Alexis B
Beautiful and peaceful gardens. The flowers are so beautiful and the whole grounds are amazing. There is a lot to see there such as a forest you can walk through, tree top canopy walk, indoor greenhouses, and a restaurant. You need to go on the canopy walk because it’s very fun and has great views of the forest around there. It also leads to some more gardens. There is super cool artwork too which is metal that looks like paper origami. The greenhouses are unique too and there are so many different plants in there. They also had a snack bar so when it’s hot out you can buy water and popsicles too. This place is a must if you’re going to Atlanta and you like gardens.
Miguel Flores
I love the scenery and all the different biomes they showcased. Many vibrant colors and beautiful landscapes. I recommend coming on a weekday if possible.
It's a great place to bring kids to on a hot day as there are water fountains/playgrounds where kids are encouraged to bring swim suits.
Public restrooms are no more than a 5 min walk in any direction.
Herb Busler
We love this place. Have been away for a while so we decided to go and check it out. There is so much to see here. My teen boys didn't hate it. Actually, my 16 year old said he wants to bring his lady friend here. So I guess it can't be that bad. Snacks aren't cheap but at least they have Coke products. Gift shop was cool. We didn't eat at the restaurant. But if you have 3 hours you want to kill this is a great place for a stroll. We went ahead and got the season passes due to the fact that we are going to be visiting again.
Dulby Escalona
I bought a family membership for one year, as the one time entrance for my husband and me seemed very high. The membership is good value if you plan to visit more than once.
The orchid house and tropical plant displays were spectacular. The rest of the gardens have wonderful city views, but the flowers were not the best, as not quite the season. We will be back.

This was a great experience. We stopped by to see the lights for Christmas. Parking was readily available and the bathroom was clean. The light show was also great. We had the 3D glasses which turned all the lights into snowflakes. This was our first time here. Great for date night or a family outing.
Leigha
This is such a beautiful location and a must see in Atlanta! The walk through is extremely easy and accessible to most! All the flowers and art blend together to create such beautiful setting! Tickets are rightfully pricey, but well worth it. 10/10 would recommend!
Ruby Guerra
Such beautiful grounds! I’m an orchid lover, so the Fuqua Center was perfect. I needed inspiration for upcoming projects and this got the creativity flowing. I also enjoyed the Edible Garden, which gave me ideas for my garden at home.
It was a very pleasant day to stroll through the Botanical Gardens. So family friendly and relaxing. Next time I’ll take advantage of one of the great classes offered!!
Plan your trip in advance so you don’t miss out like I did.
Andrew Jaru
Lovely garden with tons of beautiful flora. The tropical garden was gorgeous and we were fortunate enough to see the bonsai society in one of the halls. It was super crowded when we went though. Definitely recommend visiting outside of peak hours since it's hard to appreciate something when people are weaving in and out. It's also easier to find parking when it's not busy too. Otherwise, you have to park at least a half mile away.
Bianca L. lovi
How beautiful is this garden in the December season, it is full of lights and colors everywhere, it is impressive 😲 how the statue of the woman with plant hair is decorated. You can sit near the fountain. You can eat marshmallows at a small campfire by the lake. I loved the bridge with colors that turn on and off to the sound of classical music in the background. Excellent I recommend it.
William DeArmon (Bill)
This is one of the best places to visit in Atlanta. There are many walking trails, most paved. The scenery is beautiful. During some holidays such as Christmas they have spectacular displays of light, it's a veritable winter holiday wonderland. During the spring, summer and fall it's an awesome display of the various flora that can be found in the area. I highly suggest the annual membership, it's well worth the money. If you live locally I suggest riding your bike or walking here so you don't have to concern yourself with the parking.
SANJEEV JAIN
I was here with my family to see botanical garden with lights.
Admission fee during the weekdays is cheaper and costs about usd 38 ( no rain checks), 5 booking charge and 10 for parking. Do check upon the weather forecast.
One has to fix a date and time for admission. We picked the last slot 9:30 pm. It closes around 11 pm.
Beautiful sound and lighting, it takes about an hour to explore and enjoy the beautiful trail.
They have bars which offer few select alcoholic drinks and hot chocolate as well.
Enjoyed the beauty and whether was just perfect.

We enjoyed these pretty gardens. The tulips were especially pretty when we visited in March, and we liked the garden with a view of the skyline in the background.
We went in the conservatory, but missed the orchid room because we didn't pay enough attention to the map. I wish there were signs at the door that lead to other parts of the building so people wouldn't miss things.
Victoria O'Tool
Great place to visit in Atlanta, and it makes it seem like you’re not even in the city! There is a lot to see, and you’ll definitely spend 2 1/2-4 1/2 hours here.
The only thing I was disappointed about was the massive plant sculptures I saw in some of the Google reviews. They are no longer there. :(
I have attached a LOT of current photos, so check them out!
They do charge for parking (no military discount) and admission is a bit pricy-especially if you are going with a family. They do offer a small military discount though, which is nice.
The staff were all incredible. The restrooms were clean.
I also want to note that it says you’re not able to bring in food or water, but no one stopped or searched us for them, so I would definitely suggest bringing a water bottle!
Monica Vega
Atlanta Botanical Garden is such a wonderful maintained garden 🌿🌻. If you are in the area visiting do not think twice as you will not regret visiting the garden. Any stress will just melt way as you walk along the beautifully designed pathways surrounded in nature. If you are an art lover there are art installations dotted throughout the park. I recommend bringing your kids as they will enjoy being immersed in nature. The annual membership has incredible value since there are multiple events held in the garden throughout the year!

