Just picked up my new glasses today and I'm very pleased. My first visit was for the eye exam (free when you buy glasses from them). I made my appointment online as filled out required paperwork through an email request I received after scheduling my appointment. I recommend doing the req paperwork before you get there as it saves time. I was seen very quickly first by techs who run initial eye checks like the usual eye chart, then some tech scans. I paid 20$ for the Visual Field Test and the Retinal Image Screening. Typically I would say no but I'm not getting any younger, so I thought it wouldn't hurt. If you're someone like me who has not worn glasses before do some research and prepare any questions, they shuffle you in and out, if you dint ask questions it seems they will not offer up information.
I also purchased eyeglass cases because their free ones do not cut it. I would also recommend the Microfiber eyeglass wipe, they are great, but maybe stay away from the eyeglass chains if quality upon vision inspection is questionable, mine broke within an hour or so of wear. I through it the tag so I don't think I can take it back, attempting to fix myself.
That being said I would definitely go back, this is still the best option I know of for affordable quality eyeglasses.

I went to America's Best to get my glasses. I thought it was two pair for $79 but when I got there it wasn't because I didn't get my eyes examined there. I ordered my glasses a month ago and I'm still waiting for them to call me to say if they're ready every time I call or go there they say they're not back yet. How long does it take to get your glasses? Especially when you pay for them already. This is my second time going to America's Best. My first time was good. This time is awful so it will be my last. Long waiting. But that's to be expected at an eye Dr appointment. I also think booking too many customers within an hour may be an issue here. But Staff was professional, and were very busy as well.
Overall, I believe Dr Patterson was a great Dr who appeared knowledgeable, and proficient. My exam was pretty quick, and he answered all my questions. I would recommend with the understanding that I may be here for awhile.

I came in last week for a first time appointment. I didnt know what to expect but Dr. Ly was fantastic and the Optician Ashleigh was also. I felt like Ashleigh really helped finding a frame that fit my face along with explaining my options for my bifocals.She even showed me how to read my script and what each part of it means.

The doctor is wonderful and the description is Perfect. But I was having a bad experience with one of the staff. I went to pickup my glasses on Friday evening at 6:33. One of the staff standing by the front door told me to come back the next day, because they closed. Another lady was leaving her shift and she offered that she can help me for just pickup, but she got pushed out the door “ you already clocked out. Go home.” At 6:45 I saw someone else there and I checked with them and I was welcome to come in by them. Everyone has their jobs and I got off from work and ran in. The business hours 9:00am-7:00pm. Why the first person won’t let me in while they were still open and told me to come back again in a cold winter days????

It hurts my soul not to say the most positive things about this location. I've been coming here since I was a kid for glasses. Made the decision to get contacts for a big celebration and had a horrible experience with Jonathan. He was extremely pompous and condescending, to me and even other customers who asked very normal questions. For myself in particular, I would've been a first time contact wearer and his long explanations, lack of understanding for my medical needs, and inability to just discuss my apprehension felt beyond demeaning. I'm a boisterous, people-person and in that moment, I felt so small and insecure that I cancelled my follow up appointment the next day and complained to a manager about his behavior and treatment of me. I also recommended to family who I know have upcoming appointments to avoid working with him, even if it's just to check out.
Now on the opposite of that spectrum, the manager Nicole is such a sweet saint of a human who was able to compensate for my unique needs and I've truly never felt more calm in a doctor's office environment before. I wish I could take her to other non-eye related appointments! She rescheduled me with her, set up a private meeting and space for me, gave me ton of advice and offered future help should I ever have more questions. I could not have asked for a better experience, I just wish I started with her!
I'm still pretty frustrated about how overwhelmingly negative the first experience was and being out $89 for an appointment that came down to literally nothing. I didn't end up purchasing contacts or glasses there and my prescription for glasses didn't change. Wish there was a way to be refunded for it since a quick phone call could've given me my prescription on file for free. I know I'll still be back when I'm ready for a new script but then I'll know to be choosy with which front end optician to work with.

The doctor was thorough and I was very pleased with the exam. The purchasing of glasses for my new prescription was outrageous. $400 for one new pair (from the 2 pairs for $59.95 rack) and 2 sets of progressive lenses. The 2nd set was for my sunglasses frames and there was a fee for the brown coating. I couldn't afford to purchase my glasses here and went somewhere else where I was able to get all I wanted/needed for $249.99.

Went here a week ago for an eye exam and to order new contacts. Was nervous because of some of the reviews I read but I did not have any issues. I was in and out in one hour. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I went on a Wednesday. They had my contacts in stock so I did not have to wait for shipment like other stores. I am a fan of their membership too.

Fist time at this location and everyone was super friendly, professional, and very clean. From Ashley and Taylor but The young lady Diamond was super!! She helped me out with my fitting on my current glasses and was able to get me new nose pads and even tightened my old beat wobbly glasses!

