Went to Leverett Eyecare to try on a frame that they had to order. The Optician was very professional and helpful. My only problem with the office is that you still need to wear a mask to go inside.

My husband went to see Dr. Leverett for his annual eye exam and told her that he had experienced blindness in his right eye for about 2 seconds. Dr. Leverett did her examination and found nothing wrong with his eyes/vision; however, she recommended that he see his primary care physician as soon as possible as she suspected he might have something else more serious going on like a blockage in his carotid artery. Upon her advice, my husband had an ultrasound and CT scan that showed 90 % blockage in the carotid artery. Thanks to Dr. Leverett he will have surgery to have a stent put in to avoid a stroke. Thank you, Dr. Leverett!

Fantastic customer service! I have four kids, two in college, and scheduling my children's eye care and making sure everyone has the right glasses or contacts before a sports season or before leaving for school is so stressful. My kids give me zero notice when they're running out of contacts, which leads me to call the office and beg for last-minute help when they suddenly have no lenses before a tournament weekend. The people in this office are wonderful and have saved me on more than one occasion, whether that be by supplying additional contacts or staying open a few minutes late so I can dash in and pick up an order, or by coordinating with my college kids to ship things directly to them. This busy mom is GRATEFUL for a provider whose office is so supportive and helpful. I sincerely appreciate how you go above and beyond to find solutions! Thank you.

I absolutely love Dr. Marcia Leverett! I initially went into the office in 2018 looking for somewhere to get my eye exam as I moved here from California. I moved back to California and still come to see her for my exams when I visit. She's great. The staff is also so friendly and helpful. The wait is never too long, there are many frames to pick from and don't worry about being indecisive they all help you out with your choice if you may need it! :) Overall I have had very pleasant experiences. My only regret is not finding her sooner!

Doctor Ashley is great. I had a problem with contacts from a previous eye doc, the specifics are boring but basically the left eye felt wrong, but she listened to my concerns and provided a prescription that works great for me. I'll be making the switch permanent.

Fantastic first impression. I was a bit of a sass at first (sorry ladies), but they were still so friendly and patient. They were thorough and clear with every question I had. I didn't feel rushed in the slightest and the exam was very thorough. My only complaint is the woman in the dispensary. I went to her to get my glasses checked and although she was very sweet, she wasn't too great with instruction. I sat there and stared, waiting for her to tell me what she needed me to do, and we ended up in an awkward staring contest. Overall great experience!

I have gone to Leverett eye care for over 4 years now and have always had a great experience. The woman who helped me this time, I believe her name was Carol was amazing to work with. She was great at giving very honest opinion about the glasses I couldn’t choose between and was wonderful with my toddler who tagged along. I’m sad to be loving away from such a wonderful and caring staff. The eye doctor this year realized why I had a hard time driving at night and even got me new special lenses to make it easier. Very grateful to this staff.

This is my first time having to go to an eye doctor for any of my children so it was a new experience for us. I'm glad i chose this office. My 11 year old daughter saw Dr. Ashley, she greeted us and made us feel very welcomed. She made my daughter feel very comfortable for the exam. She was super kind and sweet, very professional. My wife and I have be patients of Dr. Leverett for several years. We have always received courteous and professional service. Dr. Leverett's staff are thorough in doing the pre-tests on the eyes prior to our being seen by Dr. Leverett. All procedures are explained and performed in the most efficient and least discomfort to the patient. Dr. Leverett always explains any possible problems, changes, or recommendations in an easy to understand manner. Everyone there is friendly making each visit go by quickly.

As if the super fancy and delicious coffee machine wasn’t enough...Dr Leverett and her staff have been nothing but amazing and helpful. If you’ve ever had an exam, you know they put a puff of air in your eye...well, I HATE that part...I mean I really do!!! For years, I’ve been skipping it until I met dr. Leverett. She and her staff explained a different option in which she numbs my eye with drops instead and take a gentle look. What a relief!!! So happy with my experience. I love this place! What a homey feel with their modern couches and living room type vibe. They even thought of the kids, creating a small section to keep them quiet while they play. But my favorite feature is the coffee bar, equipped with sink and touch screen coffee maker, who can resist hanging out here while the kids are with the doctor? It’s actually not stressful when this visit comes up each year, I almost look forward to it. And that’s just the space, the staff are friendly and inviting. More importantly they remember us, mentioning stories of our last visit or asking us how “it” went. It means a lot not to feel like just another file in the drawer. Also, there is a great selection of name brand frames this is what initially drew me to this location. I love a good brand name frame, and so do my kids. My kids love this place they are kid friendly here. My son in 5th grade, wanted to get contacts and they were so patient with him and are really good teachers assisting him getting them in and out. I would highly recommend this place.