We came here for the garden lights on a peak night. There was a bit of a wait (maybe 5 minutes) to enter the parking lot due to the amount of people there so it helps to arrive a little early based on your ticket entry time. The light displays were incredible, and the miniature Christmas village was adorable! They serve beverages - nonalcoholic & alcoholic in different areas around the gardens and a DJ. If you want good videos & photos of your group, it will be easier to go on a non-peak night since everyone will be trying to get pics. I haven’t been to the lights display since the inaugural event several years ago so this was such a pleasant revisit.
Cassidy Sween
Absolutely beautiful place - much better than the holiday lights that Wisconsin has (where we live). They put so much effort into this event - it is breathtaking, amazing, outstanding... literally you have to see it in person to understand why it is so hard to explain our experience. It truly is hard to put into words.
Our favorite part was the synchronized light show with all the hanging lights in this forest area... it was mesmerizing. They had so many songs that they synchronized, it is incredible - that takes A LOT of time and a lot of skill. So props to them for that because it made that place.
Please go support this event! It is worth every penny! We will definitely be back again whenever we are in town during the holidays again.
*Note, we were there for about 2 hours, so set aside some time! 😊
Dominique Thomas
The restaurant that they have is amazing. The service was quick, I got a seat with a view, a delicious cocktail, and even though they were out of the item I requested they were happy to substitute items on the menu. The gardens were pretty amazing as well, though mid February is really not the best time of year to look at plants. Their greenhouse was chock full of plants and the displays they had were fabulous and I learned quite a lot. I will absolutely go back
Kelly Pearse
Beautiful. The ground were so well maintained and just beautiful. We went right after a major rain storm so a lot of blooms were lost. But no matter what is was so worth the visit. There Is a good amount of shade but go early before the sun and heat come
Mike R
This place is amazing! I stopped by for a quick visit this afternoon and a walk among the trees and flowers. I couldn’t stop grinning the whole time and plan to return tomorrow! It is clean, beautiful and serene in the middle of the Atlanta traffic and madness. I got some good shots of flowers and butterflies, including one on a garbage can lip. Even the garbage cans here are beautiful!
Rebecca Barrett
I really gorgeous gardens. One of my favorite botanical gardens in the country. Every foot is just overflowing with plants and flowers and you feel transported when your there. I have mobility issues and used their complimentary wheel chair service, which was very convenient. Most of the gardens were wheelchair accessible, though some hills were very steep. The only exception was the children's garden was not ver accessible.
Beatrice Jara
Nice place to go visit everything is beautiful, with plenty of photo opportunities. Clean restrooms and family rooms. Don’t forget to check out the children’s area and the splash area for the kids. Be careful with the bees flying around. Wear comfortable shoes because there is plenty of walking to do.
Jennifer Helms
Sooo beautiful! We went for the last night of the lights and it was breath taking. I loved that they had restrooms throughout the walk and plenty of benches and seating for you to stop and rest. We definitely plan to go back again soon in the daytime to explore and see what else they have to offer. Even had a really nice looking restaurant in the garden called Longleaf that we may try out next time. Great experience overall and look forward to going back with my kids soon.
May Luong
What a beautiful place to come and visit in Atlanta! I absolutely adored this botanical garden. They had hanging lights everywhere, so I’m sure winter time is a spectacular show at night. The displays were gorgeous and the garden was immaculate. Highly recommend!
The parking situation was a bit atrocious as they ran out of parking, so we had to get street parking and hope for the best.
Leonté “Tay Tay” Paul
Simply beautiful! Approx $30/adult. I want to go again at night to see how much more pretty it is! Not enough words to explain. Origami exhibit was here on my visit. Nice for a date idea! 😉 …
D C (Fluffs Adventures)
Amazing experience and service! Definitely worth what you pay. Evening tickets recommended if you want something more Christmas oriented. They do have alcoholic beverages available in addition to snacks. Suggest planing a couple hours to enjoy all the gardens.
Christy Cooper
Such a fun filled girls day. The orchid house was beautiful! Perfect weather. I recently broke my ankle and the gardens have free wheel chairs to borrow so I was able to enjoy everything with the help of my cousin pushing me all day.
Chris Walker
Amazing! Get ready to spend the day here. Massive garden with something for everyone. We went on a Saturday afternoon and stayed through the cocktails and live music. There’s a playground, open grassy areas, amazing greenhouse. If you’re looking for something to do, just go!
Christie Fuller
Yea had always heard about how beautiful this place was, and it did not disappoint. It was a great way to spend an afternoon and we enjoyed learning about different species of plants and animals as well. I want to return at night to see everything lit- especially for Halloween and Christmas.
Cheyanne Farr
I really enjoyed visiting this botanical garden. Even in the winter there was plenty to see, especially in the orchid center. Bathrooms were regularly laid out and always convenient, and I loved the frog focus. Parking was very easy. We got coffee and walked around, total time was about 3.5 hours including sitting in the garden and browsing the gift shop. Gift shop was a little overpriced, but entrance and parking were on point.
Stephanie Girard
We had such a great time. We visited for both Origami in the Garden, and Scarecrows in the Garden. The garden itself is enough of a draw, though. Peaceful, beautiful, and plenty of ramps for accessibility to lower areas of the gardens. We plan to come back for other events.
Khaled Robaidi
I was a little bit disappointed with ATL botanical garden mainly due to very high expectations. It’s a very beautiful and well maintained garden, however it was missing on the WOW factor that you see in worldwide famous botanical gardens. There was only very few huge orchids or sculptures made from tress/flowers. I also felt it was on the smaller side yet harder to navigate. Nevertheless I think it is totally worth visiting and I enjoyed my time there.
Adam Chapman
If you go in the summer, take a refillable water bottle! There are plenty of refill stations. There is tons to see and do including a dedicated kids area that my wife and I played in shamelessly. Scenic trails, incredible designs, and even some wildlife make this a great place to visit!
Samuel Ha
A little expensive at $28 per ticket, but worth every cent! The botanical garden is beautiful and well-cared for. It is a great way to spend 1.5 to 3 hours in the afternoon. The orchid house is especially highly recommended!
Mary Greenwell
It was absolutely stunning! I would highly recommend going. It's a great place to take pictures, see some plant-based art, and enjoy the best of nature. I walked around for 3 hours and still felt like I could have stayed longer.
Anna DiReda
The botanical gardens is massive and well worth the trip.
You can tell that the grounds are very well cared for. Everything was bright and beautiful.
We didn’t get to see the whole thing in the time we were there and will be returning
Larry Landrie
What a wonderful place. I was in a wheelchair and we had a three year old in a stroller, and a seven year old and we still want to come back. The children's programs are throughout the children's garden and they were a hit with our seven year old. The splash pad at the end of the children's garden was fun and refreshing.
Wendy Gordon
Heaven! What an amazing botanic garden. Walking around the paths and gardens was a delight. Makes you forget you're in a city. The orchid collection is amazing. The special exhibit with metal "origami" sculptures added a bit of whimsy. We spent 2-3 hours and you could easily make a day of it with a good book, laptop or art supplies.
Savannah L
My husband and I decided last minute to go see the lights at night and I am so glad we did. We visited early January. The lights were absolutely beautiful! And there wad a cute area with little trains so definitely family friendly. Also loved the inside greenhouse thing we could walk through. Seems like a nice garden for the daytime too! If we lived in Georgia we would definitely go back.
Kimberly Jefferson
Perfect place for a dreamy getaway, date day or meet up with colleagues. I highly recommend it. Take comfortable walking shoes. Lots of great space for photos and content. Pre plan your visit with the website. It will take a while if you want to view the entire site :-)
Jenni Smith-Mann
We went to the Holiday light festival and it was beautiful! We had a great time walking through seeing all the different exhibits! The orchid garden was so nice! We are not from Atlanta and were just passing through, but we will definitely come back to see the gardens during the day!
Emilio Pagan-Yourno
We had a fantastic time. The Garden is vast and has many different sections highlighting plant species. There are some cool glass, metal and cement statues throughout. The atmosphere is peaceful and hours surprisingly long for a Sunday. Highly recommend visiting 👌🏽 …
Nestor Estrada
It's a beautiful place. The scenery is incredible. I liked the origami theme thru out the park. If you have kids it's a great place to expose them to nature. If you want to see everything you should plan to be there at least 3 hours abd enjoy it to the fullest
Katharine Hernandez
Magical place! The Orchid room is incredible. Easy for kiddos and differently abled individuals to navigate. I do wish you could bring your own food in. It makes it hard if you have dietary restrictions or are a diabetic, etc.
Don't forget the gift shop! You could easily do all of your holiday shopping there.
Danielle Fryar
This place is a great place to visit when the weather is nice and flowers are in bloom. There is space for the kids to play and explore. I would say get a membership to cover the cost of tickets. There is also a great restaurant on the property, so equally good as a girls day out as well or day date.
curly ceibeña
I'm not a huge fan of flowers but it was something to do with the weather being nice and all. The garden is huge and pretty (take lots of pictures) so I feel like I got my $25 worth. I highly recommend ordering the Salmon sandwich with fries at the restaurant inside. Sooo good! 😋 …
Jessica Moon
We can to visit on the coldest day of the week in March. So the spring flowers haven't really hit yet. And they had to cover a lot of the tulips to keep them from freezing. But it was still a nice beautiful way to kill a few hours.
Orchids were beautiful. The grounds are very nice. Would love to come back in the spring/summer when the Earth goddess is covered in all her glory.
It's a wonderful way to spend a few hours and enjoy natures beauty
Joseph Butler
I have had a chance to visit several gardens, and the Atlanta Botanical Garden has to be in the top three. From the beautiful Fuqua Orchid Center to the flavor-filled edible garden. While these exhibits were fantastic, it was the lady of the lake who stole the center stage.
Ruth Newell
Right off the highway, Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a wonderful place to stretch your legs. I'm drawn to outdoor art installations and these gardens do not disappoint. Offering a diversity of landscapes, the three dimensional gardens take you through sunny meadows and manicured Rose beds with views of the city skyscape to shaded forests under bridges and past waterfalls where you'd never know you were in a major metropolis. The bar in the garden and live music were and added bonus.
Derek Curtis
Had a lovely time at the botanical garden. Such a beautiful place in the heart of Atlanta. Best botanical garden I have ever been to. The canopy trail was my favorite part. The kids really liked the children's area. We will definitely be back.
Craig Rose
A beautiful place for a stroll through the woods while feeling amazing plants and flowers. I highly suggest a visit to the Conservatory. It is absolutely beautiful in there! What a great way to spend the day at the Botanical Gardens!
Heidi Parent
The gardens are beautiful and very well taken care of. The origami sculpture exhibit is really cool. Lots to see.
The even have a garden area just for kids with a splash pad and playground.
Angie Greene
The absolute best place I've spent 8 hours exploring. ABG totally gained a new member. I can't wait to come every week and see all the blooms. The restaurant was a pleasant, tasty experience. Plan to spend the entire day.
Li Fan
A fun place to visit for the whole family! Not too big and perfect for a half day outing. Fall foliage was at peak bloom when we visited and the Halloween decorations are nice and fun. Great place to visit in Atlanta, out of all the ordinary attractions in downtown.
Alexandria Daniel
I was really excited to go here on a weekend excursion. I loved it, but the only downside was that without a map, I felt the picture-winning sites were difficult to find. I'd like to go back and spend an entire day, which would be easy to do, and try to see everything.
Jordan Meyer
Quite a big compound in the middle of Atlanta. Great environment, plants were well taken care of, and a huge variety of sections and sculptures within the park. Definitely check out the edible garden, which is seasonally good depending on the time of year, but even in the off season it smells delightful. Also, if you catch it after dusk, all the lights come on and make it a beautifully charming space for dates and venting sessions.
Ni Zi
Amazing. Way exceeded expectations! So much to see. We stayed for 4 hours, could have stayed longer. Frogs in the greenhouse. Tortoise in the desert habitat. So well put together and cared for. Highly recommend! Glad we had bug spray on hand. Tickets entrance times are specific, but you can stay as long as you want (until closing). If you enjoy plants give yourself extra time.
Lifetraveler718
We had a great time, I just wish it had more sculptures, but this is one Opinion. The walk to each site is perfect. This is a nice date site ti get some good pictures and see new things.
Alice
The crew that transformed the Botanical Garden into this wonderland deserve the 5 stars. We had an amazing time walking the trails, watching the lights, and enjoying the music. All the buildings are open, there are plenty of rest points, and it is kid friendly. One thing, traffic. Literally getting into the park was an issue as there was no police directing traffic. There was plenty of space in the parking garage though. Reserve your spot online and come early.
Leslie W
This is a wonderful place to visit if you enjoy plants, art and music. We were there on a very hot day during the summer and there was an art installment throughout the grounds which was beautiful. There was also a glass display. There was live music by the fountain and recorded music as you walk through the wooded path. Lovely. There are two restaurants and a snack shack on the premises. Overpriced but decent food. I look forward to returning.
Trinity Patterson
Absolutely Gorgeous! I will be back to explore more because there was so much to see. Cute date night idea! There were areas to grab snacks, drinks or sit and listen to live music. Have to pay for parking and tickets can be bought online or in person.
AMY MUNNS
Such a fun garden! I've been to several Botanic(al) Gardens and this one gave me so much joy. There is 'Origami in the garden' until by October 16, 2022. If you are going to Atlanta before it ends, you must check it out. I wasn't too excited about this origami thing but it really gave me nice photos. There was 'Cocktails in the garden' so I had a can of beer and enjoyed the music that was playing in live. This place has such a HUGE ORCHID GARDEN so if you love orchids you much come here. There was Origami exhibition inside of conservatory as well.
I highly recommend this place before the origami exhibition ends but this will be still a nice garden to visit because there is a big statue that I totally fell in love with!
Ismael
First of all. Some of the things seen on he pictures where not there. They seem to add/remove things over every now and then. But overall, great place to go! Beautiful art, great walk and nice staff. Be ready to walk/stand for about 2-3 hours.
Maggie Fike
Slice of paradise right in Midtown!
I love coming here for a mid-day walk. Peking is accessible and cheap. On the way to the orchard gardens you can see kiwis on their vine! The edible garden is Impressive, with basil and purple peppers galore!
My favorite pet are the frogs, orchard garden, dessert room and the fact that the lotuses were in bloomed!
The BG would be a great date or way to spend an afternoon when it isn’t too hot. You can purchase annual passes or a day pass. Very worth experiencing once a season.
Brandon Lord
Maybe a little early in the season, but still a beautiful place to walk around for an afternoon.
First day of Origami, very cool.
As a side note, the Edible Garden has no edibles 😄

Atlanta Botanical Garden is beautiful. I had a really good time. It's a lot of walking so make sure you have on comfortable shoes. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I think everyone should go here at least once

Visiting for the holiday lights is a must! It was our first time going and will not be our last! We plan to come back in the Spring to see it in the daylight.
Our experience was with the Holiday Lights and it was fantastic! I am not a big Christmas light fan, but this BLEW me away! They had multiples of displays and designs throughout the Garden. Not a moment wasn't colorful and memorable, as we wandered for an hour we finally took advantage of their drink and food offers and was very satisfied.
Hopefully my photos can pass along some of our experience, but you have to be in person to really understand the beauty here.
Parking and Ride share is a breeze. Very accessible.

Beautiful botanical garden in the heart of Midtown Atlanta. Easy to get to, secure parking, well organized, helpful staff, regularly changing exhibits featured. the perfect blend of public art exhibit and botanical garden, with clearly designated walking paths through the various areas. Japanese garden is small and could be improved, but all other aspects of the ABG are really well done and quite impressive. I've been to ABG a few times, including a family wedding (Great place for a spring/summer/autumn wedding). Definitely worth going to...whether you're visiting or a local.

Absolutely gorgeous place, my wife and I got annual passes and will be returning. We didn't see everything during the 2h we spent there.
We particularly enjoyed the large variety of species and how well kept everything is.
Nina Purhenn
The grounds were beautiful for a first time guest like myself. However the original attraction for our visit was sadly misrepresented by outdated website information. The forest like plant characters and other garden sculptures are no longer part of the museum. After more information was provided by a volunteer, we were told the museum is in a theme transitional period. Many displays were also undergoing maintenance during our visit. Overall, we certainly enjoyed the beautiful parks, gardens, conservatory along with all the history and information the museum offered. We were just disappointed that the website didn't display an accurate depiction of the museum currently.

Such a beautiful garden with so many areas to explore; all mesmerizing with must see experiences! The orchids are my favorite!! Thank You for keeping the garden so lush…even in the Winter! Amazing!
Zulema & Jose Martinez
OK. I expected to be more interesting and colorful maybe it was the season I visited it. But after all it is a good place to spend some time. Good parking inside the park. The restaurant only served coffee, sodas and snacks.
Laurence Mc Nally
The winter lights are absolutely amazing! There are many areas to explore around and great for families. There are plenty of snack tents and bars serving a variety of hot and cold beverages. Drinks are $6 for hot chocolate to $12 for spiked drinks. Give yourself an extra 30mins to get in as there was a long line of cars to get into the parking lot.
I’ll definitely be back next year!
PS photos and videos don’t do the lights justice

Not as amazing as the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh; however, I would recommend visiting this world-class institution. Plan on spending at least three hours, if not the majority of the day, if you want to tour the entire grounds. Be sure to pay a visit to the Cascade Garden to see the Earth Goddess. Personally, I found the tree frog exhibit fascinating.

The map for this place was terrible. Once you know your way around it’s ok from there. Don’t expect too much from any associates. They did have alcohol when we went. It’s a romantic scene however, I think going in Spring would have been smarter for seeing more LIVE beautiful plants.

Very excited to visit the gardens. Our first time to Atlanta. It was so hit but very worth it. We had lunch at the restaurant, server was very friendly! Drinks and food were good!

Apparently the weather machine was on or off the day we went. Beautiful, clear skies, 69 maybe 70 degrees, while today it's thundering and tornadoes watches, lol. The park itself was great. My kids are 5 and under and we went with friends whose kids are the same age. For adults, they had a beer guy and a concession stand. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked like there was a cool ambiance for young couples or 1 child families, lol. There was a nice open patio and it was full of folks enjoying the weather machine. The actual exhibits are really nice. We started somewhat in the trees, like in the canopy and went downward. The Moana looking art piece was cool, but that exhibit was missing the water which I'm sure makes it look better. The tulips around the fountain was really nice. The greenhouse with all the different regions and plants was really nice as well. Good trip. Hope to go again. Last bit, we came during a time that seemed like transition. Later in the season will probably have more flora to see and experience.
Gina LeQueux
Even though I have been here for other exhibits, the garden lights is my favorite! I've been every Christmas for the past 5 yrs. Wonderful with family, a romantic date or even by yourself! The lights over the bridge that plays to the music is my favorite and I always leave it til last so I can sit through it several times!

