My morning started with a visit to Wilmington Family Eye Care. It was a great visit that started with Gabby, at the front desk. Dr. Quan is excellent. She gave me a detailed and clear explanation of my eye exam. Tammy is very professional when helping you to select your eye wear. They have a variety of frames. Brenda checked me out quickly. Not only an excellent staff, but a very clean and welcoming establishment. Highly recommended. I shall return. ~Satisfied Patient

We didnt "choose" this eye care practice. When our previous eye doctor retired our files were transferred here. WE ARE SO GLAD! The staff and doctors are friendly, thorough and respectful. This was a1st time visit for me at Wilmington Family Eye Care, Dr. Baruffi. I as a retired registered nurse living with Retinitis Pigmentosa since childhood was quite impressed with the facility. I have been treated at such visual facilities as John's Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Hoover Eye Services at GBMC in Baltimore. I have some background to compare my visit. I was impressed by the setup in the office, the equipment the equipment and the staff who were Friendly and very helpful. Most of all I was impressed by Dr. Baruffi. Of all the many doctors I have seen over the years he was the 1st one who has a personal history with Retinitis Pigmentosa . He was very knowledgeable and Personable. I was there for an assessment of my current visual difficulties and the Visit exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend Wilmington Family Eye Care for anyone who is dealing with low vision but especially for anyone who is dealing with RP. I was very happy and hopeful after my visit and so were my family and friends who I told about the Visit. Dr. Baruffi and staff thank you very much.

Dr. Quan was awesome and explained everything to me. The front office and a policy about a test because of a medical condition that insurance doesn’t cover was told to me that if I wanted to get an examined I had to also get the test that’s not covered. It should be mentioned up front and already added as part of the normal examination.

I have been a patient for many years and have always found everyone very professional, caring & efficient for all my routine eye exams. Recently I had an eye injury & everyone went above & beyond in caring for me. The injury happened in the evening but they provide 24 hour coverage and after leaving a message Dr. Baruffi contacted me in a few minutes. He quickly evaluated my situation & provided a plan for immediate care & follow up needs. He gave me clear instructions on how to monitor my condition and checked back shortly to confirm that symptoms had not changed. I was seen in the office the following morning for a thorough exam with Dr. Jones. They contacted a specialist & I was able to go directly to that office & get the needed follow up treatment - all before lunchtime & less than 24 hours after injury. This only just happened so I am still under treatment but a full recovery is expected. Everyone at the office provided great caring support & I highly recommend this team.

Dr. Darrell is wonderful. She took her time and answered all of my questions. She used the latest computer technology for my annual eye exam. I looked at the large selection of attractive eyewear for sale while my eyes were dilating. The staff member was very helpful and nice. Every sample is cleaned after use with UV treatment. I was done my appointment within 40 minutes. An exceptional experience all around.

In my case, I am a difficult patient to measure eye pressures and they found alternative ways to effectively and accurately achieve the desired results. When I tried to tell him one he already heard it. The practice has always been professional and continues to be that way. My children have also been to the practice. I think that says a lot. It’s does have a smaller selection of eyeglasses but....I think that’s a great thing as to making a decision instead of trying to choose from hundreds of frames! As usual, my latest visit with Dr. Goldberg was excellent. Dr. G has been my eye doctor for over 15 years. My husband desprately needed glasses but we were having such a hard time finding anywhere that takes his insurance. When I called here over a month ago, I was told they were working on accepting his insurance soon and offered to call me when they did. As soon as they starting accepting his insurance we promptly got a call letting us know so we could schedule an appointment. This is my third visit to the practice and my first appointment with Dr. Baruffi. I had a scheduling issue and he was available. I was greeted immediately, asked to confirm my account information and taken back to be "measured". Then I was taken back to the waiting room for about 5 minutes. Dr. Baruffi had taken the time to read my chart and followed up on a problem I'd mentioned last year. It had been resolved with a new script the year before. It was important at the time and I appreciated the follow up. While my eyes were dilated I perused the frames and the Tech offered to adjust the glasses I was wearing. Not necessary but helpful. There's nothing and I mean nothing like getting great service, advice and product recommendation from a team of professionals. Especially when they are local and right in your backyard. Having been a loooooong time client of Dr. Goldberg, my eyes have always been in good hands. But as we age, they do require good shade to stay comfortable. So, being in the market (and willing to invest in) a good quality pair of sunglasses, it was Dr. Dan Baruffi, who recommended me to their in house selection of Costa brand lenses and frames. I had mentioned to Dan that at one time I had a pair of Maui Jims and told him how comfortable they were. He came back to assure me that the Costa's weren't just good, they were better than the Maui's in every way. In fact, Dan mentioned that majority of people who live and play on the waters are Costa wearers. I personally didn't even know the brand existed, but as Dan suggested, I went online and read about the technology underneath of the product line. Afterwards, I told myself that these are the ones. Wow! UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE! AMAZING! The lenses perform so much better than expected and the frames are light but tight. No slipping whatsoever. With 100% UV coverage and a design that offers a wide area of protection, my aging eyes are feeling really good under the sun. I'll share a picture of me wearing the Costa's at a recent trip to the beach. In fact, that's where and when I texted Dr. Dan to let him know how much I appreciated his recommendations for the Costa's. Like I said, when you work with professionals who "know a thing or two about a thing or two.." you just can't beat it.