First off, it was relatively easy to get an appointment here, which surprised me, given its high ratings on Google/Yelp. Dr. Leverett spent a lot of time with me asking/answering questions so I was happy with my first optometry visit in decades. Beyond that, she recommended I delay my child's upcoming appointment (and the related $ in her pocket) by six months, so I am impressed.

I found this eye center on the web based on great reviews I read. The reviews were right. This place is awesome!!! They have a great staff. I have an extremely high prescription and Ramona has been great in helping me. She has helped me with picking out my eyeglass frames to helping me get the thinnest lenses possible. As for contact lenses, they will not just order your lenses. They prefer that you try them out first to make sure they are a good fit and that you feel comfortable in them. The eye doctor is also great and does a thorough exam. I would highly recommend this eye care center. I am completely satisfied with the service I received and will definitely be back next year.

So when you have to drive from Newport News for a 9am appt for 2 girls and you can have a fresh cup of cappuccino with an expresso shot..my type of place! This is our second appt and they are amazing. Even though it's a far drive for me, I appreciate the Saturday appt and this amazing coffee machine they have in here😊. The staff was very professional and very sweet. The last appt we had an issue with the insurance and getting my daughter a more extensive exam, they made sure they were able to get her that exam and made appts for services in Hampton. I won't mind driving over here once a year for that type of service for my girls❤

I've been going to Marcia for years and love her. You never have to wait for your appointment. We had a change in our insurance a few years back and had to leave her and go to Neatrour, Beach Eye Care for appointments. It was horrible. You felt like you were in a cattle prod. First you waited in the front lounge for 30 - 60 minutes, then you got to sit in a chair close to the examining room for about 15 - 30 minutes, then you were seen by a different associate everytime. Then Neatrour would come in for about 10 seconds and try to sell you on lasik which I would never do with him bc he could not even figure out which eye was my dominate eye for mono vision. When I went back to Leverett after getting my old insurance back, she suggested I try mono vision with my contacts but I told her it didn't work for me as Neatrour had already tried it twice. She looked at my charts and said he was not using the correct lens for my dominant eye. She set me up with mono contact lens and it worked instantly. I love Leverette but in my most recent visit I saw her new associate, Dr Ashley who is very nice, very knowledgeable and pleasant. I set up my appointment online and when I arrived I was not on their books but they were still able to take care of me with the new associate. I recommend calling in for your appointment and not setting it up online.

Look no further for a great optometrist and eyewear-buying experience. The whole process was effortless and expedient as the front office staff got me checked in and assisted in the completion of my paperwork and Dr. Leverett conducted a thorough and compassionate eye exam. My vision problem began on a Saturday. I called the Levertt Eyecare office late morning to see if I could be seen, a very hopeful call at that. Dr. Leverett, after hearing my symptoms, asked me to come in. She took me through a very thorough two and a half hour exam, way past the time her office should have closed for the day. I had my eyes examine with my eye doctor but had be searching other places for frames....after going into other eye practices looking for frames and being overwhelmed with 2 and 3 people at one time just throwing different frames at me to see had me feeling very disgusted and a bit drained.....My co-worker told me about Linda Dr Leverett"s office and her frames..I was already at my wits end and didn't feel like looking anymore so I told Linda that I would go....I went there and was greeted with warm smiles and I told the ladies at the front desk that I just wanted to look at the frames and they said ok take your time..I looked around and no one bothered me and I tried on quite a few pair and a lady name Carol said let me know if they is anything that I can do to help you..she was pleasant and kind and I really like that...I asked her about a frame and from that point on she continued to give me that one on one help that I needed....as a matter of fact I tried on at lest 15 pairs of frames!!...lol....we laughed and talked and my experience there was excellent....I purchased a pair a frames that I really like...She was great..I will continue to go there.....