Honestly, this place felt too overpriced for what we saw. We went to the Garden Lights, Holiday Nights event which begins at 5 pm after the garden's normal hours. First, the mood was soured at the beginning by the $10 event parking that I don't believe was clearly stated on the website. Normally it's only like $4ish bucks so knowing that with the high price of the ticket was just ... Sigh. Just getting into the place to park took a long time. The place does have a lot of pretty lights for the holiday season, but I think it's more magical for families with young kids than adults without kids. I did enjoy some of the large metal origami art, but even so I only saw maybe 3 statues. The canopy walk is the best part, where the lights are in sync with the music. Even if I was just visiting for the normal gardens admission during the day, I'd think I was ripped off. I was sad there isn't a butterfly exhibit, and there really aren't a lot of different plant species around to enjoy. The holiday trains exhibit was so lackluster, enthusiast or not. After seeing the Ice Goddess in the gift shop, I would have rather seen her natural hair with the different colors from the plants instead of the 2-tone green and blue lights that were just underwhelming after seeing the unlit statue. The little snack hut they had running only had half the menu available, and the other half was all crossed out. The drink stand they had with some hot chocolate and mixed drinks was super overpriced and would've been nearly $15 for one drink with tip. There was an area for enjoying s'mores, but you have to pay extra for that too. I'm not that much of a penny pincher while on vacation, but this just didn't seem worth what I paid for the base price.

Amazing green space in the middle of a busy city. Relax, have a stroll on the many paths and visit the greenhouses. I could go on and on about how beautiful everything is and the wide assortment of botanicals, flowers, bonsai plants and everything else but I figure a picture is worth 1000 words so here’s several thousand words attached to this review.
Lynn McKibbin-Moore
I was given a free pass for two. I was lucky enough to go yesterday….Breathtaking!
The Origami exhibition was exceptional.
My husband has dementia and myself arthritis.
We jumped in to a hop in hop off tour. 5 people ….time to take pictures and ask dozens of questions. No stress or rush… and free!
The gardens are huge. We decided to buy a family pass. It gives you four free passes for friends that visit. 115.00 for a year and they give you an extra month as a gift.
There are pop up bars and music for the happy hour crowd to stop buy …. Have a glass and see some beauty and release stress after a long day.
They are constantly changing so it will never be old and boring. The fall will be amazing. They have a winter lights festival.
The parking and food are reasonable and good.
This was a treasure from Atlanta that you can’t miss.
p.s. The year pass let’s you go to lots of botanical gardens around the country included.
Gibbs Gardens are next!

I’ve seen Garden Lights Holiday Nights online the past two years and decided this year I would go. The lights did not disappoint and were beyond amazing. I am definitely planning on going back. We had 8:15 reservations and made it out at 10:55 pm.
Adam Scanlan
What a beautiful place to walk around. Prepare to spend a few hours and bring your walking shoes. There are water bottle refill stations throughout. If you bring kiddos, have them bring their swimsuits or something that can get wet in the kid area.
Nick Felton
I have serious mobility issues and I'm a large man. They don't tell you ahead of time that they don't rent their electric scooters if it's raining a little. Made the whole experience more difficult. A regular wheel chair doesn't work as well and causes a lot trouble for my family. The orchids were amazing and the little frogs are interesting.
David Washburn
A beautiful place with a beautiful Christmas light show. This was our first trip back to Garden Lights Holiday Nights since the pandemic began (so glad masks are only required indoors!). It was a little different than we remembered it--maybe not as much to see compared to two years ago, if only by a little. The main attractions are still there, as good as ever, and it remains a must-see Christmas tradition in Atlanta, well worth the cost of admission. NOTE: We had 9:45 entry tickets, which was JUST ENOUGH time to walk through leisurely and see everything before the Gardens closed at 11pm on Thursday evening. Had we stopped to eat or drink at any point we probably would have missed some of the synchronized light-and-music that loops in the cascading-lights section, which is the main attraction of Garden Lights. Plan accordingly.
Jonel Leger
Great place for a family with kids. There was something for everyone. The fort building and playground was a big hit with the 4 - 13 year olds. The grounds and gardens were fabulous. We spent about 5 hours here!
Gabriel V
Lovely time. If you have the right weather, totally worth paying the admission fee and enjoying an hour or two of some great sights. Grounds are well kept. Every employee I interacted with was very nice. Price was reasonable to get in. Definitely worth checking out if you're in town and want an outdoor something to see!
Janette Badia
Beautiful! Loved every minute of my time there with my daughter. Check out the restaurant you can walk to from inside the gardens as well. All were just lovely!
Hannah Newman
I went for the first time for the holiday lights and was blown away by everything. My favorite, though, weirdly enough, was the tropical jungle exhibit that they had (prolly cause it was warm). When you exit that exhibit, there’s dance music, a huge bouquet sculpture, s’mores area, and a drink/ snack bar.
We went on a Saturday night so literally ever drink bar had the longest line, but that’s out of their control.
Southern Merbabe
We visit the gardens every year for the Christmas light display! It is a fully immersive experience. They have food, drinks, fire pits to roast marshmallows for smores, a live DJ, and a great family environment. You will not be disappointed in your visit!
Andrew Wu
It Is huge and worthy of exploring it for hours. The cascade Is not that beautiful. But The orchid center Is pretty good. Overall very nice to wake through trees and flowers.
Ifini Sheppard
OMG!! This place is amazing just GP so when they add the Holiday Light event that really takes it over the top!! What a beautiful spectacle ~ A lovely way to spend a winter's eve. Hot drinks & a DJ just added to the sweetness!! 😘 …
Nancy Uche
Im so glad my friend brought me here because this place is sooo beautiful. There is so much to see so wear comfortable shoes. There is so much amazing artwork to see throughout the gardens. They have a cafe and gift shop as well. You should definitely go and check out this place! You will love it. Check out more of my post on Instagram: nancyuche_

It is a very fun place, but it's not handicap friendly. I had to push my friend around in the wheelchair in very high hills and slopes. It was very difficult. The place doesn't have automatic door openings or signs to guide those that are in wheelchairs. Overall, it was all beautiful and a workout; a beautiful workout.
Aron Reyder
We went for the "Garden Lights". Very recommended, so underrated!
This show is for old and young alike (though it might be a bit late).
You can buy tickets online or at the gardens. Although they might not have tickets available for the next immediate time slots. The time slots are just to spread out the crowds, but they won't let you in earlier than your slot.
You walk the place by yourself, at your own pace, and there is no time limit. The walk will take 1.5 - 2 hours, depending on your pace.
I recommend going to the left first then to the right. On the left you have some amazing light displays and snack/ drink stations. To the right is the art displays and the "light show", a great way to end the evening.
Parking is on site and $10 per vehicle.
Lōs Sanchez
This is definitely a must see of you're coming to Atlanta. It feels as if you're in a lush forest along the sky bridge. Then you head into beautiful gardens with flowers and bees. You don't feel as if you're in a city at all. Loved it.
Claudia
Came here unplanned and it did not disappoint! Beautiful and so many variety of plants to see! Bring snacks and water (thought they have water stations and a place where you can buy snacks) Highly recommend for families and dates :) you can see more photos on my instagram @hola.es.paola

My husband and I went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens since we were in the area. It was in the middle of the week so it wasn’t busy. Since it is fall, most of the trees were changing colors which looked beautiful! That night they were going to start lighting the Garden with Christmas lights. If you get a change stop by and walk around, it takes less than 3- 4 hours . We ended staying longer because we ate at the restaurant which was absolutely delicious and we took our time to read what the plant species were. Don’t forget to check out the indoor plant exhibits as well, you will be amazed at the different environments. We plan on going again before Christmas to see the lights.
Stacey Roseman
So MAGICAL!!! This was our highlight of our Atlanta trip, it was so fun and a very large garden. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here enjoying the artwork and beautiful plants.
Dave
Nice way to spend an afternoon. Free parking across the street on the Prado NE (residential area). 🚗
Food:
Snack bar is criminally overpriced! $7 for a turkey roll ($2 value).💸
If you're hungry, walk across Piedmont Park to eat at Mediterranean Grill, $10 gets you a combo feast.👍
Diane Lynch
I had not been here for many years. What a delightful experience! The gardens and Tropical Forrest is a great cooling place in this hot weather. Lunch in the grab and go Cafe was fun. Family fun or pick a friend and enjoy this oasis in the heart ❤️ of Atlanta!
jaime
It's a wonderful place to go and, you can never seem to see the same thing every time, there's always something new...My mother and I have a(Membership), and we were sharing our experiences with a friend from out of town, and we all had a great time...!! Plenty for everyone to do and share, there's a nice restaurant to eat at as well, a lovely gift Shoppe too!! There's Alot, and I mean Alot of benches and places to sit down at and visit or rest at as well!! This is essentially very nice and important for some of my loving friends and family too..This was very helpful..I am ALWAYS excited to see what's next here..The Holidays are coming up so I am so happy for the Lights and decorations were beginning to get put into place as well.. There's a lot to do and see and share here..The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is a must on anyone's list of things to do and enjoy!!
Patrice Hitchcock (Patrice Antoinette)
I was so excited to see the lights! Everything was breathtaking 🥰 I look forward to coming back when more of the flowers are in full bloom. Definitely a must visit! …

Very beautiful garden. Attended the open kitchen cooking demonstration. Impressed that there are greenhouses for different climate. Nice restaurant. A great place to spend time with family, for date, or just to appreciation the nature.
Paul McPherson
I visited the Earth Goddess for the first time. This is such a beautiful section of the gardens. This area isn’t the largest, but yet a very popular photo location for attendees.
Jus Toya
this was a really great holiday date night experience, the weather was cooperating like nobody’s business. this was a whole experience from the car ride in to the walk around where you realize that’s where we came IN !! the music filled the air and the lights put on the show they were designed to do All exciting and a Joi to see and celebrate the season with my bae. Would definitely recommend, plus arrive ahead of time for parking to better enjoy your experience - walking shoes
lilly burton
Me and my boyfriend came here and we had so much fun. It was so beautiful and since we both love nature. It was perfect. I can’t wait to come back here!

I took my 2 young adult daughters to the Christmas Light event this past Christmas, after talking about doing it for years! I purchased tickets ahead online, which was very easy to do ... even with the COVID hour time slot system. It was an unusually cold night that we went, but that didn't damper our fun. We made a night of it! Started with a nice warm drink, toured all the lights, danced along with the outdoor band, became mesmerized in the string light musical forest and then had dinner at the park's restaurant. I would skip the dinner next time and do that outside the park (it was just "ok"), all of what we came there to do was amazing! I also thought that parking would be a big hassle, but it wasn't at all. There is a huge parking deck there, so you don't have to worry about parking on the street, etc. ... it's all taken care of!
Bobby Faison
This was the best botanical garden I've ever been to. So many different types of plants, trees, vegetables, and flowers. They even have classes they offer, serve food, have a park, and a trail. Fantastic place to spend a chill day.
Bunnie 3
Tulips 🌷, Daffodils, and Orchids in one place?!!! I was in HEAVEN 🤩🤩🤩🥰
Orchid Daze, the Bonsai Exhibit.... so many things to see! The Long Leaf Café is a little pricey, but worth every penny. I love this place! …
Anastasia Radionova
Definitely worth visiting! It's way more beautiful in person. Pictures don't do justice. I was able to touch a sensitive plant in person which was so really cool! I wish I lived in the area because the amazing thing about botanical gardens is they are evolving and they change throughout the year. This is the type of place that deserves multiple visits.
Jessica Winfrey
Took my son to see the Christmas lights and it was awesome!! I loved the canopy walk through the forest of lights, just amazing. My son's favorite was the train display area. We had a wonderful time. Will definitely be back!!
Sherry Carpenter
So beautiful and peaceful. We had such a wonderful time meandering the extensive gardens for over 3 hours. We got a few drinks and a snack. It was a really nice time. The scare crows were very fun along with all the mums and pumpkins. I loved seeing all the orchids and epiphytes. Definitely recommend to plant lovers and viewers of pretty plants.
Ashley
Such an amazing experience! My favorite light show so far this year! Although the tickets are high and you also have to have to pay for parking, compared to other light showings of similar pricing, it is worth it! Plan to get there wayyy before your ticket time. It took a very long time to get from the main road to the ticket booth.
Tiffani Patterson
This is one of the most beautiful and serene places to visit in Atlanta. The canopy walk was well shaded and there are places throughout all the gardens to sit and enjoy the many water features, greenery and flowers. The best part was seeing all the birds and butterflies enjoying themselves. The ABG is a must do when you come to Atlanta!
Salina Sanchez
So beautiful! I could seriously just live here and never leave. The swings at Alston Overlook are EVERYTHING. Seriously. It really is the best spot to just sit and enjoy the scenery. Trust me.
Sandralyn Dannelley
The Winter Holiday theme was beautiful and fun for our family and a 3 year old. The lights were lovely and timed to music in many cases. (Strobe light consideration) We were at the beginning of the timed entry so it was fairly easy to maintain social distance at first. It did bottle neck a bit at the exit. The paths are mostly accessible for wheel mobility devices, but the hills might be a bit much for some manual wheelchair users. There are some deeper and uneven cuts in the side walks that will catch casters so be careful. Bathrooms were reasonably accessible for wheelchair users, but muddy on our rainy evening.

