Ordered thru Amazon 5 bags of jalapeño flavor…they shipped 5 bags of green chili flavor which I do not care for. Unfortunately I live in the country of Panama and shipping back would be VERY EXPENSIVE. So not only did I have to pay extra to ship here…I’m stuck with an order I don’t want. Bummer as I loved the jalapeño. Since this post , Vigils has contacted me promptly and resent the correct order . I could not ask for better service! Kudos

The only downside to this hidden gem is the fact that the U-haul signs throw you off a bit. Other than that the customer service is great, the prices are great! If you like thin jerky, Vigil's is the spot to go to! Plan on making another trip to Vigil's Beef Jerky soon! P.S... small tip, try perfecting a "Lime - Salt" jerky flavor, and keep the fat on it! 😍 other than that great flavors of jerky! 😍

Holy Heck this stuff is good! Paper thing beef jerky with just the right amount of flavor. Nice and crisp, just the way New Mexican Jerky should be. Priced at $20 per half pound, which seems to be the going rate for good jerky. Green Chile Jerky is super tasty, but super mild. Would make the perfect gift for those.put of town friends who are sensitive to heat. Open 7 days a week! Take a nice little drive and grab yourself a healthy, tasty snack. And oh yeah... SUPPORT LOCAL!

I honestly enjoyed the beef jerky. I had been looking for this type of jerky for quite some time and happened upon this brand. I purchased the green chile and red chile flavors, and will say they are fantastic. :0) Had a chance to speak with them personally and they were professional and aim to keep their customers happy, which is a lost art nowadays. I will be ordering again.

This first time I ordered it was amazing. I'm from Albuquerque but moved to TN 10 years ago and this was a little slice of home but I ordered again a few weeks ago and I'm not sure if I just didn't get a good batch or what but there was no flavor. The only one with flavor was the lemon pepper. I was looking forward to that Green chile so bad but ehh things happen it won't stop me from ordering again when I get another craving. As my grandmother always said beggers can't be choosy lol so can't wait to order another batch

Delightful ladies at the counter. The jerky is awesome. Today was 40% off my favorite flavor-teriyaki. Also, they often have ground beef and elk. Both grass fed; the beef is 90/10. I go every few weeks.

They carry 90/10 ground beef at $1.99lb. That's the best price I've seen in town. They sell their wonderful jerky in lots of great flavors, but the best is they sell expired jerky at a fraction of the cost. This place is great.

I just got back home to Washington State after a 2 1/2 month road trip. While in Albuquerque I stopped at Costco for a resupply. Beef Jerky was on my list. A nice lady was giving out samples. I tried the red chile and lemon pepper recipes. At first I was a little surprised by how dry it was. But after savoring it for 30 seconds, the flavor hit me like a stampede! I used it in many camp recipes to add beef and spice to beans and rice. Really easy to just crush it; as you would many other spices. One evening while enjoying a beer and gazing at the stars, I slipped a piece of the lemon pepper jerky in my mouth and followed it up with some chili flavored pistachios. The flavor combo was INCREDIBLE! That deliciousness haunted me the rest of my road trip. After unloading the truck, the very next thing was to order a bunch online. I can't wait to try it in a spice grinder and add it to various dishes or, indulge myself with a whole strip by itself.

BEST BEEF JERKY EVER!!! Passing through New Mexico and found this brand of beef jerky at a gas station. Decided to give it a shot because I have had varieties of processed and homemade beef jerky before. Me and my boyfriend fell in love with this brand after one bite! It is perfectly made and taste even more so! Definitely will be saving up to make the drive from Florida again to stock up on this beef jerky. If you run across it, DO NOT PASS IT UP. You will not be disappointed!

Amazing jerky! Absolutely love the Green and Red chili varieties. Couldn't decide which I liked better, thankfully they make the Christmas flavor that has both! I'm a huge fan of the Carne Seca but living in Utah is not commonly sold in this area. I order from Vigil's regularly and highly recommend their product.

Was approached by an employee of Vigil's doing a jerky demo at Sam's Club, very friendly and helpful telling me about the special they are having at their store. We drove over and met again with another friendly and helpful employee. The meat looks amazing! We'll be going back!!

Jerky is an acquired taste, like wine, beer and particular foods prepared a certain way. I was on the road in NM and when I first tried the butter mesquite carne seca, I was surprised at the texture...thin and yes, dry (seca). Fact is, for my tastes, this a great jerky. I like other brands, too...even what might be considered more traditional (chewy) styles. This is a new experience in jerky, it softens up in the mouth just fine given a little time, and those critics comparing it to sawdust, too dry, etc are entitled to their opinion...fine, go eat the rubbery, waterlogged brands. I just ordered 2 lbs of the same...carne seca.

the BEST!!!!! True gourmet beef jerky cannot even compare to awful jerky they sell in grocery stores. our favorite is Butter Mesquite ,jalapeño ,green chili and salt !!! Will live in Florida and we have to order the shipment every other month that's how much will love it!!! wish we had a store here!!!!

Excellent beef jerky, especially the red chile variety. Thin and crispy like chips. You may not like it if you like softer chewier jerky but this has a lot of flavor and is different.

Good stuff, old fashion dry. Not always made the same, like The thin crisp easy to chew slices, my gas station now Has thicker pieces with different texture Which i dont buy anymore. Never shop directly before, would love to If i ever get a chance. Pepper, normal i like.

This product is the best!!! People who complain about how dry or paper thin it is- don't understand that this isn't regular beef jerky. It CARNE SECA and its suppose to be that way. I will say that this product is hands down the best carne seca beef jerky I have tasted. I drive two hours just to pick some up!