Went there for the first time because my glasses broke and its been 3 years since I had an eye exam. I knew I was going to pay more walking into it because I needed the thinner lenses and the anti glare. The 2 for 69.95 deal is for people who doesnt have that bad eyesight. But it was quick and easy. I did pay 300 dollars for 2 pairs but anywhere else was charging me 250 for just 1 pair. So even though it was expensive it was still better than most places especially since I didnt have insurance. I found 2 pairs I liked but the only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because they didn't have a huge selection of the kind of frames I like for the less expensive ones. But the overall experiance was great.

The employees are always nice to me when I visit. It isn't difficult to schedule appointments at all. My eye doctor has been there for a while and she gets to know her patients well. I go here mainly for contacts and they have helped me so much in life. I like the diversity within the company and appreciate the staff. I always leave satisfied!

I took my two young children to America's Best Boothwyn location. All of the employee's were very helpful. The pricing was just right for my budget. The employee Tanya W. who spent hours helping me was outstanding. I made an error with my insurance coverage and had to return to the store to have my entire order of 4 pairs of glasses plus all of the services my children had received redone. Tanya took extremely great care of my order,my issues and was knowledgeable in all aspects of the business. She answered every question and concern that I had.

I've been coming here for 2 years. 2 of my children wanted contact lenses. I realized it was way cheaper to go to America's best than to use my insurance at Pearle vision. My son was in today to get fitted and practice putting in contacts. Amber was the one helping him. She was SUPER patient with him. It's already frustrating and tedious learning how to put them in. Without her patience he might have given up and just decided to wear glasses the rest of his life. Thank you, Amber!!!!

It was fine. The front desk staff and the person who did the pre-exam were very pleasant and seemed eager to help, but everyone else seemed preoccupied with other tasks. It felt like people only half-registered that I was there. The exam was rushed and I left without any idea of how good or bad my vision was. The salesperson pointed me to the frames and went back to work on something, then had little to say when we wrapped up the order. When I picked up, the gentleman gave me my glasses and said to ask him if I needed any adjustments, then turned to work on something else. It's not that anyone was rude, they just seemed too busy to bother giving any individual attention. This was my first time at an Amerca's Best, so probably this is just how they do things--discount prices, get people in and out, employees overloaded with work. This was my first-ever pair of glasses, so I wish I had gone to a place that would have taken more time with me, but I'd definitely use them again if I wasnt looking for much guidence or help.

I like this place. I'm always breaking or losing glasses so it doesn't make sense for me to spend a ton on glasses. If you prefer to spend, they have a nice selection, from inexpensive to name brand, designer frames. 2 pairs and an eye exam at a great rate!

My wife and I had Micah, He was awesome. Took the time with us and ran everything so we were aware of pricing. At the end I swiped my card to pay, as we spoke he reminded me that I could use my FSA credit card. He backed the transaction out and added the new one in. We were a real pain and he was awesome.

Sales people are rude but the schedulers and clinical staff are amazing! I would come again but I definitely will get glasses from another place. You can't beat $50 exams! Dr. Ball was very thorough and answered all my questions.

I don't know why folks are puzzled over their costs. Just read the receipt. Lmao
I did go for the 2 pairs for $69.95 with a free eye exam and I got that.
However I did pay extra $20 for the medical eye exam and even more for special coating on both lenses. Total came to about $400 but two pairs with transition and anti-glare on each for only $200 is a deal.
My old pairs were covered partially with insurance but I still had to pay $300 extra for anti-glare coating.
The $69.95 only goes towards glasses that aren't getting anything special added to them.
Will update this review as needed.

Boothwyn PA store was friendly, very helpful, pretty clean/well kept, AND had great options (fastest I've ever picked my choices and excited I got two pairs!). I was a walk-in with no appointment at 5:30pm and they were still kind enough to squeeze me in (and I drove a pretty fair distance to try this place mind you, so I was very pleasantly surprised and relieved!). Thank you guys so much for all your help, and the pleasant experience!

during this pandemic i found myself so lost on what to do when my glasses broke and i would need a new pair . i wish i remembered the name of the first lady who helped me but she was a gem! she found a solution and had a new pair sent to my home . of course shipment and things aren’t perfect and mistakes happen. when i called back Nina was so helpful and took notes and made me assured i’d have the problem fixed shortly . i woke up today with a call from Mike to verify my address one more time and to make sure i didn’t need anything else. The Tech that did my pre-test and the doctor were both so nice and helpful. The ladies up front (registration) and (especially) the one who called me over at the end were rude and dismissive. I couldn’t select frames today bc of needing to be referred to an ophthalmologist for an eye disorder before re-seeing the doc here can re-examine my eyes with hopes of an accurate Rx), but the lady at that stage (where I would be selecting frames) was constantly texting via her Apple Watch, and Plus she acted like I was a waste of her time bc she didn’t get to sell me frames then and there. Not the best treatment on the entry and exit. Again, the pre-test Tech and the Dr Patterson were great!