My friend and I went to ATL for a relaxation trip. The forecast called for rain for our whole trip. We took a chance and visited the garden 8/20/2022. The garden is very tranquil and unique. We did not get through the whole park. There are a few indoor garden features. Good for cooling off. They have a few stands for snacks and drinks. They have a gift shop. This is good for families, couples, and groups. I am glad we stopped by to experience the ambiance. I would like to come back for cocktails in the garden, it's in the evenings. Might be good for a date night with the hubby. Great place for pics as well. There's a pick and drop off area by the ticket stand/ entrance for an Uber or Lyft.
Wilson Fujinaga
Only had an hour or so to explore this garden, but what an amazing time we had. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and hope to be back soon. The orchard garden had so many species I never knew existed.
Tiffany Hill
I enjoyed it! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. Went early during the week and in the day to avoid crowds, and it was perfect. There is a full restaurant if you want a proper meal. There is also a snack bar, equipped with indoor seating, or you can grab a drink (coffee, alcohol, or other) and/or snack to-go.
The kid’s play section is open from 10 am to 12 pm with a water splash section during the summer months.
Parking is straight forward. The garage levels 1-3 are for Piedmont Park parking, and levels 4 & 5 are for the Gardens. The first 30 mins are free, after that it’s $2, and then a dollar every hour after. I can’t imagine you doing the entirety of the gardens in less than 3 hours, and that depends on crowds and how much time you spend there. You can also access it by ride share, bike or scooter. There is a bike rack for bikes.
The current installation is Origami In The Park. The map, paper or digital, will point out where all of the installations are located.
Plenty of rest spots and seating throughout. You can bring in your own food and drink. One of my top fav places to visit in the city. Tues-Sat they also have drinks in the park from 5-9 pm and everything is lit up. I plan to return to enjoy that.
It is also wheelchair accessible.
Enjoy!
Nikita Koba
I went to see it a week ago and it was magnificent! The lights were amazing and everything was done really well. I really enjoyed my visit and I recommend people to check it out!
nishant pillai
It’s a great place to see the Christmas and new year lightings. Beautiful light shows in different sections of the garden. We went on 31st eve at around 8pm. We booked general tickets online for about 50$ each. They have different slots available so book earlier if you are planning for a specific time during public holidays or something. There are premium tickets available as well with some add ons. I would recommend to go for general though. There are stalls at different sections of the garden where you can buy drinks like wine, carbonated beverages, hot cocoa and cider. There is a cafe as well near the restroom area which we couldn’t check out as they close a bit early (around 9ish). You exit near to gift shop which is bit pricey.
PS: One can spend easily around 1.5-2 hrs inside, be aware to check out the marking boards and maps so that you don’t miss out on any particular section. Paid parking is available!
Hope this is helpful!

