I only take the time to fill out a review if my experience was really superb or traumatic. I've been to many eye doctors over the last 25 years, and Dr. Lamothe is the best I've encountered. For the last five years, I've been a patient of his and it has always been a five star experience. His office is always impeccably clean, his staff are ALL friendly and professional, and he takes time to explain what he sees in the exam so that I feel informed and reassured about my vision. The customer service doesn't end when your appointment is over. His office sends a reminder when its time to schedule your next appointment (but not at all in a pesky sort of way). They make it quick, easy, and painless, and that really helps me keep my eye checkups on track. Recently, I moved overseas, and Dr. Lamothe personally assisted in get my contacts prescription shipped to me. When my family and I are back in the DMV area, we will definitely be returning for our Optometry visits.

I recently got my eyes checked at Washington Eye Associates and had a very positive experience. Making an appointment was super easy and I was able to get one for the next week. The office is really hip and swanky, not what you expect at an optometrist! The folks here are very professional to and Dr Lamothe took me in right away. I got my vision tested and also a couple of other eye tests done too. I was able to walk out with a prescription in my hand fairly quickly! They do have a limited number of frames on display but I was not interested in them as I got my glasses made from elsewhere. I would highly recommend this place for an optometrist visit!

I went here after moving to the area and needing a new eye doctor. I found this place because it had some great reviews and decided to give it a try. This is by far the best experience I have had at an eye doctor before. Nick at the front desk was so friendly in checking me in, took a lot of time to help me pick out glasses frames, and took the time to explain to me line by line what my insurance covered and how to best utilize my benefits. Dr. Raja was so friendly and professional during my eye exam, she took the time to answer all of my questions and really took the time to give me a throughout exam that was also very time efficient. Overall this was a very pleasant experience and I will certainly be coming back here as long as I live in the area.

The best optometrist I've ever seen. Needed to renew my contact lens prescription. Took my existing contacts(which move around a lot in my eye) and the DR recommended a slightly different prescription and put me in a different brand. Love the new lenses. They fit really well and my eyesight is the best it has been in a very long time. Highly recommended!

Nice but inaccurate. They are super friendly, their office is in a great location downtown so they're very convenient to access, and their office is very clean and tasteful. Unfortunately, both a friend of mine and myself received glasses that were the wrong prescription from this place about 6 months apart from each other. The office is very quiet and pleasant. I was seen within a few minutes of checking in. The exam was thorough and did not feel rushed. Also and most important. I saw them 2 years ago but when I went back last year I found out that they did not take my insurance anymore. So during open season I changed my vision insurance to that I could continue to see them this year.

When I lived in Washington I had Dr Lamothe for a number of years and was always satisfied with both the front office staff as well as the doctor himself. Front office staff helped me save a little extra when I was transitioning employers and looked for good discounts. Dr Lamothe was always professional and speedy, but not rushed. He understands Washington's culture and people want to be in and out and get on with their day. I had contacts and need my annual green light for a re-order and he had me in and out easy peasy. I'm a fairly easy case but he was always kind and open to answering any questions I had about my eyes.

I LOVED your office. Everyone who assisted me from check-in to selecting my glasses was beyond friendly and helpful! Special thanks to the doctor for quickly recognizing that my previous lenses were not a good match for my eyes, that really put me at ease since they never felt like the right fit. UPDATE: Since writing this review Eye Associates contacted me and offered exceptional customer service by offering to repair my glasses. I have since moved away from Washington so I had to ship them in, but they replaced the lenses for free and shipped them back to me, even calling to confirm that I had received them. I originally reviewed them as 4 stars, but I now believe they deserve all 5. The lobby is very clean and nice, the people at the front are kind and the doctor was very detailed and took great care to ensure I felt comfortable and had all my questions answered. One reason I didn't give this all 5 stars was that when I picked up my glasses they had a scratch on one lens. I was in a super rush and didn't notice until the next day, so I felt I couldn't make the case that I hadn't done it myself (even though they remained in their case until I opened them the following day). I still see that scratch every time I put them on so I felt I couldn't give a 100%...but I would still go back for the eye services, no question