This is one of Atlanta's best spots to get away from the humdrum of the city! It is an oasis! There's always something special happening! We weren't lucky enough to get a spot in the restaurant but reserve in advance! There's so much to do and the Flora is stunningly beautiful! If you have little ones don't forget their swimsuits... there's a little water spring that they can play in!
Shreejit Gangadharan
Calming and beautiful garden at the entrance of Piedmont Park.
A little dry in the winter and less to see during the day but has reservations for the night time lighting during the holiday season. Book at least 3 weeks in advance though as slots run out very early!
It is absolutely gorgeous in the summer though but the tickets also get more expensive so look out for deals.
Sherma Paul
We got there just an hour and a half before it closed but the visit was still enjoyable. The garden is immaculate and the staff was very friendly. We'll definitely visit again!
Kim Houston
The holiday decor is quite beautiful. A great place for a date night, take the kids, and beautiful photo opportunities. There is hot cocoa and make it an adult version of the drink, along with a small variety of other adult beverages. Take your time an stroll to see the beautiful lights. There are cool 3D effects with the lights, so consider upgrading to the package above general admission. It's worth it because you get a free drink.
But, arrive at least 30 - 45 minutes early if you plan to park in their parking deck. Traffic is pretty heavy and it will take time to enter. Also, you are only allowed to enter the garden at your scheduled time.
Christina Morgan
I visit often but this was my first Garden Lights. Really well done with s'mores and holiday drinks. There was a section of lights that moved in beat with the music. Highly recommend!
John Deutsch
Wonderful botanical garden. The Orchid exhibition was stunning. The woodland gardens were beautifully done and shady, even on a hot summer day.
Sterling K
This was a very enjoyable day. We walked a few miles to get there and then walked the gardens. It was a beautiful day, thank you for all the beautiful gardens.
Bethany McGrath
Beautiful serene place to spend the day & even have a cocktail or bite to eat. Plan to wander the grounds slowly & enjoy.plenty of shade & sun for all.
SR White
Loved it! I am so happy the lady at admission explained the membership. This is the best thing I have joined for traveling. This membership allows visits to botanical gardens in every state. Well worth the membership!
Randy Campbell Sr
A gorgeous and colorful atmosphere. The host were pleasant and knowledgeable. There was an abundance of areas to explore and even a children's garden area. Definitely a most.
Christie Piersol
Came in the Fall and enjoyed all of the beautiful leaves changing, beautiful place! Took about 3 hours to get through it all.. lots of ground to cover, wear your walking shoes!! They also have a holiday lights event they do that looks like it's going to be lit for Christmas...no pun intended!
David Ace
Gorgeous place to visit. Quiet and colorful and full of interesting scenery. We are glad we decided to go and can't wait to go back again during our next ATL visit.
Weylin Brown
The Gardens always do such a great job, and the rotating exhibits are spectacular. They have special events, as well as great drinks for a hot summer day walking through the gardens.
Sowing Clover Photography
I lived in Atlanta 33 years and have now finally made it to the gardens to photograph this lovely couple. I was shocked how much I loved the gardens and how expansive it is! I particularly loved the rainforest habitat! If you're looking for photo ideas please scroll and check out the shots we go inside the rainforest. <3 And the staff were super accommodating to show us around to make sure we hit all the great spots!
maggie
Very beautiful garden. Unfortunately we went when a lot of sections were under construction or closed, so we did not get to see much. Otherwise very peaceful. Nice walking trail.
Anu Trivedi
I have been to the botanical garden multiple times, and I never get tired of it! If you live in Atlanta, the membership is SO worth it. I love seeing the new exhibits, especially the Christmas lights!
Jess W.
I went to the garden for its "Garden Lights" show with my family and wow, it was so worth it! I've never seen a light show so extravagant and colorful! My family had so much fun, I highly recommend even though Atlanta traffic sucks! I paid $10 for parking at the entrance which wasn't bad.
Jenette Arreola
I was seriously overdressed for this occasion- walking through the wonders of the Botanical Garden. I wore high heels. Big mistake! But see, my (now) husband didn’t inform me the walk would be as lengthy as it was: approximately two hours of non-stop walking. Did I enjoy it? Greatly (just a few feet blisters). Anyway, the exhibitions are magnificent! So much beauty and information in so little time! What I enjoyed most was the diversity of plant species. They were grown in various green houses, all different living conditions and temperatures. Adjacent to the plants you can find plaques of information. You’ll also encounter plenty of glass works and art, concession stands and rest areas, live music and entertainment. This all is definitely worth viewing! 😊
Ariel Figuera
Would recommend for quality time with your parents and/or nature and plant lovers! We went mid week- mid day and it was not crowded at all. We walked the whole gardens which took us a few hours.
Kim Ray
It’s a great botanical garden. It’s a bit pricey though but we had so much fun there. Specially as you can get some snacks and drink inside the garden
Wendy Richardson
I had a great time (even in the sun). This was a really great experience. I loved it and had great company. Parking was easy and the exhibit were beautiful!!!! Remindered me of my childhood....
Ghassan Abuelian
Very green. Nice shades of green. Lots to see. You can get a real good walk out of this place. The restaurant is pretty decent.
Amber Birschbach
Not worth the price, at least not in September. Terrible mosquitos, little shade (I was so hot). Rose garden a disappointment. Japanese Garden was small.
Lots of walkways and a restaurant instead (I didn't go there). I saw a nice playground for kids.
Regina John
My very first experience at Atlanta Botanical Garden. It was a very peaceful and exploratory visit.
Definitely bring your walking shoes and a camera to take wonderful pictures.
ChaPatana
The overall experience was good but the main reason I chose to visit the botanical garden (when I only had 1day in ATL) was to see the colorful Cascade lady. So I was very disappointed to see it empty as shown in the photos (April 16th). Although I enjoyed my time there, I wouldn't visit the garden if I knew that beforehand. $22.95 was steep for what they had on the display.
Tim and Michelle Bolduc
Atlanta Botanical Garden is beautiful gem in downtown Atlanta. Celebrating the Christmas season with Garden of Lights needs to be on everyone’s tradition list. Grab hot cocoa and enjoy the walk through lights. The miniature train village is adorable.
Elizabeth Hadden
Incredibly beautiful garden that you can spend all day exploring. There’s something to see for everyone and greenhouse style spaces to explore too. Very well maintained and easy to navigate. So many things to see!
ShmooCanDo
One of the best botanical gardens I've ever seen everything I've seen there was beautiful definitely worth it to go see. Spacious and lots to see, never felt too crowded either.
Haley Martin
Absolutely gorgeous grounds. Great fun for all ages and has a restaurant on the ground as well as plenty of bathrooms throughout. Must see in ATL.
Ronnie Esquivel
Beautiful place to check out when in the Atlanta area. Tickets are around $20 to $25 per person and well worth it. I recommend buying tickets at the location especially if you qualify for a military discount which has to be redeemed on site and you can also avoid the $5 online booking/service fee.
We spent about 4 hours at this location. There is one section dedicated to children where you can find family friendly bathrooms which also have sunblock,. which was really cool. You can also find water fountains/fill stations, a water mister area (so be sure to pack or wear bathing suit) and other areas set up for them to play. It is quite a bit of walking so be prepared for that. There are a snack bar and restaurant with pricing you'd expect. You are not allowed to bring in food or drinks except for water, but no one was checking bags. There's also a gift shop with plenty of overpriced items :)
Overall great place to come and visit. It is also next to Piedmont Park which can only add to your to your day.
Karma Summers
It was amazing to see all the different plants! If you are looking to see the Earth Goddess make SURE she is in bloom. We went at the wrong time & didn't see her in color but it was CERTAINLY worth Every beautiful second!!Will definitely be going back
M
In between seasons was not the best time to visit. We enjoyed the orchid house. There is also a fun kids area that includes a water playground open I'm summer.
Terry Rose
Was our first time visiting. Although it was a little early for the tulips it was lovely! The orchards were beautiful in every color and shade.
David Lazar
This is the way a botanical garden should be maintained. The only complaint I have about ABG is the price of entry. That said, they do offer a lot if you pay for the annual membership and you can easily spend a half a day here exploring, especially if you have young kids.
We visited during the origami exhibition and it really added a lot to the experience. It wasn't too hot in mid-September but it can really be sweltering here earlier in the summer.
PRO TIP: Come here for lunch at Longleaf Cafe. It is way better than you think its going to be. It is a very modern space with ourdoor seating that faces the garden. You will want to give it a try.
Agnes Huegin
The tulips looked beautiful and the orchids are amazing. This is a wonderful place to go and enjoy beautiful flowers. So peaceful!!!
Jean Miller
My mother was visiting and we went more for her than me. It was ok but kinda over-rated. The layout causes a lot of backtracking and just wasn't all that impressed. Aside from the tree canopy when u first walk in, I was kinda just... bored almost. I don't know what I expected but probably won't do it again. It's kinda like a one-and-done type event. I will say this I'm super glad I'm not one of the people taking down or untangling those lights, those people aren't getting paid near enough to do what they do! Go just to say you've done it and can participate in a conversation when it comes up next year when you run into someone who does it for the first time, otherwise, for the price of tickets, I'd pass.
Ali M
Very beautiful place! We were able to check everything out in 2 hours. Many different plants, landscapes, and art to see.
Craig Osborne
We went for the Festival of Lights so this review is more focused on that and overall experience than the gardens themselves. Ticket purchases were easy online. I attended several years ago and parked offsite on a nearby street, there’s plenty of nearby parking and there was a lot with a ramp onsite for those that wish to go that route. Staff were friendly when greeting us upon arrival and throughout the event.
Beautiful gardens in some of the areas that we were able to see and the lights were incredible! A truly spectacular was to kick off the holiday season!
Ben Knees
Great place to spend an afternoon. I've heard the lights are lovely at night during the fall/winter but we, unfortunately, did not see them.
Prices felt a bit steep for what you get in the fall, but it's hard to fault a place dedicated to nature.
RAKESH DESAI
We visited this month, its small but interesting garden, lovely roses and many inside plants and flowers. worth visiting. takes about two hours max.
Just A Book Belle
We went for our 4th year anniversary on a Tuesday evening. It was so very crowded. I was surprised!
It was beautiful and a nice walk though. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The hot cocoa and winter lights made for a very romantic evening.
Marieanne Porter
This place is a wonderland! One can easily spend all day here and have a blast. So much to see and experience! It’s so beautiful all year around. Always new botanicals and exhibits every season. The kids Garden is particularly fun for the little ones. If you haven’t been here yet, what are you waiting for??
Siran Craig
This was my first time here. I've lived in Georgia for 12 years it was great. It was hot when me and my family went but it was so pretty. Prices are relatively okay. I'd love to go at night to see how it is. I'd recommend moat definitely.
Heather Barbie
What a BEAUTIFUL experience! The grounds are absolutely breath taking! The flowers, plants, foliage, blown glass, sculptures, food growing, was all so captivating. They had a restaurant on the premises, but we didn't check that out. If you're in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend checking this place out. It's great for kids, events, and just people who can appreciate the beauty of nature. I will tell you, it's 98% outside, so be prepared to be hot, but it is totally worth the sweating!!!
Gareth Evans
Visited in early November. While parts of the park are pretty, there's nothing much to see and do here compared to other similar Gardens and there wasn't much by way of evergreen/year round plants to enjoy. The model railway wasn't running, the children's gardens were empty and bare. Not really worth the $60 for two adults
Rajendra Seervi
It was wonderful being there..... Few of the attractions were going through maintenance so could not see them... But overall it was good.
Dolma’s World
Beautiful but since they were renovating some places we didn’t had a luck seeing this beautiful woman with flowers on. Over all beautiful… loved it.
Jerry McGinnis
We saw the Christmas lights and it was a really nice display with many different types and some choreographed to music. Great family experience in a beautiful place
Krystal Lewis
The best part was the orchid conservatory. It's best to go in season. Due to winter ❄️🥶 it wasn't the best situation. Me andy children still enjoyed ourselves. …
Samantha Young
Really beautiful! Nice just to walk around and see the wonderfully maintained grounds. There is also so much art throughout!! Would go back, and definitely would consider a membership if I was closer. : )
Some stairs, mostly ramps, so pretty accessible.
Ben Gerard
An amazing experience once inside! However, there has got to be a better way to get vehicles in and out of the parking deck. Traffic backed up in all directions, even with an officer at the entrance intersection, trying to get in. The exit was just as bad with only 1 exit lane and the attendant having to swipe a barcode on the end of a stick to raise the bar for each and every car to exit.
gary sego
Great layout of the grounds flat fields and small gorges. Easy to transit the gardens and a walk thru the canopy. Places to get drinks and snacks or a full sit-down meal.
Sunni Secrets
ABG is a realllly cute situation for any occasion! i remember this being a go to spot when i was a nanny (still available 👋🏾)
my latest visit was for an afternoon date & i absolute loved the origami exhibit... i'd definitely suggest walking shoes over im here to impress shoes because there's soooo much to see! actually never made it pass the rose garden to the inside building [forgot its name] but houses all of the beautiful orchids that i love so so much!! the gift shop will get you in trouble too, enjoy!
Alex
It was a really big place, some very neat installations, some not so neat. Very entertaining area to spend some few hours and look at different plants.
M Bray
Took my mother here for bonding time. She is disabled and the staff was very helpful in assisting me with motor scooter rental. She was able to explore the whole garden. Due to the time of year, some of the displays are not in bloom and new installations are being put up. But over all we both truly enjoyed it. The only bad spot was the orchid house. Unfortunately the path ways inside were too narrow for her to maneuver.
Dorris Broxton
it is just flowers now but the maintenance person said from August to January the lights will return. The flowers were absolutely beautiful. There are so many to see.
Jean Surguy
Beautiful place to visit. Lots of different areas to visit. Grandsons loved the children 's garden with splash pad.
Jack
I'd consider myself a wanna be photographer. And an appreciator of nature. If you love learning or seeing any type of nature/plants/flowers.
The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a swell place. Fantastic landscape, easy to walk around, beautiful scenery, and overall very peaceful. Definitely has got a very good aroma in specific areas but still has that nature smell we all love and enjoy
Thai Kajangu
I have visited this establishment many times in the past two 3 years. A year pass is well worth it! Lots of perks to go along as well. Just recently went and it was beautiful and different each time we go. The decorations changes with the seasons. We spent almost 4 hours there and parking was only $7. It was $50+ for two adults. Their splash pad was open which was fantastic as it was so hot. Looking forward to coming back in the winter time for the Christmas lights!
Diana Petsitter101
Visit 6/28/2022: walked the gardens and found everything beautiful and peaceful. Pineapple Lily blooming in the Rose Garden was thrilling to see. The water lillies were showing off. Still My Favorite local Botanical Garden. Always something outstanding to see in all weather.
Visit January 2022: Discovered the High Elevation Greenhouse and was so thrilled to see plants from the Himalayas, Venezuela, Borneo and more. Just a beautiful, well layed out walking garden.
Keisha B
Cute Not stroller friendly unless you park at the very top of the parking garage otherwise you have to walk on the opposite side of the parking garage i parked level 3 in the middle so i can access one side of the garage that has a ramp down to piedmont park then a few hills up to gardens.. NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKs
charles edwards
Was looking for something outside to do with my kids and they enjoyed themselves. Wasn't expecting to buy an annual membership but it made more sense and the deal had good value.
Prabhasa Kalkur
Perfect place for a family outing during the day and couple outing during evenings (cuz of the pretty lights haha). Special displays available during Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas seasons. Flowers best seen during spring/summer. The observatory can be a fun place to see for all.
Suria Nataadmadja
This garden located next to Piedmont Park. The garden is having Origami theme when we’re there . Big origami scattered around the garden. Pleasant during weekdays except Mondays. Weekends really crowded.
Alundis Pledge
ABG is a work of art and us a hidden gem in ATL. If you are looking to escape the heat and find something nice and tranquil to do or even a place to spend a little time away this is the place. The garden is well kept and also has entertainment options in the garden.
S G
We flew up to Atlanta to visit our daughter over Christmas and went to the Botanical Gardens-it was spectacular. Have been to many different light displays, but this was by far the best. We loved walking thru the gardens and especially enjoyed the lights that hung from the trees and blinked on and off to Frank Sinatra and other classic songs. The grounds are beautifully decorated and we are thinking of flying up from Florida every year to experience this magical place. You can even enjoy an adult beverage while strolling thru the grounds. Highly suggest buying tickets far in advance! Only con was actually getting into the entrance/parking- waited over an hour to turn into the entrance. They definitely need someone out there directing traffic on busy nights.
Christin Kim
Holiday Garden lights show was beautiful.
Many different lights , decorations, and photo opportunities. Good for the whole family.
Alicia Lei
I truly wish I came when flowers were ALL in bloom but the experience was still just as exciting. Also wish I would have come at night, they have a light display. I do plan on coming back and enjoy more of the scenery.
Anisa Lowrey
We attended the holiday lights event. It was great! The exhibits with music were especially good.
Cosmo F.
I usually think botanical gardens are boring, but I’m so glad I was dragged into this event. I went with my cousins and we just had so much fun. It kind of felt like you were in Star Wars with all the lights. I went during the light show, but I’m not sure if I would go if there was no lights and music. There was also lots of free, hot chocolate, and s’mores and alcohol if you got the premium pass. Moreover, there is some dancing throughout the event. The bathrooms were also very clean so I appreciate that a lot!
sandra rodriguez
This place is wonderful. I was there two weeks ago. There are local plants and from other countries, and all of them can be appreciated in their own environment. In just one place!!!.
Steve Uriz
One of our yearly traditions. We love visiting The Gardens to get into the seasons spirit. They are amazing each and every year!
Joseph Garay
An amazing place. We made the mistake of not arriving until about 2pm so there was a lot we did not get to see before it was dark. I highly recommend visiting. The price seemed steep until we spent the afternoon; now we feel the price was more than reasonable. Not only was there an extensive collection of plants but activities for kids, live music, and a small selection of alcoholic beverages at a centrally located snack counter. I can't wait to visit again.
Nathanial Strickland
Went here for the garden of lights event. It was beautiful and really fun for my family to see all of the lights and holiday spirit. Would definitely recommend checking it out.
Keisha Clyde
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she absolutely loved it ❤️ despite the rain we had a beautiful time, this is definitely a place to visit very relaxing I will definitely be back.
Jules Perry
Last week of Scarecrows in the Garden before the set up Lights in the Garden for Christmas season. The orchid exhibit in the conservatory in one of my favorite parts.
Joel Lee
Favorite things:
Rather than being one centralized garden, there are multiple gardens that are diverse in cultural, geological, and botanical themes. They also vary in design and size. I was pleasantly surprised that the park, which is around 30 acres, feels a lot smaller when walking the paths from garden to garden. It's not tiresome. The actual gardens themselves are remarkable, well kept (as are the common resting, snacking, and walking areas), and there is a lot to learn here.
My favorite part was the Fuqua Conservatory. See my last picture. It is basically an indoor mini jungle.
From wild orchids to poisonous dart frog (kept behind glass, of course!), this is an awesome place!
The only downside is the slightly overpriced tickets ($25 one entry) and far more expensive annual pass. However, as a one-time experience, this is worth it and proved to me to be a time of awe as well as gratitude to God for His wonderful creation.
Angelique Swann
Absolute winter wonderland! Always so well done. Just a great time with the family and friends wandering around, merry and bright.
Jacky Hernandez
Atlanta Botanical Garden was amazing. It's pretty big park,, we spend about 4 hours going around the park. Mask are required in the inside buildings, if you don't have one they sell them at the ticket booth. The flowers made out of glass are so unique and pretty.
Kenneth Davis
The Christmas lights are amazing. Great place to make a tradition family holiday visit. Tickets are for a specific time so it wasn't too crowded.
Chris Hanes
My #1 recommendation for you: get there as soon as they open! Far less crowded and far more peaceful as a result, though it certainly is beautiful and you can't go wrong visiting anytime.
My 14 year old daughter and I visited here in July 2021 and really enjoyed our time there. The staff was helpful and friendly and we very much enjoyed the thousands of varieties of plants and living awesomeness on display. We've visited a few other Botanical Gardens in the Southeast and this is definitely the largest and most established, in our experience.
Jim Flynn
A wonderful place to take your family. Absolutely beautiful flowers and a awesome holiday light display throughout. A must visit place whether you live locally or you're visiting
Emerald Look
I had a great time there! I saw many different kinds of couples, all enjoying each other's company, the day, and the scenery around them at the gardens. Wonderful place as a date destination. The restaurant was absolutely superb!
Ersela Evans
It was beautiful! The bathrooms were clean and the workers were friendly. Really loved the origami exhibit!!
Beauti FAHT
This was such a beautiful experience! The pictures don't do this place justice. You have to see and experience it in real time for yourself!
Yazmine58
Very first botanical garden experience and because of this one I fell in love and must experience one in every state. From the garden to the drinks to the music and ambiance this place is definitely a gem. And a must stop any and everytime I come to ATL always something.
Topaz Reid
a must go to exhibit if youre in atlanta! theres so much to see. theyve thoughtfully placed benches and stops throughout the park when you need a rest. the origami exhibit is on through October.
Lyssa Avanzato
Origami in the garden, is a fantastic exhibition happening at the BG from Kevin and Jennifer box. I highly suggest to check it out as a nice 2-4 hr activity.
Pritesh Patel
Got to catch the Holiday Light show on the last day and it was great! Had to grab their Ghirardelli hot cocoa as well on a cold night! The gardens are also super beautiful in the spring/summer time.
Lisa McCoy
Amazing. Beautiful. When we visited there were overhead banners with streamers, hand-blown glass flowers throughout the park. Chihuly glass at the main fountain. Plenty of benches for relaxing and enjoying the gardens, walking paths. Unique areas of highlighted plant types: desert, orchids, high altitude, edible garden. Truly a delight!
Abiezer Serrano
Wao, A magical place, full of Easter orchids. The Christmas decoration was extraordinary, you have to go to the waterfalls of Mother Earth. is awesome.
Diana Botello
Is a good spot for a date, I went with my bf and walk around the all garden and see too many beautiful flowers 🥰😍 …
Karina Guevara
Beautiful place. I really recommend it. Very big, informative, good exhibits. Loved the orchid center.
Phillis CHS
Just the perfect place to spend the afternoon. Walking the canopy and sitting at Alston overlook brings peace to your soul. Must visit!
Josephine Mattia
The place is beautiful! For someone whose first time was at this place, the scenery is wonderful up close, and the Conservatory is magnificent!
Ines Schmook
Just an amazing place! We are members and just love everything there—The Orchid Daze, the winter light show, the Fall displays, classes, the children’s play area and the restaurant! There is always something new there!
shayjaz
Went to see the Garden lights it is was amazing. I would suggest getting there by 5pm. It starts getting crowded around 6pm and you may not be able to find a park . Take a jacket or coat. Parking is 10.00.
Paul Lupcke
Very Beautiful Holiday lights display! I have been two times and have found it is cheaper, has better parking, and typically better weather if you go before Thanksgiving! It is perfect for the whole family!
Chase Rogers
The botanical garden is an awesome experience. I was highly recommended to visit since I'm from out of town and I was not disappointed. I'd love to be able to visit throughout the year to see the different exhibits and installations!
Greg Schuyler
First time in any botanical garden! Very amazing and peaceful. Not super crowded. Great for dates and good for kids too.
Christopher Broach
Excellent night out seeing the garden lights. Have more photos, bit don't want to spoil the experience that is worth seeing in person!
Juan Hurtado
I’ve not been to many gardens before but this was spectacular, really worth the money to go in and enjoy the 3 hours of walking around
Mary Smith
Beautiful place to check out when in the Atlanta area. I had a great time there. The restaurant was absolutely superb! They limit the amount of visitors.Took me a couple of hours to go through at a mild pace on my own. The kinetic art sculpture was fun to see.
Zaida Grilli
I really loved the place, they had an origami exhibition at the place at the moment and it was really nice. It is a place that I look forward to go again for sure.
Lovely Lasean
This place is AMAZING. I’ve lived in metro Atlanta for over 20 years and had never been. I decided to come today on a whim even though it was raining. When I tell you this place is worth every penny spent, I mean it. There is SO MUCH TO SEE. If you are a plant lover, nature lover, or just someone who loves the outdoors and beautiful flowers and scenery, you will be in heaven. Make sure to dress comfortably and wear comfortable shoes. There is a lot of walking and some of the areas are slippery when wet. My Apple Watch said I walked over 4 miles. It took me over 2 hours to see everything. There are so many photo ops. I went at 9 am right when they opened. Not many other people were there, which is good news for an introvert like me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. You’re required to wear masks in the indoor areas, and there were also plenty of bathrooms around for your convenience, and they were all clean. Parking was also a breeze. It cost me $7 for a nearly 3 hour stay, not bad at all if you ask me. They also have plenty of snacks, food places, and a gift shop. I am very pleased with my visit to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. I will be back!
Daniel Holt
Very beautiful area to visit. Nice to go walk and enjoy the gardens and relax.
Julie S
Beautiful! They were putting up thousands of strings of lights when we there in the trees and suggest if you have the opportunity to go in the evening it must amazing. Loved our visit.
lizbeth jose ventura
Very beautiful! Lots of walking! May take up to 2 hours to see everything. Went at the end of November so they had Christmas decorations already.
A'Kiyia Kelly (KIYIA)
Me and my Mom went here today.
This was her 1st time going her this was my 2nd time.
We really Enjoyed looking at all the plants and other beautiful things they had to offer.
Especially the Glass art. The Only Con is:
They don't take cash at all. They
I was so thirsty bc I forgot to bring my Credit card.
I wasn't able to get anything to drink or snack on.
I went to the restaurant and they had no Signs up about not taking cash.
They should have that up there when you 1st walk in.
I was very Unhappy with that...
I was able to pay for tickets online.
That was great.
So the Moral to the story is take a Debit or Visa with you.
But they use cash to pay for parking.
Didn't make Sense at all. 😳🤔
Taccara Wilson
This place was absolutely amazing I drove 6 to 8 hrs for a mini get away I had to stop here! Price are reasonable. The atmosphere was stunning me and my daughter loved it. If we ever made a trip back to Atlanta we will definitely visit again!
Bridget Jobe
The rose show was beautiful and I actually learned a great deal.
The Christmas/ holiday event was spectacular light show. Join as a member it is more cost effective!
A. S.
Amazing experience! I had a 7:30 pm ticket and had a wonderful time. My favorite part was the edible garden and the lotus flower sculptures. I definitely plan on going back to make sure I see everything.
Koorite
Such a beautuful place! Unfortunately we went before a lot of flowers were blooming, but the indoor rain forest place was awesome!
you look great today!
This place is beautiful! We went to the “Garden of Lights” exhibit for the holidays and it did NOT disappoint! I don’t want ti give away too much but was truly a wonderful sight to see!
I’ll post one picture though ;)
J Lawrence
Beautiful place, lots to see, and there are restaurants as well. You can catch the train and get off at midtown. Then route 27 for the bus will take you there! There are both day and night events!
Karin Rutherford
We visited last night for the Garden Lights - Holiday Nights event. Beautiful and inspiring! Millions of lights, holiday themed music and wine/hot chocolate stations throughout the walk. Just lovely!
Erin
The orchid house was very beautiful but did the Lettuce of admission I felt like the rest of the gardens were lacking. I'm sure it's beautiful in the spring though.
Keith Alston
Definitely a place to walk, relax, & just take in nature as it has been curated. I was able to view a few of the origami pieces of work.
Sol “Sunshine” Hernandez
Be prepared to walk (a lot)! It was in the 90's and some of their snack shops were closed. So could not buy a bottle of water to quench my thirst. Rose garden had few roses but the orchid garden was amazing.
Daniel Goyer
Well worth the cost of admission. Beautiful and well-maintained. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Atlanta.
Lexus Fox
Went here the last day before returning to LA and it was honestly my favorite activity in Atlanta. They had some live music and a bar where I ordered some mimosas, and some food. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting their friends in Atlanta.
Mark Williams
This has always been one of my favorite destinations. This spring they were celebrating origami with origami art.
Halimah Jordan
The Atlanta Botanical Garden was beautiful. So many different types of flowers presented in a most beautiful way. A friend had free tickets so I got to enjoy it all for free. They had a wedding taking place while we were there. The pictures almost say it all. It was a fun Saturday afternoon.
Quentin Seth Jr
Beautiful place with wonderful flowers. I enjoyed walking around, the weather was perfect for it too.
paulette orr
Beautiful gardens! A great way to spend the day and top off with lunch at the restaurant...great food!
Christy Godfrey
Wonderful Christmas display! The lights were magical and we’ll definitely be back next year! Great family experience.
Pooka
This place was beyond gorgeous. The weather was perfect and I got to experience all of the different sections due to everything opening back up. The Orchid Center was breathtaking and the place is well kept overall. I had a peaceful visit, beyond beautiful.
Naomi Holifield
Great botanical gardens! So many different species of plants. My kids loved the children's garden. Very large conservatory with tropical and desert plants. Currently there's an art installation with flowers made of blown glass that is very impressive.
Jessica Lane- Ooms
Gorgeous park, with gorgeous flowers and statues. Perfect for all ages. Jut make sure to beat the heat!
Reiko Brown
One of my favorite places in Atlanta. The garden sculptures keep getting better and better. My trips to the Atlanta Botanical Garden over the years inspired my own edible yard.
Mike Clemmons
Beautiful place. Good for all ages and can be relaxing and or educational. Great spots for pictures and memories.
Shivam Ishanpara
An excellent place to go to get away from the city while still being in the city! The plants are beautiful, especially in the the rainforest and the rose garden.
I would say to plan out about 2.5-3 hrs if you want to see everything there is. Also, get a reservation online so you don't have to wait if it is busy and bring a mask.
They regularly have events so check their calendar online.
Joanne Montero
Amazing Botanical Garden 😁
It's worth getting a membership they always have new interesting things going on... I really enjoyed the edible garden and outdoor cooking class. …
Samantha Jones
So incredibly beautiful. Spent almost 3 hours walking around and embracing nature. Price is definitely worth all that you see. Wear good walking shoes, and bottles of water. Grab a map! You'll want to make sure you hit everything.
Bug spray too, and wearing a mask helped me not sneeze so much since pollen wasn't getting in my nose.
Restrooms are clean, and there is a convenient snack shack (they do take card) if you want something small instead of going to the restaurants.
Gift shop has some really cool things inside. Candles, seeds, notebooks, typical tourist items like magnets and Keychains.
If you love nature, you'll love it here.
Kimberly Springs
My mother enjoyed visiting the beautiful Gardens for her 75th birthday! The weather was amazing for this visit!
Jessica “Jay” Dibella
BEAUTIFUL 😍 The garden was easy to locate. Afford parking. I like the appointment feature they have online to maintain social distancing. Signage is around the property and staff wear masks. Restroom were clean. Some features were close but there is so much to see it wasn't noticed. Flowers and plant are lush and vibrant. Best compliments to the staff and their passion for nature!❤🌻🌹🌷
Marcia Stewart
We visited the Botanical Gardens for the Origami exhibit and were in awe. It was all absolutely beautifu! An afternoon well spent. 😌 …
Jarrett Kirby
I realized upon arrival, that it was my first ever trip here. I had an absolutely amazing time - the views, brews, and live music were all stunning and I will definitely be coming back for the Christmas show 🙌🏼 …
Ben Berry
An absolutely incredible place. Had a few layover hours while in Atlanta so decided to check this place out. Was not disappointed! Took me a couple of hours to go through at a mild pace on my own. The combination of art and nature just really moved me. Would definitely go back & recommend this place.
Rebecca Morgan
Was a fun experience. I was expecting more based on their site but it was still a very good experience. Their gift shop isn't based around the garden but rather around Atlanta in general. Can get turned around. Wished I could have seen it at night.
J M
Heaven on earth! Such a privilege to be able to experience the splendors of nature, and the talents of countless people that help blend art and nature together into spectacular views.
Nikki Boone
Visited here yesterday with my daughter. We spent the day walking the park and looking at all attractions, plants and flower life. Very beautiful park and smells great with all the flower aromas. Gift shop was awesome as well. Really enjoyed my visit here. It was our first time. Highly recommend if you enjoy plants and flowers.
Cyndi Braski
Such a brilliant display. So elegant and tastefully done. The train was fantastic and look forward to visiting more often.
Cristian F Vargas Ramos
Great botanical garden with plenty variety and also good to bring kids since they have designated areas for them too
Monique Perry
Amazing paths of endless beautiful plants, flowers, trees and bushes that light up at dusks. Nice snack bar and even some love music in the park.
Will be back soon!
C M
This is an absolutely amazing place to visit! It is a family friendly stop whether living in Atlanta or traveling for vacation. The gardens are well-cared for and there is an interesting mix of fascinating origami art scattered about the 30 acres. I spent hours viewing and photographing a wide variety of plants and enjoyed the canopy walk and trails. Some of the indoor exhibits should not be missed. Be sure to see the orchids and tropical rain forest.
Tawanda Brown
I really enjoyed the Gardens. There is something for everyone all season. I went doing the their theme of Supernatural-artistic ariel displays. Beautiful arts of work, beautiful plants and flowers and this was doing July! There are play areas for young ones and a water splash area they can play in. Best of all I was able to see plants and flowers I had never seen before
Andy Simpson
Superb day, I'd recommend getting there as early as you can to avoid the crowds and temperature.
Suxant
Located right beside the Peidmont park is this beautiful and well maintained garden. About 25mins by walk from the Midtown Marta station. There are no any proper directions or appropriate sign boards to reach the entrance to the garden. They should work on this. Even google maps could mislead you at times. There is an entry free for about 23 USD here and is subject to change depending on the mm month . The place is perfect for a mini get away. Suggest to pick the garden map which is available for free near the garden ticket centre in order to cover all the attractions. The lighting at night was mind-blowing. The Atlanta skyline view was picture perfect. There are plenty of special events taking place here. Would recommend.
Diedre Gilmer
So beautiful and serene. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Richard Griffiths
Lovely visit in the late summer. Orchid house still had plenty of spectacular offerings. The kinetic art sculpture was fun to see.
Already beginning to decorate for the holidays.
Jhaya and Jafari West
Went here on my birthday it was beautiful.
Beautiful plants and loved the statue of the lady covered in flowers ., 🌷💐🌹🌸💮🌼 …
Christianson Goodley
This was a wonderfully delightful experience to see the Christmas decorations and lighting show. The gardens different areas of beautiful flower arrangements is really something special to see.
alicia labrosse
Beautiful even in the winter. Went here for a work offsite meeting. Can't wait to see everything in the spring and summer!
Jacqueline Lovorn
Perfect visit for first dates. Wonderful for families. If you have small children take them directly to the children play area. Or have someone with them at the playground while adults visit it. It is a very big place and I noticed that 6 and younger would start complaining within the hour. Perhaps take snake for them or make reservations to eat at their restaurant or have pic nics.. make the experience a full day. This place is magical!
Rahsaan Heard
I wanted to have this experience years ago but the timing was always an issue. It was truly worth the wait. From the model trains to the poinsettia Christmas tree, it was the perfect winter wonderland. The best part was the string lights that performed to the music. I'll admit I was concerned that there wasn't going to be that many lights because it was a walkthru rather than drive thru. I barely got many pictures because I was in awe. That says a lot considering the times.
Meghan Zets
Absolutely gorgeous. A must see if you're in Atlanta! My favorite was the field of carnivorous plants 😍 …
Hana cookery
I think the ticket price is a little high for this place. I’ve definitely been to better gardens with cheaper tickets.
Nicole
I've been to a few botanical gardens this one was amazing. The only better one I have seen was in Arizona. Great exhibits. Love the live music during sips in the garden and love the comfy chairs in the AC at the exit
Christian Ardito
In my opinion, the best attraction in Atlanta and one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in the world. If you don't have time to see anything else, visit the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Phenomenal.
Carolyn DeWitt
What a great way to spend a day! There is so much to do! The kids had so much fun walking through the gardens, playing at the splash pad, at the playground and rope bridge. I don’t know that we even saw it all!!
Nicole Chilcott
Beautiful experience with friends. We had a great time walking through the gardens, enjoying the live music and drinks! Definitely recommend going just before evening; there is something magical experiencing sunset in there :)
Eva Rabadan
Amazing holiday lights how. The music was good. Everything was very pretty. They had good seating options.
Maurice Zadeh
Beautiful garden! Incredible variety of flowers! Nice architecture! Edible garden, Orchid exhibit, Japanese section all magnificent! Many evergreen trees! Yearly admission will save you a great deal!
S C
Beautiful place. It’s great to take the entire family or going for a date.
Update - Went to the Christmas light show and it was amazing. There were lots of beautiful decorations and sculptures as well as an amazing light show with music. It’s a wonderful to visit with the family.
Alicia Young
Loved it! Very big but also handicap accessible. There was a lot of interactive stuff for my youngest to do which he enjoyed. There was so much to see we didn't get to see it all but we plan to go back with the kids in the fall when the weather is a little cooler.
Nicole Halstead
Beautiful holiday lights experience! Family friendly, drinks and snacks available. Super famiky friendly (and stroller friendly)
Robert Rec
Great place to come with friends and family!! I'd recommend wearing short clothes though it gets really hot😅 …
James Wernicke Sr.
Great place to relax and enjoy. Get an annual membership which can be used throughout the country.
Aditya Chakrabarty
Lovely garden, multiple different kinds of trees, they have aerial art on display right now and it looks exquisite… you can also buy a drink and walk around the park while sipping your drink. A fancy edible plants garden next to a place where you can taste the local harvest is an added bonus.. would recommend
Jeremy Nusser
One of the bigger and more diverse botanical gardens in the US. Definitely a must see for aroid and orchid lovers!
Jess G
We were excited because of the pictures we had seen and it definitely lived up to the hype! The tickets were only 25$ and we were walking around for 3 hours so much to see ! Parking was extra we paid 8 $ it was based on time.
The grounds are so we'll kept and the glass art they had was amazing. There was a children's play ground with a splash pad as well. We listened to live music wile having a glass of wine with all the beautiful flowers and then we ate at the restaurant and it was delicious! There were plenty of little places to stop and grab a drink or a snack along the way. The only down side was a lot of single use plastic and no where to recycle cans and bottles.
Nicole M
I went to the Christmas lights from 5 to 10pm. I enjoyed it, but pricey for one ticket. Plenty of lights and music and one area will memorize you for a little while. Worth at least a one time to visit.
Kalpesh Malpani
Amazing place to visit when in Atlanta. We visited the botanical garden for the Christmas lights. Our favorites exhibits were tunnel of light, nature’s wonder, and glowing grove.
The garden was busy and highly recommended to make reservations during the peak nights, earlier one can go, more time they get to spend. We spent about 2 hrs and could walk throughout the garden.
Highly recommended Garden lights spot during the holiday season!!!
Alex Daniels
It was my first time visiting. The indoor gardens were amazing.
Given it is December and we just had that cold front, I can understand how the outdoors left something to be desired. I definitely plan on coming back in spring to see the outdoor gardens.
I don't love the layout outside. We were given a map, but there wasn't really a natural flow to the layout.
Many times we had to back track to get to things we hadn't seen. I wish the layout flowed more naturally or was marked in an easy to understand way for self tours.
David Szmyd
FANTASTIC!!! It has a vast assortment of flowers and plants that are really eye-popping. It's very walkable and well organized. The orchid collection is truly amazing.
SYED ALI
Beautiful place to visit everything was nice and organize. Very easy to walk and very clean.
Derrick Davis: Big Boy Style
First time going here and it was an amazing experience. Great day date idea.
Brian Clark
Awesome way to view and learn about thousands of plants and always amazing garden attractions as well. We just saw the Queen of Hearts exhibit there. They have a big parking garage on site and also they are located directly next to Piedmont Park. It is lit up at night with cool exhibits sometimes..
Skip the line. Make a reservation online and walk directly to the person scanning tickets inside the entrance with your phone showing ticket barcodes on email.
It is so big it is easy to miss some really cool exhibits even outside so get the free map and don’t miss anything.
Hannah S
Went to see all the lights for the holidays, I highly recommend it! It was breathtaking! I'll be turning this into a family tradition!
S Sam
Absolutely gorgeous! We purchased our tickets online, so walked right in. A feast for our eyes awaited us. Can’t wait for the new water feature to be completed.
Richard Brown
Absolute work of art.
We visited during the superNatural event where there were large glass sculptures of flowers that were really pretty. Additionally they had a canopy walk which followed a high level view of beneath a colored canopy that was really beautiful in contrast to the trees.
Loved the Mother Nature inspired sculpt of flowers and fountains. Was definitely my favorite piece!
There’s an amazing water play area for the kids where water fountains spray up from the ground and misters spray from above. I recommend bringing a second set of clothes as it’s so hot and getting a little wet is refreshing on the muggy Georgia days.
Everything was clean, including restrooms.
Due to Covid they are requiring timed entry from tickets purchased online.
Really a lot to see here. You’ll take several hours going through it all, especially if you don’t want to miss anything.
More being built. Would’ve loved to see it all in its glory but perhaps it’ll bring me back.
Of least interest was the restaurant. Expensive and didn’t look like a terribly interesting menu.
Roman Smikh
Great way to spend your passes time if your near by. Only downside is, it’s too big and too much to see to make it through in a few hours. Spent about 4-5 hours there and made about half way. This is definitely a place you make into an all day trip. Got food, live music, amazing scenery. And if you get caught in the rain you’re soaked like we’re by the time you find your way back out. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Queen Boss (Tee)
Always a great experience every time I go. A beautiful array of flowers, plants and edible plants. Nice piano and bass players playing calming jazz music. A great place to relax and a beautiful skyline of Atlanta.
Reed England
The gardens are positively beautiful. The kids area is delightful with all kinds of wonderful art and flower arrangements. The bathrooms even have sunscreen dispensers in case you forgot!
The gardens are well shaded so even on bright days you can stay cool. The orchic conservatory is stunning and the highlight of my visit. Parking is also convenient and well priced.
Narrow Road TB
This place was so amazing. I would love to come back and view more. My feet was tired!! So much to see.
Sarita Lee
The garden is simply magical and it's a beautiful place to visit year round!
Marcos
I have read lots of reviews about its beauty, but only when I saw it with my own two eyes did I realized that they don't do it justice.
Grant Patterson
I've been to many botanical gardens but this one is unquestionably the best. It's well taken care of, has a lot of diversity and frequently has exhibits to bring visitors something new!
Sheila M
Beautiful displays of lights throughout the gardens. A must see, I highly recommend it!
Wisteria Buffington
Absolutely beautiful place and had a wonderful time 💙 splash park was awesome to. …
David Castro
This is great place to go to see the greenery, of course. But it's also a great place to go to read. It's a good place to go with someone you just want to talk at length with (that's what my son and I do). Even the takeaway food counter has good options at not-ridiculous prices. I highly recommend the Asian salad. Bonus of you can go during the holiday lights event in December.
Doshi Darshan
Such a great place to visit with family..
One must not skip this during a visit to Atlanta
Senem Ekiz
Very much left to natural habitat for the large portion of it so it’s not your typical botanical garden with tons of beautiful flowers every where. I had a hard time justifying its price to be honest, but over all it was beautiful
yumna khan
This was ABSOLUTELY a magical magical experience. There were lights everywhere and the light show was amazing! They had divided the whole area in sections so you could walk around and see different things like trees or butterflies or the flowers and many more.
There were songs and hot chocolate almost at regular intervals so it really added to the whole experience. Loved going there one cold night!
Tyler Sacre
It was decent walking through but without an event, nothing amazing. I wouldn’t spend the entry fee unless there was a fun event or holiday.
Gayathri Devaraj
Must visits in Atlanta! I loved all the plants ! Especially the house plants and roses
Will Huhn
Visited for the first time and became members on the spot! This is a great garden and while it’s a bit small, it is packed with displays and plants to fill up a couple hours of your day
Matt Keefe
A well-kept and picturesque park. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.
D D
Wonderful garden well designed frequent programs and exhibits. Handicapped accessible mostly concrete walkways. Top quality restaurant. Beautiful!
Shivam Semwal
the light-show was amazing… really special spot to go with family during the holidays!
Jonathan Stewart
Outstanding place to visit. My only complaint is that I didn't have enough time!
Gary Holt
When you are walking through the many beautiful pathways, you can't help but feel relaxed, comforted, just a pleasant overall feeling of peacefulness. Come here and forget your troubles for a while.
Deeviously Dee
Such a beautiful walking area! Amazing pictures even in the fall when flowers aren't in bloom. I'll be back soon!
Bianca Garcia
The gardens are stunning in the wintertime with their Holiday Lights events! I highly recommend attending!
Jesus Jimenez
Wonderful place to enjoy the biodiversity, a lot of different gardens and climates, from tropical to desert.
Atl Peach
I absolutely loved it!! It was my first time going. I loved the Children's Garden and the Orchid Building with the Tropical Rotunda was beautiful! Can't wait to go again to see more!
Kassie C
Friendly staff, great dining options, taking covid precautions and just overall absolutely breathtaking! Glass sculptures among the various plants add to the beauty. Very educational. Lots of benches for those who need to take breaks from walking. So much to see!
Melissa Baker
Beautiful place to spend time. Peaceful. Tranquil. Would love to check it out at night!
Jess G
I loveeeee this place! I will come back each time I can. 🌱 🌳 🌺 The topiary exhibit is phenomenal and there is just so much flora to take in. Extremely accessible for non-ambulatory folk, as a note. Mobile scooters available for a reasonable fee …
Raj Kumar
It’s a very relaxing place, you can spend couple hours walking around and relaxing.
Victor Levain
Stunning gardens, full of variety from a whole greenhouse dedicated to orchids to a Japanese garden. It does get a bit busy during the day on weekends, at moments turning into a “selfie” palooza that distracts from the moment, so try to go during the week when there are less crowds!
Bryan O'Neal
Atlanta Botanical gardens is a nice place to explore during the day in any season.
T T
BEAUTIFUL!! I really want to come back here again and again. The layout was great it helped you never miss a thing. So many exotic plants. We very much enjoyed this wonderful place right in midtown. A must see on any visit to Atlanta.
Sarah Lindsey
I waited years to experience a Christmas light show and this ended up being the 1st choice it was beautiful the lady was my favorite part a bit confusing as far as the walking directions but they had bars, different hot types of drinks, place to make smores, places to eat,and also gift shops I enjoyed it will probably be back again I hear it's different sections..
Tiffany Harrison
I love it here! It's the best one I've ever been to. I'm from NYC and I love NY but Atlanta me please!!! I came to visit when they also had the Alice in wonderland exhibit and that was also amazing. The vibe this time was Japanese garden and glass flowers and I was truly amazed by it all.
It's the perfect place for a first date. You walk and talk and enjoy the sights. Get a drink, enjoy.
Seriously, I love it here!!!
Aminah Williams
Very peaceful and beautiful place. I wish I had visited when they had the Alice and wonderland exhibit. But they did have a glass art exhibit that was gorgeous.
mizzkay Sly
It was a wonderful experience until night fall, I am not sure how often it happened but there was an issue with the lights and we had to leave a little earlier than expected.
gammeelovemusic
It’s probably too late in October that the hair of earth goddess is all dark dark green. But still some enjoyable view of orchid garden, animal statue, and Halloween decorations!
Tracie Powell
Beautiful place to get inspired or for date night! Free live jazz and cocktails made the evening more special.
David Stevenson
The sculptured goddess was an artful display of a plethora of colorful flowers; it was absolutely breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. If you enjoy flowers, plants (some carnivorous) and a variety of trees, you will have found your niche at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
Franco Rosetti
Nice garden, lots of trails that help you visit the park. Flowers are amazing and being able to have a cocktail o a drink inside is absolutely nice. Only thing I didn't like is that you can only buy a ticket online but they charge you $5 extra to do so.
New Life US
Beautiful place! You live in Atlanta and don’t have a year round pass… - you’re missing out! Great place just to come and relax
Tam And
This was an amazing experience! We walked the whole trail and it was breath taking!
Patricia Livingston
I went to the holiday lights event and it was amazing! My first time there!
Michelle Banks
Wonderful new Christmas tradition
Lights are amazing. If visiting on weekends buy tickets ahead of time.
Trini Gyal
Honestly, it was only okay on our visit in April so going in spring is iffy. Many of the plants were welting along the trails and the flowers we did see were very pretty, but concentrated in one area. I was expecting a lot more bountifulness and extravagant displays. I guess April was off season. For $60 we will probably return during an event or special occasion in the summer. They had cute gardening items for purchase in the gift shop, expensive but gets listed as a charity transaction since the garden is nonprofit.
Roz
Incredible botanical garden. The gardens range from impressive orchid houses to more natural tree walks on suspended bridges. The gardens boast many sculptures (both permanent and by visiting artists) and little blurbs of points of interest. I highly recommend a visit, the gardens are a gem of Atlanta
Imran Lakhani
A nice place to visit In holiday season and also during spring time.
OrenjiOrange
Beautiful place. I really hope to be able to come again and enjoy the scenery. The children's gardens was set up perfectly for a little ones. Our little one did not want to leave the park.
Sean Hughes
Such a great experience visiting the holiday lights exhibit, definitely recommend!
tandra blakeney
This place is beautiful. Make sure you have comfy shoes for the amount of walking
Mihai Petre
It looked like a beautiful place. It's early November so not a lot happening. I was surprised to still see so many things still green. It looked like they were getting ready for some light show during the night. It looked promising. I wish it was closer to me. It's worth your time if you like nature. I'll have to try to hit this place in early spring when everything should be blooming. The only down size, like the rest of Atlanta, parking. Why? The ticket prices are kind of high and that parking space is so expensive. Nothing fancy about it. Not even guarded! At least it was the lowest one that I had to pay in Atlanta! It took me about 2.5h leasure to walk the garden. Again it's Nov and most of staff turning to hibernation. Spring might take you longer!
Ebony Lawton
It was a wonderful experience, especially during the light show. I’d definitely make my way back there.
Laura Lewis
Absolutely beautiful! A nice experience for walking in nature and de-stressing.
JO Milot
It really is a nice but the website doesn't show only current items it features ALL, which I find deceitful. My sole interest was the dragon which is no longer on display, that was disappointing
Brandi Taylor
Alot of plants were not in season this time of year but it was still a lovely garden. We enjoyed mostly the indoor plants...the orchids, desert plants, cacao tree and what not. They have a restaurant for you to enjoy. Snacks.. some interesting statues, an edible garden...just plenty to look see and do. We only had an hour and a half of time before they closed. Which was fine because we were tired from the day but we could have definitely enjoyed ourselves more had we shown up earlier and had more time to see everything. We missed plenty but it was still so beautiful.
Kya Cooper The Soundtrack Of My Life Blog
Wear comfortable shoes, weather appropriate clothing and you'll love this experience. It was so much to see. I especially love the Earth Goddess and the Conservatorium.
Jamie Coakley
Beautiful - would love to come back during other parts of the year to see the rest of the flowers bloom and the developing orchid display. Loved the carnivorous plants display. Staff was helpful and friendly. So much to see, plan to spend a good chunk of time here!
Cindy Soto
So beautiful! Wish I could have stayed longer. There’s plenty of places with shade so you’re not walking in the sun for too long. I’m a fan of their orchid exhibit.
Jewel Finley
This place was absolutely beautiful. The gift shop is amazing but pricey. If you have time make sure you come visit bc theres so much to do. Theres a kids splash pad and playground. Tons of beautiful blown glass to find. My absolute favorite thing was the plantatorium with the different kinds of plants. Tons of seating, snack bars, drink stops, free water fill ups all around the park and a ritzy restaurant on site. You surprisingly get to see tons of wildlife like rabbits and of course squirrels to fish and exotic frogs.
Rima S
It is ok. It is a nice place to go for a walk and worth the membership if you live close by. But it is not my favourite place to go. It is a bit overcrowded. Not many flowers. Very basic displays. .
John Marsh Class Piano II
Always a treat to visit The Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Last time it was to see the Alice in Wonderland exhibit - gorgeous! This time, it was the origami exhibit which was very well done. Highly recommended.
Wesley Griffin
Good stuff, great time! Holiday lights were awesome.
Kieran Moloney
My mind was spinning a excellent experience the Origami in the Garden Exhibition was on
James Kempski Your Triangle REALTOR 919-308-7597
In Atlanta on business and needed a place to get stress free. The hotel manager suggested this place. Paid for the tickets to get in, had to wait until my appointment , (why?? I do not know). When I went they were having a glass flower exhibit. This place was what I needed to unwind and just relax in the gardens. I took so many pictures, (see my profile to see them). Any ways worth the trip and price.
Maya Ervin
This place is gorgeous 😍 I loved it here! Will definitely be back. …
Michelle Jones
The Atlanta Botanical Gardens is one of the best in the nation. This is a must visit if youre in the Atlanta area. The variety of permanent gardens is extensive and they have rotating exhibits also. It is always a pleasure to visit the gardens and to get back to nature.
Jessie Formicola
Really nice garden. It's very well maintained and lots and lots of different flowers and plants to look at. We stayed pretty busy. We were there for almost 2 hours and still didn't see quite everything. I definitely recommend checking it out!
Franshetta Carr
Beautiful and well kept. I realized that a scene from nappily ever after was shot there.
Cory Anders
This place is great. Lots and lots of walking because there is just so much to see. The orchard exhibit was fantastic. The rose garden was beautiful and smelled wonderful.
They also offer a military discount.
Vicki Coulter
Totally lush! That surprised me this time of year! Always gorgeous; great walking paths with plenty to view and opportunities to sit if desired. Stopped at both the snack shop and restaurant and loved them both. So many butterflies!
Amber Burton
I love this place.. it was like a plant heaven. I can’t wait to come back.
Victor Hernandez
As far as botanical gardens, this one is fantastic! It's much larger than I expected and i was not disappointed with the garden lights event, in fact it was much better than expected. Great place to visit but a little price. However, i went with the membership option as it Ade more sense financially to pay a little more to enjoy multiple visits in ATL and also in Athens. That's not even taking in considering it's reciprocity with other gardens.
Elizabeth Byrd
What a wonderful filling of the senses. Smiled over and over. A condensed forest and greenhouse garden and sculpture. A photographers dream. Did not expect so much! And the origami exhibit was a special bonus. I want to take others to these magical gardens!
Richard Cotton
An amazing experience. I would prefer early morning or evening visits in the summer. Give yourself at least two to three hours to leisurely walk around.
Minori H.
One of my favorite places in the city. Completely worth the membership if you live near enough to go there on a regular basis. Got a dual membership with my sweetie and we use it all the time.
Once I went there with my friend Catherine and she is friends with a brilliant, sweet herpetologist who showed us some endangered frogs. During another visit I ran into her and she was releasing a gecko in the conservatory.
Also if you join you get access to fantastic plant sales.
There is ample evidence, personal, multicultural, spiritual, scientific and otherwise showing our interconnectedness and what better way to celebrate, appreciate and commune. I live in the city and I prefer to avoid cars so it's a dream to have access to such a wonderland of botanical delights.
Global warming is real and I wonder how much longer we have to appreciate this abundant planet but I am thankful to get to spend time there and have always enjoy admiring all of the plants, pollinators, and reptiles.
I love the high elevation area because it allows me to see so many novel species. The desert area of the Fuqua conservatory is also great because it feels so good to be in a dry climate after breathing such thick air most of the time. I love it all! Thank you, to all of the workers for maintaining such a beautiful place.
Robert W
A beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. A must visit for visitors and locals alike.
Autumn Sabath
This place is AMAZING! One of THE best Botanical Gardens I've ever been to. This place is HUGE!! We spent about 2 1/2 hours here so you definitely get your money's worth! They have some restaurants in the gardens and a snack bar with snacks and beverages. They also have some indoor greenhouses where you can see various, if you are a indoor plant nerd like me the greenhouse is a MUST SEE! You do have to pay for parking. We spent about $6 for about 3 hours.
Joanie Franken
A+ What a fantastic garden, one portion is more of a magical forest, with different levels to view, streams, waterfalls, fountains with sculptures. An engineering wonder. Never been there before, spent 4.5 hours, so worth it! A mini concert to relax and watch, sipping a cocktail. Then a fabulous dinner at Longleaf, great service and dinner. So glad we spent the afternoon and evening there, visiting from Chicago. Parking is very reasonable.
